Sidemen ratings vs YouTube All Stars: ‘Woeful’ xQc gets just 1/10 score as Joe Weller oozes class on Wembley pitch

SIDEMEN FC were beaten on penalties by iShowSpeed and the YouTube All stars in what was a match for the ages in the sunshine at Wembley. The star-studded teams saw a closely contested game which finished 9-9 as the full-time whistle sounded after 90 minutes.Joe Weller starred for the Sidemen FC teamCredit: YouTube @SidemenGoalkeeper xQc left much to be desiredCredit: YouTube @SidemenSo many incredible moments still came for the Sidemen, however, with Zerkaa scoring his first Charity Match goal, Joe Weller and Logan Paul performing an incredible WWE celebration, and a host of fantastic moments from the world’s most iconic YouTube group. This is how SunSport’s Lloyd Canfield rated the players…xQc – 1To be honest, was utterly woeful in the last Sidemen Charity Match, and pretty bad in this one too – but still better than Cal The Dragon.Saved a penalty from Mr Beast to give him some props, but that was about it.READ MORE ON FOOTBALLVikkstar123 – 5It was an understated performance from the 123 at right-back for Sidemen FC, as he proved to be a dependable and solid little right back in this one. He’s taken the headlines and glory in previous renditions of the game, but has evolved his game into a defensive role over the years it seems. Came so close to grabbing a goal too, but missed when it mattered most. KSI – 6After a STINKER of a showing in Qatar at the Match For Hope, he put in a good display which included a crucial last-ditch tackle on Niko Omilana. Most read in FootballGets bonus points for a class half-time showing of his song ‘Thick of it’ which kept the fans entertained. CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITSWroetoshaw – 6Solid at the back for his side with some vital tackles at key moments, one in particular to deny Theo Baker from being more unbearable than he already will be after his incredible performance. Hit the post with what would’ve been a fine finish in the second half.Logan Paul ‘supplexes’ Joe Weller with WWE-style celebration during Sidemen v YouTube All Stars match at WembleyWroetoshaw gave away a penalty in the first halfCredit: YouTube @SidemenKSI improved from his showing in the Match for HopeCredit: YouTube @SidemenJME – 5Had a tough day at the office against Speed as he occupied the left-back position for Sidemen FC, but managed to add a “SERIOUS” assist to his repertoire. The best left-back on the pitch and showed some quick feet when he was driving forward with the ball. The chemistry between him and Tobi was evident and only got better as the game went on.TBJZL – 7Shook off his Match For Hope injury in time for this game, and put in a brilliant performance on the right hand side for Sidemen FC, bagging a goal from just inside the box after a defensive mix-up. You can tell he’s one of the more talented YouTubers out there. with his clean passing and dribbling skills setting him apart from the rest.Behzinga – 8Behzinga was one of the impressive performers for SidemenCredit: YouTube @SidemenDidn’t have too many touches in the first half, but came out in full force in the second. Behz has been playing regular Sunday League footy for a while now, and that seems to have paid off as he was solid on the ball and off of it in this one.Bagged a goal and assist in a superb all-round Wembley display.Logan Paul – 8Logan Paul was an engine in midfieldCredit: YouTube @SidemenHis sensational celebration with Joe Weller in the first half will take most of the attention from what was an otherwise pretty good midfield showing. He was everywhere and the engine in the Sidemen midfield; closing down, making passes and doing the simple things well throughout. Even added a brilliant second-half header to his fantastic performance. Joe Weller – 9 Opened the scoring from the penalty spot with a calmly dispatched spot kick before pulling off an UNREAL WWE celebration with Logan Paul which had clearly been very well rehearsed. Joe was the Sidemen’s answer to Theo Baker on the day, with some tasty finishes and all-round good play.Zerkaa – 5Was on the hunt for his first ever Charity Match goal and came within inches of getting after a majestic headed touch and volley after about 20 minutes. It looked as though it wasn’t gonna be his day before he superbly dispatched a penalty into the left hand side of the goal sending Wembley stadium into raptures! Miniminter – 8Miniminter missed the first spotkick of the shootoutCredit: YouTube @SidemenClawed one back for his side from outside the box as well as generally being one