West Brom vs Tottenham LIVE REACTION: Kane scores dramatic late winner to fire Spurs top of Premier League

TOTTENHAM pulled off the late, late show to score a win at the Hawthorns to fire them TOP of the Premier League.
Harry Kane is the man of the hour as his strike nudged Spurs ahead of Southampton at the summit of the Prem table.

FINAL SCORE: West Brom 0-1 Tottenham (Kane 88)

    Alex TerrellToday, 14:39

    THAT’S A WRAP
West Brom you were so close yet so far.
Slaven Bilics’ position in charge of the Baggies is in even more Jeopardy after another poor result against Spurs.
West Brom were dominant for long periods of the game but a mixture of opportunities wasted and world class saves from Hugo Lloris prevented them from getting on the scoresheet.
Spurs would eventually start to apply pressure on the home side and pressure in this case, makes goals as it was a late header from Harry Kane who enabled the visitors to run away with all three points.
To make things sweeter, the England international’s 150th Premier League goal puts his club top of the charts before other matches are concluded today.
As for the Baggies, Bilic can be proud of his team because it was a good performance but unfortunately, good performances means nothing if you don’t gain any points.
Thank you sticking with us this afternoon. Plenty more action to follow here on SunSport.
    Have a good Sunday!

150 – Only Alan Shearer (212) and Sergio Agüero (217) scored their 150th Premier League goal in fewer appearances than @HKane, who has done so this afternoon in his 218th match in the competition. Cometh. #WBATOT pic.twitter.com/5Rjb8iLRgu

    HARRY KANE SPEAKS
“It was a tough game, it was a big battle. Second half was a lot better than the first but they were defending for their lives as we knew they would.”
“It was about getting that breakthrough and thankfully I got a little header in there to mark the 150.”
“I think as the game opened up, we was creating more and more chances. Had a couple that they blocked off the line and the keeper made some good saves.”
“First half they created a couple chances, set pieces they were dangerous so we had to be on it and a clean sheet’s a very good one away from home and we’re delighted with the three points.”
“It puts us top of the league and that’s what our aim was coming into this game.”
“We would of taken being top of the league at this point in the season but there’s a lot of big games to come. After the international break, I think we play three or four of the top six so, we can start talking about who’s going to win the league come March, April times but so far so good.”

Lazio vs Juventus REACTION: Unhappy Cristiano Ronaldo puts ankle on ice as Juve concede late equaliser in Rome

JUVENTUS blew the chance to go one point behind AC Milan at the top of Serie A as Lazio grabbed a last-minute equaliser in Rome.
Cristiano Ronaldo had given the Old Lady the lead with a tap-in but was hauled off after 70 minutes before Felipe Caicedo bagged a last-minute equaliser.

FINAL SCORE: Lazio 1-1 Juventus (Caicedo 95/Ronaldo 16)

    Alex TerrellToday, 14:17

    SERIE A TABLE
So here is the situation in the Italian top flight after that late equaliser.
Other matches are up and running now, but Juventus had the chance to go second.
Instead they have to be satisfied with third, behind Sassuolo, while Lazio stay ninth.

    Alex TerrellToday, 13:49

    LATE EQUALISER
Here is how Lazio finally pierced through the Juventus armour to score a leveller.
Wonderful work by Correa in the build-up.

    Alex TerrellToday, 13:43

    RONALDO INJURED?
There are reports Cristiano Ronaldo has sprained his ankle as he walked off the pitch in the second half.
The hobble didn’t seem too bad but there was ice on his limb straight away.
Will he be a doubt for Portugal now as he hunts down the international goals world record?

    Alex TerrellToday, 13:33

    THROWN AWAY
What a chance Juve tossed away there.
Lazio barely had a chance inside the box all game, while the champions had plenty.
Hauling off Ronaldo and Morata seemed to invite pressure on to Juventus, simply because they were causing so many problems at the other end of the field.

