    PROVOD ON HIS GOAL

    REACTION FROM JAN BORIL
“It is something beautiful, extraordinary. Some people did not believe us but we stuck together and managed to score two goals here. We are really proud of this achievement.”

    REACTION FROM KUDELA
“We are very glad that we have managed to eliminate such a strong team. We did not allow them any big chances over the whole tie. It is a success of our teamwork.
“We believed that in the second half we would get into a position where we had to win 1-0. In the end we celebrate a 2-0 win.”

    REACTION FROM PROVOD
The Slavia midfielder told Czech TV:
(about his goal) “I received a marvellous pass from Nico Stanciu, I could not do anything else other than score. I would have torn my hair out had I missed it. All credit must go to Nico for the goal.”
“We have defeated a very strong team playing at the top of the Premier League. There is a fantastic euphoria right now. It was a hard match, but we never stopped believing that we would score a goal.”

    MORE FROM RODGERS
“We’re disappointed to be out, but we know that tonight we weren’t good enough and if you’re not good enough at this level you get punished.
“Before tonight we were in three competitions and we wanted to give it our all, we know where our priorities are, now we’ve got two competitions and we’re all in now and we’ll do our very, very best.
“It’s disappointing to lose, always is but tonight we just lacked that intensity in our game and a bit of quality and they deserved to go through, so good luck to Slavia in the next round.”

    REACTION FROM RODGERS
The Leicester boss told BT Sport:
“We lost to the better team, I take responsibility for the teams that I’ve picked, and I felt I selected a team that could win the game.
“But over the two legs we didn’t create enough, that’s the reality and we didn’t defend with any intensity and we gave away two disappointing goals, so overall I think the best team won and we just have to get ready for the weekend.”
“They play that man marking style so you have to be patient in your game, we got into some good areas but just lacked quality when we arrived.
“We started the game pretty well , first 10-15 minutes we were controlling the game and exploited some spaces behind their line but we just didn’t have enough quality.”

Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spoke to BT Sport after the game: “You remember defeats more than wins. Especially semi-finals.

    FULL-TIME STATS
Plenty of shots…. plenty of touches inside the opposition penalty area… but no goals.

FT: MAN UTD (4) 0-0 (0) REAL SOCIEDAD
Man Utd thought they took the lead halfway through the second half after Tuanzebe rose highest to plant the corner home.
However, in the build-up, Lindelof left a Real Sociedad player in a heap on the floor.
The referee went across to the VAR monitor and ruled the goal out and booked Lindelof for dangerous play.
The rest of the half was rather lifeless, both sides knew their fate in the competition and neither side had the desire to grab a goal.
If Oyarzabal buried that first half penalty, what a game it COULD have been.

    PEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!

    MAN UTD (4) 0-0 (0) REAL SOCIEDAD
90+3. Bautista flicks the ball out wide to Martin, and the Sociedad player swiftly whips the ball into the penalty area.
But Henderson rushes out to gather the cross.

90+2. Man Utd are knocking the ball about trying to see out the remaining two minutes.

    MAN UTD (4) 0-0 (0) REAL SOCIEDAD
    90. Four added minutes at the end of the second half…… the last ten minutes or so has been painful to watch to say the least.
Maybe we will see a goal! Well, probably not.

    MAN UTD (4) 0-0 (0) REAL SOCIEDAD
    88. Real Sociedad are passing the ball around with no real intent, they know the game is lost.

    MAN UTD (4) 0-0 (0) REAL SOCIEDAD
    85. Not much to report on, both sides are exchanging possession and neither side are really going for goal.
The games current state suits Man Utd, they’re in no rush to add to their goal tally or concede.

    MAN UTD (4) 0-0 (0) REAL SOCIEDAD
    83. Man Utd are cruising towards tomorrow’s Europa League draw, which will include Arsenal and Rangers.
Leicester are currently losing 2-0 to Slavia Prague at the King Power stadium, so as it stands, they’ll be out of the competition.

    MAN UTD (4) 0-0 (0) REAL SOCIEDAD
    80. The game is starting to get slow, both teams know their fate and there’s no real intent to score a goal.
Oyazabal’s early penalty miss set the tone for Real Sociedad tonight – it was all downhill from there.

    78. Real Sociedad are enjoying a decent spell of possession inside Man Utd’s half, but it’s all too late!

    MAN UTD (4) 0-0 (0) REAL SOCIEDAD
    72. Bautista manages to win his side a free-kick deep inside Man Utd’s half, giving his side a chance to get up the pitch.
The free-kick is taken short down the line and the ball is whipped into the penalty area.
Bautista rises highest to meet it, but his effort deflects behind for a corner.