of the better players on the pitch. Often looked for Zerkaa to try and help his mate score his first Charity Match goal, but would’ve perhaps been better off going for goal himself at times. SUBS: Mark Rober – 5It was a pretty quiet first half from Mark in this one, as he failed to really stamp any authority on the game. Much the same in the second 45, though he scored his pen in the shoot-out at least.Lazarbeam – 5Quiet, didn’t do much of note. WillNE – 6Made a crucial block in the second half which won’t get as much credit as it deserves. Struggled a bit other than that at right back, but who cares about conceding goals?George Clarke – 8Wembley Stadium’s sweetheart had captured the love of the fans before he even stepped on the pitch to rapturous applause. Attempted a rocket from distance which got the crowd going, but it flew over the crossbar in the first half. He did get a well-deserved goal at the death, which it looked like would be the winner, only for Theo Baker to crush his dreams of being the star.Gets a bonus point for being the most handsome man on the pitch.JasonTheWeen – 2His only notable highlight was an attempted volley which he probably saw flying into the top corner, which actually flew out of bounds on the near side of the pitch for a throw-in…Manny – 7His tekkers and general ability were clear as soon as he came on the field. A few really clever touches set him apart from your average player, and he clearly has the talent of someone able to play at a much better level than this. READ MORE SUN STORIESScored a lovely goal into the top right corner too. Randolph – 5Didn’t play many minutes, but was solid in those he did play.  More

YouTube All Stars player ratings vs Sidemen: Theo Baker the Wembley hat-trick hero… but Niko Omilana not a target man

YOUTUBE ALLSTARS saw through a dramatic penalty shoot-out win thanks to an incredible goalkeeping performance, a Theo Baker hat-trick and spot-kick brilliance from iShowSpeed. The star-studded sides saw a closely contested game finish 9-9 as the full-time whistle sounded after 90 minutes, which saw it all come down to dreaded penalties.Theo Baker scored a hat-trickCredit: Youtube @sidemenAngryGinge was solid in the defenseCredit: Youtube @sidemenSpeed will undoubtedly take the headlines, but man-of-the-match worthy performances from Theo Baker and Sketch contributed massively to the side in red that lifted the trophy when all was said and done. This is how SunSport’s Lloyd Canfield rated the players…Sketch – 9What’s up brother? YOUTUBE ALLSTARS beat Sidemen FC on penalties in a frantic 18-goal charity match at Wembley Stadium. The Allstars lifted the trophy for the first time since 2017 in front of a sell out 90,000 crowd and over two million people watching online.Speed scored the winner in the shootoutCredit: SidemenLogan Paul celebrated Joe Weller’s goal by bringing out a WWE moveCredit: SidemenMax Fosh shredded ex-Prem ref Mark Clattenburg’s yellow cardCredit: SidemenAngryGinge sliced a clearance right at the end, but his embarrassment was sparedCredit: SidemenThe Sidemen had Logan Paul and Joe Weller joining them – with YouTube Allstars fronted by some of the most popular internet faces in the world in iShowSpeed and Mr Beast. There was sure to be laughs with Spencer Owen and Stephen Tries providing one liners on commentary – and it took just 20 seconds for the chaos to start as the always injured Theo Baker was jokingly subbed off.The goals then began to flow as ex-Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg somehow missed a blatant handball from AngryGinge on the line as he channelled his inner Luis Suarez from the 2010 World Cup.Wembley’s big screen was used as makeshift VAR and the spot-kick was then converted by Sidemen FC’s Weller.READ MORE IN FOOTBALLBut the Allstars hit back despite Mr Beast having a penalty saved by xQc as Chris MD fired in a stunning distance free-kick to equalise.YouTube’s equivalent to Messi then turned provider as Theo Baker scored from a corner.Clattenburg missed another obvious handball in the box, this time from KSI, but the Allstars still made it 3-1 with Speed setting up Lachlan Power.Miniminter pulled one back to make it 3-2 thanks to sketchy goalkeeping from Sketch, who later lost his glasses and conceded while unsighted. Most read in FootballJOIN SUN VEGAS: GET £50 BONUSBaker and Weller both scored again at 4-3 before a bizarre goal made it 4-4 at half-time.Sidemen star Josh has never scored in these charity matches and the whole team was desperate to see him bulge the back of the net.Max Fosh tries SHREDDING yellow card after being