      FA confirm they will NOT take action after Jordan Henderson’s bust-up with Gabriel during Arsenal’s win over Liverpool

      THE FA has confirmed no action will taken after Jordan Henderson and Gabriel Magalhaes’ on-field bust-up this month.The pair were involved in a heated confrontation during Arsenal’s 3-2 win against Liverpool at the Emirates.

      The spat began when Arsenal were handed a controversial penalty in the 76th minute – which proved to be the winner.
      But following the fight, ref Michael Oliver stopped play to inform Jurgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta that an allegation had been made.
      He then lodged an urgent report after the match, prompting the FA to start an official investigation.
      Henderson and Gabriel both provided statements as beaks looked to get to the bottom of the battle.

      And it’s even reckoned a lip reader was hired to see what was said via video replay.
      But after a lengthy process, the FA has today said it will not be taking action of any kind.
      A statement read: “Following an investigation into an allegation received by The FA in the Premier League fixture between Arsenal FC and Liverpool FC on Sunday 9 October 2022, The FA can confirm that it will not be taking any disciplinary action.”The FA received a complaint about an incident involving two players in this fixture. As a result of the complaint, The FA conducted a full and thorough investigation.

      “The investigation included taking witness statements from the complainant and accused, along with an additional six players who were within proximity of the alleged incident, reviewing multiple angles of video footage, and seeking independent linguistics experts evidence.
      “None of the witnesses heard the alleged comment, and the player accused strenuously denied the allegation throughout.
      “Whilst The FA is entirely satisfied that the allegation was made in good faith, it is equally satisfied that there is no case to answer.
      “The FA continues to take all allegations received extremely seriously and would encourage anyone who believes that they have been the subject of or witness to abuse to report this through the appropriate channels.
      “The FA receives a number of complaints in any one season and thoroughly investigates each one that it receives.
      “Following consideration of all of the evidence received, not all cases will result in a charge being issued.”
      Speaking after the incident, Arsenal boss Arteta gave his total backing to Gabriel.
      The Spaniard said: “Yes, 100 per cent. The FA is in charge of that situation and we will have to wait and see what happens.

      England, led by skipper Harry Kane, play their opener at the Khalifa International Stadium in the capital Doha against Iran on November 21.

      Ronaldo appeared to slap young Jacob Harding’s hand in footage that was posted to social media.
      Ronaldo apologised to the 14-year-old but was interviewed by police under caution in relation to an alleged assault and criminal damage last month.
      He was then charged by the FA last week, and has now been given a deadline to respond to the charge.
      United though have been left “baffled”, according to MEN, as the incident was nearly six months ago and cops have concluded their investigation.

      Merseyside Police have already confirmed it has been dealt with by “matter of conditional caution”.
      But Ronaldo has been charged for breaching FA Rule R3, part of which states players should not use “any one, or a combination of, violent conduct, serious foul play, threatening, abusive, indecent or insulting words or behaviour”.
      An FA statement last week said: “Cristiano Ronaldo has been charged with a breach of FA Rule E3 for an incident that took place after Manchester United FC’s Premier League match against Everton on Saturday 9 April 2022.
      “It is alleged that the forward’s conduct after the final whistle was improper and/or violent.”

      Fuming FA forced to release statement slamming leak of England’s World Cup kit

      FOOTBALL bosses were left angry after images of England’s World Cup kit were leaked.The home and away kits were due to be unveiled by Nike on Thursday but due to the death of The Queen, the Football Association asked for them to be released next Wednesday.

      An FA Spokesman: “We are disappointed that images of the new England World Cup kits have been published online before the official launch date.
      “With the passing of Her Majesty The Queen, Nike has delayed the UK launch of the new kits until Wednesday 21 September. We will not publish further details about these kits until then.”

      Nike send images of kits to some retailers weeks before launch days.
      But the manufacturer forgot to tell Pro Direct about the delayed release and the images briefly ended up on the internet before being taken down.

      Other World Cup kits from various nations were released on Thursday, but none have caused a stir like the Three Lions’ strip.
      The new home kit has annoyed some due to it featuring blue on a white shirt – contrary to England’s traditional red and white look.
      Some supporters even compared it to a Sports Direct knock-off.
      The same colours also feature on the shorts and socks of the full kit, but fans were far from pleased with them.

      In his post-match interviews, Tuchel was asked if Taylor should not take charge of Chelsea matches again and said: “Maybe it would be better.”
      Chelsea fans voiced their indignation and asked about those opinions, he added: “I don’t think that just some of the fans think that.

      The FA launched a formal investigation last Monday and Wembley chiefs have now confirmed: “Thomas Tuchel has been charged with a breach of FA Rule E3 in relation to comments that he made after Chelsea FC’s Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur FC on Sunday 14 August 2022.
      “It is alleged that the manager’s comments in his post-match press conference constitute improper conduct as contrary to FA Rule E3.1 they imply bias and/or question the integrity of the match referee, and/or bring the game into disrepute.
      “Thomas Tuchel has until Thursday 25 August 2022 to provide a response to this charge.”

      Premier League pledges to invest £3million in the Women’s National League in boost for sport below top two tiers

      THE PREMIER LEAGUE will pour £1million per season into plans to boost the third and fourth tiers of the women’s game over the next three years.The financial backing was revealed by the FA as part of a strategy to ramp up infrastructure and player development in the divisions.
