    ARAM AND A LEG
Man Utd are interested in signing Getafe midfielder Mauro Arambarri, according to reports.
The Premier League giants are believed to have made contact with the 25-year-old’s representatives over a possible summer move.
According to AS, the Red Devils are one of many big European clubs monitoring the Uruguay international.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, however, are said to be the most keen on a move and have made contact with Arambarri’s people.
The report claims United see him as a player that can complement Bruno Fernandes’ abilities.
And as Arambarri has a rumoured €25million release clause – around £21.5m – he would come relatively cheap in today’s market.
There are even rumours that Getafe would accept as little as £17m for the midfielder.
Mauro Arambarri, 25, is said to be a target for Manchester United
    TO BE FRANK
Frank Lampard’s “fingerprints” are all over Chelsea’s transformation despite Thomas Tuchel succeeding him in January, claims Joe Cole.
Lamps’ ex-England team-mate told the Mail: “Tuchel has come in and done an unbelievable job.
“But you can’t disregard what Frank did – holding the fort during a difficult time, getting the club to a cup final last year, getting Champions League when they had lost their best player (Eden Hazard).
“He brought in many of these young players in and put £200million of talent on the bottom line.
“They were going through a bad spell earlier in the season and that’s Chelsea – you know if you go through a bad spell you could get the sack.
“Frank’s fingerprints will be on this team but you have to credit Tuchel – to come in and have the impact he’s had is extraordinary.
“Chelsea is in a really healthy place at the moment so I am very happy, very confident.”

This is how Chelsea and Leicester start for the FA Cup final.

    UP FOR THE CUP
Leicester and Chelsea fans are enjoying a big day out at the football once again as Wembley opened its doors for the FA Cup final.
Some 21,000 fans are attending Saturday’s clash between the Premier League clubs in the capital.
It is the biggest crowd welcomed into a live event since the coronavirus pandemic led to multiple lockdowns and games being played behind closed doors.
Those trekking up Wembley Way were asked to a Covid test in the days prior to the game before a lateral flow test this morning.
The game itself kicks off at 5.15pm as Leicester look to win their first-ever FA Cup final after four defeats in the showpiece, the most recent in 1969.

    ELNENY CONTINUED
In a statement to the JC, an Arsenal spokesman said: “As with any employees of Arsenal, our players are entitled to express their views on their own platforms.
“That said, we are speaking to Mo about this so he understands the wider implications of his post.
“As a club we are committed to confronting and eliminating all forms of discrimination and continue to champion the need for equality and diversity across all areas of life.”
    MO LAUGHING MATTER
Arsenal sponsor Lavazza are holding ‘urgent talks’ with the club after a controversial tweet from Mohamed Elneny.
The Egyptian midfielder posted a pro-Palestine message amid the worsening conflict with Israel.
The Jewish Chronicle reported coffee group Lavazza’s insistence on urgent talks with the club following Elneny’s social media post.
The post included an image with the text ‘Palestine Lives Matter’ which shows an outline of Israel with pro-Palestine images within.
The Lavazza Group told the JC: “We’ll immediately reach out to Arsenal to remark we are concerned about the club associated with such a message.
“Content of this post is totally not aligned with our company values.  Lavazza Group is fully committed against racism and antisemitism.”

    FEEL THE BURN
Leeds eased to a 4-0 win away at Burnley earlier this afternoon with Spanish striker Rodrigo scoring twice.
The Whites are now two points behind ninth-placed Arsenal, and four points clear of Aston Villa in 11th.

    FOCUS ON IT
Alex Scott has been named as the new host of the BBC’s Football Focus, becoming the show’s first permanent female host in its 47-year history.
The former Arsenal and England star will take over from Dan Walker, who is stepping down after 12 years at the helm.
The 36-year-old full-back made more than 200 club appearances during her playing career, earned 140 caps for her country and represented Great Britain at the 2012 London Olympics.
Announcing the appointment in a column for BBC Sport, she wrote: “When I was a kid, I would never have watched television and thought someone like me could be presenting a programme like Football Focus.
“For the BBC to trust me with this role and allow me to be my true, authentic self means a lot.”

