    ROUND 5
Joshua trying to get back on his jab but Pulev is still in this fight. It’s important AJ looks to set his shots up again, rather than rush in.
The Brit barely looks like he’s broken a sweat in there, Pulev much the opposite.
The longer this goes the more Pulev should feel the heat, but Joshua has slowed himself since that third round.
Joshua lands a nice right hand and tried to follow up with an uppercut that just grazes past him. AJ looks desperate to make a statement here tonight.
Pulev lands a nice right hand in the final 30 seconds of the fight.

    ROUND 4
Joshua begins the round with a smile on his face. He knows Pulev is there for the taking.
Pulev looks like he has recovered in there, somewhat, however.
Joshua still looks very assured in there but he didn’t land the massive blows he did during the third round of the fight.
No dramatics like the third there…

    ROUND 3
More feinting to begin the third round, Joshua looks very assured in there and more confident than he did in the Ruiz Jr rematch.
Pulev tries a clubbing right hand around the back but AJ dismisses it and comes forward with more jabs, before planting a nice right hand in the Bulgarian’s face.
Pulev attempts a left hook but misses and AJ goes to town with a huge attack!AJ lands a beautiful right hand and Pulev goes down before Joshua starts his attack again and floors the Bulgarian again!
    WOW!

    ROUND 3
    PULEV GOES DOWN!!!!!

    ROUND 2
Pulev pushing the pace, he’s the man coming forward while Joshua continues to pick his shots from the back foot.
He does land a nice combo but Pulev looks at AJ and smiles – he liked that one apparently.
AJ will grow in confidence as the rounds wear on, he continues to throw his jab out and gets into the body.
Pulev trying to pressure AJ with his presence but Joshua controlling the fight well from the outside.
Nice pair of jabs from AJ to close the round. 2-0 to the champ in London.

    ROUND 1
Both guys pretty tentative to kick things off as Joshua seeks some range in the middle of the ring.
Pulev throws his jab out there first but Joshua’s jab is an excellent one as well.
Both men switched on in the ring you can see, pair of them trying to find a way in on each other. Fans are in raucous voice at Wembley Arena for this one.
Joshua lands a nice jab in the last minute of the round but a very cagey opening from AJ and his opponent Pulev.
Round 1 to AJ… just? Pulev does land a nice left hook to close the round, however.

Everton 1 Chelsea 0 LIVE REACTION: Frank Lampard’s side put in abject performance at Goodison Park – latest updates

CHELSEA squandered the chance to go top of the league thanks to a 1-0 defeat at Goodison Park in the Premier League.
The Blues lacked creativity throughout and went 1-0 down early in the first half through a Gylfi Sigurdsson penalty.
    RESULT: Everton 1-0 Chelsea
    TV/Live stream: BT Sport 1
Everton XI: Pickford, Holgate, Keane, Mina, Godfrey, Iwobi, Allan, Sigurdsson, Doucoure, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin
Chelsea XI: Mendy, James, Thiago Silva, Zouma, Chilwell, Kovacic, Kante, Mount, Havertz, Giroud, Werner

Follow ALL the action with our live blog below…

    GOODNIGHT FROM GOODISON PARK
It’s a grand old team to play for – and they’re not bad to watch either.
Everton welcomed 2,000 supporters back inside Goodison Park for the first time in nine months and they were rewarded for their patience with a hard-fought win.
In doing so, the Toffees ended Chelsea’s 17-match unbeaten run and helped improve their own form with a first home success since October 3rd.
The only goal of the game was scored from the penalty spot by Gylfi Sigurdsson, restored to the side in the absence of James Rodriguez and named captain for the evening.
The Icelandic international was ice cool from 12 yards, and a standout performer in the home side’s midfield throughout, earning praise from his manager both before and after the contest.
The result lifts Everton back up to seventh in the Premier League, and within one point of the Champions League places.
For Chelsea, it was a missed opportunity to go temporarily top.
More disappointing for Frank Lampard, however, was the manner in which his team crumbled under the challenge on Merseyside.
The Blues lacked any real creativity, and failed to register a shot on target in the second half despite having three stellar strikers on the pitch.
It led the Blues manager to write off his squad as genuine title contenders this season, but promised that his side would learn from this. What we’ve learnt is that football is so much better with fans in attendance, no matter how few.
There’s another feast of Premier League football to come tomorrow so be sure to join us. Until then, thank you for reading and goodnight.

