    BOTTAS TAKES POLE
Valtteri Bottas joins an illustrious list of drivers to take pole at Imola.

AND FROM POLE SITTER, VALTTERI BOTTAS
“This track is beautiful and it’s a great feeling to get pole – I had the shakes afterwards!
“I knew in the last lap I had to risk it and go hard and the car responded. It’s a good place to start tomorrow and I’m looking forward it it”

    MORE FROM HAMILTON
“I’m pretty certain you’ll see a boring race tomorrow.
“After Turn 1 it is going to be a train as there is nowhere else to pass, but hopefully with the DRS that will give us an opportunity to overtake. Nonetheless, I’ll give it everything tomorrow.”

    LEWIS HAMILTON ON HIS PERFORMANCE
“Valtteri did a great job and it was a pretty p*** poor lap from myself!
“These things happen, you can’t always get it perfect. The speeds here are unbelievable. It was a real challenge out there.”

BREAKING: @ValtteriBottas takes pole at Imola!

BOTTAS DOES – THE FINN TAKES POLE POSITION
Hamilton will start second. Verstappen in third and Gasly fourth.

    HAMILTON IS GOING EVEN QUICKER
    But so too is Bottas.
This might be close between the two Merc men.

    THREE MINUTES TO GO…
    Merc are looking comfortable.

IT IS CLOSE BETWEEN THE MERC DUO

    ALBON HAS A TIME DELETED
The Red Bull man exceeded track limits – for the SEVENTH time today.
He keeps on making the same mistake.
    Not good enough.
    He is in P10

    PROVISIONAL POLE FOR HAMILTON
The world champ draws first blood as Bottas’s flying lap is only good enough for second place.
It is Hamilton, Bottas, Verstappen, Gasly, Albon, Leclerc after their first attempts.

    Q3 IS GO
The top 10 shoot-out. Mercedes looking good for a front row lock out.
    Will Verstappen challenge then?
Can Gasly keep the pressure on?
And what about Leclerc? He has a habit of coming good in the end.

    GREAT WORK FROM GASLY

    Q2 IS DONE
Stroll, Russell, Vettel, Ocon and Perez are eliminated.
Both AlphaTauris are in the top 10. Both McLarens also into Q3

    VERSTAPPEN IS INTO Q3
Super effort from Red Bull. Incredible stuff in the garage.

    RED BULL GET VERSTAPPEN
A spark-plug change, usually takes 15 minutes, Red Bull have done it in about 5. Incredible stuff.
    Verstappen is running again.
    Two minutes to go.

    DROP ZONE
    Crikey, look at that…
    Albon, Stroll, Russell, Vettel, Verstappen

    AND NOW ALBON SPINS
A double disaster for Red Bull. The Thai driver spins and is in for new tyres.
Meanwhile, Verstappen is sat in the garage while the team fix a misfire in the engine.

    PROBLEM FOR VERSTAPPEN
More swearing from the Dutchman, who says he has no power. Just when it looked like a comfortable run into Q3.
He is in the garage, the wheels are off and now the engine cover is being removed.
He’s not set a lap time and looking at a P15 start in the race, unless the team can get him back out on track.
Teammate Alex Albon down in P7.

    TYRE TALK
Teams trying to reach Q3 on the optimal medium tyre, which they would start the race on.

    — Pirelli Motorsport (@pirellisport) October 31, 2020

    Q2 IS UNDERWAY
This is close to call. Aside from the Mercs and Verstappen, who look in a class of their own, it is going to be interesting to see who gets the boot from Q2.

    Q1 IS DONE
Giovinazzi, Latifi, Raikkonen, Magnussen and Grosjean are eliminated.
George Russell makes it into Q2 for the eighth time this season as the Brit continues to deliver.

COULD THERE BE A BIG SCALP HERE?
Albon and Ricciardo are in the bottom five. They need clean laps.

    THIS IS EXCITING STUFF
The lack of running, remember just one 90 minute practice session, means all the drivers are still picking different routes through this track.
Lap times are tumbling as Bottas moes into the top two.

