    THAT’S ALL FROM PARMA
Juventus picked up a major victory against Parma in their bid to return to the top of the Serie A table.
Juve picked up their third clean sheet in the league in style with a dominant 4-0 win at the Ennio Tardini stadium.
The Bianconeri opened the scoring after only 23 minutes with a beautiful finish by Dejan Kulusevski.
Man of the Match Cristiano Ronaldo then doubled the lead just three minutes later as he picked up a fantastic cross from Alvaro Morata and beat Luigi Sepe with an astonishing header.
Juventus continued from where they left off in the second half as Ronaldo completed a brace thanks to another assist by Morata in the 48th minute.
The visitors had another goal ruled out as the ball went out of play before Matthijs de Ligt’s finisher.
But Morata ultimately made it four with a neat header five minutes before full-time.
Juventus are now third in the league but have the same points as Inter Milan.
Andrea Pirlo’s men will now wait and see how Inter and table-toppers AC Milan fare on Sunday
Thank you for following our page and have a lovely night!

    RONALDO SECRET
Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo hinted that Cristiano Ronaldo’s impressive performance comes down to missing a penalty last week against Atalanta.
Pirlo insionuated that it was his anger from that miss that pushed him to tonight’s brace and caused him to take out his frustrations at Parma.
The Juve manager said: “Ronaldo was rightly angry, he missed a penalty, but luckily we had a few days to think about it because we had to prepare for this match. He scored. , even better if he does them on action “.

    GETTY IMAGES – GETTY

    MOR THAN ENOUGH
Alvaro Morata also enjoyed a brilliant night as he was involved in three out of four goals against Parma.
Morata scored the fourth and set up both of Cristiano Ronaldo’s goals.
And it seems tonight’s performance is absolutely historic for the star striker…

    SERIE A TABLE
This is how the Serie A table looks like after Juventus’ 4-0 victory over Parma.
As you can see, Juve have caught up with Inter Milan but are still third.
The Bianconeri have a game at hand and will be waiting to see how the Milan rivals fare on Sunday.
Inter take on Spezia at the San Siro whereas Milan face Sassuolo at the Citta del Tricolore.

    STREAK GOES RON
We mentioned before kick-off that Cristiano Ronaldo loves to score against Parma…
Well, the streak has just been extended significantly as tonight’s brace marks a staggering total of six goals in five matches for Ronaldo against Parma.
Smart advice suggests the hosts should be more careful next time.
But how can anyone contain such a player…?

    GETTY IMAGES – GETTY

    CLEAN VICTORY
Juventus have the best defence in all of the Serie A as they have only conceded 10 goals in 13 matches.
But tonight’s result marked only their third clean sheet in the league all season.
Pretty hard to believe considering Juve are still undefeated close to Christmas…
Nevertheless, manager Andrea Pirlo will take this 4-0 victory as a sign of progress

    MAN OF THE MATCH
    Who else but Cristiano Ronaldo…?
Ronaldo was on fire throughout the match and had no trouble dealing with Parma’s defence.
And it’s not just the brace he scored that leads to tonight’s award…
But the fact that the Manchester United legend had the most shots (5), most shots on target (2) and among the highest passing accuracy rate of 90 per cent.

    GETTY IMAGES – GETTY

    STATS
Juventus dominated throughout the match but Parma got a decent 37.6 per cent of possession.
This doesn’t come as a surprise as the hosts produced 11 shots, four of which were on target.
Juventus, however, had a whopping 19 shots throughout the game, seven on target,
Parma improved in the second half and that is shown by the fact that they won 53.8 per cent of all aerial duels.

    FT: PARMA 0-4 JUVENTUS
Juventus pick up their biggest Serie A victory of the season thanks to a dominant display against Parma.
Juve opened the scoring after just 23 minutes with a beautiful shot by Dejan Kulusevski.

Juventus didn’t slow down in the second half as Ronaldo completed a brace in the 48th minute.
The Manchester United legend didn’t get to complete a hat-trick but Alvaro Morata completed the Bianconeri’s triumph with an impressive header five minutes before full-time

GENNADY GOLOVKIN battled his way to a convincing win over Kamil Szeremeta in Florida on Friday night.
In seven one-sided rounds the Kazakh floored the Pole four times before securing a big KO win.

