He and his model missus, Annie Kilner, had hoped to avoid the bedlam by flying to Portugal’s Algarve on board a luxury liner.
But instead of a private jet they had to settle for Jet2.
The pair were clocked arriving at Manchester Airport looking relaxed as they checked-in for the flight to Faro ahead of a mini break in the sun.
The footie ace is due to return for the start of Manchester City’s pre-season training next Monday.

It comes as a report found more than 400,000 youngsters — two in every UK classroom — do not own a single book.
Marcus, who has also campaigned against child hunger, said: “I didn’t read properly until I was 17 and I don’t want that for others like me.
“Struggling to put food on the table, there was very little money left for things like books.
“It’s important that children can see a world much bigger than what they see on their doorstep, and that can be achieved through books.”

Each supporter had to occupy the same area they would take if they were sitting, with a traceable, numbered ticket.
Seats could not be locked in the up or down position, so fans could choose to sit if they wished to, and the standing areas could not affect the views of other fans.
Other parts of the grounds remained all-seated and fans were expected to sit in these areas.
An interim report into the trial, published by the Sports Grounds Safety Authority found:

A RED robe worn by Muhammad Ali is set to sell for £800,000.The boxing great walked into the ring in the gown for his “fight of the century” with Joe Frazier in 1971.

The velvet garment had his name on the back.
The bout at Madison Square Garden, New York, was so hyped even Frank Sinatra could not get tickets.
It was watched on TV by 300million people globally.
Frazier won by a unanimous decision after 15 gruelling rounds.