    SPURS RAGE
Furious Tottenham fans called for Daniel Levy to quit in protests outside the stadium.
Supporters launched flares and unleashed their anger after the recent European Super League controversy.
Tottenham fans vented their anger against chairman Levy after the recent attempt to take the club into the failed European Super League.
A Spurs fans’ group snubbed Levy’s offer of a peace summit with Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust turning down the chance to meet him.
The group insists it wants to meet owners ENIC directly to discuss the implementation of a six-point plan it has compiled “to lead the club into a new era.”
And fans put up a banner at the protest which said ‘To dare is too dear – ENIC out’.

    ZLAT’S ENOUGH
Former Man Utd striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will NOT be taking part in the delayed Euro 2020 tournament for Sweden in the summer.
The AC Milan ace will miss out due to a knee injury.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano tweeted: “Sweden have decided that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will NOT take part to the Euros.
“After the announcement of the conservative therapy needed by Zlatan to recover after his knee injury, he’ll be OUT of the Euros. Official.”
Sweden boss Janne Andersson told Expressen: “It’s sad but Zlatan is gonna miss the Euros because of his injury.”
    ERLI BID
Barcelona are keen to sell Antoine Griezmann in the summer for the right price amid their bid to sign Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland.
Barca are among Europe’s biggest hitters that are keeping tabs on Haaland, who is set to be a major talking point ahead of the summer transfer window.
But first, the Blaugrana need to raise some funds in order to meet the star striker’s staggering €150million (£129m) asking price after the coronavirus pandemic’s financial impact.
According to Matteo Moretto, who works for Italian Sky Sports and Di Marzio, the Catalan giants will listen to offers for Griezmann at the end of the season.
The talismanic forward has failed to replicate his Atletico Madrid success at the Nou Camp ever since his €120m (£108m) move two years ago.
The France international has improved this season with 19 goals and 12 assists in 49 matches across all competitions.
    FAN ZONE
Hundreds of Rangers fans gathered outside Ibrox ahead of the club’s title celebrations amid warnings from cops and politicians.
Supporters descended on the stadium first thing this morning, setting off smoke bombs and waving flags, one of them even climbed up a light post.
This week police and politicians have been warning fans NOT to march from Ibrox to George Square to celebrate Premiership trophy day this weekend.
The club asked fans to celebrate “in their community” and observe all social distancing rules.
Supporters could be seen setting off flares outside the stadium before 10am this morning.
And the crowd cheered as Steven Gerrard and the players arrived for their match against Aberdeen this afternoon.

    DREAM TEAM
Liverpool legends Robbie Fowler and Jamie Carragher have teamed up to launch a new academy at the club’s old Melwood training ground.
The Fowler-Carragher academy will host a college offering training opportunities for youngsters in the city and wider region.
The Reds left their long-standing home in August as they moved into a £50million purpose-built facility on the site of their own academy in Kirkby.
Regeneration group Torus took ownership of Melwood and developed plans for a mixed-use affordable and sustainable housing scheme with community connections.
Olympians Steve Parry and Beth Tweddle will also launch a sporting hub from the facility.