Who is fighting on the undercard?
Gennady Golovkin vs Kamil Szeremeta (IBF, IBO world middleweight titles)
Ali Akhmedov vs Carlos Gongora (super middleweight)
Hyun Mi Choi vs Calista Silgado (super featherweight)
(Ad) Watch the fight HERE exclusively live on DAZN for just £1.99.

    HIT HIGH
Callum Smith intends to make his height advantage count in his bout with Canelo Alvarez.
The 6-foot-3 Brit stands seven inches taller than his opponent with the pair to set to clash at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
But Smith will not be underestimated the threat posed by Alvarez.
Ahead of the fight Smith said: “It’s hard because he’s boxed so many different styles, and he’s shown that he can do a bit of everything.”

    HISTORY MAKER

    RECORD SETTER
Gennady Golovkin successfully defended his IBF middleweight title for a RECORD 21st time, cruising to victory against Kamil Szeremeta.
The Kazakhstani sealed the win in the seventh round via technical knockout, surpassing former middleweight Bernard Hopkins’ title defence record.
Golovkin’s record now stands at 41-1-1, and he wants to complete the trilogy against Canelo Alvarez, the only man to get a draw and win against him.

    HISTORY MADE
Last night’s win was Gennadiy Golovkin’s 21st middleweight title defence, a new record.

    SOME RECORD
Last night’s victory takes GGG’s record to 41 career wins, and the possibility of a third super fight with Canelo Alvarez.

    GOL OF DUTY
GGG says he is absolutely open to facing the winner of tonight’s fight between Canelo Alvarez and Callum Smith.
The Kazakh has already fought Canelo twice, being controversially adjudged to have only drawn the first bout by judges despite appearing to dominate, and then losing the second on points.
    And he said:
“Absolutely I am open for anybody. Just best opponent for me, for business, for DAZN for people, for friends, I am ready.
“We will wait for tomorrow, I hope tomorrow is great event. The best, who wins? The best. I am open.
Predicting a winner of Canelo vs Smith, GGG said: “Fans! Absolutely fans!”

    REPORT
GGG enhanced his case as the greatest middleweight champion of all time after defending his crown for a record breaking 21st time.
The Kazakh legend wasted no time in getting down to business in Florida, as he peppered 31-year-old Szeremeta with jabs.
It set the champion up beautifully with his power shots, and just before the bell sounded to end the round, Triple-G scored the first knockdown of the night.
He had Szeremeta hurt with a body shot before following up with a left hook that forced his man to the deck.
Szeremeta managed to survived the scare but again tasted the canvas in round two after a massive right hook bounced off his face.
But GGG was still unable to find the finish as he put on an early beating.
In the third, Golovkin took his foot slightly off the pedal in terms of power punching, but still pressured the whole round.
He came out firing in the fourth and after closing the distance, a short, chopping left uppercut through the guard put Szeremeta on his backside once more.
But the unfancied underdog proved his resilience as he was forced to take cover following a barrage of body shots and hooks to the head.
The writing was on the wall all the way till round seven, as GGG mixed up his attacks and levels, which proved almost impossible to defend against.
And it was all too much in the seventh, when a double jab decked a hapless Szeremeta, who was on the end of a masterclass.

    RECORD BREAKING

    HIGHLIGHTS

    BIG HEARNER
Promoter Eddie Hearn says: “Gennady is the boss. Gennady’s earned the right to decide who he wants to fight.
“Of course, we saw an incredible two fights with Canelo Alvarez.
“If the third fight presents itself, if it makes sense for Gennady, if it makes sense for Canelo.. he’s got a tough fight with Callum Smith tomorrow night.”

