MANCHESTER UNITED have enquired about the possibility of signing Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni, according to reports.The 23-year-old centre-back has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham.

Spurs boss Antonio Conte is keen to bring him to North London, but he will now have to fend off competition from Man Utd.

Bastoni has spoken about his future and failed to rule out a move.
Speaking to Rai Sport, he said: “I have two years of my contract with Inter, so I am relaxed. The club hasn’t told me anything.
“I am just waiting to go on vacation after this and then start pre-season with Inter.”
Spurs still seems the logical option for Bastoni given he played under Conte at Inter.

According to Manchester Evening News, the Premier League duo sent scouts to watch the Danish national team beat former Red Devils interim manager Ralf Rangnick’s Austria 2-1 in Vienna.

STEVEN BERGWIJN has admitted that he wants to leave Tottenham this summer.And a move to Ajax could be on the cards.

Last month, the winger, 24, declared he was frustrated with the lack of game time he has been given at Spurs having made 32 sporadic appearances across all competitions this season.
His stance has still not changed, and he has now made his intentions to leave North London very clear.
When speaking to Dutch outlet AD, Bergwijn said: “I just need to go play. I want to leave Spurs now, that’s for sure.
“Is it important that my new club plays in the Champions League? That’s not my top priority. It would be nice, but what’s important is that I’m going to play.”

ATLETICO MADRID star Yannick Carrasco is set to be the subject of a £50million transfer tussle between Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, and Aston Villa, according to reports. The Belgium wingman is generating interest after Atletico Madrid made it clear they were willing to let him leave this summer.

Carrasco, 28, is a versatile player who can play at both wing-back and winger.
He regularly plays as a wing-back for the Belgium national team and Atletico, but also plays as a more traditional winger when Diego Simeone deploys his magnum opus 4-4-2 formation.
According to Fichajes, Spurs want him for his ability to play wing-back, a position Antonio Conte has already reinforced with the signing of Ivan Perisic on a free transfer.

TOTTENHAM are demanding £21million for Steven Bergwijn amid interest from Ajax, according to reports.The winger, 24, struggled for game time last season and scored just four goals in all competitions.

Despite that he was subject to interest from Ajax in January but the Dutch champions had a £15m bid rejected by Spurs.
According to the Daily Mail Tottenham have now hit back another bid worth £17m, with Spurs setting their asking price at £21m, report ESPN.
But Ajax still remain confident of landing the former PSV star, with Bergwijn keen to play regular football ahead of the Qatar World Cup this winter.
The forward has a regular role with his national team and scored a brilliant long-range effort in the 4-1 Nations League demolition of Belgium on Friday.
He received the ball with his back to goal 30 yards out and quickly turned before firing the ball into the bottom corner.
But Bergwijn has not demonstrated his goalscoring ability consistently enough for Tottenham, which is why they are open to selling him.
Bergwijn has not started a match since January 23 with Antonio Conte preferring Dejan Kulusevski – and the Italian accepts the Dutchman’s sale will help balance the books.
Conte wants several signings this summer as Spurs return to the Champions League – having already captured Ivan Perisic who could operate on the wing.