    RYAN AIR
Leicester have joined Arsenal in the bidding war over the departing Southampton ace Ryan Bertrand.
Bertrand confirmed on Wednesday that he will be leaving St Mary’s once his contract expires on June 30 and a raft of clubs have reportedly shown interest.
West Ham and Crystal Palace are said to be keeping tabs on the left-back, who will be available for a free transfer in the summer, and the same also goes for Arsenal.
The Gunners have been long-term admirers and manager Mikel Arteta is believed to still be keen on the 31-year-old.
According to the Evening Standard, the same goes for Leicester, who were linked with Bertrand last year.
Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers was reportedly open to reuniting with the player he worked with during his time at Chelsea’s coaching staff.
    PARTY ON
Jamie Vardy revealed he considered quitting Leicester to become an Ibiza party rep and laughed: ‘Thank God I didn’t.’
The striker was so down in the dumps in 2012, that he requested to be loaned back before even contemplating packing it in all together for a life on the party isle.
Ahead of Leicester’s FA Cup final with Chelsea, Vardy, 34, said: “Moving to Ibiza felt a good idea at the time. It felt a really good idea. Thank God I didn’t. It was one of those things.
“I’d never been in that environment — playing in the Championship, struggling, the performances and the goals not coming and it does make you think.
“I had a chat with Nigel Pearson at one point and I was trying to get him to loan me back to Fleetwood, just because I’d had success there.
“He said, ‘Listen, you’re good enough, just knuckle down, you can play a lot higher’. At that stage I knew he believed in me and after that it all clicked together. It was a learning curve.
“The big jump in standard took a bit of time getting used to and then the season after we got promoted.”
    RON HIS WAY?
Cristiano Ronaldo won’t be returning to Sporting Lisbon in the summer, according to his agent Jorge Mendes.
This works as a major boost for Manchester United, who are reportedly keen on a reunion with Ronaldo ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 36-year-old’s mother, Dolores Aveiro, fuelled speculation that Ronaldo could return to Sporting after they won their first Primeira Liga title for the first time in 19 years.
She said: “I’ll talk to him to bring him back. Next year he will play in Alvalade [Sporting’s stadium].”
But agent Mendes poured cold water on that prospect, as he remarked: “Cristiano is proud of the title won by Sporting, in fact, as he has publicly demonstrated.
“But at the moment his career plans do not go through Portugal.”
    SIGN ME UP
Polish side Wisla Plock have quite possibly pulled off the greatest contract renewal announcement of all time.
The Ekstraklasa outfit confirmed Piotr Tomasik’s new deal in Grand Theft Auto style.
The 33-year-old – who joined the club in 2019 – has committed his future for another campaign until 2022.
Take a look at the amazing clip below.

    HEART AND SOL
Sol Campbell met with England officials on Thursday for discussions over the vacant Under-21s job.
SunSport exclusively revealed earlier this month that the ex-Arsenal defender, 46, had thrown his hat in the ring to succeed Aidy Boothroyd.
It remains to be seen whether he will get the nod over the likes of current Under-17s chief Justin Cochrane and Liam Rosenior, who are also in the frame.
Campbell, who won 73 caps for the Three Lions, previously bossed Macclesfield and Southend.
Boothroyd is leaving this summer when his contract expires after presiding over a second successive group-stage exit from the Euros.
Prospective candidates have been encouraged to apply as the FA conducts a ‘formal open process’ to appoint the new boss.
Former Chelsea star Joe Cole spoke of his interest in the role last month but this week revealed he was given a ‘polite no’.

    VAR-CICAL
Liverpool have reportedly joined Man Utd in the race to sign Real Madrid centre-back Raphael Varane.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the Reds have held talks with the Frenchman’s entourage about a move to Anfield in the summer.
Los Blancos could cash in on the defender with the player having just a year left on his contract.
Real president Florentino Perez recently fuelled speculation the World Cup winner could depart.
He said: “Varane? I’m happy with our team. But if players don’t want to stay at Madrid they can leave.”
United are determined to sign a centre-half in the upcoming window as Ole Gunnar looks to find a partner for Harry Maguire.
    DAY AND NIGHT
RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano has revealed that he nearly joined Premier League giants Man Utd.
But his parents advised him to ‘think carefully’ about the potential move.
Upamencano will link up with Bayern Munich in the summer.
Speaking to The Athletic, the Frenchman said: “I was a young boy. I wanted to sign for them straight away. Manchester United!
“But then my parents took me aside and said: ‘Let’s think carefully about this.
“We thought about it for a long time and then decided that going ‘etape par etape’ [step by step] was the best option for me.
“Everything Ralf [Rangnick] said came true.”
    TAKE XHAK
Arsenal star Granit Xhaka is reportedly seeking an exit away from the Emirates in the summer.
The Gunners midfielder could be on of a number of players that could depart North London in what looks set to be a busy window for the Gunners.
According to The Athletic, the Swiss international ‘intends’ to leave the club he has been at since 2016.
Xhaka has arguably been Arsenal’s most consistent midfielder this season.
Should he depart, Arsenal could replace him with either Yves Bissouma or Sander Berge.
    SCOTT SAYING
EXCLUSIVE – Fulham will not sack Scott Parker despite  friction between the manager and the club’s ruling Khan family.
Owner Shahid Khan and his son Tony, the club’s controversial director of football, are fuming with their 40-year-old manager after a late-season capitulation saw them relegated with three games to go.
But former player Parker is under contract for two more years. And he will not be offered a pay-off.
Parker has voiced concerns at the lack of communication with Tony Khan, who also works for his father’s NFL franchise Jacksonville Jaguars and in American wrestling.
But it is understood Khan has no intention of stepping aside from his Fulham duties and believes that the club has backed Parker.
Scott Parker will not be sacked by Fulham despite relegation
    FOR THE PEOPLE
Brendan Rodgers claims Leicester have the backing of every neutral in the land for Saturday’s FA Cup final with Chelsea.
He said: “We would love to continue growing and be the people’s club.
“We want to be the club other supporters around the country look at and hope that their club can ‘do a Leicester.’
“People will look at Chelsea versus Leicester and they will see us as the underdog and, in most walks of life, everyone likes to see the underdog to do well.
“It has been pretty clear with the talk around the Super League and Super Clubs and how they have been defined.
“The story here since winning the title has been one that has gone round the world. What we have tried to do here is build our own map and make the club sustainable.
“I sense there is a lot of good will for a club like us challenging the elite of the game. We are the pioneers for the clubs outside the top six, as such.”
Brendan Rodgers feels neutral fans will be cheering his side on to lift the FA Cup
    SAINTS’ TLC FOR RLC
EXCLUSIVE – Ruben Loftus-Cheek has emerged as a loan target for Southampton this summer.
Saints were keen on the England midfielder a year ago but lost out when Fulham borrowed him from Chelsea.
Loftus-Cheek, 25, has struggled for form with the Cottagers, scoring just once and registering no assists as Scott Parker’s side were relegated.
Yet Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl remains a fan and is confident he can bring the best out of RLC should he land him in the close season.
The Austrian even namechecked Loftus-Cheek ahead of Saturday’s home clash with Fulham when discussing the talent at Parker’s disposal.