    THE CHAMP IS HERE
GGG confirms he is open to facing the winner between Canelo and Callum Smith – who fight tomorrow.
Golovkin adds: “Absolutely I am open for anybody. Just best opponent for me, for business, for DAZN for people, for friends, I am ready.
“We will wait for tomorrow, I hope tomorrow is great event. The best, who wins? The best. I am open.
Predicting a winner, GGG said: “Fans! Absolutely fans!”

    THE CHAMP IS HERE
Golovkin says: “I come back, I told you I come back.
“Right now I showed this time I was very quiet, very comfortable, I think it’s smart work.
“Kamil Szeremeta, he is great boxer, but I feel very comfortable because I have a lot of time, a lot of good people with me, this, I’m very proud of my team.”

    THE FIGHT IS OVER
The referee waves off the fight!
It comes after FOUR knockdowns but Szeremeta just kept getting up. The right decision was to stop it there.
GGG makes a record breaking 21st middleweight title defence.

    ROUND 7
Golovkin comes out swinging with heavy right hands.
Szeremeta is dropped for a FOURTH time after a double jab by GGG.
Here comes the champion looking for the finish… Szeremeta again survives but it’s not looking pretty.

    ROUND 6
Right hook to the body and then upstairs lands for GGG – who had taken his foot of the gas a little.
Quiet round for the champion, who threw less punches.
Szeremeta’s is struggling to withstand these constant body shots.

    ROUND 5
GGG mixing up his punches to head and body, almost impossible to defend against.
The two come together and Golovkin still hammers Szeremeta with three left hands while tied up in a clinch.
Szeremeta makes it through the round but it’s proving a matter of when not if now…

    ROUND 4
GGG really letting his hands go here. Looking for hooks over the top.
Third knockdown for GGG as Szeremeta is dropped with an uppercut.
The champion is going looking for the KO, attacking body and head.
Golovkin can’t get the finish but Szeremeta is skating on thin ice.

    ROUND 3
Battle of jabs here in round three.
Szeremeta may have recovered but he can do nothing more than back up and defend.
Big uppercut lands and a right follows with it. Total domination from GGG.

    ROUND 2
GGG walking forward and looking to land the left hook.
The champion feels he has Szeremeta hurt, forcing him to defend.
Big right hand again floors Szeremeta who is rocked and needs to hold on.

    ROUND 1
Golovkin was controlling the action with his jab but a left hook right at the end dropped Szeremeta.
The challenger recovered well but it was a heavy shot.

    ROUND 1
GGG wasting no time in pumping out his spiteful jab.
Golovkin throwing his right hook but not fully committing as he just gages his range.
Big body shot lands for GGG and he follows it up with a left hook dropping the challenger!

    HERE WE GO!
    The first bell has sounded.
GGG’s record breaking 21st middleweight title defence.

Everton 2 Arsenal 1 LIVE REACTION: Gunners lose to Toffees at Goodison Park to extend winless streak – latest updates

ARSENAL extended their Premier League winless streak to SEVEN, thanks to a 2-1 loss at Goodison Park.
A Rob Holding own goal and Yerry Mina’s header were enough to nab the three points, despite a Nicolas Pepe penalty.
    RESULT: Everton 2-1 Arsenal
Everton XI: Pickford, Holgate, Keane, Godfrey, Mina, Iwobi, Doucoure, Davies, Sigurdsson, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin
Arsenal XI: Leno, Holding, David Luiz, Tierney, Maitland-Niles, Ceballos, Elneny, Saka, Pepe, Nketiah, Willian

    GOOD DAY AT GOODISON
So in a rarity where Everton were the favourites coming into this fixture, they earned a lot of bookmakers some money today by running out 2-1 winners against Arsenal.
It was a cagey affair to begin with as both teams struggled to stamp their authority on the game. Until a searching cross from Iwobi deflected off his former team mate and Arsenal skipper on the night, Rob Holding which flew past Leno putting the Toffees 1-0 up.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin did try to claim it, but he later admitted that he never got the final touch.
Arsenal equalised through a 35th minute Pepe penalty thanks to Tom Davies’ clumsy challenge on Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
The Gunners began to show some dominance but a Yerry Mina header put Everton back in the lead just on the stroke of half time.
Believe it or not, that was the last big moment of the game as both sides failed to register a single shot on target in the entire second half.
One positive for Arsenal and their fans was seeing the return of Martinelli who had been out for around 8 months but it’s effectively another defeat for Arteta who is staring relegation right in the face.
Thanks for sticking with me SunSport family and enjoy the rest of your weekend whether you are in Tier 1, 2, 3 or even 4 now.