    Alex TerrellToday, 13:28

    FT: LAZIO 1-1 JUVENTUS

    Alex TerrellToday, 13:27

Brilliant from Correa, who nutmegs Betancur on the left-hand side.
He runs inside and finds the Colombian, who has his back to goal.
Caicedo still has a lot to do but he is allowed to turn on the ball and spin for a shot, which is low and firm, past Szczesny.
    Wonderful stuff.
What about Dybala though?! He basically has the chance to run the ball down the other end of the pitch and relieve pressure.
Instead Dybala runs it straight out of play and seconds later the ball is in the back of the net.
If you’re Bonucci you’d be having a massive go at Dybala right now.
    LAZIO 1-1 Juventus

    Alex TerrellToday, 13:24

    GOOOOOOOAAAAALLLL LAZIO!!!!!
    IT’S CAICEDO!!!!

    Alex TerrellToday, 13:24

    LAZIO 0-1 JUVENTUS
    93. Just seconds left for Lazio.
Reina hoofs a big high ball forward, which Juve clear but Dybala bizarrely runs it out of play.

    Alex TerrellToday, 13:23

    LAZIO 0-1 JUVENTUS
    92. Chance for Lazio now, Pereira has the ball on the edge of the box and delivers it in, a bit overhit though.
    Juventus momentarily clear.
A ball is hammered in towards Caicedo’s chest, who controls it but is robbed by Bonucci.
Outstanding defending from the Juventus captain.

    Alex TerrellToday, 13:22

    LAZIO 0-1 JUVENTUS
    91. We’re into injury time now and the Juve bench are beside themselves as Dybala goes down under pressure from Milinkovic-Savic as he approaches the Lazio byline.
Replays show the Argentina star dived and rolled around, causing mass consternation from the Old Lady bench.
    That’s poor gamesmanship from Dybala.

    Alex TerrellToday, 13:20

    LAZIO 0-1 JUVENTUS
    88. It’s all long ball from Lazio now.
Caicedo is backing into Bonucci as a high ball comes in and the Italian defender flops to the floor, winning a foul.
The Juve defensive maestro has one of those Italian conversations with the Colombian where he shrugs and explains emphatically why it was a foul.
    What a character.

    Alex TerrellToday, 13:19

    LAZIO 0-1 JUVENTUS
    87. Once again poor from Andreas Pereira from a free kick.
He has a set-piece on the right and has Correa outside him, but the Argentine’s ball in is disappointing.
Milinkovic-Savic throws his arms in the air in exasperation.

    Alex TerrellToday, 13:16

    LAZIO 0-1 JUVENTUS
    84. Andreas Pereira has the chance to deliver a ball into the box for Lazio.
The former Manchester United midfielder winds up, but hits a very poor ball into the box.
Many an Old Trafford fan will be familiar with his erratic performances and that’s case in point.
Juventus clear and win a free-kick on half-way.
Big tension in the air in Rome now.

    Alex TerrellToday, 13:14

    LAZIO 0-1 JUVENTUS
    83. Contain, contain, contain from Juventus.
They are very deep as Lazio probe but struggle to find a way through.
Cuadrado fouls Acerbi and is booked.
Chance for a ball into the box.

    Alex TerrellToday, 13:12

    LAZIO 0-1 JUVENTUS
    80. Better from the home side.
The ball comes in towards Marusic at the far post on the left, but his diving header is straight at Szczesny!
    Good chance, that.

    Alex TerrellToday, 13:09

    LAZIO 0-1 JUVENTUS
    78. On comes Pereira, he is on for Alberto for Lazio.
Akpa Akpro is on for Cataldi, who was booked earlier.

    Alex TerrellToday, 13:07

    LAZIO 0-1 JUVENTUS
    75. OFF COMES RONALDO.
He is being substituted for Paulo Dybala.
Ronaldo doesn’t look happy about it either, at all.
Kulusevski is off for American McKennie.

    Alex TerrellToday, 13:05

    LAZIO 0-1 JUVENTUS
    74. Is that an unnatural position though? Perhaps not.
Juve perhaps lucky to get away with that one.

    Alex TerrellToday, 13:04

    LAZIO 0-1 JUVENTUS
    73. It’s straight into the wall from SMS’ free kick.
He argues it’s hand ball and replays show it HAS come off Rabiot’s arm inside the box!

    Alex TerrellToday, 13:04

    LAZIO 0-1 JUVENTUS
    72. Foul on the edge of the Juventus box.
Milinkovic-Savic and Luiz Alberto are standing over the ball, slightly to the left and suiting a right footer.