    HAMILTON GOES INTO P1
His first lap is good enough to go into P1, despite hitting the kerb.
But under fire Alex Albon is only 15th in his Red Bull

F1 Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix LIVE: Practice build-up, Hamilton goes for pole, qualifying time – latest updates

THE F1 season continues this weekend in Italy as Imola hosts Formula One for the first time in 16 years.
Lewis Hamilton is looking to extend his lead at the top of the Driver’s Championship after beating Michael Schumacher’s race win record in Portugal.
    Practice start time: 9am
    Qualifying: 1pm
TV/Live stream: Sky Sports F1/NOW TV

Follow all the latest from Imola with our blog below…

F1 heads to Imola as Lewis Hamilton looks to continue his excellent form after beating Michael Schumacher’s all-time record of race wins in Portugal last week.
The track hosted the San Marino Grand Prix before it was scrapped in 2006 however this weekend’s race will be named the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix after the region in Italy where Imola is actually located.
And Mercedes have an extra incentive to perform this weekend as they can pick up the Constructors’ Championship with four races to spare.
All that needs to happen for Toto Wolff’s team to win a fourth straight title is for one of their drivers to finish fourth.
If, as is likely, that does happen, not even a Red Bull one-two would be enough to delay the inevitable until the Turkish Grand Prix in two weeks.
Lewis Hamilton, who has never raced in F1 at Imola before has said he is very moved to be driving at the track where his childhood hero Ayrton Senna lost his life.
The Brit commented: “It is still very surreal for me when I go to places, where you drive through the tunnel at Monaco or the British GP where the greats of the past have raced.
“The fact that earlier on I was in an area where 26 years ago Ayrton was here doing what he loved, as I am, that is heartwarming to know that I am able to be here and do what he was doing.”

    THAT’S ALL FOR TONIGHT

    GOODNIGHT!

    ACADEMY PRODUCT
Eddie Nketiah has hit the ten goal mark at professional level for Arsenal!

    NO LUCK OF THE IRISH
    Match report from Mark Irwin!
    ARSENAL 3-0 DUNDALK MATCH REPORT

    STAT OF THE DAY
Dundalk didn’t commit a single foul in the whole 90 minutes! Now, it’s either they were chasing shadows OR they’re extremely well disciplined.

    DEBUT
Folarin Balogun made his Arsenal debut!

    FULL-TIME STATS
Arsenal continued to dominate the ball in the second half, increasing their share of possession to 62 per cent.
The two goals before half-time crushed Dundalk’s spirit and it was one way traffic from that point forward.

Arsenal had a lot of joy in the wide areas of the attacking third, Pepe and Nelson looked threatening every time they picked up the ball and drove Arsenal forward.
It was the quick interchanging passing in the right channel which saw Willock play the ball in to Pepe for Arsenal’s third.

The heat map tells you everything you need to know, all of the football being played was inside the Dundalk half.
Arsenal pinned their opponents inside their own half, were clinical where it mattered and saw the game out for three points.

    FT: ARSENAL 3-0 DUNDALK
Arsenal get the job done, three fantastic goals earned them three valuable points at home!
Dundalk can leave the game with their heads held high, they didn’t win the game but they most certainly didn’t embarrass themselves.
Pepe’s wonder strike added to Nketiah and Willock’s first half goals, he touched the ball out of his feet and planted the ball into the top right corner with his weaker right foot.
It’ll be a game to remember for the visitors, it’s not often you get to play one of the best sides in the Premier League.
Two on the bounce for Arteta’s men, six points from six!

    PEEEEEEP!
    THAT’S FULL-TIME!

    ARSENAL 3-0 DUNDALK
    90. Three added minutes it is!

    ARSENAL 3-0 DUNDALK
    89. Willock is in the thick of things again, he’s twisting and turning inside the penalty area, he gets his head to look for Cedric to his right but the right-back was stationary.
He tries to drive to the byline but the defence do their best to stop a fourth going in.

    ARSENAL 3-0 DUNDALK
    87. Olé…… Olé……Olé! pass after pass from Arsenal, Dundalk are down and out but at least they’ve managed to keep the score at 3-0.
Three minutes rumoured to be added on once we reach 90.

    ARSENAL 3-0 DUNDALK
    85. Arsenal are seeing out the win under very little threat or pressure, five plus additional minutes to be played.

    ARSENAL 3-0 DUNDALK
    83. Positive play from Willian down the right, he beats his man with a couple of step overs before whipping a cross into the box, Boyle got to the ball first and headed the ball behind for a corner.
    Willian to take.

    ARSENAL 3-0 DUNDALK
    79. Some neat footwork inside the penalty are from Nelson, instead of taking the shot on his left foot he lays it off to Tierney behind him who smashed his effort over the crossbar.
Arsenal look dangerous every time they come forward, we might see another goal in the final ten.

    ARSENAL 3-0 DUNDALK
    77. Just over ten minutes to go at the end of the second half and there hasn’t been an awful lot to report on in the last couple of minutes.
Dundalk are starting to see more of the ball and they’re progressing up the pitch but they’re not getting the final ball right.

