Conte blasted those suggestions as “disrespectful” and said he was “very happy” at Spurs, who have an option of a year’s extension on his deal, which is up next summer.
He said: “There doesn’t exist a right time. It could be tomorrow. It could be the last day of the season.
“The most important thing for me and the club is to understand we want to continue together, to go in the same direction.
“This is the most important thing. Otherwise I don’t see a problem.

“I don’t see another situation. I said in the past, I didn’t need another contract to be sure to stay in a club.
“Also, for the club, it’s a good investment to have a coach like me and my staff. At the right time I’ll take the best decision.
“At this moment, I’m really happy. I don’t want to push the club about the situation because it’s not the right time.

Conte has overseen an unbeaten Prem start with Spurs, who can go top if they win at arch-rivals Arsenal tomorrow.
Gossip will continue until he commits his future but SunSport understands the ex-Chelsea boss would not be keen on Juventus, where he won three titles in three seasons between 2011 and 2014.
That is despite those reports in his homeland.
He raged: “It’s incredible — and disrespectful for the coach that works in Juventus. And disrespectful for me at Tottenham.
“We’ve just started the season. Many times I always say I’m happy, and enjoying it at Tottenham.

“I have a great relationship with the chairman Daniel Levy and managing director of football Fabio Paratici. I don’t see problems for the future.

Tottenham star Emerson Royal has spent almost £1MILLION to make himself a better player, including scouting opponents

EMERSON ROYAL has been doing everything he can to adapt to the lung-busting demands Antonio Conte puts on his wing-backs.It has seen the Brazilian and his managerial team, led by his dad Emerson Zulu, spend £800,000 on goods and services to improve his performance.

The defender uses his own oxygen chamber to recover after games
Royal even had PSG star Achraf Hakimi scouted so he could perfect parts of his gameCredit: Getty
That includes buying a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, to put the defender in better condition for those hellish runs up and down the pitch.
A personal scouting report of Achraf Hakimi was commissioned so Royal could study the game of the Paris Saint-Germain star, who shone under Conte as a wing-back at Inter Milan.
While he has even been working with a neuroscientist to help cope with the psychological pressures of being an elite athlete.
Royal, who is naturally a right-back rather than wing-back, joined Spurs from Barcelona in August 2021 for 25.8million.

The 23-year-old has copped flak from some Spurs supporters who want more from his end product in the attacking third of the pitch.
Those grumbles have been valid at times but one thing Royal can never be criticised for is his dedication to honing his craft.
That work ethic goes some way to explaining why Conte, a performance obsessive, has relied so heavily on him.
Royal came on as a substitute in the 6-2 thrashing of Leicester just before the international break but prior to that fixture, he had started the last 18 games on the trot.

And there is a strong possibility he will return to the starting line-up for the mouth-watering North London derby at arch-rivals Arsenal tomorrow lunchtime (SAT).
Conte likes Royal’s defensive capabilities but the Sao Paulo lad knew he must improve both physically and technically going forward to flourish in the Italian’s system.
He has been doing lots of extra work outside of Spurs training to boost his fitness, with much centering around recovery.
That has seen the ex-Real Betis loanee invest in a Vitaeris 320 hyperbaric chamber, which looks a bit like a bed and helps the user receive more oxygen to heal quicker.
Royal’s father was the one who hired a scout to do a write-up on Hakimi, whose success from transforming himself under Conte at Inter into an excellent wing-back was seen as an example from which to learn.
Dr Fabiano de Abreu Agrela, a neuroscientist and human behaviour specialist, has been brought on board and credited by others close to Royal for helping him focus more and worry less.
The Portuguese, with Brazilian citizenship, who also works with Chilean international and former QPR loanee Eduardo Vargas, was asked by SunSport how much Royal has bought into his methods.
Dr De Abreu replied: “Totally, he trusts and bets on it from the beginning.
“He is willing to do what it takes to give and be at his best.
“It’s not easy for a player to leave a type of culture and expectations and go to the fastest and most demanding league on the planet. This adaptation plays with the mind.”

Conte hailed Royal for being “totally involved in every game” when speaking about the Brazilian earlier this month, and said he had made a “good improvement” from last season.
The Brazilian may come across as a jokey character on social media, but his investment in his game suggests he is deeply serious about making his spell at Spurs an undisputed success.