    66. CHANCE!
Martial drives towards the edge of Real Sociedad’s penalty area, taking on Sagnan.
The Frenchman cuts inside onto his favoured right foot and strikes towards goal, but Remiro saves with his finger tips!
The referee gives a goal-kick when it should in fact be a Man Utd corner.

    MAN UTD (4) 0-0 (0) REAL SOCIEDAD
    65. Williams is walking a tight-rope as he commits yet another foul down the right-hand side.
He has to be very careful, one more and he’s off!

    MAN UTD (4) 0-0 (0) REAL SOCIEDAD
    64. NO GOAL & YELLOW CARD!
The goal is ruled out for a foul by Lindelof, and the defender is booked as a result.
Upon review, it wasn’t a great challenge but it wasn’t deliberate.
Massive shame for Tuanzebe, that would have been his first senior goal for Man Utd!

    MAN UTD (5) 1-0 (0) REAL SOCIEDAD
    62. Tuanzebe rises highest to plant the corner into the back of the net! VAR will check for a potential foul by Lindelof.
The referee has been instructed to go over to the monitor – Lindelof, as he went up for the ball, appears to strike a Sociedad player in the face with his leg.

    THAT’S ALL FROM PIRAEUS
Arsenal have qualified to the Europa League’s Round of 16 following a dramatic 3-2 win over Benfica at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium.
The Gunners opened the scoring after 21 minutes when Bukayo Saka found Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with a brilliant through ball before the Gabon international beat Helton Leite with a beautiful finish.
Benfica, though, set the aggregate on fire two minutes before half-time with Diogo Goncalves’ incredible free-kick, which the “visitors” earned after careless foul by Dani Ceballos close to the north Londoners’ box.
Ceballos committed another major error on 61 minutes when he headed the ball back and Rafa Silva picked it up to dribble past Bernd Leno and give his side the lead.
Arsenal managed to respond just six minutes later with a beautiful left-footed shot by Kieran Tierney but still needed another goal to qualify.
The Gunners got there eventually just three minutes before full-time when Saka’s cross found Aubameyang, who headed the ball past Helton.
Arsenal will find out their last-16 opponents tomorrow noon when the draw takes place in Nyon
That’s all from us here in Greece, have a lovely evening!

    GETTY IMAGES

    ARTETA REACTS
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is very pleased with the result and praised the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Willian and Kieran Tierney.
Arteta said: “I completely trust him [Aubameyang] because we’re producing the chances and you know when Auba has chances he’s going to score goals.
“Today it would have been really harsh with what has happened in the two legs to be out of the competition.
“Willian specifically I think he changed the game he gave us much more composure in moments, produced some creativity, produced the goal for Kieran and we need everybody on board.
“The way I’d describe him [Tierney] which is all determination, all passion for what he does. The way he come back from his injury and how willing he is to help the team. He gives us a big lift”

    GETTY IMAGES

    AUBAMEYANG REACTS
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is ecstatic after his two goals helped Arsenal advance to the last 16 of the Europa League.
Aubameyang was part of the team that was eliminated by Olympiacos at this stage last season after a huge miss just before full-time at the Emirates.
But the Arsenal superstar is always determined to make up for past mistakes and turn a negative into a positive.
Aubameyang told BT Sport: “I think everyone is happy tonight.
“Definitely I had this in my head but this is what gives me power every day to take the errors from the past and transform it to strength”

    GETTY IMAGES

    SAK ATTACK
Arsenal star Bukayo Saka is already standing out of the crowd despite his young age of 19 years old.
Saka is officially the most creative player in the Europa League since the start of last season.
The winger has provided eight assists and played a big role in the Gunners’ qualification to the last 16.
After all, Saka created both of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s goals

    GREAT SCOT
Arsenal ace Kieran Tierney has made his own bit of history tonight…
Tierney scored the Gunners’ second goal that might have been the most critical as they equalised after Benfica recorded two away goals.
The left-back became the first Scottish footballer to find the net in a European competition in over four decades!
Last Scottish player to score for Arsenal was Willie Young against Goteborg

    GREEK TRAGEDY
Tonight’s encounter marked the third time Benfica played at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium.
It also marked the third time the Eagles’ lost at Olympiacos’ ground in Piraeus.
The Greek giants thrashed Benfica with a score of 5-1 in the UEFA Cup back in 2008.
Olympiacos then defeated the Portuguese big hitters with a score of 1-0 in a match that practically sealed qualification to the Champions League’s last 17.
And the rest is now history…