    Alex TerrellToday, 13:02

    LAZIO 0-1 JUVENTUS
    70. This game is getting more physical as the game goes on.
Danilo is fouled by Lazio sub Caicedo in midfield and it’s another chance for Juventus to relieve some pressure.

    Alex TerrellToday, 12:59

    LAZIO 0-1 JUVENTUS
    66. Half chance for Juve, but Ronaldo is a couple of yards offside.
He gives a thumbs up to Morata for a lovely ball in.

    Alex TerrellToday, 12:57

    LAZIO 0-1 JUVENTUS
    64. CHANCE FOR RONALDO!
But VERY, very well defended by Luiz Felipe.
Juve have three on two situation and the Portuguese is looking to wind up for a shot.
But as he does the Brazilian reads his stride and knocks it behind for a corner, which Lazio defend.

    Alex TerrellToday, 12:52

    LAZIO 0-1 JUVENTUS
    60. Getting a bit spicy between Marusic and Cuadrado on the Juventus right.
This time the Montenegrin barges into the Juve man’s back.
That’s a triple foul exchange in less than a minute.

    Alex TerrellToday, 12:51

    LAZIO 0-1 JUVENTUS
    59. Cuadrado is fuming.
He runs into the box and Marusic looks to be pulling his shirt as he protects the ball.
But the referee gives a foul against Cuadrado.
It looks like he was the first offender on replay.

Tello gets down the left for Betis, as he has done all game.
He puts in a first time ball, it evades Moreno before deflecting into Sanabria’s path. The striker has no qualms with smashing the ball high into the roof of the net.

    GOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL!
    REAL BETIS EQUALISE!
    GREAT GOAL!

    BARCELONA 1-0 REAL BETIS
    45. Barca playing out the rest of the half now with short, sharp passes in Betis’ half.
Three added minutes now for Betis to try and get a goal back before half-time.

    BARCELONA 1-0 REAL BETIS
    43. Dembele really lively this half as this time he gets down the right before crossing and winning a corner.
He takes the corner but it evades everyone in the box and goes out the other side for a goal-kick.
Few more minutes to go in the first half.

    BARCELONA 1-0 REAL BETIS
    40. Barca with a corner now on the left but it comes to nothing and Betis escape with the ball before winning a free-kick.
Pedri is yellow-carded for his troubles in pulling back Moreno.

    BARCELONA 1-0 REAL BETIS
    38. Barca trying to bop the ball about nicely in search of that elusive second goal here at the Camp Nou.
Betis are patient in attack as they come forward next.
Moreno lays the ball off for Canales to shoot but his effort is high and wide unfortunately for him.

    BARCELONA 1-0 REAL BETIS
    35. Well, well, well.
Would Messi have buried that? Penny for his thoughts. Griezmann steps up after Ansu Fati is tripped up as he marauds into the box.
The Frenchman’s left-footed effort is saved low to the keeper’s right.
    Great stop. 1-0 still.

    DEMBELE GOAL
It was a lovely finish from the French international.

    BARCELONA 1-0 REAL BETIS
    29. Betis have a free-kick in a dangerous position on the right-hand side.
It swings into the box but there’s no threat at all and it goes out for a Barca throw.
Betis players challenge and call and for a throw themselves, but Barca manage to play their way out of trouble.

    BARCELONA 1-0 REAL BETIS
    26. Barcelona trying to make their way into the box to nab a second now.
Betis had started the game well but Barca exchanging some nice passes in and around the box.
This time Griezmann has a pop at goal, but it goes just wide off the outside of the post.

    VAR CHECK
Goal has been checked by VAR after a hint of offside from Griezemann’s pass, but nothing doing. 1-0 Barca!

    BARCELONA 1-0 REAL BETIS
    23. What. A. Goal.
Dembele picks the ball up on the edge of his box on the right hand side before cutting in and slamming into the far top corner.
    Great goal from the Frenchman!
And probably against the run of play too!

    — FC Barcelona (@FCBarcelona) November 7, 2020

    GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLL!!!!!
    1-0 TO BARCELONA!
    DEMBELE!

    BARCELONA 0-0 REAL BETIS
    22. Betis with some neat work down the left again.
This time Tello gets himself on the ball after exchanging passes with Moreno, before he shoots straight at Ter Stegen.
Barca gain control of the ball but struggle to find a way through the away side’s midfield at the moment.