    ANCELOTTI REACTION
Carlo Ancelotti has sung the praises of both his players and the 2,000 Everton supporters inside Goodison Park this evening.
“I’m really pleased to win in front of our supporters. There were only 2,000 but they’ve have seen a fantastic match.

The supporters impact was really strong, we were really pleased. It is really important to have their support and it is a totally different environment with them here.
    Carlo Ancelotti

“Defensively we did really well. There was a fantastic force from our midfielders, Allan, Doucoure, Sigurdsson. The team sacrificed and that was the target. Against top teams like Chelsea, you have to sacrifice.
“We were dangerous on the counter-attack, we didn’t concede many opportunities and I think we deserved to win.

    TRIBUTES TO THE TWO THOUSAND
A fortnight ago, Everton may not have seen that game out for three points.
Tonight, helped on by 2,000 fortunate fans, the home side were roared to victory when up against it in the final stages.

    LAMPARD DOWNHEARTED
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has confirmed that his players are gutted after their unbeaten run came to an end on Merseyside, believing their poor start played right into Everton’s hands..”It’s wasn’t our best performance, the first 20 minutes were key and I could see it coming.

When you go 1-0 down against them, it absolutely suits their gameplan which is to make things difficult for us. They did it really well.
    Frank Lampard

“We didn’t have enough from then on. For our levels, we weren’t good enough. We didn’t show nearly enough of what we can do.
“[Edouard Mendy] has been outstanding since he got here so I’ll allow him that one error.”We didn’t pass this test but we will do in the future.”

    FAN-TASTIC
After nine months away, it’s hard not get emotional by scenes like these.

    GYLFI THE CREATOR
Back in the Everton side tonight due to James Rodriguez’s injury, Gylfi Sigurdsson took his opportunity with both hands.

    BLUES BLUNTED
Despite their attacking riches, Chelsea couldn’t find a way past Everton’s makeshift defence this evening.
The visitors failed to have a single shot on target in the second half, with their last effort on target coming in the 28th minute courtesy of Kurt Zouma.

    AUSSIE DELIGHT
One former Everton man was delighted to see home supporters back as his former club returned to winning ways.

Great to see the fans back at Goodison Park. Massive result for our @Everton 💙💙💙
    — TIM CAHILL (@Tim_Cahill) December 12, 2020

    FT: EVERTON 1-0 CHELSEA
Chelsea’s 17-match unbeaten run comes to end at a bouncing Goodison Park. Two-thousand lucky Everton fans were present to cheer their side on to victory following Gylfi Sigurddson’s first half penalty.

PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!IT’S ALL OVER AT GOODISON PARK!

    EVERTON 1-0 CHELSEA
90+5. One last punt forward from Mendy has Abraham on red alert, but excellent defending from Mina and Holgate relieve the pressure and get the ball to safety.
    That should be that.

    EVERTON 1-0 CHELSEA
90+2. Chelsea go long, but it’s ineffective.
The hit-and-hope punt forward evades all of Chelsea’s attackers and rolls through to Pickford.
The crowd cheer while Mina fist bumps his goalkeeper. The home side think they’ve got this won.

    EVERTON 1-0 CHELSEA
    90. Chilwell wins a corner than Mount whips into the area.
Chelsea have the box packed, but it’s Pickford who is first to the ball, punching well clear.
There are five minutes of added time to be played, and Jonjoe Kenny is on for Richarlison.

    EVERTON 1-0 CHELSEA
    89. The home fans rise to roar their team on for the final minutes: “Everton! Everton!”
For the first time, the 2,000 sound like 40,000.

    EVERTON 1-0 CHELSEA
    87. Back-to-back Everton corners threaten Chelsea, but, more importantly from the home side’s perspective, keep play up that end of the pitch.
Keane is the only defender sent up for the set-pieces, and he certainly makes his presence felt before Andre Gomes fires a cross into the side netting.