    GETTY IMAGES

    STATS
Arsenal dominated a mere 53 per cent of possession against a competitive Benfica side.
The Gunners produced a total of 10 shots, five of which were on target, compared to the Eagles’ six, two of which were on target.
Both teams found it rather easy to make it to the opposite box as the north Londoners got there 21 times compared to the Portuguese giants’ 16.
It was an intense match but, funnily enough, only one player got booked, and that was Adel Taarabt

    FT: ARSENAL 3-2 BENFICA
Arsenal made it through to the last 16 of the Europa League after winning a dramatic encounter in Greece.
Aubameyang opened the scoring after 21 minutes when he picked up a brilliant through ball by Bukayo Saka and beat Helton Leite with a beautiful finish.
But Benfica wouldn’t be daunted as they equalised just two minutes before half-time with a brilliant free-kick by Diogo Goncalves; the Eagles got the set-piece on a promising position following a careless foul by Dani Ceballos.
The Portuguese giants gained the lead on 61 minutes following another error by Ceballos who headed the ball back where Rafa gained possession, dribbled past Leno and scored.
But Kieran Tierney put the north Londoners back into the tie with a beautiful left-footed shot just six minutes later.
Benfica fought tooth-and-nail to hold on to the result but Saka’s brilliant cross from the right found Aubameyang whose headed beat Helton once more.
Arsenal are through on a 4-3 aggregate!

The Eagles don’t seem keen at all to move forward unless they are on the counter-attack

80 Benfica are looking lethal with their runs on the wings; especially dangerous on the counter-attack.

    ARSENAL 2-2 BENFICA
75 That is how Tierney may have saved the tie for Arsenal.

    BREAKING
Thierry Henry has left his position as head coach of MLS side CF Montreal.
The Arsenal legend joined them in November 2019 following his infamous spell with French giants Monaco.
But Henry announced in a statement he has resigned due to personal and family reasons amid the coronavirus pandemic.

    RAM IT HOME
Manchester United star Eric Bailly has weighed in on the Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo GOAT debate… by picking neither of them.
The Ivorian has instead cited Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos as the ‘perfect reference point’.

Eric Bailly had a strange take on the GOAT debate
Bailly, 26, was asked by Guillem Balague on the Spaniard’s YouTube channel for his take on football’s most debated topic.
He said: “My greatest inspiration has always been Ramos.
“I’ve admired him for a long time, because of what he does in football and how he keeps going at a high level.
“For me, he’s one of the best players in the history of football. Everyone has an opinion, but he is one of the best, the perfect reference point for me.
“If you ask me, Messi or Ronaldo, I’d say Ramos.”

    YOUNG LIONS
This is how England could line up at the Under-21 Euros which start in March before finishing in May and June.

    DIM VIEW
Manchester United favourite Dimitar Berbatov believes his former club need to guard against complacency in the top four race.
With neighbours Man City running away with the title, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are turning their focus to Champions League qualification.
The Bulgarian Betfair ambassador said: “United need to be careful and focused when they go to Stamford Bridge on Sunday, because if they lose the Blues will be within three points of them in the table.
“A six point gap is nothing in the Premier League so a top four finish is by no means guaranteed for Manchester United, especially as they have dropped points recently.
“Hopefully they will become more consistent again and secure qualification for next season’s Champions League.
“The Red Devils need to prepare well and either win or draw the game, otherwise the gap is getting smaller.
“It is a big game for both teams and it is different when you play a team like Chelsea.”

    JUR KIDDING
Liverpool could sack ‘unbelievable’ boss Jurgen Klopp, according to former Red Glen Johnson.
The German has overseen four consecutive defeats in the Premier League, as his side’s title defence has fallen apart in recent weeks.
And while Johnson, 36, thinks that Klopp’s job is safe for now, he believes the 53-year-old could be in trouble next season if their slump continues.
The ex-England international told cheltenhamguides.com: “I think Klopp’s job will be safe, but next year will be different.
“This season you can’t talk about sacking him because he’s been unbelievable, but unfortunately at this level of football, things change quickly.
“I think his job will be absolutely fine for now but next season will be a different conversation.”

    AS-TON OF MONEY
Aston Villa are among Europe’s biggest net-spenders in recent years with almost £300million splashed on transfers.
In a study conducted by CIES Football Observatory, the Midlands club were found to have loaded more money into the market than Chelsea, Arsenal and Real Madrid.