    ARSENAL 3-0 DUNDALK
    75. Poor effort from Hoban, high and wide…. Runarsson hasn’t been tested at all in the second half.

    ARSENAL 3-0 DUNDALK
    74. Dundalk have a free-kick in a promising position thanks to a clumsy challenge from Willian, 35 yards from goal and a decent chance to get a shot on target.
    Hoban to take.

    ARSENAL 3-0 DUNDALK
    72. A change for Dundalk as Colovic comes on for Duffy.
Arsenal are making a double change and we’re going to see Folarin Balogun and Kieran Tierney!
Xhaka and Nketiah are making way.
Balogun is one of Arsenal’s brightest prospects in the academy, fans have been itching to see him get his chance.

    JOB DONE
Dundalk look a defeated side, Arteta doesn’t have to call upon Aubameyang to save him this time!

    Credit: Getty Images

    ARSENAL 3-0 DUNDALK
    67. Wonderful cross into the box from the right hand-side by Cedric, Nketiah tries to get on the end of it but the on-rushing keeper put the him off.
Cedric put the ball the ball right on the money, all it needed was a touch past Rogers.

    ARSENAL 3-0 DUNDALK
    66. Lovely skill from Willock inside the penalty area, he dances his way into space before hesitating to pull the trigger, the hesitation allows Gartland to get back and stick a foot in.
Arsenal corner and Willian to take.

    ARSENAL 3-0 DUNDALK
    65. It’s looking like damage limitation now from Dundalk, they have ten men behind the ball trying to shut Arsenal out from getting a fourth.
Most of the play in the 65 minutes played have been played inside Dundalk’s half.

    ARSENAL 3-0 DUNDALK
    62. Arsenal are sticking with the same formation, Elneny is slotting into the back three alongside Xhaka and Kolasinac.
Great speed from Nelson as he leads yet another counter attack, he does a couple of step overs before skinning Gartland, he tries to pull the ball back to Nketiah but his cross is blocked.
Nelson has been impressive tonight, he does however need to improve on his final ball if he’s going to break into Arsenal’s starting XI.

    ARSENAL 3-0 DUNDALK
    61. Gannon is coming on for Shields, it’s Gannon’s seventh season at Dundalk!

    ARSENAL 3-0 DUNDALK
    60. Nelson capitalises on another Dundalk mistake by the byline, he picks the wrong pass and instead of pulling the ball back to Pepe he drilled it across the face of goal!
Whilst the substitutions are being made with Pepe and Mustafi being replaced by Willian and Ceballos, let’s take a look at Pepe’s beauty!

The fight will take place at the Staples Centre in downtown Los Angeles, USA

    ALL FRIENDS HERE
It was a very respectful presser with the two legendary boxers.
Both spoke of their admiration for each other.
But you can bet neither will hold anything back once they step in the ring.

    GLOVES ARE OFF
And that’s all from Tyson and Jones Jr this evening.
Now for the hard part… waiting for the actual fight!

    RAF RIDER
Tyson explains why he chose MMA coach Rafael Cordeiro for the fight.
He says: “I’m so happy to have him, it’s such a winning idea, he’s a winner.
“He’s a great man, I have a great team like family members, it’s a family energy
“We’re ready to go to war.”

    MORE TO COME?
Tyson hints this may not be the last time he gets in the ring.
He says: “The last time I was this weight was 17 or 18 years old
“I’m really happy with everything I’ve been doing, it’s down to confidence and self affirmation.
“It’s amazing, I’m just ready to do this. I can’t explain it in words.
“I’m going to go as long as this is working. My legend is going to be that I gave a lot more than I took.”

    REAL HITS
Both fighters insist that this will be a full-on battle despite technically being an exhibition.
Tyson says: “You got Mike Tyson and Roy Jones and I’m coming to fight and he’s coming to fight and that’s all you need to know.”
Jones Jr adds: “The last guy who did an exhibition with Mike got dropped in the first round.
    “This is an exhibition? C’mon!”

    RESPECT
Jones Jr has some kind words for Tyson’s epic recovery.
He explains: “I think he looks awesome, I was very proud to see him bounce back the way he did.
“To see him hit the pads and bodybag the way he’s doing it’s phenomenal, it’s crazy.
“But we’re freaks, we’re two of the most explosives guys to be in a boxing ring.
“I’m so fast people think I’m speeding this up. Two legends like that, how can you not get right?”

    MEMORIES
Reflecting on his last time in a boxing ring, Tyson says: “I was happy to leave the ring.
“I was dreading being it at the time, I was fighting for financial purposes.
“I was on drugs at the time, I was a whole different person back then.
“I’m ready to do this and I’m feeling great.”

