That is according to the Daily Mail, who state that “clubs are braced for a rearranged festive fixture list that could see Christmas Day left as the only one without a televised game”.
Premier League execs are currently making their amendments to the match schedule for the back end of December and January.
They have already announced their TV picks and alterations for the first round of games for December.
And now they hope to confirm the Festive fixtures and their new timings early this week.

This fresh update states that “scheduling a first Premier League game on Christmas Eve since 1995 has been on the agenda” for bosses.
Wolves’ home clash with Chelsea is the favourite for the controversial TV spot but that has received fierce backlash since speculation emerged last week.
Top-flight teams are aware that further changes have been discussed and that they would enable supporters to watch at least one match per day – except for December 25.
However, there are a number of factors to be considered before any official announcement such as travel issues, policing and broadcasters.

Due to the Qatar World Cup last winter, last season’s festive fixtures did not get underway until Boxing Day.
During the 11 day period that followed there was only a December 29 that did not feature a Premier League match on TV.
This report also states that “at least one match is in line to be pushed back as far as January 2” with the FA Cup third round taking place over the opening weekend of the New Year. More

Rarely-seen referee decision made in Liverpool vs Everton leaving TNT Sports commentators confused

TNT SPORTS commentators and fans alike were left bemused after the officials in the Merseyside derby made a rarely-seen decision. As the game was coming to a close the fourth official readied his board to indicate how much time would be added on.
Officials in the Merseyside derby only added nine minutes of added time after initially indicating there would be ten
But despite initially preparing to show ten minutes of additional time, Thomas Bramall seemed to change his mind.
He changed the board and ultimately only added on nine minutes to the end of the second half.
TNT Sports’ lead commentator Darren Fletcher couldn’t understand the decision and seemed puzzled as to how it had happened.
But Everton fans may be glad that they didn’t have to endure more added time as Liverpool doubled their lead in the 97th minute.

The Reds wound up 2-0 winners at Anfield thanks to a Mohamed Salah brace.
And it was an action packed affair as would be expected from the historically feisty fixture.
It lived up to its reputation for the most red cards in a Premier League fixture in history when Ashley Young was given his marching orders in the first half.
Before Liverpool finally broke the deadlock in the 75th minute from a Salah penalty.

While Everton fans don’t have much to complain about with Young’s dismissal they have been left fuming with referee Craig Pawson’s decision not to send off Ibrahim Konate.
The Liverpool centre-back escaped a second yellow card when he fouled Toffees striker Beto before being immediately hooked by a cautious Jurgen Klopp.
Fans were quick to point what they felt was a huge mistake and one even went as far as saying that the game was rigged.

Pickford’s cheat sheet could not help him save Mohamed Salah’s penalty
Liverpool were awarded a spot-kick following a VAR review after the ball struck Michael Keane’s outstretched arm.
As Salah lined up to take the penalty, Pickford could be seen picking up his water bottle.
Once he had put it down, cameras zoomed in on the bottle, showing he had a breakdown of Liverpool’s penalty takers printed onto it.
The cheat sheet appeared to show where the Reds players put their penalties and their success rate.

In scoring, Salah notched his 200th career league goal as well as tallying his 28th goal contribution in his last 24 league appearances.
Reacting to Pickford’s bottle on X, formerly Twitter, one fan joked: “Jordan Pickford had a bottle of Mo Salah’s penalty percentage and still didn’t save it.”

Everton had defended well to frustrate their Merseyside rivals prior to the goal.
Despite being reduced to 10 men before the interval as Ashley Young was shown a second yellow card.
Pickford has previously used a penalty cheat sheet when facing spot-kicks for Everton.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted a chart on his bottle back in May after he saved a penalty from James Maddison against Leicester.

McCoist, 61, is now renowned for his co-commentary on football and analysis on radio.
However, in the twilight of his playing career, McCoist starred in a little-known movie called A Shot at Glory which released in 2000.
The plot of the film centres around manager Gordon McLeod, played by Duvall, who is struggling to get results with Scottish second division side Kilnockie FC.
Under threat of moving the club to Dublin, Ireland by its American owner – played by Michael Keaton – the club attempt to reach their first ever Scottish Cup final.

Star striker Jackie McQuillan, played by McCoist, is signed from Arsenal with a big but troublesome reputation.
Ironically, the Rangers icon’s character in the film is an ex-Celtic legend who is also married to McLeod’s daughter.
The movie has a 6.2/10 rating on IMDb, with one reviewer calling it “embarrassing” and another calling it “one of the better football movies”.
Despite having not having a pro career in acting, Duvall insisted McCoist was a “natural actor” and highlighted his abilities when filming a sex scene while his then-wife, Allison, was present.

When marking the 20th anniversary of the film, the 92-year-old said: “That guy McCoist he was a natural actor, a good natural actor.
“He was very good even when he was doing a love scene and his real wife was right there on the set.
“What about that? Doing a love scene with your wife watching. Oh my God, that sure was interesting.
“He’s a great guy. I met Albert Finney and I mentioned I knew Ally McCoist and he said ‘Ally McCoist, sharp as a tack’.”
Filming took place across several sites, including Dumbarton’s former ground Boghead Park and Hampden Park.
Super Ally, as he was known by the Ibrox faithful, also admitted he would love to make a sequel.
He said: “I loved it. I wouldn’t mind doing that again, to tell you the truth. I genuinely did enjoy it.
“We had a great group of people doing it as well, it was fantastic fun. But I’m not sure I could manage that overhead kick in the quarter-final now.”
McCoist was not the only notable name in the movie either, with former Bolton boss Owen Coyle having a cameo role in the movie.

With the recent success of Ted Lasso, there may be more scope for future football-themed film and TV projects.
