Tuchel, 47, has guided the club to the FA Cup and Champions League finals and is set to be rewarded with a new deal.
Chelsea have serious money to spend this summer as they continue their bid to get back to the top of the Prem.
A proven goalscorer is seen as a huge priority, with Olivier Giroud, 34, and 23-year-old Tammy Abraham likely to be surplus to requirements.
The Stamford Bridge outfit have been monitoring Erling Haaland’s situation at Borussia Dortmund and also keeping a close eye on their former striker Romelu Lukaku at Inter Milan.
Meanwhile, Kai Havertz has opened up about his Covid nightmare.
Havertz is finally getting back to his best after testing positive in November and suffering the effects for two months.
The Blues’ German forward, 21, said: “It was very hard for me and it took three or four weeks to get well.
“After that I didn’t feel 100 per cent either.

“To be 100 per cent I think took me two months.
“It was a big sickness. I smelt nothing, I tasted nothing and I just lay the whole day in bed and had back pain. Hopefully, I will not get it again.”
Havertz signed for Chelsea from Bayer Leverkusen last summer, in a deal that could hit £70m.
On Saturday he will face Leicester in the FA Cup final.

He added: “I always dreamed to play in the FA Cup final and it’s very nice that they will have some fans back in the stadium.
“So it will be a very good atmosphere and I’m looking forward to it.
“We will give our all to win the trophy, that’s our aim.”

Harry Kane will be stuck at Tottenham unless Pep Guardiola demands him over Erling Haaland in £150m Man City transfer

City is fast becoming Kane’s last hope, with Real Madrid and Barcelona not interested.
Manchester United will not go any higher than £90m.
And Edinson Cavani’s new contract has bought them some time.
With Sergio Aguero leaving, City want a striker and Kane, 27, and Borussia Dortmund’s Haaland are the top targets.
Paris Saint-Germain are managed by Kane’s former boss Mauricio Pochettino.
But they have just persuaded Neymar to sign a new deal and also have Kylian Mbappe.
And Kane’s price is out of reach for Italy’s top clubs.
Guardiola may feel the younger Haaland, 20, coupled with Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, are better value.

Kane is seriously considering leaving, knowing time is running out to win major trophies.
Dortmund, meanwhile, insist prized asset Haaland will not be leaving this summer.
Sporting director Sebastian Kehl said: “I understand that Erling Haaland will play for Borussia Dortmund in the new season.
“Erling totally agrees. I see him every day and I can say that he completely identifies with the club.”

Liverpool are seven points off fourth-placed Chelsea and must win their last four to have any shot at Champions League qualification.
Klopp said: “If we do not make it into the Champions League, it will not be the fault of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer or his players.
“It will be our fault because even in this season, in which we have had so many injuries, we really should have been five or six points better than we are.
“I know Ole made ten changes but I would have done the same thing — I expected him to do that.
If we do not make it into the Champions League, it will not be the fault of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer or his playersJurgen Klopp
“This is the end of a long season already and then you get Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and it’s just not right.
“So it is not the fault of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, even if it means we now need to get a few favours if we are going to make the top four.”
Meanwhile, Klopp paid tribute to managerial rival Pep Guardiola and Manchester City for taking his fallen champions’ title.
The German revealed: “I texted Pep and also Ilkay Gundogan.

“For City to win five titles in the last ten years is exceptional. This is a great achievement.
“When you can bring together financial resources and good knowledge, with the best manager in the world, you can see what can be achieved.

Jack Grealish could make long-awaited return from injury for Aston Villa against Everton in huge England Euro 2020 boost

DEAN SMITH refuses to gamble on the fitness of Jack Grealish, no matter how much he wants to return before the Euros.Villa fans — and England boss Gareth Southgate — hope to catch their first glimpse of Grealish for three months against Everton on Thursday after a shin injury.

But boss Smith reckons the best the 25-year-old can hope for is a cameo appearance from the bench.
He said: “The one thing I will never do is risk one of my players’ health or safety, that always comes first.
“They are young men who want to play — and want to play through pain at times.
“All our conversations with Jack include our doctor. Jack trained on Saturday and again on Tuesday and he trained very well. I’ll have a chat with him and see how he feels.
“Is he ready to start games? No, but if he feels pain-free he’s ready to be part of the squad.”
Smith swatted away claims from Grealish’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, that Villa will face interest from ‘many clubs’ desperate to sign his client this summer.
He said: “I got told five minutes ago that someone from his agency had spoken about Jack.
“I’ve not risen to any speculation at all this season. He signed a new contract, having seen the vision for the club from the owners, at the start of the season.”

One man definitely missing tonight at Villa Park is Ollie Watkins, who is banned after being sent off against Manchester United for diving.
The striker has not missed a minute of Villa’s Premier League season, but clubs  cannot appeal a second yellow card, even if it leads to a red.
Smith added: “It looks like an archaic law doesn’t it? I’m sure Chris Kavanagh, who was the referee, got home and thought ‘I made a mistake’.
“If he could come forward and say ‘I’ve made a mistake, rescind the card’ then there’s some accountability for officials.”
Carlo Ancelotti wants revenge on Villa, who won the reverse fixture 2-1 just last Saturday.
The Everton boss said: “We have to play differently against them — it was one of the worst performances of the season.
“That is not going to happen again. The team has strong motivation for Europe.”

Marcus Rashford more concerned about ending Man Utd’s trophy drought rather than breaking Wayne Rooney’s scoring record

MARCUS RASHFORD’S No 1 target is bringing silverware back to Manchester United — not breaking Wayne Rooney’s goals records. The England forward admits United’s four-year trophy drought has been frustrating, with the Red Devils painfully losing a string of semi-finals.

Old Trafford’s all-time leading goalscorer Rooney picked up 11 major trophies during his time at the club — including FIVE Premier League titles and Champions League glory.
Rooney believes Rashford can one day go on to beat the 253 goals he managed during his 13 years as a United player.
But the 23-year-old is more interested in trying to rack up a similar trophy haul to the former England captain.
His next chance is looming when United face Villareal in the Europa League final in Poland on May 26.
United lost to Chelsea in the 2018 FA Cup final, while also suffering three domestic cup semi-final losses and were KO’d in last season’s Europa League last four.
Ahead of hosting Leicester tonight, Rashford said: “It’s about silverware. Nobody has been as happy as we were since we won the Europa League in 2017. We’ve got to semi-finals and finals and keep getting beaten.
“It’s frustrating. Your personal things get put to one side as you want to achieve the team things so bad.
“So I just think about scoring and assists for the team.”

Rashford has 87 goals so far for United and Rooney is convinced it can be done.
Chatting on BT Sport’s Rio Ferdinand: Between the Lines, Derby boss Roo said: “I hope he does, I’ve said the same with Harry Kane and England — records are there to be broken.
“So just keep learning, working hard, he will have bad days in training and on the pitch but get over it as they happen.
“All the stuff he’s doing off the pitch is a credit to him and his family. A lot of people appreciate what he’s been doing.”
Rooney also revealed he used the story of how Rashford burst into the United first team to inspire his Rams team in their fight for survival.

It was Louis van Gaal who threw the little-known 17-year-old into the first team in 2016 — and he never looked back.
Rooney, 35, said: “Marcus’ story, I actually used it a couple of weeks ago.
“We’ve had injuries at Derby and I put a few of the young lads on the bench who hadn’t even trained with us, so I used Marcus’ story from that.
“Marcus came in from nowhere, didn’t really train with us, just came in, and  and look where’s he’s gone on from that.
“So for players to try and follow in those footsteps, it’s up to you to take it. He’s certainly done that.”
