      “They wanted the house to feature everything they’ve ever wanted — and this was at the top of Wayne’s list.”
      The Derby County boss is converting old farm buildings into a three-storey home after buying the 40-acre plot for £4.3million in July 2018.
      All the living spaces at the house in Knutsford, Cheshire, will be fitted with bespoke furniture.

      It will also boast a cinema, gym, swimming pool, snooker room, bar, wine store and lifts — plus an underground escape route to the garage block in case of intruders.
      The source added: “Money is no object. They’ve spent a long time working on this house and have made sure it delivers every luxury.”

      He was freed in 2016 and is on licence until December.
      But last week he posted footage of him and Fury sparring in Morecambe, Lancs, with the caption: “We love a tear up.”
      His boxing coach dad, Clifton Mitchell, has previously said his son’s fatal punch was a “freak accident” – adding: “He is not a hooligan, he was just a kid when it happened…boxing is his only trade.

      Pepe, 25, scored his tenth goal of the season on Thursday night to set the Gunners on their way to a 4-0 Europa League win at Slavia Prague.
      And Arteta said: “We all know Nico has the incredible ability to succeed and we can give him all the help he wants to achieve that.
      “But now it all depends on him because he needs to have the right mindset to consistently do what he can.
      “What he has produced in the last few games is the level of performance that I am going to ask from him all the time.
      “And if it is something below that level then he is not going to be playing.
      “The biggest thing for Nico is understanding what he needed to do when he was not in the team and then producing that when he did play.
      “He needed a period of adaptation after coming from the French league but that is over. We can’t talk about adaptation any more. Now it is all about performance.

      “Nico has the players to support him, a manager that trusts him, all the staff that are willing to help him and team-mates who really like him. So now there are no excuses.”
      Pepe looks more effective since being switched to the left wing in recent weeks and is likely to get another chance to shine against Fulham tomorrow. 
      Arsenal will be without key players like David Luiz, Kieran Tierney and Martin Odegaard.
      Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be absent again as he recuperates from malaria.
      Arteta said: “Auba had rough days but  is at home  and wants to come back very quickly.”

      Russell, 23, who pockets around £700,000 a year, drives for Williams while on loan from Mercedes.
      But McLaren ace Norris, 21, does not want to leave his  home, just a stone’s throw from the team’s factory, as he would miss all his mates.
      Ahead of Sunday’s Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola, he said: “I am happy in Surrey and enjoying my cold English weather and playing golf.
      “It is just about having fun, I guess, being with mates and seeing family when I want and it is all easy and I enjoy that.
      “I just want to live my life normally. If I moved to Monaco, I would not enjoy it. I don’t want to do my job in F1 and not enjoy the things around it.” 
      Norris recently took time to visit McLaren staff — but says it was to boost morale, not win them over in place of team-mate Daniel Ricciardo.
      And, as he is local,  he has made himself available to help with the development of next year’s car — which will see big rule changes.
      Norris added: “If they need  help with the simulator or need to ask me some questions, it is just easier to go and do that.
      “It is an advantage helping in these areas with the new car.

      And he heads to Wembley today looking to make it even more memorable.
      Wright-Phillips was once in his shoes — a teenage prodigy for Manchester City, loved by the fans after working his way up from the youth team.
      And he can only see a glittering career ahead for his old club’s current pride and joy.
      Foden has made a pretty decent start considering he does not turn 21 until May 28 — the day before the Champions League final in Istanbul, by the way.
      He has already won the Premier League twice and FA Cup once, as well as lifting the Carabao Cup three times and the Community Shield on two occasions.
      The way things are going, he will swell his impressive medal collection quite considerably over the next six weeks or so.
      And he can take a big step towards another FA Cup success by helping City overcome another of SWP’s old clubs Chelsea in tonight’s semi-final.
      He still has a long way to go to match the haul of certain English legends, though.

      Liverpool defender Phil Neal won the European Cup four times along with eight Division One titles in his hugely-successful career at Anfield.
      More recently, United’s Paul Scholes collected a whopping 11 Premier League medals to go with two Champions League gongs and a host of cups.
      But Wright-Phillips told SunSport: “I really believe Phil Foden could go on and become the most decorated player in English football history.
      “He’s got a good number of medals already and you can only see him winning a lot more the way things are at City.
      “Everything is set up for the club, the manager and him in the years ahead.”
      Stockport-born Foden grew up watching City and had days as a ballboy and mascot at the Etihad when he was a lad.
      And SWP, who enjoyed a special rapport with the fans in his day, believes his love of the club shows when he plays. There were emotional scenes as Foden scored against Borussia Dortmund in midweek to finally break Pep Guardiola’s Champions League hoodoo with City and book a semi-final spot.
      Wright-Phillips said: “When he celebrates a goal you can see how much it means to him to be scoring for the club he’s always supported.