    ‘CAN’T SAY NO’
Jones Jr admits he could not turn down the opportunity to fight Iron Mike.
He says: “Everyone is faced with adversity right now, so you want to be a person who gives them something to look forward to.
“When you get the biggest adversity to ever knock on your door, to ring your phone, how can you say no?”

    IRON FIST
Asked why he’s come back to the ring, Tyson explains:
“I feel magnificent. I’ve been training, someone gave me a proposition to fight.
“It went from Shannon Briggs to someone else and now I’m fighting Roy.”

    MAIN EVENT
Up next is the one you’ve been waiting for…
    Tyson vs Jones Jr!

    LA JAKERS
Paul already wound up here, exclaiming: “You’re dumb Nate.
“You’re the one talking s**t on Instagram.
“Shut up, you know you’re boring and you know you suck.
“You sure as hell don’t know how to box. I’ll bounce your head off the canvas.”

    VIDEO NASTY
Robinson already digging out Paul and his brother Logan.
He says: “You see his brother on the Disney channel
“I follow Jake’s YouTube, how can you not, he’s already interrupting the interview already, very disrespectful.
“It’s going to be fun seeing him. You and your brother only fight YouTubers, you’re going to fight a real athlete, I’ll beat your a**.”

    BOXING CLEVER
Paul a bit late tuning in, saying he’s at the hospital for a check-up.
Trying to brush it off, he jokes: “My team was afraid I was turning into Iron Man
    “I punched a hole in a car.”

    PAUL THE OTHER ONE
Jake Paul and Nate Robinson up next here.

    LAST WORD
McKernan ends with one last parting shot at Jack.
He sniped: “Jack’s on a downward trajectory in his career, I’m going up.”

    JACK OF ALL TRADES
Jack is unflustered by McKernan’s promise.
He responds: “My team is telling me he’s been talking crazy so who’s overlooking who?
“I’ve fought eight world champs back to back, he’s a club level fighter.
“We gave this guy an opportunity, he don’t deserve to be on this stage.
“Show a little respect. He reminds me of Peter Magnelli, that’s how he talks.”

    SOLDIER OF FORTUNE
McKernan believes he is being unfairly written off.
He said: “It’s comical to me. The number one rule should be never underestimate anyone.
“In boxing never look past the fight that’s in front of you.
“You have no idea about their skill set and what they can do.
“Badou Jack has never shared the ring with a man of the calibre like myself.
“‘I’ve been overseas, fought in wars, I’ve looked death in the eyes countless times.
“Staring at him across the ring doesn’t intimidate me, I’m prepped for war and ready for battle.
“Jack is just one of the people standing in my way at the moment.”

    BAD COMPANY
Jack on fine form this evening.
He continues: “I’m not used to fighting before a couple of YouTubers, but it is what it is.
“It’s not a typical fight card but I’m not mad. This is for the kids.”

    HUMBLE PIE
It sparked a fierce response from McKernan, saying: “I think they’re overlooking me, I’m no threat, an easy pay day.
“That’s something they shouldn’t have done. Picking me for this fight was the wrong decision.
“I’ve been prepping my entire life for this moment and will seize it.”

    KICKING OFF
    Shots fired already here.
Jack says: “I was not familiar with him and still am not.
“I guess this is the guy they picked and it’s just another day at the office.”

    NEXT UP
Here is Badou Jack and Blake McKernan for the next round of questions…

Royal Antwerp 1-0 Tottenham LIVE RESULT: Refaelov pounces on Davies error to give Belgians shock win

TOTTENHAM were beaten 1-0 in Belgium as the likes Harry Kane, Gareth Bale and Son Heung-min all failed to find a way past Royal Antwerp.
34-year-old Israeli Lior Refaelov had the final say when he pounced on a first half mistake from Ben Davies to score the game’s only goal.

    GOODBYE!
Well Jose isn’t a happy man, his team were expected to win tonight, that’s for sure.
Antwerp, however, were as solid as they come, and Spurs just didn’t get going.
They sit second in Group J while Antwerp are flying high at the top with six points.
Next in the competition for Spurs is Ludogrets, while they take on Brighton in the Premier League on Sunday.
    Until then, goodbye folks!

    SELECTION HEADACHE
Mourinho still talking about his selections, hinting that there will be a few players who won’t be starting again for a while.
    Could that mean Dele Alli?
“Before matches you always ask me why this player is not playing, why this player is not playing, why this player is not selected,” he said.
“Maybe now for a few weeks you don’t ask me that because you have the answer.”

