    THAT’S ALL FROM KING POWER
Everton picked up an important 2-0 victory over a strong Leicester side at King Power Stadium.
To recap, the Toffees opened the scoring in the 21st minute with a little unintentional help from Kasper Schmeichel.
Schmeichel failed to hold on to the ball following a beautiful shot from Richarlison.
However, the Leicester goalkeeper did his best to stop the Merseysiders from scoring another in the second half but was let down by his defence.
It was at the 72nd minute when Michael Keane picked up a header from a corner kick but was stopped by the Denmark international.
Schmeichel also blocked Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s shot but third time was the charm for Everton as Mason Holgate sent the ball to the back of the net.
Leicester almost got a penalty in the closing minutes following a clumsy challenge between Andre Gomes and Ayoze Perez but VAR overruled the decision.
Thanks for sticking by tonight and have a wonderful night

    RODGERS ON THE PEN
Brendan Rodgers believes Leicester should have had a penalty in the second half.
Rodgers was referring to that challenge between Andre Gomes and Ayoze Perez in the Everton box.
The referee gave a penalty but his decision was overruled following a VAR evaluation.
Rodgers said: “I thought we should have had a penalty, I think it was clear within the game.
“I thought the referee made the right decision but somehow overturns it.
“We had a few other moments that were unfortunate but it’s a frustrating result for us because we felt that we could have done more and the goals were basic goals.”

    LOT OF HAPPINESS
Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti took to Twitter as well to celebrate tonight’s result.
Ancelotti is pleased with the performance but insists the Tofees have a long way to go

    AB-SOLUTE SUCCESS
Everton star and tonight’s man of the match Abdoulaye Doucoure took to Twitter after the win at King Power Stadium.
Doucoure praised the team spirit and performance against a strong Leicester side

    DOM-INATING
Dominic Calvert-Lewin didn’t hit the net against Leicester but that didn’t stop him from celebrating.

    MAN OF THE MATCH?
Abdoulaye Doucoure put together an incredible performance for Everton against Leicester.
Doucoure has been stellar with his duties in midfield and defence as he was the one that combined the two areas together.
The midfielder had the highest passing accuracy (87.8 per cent) than any of his team-mates and kept the likes of Jamie Vardy and James Maddison at bay throughout the encounter.
Most impressive, though, is that he held it together despite losing Allan in midfield due to injury in the first half

    GETTY IMAGES – GETTY

    GUARDIAN ANCEL
Carlo Ancelotti makes it four wins in four matches against Brendan Rodgers.
We mentioned how the two managers have faced off three times in the past with Ancelotti winning twice while in charge of Real Madrid when he took on Rodgers’ Liverpool in the 2014/15 Champions League.
The Everton boss also prevailed in July when the Merseysiders beat Leicester 2-1 at Goodison Park.
    The hoodoo continues for Rodgers…

    GETTY IMAGES – GETTY

    STATS
Leicester dominated 60.8 per cent of possession but still couldn’t break Everton’s backline.
The Foxes’ 14 shots, two on target, never worried the Toffees who completed a total of 11 shots, 6 on target.
It was pretty even when it came to defence as both teams got a 50 per cent success rate in aerial duels and close to a 50/50 return on tackles.
Everton’s defensive tactics paid dividends as they closed all spaces for their opponents

    FT: LEICESTER 0-2 EVERTON
Everton pick up an incredible win at King Power Stadium which gets them closer to the Premier League top four.
The Toffees opened the scoring after 21 minutes thanks to a gaffe by Kasper Schmeichel, who failed to hold on to the ball following Richarlison’s beautiful shot.
The Merseysiders doubled their lead in the 72nd minute with Mason Holgate who picked up the ball following two incedible saves by Schmeichel who denied Micheal Keane and Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the build-up.
Leicester came close to a goal when the referee gave a penalty after a challenge between Andre Gomes and Ayoze Perez but VAR overruled his decision

    PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!
    THE FINAL WHISTLE GOES!

    90+2 SUBSTITUTION
Jonjoe Kenny comes in for Alex Iwobi.
The youngsters are getting a shot from Carlo Ancelotti

    LEICESTER 0-2 EVERTON
    89 SUBSTITUTION
Dominic Calvert-Lewin makes way for the young Anthony Gordon.
Meanwhile, referee gives four minutes of stoppage time

    LEICESTER 0-2 EVERTON
    89 Was it a penalty?
Have a look and let us know in the comments’ section

    LEICESTER 0-2 EVERTON
89 LEICESTER GOAL OVERRULED FOR OFFSIDE
Jamie Vardy gets the header from a corner kick and the ball goes to Ayoze Perez.
Perez sends it to the back of the net but was found offside

    LEICESTER 0-2 EVERTON
86 Mason Holgate is going to remember this night for the rest of his life.
Couldn’t come at a better time for the defender

    LEICESTER 0-2 EVERTON
Referee overrules his previous decision after checking in with VAR.
    No penalty for Leicester then.
Looking back it seemed like a soft challenge as it doesn’t really look like there is much contact between Andre Gomes and Ayoze Perez

    LEICESTER 0-2 EVERTON
Referee goes to the monitors to check it out.
This seems like a very close call…

    LEICESTER 0-2 EVERTON
83 Andre Gomes appears to have brought Ayoze Perez down with a flick from behind.
    VAR are checking it out

    LEICESTER 0-2 EVERTON
    83 PENALTY FOR LEICESTER

    LEICESTER 0-2 EVERTON
80 Ten minutes to go at King Power Stadium and Everton are close to a big win.
Kasper Schmeichel was at fault in the first goal but couldn’t do anything more in the second.
Schmeichel made two amazing saves but was let down by his defence and Mason Holgate got the goal.

