Man City groundsman shows off Man Utd tattoo on leg as he inspects pitch before Fulham clash

A MANCHESTER CITY groundsman has surprisingly been spotted with a tattoo of fierce rivals Manchester United. The member of staff was seen inspecting the pitch at the Etihad Stadium before Pep Guardiola’s side faced Fulham.

And the groundsman was photographed in shorts showing off his Man Utd leg tattoo in what feels like the wrong stadium.
Of course there is nothing wrong with City employing a United fan but would he have got the role if he flexed his body art in his job interview?
His work may have also led to his own side’s downfall as City, on their slick pitch, hammered Man Utd 6-3 earlier this season.
Erling Haaland and Phil Foden both netted hat-tricks as they embarrassed their neighbours.

But maybe Man City are onto something hiring staff that support rival clubs as the blue side of Manchester’s pitch maintainers have been voted as the best in the Premier League in previous seasons.
Back in 2021 manager Guardiola praised the groundstaff team, naming them his man of the match after a 2-1 win over West Ham.
They secured a vital three points on their way to lifting the league title in snowy conditions that nearly resulted in the game being called off.
Head groundsman Lee Jackson worked overtime clearing the pitch that day and Guardiola heaped praise on them saying they did an “incredible job”.

Jackson is one of the longest serving members of staff at the club and has worked for them for over 30 years.
Man City left it late versus Fulham with Erling Haaland converting a last minute penalty to win it 2-1.
The Cottagers were left hoping the tattooed United fan left a divot on the spot but there was no luck with keeper Bernd Leno getting a touch but not doing enough to stop it going in versus ten-man City. More

Garnacho has worked with arguably the top two footballers of all time in Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi, both are his “idols” and he could learn a lot from them, which would benefit United.
The youngster has been seen getting advice from United team-mate Ronaldo, 37, who handed him his hat-trick match ball from the game against Norwich last season.
Garnacho is so impressive, that some former United players are calling for him to be handed more minutes.
Former United defender Paul Parker is keen to see more of the “tenacious” winger.
Parker told BeMyBet: “I think really you have to look at what you got within the squad, there’s a younger player, Alejandro Garnacho.
“Everyone was kind of talking about him in the pre-season.
“Garnacho [is] tenacious… a lot of Argentinians are playing with a fire in their belly and are a bit fiery, and he’s got a competitive edge.”

Speaking ahead of the fight Conor Benn revealed much about his tattoos.
He is covered in body art from head to toe and he explained the meaning behind his neck tattoo that says ‘Fear is a Lie.’
The 26-year-old was asked if he feared losing he replied: “I’ve got fear is a lie tattooed across my neck.
“Fear to me is a lie. I mean fear is an illusion. You can fear something that doesn’t even happen.

“How can you give something some power or fear something that hasn’t even happened yet. It only exists in your head and nine times out of ten it doesn’t happen anyway.
“So, me fearing losing is why I train so hard. I love winning, don’t get me wrong but I probably fear losing a bit more.
“I train out of fear I really do. I don’t think I could deal with losing. I fear it so much I get scared.
“And that’s why I train so hard, I have my reasons and if fear is what gets me out of bed in the morning at 5am, I’m gonna do that. I’ll do it twice on Sundays if needs be.

“All I can do is do everything in my power to make sure that I am not beat by me. When I get in the ring I’m not beat by Conor Benn.
“If the other man beats me, I can’t even say fair enough, I can’t beat myself.”
‘The Destroyer’ has his nickname written across his shoulders and also has his own brand’s logo ‘CB’ on his body.
The welterweight additionally has a large cross on his chest and the words Fear God across his stomach.
Furthermore the boxer has a tribute to his son Eli Clay on the side of his face. His name is tattooed near to his ear.
Speaking about the tattoo Benn exclusively told SunSport that he had to get his mother’s permission for it.

Benn revealed: “I have my son’s name tattooed down the side of my face now so he is never far away from me.
“I must admit I had to call my mum and get permission for that one because I always promised her I would never get one on my face.
“I made the call and explained it to her and she gave me permission.
“I was never going over the eyebrow, or doing a Mike Tyson, I had thought about a facial one before but don’t think I have it in me.”
Benn will be looking to do better than his father managed against a Eubank family member as his bouts ended in a loss and a draw.
However if Eubank Snr had his way the fight would not be going ahead at all as he is worried about his son’s safety after losing weight for the fight.

It remains unknown when and where Malacia got his done – but he will definitely be hoping for more success at United than Depay.
The attacker previously admitted that he was too immature to succeed in the Premier League.

Chelsea icon Ramires gets tattoo of iconic Champions League goal vs Barcelona after announcing retirement aged 35

FORMER Chelsea star Ramires has marked his retirement by getting his memorable Champions League goal against Barcelona tattooed on his leg.The 35-year-old scored 34 goals during six seasons in English football, with the most notable coming at the Nou Camp back in 2012.

With Chelsea trailing 2-1 on aggregate after Barca wiped out their first leg advantage, and down to 10 men following John Terry’s red card, Ramires took matters into his own hands in first half stoppage-time.
Having been sent through by Frank Lampard, Ramires beat both Carlos Puyol and Sergio Busquets to the ball before exquisitely chipping over Victor Valdes to bring Chelsea level in the tie and ahead on away goals.
Ultimately, the game was more remembered for Fernando Torres’ late strike, which sealed Chelsea’s place in the Champions League final.
But Ramires’ goal was still equally as important, with the Blues going on to win the competition for the first time ever after beating Bayern Munich on their own patch on penalties in the final.

Unfortunately, Ramires was booked later in the game against Barcelona, which meant he was suspended for the showpiece in the German capital.
Nevertheless, the 35-year-old, who’s set to call time on his career having been without a club since leaving Palmeiras back in 2020, has marked the semi-final occasion by getting the moment tattooed on his right leg.
Chelsea fans reacted to the tattoo on Twitter, with one calling it a ‘so beautiful’, while another described it as ‘unforgettable’.
Ramires would spend four more years at Stamford Bridge before leaving for Chinese Super League club Jiangsu Suning, although only after adding the Premier League, Europa League and League Cup to his medal collection with the Blues.