The past ten transfer windows have seen Villa pay £356m for players and only earn £59m back in sales, creating a net deficit of £297m that is the seventh-highest in Europe.

    MONEY TALKS
Pep Guardiola has conceded Manchester City’s success is down to their staggering wealth.
Since being taken over by Shiekh Mansour’s Abu Dhabi United Group Investment in September 2008, the club have forked out close to an eye-boggling £2billion on new players.

And when asked how his side manages to maintain their winning form, Guardila said: “We have a lot of money to buy a lot of incredible players.
“It is true. Without good quality players, we cannot do it. The humanity of this group… the players are fantastic and have an incredible relationship.”

    FLASH THE CASH
Here’s how Chelsea could line up after Roman Abramovich hands Thomas Tuchel a £260million transfer warchest.

    ROMAN EMPEROR
Thomas Tuchel is set to be handed a £260million transfer warchest by Roman Abramovich this summer, according to reports.
And that could see the Chelsea boss go all out to land Borussia Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland.
According to Tutto Mercato, the huge fund will be available to Tuchel regardless of whether he secures Champions League football at Stamford Bridge next season.
Abramovich bankrolled a whopping £230m spending splurge last summer as the Blues signed Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell, Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Edouard Mendy to revamp the squad.
But the Russian billionaire – who has recently splashed out £430m on another new yacht – appears prepared to stump up yet more cash to help his club challenge among Europe’s elite once again.
The No1 priority will be Haaland who has a £65m release clause which takes effect in 2022.

    RAPH-LE TICKET
Leeds star Raphinha could become the subject of a transfer battle between Manchester United and Liverpool, according to reports.
After leaving Rennes for Yorkshire in October, the Brazilian winger has been a key man at Elland Road.

His form has alerted the likes of United and Liverpool, among others ahead of the summer transfer market.
SportItalia report on the interest, with Leeds ready to fight to keep hold of the 24-year-old.
The Whites forked out £17million for Raphinha last year following a single season in France.

    HAA MUCH?
Manchester United have reportedly been told that they can sign Erling Haaland this summer, but only for £150million.
The Norwegian striker is among the hottest property in European football, having scored 43 goals in 43 games since joining Borussia Dortmund 13 months ago.

Haaland, 20, possesses a £65million release clause in his contract, which will become active in 2022.
A number of clubs, including United, Manchester City and Chelsea are interested in getting a deal done sooner – but it’ll cost them dearly.
According to the Star, Dortmund are braced for interest but will hold out for £150m this summer – more than double his future release clause.
Asked yesterday about Haaland, who he managed at Molde, Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer refused to rule out a move for his compatriot.

    MAKING A MARC
Marcus Rashford made his Manchester United debut five years ago today.
The 18-year-old was handed his debut by Louis van Gaal in the Europa League after Anthony Martial broke down in the warm-up.

Rashford bagged two goals to announce himself on the big stage but some of the other Red Devils on the day have had very different journeys since.
Left-back Joe Riley now plays for Carlisle in League Two while right-back Guillermo Varela is on loan at Dinamo Moscow from Copenhagen and Daley Blind is at Ajax.
Michael Carrick is now on the coaching staff while Sergio Romero, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard are still on United’s books.
Memphis Depay is at Lyon, Ander Herrera at PSG and Morgan Schniederlin at Nice.

Man Utd Haaland fresh PURSUIT, Liverpool scrap for Raphina, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Man City transfer news

MANCHESTER UNITED and Chelsea remain hot on the tail of Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland, but they’re going to have to pay one pretty penny to land him.
Elsewhere Liverpool have exciting targets of their own, while we’ve got you covered on all the transfer news from the rest of the Premier League’s top clubs.

Monchengladbach 0 Man City 2 LIVE REACTION: Bernando Silva and Jesus net as Guardiola’s men record 19th consecutive win

MANCHESTER CITY continued their remarkable winning streak with a comfortable Champions League win over Borussia Monchengladbach.

    THAT’S ALL FROM BUDAPEST
A comfortable evening for Man City and they should see the job through to reach the quarter-finals.
But as Pep said, it’s all about the next game for them – a lunchtime Saturday game with West Ham.
That will give them the opportunity to make it 20 wins in a row – astonishing stuff really.
Oh, and Sergio Aguero made his return tonight.
    Goodnight, thanks for tuning in.