    GETTY IMAGES – GETTY

    LEICESTER 0-2 EVERTON
    78 CHANCE
Everton come close to a third goal with Gylfi Sigurdsson.
Alex Iwobi runs past James Justin on the left and fires a pass to Sigurdsson.
But the Everton captain gets a clumsy touch and sends the ball wide off the mark

    LEICESTER 0-2 EVERTON
    SUBSTITUTION
Kelechi Iheanacho comes on for Nempalys Mendy.
Iheanacho loves scoring against Everton but is there enough time?

    LEICESTER 0-2 EVERTON
76 And this is how Mason Holgate doubled Everton’s lead.
Leicester’s defence were at fault there with so many players unmarked

    LEICESTER 0-2 EVERTON
72 That may have sealed it for Everton!
Micheal Keane picks up a thunderous header from a corner kick but Kasper Schmeichel saves.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin strikes but Schmeichel saves again and sends the ball to the top post.
But the Leicester keeper isn’t as fortunate with Mason Holgate’ close-range shot and it is 2-0 for Everton!

    GOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLLLLL
    EVERTON MAKE IT TWO!

    SAINTS STATS
Southampton will be happy with that.

Man City 1 West Brom 1 LIVE REACTION: Ruben Dias’ own-goal hands Baggies priceless point as Pep’s men falter again

MANCHESTER CITY were held at home by a battling West Brom as the Baggies picked up a priceless away point at the Etihad.
Final score: Man City 1-1 West Brom
Follow all the reaction with our live blog below…

    THAT’S ALL FROM MANCHESTER
Manchester City were left frustrated by a passionate West Brom in a 1-1 draw at the Etihad.
City struggled at times to break the Baggies’ defence as they were defending deep throughout the match.
Ilkay Gundogan opened the scoring after 30 minutes with a wonderful finish following a beautiful pass by Raheem Sterling.
The Citizens looked set to go back to the dressing room with the lead but disaster struck as West Brom equalised when Semi Ajayi’s shot deflected on Ruben Dias and ended up behind Ederson’s net two minutes before half-time.
City had plenty of chances to win the game in the second half with Gundogan, Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero but were all denied by an incredible Sam Johnstone.
Johnstone made six important saves and gave West Brom a golden point that could pay dividends in their bid to avoid relegation.
    Goodnight

    BIL SMILE
West Brom manager Slaven Bilic praised his players for this important result.
Bilic also named Sam Johnstone as a major factor behind that draw as he described him as a “big asset”
The West Brom boss said: “I’m really proud of the boys.
“Before the game we asked them to believe, to work hard for each other, to try to frustrate City and wait for our chance to penetrate and create chances- and we did everything.
“We defended as a unit, individually, and we also counted on Sam Johnstone who is our big asset, but that is what you need if you are to come to the Etihad and get anything out of the game.
“We’ve played some really good stuff against the big teams – Chelsea, Tottenham Manchester United – but were disappointed coming away empty handed. It was important today not only to put in a good performance but to be rewarded with a point.”

    PEP TALK
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola identified goals as the one thing that was missing from his team tonight against West Brom.
But a frustrated Guardiola also admitted that his team couldn’t afford to drop points against the Baggies.
The City manager said: “[The only thing missing was] scoring goals, we created enough to win the game, we did everything but, in the end, you have to put the ball in, and we are struggling.
“If you want to be there [at the top of the league], no disrespect to West Brom, you have to win these games. Sometimes you drop points fairly but the other ones you have to win games to be there.
“The top of the league is not far away but you have to win games at home against West Brom if you are to be there at the end.
“We are in early December and there are a lot of games to play. We have to continue. This situation is weird for everyone.
“In the end we played to win the game, we deserved to win the game, but we didn’t win it. Football is judged on the end result.”

    NOT GUND ENOUGH
Ilkay Gundogan is adamant that Manchester City deserved better but also knows his team-mates have to put tonight’s result behind them despite the fixture congestion..
Gundogan said: “I think we deserved better.
“It is disappointing for us to get just one point. These kind of games we need to win. This why we are not happy.
“We’ve had great years and played great football in the past, so obviously we have set the level quite high. The expectations only go up.
“All over Europe, all of the big teams are struggling with the tight [schedule of] fixtures. We are human beings, we are not machines or robots.
“We cannot complain, we need to look forward.”