booked by ex-Premier League ref in Sidemen vs YouTube All Stars clashAs they tried to square it to him, Danny Aarons intercepted yet accidentally smashed the ball off his own post and Tobi could eventually roll it home. The second-half was just as manic as the first with TEN more goals.Logan Paul’s physical presence was eventually too much for Sidemen FC as the YouTuber-turned WWE favourite bullied defenders in the air and headed in.Internet comedian Max Fosh then gave away a penalty and was booked by Clattenburg – only to hilariously whip out a mini shredder from his sock and destroy the yellow card.Josh stepped up and finally scored for Sidemen FC – cue mass celebrations with both managers on the pitch, 6-4.But there was to be a comeback… launched by an AngryGinge goal.Speed, who was living up to his name by kicking and running like Adama Traore, then did his icon Cristiano Ronaldo proud, scoring a penalty and doing his “Siuuu” celebration. An hour in and it was 6-6 – Premier League take notes.Big man Chunkz then made it 7-6 to the Allstars with a fortunate finish after Speed sprinted clear and missed a huge chance. He might not be a prolific finisher but his athleticism was causing havoc, setting up Kai Cenat to tap home, 8-6 Allstars.A crazy game finished 9-9 and the Allstars won it on penaltiesHowever, it was far from gave over as brothers Tobi and Manny combined to pull a goal back for Sidemen FC and Ethan kept ‘faith’ in his finishing to make it 8-8. Ismaila Sarr pays classy tribute to injured team-mate Jean-Philippe Mateta with goal celebration against Ipswich

THE EAGLES seemed more interested in a trip to ‘Marbs’ than a flight up the table as they made heavy work of breaching the Premier League’s third worst defence. With no competitive fixtures for three weeks, Oliver Glasner is taking his troops to Marbella on Monday for a warm weather training camp.Ismaila Sarr emulates Mateta’s celebration after grabbing the winnerCredit: ReutersThomas Tuchel watches on from the stands at Selhurst ParkCredit: GettyYet it looked like his in-form Palace players were already on the Spanish beaches as they struggled to get into gear against struggling Ipswich and find the Costa del Goal.Their blushes were only spared when Ismaila Sarr struck in the 82nd minute with his eighth goal in the League this season – paying tribute to injured team-mate Jean-Philippe Mateta in the process. This was meant to be the day that Eddie Nketiah stepped into the spotlight, with top scorer Mateta sidelined by the nasty facial injury he suffered against Millwall in the FA Cup.With Mateta linked by the French media with a £40million move to Manchester United in the summer, there was even more incentive for the 25-year-old to make his mark on his first Premier League start since November 2.READ MORE ON FOOTBALLManager Glasner is well aware that Nketiah has struggled since his £25million summer transfer from Arsenal, but he told his young striker not to feel any pressure, and that he had earned his chance. However, the tone was set from the second minute when Nketiah was released by a delicious pass from Adam Wharton. He delayed pulling the trigger and ended up seeing his shot blocked by goalkeeper Alex Palmer. The form book pointed to a win for Palace, who had won seven of their last nine games in all competitions and who were aiming to win four consecutive fixtures in all competitions for the first time since 2020.The omens were not great for third from bottom Ipswich, as The Eagles had not lost any of their last 18 Premier League home games against sides starting the day in the relegation zone for eight years. Most read in SportThis was a match in which Kieran McKenna’s Tractor Boys were desperate to close the gap on 17th-placed Wolves, but in the end, they couldn’t capitalise on a sluggish Palace performance and secure their first Premier League win in 2025.The Palace winner was rough luck on Palmer, who had dealt with whatever Palace could throw at him, but he was finally beaten when Sarr pounced on a loose ball and dinked it over the goalkeeper’s diving body and into the net.Palace were always going to miss Mateta, who has scored 12 times for Palace in 27 Premier League appearances this term – leading to Palace boss Oliver Glasner dubbing him the “best finisher” he’s worked with.Max Fosh tries SHREDDING yellow card after being booked by ex-Premier League ref in Sidemen vs YouTube All Stars clashMateta will at least be joining his team-mates on Monday for their visit to Spain, although he will train alone.Nketiah – on a run of two goals in his last two matches – was one of