    EVERTON 1-0 CHELSEA
    85. The home side run the clock down as they take their time over a free-kick.
They also make a second substitution with Tom Davies on for Alex Iwobi.

    EVERTON 1-0 CHELSEA
    82. One change apiece. Andre Gomes replaces Gylfi Sigurdsson, whose penalty still separates the sides.
For Chelsea, young Scot Billy Gilmour comes on for Mateo Kovacic.

    EVERTON 1-0 CHELSEA
    81. Post!
Mount tries a low curler around the wall, and looks on in disbelief as the ball cannons back off the base of the goal frame.
The shot was sent to Pickford’s side of the goal, but the keeper had taken a step to the right and would not have got back had the attempt been a couple of inches to the left.

    EVERTON 1-0 CHELSEA
    80. James wins a free-kick 20 yards from goal after beating Doucoure with another assertive run.
It brings the Everton player a yellow card, and presents Chelsea with a really good opportunity.

    EVERTON 1-0 CHELSEA
    79. Godfrey hasn’t put a foot wrong this evening, but he’s outsmarted there by Mount.
The Chelsea midfielder continues into the area, only to see his low cross cut out by the reliable Michael Keane.

    EVERTON 1-0 CHELSEA
    75. Werner goes chasing a pass down the right, but it’s a lost cause.
The German international striker has touched the ball just 27 times this evening.

    EVERTON 1-0 CHELSEA
    74. Now the visitors decide to test Everton with some aerial deliveries from out wide – but Everton stand firm.
First, Mina gets the better of Giroud, and then Godfrey stays calm under pressure from Abraham to see Kante’s cross out for a goalkick.

    EVERTON 1-0 CHELSEA
    71. It’s rare to see all three of Giroud, Werner and Abraham on the pitch together.
Chelsea will hope their presence will bring a change of impetus in attack; the Londoners haven’t had a shot on target in this second half.

    EVERTON 1-0 CHELSEA
    68. A first change from Chelsea sees Tammy Abraham replace Kai Havertz.
It’s a substitution that’s been on the cards since about the fifth minute.

    EVERTON 1-0 CHELSEA
    67. Brilliant from Iwobi!
The former Arsenal midfielder escapes down the right, and combines well with Holgate before tearing past Chilwell and into the area.
He looks up, considers his options and promptly sends a cross into the Gwladys Street stand.
    Awful from Iwobi!

Real Madrid 2 Atletico Madrid 0 LIVE REACTION: Los Blancos close gap on rivals at top of La Liga – latest updates

REAL MADRID closed the gap on fierce rivals Atletico Madrid at the top of the La Liga table with a 2-0 win in Spain’s capital.
Casemiro and Dani Carvajal were on the scoresheet for the home side in their deserved victory.
RESULT: Real Madrid 2-0 Atletico Madrid
    TV/Live stream: Premier Sports
Real Madrid XI: Courtois, Carvajal, Sergio Ramos, Varane, Kroos, Benzema, Modric, Casemiro, Vasquez, Vinicius Jr, Mendy
Atletico Madrid XI: Oblak, Trippier, Savic, Felipe, Hermoso, Carrasco, Koke, Herrera, Llorente, Surez Felix

Follow ALL the action with our live blog below…

    THAT’S ALL FROM MADRID
Real Madrid appear to be back in business following a dominant 2-0 win over rivals Atletico Madrid at the Alfredo di Stefano stadium.
Real were superior in every way throughout the match and opened the scoring after 15 minutes with a thunderous header by Casemiro.
Los Blancos made it two in the 63rd minute with an incredible shot by Dani Carvajal, which deflected on Jan Oblak’s back and went down as an own goal.
Zinedine Zidane’s men ended Atletico’s undefeated streak in La Liga and are firing up the league table.
Real are now third with only three points separating them from Diego Simeone’s team.
After beating Sevilla away and topping their Champions League group before tonight’s derby win, Real appear to be reinstating themselves as legitimate title contenders this season.
    Goodnight

    SIMEONE REACTION
Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone recognised Real Madrid’s dominance and admitted that improvements need to be made.
Simeone said: “I think we did not start the game well, they started better with the control of the game, they had more of the ball, being better positioned, we could not have the same possession like several other games.
“I take important things from the defeat, surely in the coach level I have to improve, they have been superior.
“We cannot tell something that was not seen.”