    SAINT JOHN
Sam Johnstone put together a man-of-the-match performance but insists it was a team effort and sang Slaven Bilic’s praises.
Johnstone said: “The boys dug in, we fought for 94 minutes.
“The lads ran their socks off and I was there to make a few saves when it was needed. The free-kick, that was a good save because it was quick and there were a few bodies [in front of me].
“Their quality is unbelievable so it’s just about trying to get into good positions early. The lads fought hard and I didn’t want to let them down. This is a massive result. We fought, we headed, we tackled.
“The manager is great. We all fight for him, for each other, for the club. The boys love him.
“We knew getting promoted, it would be tough. If we keep playing like that, hopefully luck goes our way.”

    WILD BIL
Tonight marked Slaven Bilic’s 100th Premier League game as manager.
Bilic took West Brom back to the top flight but also spent two years at West Ham.
And what better way to mark such a special occasion than getting a result at the Etihad?
That game might prove to be critical in the Baggies’ relegation battle

    GETTY IMAGES – GETTY

    MADE OF STON
West Brom goalkeeper Sam Johnstone stood out against Manchester City with six incredible saves.
Johnstone denied Raheem Sterling and Ilkay Gundogan who picked up a header at a very close range.
The ex-Manchester United man also blocked an incredible free-kick by Kevin De Bruyne.
It is hard to imagine West Brom picking up a point at the Etihad without their goalkeeper in such amazing form

    GETTY IMAGES – GETTY

    STAT’S UNBELIEVABLE
West Brom only had 23.1 per cent of possession and just one shot on target throughout the match.
Manchester City, on the other hand, recorded a whopping 26 shots, seven on target, and still couldn’t beat West Brom.
The Baggies owe a lot to Sam Johnstone who was on fire at the Etihad with six important saves

    GETTY IMAGES – GETTY

    SAM-THING SPECIAL
Tim Sherwood insists West Brom deserved a result with the way they defended.
Sherwood also praised Sam Johnstone who has to be man of the match.
The ex-Tottenham boss said: “They deserve it! The goalkeeper certainly deserves it!”

FT: MANCHESTER CITY 1-1 WEST BROM
A disappointing result for Manchester City who drop two points at home against Premier League strugglers West Brom.
But what an amazing outcome for the Baggies who pick up a priceless point that will boost their hopes of climbing out of the relegation zone.
City opened the scoring after 30 minutes with a beautiful finish by Ilkay Gundogan.
But West Brom equalised two minutes before half-time when Semi Ajayi’s weak shot deflected on Ruben Dias and went to the back of Ederson’s net

    90+3 WHAT A CHANCE!

    MANCHESTER CITY 1-1 WEST BROM
90 Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is protesting at fourth official Anthony Taylor who signals for another four minutes of stoppage time.
Guardiola was lucky not to get booked there…

    MANCHESTER CITY 1-1 WEST BROM
    88 WHAT A CHANCE!
Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling outnumber West Brom’s defence in a counter-attack.
Aguero finds some space from a good position and fires a shot which goes wide

    MANCHESTER CITY 1-1 WEST BROM

De Bruyne fires a powerful shot but Sam Johnstone blocks it with a wonderful save in his lower angle.
That was a beautiful shot and a magnificent save

    MANCHESTER CITY 1-1 WEST BROM
That’s basically been the mood at Manchester City throughout the second half.
City can’t find any space or ideas on how to beat West Brom, who are playing deep.
Slaven Bilic wants to protect the result, which would indeed be a major outcome for the visitors

    GETTY IMAGES – GETTY

    MANCHESTER CITY 1-1 WEST BROM
81 Another bad ball from Joao Cancelo in the closing minutes.
Cancelo tries to play the ball on the flanks but sends it out for a free kick.

Jake Livermore makes way for Filip Krovinovic in the last 10 minutes.
    Can West Brom hold on?

    MANCHESTER CITY 1-1 WEST BROM
Gabriel Jesus picked up a nasty knock during the second half which led to him busting his lip.
But thankfully Jesus was able to continue after receiving treatment

    GETTY IMAGES – GETTY

    MANCHESTER CITY 1-1 WEST BROM
77 As mentioned earlier, Sergio Aguero loves scoring against West Brom.
Aguero has scored a whopping eight goals in a total of 11 Premier League matches against the Baggies.
In fact, the Argentina international has been involved in a total of 14 goals as he also produced six assists.

    MANCHESTER CITY 1-1 WEST BROM
    75 SUBSTITUTION
As predicted, Sergio Aguero takes Phil Foden’s place and Kyle Walker replaces Benjamin Mendy.