    BARCELONA 0-0 REAL BETIS
    20. Betis win a corner on the right but the ball is cleared away by Lenglet, who has started the game well for Barcelona.
The team in green and white are looking to come forward again, however, straight away.
They’re certainly not put off by the occasion and the lack of fans is probably helping them here.

    BARCELONA 0-0 REAL BETIS
    17. Betis pour through Barca’s defence yet again and Moreno ends up with the ball on the left before shooting wide of Ter Stegen’s post.
Barca then do the same but Dembele is ushered off the ball and into the advertising boards just as he tries to get a ball into the box.

    BARCELONA 0-0 REAL BETIS
    15. Betis get another nice ball into the box but this time Lenglet is there to clear the danger. The away side recycle possession, however, and they’re on the front foot again.
Pretty even game so far. Koeman barking out orders from the sidelines.
Messi wearing a mask and looking a little bored on the bench.

    BARCELONA 0-0 REAL BETIS
    13. BARCA CHANCE!
This time, Greizemann gets forward and runs at his defenders with all the speed and menace in the world before firing his shot past the post.
Good effort but he had a decent sight of goal there. Could’ve scored.

    BARCELONA 0-0 REAL BETIS
    11. Ansu Fati then goes for goal himself, after Dembele plays him in on the counter-attack.
Fati shoots and sees the ball deflect out for a corner, which is cleared.
Lively start to the game and good chances for both sides!

    BARCELONA 0-0 REAL BETIS
    9. William Carvahlo gets his head to it and Ter Stegen saves brilliantly and out for another corner.
The second one is cleared but Betis win a throw down the left-hand side.
    Good start from the visitors.

    BARCELONA 0-0 REAL BETIS
    7. Barcelona probing nicely but, to me, there’s already a sense that they’re missing Lionel Messi on the pitch. They’re lacking that killer pass.
Meanwhile, Betis romp up the other end of the pitch and get a ball into the box which Busquets clears for a corner.

    EVER HOPEFUL
Asked about Mason Holgate’s first game of the season, Carlo Ancelotti says: “It wasn’t a gamble, but he didn’t play well.
“Defensively we didn’t play well, but it’s not only the problem of the defenders.
“When you don’t defend well you have to focus on the whole team, not just one defender.”
Ancelotti was asked about the fact that he hasn’t lost three league games in a row since 2006, he says: “”It’s difficult territory but I know how to manage difficult times.
“I hope that after the international break we’ll have players back without injuries and we can start the season well again.”

    DEBRIEF
Carlo Ancelotti says: “I think the performance was good, but they scored two goals easily and took advantage, they made the game difficult.
“If we played the first half like we did in the second, we could have a different result
“We said before the game we have to defend better, but we didn’t.
“We were slow and gave them too many opportunities, we have to improve.
“Unfortunately it’s not a good period, as we have had three defeats. Hopefully after the international break we will be better.”

    NOT GUNNAR HAPPEN
Ole Gunnar Solskjær didn’t want to be drawn into talking about his win, instead he used the interview to blast the authorities.
When asked about injuries that his side are dealing with, he added: “Mason wasn’t feeling well last night, so he couldn’t travel.
“Luke looks like he’s done a hamstring which could be a long one.
“Rashford’s struggling with his shoulder- these are the demands on the players.”

    DEMANDING
Despite winning today, Ole Gunnar Solskjær was incredibly frustrated in his post-match interview.
Speaking on BY Sport, he says: “Shaw got injured today, because we went to Turkey Wednesday night, got back early Thursday morning, and are playing Saturday- it’s shambles.
“I can’t praise the boys enough for today, but they were set up to fail
“The authorities set us up to fail!
“How can we play on Wednesday night and then have to play again on Saturday?
“We have had enough. We have to understand how these players play during these times, let alone during a pandemic, it’s draining mentally and physically and now we’ve lost Luke Shaw because of this.
“We should have been set up on a Sunday, it’s a joke.”

    GAME SET MATCH
    Here’s United’s third goal..