    PEP’S THOUGHTS
Pep Guardiola still wants more from his side and blasted their wastefulness in front of goal.
He thinks there was enough there tonight to wrap the tie up tonight – and he’s probably right.

In general our performance was good. We controlled the game, conceded one action right at the end but unfortunately we weren’t clinical enough up front. That’s something we need to improve in this competition.
He has to improve (Cancelo) sometimes in his decision-making and being caught out. But he brings us something special to our process. His physicality is so strong and I’m so pleased for his assists tonight.
The situations tonight are clear. 1v1’s or up against the keeper we just weren’t clinical. We need to be better up front.
When I watched Bayern Munich yesterday, I wouldn’t say we were favourites. But my next target is just West Ham. It’s three weeks until we are going to play in this competition again. If people say we are favourites that is fine and we will accept it.

    BERNARDO’S THOUGHTS
Bernardo Silva gave his thoughts after another goal and assist tonight.

It was a good game for us, a good win. You make one mistake and you’re out so we tried to keep it simple and keep possession like we usually do.I try to practice a lot with my head! I think I was lucky tonight that Joao gave me a good ball. It’s very good playing here just now. It’s a great squad, great staff and it’s a pleasure playing with these guys.We have a map, a way of playing. Players get injured or whatever and whoever comes into the side can keep playing.

    RECORD-BREAKERS
Man City set a new English top-flight record of 12 away wins in a row.
It won’t be the last record if this form continues.
It’s 26 games unbeaten now – their own record if 28.
They have only conceded SIX goals in their 19-match winning run….

Atalanta 0 Real Madrid 1 LIVE REACTION: Ten-man hosts shattered by late Mendy winner to leave Spaniards in control

Get risk free £20 bet and 37/1 bet builder tip on Real Madrid clash

    THAT’S ALL FOR TONIGHT
It wasn’t quite the goal-fest we were all hoping to see, but at least we saw a goal and what a goal it was!
Still plenty of European action to come, with Arsenal, Manchester United, Rangers and Leicester all playing in the Europa League to follow.
And we’ll have you covered here at SunSport!
    Goodnight.

    BEND IT LIKE MENDY
FERLAND MENDY scored a stunning goal to finally down brave Atalanta in their Champions League last-16 first-leg tie.
The Serie A side were up against it just 17 minutes in when Remo Freuler was controversially shown red.
The Italians held firm until the 86th-minute, when a curling 20-yard strike from Mendy finally broke the deadlock.
Real Madrid will now go into the second-leg with an all-important lead and away goal.
Read More: Atalanta 0-1 Real Madrid Match Report

    MIDFIELD MAESTRO
Toni Kroos dictated play from the midfield.

    LATE DRAMA
Only Man Utd (4) have scored more Champions League goals in the final 5 minutes this season than Real Madrid (3).

    WONDER-STRIKE
Mendy scored a spectacular goal from the edge of the penalty area with his weaker right foot!

    FULL-TIME STATS
Real Madrid dominated the game, largely thanks to the early red card – and they finally found a breakthrough with four minutes to go.
Los Blancos more than doubled Atalanta’s possession stat and the amount of passes completed.
Atalanta did make it difficult for Zidane’s men, limiting the amount of chances the away side had inside the penalty area.
Madrid registered 15 shots off target.

    FT: ATALANTA 0-1 REAL MADRID
Well, Real Madrid found a way in the end and it took something really special from Ferland Mendy.
The left-back curled the ball into the corner of the net with his weaker right foot to win the tie.
Atalanta lasted 70, yes 70, minutes playing with ten men and unfortunately fell at the final hurdle.
Overall, it was a rather boring game, but that’s what happens when you have a team down to ten men, and another team who lack attacking options up front.
The only positive for Atalanta is that they’re still very much in this tie – they just have to go to Madrid and score goals.
Madrid look rather toothless up front, and had to rely on a wonder-strike from their left back.
    All to play for!

    PEEEEEEP!
THE REFEREE BLOWS THE FULL-TIME WHISTLE!

    ATALANTA 0-1 REAL MADRID
90+3. Courtois punches a late Atalanta free-kick clear.

    ATALANTA 0-1 REAL MADRID
    90. Three minutes to be added on at the end of the second half.

    ATALANTA 0-1 REAL MADRID
    88. Atalanta are going to have to score in Madrid, that’s the bottom line.
The red card completely changed the dynamic of the game and handed Madrid a massive, massive advantage.