    MANCHESTER CITY 1-1 WEST BROM
73 Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has been heard yelling: “Sergio, Sergio!”
That can mean only one thing, and that is that Sergio Aguero is coming in against a team he loves to score…

Wolves 2 Chelsea 1 LIVE REACTION: Pedro Neto stuns Blues with late winner as Lampard’s men beaten at Molineux

PEDRO NETO netted in stoppage time to stun Chelsea at Molineux after the Blues had led through Olivier Giroud.
    Final score: Wolves 2-1 Chelsea
Follow all the latest from Molineux with our live blog below…

    THAT’S A WRAP
Thanks for joining us this evening, don’t forget to take a look at the match report courtesy David Kidd.
There’s also a blog underway for the Man City v West Brom clash.

    NUNO SPEAKS
Speaking on Amazon, Nuno Espirito Santo says: “We reacted well [to going one goal down] we moved the game well and were always in it.
“We were well organised and I thought we played really well in the second half.”I think the first half, the game was very tight, Chelsea had the ball, but we were organised and created problems from set-pieces.
“We didn’t start the second half well either, we must analyse it. But, after that, the boys believed that the game was there to be competitive and they did well.”

    COMPLACENT CHELSEA?
After the game, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard was disappointed with the performance he saw from his side.
He says: “At 1-0 we should see the game out.
“We weren’t playing that well tonight, so we should have hung onto 1-0, control the game and control the counter attacks, which we didn’t do.”
When asked if his side got complacent with their long unbeaten run, he added: “We were playing very well, with a long unbeaten run, but maybe the lads thought we were playing well- when you think you’re playing well these things can happen.
“The players will need to think about their performance during the next few days, this is the Premier League, we need to do better.”

    FALING SHORT
N’Golo Kanté says: “We are all disappointed- after the last loss, we wanted to have a win here.
“The first half was not great for us, to finish the game conceding like that is a big disappointment.
“Even if we are not playing great, we were one goal ahead, so we could have managed the difference.
“We conceded too many counter attacks today.
“The most important is to get back to winning ways, against West Ham at home next.

    NETO SPEAKS
Pedro Neto says: “We wanted to win so much, we worked so hard and really deserved that win.
“It’s very difficult to go a goal down, they’re a good team, but in the locker room we spoke about getting together and going as a team and that’s what we’ve done- we’re very happy.
“We know that we can win the game in the first minute and last minute- we worked very hard for the whole game and did well.”

    HERE’S THE WINNER!

    FT: WOLVES 2-1 CHELSEA

    WOLVES 2-1 CHELSEA
    96. Neto’s the last man on the ball, racing towards the Chelsea box, he tries to have one final shot from a tight angle on the right but it flies out the other side of the box.

    WOLVES 2-1 CHELSEA
    96. Last chance saloon for Chelsea, as even Mendy is up in the box for Chilwell’s corner.
His first corner is cleared at the near post, but his second makes it into the central area as Boly and Zouma compete for the ball.

    WOLVES 2-1 CHELSEA
    94. Wolves counter quickly and Neto is picked out, deep in Chelsea’s half.
Neto faces Zuma one-on-one and breaks into the box on the left, Zouma struggles to deal with the drop of the shoulder and shift of pace.
It’s a brilliant finish as Neto drills the ball into the bottom corner.

    GOOOAL
NETO WINS IT FOR WOLVES! WHAT A DRAMATIC ENDING

    WOLVES 1-1 CHELSEA
    93. Semedo is booked for a clumsy challenge on Pulisic, he grabs him by the shoulder and clips his ankle at the same time.

    WOLVES 1-1 CHELSEA
    90. Five additional minutes at Molineux.
But Boly is down, clutching his hamstring, just as Wolves have made their last substitution.

    WOLVES 1-1 CHELSEA
    89. Podence, after an impressive performance, is replaced by Vitinha.

    WOLVES 1-1 CHELSEA
    88. Coady gifts Chelsea a free-kick, is there going to be one more goal this evening?
Not by the looks of Chilwell’s swing into the box, from the left.
He lazily appears to attempt to send it into the box, after Werner played the corner to him, but it’s sent into the empty stand.

    WOLVES 1-1 CHELSEA
    87. Neves is given a talking to by the ref after bringing down Kovacic from behind.

    WOLVES 1-1 CHELSEA
Here’s Kante indulging in a spot of netball…

    WOLVES 1-1 CHELSEA
    85. Kante is shown a yellow for bringing Podence ot the ground- seemed to be the only way to stop the speedy Wolves man.

    WOLVES 1-1 CHELSEA
    83. Chelsea have a chance, but Abraham can’t get on the end of a deflected shot- he’s literally dead-centre in the six-yard box, but he can’t quite get his outstretched leg to the ball.

    WOLVES 1-1 CHELSEA
    82. VAR check complete, no penalty!
Neto is horrified, but there are cheers from the Chelsea technical area.
In fairness to James, he didn’t make any contact. Neto, technically, should be booked for diving.

    WOLVES 1-1 CHELSEA
    80. Kante is chasing Neto down, but it’s James who comes in from the left to disposses him.
Having looked at the VAR replay, there’s little contact made- we’re all waiting for the ref to look at the monitor…

    WOLVES 1-1 CHELSEA
    80. IT’S A PEN TO WOLVES!!!