    GETTY IMAGES – GETTY

    CARVAJAL CELEBRATION
Dani Carvajal, whose thunderous shot was marked down as an own goal, insists tonight’s result was the perfect way to celebrate the birth of his child.
Carvajal said: “It has been a very difficult week for us.
“We played tonight against a tough Atlético side. We’ll keep going – there are lots of games.
“We’re doing well, its hard to know how the season will play out. It’s not your typical season with injuries etc. We were well on top tonight, pressed high, they had two chances.
“We’re still in a very early stage of the season, but it was important to win tonight and we have Athletic Club during the week.
“I had a new baby this week and there was no better way to celebrate the birth than the way I did!”

    NOT GIVING UP
Atletico Madrid captain Koke sent a defiant message following his team’s first league loss of the season.
The midfielder insists the campaign has only just begun and reminded the fans that Atletico are still top of the table.
Koke said: “The league season is long and we’re still top, we’ll go again.
“They have played better than us tonight especially in the first half and they are small margins that make the difference but we continue and go again.
“We almost drew the game. We’re not thinking about who is going to win the league, but just looking forward to the Copa del Rey coming up this week.”

    KROOS CONTROL
Toni Kroos put together an incredible and borderline historic performance in the Madrid derby.
Kroos completed 96.7 per cent of his passes, a return rate so impeccable it hasn’t been repeated in La Liga since 2006.
No wonder Real Madrid dominated against such incredible opposition…

    STILL UNDEFEATED
As mentioned earlier tonight, Atletico Madrid have been unable to beat Real Madrid in La Liga ever since February 2016.
Their latest defeat at the Alfredo di Stefano stadium marks their fourth loss in nine league matches throughout these last four years.
Real’s run continues, but can they keep it up?

    GETTY IMAGES – GETTY

    UNDEFEATED NO MORE
Atletico Madrid’s undefeated run in La Liga has come to an end.
Atletico started this match having won eight of their first 10 matches in the league.
But Real Madrid managed to end that streak and slow down their title challenge.
Real also became one of the few sides that managed to beat Jan Oblak, who had only conceded two goals before kick-off.

    GETTY IMAGES – GETTY

    MATCH STATS
Real Madrid dominated 56.5 per cent of possession as Atletico Madrid picked up the pace following a miserable first half.
As mentioned below, Atletico didn’t produce a single shot in the first 45 minutes but got five in the second half.
Real had a total of 11 shots, three on target, whereas Atleti only managed one shot on Thibaut Courtois’ goal.
A far more busy night for Jan Oblak who made two crucial saves.

    GETTY IMAGES – GETTY

FT: REAL MADRID 2-0 ATLETICO MADRID
Real Madrid pick up a huge victory in the Madrid derby thanks to a goal by Casemiro and an own-goal by Jan Oblak.
Casemiro opened the scoring after 15 minutes and a stunning shot by Dani Carvajal in the 63rd minute hit the back of Oblak.
Real dominated the game against a totally underwhelming Atletico side, which failed to worry former goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois throughout the encounter.
A major win for Los Blancos who seem to be turning the tide following a miserable start to the season.

    PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!
    THE FINAL WHISTLE GOES!

    REAL MADRID 2-0 ATLETICO MADRID
90+3 We can confirm that the second goal was an own-goal by Jan Oblak.
Shame for Dani Carvajal as his thunderous shot may be a goal-of-the-season candidate.
Shame for Jan Oblak as well…

    REAL MADRID 2-0 ATLETICO MADRID
90 Referee gives four minutes of extra time.
Real Madrid close to ending Atletico Madrid’s undefeated run in the league this season

    REAL MADRID 2-0 ATLETICO MADRID
    90 WHAT A CHANCE!
Real Madrid almost make it three with Lucas Vazquez.
Federico Valverde steals the ball from Atletico Madrid’s defence and passes it to Karim Benzema.
Benzema finds Lucas whose powerful shot is saved by Jan Oblak.