    BLUES CLUES
Everton climb up to 2nd after a 3rd consecutive victory.
As for Arsenal they remain in 15th just 5 points clear of the drop zone.

    UNLUCKY NUMBER 14
Arsenal have gained just 14 points from 14 games so far this season.

    MORE FROM DCL
The Everton forward said: “I thought the performance again today to a man you know we dug in. Sometimes we don’t have the ball for long periods but we never panicked and took our chances when they came.
“I glanced it and obviously it’s come off the defender and gone in. I would have liked to have got on the scoresheet but the most important thing is the three points.
“We knew that they would be exposed in that area from set pieces and Yerry’s a massive threat in the air so you know that if the delivery is on the money and he heads it, chances are he’s going to score.”

    DCL’S POST-MATCH ANALYSIS

Sometimes you’ve got to celebrate to make everyone think it’s yours but VAR you can’t get away with that these days.

Everton vs Arsenal is set for Saturday, December 19.

When the Gunners last visited this ground, the sides played out a fairly dismal 0-0 draw.
Which TV channel and live stream can I watch it on?
You can catch this game live on Sky Sports Main Event, Premier League and Ultra HD.
    Coverage begins at 5.15pm.

    What is the team news?

Here’s one way the Gunners could start against Everton

    GOOD OL GOODISON
All eyes on Goodison Park as we await this interesting match-up.

    LAST TIME OUT
Arteta had Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to thank for digging his team out of a hole the last time these two squared up. The 31-year-old scored twice earning the Gunners three points against a really transformed Everton side.
It was fireworks right from the off. Dominic Calvert-Lewin got on the end of a Gylfi Sigurdsson free-kick putting the Toffees in the lead after only 49 seconds.
However, that poor start forced Arsenal to go up a gear. 20 minutes later, an Eddie Nketiah side foot-volley drew the Gunners level and that was quickly followed up by Aubameyang’s first of the day on the 33rd minute putting Arteta’s men 2-1 up.
Arsenal were seconds away from going into halftime in pole position before more defensive errors led to the eagle eyed Richarlison poking home Everton’s second in stoppage time of the first half.
Whatever Arteta said to his team during the interval must have worked because it was only 26 seconds into the second half before the Gunners regained the lead.  A Pepe cross put right on the money for an Aubameyang header allowed the Gabon international to celebrate his brace.
Everton did have a few squandered chances from Calvert-Lewin but ultimately, Arsenal were able to hang on and get a hard fought 3-2 victory.

    GOOD AFTERNOON
Hello my SunSport family. Hope everyone is well and is staying safe.
I honestly can’t keep up with all these changes made by the Government but what I can confirm, is that we are taking a trip to Everton today as the Toffees welcome Arsenal to Goodison Park.
In years gone by, Arsenal have shown their dominance in this fixture. Everton have only managed three wins in the last decade against the Gunners which is pretty woeful but in this unpredictable year we call 2020, fortunes have really flipped right on its head.
What do I mean by this you ask?
Well thanks to a cute finish from Aubameyang, Arteta’s men did pick up to pick up a midweek point against Southampton but prior to that, Arsenal’s loss to Burnley at the Emirates was their 4th consecutive home defeat – the first time since 1959.
On the other hand Everton are flying. The Toffee’s swept aside a very strong Chelsea side last weekend and followed it up by securing a convincing 2-0 victory on Wednesday against Leicester. This puts them in a good position to challenge for the European places leading up to Christmas and their confidence will be sky high going into this game.
But this is the Premier League, so expect the unexpected.
Stay tuned right here and I will bring you all the updates from today’s fascinating encounter.

He faces IBF mandatory challenger Kamil Szeremeta tonight.