    WOLVES 1-1 CHELSEA
    78. Traore finds Semedo steaming into the area but instead of having a shot, which looks like a better option, he looks for a cut back.

    WOLVES 1-1 CHELSEA
    77. It’s now an end-to-end game here at Molineux.

    WOLVES 1-1 CHELSEA
    75. Chilwell, Podence and Somedo seem to be involved in a set-to on the touchline.
Podence tries to pinch the ball off Chilwell, as he tries to play the throw-in quickly, but Chilwell doesn’t release it- instead he pushes the Wolves man.

    WILD CARD
Anthony Joshua will fight Oleksandr Usyk if Tyson Fury has to fight Deontay Wilder first.
Promoter Eddie Hearn told Sky Sports: “[Bob Arum] tells us Fury is contractually free to take any fight he wants.
“I do believe Wilder is appealing in US courts, but we don’t expect that to be a problem.
“If Fury can’t fight Joshua, AJ will fight Usyk.”

    BATTLE OF BRITAIN
Anthony Joshua  is set to fight Tyson Fury in May 2021 following positive talks between promoters Eddie Hearn and Bob Arum.
Hearn told Sky Sports: “I had a good chat with [Bob Arum] him last night. It’s positive.
“I think we’re all in the same position. We want to move forward with the fight, quickly as well, which is good news for fans.
“Just trying to solve any remaining issues of the fight, of which there aren’t many, to be honest with you, and try and move forward collectively to let the governing bodies know that we plan to stage this fight probably in May, and we would like this to be for the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world.
“A few small issues to iron out, but I think we can start look at drawing up contracts and try to get this moving.
“Here on both sides, every member of each team wants to do this fight. We all acknowledge this is the biggest fight in boxing, this is the best fight for both guys.
“This is for the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world. Why are you in the sport, if you don’t want this fight?”

    ICYMI – WILD AT HEART
Eddie Hearn has admitted that Deontay Wilder could still stand in the way of a unification bout between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.
He said: “The only hitch I can think of is Wilder. If the court orders the Fury rematch, and it doesn’t sound as though they will, then it is out of our hands.
“That is the only way it falls through is if something stops their side, that isn’t me saying they don’t want it, they do, but if the court orders it then we will have to fight Usyk.”

    ICYMI – FURY-OUS
Tyson Fury took his battle to be removed from Sports Personality of the Year contention to the next level yesterday, as he revealed that he had gotten his legal representatives involved.
He told Good Morning Britain: “I’ve asked nicely to be taken off the list and they’ve decided they weren’t going to take me off the list.
“So I’ve had my lawyer send them a letter demanding that I be taken off the list so let’s hope they listen and get me off that list.”

    BATTLE OF BRITAIN
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Tyson Fury in May 2021 following positive talks between promoters Eddie Hearn and Bob Arum.
AJ defended his WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO titles with a ninth-round KO against Kubrat Pulev to set up an undisputed bout vs WBC champ Fury.
Joshua’s promoter Hearn is now attempting to finalise a two-fight deal with the Gypsy King’s US rep Arum – with the rematch to take place in late 2021.
He told Sky Sports: “I had a good chat with [Bob Arum] him last night. It’s positive.
“I think we’re all in the same position. We want to move forward with the fight, quickly as well, which is good news for fans.

    PLAYING THE GAME
Anthony Joshua has rubbed his win over Kubrat Pulev in on social media.
The Brit wrote: “Came game. Just gamer.”

    TAILORED SUIT
Tyson Fury has reiterated his belief that Anthony Joshua is ‘tailor-made’ for him as an opponent.
He told Good Morning Britain: “I’m not just saying it because he’s going to be a rival of mine, he’s going to be one of my opponents.
“I’ve always said for a long time that I do believe that Anthony Joshua is tailor-made for someone like my style.
“I think it’s going to be one of the most explosive, quickest fights you are going to see. I’m aiming to take him out inside four rounds.”

    ‘WHAT WE WANT’
Anthony Joshua has lashed out at Tyson Fury after his rival’s comments on Saturday night, saying: “It’s good I can get him in the ring.”
AJ, 31, put in an impressive display to KO Kubrat Pulev in the ninth round of their Wembley Arena showdown at the weekend.
But despite AJ’s impressive showing on Saturday, Fury suggested he ‘s*** himself’.
Joshua told BBC 5 Live Sport: “That’s good to hear.
“At least I can get him in the ring… that’s all we want, right?
“So, he’s on the right track.”

    MANNY KEEN
Manny Pacquiao has declared his intention to fight TWICE next year at the age of 42.
The WBA welterweight champion celebrates the milestone birthday on Thursday.
Pacquiao is yet to fight since beating Keith Thurman in Las Vegas 18 months ago.
The coronavirus pandemic has seen him focus his intentions solely as a Senator in his homeland of the Philippines.
But Pacquiao, who boasts a 62-7 record, is planning to have two fights next year as he eyes a return to training after upcoming political sessions in March.
He told the Daily Tribute: “We still have sessions in March so there’s no way I am going to fight during that time. I think I can do two fights next year.”

