Eddie Howe’s men made a superb start to their first Champions League campaign in 20 years when they followed up a draw against AC Milan with a breathtaking 4-1 win over PSG at St James’ Park.
But back-to-back defeats to Borussia Dortmund have left them in need of results away at PSG and at home to AC Milan to avoid a group-stage exit.
Ahead of Newcastle’s trip to Paris, a TNT Sports segment saw Woods, Rio Ferdinand, Ally McCoist and Jermaine Jenas discuss their chances against the Ligue 1 champions.
Woods began the debate, asking: “Are we all Geordies tomorrow?”

McCoist confirmed he will be, before Ferdinand pointed at Woods’ black and white striped top and added: “You’re one today.”
Woods, who is now dating Geordie Love Island star Adam Collard, laughed and replied: “I mean, I am always half of one.”
The former talkSPORT host is an Arsenal supporter, but her dad is from Newcastle – meaning the Toon hold a special place in her heart.
They then turned their attention to what they expect to happen in Paris on Tuesday evening.

Woods said: “There was something about that performance at St James’ Park against PSG where it felt like every single one of the Newcastle players was at a different level.”
Ferdinand then replied: “Will they ever get to that feeling again? I think it’s going to be difficult.”
McCoist said: “Newcastle are just now on a crest of a wave, they’re really enjoying it. They’re enjoying the ride, and so they should.
“But I just think you look back to that PSG game, that was absolutely special.”
Before Jenas concluded the clip by adding: “Every time I’ve doubted Newcastle this year, they’ve delivered.
“I don’t see any reason to doubt them.”
The duo later shared a joke pitchside that led to Jenas hilariously threatening to walk off screens.

Arsenal travel to face Brentford at 5:30pmCredit: Getty
City vs Liverpool was originally set to be broadcast on Sky Sports at 5:30pm next Saturday, but it has been moved forward to 12:30pm.
That means Brentford’s clash with Arsenal, originally set to be shown on TNT Sports at lunchtime, has been pushed back to the evening slot.
Traditionally, TNT Sports will broadcast the first Premier League match of the day every Saturday while Sky Sports show the 5:30pm fixture.
However, that will change next week when Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp come face to face at 12:30pm on Sky Sports Premier League.

Brentford will then host Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal later that evening – live on TNT Sports.
Why have the fixtures been swapped?
The two Premier League fixtures were swapped because a local safety advisory group in Manchester – which includes members of the police – were concerned about the prospect of an early evening kick-off.
There have been several issues with fan trouble and behaviour surrounding the fixture in the past, so Premier League chiefs made the decision to bring the match forward.
Amid concerns about fan safety at the Etihad Stadium, Liverpool’s ticket allocation was cut by 20 per cent from 3,000 seats to 2,400 last season.

Crisis club Southend’s bench a sorry sight as they are forced to play with TWO subs live on TNT Sports…but still win

SOUTHEND bench looked pitiful as they were forced to play with just two substitutes live on TNT Sports. The crisis-hit club were hit with a transfer embargo this season forbidding the arrival of new signings.
Southend were forced to name just two substitutes on the bench
The subs bench was sparse for the visit of Chesterfield
Dan Mooney replaced Jack Wood in the final ten minutes
That has limited the Shrimpers to a squad size of just 17 players.
But recent injuries mean Kevin Maher has faced even tighter restrictions on his selection.
He was forced to name just two substitutes for the visit of National League leaders Chesterfield.
So the substitutes’ bench looked sparse as subs Dan Mooney and Brooklyn Kabongolo sat next to empty seats.

That meant Southend did not have a substitute goalkeeper on the bench.
But the limited numbers did not affect Southend as they came back from Will Grigg’s first-half goal to win 2-1.
However they are still in danger of being relegated after being docked 10 points for failing to pay a debt owed to HMRC.
Fans responded with protests against owner Ron Martin, and forced a match against Eastleigh into suspension by throwing tennis balls onto the pitch.

That is because a player from each side will wear a bodycam for the warm-ups prior to the match at Molineux.
And that will enable supporters in their armchairs to see exactly what stars go through when preparing for a top-flight clash – including the various drills and shooting practice.
As reported by the Daily Mail, TNT and the Premier League have struck a historic deal to introduce the innovative new tech.
The two players will wear the special vests, created by Israeli company MindFly.

The vests are fitted with a shatterproof AI-powered stabilisation bodycam on the chest, providing a wide-angle view through a small hole in the kit.
The camera is said to be so light that it is barely noticeable for the footballers who are used to wearing base layers and GPS trackers.
However, Ifab laws prevent the cameras from being worn for competitive matches – which means fans won’t get the incredible insight once the Wolves vs Spurs clash gets underway on TNT Sports.
Premier League Head of Media Operations and Innovation, Rachael Nightingale, said: “Finding new ways to bring our fans closer to the action on the pitch is a key focus for us.

“After the success of the bodycam trials at the Premier League Summer Series, we are looking forward to seeing what results this test will deliver for TNT and our audiences around the world.”
Supporters got an insight into the future of live sports broadcasting when Youri Tielemans and Bruno Guimaraes wore the bodycams during pre-season in the USA.
Viewers were stunned to see the speed of the friendly game, requiring fast thinking and incredible fitness levels.
A similar camera on referee Peter Bankes during Fulham’s tie with Brentford also revealed just how tricky officiating can be – and what they must deal with when the ball is in and out of play.
An FA trial also saw refs wear bodycams in an attempt to clamp down on poor behaviour and language towards officials, including in grassroots football.
And in May, Moises Caicedo bizarrely wore a bodycam for the pre-match handshakes as Brighton hosted Manchester United.