    SHOW STOPPER
Here is footage of Mati’s stoppage win.
The Albanian-American now improves to 2-0.

    RYD OR DIE
Brit John Ryder is over Stateside ahead of his return to the ring.
He has not fought since narrowly losing to Callum Smith last year.
Smith, of course, faces Mexican star Canelo tomorrow night.

    HBK MOVES
Here is the moment Mati showed off his best impression of WWE legend Shawn Michaels.
He tripped over on his own feet but flicked himself back up.

    ALL OVER
Mati gets the final round stoppage!
Having been cruising beforehand, he sensed Okoth may have been injured and poured on the pressure.
Mati landed a good right hand and fished the job on the ropes, showing good finishing instincts.

    INTO THE FINAL ROUND
Mati is heading into the sixth and final round.
He’s been on top but made to work which will result in valuable rounds for the youngster.

    RESHAT MATI VS DENNIS OKOTH
    All Mati in round one.
He utilised his jab to good affect and landed the odd body shot.
Expect Mati to up his product as he grows into the fight.

    BACK TO BASICS
Reshat Mati is about to kick things off tonight.
He came to the ring dressed as Batman – but walked out to Backstreet Boys…

    TALE OF THE TAPE
Here’s how tonight’s headliner match up.
Golovkin has a superior knockout record and makes history by defending his middleweight title for a 21st time.

    BOX CLEVER
British fans can ditch their late-night coffees and twilight alarm calls once DAZN launches tonight.
The streaming app launch finally kicks off in the UK with Gennady Golovkin vs Kamil Szeremeta live from Florida, on at a manageable 1am UK time.
And that’s followed tomorrow with the brilliant match-up between Mexican pound-for-pound master Canelo and the planet’s finest super-middleweight Callum Smith.
This Texas shootout, for Smith’s Ring and WBA titles and the vacant WBC strap, will be shown in the early hours here as the whole of Mexico and most of America stops when the ginger-assassin fights.
But the January 2 clash between baby face American Ryan Garcia and Hull’s 2012 Olympic hero Luke Campbell is set to be the first of many specially timed to suit audiences on both sides of the pond.
Campbell will have his US mission shown live in the UK at around midnight, which means an approximate 6pm start time in Dallas.
And British DAZN exec Joe Markowski says UK boxing nuts can start looking forward to kinder-timed foreign fights, as his £1.99 a month app looks to smash into the Sky and BT Sport dominated market.
Markowski told SunSport: “We want to engage British sports fans because, although we are launching globally and not just in the UK, the UK happens to be a stand-out market because of the growth and popularity of boxing.
“We will be considering a number of strategies, the obvious one being timing of fights.
“In 2021, where you see a British fighter high up the card or the main event, you will see us broadcast in the American afternoon so we can maximise the value in both countries.
“I grew up having to stay awake really late to watch US fights and we will work to improve that for British fans where possible”.

Follow the latest build-up and action with our live blog below…

    THANKS FOR JOINING US
That’s all for tonight, as Manchester United’s blistering away form continues.
The Red Devils now have six wins out of six away from Old Trafford, with 18 of their 23 points this campaign coming on their travels.
Next up for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side is a mouthwatering clash against Leeds on Sunday at Old Trafford.
Sheffield United meanwhile have just the one point so far this campaign, but will be confident of getting a result against Brighton on Sunday.
    That’s all for now though.
Thanks for joining us, it’s been a pleasure.

    MATCH REPORT
Plenty to talk about from tonight’s game at Bramall Lane.
Sheffield United took the lead after a Dean Henderson howler allowed David McGoldrick to slot home, before Manchester United hit back with goals from Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.
Marcus Rashford doubled the Red Devils’ lead after the break, finishing off a brilliant flowing move from the visitors.
David McGoldrick scored again for the hosts, but it was too little too late, with Manchester United coming away with all three points.

    MAROONED
Sheffield United meanwhile are adrift at the bottom of the table, and are already nine points away from safety.
Tonight’s performance however suggests that there is plenty of fight in Chris Wilder’s side.