    MORE FROM JOSE
The Portuguese is not a happy man with his players’ performances tonight.

    JOSE NOT HAPPY
“I would like to make 11 (changes at half-time). I didn’t make five because I was afraid of a long 45 minutes,” he said.
“There is only one to blame, I chose the players to start.
“Tonight my future choices are going to be very easy. It is my responsibility.”

    ANTWERP 1-0 TOTTENHAM
Antwerp started the game well but Tottenham had been passing the ball around nicely, too.
And then Ben Davies made his mistake, Mbokani ghosted into the box before lobbing the ball to Refaelov.
The striker did the rest, smashing home on the volley.
Antwerp then held on to make it two wins from two in Group J.

    PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!
    That’s FULL-TIME!
    Antwerp BEAT Tottenham 1-0!!!!
    WHAT A RESULT!

    ANTWERP 1-0 TOTTENHAM
90+4. Antwerp try to play the ball out but it’s intercepted and Spurs come again.
Moura passes to Aurier, whose cross is palmed away by Butez.

    ANTWERP 1-0 TOTTENHAM
90+2. Not sure where five minutes has come from I must say… there’s been no goals!
Anyway, Tottenham still pushing for that all important equaliser.
    Kane tries another shot. Blocked.

    ANTWERP 1-0 TOTTENHAM
    90. BIG chance for Spurs! Kane has a shot in the box before pinball ensues and the ball falls for Son, whose smash shot is blocked.
Lamela then has a chance at the far post but the ball gets away from him.
    And breathe, Antwerp fans.
    Five minutes added.

    ANTWERP 1-0 TOTTENHAM
    88. Antwerp in do or die mode, now.
Just minutes to go and they’re clinging on here. Would be a massive win.
Winks has a shot in the box but it’s thrashed over!

    ANTWERP 1-0 TOTTENHAM
    85. Aurier tries to cross but the ball is cleared.
Fireworks here in Antwerp… they’ve not won yet!
Minutes to go however. More of the same probing from Spurs so far but they’re not going to break through it seems.

    ANTWERP 1-0 TOTTENHAM
    83. Buta tries some trickery out on the right but Spurs win it back. Hojbjerg launches forward for Son.
Kane tries to exchange passes with Son this time but Antwerp clear again.

    ANTWERP 1-0 TOTTENHAM
    80. Antwerp come forward with Refaelov and the ball ends up with Refaelov who can only pass off to Buta.
Tottenham trying to press and win the ball back as quickly as possible but they simply haven’t been good enough tonight.

    ANTWERP 1-0 TOTTENHAM
    77. Son gets forward and sees his run cut out.
Kane then advances with the ball and shoots but his shot is blocked.
Antwerp have 12 minutes left here to hang on to.

    ANTWERP 1-0 TOTTENHAM
    75. Another big chance for Antwerp!
This time the substitute Verstraete gets through in the box and dances around a few challenges before shooting straight at Sanchez.

    ANTWERP 1-0 TOTTENHAM
    73. Kane slips Son into the box and he tries to dance around a couple of players but it’s cleared.
Juklerod then has the biggest chance of the game since the goal as he’s clear on goal but he absolutely leathers the ball over the bar.
Awful attempt, Antwerp should be 2-0 up.

    ANTWERP 1-0 TOTTENHAM
    71. Hongla going off for Verstraete for Antwerp.
Lamela then comes forward for Spurs and bundles his way into the box but Buta clears.
De Laet then sweeps up the field but his ball to Mbokani is cut out.

    ANTWERP 1-0 TOTTENHAM
    69. Antwerp pressing really well whenever Tottenham approach the 18-yard box with the ball.
Son standing over a free-kick now, however, as the pressing gets a little too aggressive for the ref’s liking.
    Butez collects.

    ANTWERP 1-0 TOTTENHAM
    67. Son tries to slip in Aurier but the ball goes out for a throw. Mourinho looking concerned on the sidelines.
But there’s not much he can do now. Antwerp still looking relatively OK out there, at the moment.

    ANTWERP 1-0 TOTTENHAM
    65. Aurier crosses beautifully for Lamela but the ball is just an inch past Lamela’s head.
Jenas on commentary thinks if Kane was in that position it would be 1-1. If only, Jermaine.
Antwerp get forward with Mbokani and Buta, who crosses for absolutely no-one in the Spurs box.

    ANTWERP 1-0 TOTTENHAM
    64. First big chance of the game for Spurs as Moura crosses for Son, whose shot is blocked by Seck from six yards out.
Big chance for the Korea, who has buried everything as of late.