      “He wears his heart on his sleeve and his passion for City really comes through.
      “And I’m delighted for City’s fans too that they’ve got a player like him who loves the club because he has come through the ranks.
      “A lot of people thought he should have gone on loan to get some first-team experience but he’s stuck at it — and now the rewards are coming.
      “He’s been around the club and the squad for a long time now, even though he does not turn 21 until next month.
      “Playing alongside the likes of David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne has obviously benefited him too. You can see it has enhanced his game.”
      At just 5ft 6in, Foden is a good inch taller than SWP — but the 39-year-old is delighted to see him strike a blow for the little guys.
      Wright-Phillips added: “He shows it’s not all about being big and strong. All-round players like him don’t need to be, which is something I can relate to!
      “He has everything that the top midfielders need. He’s got pace and the vision to see what is going on around him.

      “He’s got a wand of a left foot. There’s so much to his game.”
      Wright-Phillips won the Premier League and FA Cup with Chelsea and was part of the City squad which lifted the Cup a decade ago to end a 35- year wait for a major trophy.
      Yet so much has happened in the last ten years and Foden is part of a very different club to the one SWP left — one which is geared up to win silverware every season.
      Asked if he feels envious, Wright-Phillips said: “No. I personally just look at him and feel happy for him. And of course happy for City that they’ve got him.
      “I’ll never forget the way they were with me and I’m sure when supporters are back in the stadiums they will let Phil know how much they are enjoying him.”
      And Wright-Phillips admits he would love to see another young player with City connections doing the business in a sky-blue shirt.
      He was a team-mate of Alf-Inge Haaland, whose son Erling played against the club in the Champions League this week.
      The Norwegian, 20, is one of the hottest properties in European football and rated at a whopping £154million.
      And if money was no object, he would be the striker Wright-Phillips would go for to replace 32-year-old Sergio Aguero.

      He said: “If it was me in charge and I could have anyone, then I’d love to see Erling Haaland in a City shirt.
      “I just think about all the goals he’d score if he was to join.
      “I played with his dad Alfie during his time at City.
      “I don’t remember him ever bringing his lad into training — but perhaps I’ll have a word.”

      Leicester’s Iheanacho aims to replicate hero Kanu’s Wembley heroics after being unable to afford to watch 2008 Final

      KELECHI IHEANACHO was gutted when he couldn’t get a ticket for the 2008 FA Cup final and missed his hero Nwankwo Kanu’s famous cup-winning goal for Portsmouth.However, unlike hundreds of thousands of unlucky fans, Iheanacho wasn’t looking for a Wembley brief.

      The youngster, who was only 11 at the time, couldn’t scrape up the cash for a ticket to watch the action on a TV set at his local youth centre in Owerri, Nigeria, where he and Kanu both grew up as kids.
      Now, the Leicester City striker intends to follow in Kanu’s legendary size-15 footsteps at Wembley tomorrow, by booking his ticket for this year’s FA Cup final at Southampton’s expense.
      Iheanacho says he was inspired by his famous predecessor and was heartbroken at missing his finest hour for Pompey.
      He said: “Kanu was a huge inspiration for me because he came from the same city as me.
      “He used to come back to Nigeria and train with us in our academy when he was playing for Portsmouth. 
      “Our coach told us a lot about him and then he started to come and train with us. It was so good. 
      “I looked up to him and he always spoke to me and encouraged me.
      “I used to enjoy watching the FA Cup final when I was a kid but I missed the famous one where he scored the winning goal for Portsmouth.

      “He was known as King Kanu and they gave him a crown at the end, the lid of the trophy or something like that.
      “I couldn’t get to watch it myself because it was only being shown at the local youth centre and you had to pay to go in.
      “But I only heard about one of Kanu’s most famous games from those people who had tickets and were able to go in. 
      “I never thought that one day I would play in the same league Kanu played in. I was lucky, now I have a chance to play in an FA Cup final too if we win, so I’m really happy to be playing at Wembley in the semi-final.” 
      As if having Jamie Vardy to worry about wasn’t bad enough, Saints defenders will also have to deal with Africa’s greatest-ever FA Cup goalscorer – a title Iheanacho assumed after his double put Manchester United to the sword in the last round.
      Iheanacho’s staggering haul of 13 goals in 18 FA Cup appearances has seen him not only overtake his hero Kanu (7 goals in 27 FA Cup apps), he has now eclipsed previous record-holder Didier Drogba (12 goals in 29 FA Cup apps) too.
      “It means a lot to me,” confessed the 24-year-old who should have many more years to set a new milestone which could last for decades. 
      “Hopefully I can get to score more and some time someone else can come and break my record.

