      Married Everton footballer arrested on suspicion of child sex offences has bail extended for FOURTH time

      A MARRIED Everton footballer arrested for alleged child sex offences has had his bail extended for a fourth time. The Premier League player, who cannot legally be named, is now bailed until April 17.

      The player has had his bail extended for the fourth time
      He was arrested in July last year after cops raided his £2.5million family home and seized several items.
      He remains suspended by Everton while police continue to investigate.
      The alleged offences have been described as “very serious”, with the probe led by Greater Manchester Police’s Major Incident Team.
      This week we revealed the accused footballer’s wife is standing by him at their home in London.
      England star Fabian Delph, 31, was wrongly named last year as the player in question after tens of thousands of social media users shared false messages.

      Arsenal fans can camouflage themselves on the Tube in new shirt inspired by seats

      ARSENAL fans can now camouflage themselves on the train — in a new shirt inspired by seats.It features the bold pattern seen on the London Underground line that runs past the stadium.

      The new tops will be worn during warm-ups by their players, including Emile Smith Rowe.
      It follows a collaboration between the club, Transport for London and Adidas.
      Arsenal is the only footie team to have a Tube station named after it. Then-manager Herbert Chapman lobbied to change it from Gillespie Road on the Piccadilly Line in 1932.
      Warren Macdonald, area manager of Arsenal station, said: “Arsenal station has had a deep relationship with the football club for almost 90 years and there is nothing quite like the atmosphere and excitement on a match day.
      “I look forward to seeing fans passing through the station wearing this eye-catching new pre-match range on their way to and from the stadium.”
       Artist and Arsenal fan Reuben Dangoor was also commissioned to design an Oyster card depicting the station with its old and current names.

      A STRING of goalscorers’ names in a football match report was likened to the sound of toffs romping in bed.Chelsea Women beat their West Ham United counterparts 4-2 with a hat-trick for Pernille Harder and a goal for Erin Cuthbert.

      The order of the scorers left fans in hysterics after the report on the BBC website was likened to the sound of posh lovers having sex

      One social media user joked: “It sounds like posh people having sex.”
      Fan Lee Anscombe compared the run of surnames to an upper-class woman “asking her servant for a good time”. 
      Another added: “Laugh out loud funny.”
      Chelsea banged them in at West Ham during their victory in the quarter-final of the FA Women’s League Cup on Wednesday.
      The Blues scored first in the London derby through Danish star Harder, 29, before Katerina Svitkova equalised. 
      Harder got her hat-trick in the second-half, with a goal from Scot Cuthbert, 23, in between. 
      Halle Houssein’s consolation could not spoil what was called a “never to be repeated scoreline”.

      Man City star Oleks Zinchenko wanted in Real Betis transfer but full-back ready to stay and fight for new deal

      REAL BETIS are back on the trail of Manchester City utility man Oleks Zinchenko.But the Ukraine international is determined to stay with the champions and earn a new deal at the Etihad.

      Zinchenko has become increasingly important to Pep Guardiola since full-back Benjamin Mendy was suspended by City in August.
      However he has started just nine matches in all competitions this season with Joao Cancelo shining in the role.
      And that has alerted several other clubs across Europe.
      That includes Betis, who have previously made an enquiry for the versatile Zinchenko.
      City have already let Ferran Torres leave this month in a £55million switch to Barcelona.

      Lewis Hamilton’s threat to quit F1 is NOT stunt with Mercedes star ‘disillusioned’ following controversial end to season

      LEWIS HAMILTON’s threat to quit F1 should NOT be dismissed as a stunt, according to McLaren CEO Zak Brown.Hamilton is “disillusioned” after the controversial end to the Abu Dhabi GP last month with Merc boss Toto Wolff unsure if the Brit will ever return to the sport.

      Hamilton was livid after FIA Race Director Michael Masi failed to apply the rules regarding the safety car, which resulted in Max Verstappen winning the race and the title.
      Hamilton has since gone to ground and not spoken about the incident and Brown says he wouldn’t be shocked to see him quit F1 altogether.
      He said: “I wouldn’t be shocked if Lewis stopped, so I don’t think anyone should take for granted that he’s coming back.
      “It is just my personal opinion he’s going to [come back] but I don’t think we should discount or not recognise his frustration, his anger.
      “Maybe he hasn’t made a decision yet. Maybe he is taking time to make that decision because once it’s made, it is made.
      “So I don’t think we should rule it out or make light of it [him quitting].”