    REAL MADRID 2-0 ATLETICO MADRID
    87 SUBSTITUTION
Federico Valverde returns for Real Madrid as he takes Luka Modric’s place.
Modric was instrumental, as always, when it comes to this big win that could see Real turning the tide on their league campaign

    REAL MADRID 2-0 ATLETICO MADRID
    83 WHAT A CHANCE!
Atletico Madrid are not giving up as we approach full-time in Madrid.
Thomas Lemar, Atletico’s best player so far, produces a beautiful shot outside of the box.
However, Lemar’s shot is too high and doesn’t trouble Thibaut Courtois.

    REAL MADRID 2-0 ATLETICO MADRID
83 We’re close to full-time and it seems like Atletico Madrid are going to suffer their first La Liga loss of the season.
Real Madrid have been dominant throughout the Madrid derby with high pressing and exceptional passing.
But the match is not over yet…

    REAL MADRID 2-0 ATLETICO MADRID
    80 WHAT A CHANCE!
Renan Lodi produces a beautiful cross from the left flank for Saul Niguez.
Saul gets the header right in front of Thibaut Courtois, who catches the ball just in time.
That was Atletico’s best opportunity of the match

    REAL MADRID 2-0 ATLETICO MADRID
    78 SUBSTITUTION
Rodrygo comes in for Vinicius Junior whereas Dani Carvajal makes way for Marco Asencio.
Those were Zinedine Zidane’s first substitutions

    REAL MADRID 2-0 ATLETICO MADRID
75 Another shot by Atletico Madrid, the second of the night.
Saul Niguez produces a powerful strike outside of the box but doesn’t worry Thibaut Courtois.
Can Atletico produce a late comeback…?

    REAL MADRID 2-0 ATLETICO MADRID
    73 SUBSTITUTION
Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone makes his final substitution.
Geoffrey Kondogbia replaces Luis Suarez, who was also absent throughout the Madrid derby

    REAL MADRID 2-0 ATLETICO MADRID
71 If the goal stands for Dani Carvajal then that will be the right-back’s first goal of the season.
It would be a shame if it went down as an own-goal by Jan Oblak as Carvajal scored an absolute stunner.

    GETTY IMAGES – GETTY

    REAL MADRID 2-0 ATLETICO MADRID
    65 YELLOW CARD
And this is another yellow card for Atletico Madrid.
Mario Hermoso is the fourth player to get booked following a rough challenge.
It seems like a red card in the next few minutes is not totally out of the question…

    REAL MADRID 2-0 ATLETICO MADRID
63 Dani Carvajal doubles Real Madrid’s lead with a sensational strike outside of the box.
Carvajal chests the ball down and his powerful shot hits Jan Oblak’s post on the left before getting a deflection on the Slovenian goalkeeper’s back.
It seems like this is an own-goal by Oblak, we will keep you updated about it

    GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLL
    REAL MADRID DOUBLE THEIR LEAD!

    REAL MADRID 1-0 ATLETICO MADRID
    61 YELLOW CARD
    This is unbelievable….
Saul Niguez gets booked as well just a few seconds after coming in for Atletico Madrid.
Saul gets booked for apparently complaining to the referee.

    THAT’S A WRAP
So the most recent Manchester derby, is one that we will already be putting at the back of our minds.
We’ve witnessed some exciting 0-0 draws but this most definitely wasn’t one of them.
City managed to conjure up a few chances through Sterling and Jesus but as mentioned earlier, nothing clear cut.
The most exciting thing that happened was Rashford winning United a penalty but with the assistance of VAR, Chris Kavannah ruled it out correctly for offside.
You may think I am over exaggerating but honestly, there wasn’t anything else much to it.
Thank you for sticking with me people now go tune in to our Everton vs Chelsea blog. That is already sounding more exciting.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

    MATCH REPORT
Well that was disappointing. I expected so much more.

