It was later revealed that a notorious prankster had hidden a mobile phone on the TV set at Molineux for Liverpool’s FA Cup win at Wolves.
Daniel Jarvis, who is a serial pitch invader, then activated the sexy sounds ring-tone simply by ringing the mobile as he watched the live pictures on BBC1.
That led to the BBC being forced into releasing a statement issuing a grovelling apology.
A spokesperson said: “We apologise to any viewers offended during the live coverage of the football this evening. We are investigating how this happened.”

The honking noises started just moments before the FA Cup third round replay was about to get underway.
It was first played as Lineker went live to co-commentator Shearer who was waiting to speak to him in the stadium.
Lineker started laughing and said: “I don’t know who’s making that noise.
“I don’t know if somebody is sending a joke on someone’s phone, I don’t know if you heard it at home.”

Lineker took to Twitter to reveal exactly what had happened by uploading a photo of a phone taped to the back of the set.
The caption said: “Well, we found this taped to the back of the set. As sabotage goes it was quite amusing.”
Serial pitch invader Jarvis claimed responsibility for the incident.
The YouTuber, whose account name is Jarvo69, hosted a live stream as he hijacked the BBC’s coverage.
He proudly announced at the beginning of the video: “Here we are, we have set up a phone with a loud sex noise in the BBC studios at the Wolves v Liverpool FA Cup replay.”

Former Malcolm in the Middle star Frankie Muniz to race full time in NASCAR’s ARCA Menards Series

FRANKIE Muniz is finally getting to live his dream. The child star was a staple on screens throughout the early 2000s, starring as the lead in the TV series Malcolm in the Middle and the Agent Cody Banks movies among other roles.

Now 37 years old, Muniz’s career is set to take a swift detour after he announced that he will be competing in NASCAR’s ARCA Menards Series championship this year.
He will be driving the No. 30 Ford Mustang for Rette Jones Racing, and in doing so, completing a lifelong dream.
In a statement, Muniz said: “It’s with the utmost excitement, optimism and gratitude that I’m joining Rette Jones Racing for the full ARCA Menards Series schedule this year.
“Ever since childhood, it’s been my dream to pursue racing in NASCAR, and it was important for me to partner with a team that aligned with my long-term objectives and vision, while providing every opportunity imaginable to grow mentally and physically as a full-time race car driver.
“I look forward to not only demonstrating my ability on the track and just how serious how I am in progressing in my racing career, but also showing my son and family what it is to chase your dreams and re-invent yourself.”
Muniz also added in a tweet: “Finally making my dream a reality, this one is for my son and showing him that you can always chase your dreams.”
This marks the culmination of an almost two-decade-long journey in racing, which started back in 2006 after Malcolm in the Middle came to an end.
According to NASCAR, he kicked off his new career in open-wheel single-seater racing, before competing in the Formula BMW USA Championships.

Then from 2007-09, Muniz called the Champ Car Atlantic Championship home.
Unfortunately, his racing career took a nasty turn for the worst when an accident at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course left him with a broken back and a left thumb that had essentially been “ripped off.”
This reportedly caused him to lose his potential IndyCar contract for 2010.
But this speedhump clearly didn’t stop him in the long run.
Rette Jones Racing’s Mark Rette said that they were “very excited to welcome Frankie Muniz to the Rette Jones Racing family for the full 2023 ARCA Menards Series schedule.
“Over the years, we’ve prided ourselves on working with new drivers who have quickly adapted to the diversity of the ARCA Menards Series and, without a doubt, we believe Frankie can do the same.
“It is not going to be easy, and there will be a learning curve. But with his passion, focus and commitment along with the capabilities of our team, we believe we are going to put him in a position to contend for multiple wins in 2023.”

Fellow team owner Terry Jones added: “Without a doubt, we believe in Frankie’s ability and commitment, and with Mark’s leadership, we believe that he will quickly adapt on track and contend for a championship in his rookie season.”
Muniz will take to the wheel of the No. 30 Ford Mustang for the first time on February 18 at the Daytona International Speedway.

Former Top Gear presenter James May led the tributes to the beloved racer, tweeting: “RIP Ken Block, with thanks for some hilarious days out.”
Block made two appearances on Top Gear, performing a number of daring stunts, including the legendary airfield drifting scene.
His team, Hoonigan Racing Division, said in a statement: “Ken was a visionary, a pioneer and an icon. And most importantly, a father and husband.”
In 2016, he sparked controversy after he appeared in an episode of the rebooted series of Top Gear, driving around London with host and former Friends star Matt LeBlanc.

It was later revealed that the pair performed doughnuts, burnouts, and wheelspins on the streets of the capital, leaving blackened tyre streaks along Whitehall close to the Cenotaph memorial.
In the face of the row, the BBC later apologised and the Cenotaph footage was never aired.
Speaking to The Sun just after his controversial Cenotaph stunt, Block spoke about getting old.
“I’m getting old – handling the fear is getting more and more difficult,” he said.

“In the past year I’ve done two of the most dangerous things I’ve done, which is sliding at the edge of a cliff at Pike’s Peak for Climbkhana and sliding the car with part of the wheel off the edge of a dock for Gymkhana 9.
“It takes a lot of nerve to do this stuff, especially when you’re dealing with a big car and placing it within inches, it can be quite difficult sometimes.”
He added: “It’s part of what makes this such a big thrill for me. I started it because it really was a dream come true.”

Block was killed in a horror accident on his ranch in northern Utah.
Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office said he was riding on a steep slope when the snowmobile flipped over and landed on top of him.
The action sports star was at his ranch sharing pictures of the snow-covered state on Instagram early Monday morning.

He had been performing stunts on a snowmobile last week in Idaho – and even then admitted its power had taken him by surprise.
“Lots of power up at high elevations, and wheelies all day! Epic early season powder, and an amazing first day. Wheelies, deep pow turns, and a lot of learning on this new sled – good times,” he wrote.
And he had been snowmobiling in Utah as he kept fans up to date on Instagram.
On Monday, hours before his death, he wrote: “It’s been DUMPING snow in Park City, Utah this week with more forecasted for the weekend, and we wouldn’t be able to make it out to the ranch without the @SkiDoo sleds and @KubotaUSA machinery to clear the way!
“Can’t wait to see how much more powder stacks up over the next few days.”
Starting his rally driving career in 2005, Block raced in series such as Rally America and Global Rallycross.
He was later introduced to a new generation of fans with his YouTube video series “Gymkhana”.
The ten-part series, which featured the California-born stunt driver performing a series of daring feats, earned him almost two million subscribers on the video platform.
He also co-founded the skate-wear clothing brand DC Shoes.
Tributes for Block have poured in from around the world of motorsports.
World motorsport chief Mohammed Ben Sulayem, president of the FiA, wrote on Twitter: “I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of my friend Ken Block.
“An inspiration for us all and a true gentleman of our sport. The FIA’s thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this difficult time. RIP @kblock43.”
