      The flat cap-loving footie boss, 53, was in Altrincham, Gtr Manchester, a week after his side had a close shave in a 2-2 draw in Barcelona.
      They face the Spanish giants again tonight in the second leg of their Europa League knockout.

      Ten Hag is currently steering the Red Devils to trophy chances on four fronts.

      FOOTBALL clubs refusing to give fans the final say over their team’s kit and badges will be refused a licence to operate under plans unveiled by Rishi Sunak.The PM today launches his blueprint to clean up the beautiful game and block dodgy owners — three weeks after it was leaked to The Sun.

      Sides will also be banned from joining a European “super league” through the creation of a legal club-funded regulator.
      Southampton fan Mr Sunak has accepted the recommendations in Tory MP Tracey Crouch’s fan-led review.
      Writing together in The Sun, they rail against unscrupulous owners prepared to “recklessly gamble away the future of their clubs in the hope of big money payouts”.
      The regulator will have “powers of last resort” to raid Premier League cash to hand to struggling lower league teams if footballing chiefs cannot reach a deal themselves.

      A staggering 64 clubs have gone bust since it launched in 1992, with Bury the latest to plunge into administration.
      But economist Len Shackleton, author of the report Red Card, warned regulation would impose “disincentives to investment and innovation”.
      He said: “Governments over the years have ruined many successful domestic industries.
      “Interference in football could well have the same doleful effect.”

      Last month Gordon, who signed from Everton for £45million, got a six-month driving ban that he knew nothing about.
      It is thought the correspondence had been sent to an old address.
      He was accused of twice failing to disclose the details of the driver of his car and offences linked to parking and speeding raps.
      Newcastle United FC confirmed the ban had been overturned and said it was clear that Gordon had done nothing wrong.

      The footballer has made three appearances for Newcastle so far since his move from Everton.

      She also shared a snap of her smiling in a green dress at dinner, with a glass of wine in hand and roses on the restaurant table at their £2,500-a-night hotel.
      She captioned it: “Nothing feels better than this.”
      Former Spurs and England striker Defoe, 40, was not seen in any of Alisha’s pictures from the Middle East.

      She also said a girl had been “boasting” of an affair with Defoe “since at least August”.

      Another source said: “There is a level of sympathy for someone who is innocent in the eyes of the law and a long-standing teammate.

      A BAN on footie fans taking an inflatable fish to an FA Cup showdown has been lifted in a victory for The Sun. Grimsby Town’s Harry Haddocks was given the hook by Premier League Southampton FC – leaving fans trawling for another mascot.

      After The Sun revealed the news there was a U-turn yesterday following a backlash against the decision and support for Grimsby who wanted to take the mascot for the fifth round clash on March 1. 
      But the two sides had “worked together to find a solution” for the mascots at the match, a club spokesperson said.
      Mariners chief executive Debbie Cook said she could not wait to see lots of fans “proudly waving” the fishes.
      She said: “Ever since the 1989 FA Cup, he’s been present at every big game in the club’s history.”

      It would have been a real shame for him not to be there.
      “Fans had earlier been warned that any inflatables taken into Southampton’s ground for the FA Cup fixture would be confiscated.”
      A similar ban on the inflatable fish mascots was imposed on Mariners fans in 2017 when the side travelled to Barnet on the final day of the season. More