Juventus 0-2 Barcelona LIVE RESULT: Messi penalty secures Barca win as Morata has three goals disallowed

BARCELONA have secured an impressive win at Juventus as Lionel Messi’s penalty followed up a strike from range from Ousmane Dembele.
While hosts Juventus threatened, with Alvaro Morata having three goals disallowed, Barcelona remained comfortable for the most part.

The Juve cause was also not helped by Merih Demiral being sent off for a second booking with five minutes to go.

    ARRIVEDERCI FROM TURIN
Reports of Barcelona’s demise may have been premature.
Following boardroom chaos, transfer sagas and defeat in El Clasico, Barca had been on the floor, but they bounced back this evening with an impressive Champions League win in Italy.
In control from the start, the Spanish side dominated a weakened Juventus to prevail 2-0, and, while there was no Cristiano Ronaldo on display, there was certainly a Lionel Messi.
The Barcelona captain was remarkable at times, gliding across the pitch with the grace that we have come to adore.
He brought up the 300th assist of a sensational career with a brilliant crossfield pass for Ousmane Dembele to open the scoring, and then bagged his 70th Champions League group stage goal from the penalty spot with seconds remaining.
By their high standards, Juventus were poor, and their reliance on the absent Ronaldo showed.
Mind you, Alvaro Morata demonstrated that he at least knows how to find the net, he’s just unsure of the offside rule.
Three times the former Chelsea striker believed he had scored, only to be denied by a combination of the linesman’s flag and the video officials.
A bad night for the Old Lady was summed up by the late red card shown to Merih Demiral, sent off for two bookable offences.
The result is a reprieve for the underfire Ronald Koeman, but, for Andrea Pirlo, the Juve jury remains out.
Thanks for being with us and goodnight.

    G AND EASY
It’s not all bad news for Juventus this evening.
A last minute equaliser for Ferencvaros against Dynamo Kyiv means there is still daylight between the Italians in second place in Group G and the other two sides.
Barcelona lead the way with maximum points from two games.

    MESSI ON THE SPOT
Barcelona’s talisman seals the victory in the final minute with a penalty.

    MORATA MISERY
Juventus forward Alvaro Morata had the ball in the back of the net three times this evening, only to find each one ruled out for offside.
That made it five disallowed goals for Morata – all ruled out for offside – in his last four games.

    LEO LEADS THE WAY
A 70th goal in the Champions League group stages, and he’s heading some significant numbers from the match too.

Lionel Messi completed more take-ons (6) and created more chances (5) than any other player on the pitch against Juventus.
Oh, and he got a goal and an assist. #UCL pic.twitter.com/GIfNFFWKbK

    MESSI THE MAIN MAN AGAIN
It was another impressive display from the Barcelona captain, and the club’s social media team couldn’t help having a dig at absent friends.

    SEEING RED
Juventus’ Merih Demiral is given his marching orders in the closing stages at the Allianz Stadium.

    FT: JUVENTUS 0-2 BARCELONA
Barcelona win away at Juventus for the first time despite all their recent turmoil.
Ousmane Dembele’s deflected goal in the first half and Lionel Messi’s late penalty did the damage, and it was the least the Spaniards deserved as they bettered their hosts in every area – despite Alvaro Morata’s trio of disallowed goals.

    PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!
    IT’S ALL OVER IN TURIN!

    JUVENTUS 0-2 BARCELONA
    90+3. Fati must score!
    Fati must shoot?!
The teenage top scorer, one on one with Szczesny, instead looks for a pass to Martin Braithwaite that isn’t on, and only succeeds in rolling the ball out for a goalkick.
    Bizarre.

    90. Well, he was never going to miss, was he?
Sending Wojciech Szczesny the wrong way, Lional Messi is cool as you like as he sweeps his left-footed strike into the top corner from 12 yards.
The spotkick was justified as Federico Bernardeschi, clumsy and lazy, bundled into the back of Ansu Fati as the substitute burst into the box.
It’s Messi’s 70th goal in the Champions League group stage in just 74 games.
    Juventus 0-2 BARCELONA

    GOOOOOOOAALLLLLL!!
    MESSI MAKES NO MISTAKE!!

    BERNARDESCHI BRINGS DOWN FATI!
    PENALTY TO BARCA!

    JUVENTUS 0-1 BARCELONA
    88. Ronald Koeman gives Junior Firpo a runout for the last couple of minutes.

    JUVENTUS 0-1 BARCELONA
    85. Juve will play out the final five minutes with ten men because Merih Demiral has been sent off for two yellow cards.
The Turkish international tried to pull out as he flung his boot in the direction of Miralem Pjanic, but the damage had already been done.
Under the nose of the Dutch referee, he had no hesitation in pulling out a yellow card followed by the red.
A hard task just got tougher for the hosts.