    ANT NOBODY BETTER
Anthony Joshua’s trainer Rob McCracken believes that his fighter is ‘still developing’.
He said: “I would think they would definitely fight and probably fight at least twice next year, that’s what everybody wants to happen.
“Big Josh has had 10 or 11 world title fights and is still developing and winning. He’s getting better all the time.”

    HEARN-EST ASSESSMENT
Eddie Hearn has admitted the importance of getting Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua on while the pair are in their primes.
He said: “It is an undisputed fight, it should be the toughest fight out there, but I’ve always fancied him to beat Tyson Fury, always.
“But Fury is definitely at the peak of his powers and so is AJ which actually is why it is so great if we get it made because you saw with Floyd [Mayweather] and [Manny] Pacquiao, it was rubbish.”

    WILD AT HEART
Eddie Hearn has admitted that Deontay Wilder could still stand in the way of a unification bout between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.
He said: “The only hitch I can think of is Wilder. If the court orders the Fury rematch, and it doesn’t sound as though they will, then it is out of our hands.

    NICE LITTLE HEARNER
Matchroom Boxing chief Eddie Hearn, 41, has claimed that talks over Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury’s 2021 unification bout could take just ‘a couple of days’.
Asked about the length of negotiations, he said: “A couple of days.
“We need to write to the governing bodies and say yes we have a deal and we will now talk to the various sites and confirm the dates shortly for what I suppose will be the end of May.”

    FOR PETE’S SAKE
Anthony Joshua could knock out Tyson Fury, according to the Gypsy King’s uncle and former trainer Peter.
Peter Fury was in attendance on Saturday night as his son Hughie beat Mariusz Wach on the AJ vs Kubrat Pulev undercard.
Asked for his thoughts on the unification bout between Joshua and his nephew, Peter said: “Be a great fight.
“Both up for it, aren’t they. So it’ll be a great fight if it happens. Both have different styles though, Tyson is a totally different style to Pulev.
“It would be a great fight. Those shots [AJ landed tonight] wouldn’t be landing on Tyson so clean. He’s an exceptional talent but if AJ can land, anyone is going down.
“But the same for Tyson – he’s a puncher as well. So it works both ways. It’s a pick’em fight to be honest.”

    BRITISH BEEF
The heavyweight division finally looks set to be unified after Anthony Joshua beat Kubrat Pulev to line up a Battle of Britain clash with Tyson Fury.
The all-British showdown is one fans have longed to see for years.
With both men boasting power and sharp jabs, SunSport takes a look at how they compare.

    LIGHTS OUT
Take another look at how Anthony Joshua dispatched Kubrat Pulev on Saturday night.

    FUR SURE
Daniel Dubois tipped Tyson Fury to beat Anthony Joshua – having sparred both the heavyweight champions.
Fury, 32, and Joshua, 31, have verbally agreed a two-fight deal for 2021, as they eye an undisputed title decider.
He told SPORTbible: “Fury at the moment. His skill and his know-how, coupled with his confidence should beat Joshua.
“But it will be a really good fight. I wouldn’t be surprised if it went the other way and Joshua won.”

    ANT THE MAN
Tyson Fury’s former trainer Ben Davison was full of praise for Anthony Joshua after his win over Kubrat Pulev.
He told iFL TV: “I’ve always ranked Joshua that little bit lower than the rest of the competitors because he was a little bit one-dimensional.
“Now he’s starting to show versatility. That’s fantastic, and it’s great that he’s working on that. But Tyson’s extremely versatile and comfortable being versatile.
“He’s comfortably pressing the action and keeping it long. He’s comfortable pressing the action and making it short. He’s comfortable orthodox and southpaw.
“That’s a really hard thing to overcome because if something’s working for Joshua then Tyson can take that away.
“There will be moments in the fight where adjustments have to be made, and that’s why it’s become more of an intriguing fight now.
“There are layers to Anthony Joshua now that there weren’t before. I just think Tyson is more versatile and his non-punching activity rate is through the roof.”

    MAKING OF A CHAMPION
Anthony Joshua shared a series of incredible throwback pictures documenting his life from a troubled kid in Watford to heavyweight champion of the world.
The British star – who knocked out Kubrat Pulev on Saturday to line up a Battle of Britain clash with Tyson Fury – uploaded the images to his Instagram story.
The amazing snaps show Joshua, 31, in the gym as a youngster, working his way up the boxing ranks in small-hall amateur fights.
The pictures all shared a similar theme, showing Joshua working hard, “hustling”, working out “25/8” rather than “24/7” in his bid to become champion.
Elsewhere, Joshua can be seen sitting in a new car, purchased well before he was 2012 Olympic champion, proudly showing off his wheels in 2007.