    ATALANTA 0-1 REAL MADRID
    86. The corner-kick finds its way to Mendy on the edge of the Atalanta penalty area.
And the Frenchman opens up his body and curls the ball into the far corner, handing Madrid a valuable away goal!
Super finish from the left-back on his weaker right foot!

    GOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLL!!!!
    SUPER STRIKE BY MENDY!!!!
    HAMMER BLOW FOR ATALANTA!!!!

    ATALANTA 0-0 REAL MADRID
    85. Kroos receives the ball on the edge of the Atalanta penalty area, gets his head up and floats the ball towards the far post.
But Toloi heads the ball behind for a Madrid corner.
Before the corner-kick is taken, Atalanta make a double change with Ilicic and Maehle making way for Palomino and Malinovskiy.

    ATALANTA 0-0 REAL MADRID
    83. Pasalic gives Lucas what he wanted, a free-kick.

    ATALANTA 0-0 REAL MADRID
    81. Casemiro goes down in the penalty area trying to win a penalty, but the referee isn’t having any of it.
The Brazilian is already on a booking and he pleads his innocence with the referee.
Luckily for Real Madrid and Casemiro, the referee doesn’t book the midfielder for simulation – which would have resulted in a red card.

    ATALANTA 0-0 REAL MADRID
    80. We’re over the 80 minute mark……. just ten minutes left in the game and neither side has managed to find a breakthrough.

    ATALANTA 0-0 REAL MADRID
    79. The ball falls to Kroos 35 yards from goal, and the German takes the shot on.
But his effort goes comfortably wide of the far post….. you can sense a little bit of frustration in that effort.

    ATALANTA 0-0 REAL MADRID
    77. A long ball forward almost falls into the path of Mariano, but Romero sticks with him and mops up the danger.

    ATALANTA 0-0 REAL MADRID
    75. Zidane is making a double change, and interestingly, he is summoning two Madrid youngsters.
Arribas is on for Asensio and Duro is on for Isco.

    STALEMATE
We’re heading into the final 15 minutes of this Champions League knockout stage tie, and there has been NO GOALS!

    Credit: Getty Images

    ATALANTA 0-0 REAL MADRID
    73. Madrid clear the free-kick.

    ATALANTA 0-0 REAL MADRID
    72. Lucas is penalised inside his own half as the ball strikes his arm.
Atalanta have a chance to get men forward and fashion a chance! Will we see a goal? I hope so.

    ATALANTA 0-0 REAL MADRID
    71. Asensio manages to get his effort up and over the wall, but comfortably into the arms of Gollini.

    ATALANTA 0-0 REAL MADRID
    70. Gosens arrives late with a challenge on Lucas on the edge of the Atalanta penalty area.
The German goes into the book as a result.

Join us for more live blogs on SunSport tomorrow as the Europa League action continues.
    Goodnight!

    REACTION FROM MOURINHO
The Spurs boss told BT Sport:
“We got through, we won the match like we wanted, no need for emergency plan, we managed to play well for long periods.
“I believe all four goals were beautiful goals, which bring confidence to the players, for the kids of course a special night for the two that played for the first time.
(On Dele Alli) “The market closed, the (previous) injury is gone he started working with lots of motivation and its coming and that’s what we need, these are the questions I love to answer, he’s playing very, very well.”
“Of course the goal was beautiful but for me the assists and the hard work that he had for the team means more to me. The continuity in his performance makes me really happy.
(on Scarlett) “He’s a diamond, he’s a kid with incredible potential, he’s working many, many times with the first team, which gives him a different personality.
“He’s still 16, and I believe that next season he’s going to be a first team squad player. He’s going to a fantastic player.
“There is not one player here that I’m not happy with, performances were good.”

    REACTION FROM DIER
The Spurs defender told BT Sport:
“We came in with a very good result from the first leg, which helps a lot, I think we started very well, very good first 20 minutes but after that we let them get back into the game a little bit too much.
“At half time we adjusted that, second half I felt we had complete control and scored some good goals.
(on Dele Alli) “I’m delighted for him, fantastic goal, step by step he’s getting back to his best and I think that goal is another glimpse of that.
“In football everyone has a very short memory and maybe they’ve forgotten a bit about Dele’s qualities so tonight’s he’s reminded them of that and hopefully he can keep pushing and performing in the same way.
(On the Europa League) “It’s nice to have other competitions to focus on and that distraction at times is welcome, to be through to the next round is fantastic for us. We’re really focussed on this competition, it’s a great opportunity for us.”