    RED CARD!!
MERIH DEMIRAL IS GIVEN HIS MARCHING ORDERS!

    JUVENTUS 0-1 BARCELONA
    83. Pirlo calls for reinforcements with Arthur thrown on to replace Bentancur.

    JUVENTUS 0-1 BARCELONA
    81. Have the Italians got an equaliser in them as we head into the final ten minutes?
If they show the same amount of fight as Danilo just did when not being awarded a throw-in, they may just have a chance.

    JUVENTUS 0-1 BARCELONA
    78. It’s Rabiot’s turn for a booking.
The Frenchman struggled to keep pace Messi so took the easy option of bundling him over from behind.
It’s Juve’s fourth caution of the night. Meanwhile, the recipient of their first – Dejan Kulusevski – has gone off to be replaced by Weston McKennie.

    JUVENTUS 0-1 BARCELONA
    75. Griezmann in inches away from bagging Barcelona a second.
The game is opening up now, and the French international found himself in plenty of space on the left as he dragged his shot not only past Szczesny, but also the outside of the far post.

    JUVENTUS 0-1 BARCELONA
    74. Cuadrado receives a yellow card for diving, having gone past Lenglet in the area.
It’s the correct decision, and the Colombian is perhaps fortunate it’s not his second of the evening following his theatrics with Alba in the first half.

    JUVENTUS 0-1 BARCELONA
    73. Brilliant footwork from you know who.
Messi’s trickery and class takes him away from Bonucci with the Juventus defender barely noticing.
Into the box, only a last gasp block from Danilo denies the Argentine making it 2-0.

    JUVENTUS 0-1 BARCELONA
    70. They’re still fighting but it’s probably best if they don’t do it like this.
Demiral goes into the book for a wild hack as Messi threatened to dance through the Juventus defence.

    JUVENTUS 0-1 BARCELONA
    69. Juve are still fighting here.
Moments after Kulusevski had been off target with an audacious chip, Rabiot is sent through on goal by Morata’s clever through ball.
The angle is against him, and so is hit shooting ability as the Frenchman slides his effort well wide of the near post.

    JUVENTUS 0-1 BARCELONA
    66. Barcelona goalscorer, Ousmane Dembele, has run his race for the evening.
The French forward took advantage of a rare start to score, but will now take a breather to allow 17-year-old sensation Ansu Fati a runout.

Man Utd vs RB Leipzig LIVE RESULT: Rashford hat-trick secures Red Devils rout in Champions League

MANCHESTER UNITED have made it two big Champions League wins out of two, following last week’s win at PSG.
A goal from Mason Greenwood, an Anthony Martial penalty and a Marcus Rashford hat-trick leave the Red Devils very much in command of Group H.

    THAT’S A WRAP
Thanks for joining us- what a night!
For in-depth analysis, check out our match report here.

    NOT A RASH DECISION

“Messi and Ronaldo ain’t giving a pen away!”
    Or…
“That’s why he’ll be the captain, he thinks of others.”
Two schools of thought on Marcus Rashford allowing Anthony Martial to take a pen despite being on a hat-trick 😂 pic.twitter.com/ESQQb3MU64

    PICK OF THE BUNCH
Ole Gunnar Solskjær shuffled his starting XI this evening and was asked about several players that were gifted a start.
Speaking of Mason Greenwood’s goal, Solskjær said: “I’m not surprised. He’s so efficient in front of goal, he’s a great finisher- I was pleased with the timing of his run and the pass from Paul.”
On Van de Beek’s performance, the Manchester United boss said: “He’s a fantastic player, you should see the work he puts down both on and off the ball.
“He covers the ground and is so clever with his movement. I’m really pleased.
“We’ve made some changes today, as we have to be ready for Sunday’s game as the season is so relentless.”

    BOSS SPEAKS
Speaking after the game, Ole Gunnar Solskjær was asked about Marcus Rashford’s incredible performance.
The Manchester United boss said: “He came on, did well. You want that from the subs, but it’s only possible when the others have laid the groundwork- what a shift they’ve put in as Leipzig do make you work.
“We had to dig deep and work hard for each other; spaces open up when you’re winning and we knew we could rest a few today, as the season is relentless.
“This group is coming together; of course we’ve added some quality players, of course the more quality and spirit you have, the better the performance.”

    WHAT A GUY
Despite having the opportunity to get a hattrick, Rashford stepped aside to allow Martial to take the penalty this evening.
Martial calmly slotted it into the back of the net, before Rashford went and got his hattrick to make it five goals for United .