    PEP’S ANALYSIS
Some quote from the City manager as he praises the opposition and mentions that he is happy to settle for a point.
Pep Said “We didn’t lose, last season we lost. We had the chances when we could run and other parts in the game we struggled to create chances because they are so strong physically.
“The quality of this team is that can play. When they concede set pieces they are so strong and especially when you let them run.
“We were so solid in good terms. We created more chances than them to score.
“But the game was tight, respect for both sides and a good point for us.”

    ACCESS DENIED
It has now been 242 minutes since City recorded their last away goal.
    Worrying.

Man City have now failed to score in their last 242 minutes on the road in the PL, their longest wait for an away goal under Pep Guardiola. They last netted away from home on Halloween. 👻 pic.twitter.com/NMKY4XdNuE

    VAN DE BLEAK
Another game gone where summer signing Donny Van De Beek doesn’t even get on the pitch let alone being in the starting line-up.
    He must be getting frustrated.

    UPDATED STANDINGS
With the clubs sharing a point, United stay in 7th but City climb above Villa into 8th.

    OLE’S VIEWS
The United boss’s angle on how the game went and his opinion on their performance.
Solskjaer said “It’s a tight game, two good teams. I know we beat them a few times last season but those were different games, we counter attacked. Today was the most we’ve been in the game possession wise.
“They had a few big moments, David’s great save when it stands up there. Harry good block. So there’s two big chances they got and maybe a foot offside for Marcus wasn’t it?
“Tactically we knew they were going to give us some problems and I thought defensively we were excellent.
“Delighted with the defensive shape then again with the ball, we didn’t create as much as we wanted to.”
“In my time against City that is the best performance we’ve had. Not the best result but it’s the best performance.”

    MAN OF THE MATCH
On John Stones, take a look the stats what earned him the man of the match title.

    STONES SPEAKS
Man of the match John Stones discussing the game and what a clean sheet means to him.
Stones said “We both didn’t create many chances to be honest. Both very good defensively, another clean sheet for us. We’re a bit frustrated we’ve not come away with more but I think overall, we fought so well.
“I said it before the game that, you know, in a derby everything comes out. It’s never a nice match. Very rare that you get a big goal thriller but today we came away with a point and I think we’ll be pleased.
“It’s another step forward, it’s another chance for us to climb up the table and get more points. It’s a challenge for us and the same for them.
“I think we can take a lot away from that, in a derby game to not concede. To play how we did with the character and the drive right until the last few minutes.”

    NOT SO UNITED
Only Burnley and Sheffield United have scored less goal at home this season than the Red Devils.
Poor form in front of goal.

This is now the third PL home game that Man Utd have failed to score in this season, one more than the whole of last season (2).Only Sheffield United and Burnley (both 2) have netted fewer goals than Man Utd (3) at home this term. pic.twitter.com/6lidHHkMn6

    FULL TIME STATS
The statistics really does highlight how dull the derby was.

    HUGS AND SMILES
Stones and Maguire sharing a hug.. Not how I pictured the Manchester derby to end.

    LINEKER THAT’S CHEEKY!
    A very dull derby indeed.

Not the best Manchester derby I’ve seen. It was nearly dull enough to watch Strictly….alright I’m exaggerating. 😉

    PEEEEEEP!
    AND THAT’S THAT!
    A DEADLOCK DERBY!
FT MAN UTD 0-0 MAN CITY

    MAN UTD 0-0 MAN CITY
90+1. Hearts in United fans mouths as Jesus went one on one but for some reason decide not to have a shot.
Either way, it was eventually ruled offside so it wouldn’t of counted.

    MAN UTD 0-0 MAN CITY
    89. Fernandes again found himself in a good position but this time a little further out.
He tried to go for glory but similar to his earlier effort, it went wide of Ederson’s post.

    MAN UTD 0-0 MAN CITY
    87. CLOSE!
Bruno Fernandes found himself with half a yard on the edge of the City box attempted a swivel and shoot technique but it went just wide.
Will someone steal it at the death?

    MAN UTD 0-0 MAN CITY
    85. Potential counter attacking opportunity for Martial but the master of tactical fouls Fernandinho puts a stop to that.

    MAN UTD 0-0 MAN CITY
    83. With less than 10 minutes to go I am surprised that the likes of Foden and Bernardo Silva haven’t been introduced yet.
Shows what Pep thinks of this game.

