      Arsenal and Tottenham joined by Bayern Munich in transfer chase for Middlesbrough defender Djed Spence

      BAYERN MUNICH have joined Arsenal and Tottenham in the race for Middlesbrough defender Djed Spence, according to reports.The 21-year-old is currently on loan at Nottingham Forest from Middlesbrough and has attracted the attention of some huge clubs during his spell.

      The Gunners have had him on their radar ever since they were subject to a 1-0 defeat against Forest in January.
      Following the game Ian Wright described his performance as ‘one of the best right-back performances I have seen for a very long time’.
      Tottenham are also known to be interested in Spence.
      Spurs had two bids rejected for the young star on deadline day in January – both were reportedly under Middlesbrough’s £15million valuation.
      However, Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are now in the running to sign him.
      According to Sky Sports, the German giants have been scouting Spence and will continue to do so in the coming weeks.

      Hojbjerg has already said that he felt at his most comfortable under Mourinho’s leadership, so the prospect of a move could seem appealing.

      “All of our doors are open in this situation, because we need to understand what the players and his agents really want to do.
      “We received some important offers for him. Offers that were very substantial but we never got any feedback from his agents.

      Arteta has admitted there is a ‘cloud’ hanging over Arsenal’s forward options after skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was axed for disciplinary reasons and both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah entering the final six months of their contracts.
      He has also added that the Gunners are working hard on new additions and that they ‘are open’ to a big signing as long as it’s financially viable.
      Vlahovic, who has seven goals in 14 games for his country, joined Fiorentina from Partizan Belgrade in 2018. 
      He got 21 last season for the Italian club and has continued that red-hot form by scoring 20 in 24 matches so far in the current campaign.
      Italian sources also say Vlahovic’s preference is to join a side competing in the Champions League – something the Gunners and Spurs cannot offer at the moment and may struggle to next term.

      TOTTENHAM are plotting a move to sign Adama Traore, according to reports.And the North Londoners could offer Matt Doherty back to Wolves in a part-exchange transfer.

      According to The Athletic, Antonio Conte wants to convert the winger into a wing-back.
      He feels Emerson Royal is not offering enough in attack and the plan would see Traore coached to fulfil his defensive duties.
      Conte did something similar with Victor Moses at Chelsea in 2016-17 as the Blues won the Premier League.
      Spurs were linked with Traore last summer when Nuno Espirito Santo had his brief stint in the White Hart Lane dugout.
      But that deal fell through as the Spaniard remained at Molineux.
      Traore, 25, has 18 months left on his current deal – and does not look likely to sign an extension.

      Redknapp added: “I remember going back to manage Portsmouth in 2006 and they had been cut adrift at the bottom of the league, 
      “But I managed to get a couple of players in during the January window and they made all the difference.
      “I took three lads from Tottenham, Pedro Mendes, Sean Davis and Noe Pamarot, and that was one of Daniel Levy’s special buy one get one free deals. 
      “When they came in we managed to get ourselves off the bottom and have a fantastic run and stay up. 
      “The January window saved us that year. It’s a very difficult window but when you’re struggling it’s a godsend.”
      As the January transfer window is in full swing, Papa John’s is looking to make its own winter signings with the help of footie legends Redknapp and Ally McCoist.