    UNITED FRONT
Manchester United legend Gary Neville was very happy with what he saw from United this evening…

    MARC HIS WORDS
Marcus Rashford has had a flying start to the season.
From nine appearances, he’s bagged seven goals and two assists, across all competitions.

    MAN OF THE MATCH
Speaking after the game, Marcus Rashford said: “I think the manager wanted me to up the tempo when I came on and we did that.
“There was definitely spaces there and today we found the spaces; we got Bruno and Paul on the ball and had Anthony running forward.
“I think it was a real team performance; the ones that started did well and the ones that came on did too. As a squad we can’t ask for much more than that in terms of attitude and intensity.”
When asked to comment on Mason Greenwood scoring with his first Champions League shot, Rashford laughed and said: ” It’s not surprising, he’s an outstanding player.
“He just needs to keep his head down and he can do amazing things.”

    HATTRICK HERO
Safe to say it doesn’t take Rashford long to do good!
The forward only needed 16 minutes to score three goals.
All after another busy week of standing up for children across the country.

Marcus Rashford is on another level tonight
Brought on a sub at 63 minutes, he’s bagged a hat-trick as Man Utd hammer RB Leipzig 5-0!
What a cameo from the man of the moment… pic.twitter.com/mj7d1pEU7U

    TWO FOR YOU
    Here’s Rashford’s second goal.
Safe to say Solskjaer is a happy chappy!

Marcus Rashford is on fire 🔥
Two goals in two minutes to seal a great win for Man Utd!
Just look at that Solskjaer reaction! pic.twitter.com/sL3oOozmiD

    SUPER SUB
Rashford’s boss earned the nickname super-sub, thanks to his antics for United.
Now the young Mancunian has joined him in the club’s record book..

3 – Marcus Rashford is only the second Man Utd player to score a hat-trick as a substitute after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer versus Nottingham Forest in February 1999 in the Premier League. Super. pic.twitter.com/DVEfo9HHZw

FT: MAN UTD 5-0 RB LEIPZIG

    90. Three goals in less than 16 minutes for the wonderful man saving children across the country!
Rashford bags his hat-trick after a lovely through ball from Martial, he controls the ball with one touch and then fires it into the net from 10 yards.
He pulls the trigger with such power and direction.
    MAN UTD 5-0 RB LEIPZIG

    GOOOOAL
    RASHFORD IS ON FIRE!

    MAN UTD 4-0 RB LEIPZIG
    89. Ole looks delighted with what he’s seen this evening; ten goals in their last four games across all competitions.

    MAN UTD 4-0 RB LEIPZIG
    88. Fernandes broke into the top of the box, desperately looking to square it to Cavani, but had to bide his time.
Cavani makes a beeline for the by-line and upon receiving the ball, sweeps it into the net with his left foot.
    VAR complete- goal disallowed.

    MAN UTD 4-0 RB LEIPZIG
    87. The ball is in the back of the net again- this time courtesy of Cavani, but the flag is up.
Although, as with two decisions thus far… we’ll have to wait and see what VAR says.

    87. Extremely selfless from Rashford, who could be on a hattrick as he allows Martial to take the pen.
A firm penalty is fired low into the bottom left-corner of the goal, although it did look as though Gulacsi got a touch to it.
    MAN UTD 4-0 RB LEIPZIG

    MAN UTD 3-0 RB LEIPZIG
    84. Martial is taken down in the box by the man that was viewed as the saviour by Leipzig.
Fred slid the ball through to Martial, who only had Sabitzer left to beat.
But Sabitzer slid to make a last-ditch challenge and pulled the Frenchman to the floor.

    MAN UTD 3-0 RB LEIPZIG
    84. PEN TO UNITED!!

    MAN UTD 3-0 RB LEIPZIG
    82. Rashford is a star both on and off the pitch – he’s been untouchable since he came on.
He’s just been on another solo run, making a mockery of four white shirts; he danced between the first two on the edge of the area, before faking a shot, he raced towards the centre of the box but his shot was eventually blocked.

    MAN UTD 3-0 RB LEIPZIG
    81. Ole makes his final changes;
Tuanzebe and Cavani replace Wan-Bissaka and Pogba.

    77. Before we could even catch our breath, Rashford makes it three!
Fred drew out Leipzig’s defence, which gave Rashford a ton of space when the ball fell to him.
He makes space on the edge of the area to get past a final man, Upamecano, and fires a shot into the bottom corner.
    MAN UTD 3-0 RB LEIPZIG