    MAN UTD 0-0 MAN CITY
    80. So disappointing.
The Belgian hit it straight into the wall and United relieve the pressure.

    MAN UTD 0-0 MAN CITY
    78. Right, big chance for City as Jesus earns them a freekick right on the edge of the box.
The headlines are written for De Bruyne!

    MAN UTD 0-0 MAN CITY
    75. Terrific pass from Fernandes almost fell to Rashford but the touuch let the England international down.
It won’t go down as a chance but Rashford knows he should of done better.

    MAN UTD 0-0 MAN CITY
    71. Fresh legs for United as Martial comes on for Greenwood.
Can the Frenchman save the day?

    MAN UTD 0-0 MAN CITY
    69. The game is opening up a little bit.
It’s only taken just under 70 minutes but the intensity is starting to rise.
It’s got that feeling of the first goal wins it.

    MAN UTD 0-0 MAN CITY
    67. BIG CHANCE!
A Cancelo cross caused the United defence problems especially when the ball fell to the feet of De Bruyne
Thankfully for Ole, the Belgian’s effort was blocked

Man Utd vs Man City LIVE: Stream, TV channel, team news and kick-off time for derby – Premier League latest updates

MAN UTD welcome Pep Guardiola’s City across Manchester for the first derby of the new season.
United are still hurting after being knocked out of the Champions League in midweek, but have won the last two meetings between the sides.

Follow all the latest below with our live blog…

Paul Pogba and Manchester United were knocked out of the Champions League in the week
    What is the team news?
Strikers Edinson Cavani and Antony Martial are doubts for Man Utd after picking up knocks in the 3-1 win at West Ham last weekend.
Boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said before their defeat by RB Leipzig on Tuesday night that neither player’s injury is serious, but was enough to miss the Champions League fixture.
Solskjaer had said: “Edinson and Anthony only minor niggles, but won’t be making the trip [to Leipzig].”

How Man Utd could line-up for this weekend’s derby

    LAST TIME OUT
Goals in quick succession seems to be the reoccurring theme for Ole’s men because City also fell victims to it in the 2019/20 campaign.
A clumsy challenge in the box from Bernardo Silva with the assistance of VAR presented an in-form Rashford with the chance to fire United into the lead through a 23rd minute penalty which he expertly dispatched.
The Red Devil’s continued to exert pressure on that vulnerable City back line and it eventually paid off when Anthony Martial squeezed his shot past Ederson to double United’s lead.
This left the Etihad stunned as they had never witnessed their team 2-0 down since Pep took charge in 2016.
In the second half, the hosts began to get a grip on the game forcing United to defend deep in their half. They had appeals waved away and opportunities missed before an Otamendi 85th minute header put City back in contention to at least steal a point from their fierce rivals.
Unfortunately for Pep and his team, it wasn’t enough and to rub salt into the City wounds, that defeat left them 14 points off the pace set by Liverpool which ended up being too big of a gap to close.

    A COLD NIGHT IN MANCHESTER
I’m sure this game will warm up the city!

    GOOD AFTERNOON
Hello my SunSport family. Hope everyone is doing well and hasn’t over spent with Christmas around the corner.
Do you know what day it is today?
Yes it is Saturday but it’s also another derby day!
All eyes are on the city of Manchester this time as Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City travel to Old Trafford where they’ll be taking on the mighty Manchester United.
The visitors are going into this game off the back of some excellent form.
They swept aside their last Premier League opponents in Fulham with a 2-0 victory, and then followed it up by securing qualification to the round of 16 in the Champions League, with an emphatic 3-0 win against Marseille.
However, the red side of Manchester are currently licking their wounds.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men did manage to complete an impressive comeback in their previous Premier League outing against West Ham thanks to three goals in ten minutes, but they couldn’t replicate this on Tuesday.
A poor midweek performance in the Champions League against RB Leipzig resulted in them being knocked out of the competition where they will now have to challenge for the Europa League instead.
But as we all know, form goes completely out the window when it comes to a derby, so grab your snacks and stay tuned to watch how it all unfolds.
