The ambitious Italian only took charge of the North Londoners at the beginning of this month.
But he has already made it clear to chairman Daniel Levy and managing director of football Fabio Paratici that he needs more options in attack.
Vlahovic is top of Conte’s shopping list after bagging 21 goals for Fiorentina in Serie A last season.
The frontman, 21, has netted eight goals in 12 league games this term and Italian giants Juventus are also keen.
He was already on Paratici’s radar when the Italian joined Spurs as their new recruitment guru last summer.
With Vlahovic’s contract due to expire in 2023, Fiorentina are said to be willing to cash in on their £65million-rated marksman.

But Tottenham are facing stiff competition from the Gunners, City and Juve — although reports in Italy claim the player’s agent is refusing to take Arsenal’s calls amid speculation he has agreed terms with another club.
If that club is Juventus, it could be a double disaster for Conte — as the Old Lady has been offering another Spurs target, winger Dejan Kulusevski, as a makeweight in the deal.
Paratici was the man who signed the Swedish wideman, 21, for the Turin giants back in January 2020.
Tottenham are also keeping tabs on Club Brugge’s 20-year-old attacking midfielder Charles De Ketelaere ahead of the January transfer window.
Although the Belgian is said to prefer a switch to Prem champs City.
But despite calling for reinforcements in January, Conte is refusing to give up on the club’s forgotten stars.
He has told outcasts Dele Alli and Harry Winks — tipped to leave after being frozen out by former bosses Nuno Espirito Santo and Jose Mourinho — they still have futures at the club.
And they have responded well to being drilled hard by Conte during the international break.
The England pair are among ten senior stars who were put through their paces by the Italian and his coaching staff this week, while their pals were away with their countries.

How Tottenham could line-up under Antonio Conte following January transfer window including Dejan Kulusevski

One way Spurs could line up after their January signings
It is believed that one of Conte’s stipulations to taking the job was that he would have money to spend in the transfer market.
And the cash could begin to flow as early as January when he looks to improve his squad for the rest of the season.
One man they have recently been linked with is Dejan Kulusevski, a winger who would fit perfectly into Conte’s 3-4-3 formation either as a wingback or a right-sided attacker.
The Juve outcast has attracted interest from both Spurs and Arsenal as he seeks more game time away from Serie A.
Kulusevski was initially brought to Juve from Parma for £30m back in January 2020 by Spurs’ director of football Fabio Paratici.
He has scored eight goals and assisted eight more in 62 appearances for the Italian giants.

Another way Tottenham could line up following the January window
Meanwhile, other players Spurs have been linked with include Inter Milan centre-back Stefan de Vrij.
The 29-year-old Dutchman won the Serie A title under Conte last season and could be interested in joining him in North London.
He would form a back three alongside Eric Dier and summer arrival Cristian Romero.
Central midfield is another area Spurs may look to bolster by dipping into the January market.
Oliver Skipp and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg currently occupy the middle of the park for Tottenham.
But AC Milan man Franck Kessie could be set to compete with them for a starting place as the Italian side look to offload him before his contract expires at the end of the season.

If Conte misses out on Kessie, Italy midfielder Nico Barella is another possible target for the Lilywhites.
Tottenham currently sit ninth in the Premier League table with 16 points from their opening 11 games.
Their next game after the international break will be Conte’s first home league match in charge when they host Leeds on November 20.

Manchester United and Newcastle have both been linked with a move.
Tuttomercatoweb now claim Spurs and Paris Saint-Germain are weighing up an offer.
Inter are unable to pay Brozovic, 28, the £125,000-a-week wages he is claimed to be demanding.
Conte is reportedly keeping an eye on the situation and could make a swoop for his former player.
The pair won Serie A together last season after the Italian transformed Brozovic into a playmaker just in front of the back four.
Moneybags PSG could be another option and would have no problem stumping up his wage demands.

And Newcastle’s new Saudi owners are hoping to make the Croatia star one of their first statement signings.
Atletico Madrid are also thought to be preparing an offer for the highly-rated Inter ace.
Conte will be given £150million to spend on shaping his own Spurs side.
He has already started chasing down his transfer targets and is thought to be close to landing AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.
Although Spurs chief Fabio Paratici has hinted there will be no transfers in January. More

Tottenham ‘lead Arsenal in transfer race for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic’ as Conte sets sights on Kane back-up

TOTTENHAM are leading the way in their pursuit of Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, according to reports from Italy.New Spurs boss Antonio Conte is thought to be eyeing up a forward who can back up England captain Harry Kane.

And, with Vlahovic preparing to enter the final year of his Fiorentina contract in June, Lanazione believe the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium could be his next destination.
Talks between Vlahovic, 21, and the Serie A side have stalled and a new deal now looks to be off the table.
He had received interest from Manchester City and Atletico Madrid in the summer, but those enquiries eventually came to nothing.
The Serbian netted 21 goals in 40 games for Fiorentina last season, with the only players to outscore him in the Italian top flight being Cristiano Ronaldo, Romelu Lukaku and Luis Muriel.
And the young striker has not let up at the start of the new campaign having already scored ten goals in just 12 appearances.
Along with Spurs, Vlahovic has also caught the eye of North London rivals Arsenal as they seek a replacement for Alexandre Lacazette should he leave the Emirates at the end of the season.

The Frenchman’s deal with Arsenal expires in the summer and no new contract appears to be on the horizon.
But it is Spurs who remain the frontrunners to secure Vlahovic’s signature as they begin a new chapter under Conte.
Their talisman Kane has failed to hit the ground running since his transfer saga with Manchester City came to an end.
The England skipper has netted seven goals in 14 games in the 2021-22 season.

However, only one of those has come in the Premier League and he has been very quiet in recent Spurs games.

The Lilywhites have already lost five league matches this season, the joint-fifth most in the division. More