He has not scored so far in four Prem appearances this term, but his brutal snub to Spurs has left Chelsea fans on social media asking for him to be rewarded with a new contract.
Broja told the Players Tribune: “I remember going to a tournament, the Tottenham scout actually came to watch another boy.
“But I just happened to play well. I got top goalscorer and player of the tournament. He approached my mum and dad before I even knew about it.
“Then my mum and dad came over and said, ‘The man from Tottenham came over to us.’ But I just thinking, ‘Who are Tottenham’?”

However Broja did join Spurs’ Under-8s and spent two years at the club before jumping ship to London rivals Chelsea.
After loan spells at Saints and Vitesse Arnhem, Broja, 21, signed a new contract with Chelsea – taking him up to 2028.
And Broja certainly has high ambitions in the game, claiming he wants to be Albania’s answer to the Brazilian Ronaldo.
Broja was born and grew up in England, but chose to play for the country of his parents’ birth.

“You see, growing up, I was all about Cristiano Ronaldo, like most kids of my generation.

“I know I’ve got high targets. I want to be Albania’s own Harry Kane, Ronaldo or R9.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Antonio Conte’s side will offer the winger a contract whether or not they qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Romano claims that Tottenham will have to pay €35million (£31m) if the Sweden international plays in at least 20 Premier League games this season and they finish in Premier League’s top four.
If Spurs fail to seal Champions League qualification they will still have a “buy option clause”.
Kulusevski arrived alongside former Juventus team-mate Rodrigo Bentancur and together they proved vital in the team’s last-ditch effort for a top-four finish last season.

The Swedish ace has registered a total of six goals and 11 assists in 29 appearances ever since his arrival from Turin.
Conte has praised the ex-Atalanta star’s immediate impact at the North Londoners.
Kulusevski has proven to still be a key player under the Italian tactician this season as he adds even more attacking threat next to star duo Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.
Conte previously said: “He’s a Tottenham player 100 per cent in every aspect. Not officially but he’s 100 per cent a Tottenham player.”

Kulusevski is loving life in England as he admitted “everything is going better” in the UK than it did in Italy.
The versatile forward added that he made the “best” decision leaving Juventus last winter.
Kulusevski told Gazzetta dello Sport: “Sometimes in football things simply go well. I haven’t changed anything in these months.
“I always go and always went to the pitch with full commitment. However, at Juventus, something didn’t work regardless of how much I worked.

“The decision to leave Italy was the best I could make in that situation.
“Everything is going better in England. On and off the pitch. Now I always want to play football and win for my team.” More

Spurs are believed to be putting into place a plan to replace Lloris, who has been at the club for over a decade now.
The reliable Frenchman has made 425 appearances for the London club but his contract runs out in 2024.
The Evening Standard reports that the 35-year-old is not expected to sign a new one and so Spurs are putting a long-term replacement plan in place.
Top of their list is Oblak, who has been Atletico’s goalkeeper since 2014.
    READ MORE ON FOOTBALL
He has regularly been ranked as among the best keepers in Europe and played a crucial role in the Atletico team who won La Liga in 2021.
The Slovenian also starred as the Spanish side reached the 2016 Champions League final.
Conte and managing director Fabio Paratici have spoken about landing the stopper, but could find him difficult to prise away.
Oblak’s contract runs until 2028, which offers Diego Simeone and the club security, and he reportedly had a release clause of £107m.

But the Standard reports that clause is believed to have been lowered significantly.
Tottenham may face a fight from their Premier League rivals to secure Oblak’s signature.
Manchester United are believed to be monitoring the 29-year-old’s situation closely, and could themselves be contemplating a move to replace a long-term keeper in David De Gea.
While Chelsea have previously made contact with Oblak via their former goalkeeper and technical advisor Petr Cech during Frank Lampard’s reign. More

Bayern Munich keep Harry Kane as No1 transfer target after England star’s goalscoring heroics against Germany

HARRY KANE remains Bayern Munich’s No1 transfer target, according to reports. The German giants were keen to try and prise the striker away from Tottenham last summer, but never got close to agreeing a deal.