      It is understood that Hamilton is awaiting the outcome of the FIA’s report into the events surrounding Masi’s controversial decisions in Abu Dhabi.
      The FIA have given themselves a deadline of just TWO days before the season-opener in Bahrain on March 20th to publish their report.
      And while Brown says he wouldn’t be surprised to see Hamilton walk away, he personally thinks he will return to fight for another title.
      He added: “I think he still has a burning desire to race and that will ultimately drive his decision.
      “Sure, he’s very angry but I think racecar drivers want to race. And I think he’s a fighter.
      “I think he’ll want to come back and try and win an eighth championship. I don’t think he’s ready to retire because once you hang it up, you hang it up.
      “I don’t think he’s ready to hang it up. And I don’t think he’s going to let an incident put him into retirement.”
      The focus is on the FIA’s handling of their investigation and what they do with Masi, who faces claims his position is now untenable.

      But Brown is confident incoming FIA President, Mohammed ben Sulayem, will make the right changes and also says a professional body of race stewards is now required.
      He said: “I have a lot of confidence in Mohammed. I have spent a good amount of time with him and I believe he will be a change agent where things need to be changed and improved upon.
      “He also consults. He’s already done the rounds with the teams talking to us about what we think, so I think he’s going to be a very good President.
      “We can be focused on Abu Dhabi but if we look at the last couple of years of the variety of incidents. Abu Dhabi was just one of them.
      “Let’s not forget that the teams had a big say in how the sport is policed and the rules and now I think we find ourselves in a situation where on track activities are over regulated.
      “I remember Niki Lauda once saying, ‘just let the drivers sort it out. That’s what we used to do’.
      “I think there needs to be somewhere in between with more leniency on letting them race.
      “To have people bending the ear of the referee, and lots of them live, makes it pretty difficult to make decisions when you’ve got a lot of noise.

      “It’s probably good for TV that the mic was open, but we saw it created some habits and some decisions that maybe weren’t the right decisions.
      “Going forward, having more full-time stewards definitely seems to be the right way to go.”

      THE wife of an Everton footballer arrested on suspicion of child sex offences is standing by her man, The Sun can reveal.The player, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had his bail extended on Friday.

      Cops raided his £2.5million mansion in Greater Manchester last July and “seized several items”.
      After his arrest, his wife returned to her home town — but she is now back living with the foreign star again in London with their child.
      A source said: “They’re a strong family unit.”

      Wayne Rooney’s Derby would be 11th in Championship without massive 21-point deduction from EFL

      TOM LAWRENCE admitted Derby’s odds-defying win was ‘emotional’ after another bad week for the club.But he has no idea whether the Rams squad will be able to stay together this month.

      Lawrence grabbed two spectacular goals in nine minutes to stretch the crisis club’s unbeaten run to five games and lift them off the bottom  — despite battling a 21-point deduction.
      Without that penalty, Derby would be 11th in the Championship.
      But skipper Lawrence could be a transfer target with Derby — who are still under administration — needing to raise funds, with the situation now out of boss Wayne Rooney’s control and the prospect of the Rams being kicked out of the league mid-season.
      Phil Jagielka and Graeme Shinnie reluctantly moved on in the build-up  when it was revealed a new owner would not be coming in — and the EFL wanted proof of funds until the end of the season.
      But Derby still managed to produce a display which means their unlikely Championship survival bid is still on.
      Lawrence, 28, said: “It’s been tough.  You feel very different things. You feel emotional because there are big players in this group  but I think we showed how professional we are.

      Rooney knows who the administrators’  preferred buyer was going to be. But compensation claims from Middlesbrough and Wycombe regarding financial irregularities and points deductions respectively  mean new owners are not prepared to move in.
      Rooney, who is one of the favourites for the vacant Everton job following Rafa Benitez’s sacking, said: “That could go on and on — which I suppose is why the EFL are not getting involved in it.”

      “I actually told him to turn down a club last week because I was led to believe we could sign him.