    AS IT STANDS
That win takes Manchester United to sixth, just five points off leaders Liverpool and with a game in hand.

    WILDER’S REACTION
Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder has this to say at full time:
“I think there’s definitely something to work with today. As I said I feel that we should be on more points but we’re not, that’s the harsh, brutal fact and reality of it all, is we are there for a reason.
“We haven’t picked up enough points and we haven’t taken enough big moments, but tonight has given myself and should give the players a belief that if we do play in the manner that we’ve played, especially out of possession and we work hard, and we compete and we try and play in a way that we try to, that there’s something left in this season for us and more life for us.”

    ON DEAN HENDERSON’S PERFORMANCE
“The good, the bad and the ugly, maybe in a different chronological order, but it’s a test and he’s always learning.
“He comes back here, he’s probably been looking forward to this for a long long while and to get that start, it just shows his character [for] the rest of the game.”

    OLE’S ANALYSIS
These are the post match thoughts of Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer:
“It could have been more comfortable obviously.
“[There’s] a couple of reasons for that. We were a little bit sloppy, 3-1 up we could have scored, we created some good chances, their corner that led to the second goal wasn’t a corner.
“But then when it goes in it’s really really difficult at the end, because they are a handful in a very unorthodox way, but very direct and physical, and they made it hard for us.”

    BACK OF THE NET
Marcus Rashford fires past Aaron Ramsdale for his second goal of the evening.

    RASHFORD SPEAKS
This is what Marcus Rashford has to say on starting with Greenwood, Martial and Fernandes:
“I think we have the potential to rotate a lot going forward, and that type of free flowing is what we enjoy playing most.
“So we have to as well as we can with the team that the manager picks, that’s our job as players and today we got it right.”

    WINNERS
Manchester United come from behind again to win on the road, again.
Marcus Rashford netted twice, with Anthony Martial also bagging for the visitors, while David McGoldrick scored a brace for the Blades.

Liverpool took the lead through Mo Salah, before Spurs hit back through a lighting fast break from Son Heung-Min.

    FULL TIME STATS
Here’s a look at the full time stats from today’s game.
Liverpool had eleven shots on target, compared to just two from Spurs.
Although Steven Bergwijn did hit the post, and Harry Kane missed a glorious chance for the visitors.

    JURGEN’S REACTION
This is what Jurgen Klopp has to say on his interaction with Jose Mourinho, after Gabby Logan told him about Mourinho’s comments on Klopp’s behaviour on the touchline:
“My English is worse than I thought.
“He actually told me, I’m really not sure usually I don’t say that but he’s there next to me maybe you can ask him.
“I thought he said to me the better team lost, and nothing about my behaviour on the touchline.”

    SKIPPER SPEAKS
Here is what Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has to say at full time:
“I thought it was a good game, very tactical.
“Probably what you expected a little bit in terms of us dominating with the ball, creating chances and then getting done on the counter in the first half, so we’ll be disappointed with that because we knew that was the case.
“But overall I thought the performance was outstanding.
“I thought we dominated for long periods with the ball, we created some good chances and never stopped.
“[We] kept going to the end right until the end and got the winner which I think we deserved.”

    AS IT STANDS
That win takes Liverpool to the top of the Premier League, three points clear of Spurs.

    JURGEN’S REACTION
Jurgen Klopp has this to say at full time:
“It was a really good game against a top, top, top side.
“A counter attacking monster, you lose one ball and it will end up with an 80 percent probability in your own box, so you have to be really focused, really concentrated.
“And on the other side because they don’t want the ball too much you have to play around them, but you have to keep them busy and the boys did that really really well.”

    ON THE EXCHANGE WITH KLOPP
“I told him the best team lost.
“He disagreed but that’s his opinion.
“By the way if I behave the same way on the touchline like he does on the, I have no chance to stay there, I’m off one minute after.”

    MOURINHO SPEAKS
These are the full time thoughts of Jose Mourinho:
“So close of winning, not so close of [getting] a draw.
“So close of winning, but we missed the chances.
“We had the chances, we had the game under control.
“A draw, would be a bad result in relation to the performance so you can imagine how we feel with the defeat.
“But [a] very good performance, of course with some mistakes [and] some things to improve but a great performance and a very very unfair result.”