Bruno Fernandes was on a hat-trick with a chance to bag his third…
And he laid it on a plate for Edinson Cavani to score his first Premier League goal 🙌

    STICKY TOFFEE
Three consecutive losses for Everton breaks a 14 year record for their boss.
Carlo Ancelotti has not lost three league games in a row since November 2006 with AC Milan.

    PORT OF VIEW
On the attitude of his team-mates, Portuguese star Bruno Fernandes says: “We know what we have to do inside the dressing room, everyone has to be a leader.
“Some need to be a leader with their actions, others by talking.
“But the point is, we did it and got the three points at the end of the game.
“The points are for everyone not just one player.”

    MAN OF THE MATCH
In a game when Ole Gunnar Solskjær really needed a win, his side delivered.
On the second goal, Bruno Fernandes says “I don’t care who scored it, if Marcus touched it a little bit then it can be his goal- no problem for me.
“Most important for me as a number ten is serving my team-mates, as I did for Edi.
“I had the chance to shoot, and maybe get a hattrick, but I saw Edi alone and he had the chance.”

    FT: EVERTON 1-3 MAN UTD

    94. United break quickly, after Doucoure missed a decent chance in the box.
Fernandes picks up the ball at the top of the D and looks set to bag a hat-trick, but he puts it on a plate for Cavani who’s wide open on his left.

    EVERTON 1-2 MAN UTD

    EVERTON 1-2 MAN UTD
    84. VAR check while the game continues; Coleman and Cavani are involved in clash in the box, as the United forward is down holding his ankle.
    VAR check complete- No penalty

    EVERTON 1-2 MAN UTD
    83. Doucoure and Fernandes look ready for a scrum, rather than a freekick as the pair have their arms around each other’s waists.
Everton are appealing for a pen, but ref dismisses their claims as their man was as much at fault.

    THAT’S A WRAP
Thanks for joining us this evening.
Don’t forget to take a look at our match report, you can find it here.

    YOUNG GUNS
There is a bunch of young talent in the Arsenal squad and the Gunners boss has been thrilled with the way they’ve played of late.
Arteta says “I really like the approach they have for every game.
“They want to make the difference for the team, they’re playing with a lot of personality so I’m really pleased with them.
On Willock’s performance and his chance to feature in the Premier League, Arteta says: “He could have scored more, he was in good goal scoring situations and created a few.
“I think he had a really good performance.
“If he keeps doing what he is doing consistently then his time will come.”

    BOSS SPEAKS
Mikel Arteta says: “It was a really important for us to win tonight and go top of the group with a very convincing victory.
“After going a goal behind it was about the reaction and being patient, we were and generated a lot of chances which meant we won the game.
“I think we got into good spaces and if they didn’t score own goals then we would have been there for the tap in.”

    NO AVERAGE JOE
Willock’s performances have been limited to competitions other than the Premier League, but fans are hoping that it won’t be long until we see him in top-flight English football.
Willock says “I’m just taking it game-by-game, it’s all part of my journey, I’m a young kid and I’m trying to play well each time I’m given the opportunity.
“I need to learn from the disappointment of not being in the squad and then pick myself up to play.
“I trust the manager and trust that he’ll give me the opportunities when I deserve it.
“When I get a chance to play in the Premier League, I hope I can perform like I did tonight.”

    MAN OF THE MATCH
After an incredible performance, we can hear from 21-year-old Joe Willock.
The midfielder says “The first half was tough, they started sharp and they played really well, so we had to stick with it.
“We hade to stick to the game plan and not get frustrated- that’s what we did, so we came out on top.”
Speaking of his goal, Willocks says: .”It broke for us and Nico looked up, passed it to me so I made sure I wasn’t making any mistake with that one, as I had a couple of chances earlier.
“I thought ‘this is my chance to score’ and it went it, which I’m happy about.”

    HISTORY MAKERS
There have been 90 goals in one night of Europa League action, from 25 games!

NOR WAY WAS THAT THE SCORE!
Molde scored three goals, but lost 4-1.
Two own goals from the Norwegian outfit doesn’t really do their performance much justice.

    YOUNG GUNNERS
From a slow start, Arsenal recovered well and bagged nine points out of nine to top Group B.
Willock, 21, was in the thick of the action and thoroughly deserved to get his name on the score sheet.

    FT: ARSENAL 4-1 MOLDE

    ARSENAL 4-1 MOLDE
    90. Two extra minutes at the Emirates.