    FURY ROAD
Eddie Hearn has hit back at Tyson Fury after the Gypsy King said Anthony Joshua had “s*** himself” on live TV after his fight against Kubrat Pulev.
Hearn jumped to the defence of his client, insisting AJ is not the sort of personality to scream and shout, as well as revealing his desire is to ensure the feuding pair meet in the ring.
Hearn retorted in an interview with iFLTV: “We’ll see who is s* themselves.
“Ultimately, AJ is not the kind of guy that’s going to scream and shout on TV and call people ‘Dossers’, that’s not his style.
“So we’ll let Tyson do that, we’ll sign the fight and get it done.”

    DILL ME IN
Dillian Whyte has once again stated he is ready to take on anyone in the heavyweight division.

    FAST AND FURYOUS
Tyson Fury is taking legal action to get himself removed from BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year shortlist.
He said:“I’ve asked nicely to be taken off the list and they’ve decided they weren’t going to take me off the list.
“So I’ve had my lawyer send them a letter demanding that I be taken off the list so let’s hope they listen and get me off that list.”
Before adding: “I don’t need any awards from any TV stations or organisations for me to know who I am.
“I know who I am, know what I’ve done, and I don’t need a big pat on the back and don’t need a glass trophy.
“No disrespect to anyone who wants it, but I see everyone clamouring to get on that list and I’m clamouring to get off it. I don’t need gratification from anybody.”

    KING’S ORDER
Tyson Fury has told Anthony Joshua to ‘grow a pair and sign the contract’ for their heavyweight unification bout.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain, he said: “I watched the fight and was very impressed with what he did and then it came to the end of the fight and they did the interview, the public wanted to hear that he would fight me and he avoided the question.
“It was a bit disappointing to be honest because it’s been such a long time building up over the years and he avoided the question like he didn’t want the fight so I had to get straight on social media and make everyone know I’m willing and ready to take the fight.
“Grow a pair and sign the contract big boy.”
Speculation has mounted that the duo had verbally agreed a two-fight deal worth around half a billion quid to get it on in 2021.

Arsenal 0 Burnley 1 LIVE REACTION: Aubameyang scores OWN GOAL as Gunners lose at home to Burnley – latest updates

ARSENAL suffered a damaging defeat to Burnley at home in the Premier League thanks to a late Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang own goal.
Granit Xhaka was also sent off as pressure further heaped itself on manager Mikel Arteta.
    RESULT: Arsenal 0-1 Burnley
    TV/Live stream: BT Sport 1
    Arsenal XI: To follow
    Burnley XI: To follow

Follow ALL the action with our live blog below…

    GOODNIGHT FROM THE EMIRATES
It’s become a familiar Sunday night feeling for Arsenal fans.
For the fourth consecutive home game, the Gunners have been defeated in the final game of the weekend to increase the pressure on Mikel Arteta.
After Leicester, Aston Villa and Wolves before them, this time it was Burnley who pitched up at the Emirates and left with three points – for the first time since 1974.
A game short on confidence and skill turned on a ridiculous sending off just before the hour mark.
Having fouled Dwight McNeil, Granit Xhaka took exception to the reaction of the Burnley players, and retaliated by throwing Ashley Westwood to the floor by the neck.
It then went from bad to worse. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang broke his goalscoring duck – but at the wrong end; the Arsenal captain heading Westwood’s corner into his own net as the Gunners conceded from a set-piece for the first time this season.
The result lifts the Clarets out of the bottom three, and just four points behind their illustrious opponents. If Burnley are in a relegation battle, then so are Arsenal.
As Sean Dyche praised his players at full time, Arteta cut a forlorn figure.
This is the first time since 1959 that the north London club have lost four consecutive home games, and it is now their worst start to a season for 45 years.
The Arsenal manager says he will continue to work hard and scratch his head. For how much longer is anyone’s guess.

    GUNNERS SHOT DOWN
Oscar Paul has savaged the Arsenal players after a fourth consecutive home defeat. Read his player ratings to see who scored just one out of ten.
    You can probably guess.

    DYCHE DELIGHTED
A proud Sean Dyche has been speaking post-match about his side’s first win at Arsenal since 1974:
“It’s pleasing. We’ve had to work for it and fight for everything. It’s not easy against ten men.
“They had a good reaction with ten men, and it gave them a cause. They seemed to raise themselves for the next 10-15 minutes. We saw ourselves through that period.

We got a bit of luck with the goal, but sometimes you need that at a place like this.
    Sean Dyche

    ARTETA REACTION
A clearly disappointed Mikel Arteta has fronted up for the cameras, and rued the sending off of Granit Xhaka as having cost his side the game.
“You saw the performance of the boys. How much they wanted it, the way they played, the chances we created and the dominance we had throughout the game.
“Again, we throw a game away by giving away a silly red card and we’ve lost the game.
“You saw what happened the other 60-70 minutes, we had total control of the game and we should have won it.
“In this condition, it’s even worse [than Pepe’s sending off at Leeds]. The condition we are in, not winning football matches, you cannot do that.

We were on top from the beginning of the game to the moment we had a player sent off.
    Mikel Arteta

    HAPPY PLACE
With tonight’s victory, Burnley moved out of the relegation zone at the expense of Fulham. The Clarets are in a happy place this evening.