Bayern lost Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona, and still see Kane as the ideal long-term replacement.
According to Kicker, club bosses remain adamant that they can sign the England captain from his boyhood club.
Kane, who netted a penalty in the Three Lions’ 3-3 draw with Germany last night, wanted out of Spurs during the summer of 2021, but is happy again in North London under Antonio Conte.
His contract at Tottenham expires in June 2024 and the forward is believed to be relaxed about the situation.
    READ MORE IN FOOTBALL
Kicker claim that Bayern have made “gentle” contact with Kane’s representatives in the hope that he won’t extend his stay at Spurs further than 2024.
Julian Nagelsmann’s side could look to sign Tottenham’s No10 on a free transfer at the end of next season.
Alternatively, they could try and test their resolve at the end of this season with one year remaining on the contract.
They managed to pull off a similar deal for Sadio Mane over the summer, when it became clear that the Senegalese ace wanted to leave Liverpool after six successful years.

Whether Kane would want to move abroad while chasing Alan Shearer’s goalscoring record remains to be seen.
He has made no secret of his desire to catch the Newcastle legend and is now 71 strikes away from his 260 total – having moved above Andrew Cole into third in the all-time list already this season.
Speaking about Kane’s future last month, Tottenham manager Conte urged him to extend his stay.
The Italian said: “My opinion is only one of a million opinions.
“We are talking about a world-class striker and a player who in this moment is the most representative player for Tottenham. For sure I would like him to sign a new contract.
“But in this moment, for me it is very important to see him happy, totally involved with this season, totally involved with this project and in what we are doing. For me, this is the most important.
“Then it’s a decision that the player and the club have to take.”

Dave Kidd: North London derby being Strictly for title hopefuls is as disorientating as watching Tony Adams in sequins

IT feels as disorientating as watching Tony Adams in sequins on Strictly Come Dancing. But on Saturday, we’ll witness a North London derby between two teams with genuine ambitions of challenging for the title.

Arsenal legend Tony Adams raised eyebrows with his appearance on StrictlyCredit: PA
This is a rivalry so intense that 47,000 watched their Women’s Super League clash at the weekend.
But for the first time in six years, Arsenal v Tottenham is a truly elite Premier League fixture, rather than a local squabble of little interest north of Watford.
Last year’s derbies were two of the most one-sided home wins you’ll ever see — when Nuno Espirito Santo’s Spurs were demolished at the Emirates and Arsenal choked with Champions League football up for grabs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in May.
This one promises to be different with Arsenal top, and unbeaten Spurs in third, after both clubs kicked a deeply ingrained habit by nailing the summer transfer window.
    READ MORE FOOTBALL
Nobody could have seen this coming a year ago, during Nuno’s disastrous Spurs reign, following a laughable 76-day search for Jose Mourinho’s successor and with Arsenal still floundering under Mikel Arteta.
Yet the appointment of Antonio Conte was a game-changer at Spurs, enabling them to seize fourth spot — before the summer signings of Richarlison, Yves Bissouma, Ivan Perisic and Clement Lenglet added experience and quality to significantly bolster the squad.
And after blowing a return to the Champions League, Arsenal bought in two multiple Manchester City title-winners in Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko, who, along with returning loanee William Saliba, have improved Arteta’s team immeasurably.
Both managers have enjoyed the authority to make tough decisions which have gone against the grain — and, crucially, both are sharing a hymn sheet with their sporting directors: Edu at Arsenal and Fabio Paratici at Spurs.