    ACTION AREAS
Here’s a look at the action areas from the game.
Liverpool dominated the possession and territory, and in the end came away with all three points.

    WORDS EXCHANGED

    BULLET HEADER
That is some header from Roberto Firmino, worthy of winning a brilliant game of football.

    LIVERPOOL 2-1 SPURS
Some words exchanged between Jurgen Klopp and Jose Mourinho at the full time whistle, I wonder what was said between the two of them.
It didn’t look like the most friendly of conversations.

    FULL TIME!
    LIVERPOOL 2-1 SPURS!
A HUGE WIN FOR THE REDS!

    LIVERPOOL 2-1 SPURS
    93. Rhys Williams heads the ball clear and Liverpool get the ball down the field.
There’s seconds left to play at Anfield.

Follow ALL the reaction with our live blog below…

    THAT’s ALL FOR TONIGHT
Leeds needed to get back to winning ways after the defeat against West Ham, and they did it in style.
A thumping 5-2 win secured all three points and moved them up to 13th, leap-frogging Newcastle.
There was some absolutely cracking goals, but Jack Harrison’s was the best of them all so before I sign off, let’s have another look!

    And on that note, goodnight!

    TABLE CHECK
The win takes Leeds up to 13th on goal difference, leap-frogging Newcastle.

    TEAM TRACKING

    IT’s ALL KLICH-ING
Mateusz Klich has been involved in seven goals in his last 13 league matches (3 goals, 4 assists).

    DAL’s THE REAL DEAL
Only David Cochrane (32) and David Healy (31) have scored more goals for Leeds among Northern Irishmen than Stuart Dallas (21).

    EZ AL IN
Ezgjan Alioski is the first Macedonian player to score a Premier League goal since Georgi Hristov in April 1998, which was also at Elland Road, for Barnsley vs Leeds.

    BIEL AND END ALL
Jack Harrison’s late stunner sealed a resounding Leeds victory over Newcastle United at Elland Road.
Steve Bruce’s side had led in the first-half, before a late, late show put some gloss on the Whites’ first home win since September.

    RAINING SHOTS
Leeds have had 20+ shots in four PL games this season, the joint-most of any team (also Liverpool, 4).

    CLARK SPEAKS
Speaking to Prime Sport, Clark said: “Really frustrated after that, we done well to pull ourselves and get back into the game.
“Three sloppy mistakes in the last 30 minutes, it’s cost us there now, and it’s about being switched on and we switched off for the third and the last two…. embarrassing really when you look back at it.”

    FLYING HIGH
Leeds have the wow factor back.

    CHRISTMAS CRACKER
Goals were flying in left-right and centre in the second half.
Dallas headed home Klich’s cross to hand Leeds the lead.

Then Harrison scored a screamer to secure all three points, and look at the angle!

    FULL-TIME STATS
Leeds continued to dominate the ball in the second half, and this time they were rewarded for their dominance.
Leeds scored four in the second half to secure three points.

Leeds had Newcastle camped inside their own half for most of the game, but they did end up conceding two.

Leeds (left) out-worked Newcastle tonight, anything less than a win would have been a disappointment.

    FT: LEEDS 5-2 NEWCASTLE
    WOW!
What a second half of football, we were treated to FIVE, yes FIVE, goals in the second half.
Rodrigo headed Leeds in front with a wonderful header on the 61 minute mark.
The lead didn’t last long, Leeds’ inability to defend corners came back to haunt them as Clark headed home the equaliser.
Dallas scored Leeds third, arriving late at the back post to head home Klich’s cross.
Then two lightening quick counter attacks from two Newcastle corners lead to Leeds’ fourth and fifth.
Harrison picks up man of the match and rightly so, his solo wonder goal capped off a wonderful individual and team performance.
Three big points for Leeds, and the three-goal margin helps take Leeds above Newcastle on goal difference.