four changes to the Palace side, as Adam Wharton, Dean Henderson and Tyrick Mitchell returned.Ipswich came into the game with a stack of injuries and made three changes, with Luke Woolfenden, Kalvin Phillips and Julio Enciso all starting. It was a lively opening as after Nketiah’s miss, Ipswich broke down the left and when Leif Davis crossed it needed a good save from Dean Henderson to keep out Jaden Philogene’s effort at the far post. This was the first top-flight meeting between the sides at Selhurst Park since Palace’s 3-0 win in November 1994, and as the game settled, the hosts took control.Millwall goalkeeper Liam Roberts wipes out Jean-Philippe Mateta in the FA Cup last weekendCredit: ReutersJefferson Lerma fired just wide from 20 yards after 14 minutes, then Eberechi Eze saw a free kick well defended by the wall.Eze was denied again soon after when Jacob Greaves, who picked up an early booking for pulling back Sarr, made a vital lunge to block his shot from eight yards.Eze was guilty of trying to dribble the ball out of defence and when he lost out to Julio Enciso, Henderson again produced an important save.It was that man Eze in the thick of the action soon after the break, when his shot from the edge of the box took a deflection to loop beyond Palmer before bouncing off the post.Ipswich have scored only 26 goals in the top flight this season but they had their chances. As the hour mark came, Enciso’s tame shot from distance was followed with a goalmouth scramble that needed Sarr to hook the ball off the line.It was end to end, and Palmer made an acrobatic save to turn away another deflected Eze shot, before Daniel Munoz produced a poor finish by shooting at the goalkeeper’s legs rather than lifting the ball towards goal.READ MORE SUN STORIESBen Johnson headed over the bar for Ipswich when he might have taken more time and trouble, but it was not going to be Ipswich’s day.Just when you thought the visitors might snatch a point from their trip to South London, Sarr showed his team-mates who it should be done, keeping a calm head to finish beyond the advancing goalkeeper to give the home fans a mixture of joy and relief at finally getting over the line. The Tractor Boys are now five points from safetyCredit: Reuters More

Liverpool 3 Southampton 1: Darwin Nunez sparks Reds comeback after narrowly avoiding red card in first half disaster

DARWIN Nunez and VAR were the controversial heroes as Liverpool moved 16 points clear at the top of the table. The fiery Uruguayan striker escaped a red card by the skin of his teeth in first-half stoppage time shortly after Alisson and Virgil Van Dijk had gifted Southampton the lead.Darwin Nunez sparked Liverpool’s comeback against SouthamptonCredit: AFPHe was lucky not to be sent off in the first halfCredit: ReutersWill Smallbone gave Southampton an unlikely lead at AnfieldCredit: PAArne Slot had to watch on from the stands due to his pitchside banCredit: PAMohamed Salah netted a penalty to put Liverpool aheadCredit: GettyHe then struck again from the spot to seal the winCredit: RexJust as in Paris on Wednesday night, when Ibrahima Konate was lucky not to be sent off before the Reds stole victory, VAR gave Arne Slot’s men a mighty let-off – and then a final helping hand.Wthin nine minutes of the restart Nunez had completely turned the game.First he turned in Luis Diaz’s cross, then he tempted Saints goalscorer Will Smallbone into a rash challenge in the box.Mo Salah, Mr Reliable to Nunez’s Captain Chaos, scored from the spot.READ MORE ON FOOTBALLAnd Salah stepped up to convert another penalty when VAR Matt Donohoe told referee Lewis Smith to look at Southampton substitute Yukinai Sugawara’s handball in the box.Kop boss Arne Slot was watching from the stands again as he served the second-match of his ban for his comments to referee Michael Oliver after the Merseyside derby. After warning the experienced Oliver that he would blame him if his side failed to win the title, Slot had cause to be grateful to rookie officials.Smith was refereeing his seventh Premier League game and Donohue had only taken charge of two top-flight games himself. Most read in FootballCASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITSIt won’t only be Arsenal fans wondering if Liverpool’s name is on the trophy after this.Liverpool ended a frustrating first half by conceding a ridiculous goal and they could – perhaps should – have been a man down, too.Max Fosh tries SHREDDING yellow card after being booked by ex-Premier League ref in Sidemen vs YouTube All Stars clashSmallbone turned hero to villain as he gave away a penaltyCredit: ReutersSlot was much happier after the full time whistleCredit: RexIf VAR had asked referee Lewis to have another look at Darwin Nunez’s wild kick on Walker-Peters, he would have been well within his rights to dismiss the Reds striker. It would have been an awful end to a half that had threatened to begin so well for the runaway league leaders.Curtis Jones had a shot blocked inside the first minute and should have hit the target with a very presentable chance before there were six on the clock.Southampton barely left their half in the opening 20 minutes and then lost captain Jan Bednarek following a clash of heads with his own full back Ryan Manning.Yet the visitors immediately enjoyed a good spell, with Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Mateus Fernandes asking Alisson to make the first saves of the match.Southampton goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale denied Trent Alexander-Arnold from a narrow angle and Nunez failed to test him with a turn and shot.Liverpool returned to dominating possession and territory yet could not move the ball quickly enough to create really clear-cut openings. The Saints were also defending well, throwing their bodies into blocking shots and crosses. Manning was particularly committed. And the visitors’ refusal to fit into the narrative of a comfortable Liverpool win was rewarded in stoppage-time.As Van Dijk tried to shepherd the ball back to Alisson with Smallbone on his back, the Liverpool players got in each other’s way. In the resulting confusion Smallbone tucked the ball neatly under the Reds’ keeper and into the net. There was still time for Nunez’s lucky escape. The way he brought down Walker-Peters was not an attempt to play the ball, it was a petulant kick. Violent conduct, in other words..VAR took a long hard look but then decided that Lewis’ initial verdict of yellow card was not so outrageous that it needed correcting. It was not much of a shock that Slot made a triple change at the break. The big surprise was Nunez not being one of those to make way.Harvey Elliott almost repeated his incredible entrance to proceedings at the Parc des Princes when he fired in a shot, only for Ramsdale to make an excellent stop. And Slot’s faith in the Uruguayan was soon justified in spectacular style. Luis Diaz made a fabulous run down the left, beating Walker-Peters and pulling it back from the byline. And there was Nunez to tuck in a neat striker’s finish.Unbelievably, Liverpool’s No.9 then turned provider. Smallbone’s challenge on Nunez was clumsy and probably unnecessary. Lewis pointed to the spot and Salah beat Ramsdale’s dive with an excellent penalty.Southampton were understandably deflated. Boss Ivan Juric tried to breathe new life into them by making a double change, bringing on Yukinari Sugawara and Cameron Archer for the ineffective Tyler Dibling and Albert Gronbaek.Liverpool looked as if they were happy to play the game out for a single-goal victory and conserve energy for the PSG return on Tuesday. But they were warned it was a bad idea when Archer escaped and Alisson had to make a decent stop.At the other end Salah fluffed an excellent chance to kill off the game and you wondered whether it would prove costly.Elliott shot wide but little else happened until Juric rolled the dice by throwing on big Paul Onuachu and Joe Aribo.Instead, VAR and Salah settled the game.Diaz did well, put pressure on Sugawara but arguably pushed him before the Japanese international moved the ball out of his reach with his arm.Donohue summoned Smith to the monitor and the verdict was penalty.Salah scored again.READ MORE SUN STORIESThere was still time for Liverpool sub Jarell Quansah to pull back Walker-Peters and not be penalised. But Arsenal and the rest are running out of road to halt the Reds juggernaut as it chugs towards the title.Yukinari Sugawara handled the ball in a jostle with Luis DiazCredit: AFPReferee Lewis Smith gave the penalty after being sent to the screen by VARCredit: PA More

Liverpool 0-1 SouthamptonWell, well, well…Alisson and Virgil van Dijk were Liverpool’s heroes in Paris on Wednesday, but they’ve blundered their way into a massive mix-up here that has allowed Will Smallbone to score his first Premier League goal. The centre-back tries to shepherd the ball back to his keeper but with Smallbone and Mateus Fernandes in pursuit, they only succeed in clattering into each other. With the ball running free, Southampton’s midfielder quickly pivots to send the ball into the empty net in front of a stunned Kop.The team adrift at the foot of the table lead at the runaway leaders.