    PATRICE PUTS THE BOOT IN
In the Sky Sports studio, pundit Patrice Evra hasn’t held back in his stinging criticism of Arsenal – and not for the first time this season.

Thierry Henry, one day he invited me to his house to watch the Arsenal game. He turned on the television, and the first image he saw on the screen was [Granit] Xhaka leading out Arsenal. Thierry Henry turned off the TV and said ‘I can’t watch my team with Xhaka being the captain.’
    Patrice Evra

    BURNLEY BUZZING
Burnley midfielder Ashley Westwood has been speaking post-match about his side’s first ever away win at Arsenal in the Premier League, and the sending off that gave them a second half advantage.
“The lads are buzzing in there, but it’s been coming. We’ve been beaten here in the last minute and last season we lost 3-1 but it wasn’t a 3-1 game.
“We knew if we started well, we’d put them under pressure. We knew it was coming and we managed to get there in the end.

Sometimes [a sending off] can go in their favour, as they have something to work for. We could hear them shouting that they’d done it at Leeds. We knew we had to keep switching the ball and we got there in the end.
    Ashley Westwood

“Playing against ten men, we’ve got that advantage and we made it pay from a set-piece.”

    I DON’T LIKE SUNDAYS
Co-incidentally, those four home defeats have all occurred in the Sunday evening 7.15pm slot.
Hopefully, most Arsenal fans are working from home and don’t have to go into an office on the Monday morning.

    NIGHTMARE IN NORTH LONDON
Leicester, Aston Villa, Wolverhampton Wanderers and now Burnley.

    FT: ARSENAL 0-1 BURNLEY
Desperate times for Arsenal! But brilliant for Burnley! Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang finally scores at the Emirates, but his headed own-goal gives Burnley their first win at Arsenal since 1974.

    PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!THE FINAL WHISTLE GOES!

    ARSENAL 0-1 BURNLEY
    90+6. Off the line!
Brady is in the right place to boot away a final header with the last kick of the game.

    ARSENAL 0-1 BURNLEY
90+5. Ceballos’ cross is headed behind for an Arsenal corner.
Last chance for Arsenal and Leno has come up for it…

    ARSENAL 0-1 BURNLEY
90+4. Pope rushes out to take charge of a lofted free-kick into the box, and takes out two players and the ball with one punch.
Gabriel recovers to get a soft header once the attack is recycled but Tarkowski stays down – and eats up a few more seconds of injury time.

    ARSENAL 0-1 BURNLEY
    90+2. A half-chance for Nketiah!
The substitute gets a foot on Holding’s wayward shot, but is unable to bring it under control.
If he had, he was unmarked and ten yards from goal.

    ARSENAL 0-1 BURNLEY
    90. The board goes up to signal five minutes of stoppage time, and draws something of a murmur of encouragement from the home fans.

    ARSENAL 0-1 BURNLEY
    88. Aubameyang has a momentary sight of redemption.
The Arsenal forward controls a ball that drops to him on the far post, cuts back on to his right foot, but is unbalanced by the presence of Lowton.
No shot, and definitely no penalty.

    ARSENAL 0-1 BURNLEY
    86. Tarkowski puts his body on the line once again, throwing himself in front of a Saka shot after the youngster had cut in dangerously from the right.
Both players involved have been very good tonight, arguably their team’s best players.

    ARSENAL 0-1 BURNLEY
    83. There’s absolutely no doubting that the sending off has swung this game in Burnley’s favour as Pope easily claims another wasted Arsenal cross.

Burnley had managed just two shots in the hour up to Xhaka’s red card. They’ve mustered eight since.
    — Orbinho (@Orbinho) December 13, 2020

    ARSENAL 0-1 BURNLEY
    81. By going behind from that Burnley corner, Arsenal concede a goal from a set-piece for the first time this season.
Mikel Arteta throws on Eddie Nketiah for the final ten minutes with the striker replacing Willian.

    ARSENAL 0-1 BURNLEY
    80. At Goodison Park, Selhurst Park and Craven Cottage this week, the presence of 2,000 fans has sounded like 25,000.
I’m pretty sure the Emirates is quieter than it’s been for the last six months.

    ARSENAL 0-1 BURNLEY
    76. The visitors nearly add a second but Taylor’s snapshot is deflected wide for a corner.

    ARSENAL 0-1 BURNLEY
    75. Another substitution for Arsenal as Maitland-Niles replaces Bellerin.
On the touchline, Mikel Arteta looks a beaten man.

    ARSENAL 0-1 BURNLEY
    73. Astonishing!
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang finally has a goal at the Emirates, but it’s at the wrong end!
Ashley Westwood’s corner from the left caused havoc, Josh Brownhill got the slightest of touches and the ball span off the head of the Arsenal captain to find the far corner.
The home side have it all to do now with ten men..

GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAALLL!!AUBAMEYANG HEADS INTO HIS OWN NET!!CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!