    ARSENAL 4-1 MOLDE
    89. Great ball in from Saka to the six-yard box, but as the ball fizzes to Nketiah he misreads the path of the ball and fails to connect with it.

    88. Pepe pokes the ball through to Willock who pushes the ball once before firing it into the top right corner with his right foot.
He absolutely walloped the ball and managed to do so as he was being pushed the ground- he thoroughly deserved that goal after his performance this evening.
    ARSENAL 4-1 MOLDE

    GOOOOAL
WILLOCK MAKES UP FOR MISSING HIS LAST EFFORT

    ARSENAL 3-1 MOLDE
    86. Tierney sends a lovely ball across the centre of the box, as Willock turns 180 to put himself on his right foot.
But his body positioning is off and he sends it wide of the right post.

    ARSENAL 3-1 MOLDE
84: OH MY! THAT WAS CLOSE
James takes a shot from the right of the box and Luiz’s deflection causes the ball to ruffle the side netting.

    ARSENAL 3-1 MOLDE
    84. Substitution for Molde; Ellingsen is replaced by Mostrom.

    ARSENAL 3-1 MOLDE
Arsenal have had two goals disallowed for offside infringements.
But this a chance well and truly missed!

A glorious chance to take the lead 😫
Sead Kolašinac misses when it looks easier to score!
He won’t want to see that one again… pic.twitter.com/AZFplCSqm8

    ARSENAL 3-1 MOLDE
    80. The ball is in the back of the net, but the flag is up again for Arsenal!
Cedric’s effort is deflected and falls to Saka who is only a yard or two in front of the left post.
Miraculously he hits the post and as the ball falls to Nketiah he buries it.
But Saka had drifted offside beforehand.

    ARSENAL 3-1 MOLDE
    79. Arsenal make two more substitutions; Ceballos is replaced by Elneny and Xhaka makes way for Tierney

    ARSENAL 3-1 MOLDE
    How’s Saka for a stat?

14 – Since the start of last season, Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka has registered 14 assists in all competitions – more than any other teenager for a Premier League club in that time. Provider. #ARSMOL

    ARSENAL 3-1 MOLDE
    75. Saka is booked for a tackle on Wingo just a few yards out from the Arsenal area.

    Here’s Pepe’s shot for your viewing pleasure…

Arsenal are in control now! 💪

    ARSENAL 3-1 MOLDE
    74. Arsenal aren’t content with three, as Willock is on the hunt again.

    ARSENAL 3-1 MOLDE
    72. Double substitution for Molde; their goal scorer Eirkrem is replaced by Brynhildsen
James is also on for Omijuanfo.

    69. Saka is picked out on the overlap, on the left, and pulls it back to Pepe who meets the ball at the top of the box.
There’s one touch before Pepe pulls the trigger with his left foot to fire the ball hard and low into the bottom left corner.
Linde is left blindsided by the shot that sees Pepe bag his fourth goal European goal.

“We were good enough to win, we had the game under control from the beginning, the first half was a solid performance. Second half we gave the opportunity for them to score a goal, slow defensive transition, not complete commitment in the moment the ball was lost but after that again a positive reaction to score a goal that gave us a comfortable result and three points that we need.”

    LUDOGORETS 1- TOTTENHAM 3
Spurs were on top from the whistle, pushing the home side back and limiting them to no real chances, they took the lead in the 13th minute after Kane headed in from Lucas’ corner to give the away side a deserved lead.
They doubled their lead in the 32nd minute, Kane peeled away to the right hand side and slid a cross into the path of Lucas for a tap in.
Spurs were in complete control in the first half, the home side have been sloppy in possession and lacked any kind of cutting edge or attacking intent.
The home side struck back just after half time a deflected shot looped up into the air and fell to Keseru, who fired past Joe Hart with a fine volley from inside the box.
Spurs made the game safe in the 62nd minute when literally seconds after coming on as a substitute Son cut the ball back inside the box for Lo Celso to tap in.
Spurs were comfortable for the rest of the game, Ludogorets lacked a cutting edge all night and the goal to get them back in it was rather fortunate.
A great night for Spurs, Kane’s goal was his 200th for the club in just his 300th appearance.