      After years of playing the role of apprentice to striking sorcerer Jamie Vardy, Iheanacho has finally come of age for Leicester this season.
      He heads to Wembley having scored nine goals in his last six games for the Foxes. 
      Meanwhile his goals per minute ratio of a goal every 92 minutes is by far the best in the Premier League, now he has overtaken Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin (105 minutes).
      Iheancho’s deadly finishing puts superstars such as Harry Kane (134 minutes), Mo Salah (110 minutes) and even Jamie Vardy (177 minutes) in the shade.
      It’s hard to believe it’s not so long ago he went through an agonising year between September 22, 2018 and September 28, 2019 without scoring a single goal.
      His faith helped him through the longest goal drought of his career – likewise his belief that his mother, Mercy, who died following a short illness in 2013, still watches over him.

      Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel reveals he ensured tactics were on the menu when he ate with Man City boss Pep Guardiola

      THOMAS TUCHEL will never forget the day his dinner date with Pep Guardiola turned Messi.But today he plans to turn the tables on his managerial mentor.

      In December 2014, Tuchel was invited to a Munich restaurant by the man who was the king of German football at the time.
      Tuchel was between jobs after walking out of Mainz and jumped at the opportunity to pick the brains of then Bayern boss Guardiola.
      As the duo prepare for a Wembley reunion this afternoon, Tuchel asked: “When you are out for dinner with Pep, why not talk about football? What else was there for me to talk about?
      “For me, he was a huge influence. I didn’t know him when he was at Barcelona — but I watched almost every game and was very impressed by the way he made success happen.
      “Then I became the coach at Mainz and had the opportunity to play against him when he was in charge at Bayern. And that was not always such a pleasure. But every game against him at that time was a big lesson for me, so when we had dinner together in Munich obviously we talked about tactics.
      “We had some drawings that we used on the table to go through all the positions and we were moving the salt and pepper pots around to explain the formations he was using.
      “We were discussing how he changed Barcelona when he bought Fabregas and how to play Messi as a false nine and sometimes with a single six or a double six. Just two coaches talking about normal stuff.”
      Tuchel is acutely aware he has never beaten a Guardiola team in five previous meetings while at Mainz and Borussia Dortmund.
      But if all goes according to plan, he could be pitting his wits against the all-conquering Spaniard three times in the next six weeks, in the FA Cup, the Premier League and the Champions League final.

      Tuchel said: “Bayern Munich with Hansi Flick and Manchester City with Pep are the benchmark in European football.
      “At the moment we have to accept that there is a gap between Chelsea and Manchester City.
      “But from day one of next season, we will hunt them to close the gap between us.”
      This afternoon’s semi-final will provide a fascinating insight into just how much of a job Tuchel still has on his hands.
      The German, 47, gave his players an extra night in Seville to recover from Tuesday’s Champions League quarter-final win over Porto, which sets up a mouth-watering clash with Real Madrid.
      He revealed: “We had a very nice hotel in a very nice setting.
      “We had the chance to sit outside because the weather was very warm and it was a very calming atmosphere for everybody to enjoy each other’s company.
      “We created a bubble there which we cannot do here because for months the players could never go to a restaurant together.
      “So we took advantage of this situation to let the players bond, to enjoy a glass of wine or a sip of beer — and to have some talks outside of tactics and line-ups.
      These are all the little steps that we do to help the players to switch off sometimes — because in a schedule like this you need to be switched on a lot.

      “In the next six weeks we play a semi-final of the Cup, a semi-final of the Champions League and seven league games which must all be played like a cup tie if we are going to finish in the top four.
      “So it’s very important that, besides all this seriousness, the players must feel relaxed and have a good atmosphere together.
      “We should be happy to be here and to have the privilege to be working at this level, it feels like being part of a family.”

      And despite the constant clicking of cameras to capture the momentous day, she was delighted when the players started giving her grief.
      Welch, 37, said: “The players didn’t treat me any differently – they were still chewing my ear off as they went past.
      “That was nice because I was a bit afraid of them not being like that.
      “You want players to go, ‘You got that one wrong, ref,’ or ‘It’s gone so well in the last 10 minutes’.
      “You need that and when I got it I felt normal and that I could just referee the game.
      “I was sick of hearing the camera clicking, but it’s the nature of the beast.
      “People say it went really well but, for me, it was just a normal game.”
      A whirlwind week has left the Washington, County Durham-born whistler’s mum asking why she isn’t on the telly anymore.

      Speaking in a Q&A in aid of North East mental health charity If U Care Share, Welch added: “In 50 years I’ll be in the history books – it’s really nice but, yeah, it’s a game of football.

      “The next step is definitely the Football League (permanently).”