When Arteta bombed out his captain Pierre-Emerick Aubemeyang, some of Arsenal’s more excitable supporters demanded the Spaniard’s sacking.
But that move was a logical extension of Arsenal’s policies of prioritising squad unity and promoting youth — an approach which reached hallucinatory extremes when 15-year-old midfielder Ethan Nwaneri made his first-team debut at Brentford.
Conte has also been able to challenge his club’s culture — though in a different direction to Arsenal.
Spurs bought early and added experience this summer, rather than their usual obsession with late bargains and resale value.
Tottenham have not been swashbuckling this season and, under Conte, they probably won’t be as thrilling as Mauricio Pochettino’s peak side, nor the under-rated Harry Redknapp team which included Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and Rafael van der Vaart.
But the ability to grind out results is what Spurs have too often lacked.
Richarlison is already proving to be a big hit at TottenhamCredit: Rex
And in Richarlison they have a player who is all kinds of everything. A great individual talent, yet also a team player who gives them the ability to rotate their attack without a drop in quality.
He is a crowd-pleaser, flair player and a cynical irritant, loathed by opposing players and fans.
And having scored twice for Brazil against Ghana last Friday, there’s a decent chance Richarlison will be a World Cup winner by Christmas.
Especially when you consider that Brazil are strong enough to have left Arsenal striker Jesus out of their latest squad.
Jesus didn’t look such an obvious hit when Arsenal signed him from Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola was unsure of his abilities as a top-class, out-and-out centre-forward.
But Arteta had no doubts — and he’s being proved right.
Both North London managers know what it takes to win the Premier League.
Conte did it himself at Chelsea, while Arteta assisted Guardiola in back-to-back title-winning campaigns at the Etihad.
Can either of them finish above City this season? It’s highly doubtful.
But if there is a winner on Saturday, in a fixture which feels unusually significant so early in the campaign, then they must fancy their chances of at least being part of the title argument.
And that would be as unfamiliar as watching Adams do the paso doble.
    SALUTE SARDAR
I’M not sure how many armbands Harry Kane could fit around his bicep at the World Cup.
The rainbow ‘One Love’ effort, which he will wear to promote LGBTQ+ equality, is a well-intentioned if largely meaningless, gesture against Qatari state homophobia.
But England kick off their campaign against Iran, whose Islamic-extremist government subjugates women to a barbaric extent.
Iran’s Bayer Leverkusen forward Sardar Azmoun bravely spoke out in favour of women’s-rights campaigners, claiming he ‘doesn’t care’ if it costs him his place at the World Cup.
Now that is a protest of genuine meaning.

    GREA-T DINING
AFTER Jack Grealish claimed that Graeme Souness has a ‘problem’ with him, the great Scotsman invited Manchester City’s £100million man for a night out together.
The player has apparently accepted and he should go because sharing a meal with Souness is an enriching experience.
Grealish should expect to find a warm, decent, fascinating bloke — with far greater depth than his TV pundit persona — but also someone who genuinely feels angry when he believes a footballer is not fulfilling his potential.
He should also expect to foot the bill. And for there to be some pricey champagne on it…
    STORMING IT
YOU might consider Jose Mourinho an outdated coach.
But the fact the Portuguese appears on a new track, and video, by the rapper Stormzy — and it actually works — is testament to his enduring charisma.
No other football manager could pull that off.
    JOE OVER AJ?
WHILE Tyson Fury v Anthony Joshua would undoubtedly be the ‘biggest’ fight in British boxing history, would it currently be a contest between Britain’s best two heavyweights?
After witnessing AJ’s recent struggles and Joe Joyce’s impressive KO of Joseph Parker, it’s tempting to rate Joyce as our second-best big man.

    CHEAT STORM
THERE was uproar at Lord’s when India’s women won a one-day international by virtue of Deepti Sharma executing a ‘Mankad’ run-out of England’s Charlie Dean at the non-striker’s end.
This caused a predictable outcry of the ‘it’s just not cricket’ variety by those who falsely claim the game has ever been a haven for fair play.
    Sharma acted within cricket’s laws.
And whenever elite women’s sport proves that it’s not all a bit too ‘nicey-nicey’ — as with the ultra-physical Euros football final between England and Germany — it’s a welcome slap round the chops for the misogynists who want to do it down.
    HORNETS NEST
GOOD luck to the new Watford boss Slaven Bilic.
After the end of Rob Edwards’ 11-match reign, the average life span  of the last seven permanent Watford bosses — Edwards, Roy Hodgson, Claudio Ranieri, Xisco Munoz, Vladimir Ivic, Nigel Pearson and Quique Sanchez Flores — is 19 games.
At that rate, Bilic can expect to be sacked on January 28.
    MIT THE JACKPOT
ALEKSANDAR MITROVIC hit a hat-trick for Serbia against Sweden and it takes the Fulham striker’s tally to 47 goals in his last 57 internationals.
That comes on top of the 49 he has scored in his last 50 league games.
Yet most bookies are offering 66-1 against Mitrovic winning the World Cup Golden Boot — get in quick.
    ON THE MARK
THE appointment of Mark Noble as West Ham’s sporting director just four months after he finished playing caused some predictable sniggering.
But the long-serving former club captain has completed a Harvard Business degree and a deep knowledge of West Ham’s academy and senior squad.