ANTHONY JOSHUA and Tyson Fury are training for their HUGE heavyweight world title fight.Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn says the fight will be taking place on August 14 in Saudi Arabia.
Joshua’s WBA, IBF and WBO titles are on the line with Fury’s WBC championship in a massive unification showdown.
We’ll be bringing you ALL of the latest developments on the bout plus all of the news from the world of boxing right here…
    FURIOUS PREPARATIONS
What preparations could we see from Tyson Fury in the build-up to his bout against Anthony Joshua?

    McINTYRE VS FURY
Tyson Fury has already had a brief spell in the WWE, enjoying a feud with the Colossal Braun Strowman.
But the Gypsy King has also been exchanging words with top dog Drew McIntyre!
In an interview with Steven Muehlhausen of DAZN, the former WWE champion touched on the pair’s exchange on Twitter.
“He’s [Fury] cutting promos on me the other day from Vegas,” McIntyre said. It’s pretty surreal to me. When I turn on my Twitter, and he does respond.
“It’s been over a year now that we’ve been going back and forth with each other.
“It gets people talking. I know there’s going to be a day where we finally make something happen. It’s going to be big, and ideally, I think it’s going to be in the UK.”
    NEW PLAN FOR DAN
A potential future opponent for either Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua.
Daniel Dubois has split with trainer Mark Tibbs before their first fight together as he links up instead with Shane McGuigan.
The 23-year-old decided to leave Martin Bowers and partner up with Tibbs after his defeat to Joe Joyce in November.
But six months later – and with his comeback clash against Bogdan Dinu just three weeks away – The Mail have now reported that he has changed trainer once more.
It is thought that the split between Tibbs and Dubois occurred after the trainer informed the fighter he had other commitments.
Tibbs – who also coaches fellow heavyweight Dillian Whyte – was in the corner for Billy Joe Saunders’ defeat to Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez last weekend.
Daniel Dubois has made the bold decision to change trainers twice in a matter of months

    NICK OF TIME
Tyson Fury trained with Nick Diaz and called for Dana White to ‘make the fight’ ahead of the UFC legend’s comeback.
Diaz has not fought since 2013, in a loss-turned no-contest against Anderson Silva, but the American veteran is preparing for a sensational return.
And in Miami he bumped into unbeaten WBC heavyweight champion Fury, 32, in camp himself to face Anthony Joshua, 31, on August 14.
UFC president White held a meeting with Diaz, 37, to discuss a comeback fight, and the Gypsy King warned the Stockton icon is in ‘tremendous shape’.
Fury said: “I’m here with my boy Nick, the bad man Diaz. What you saying Nick?
“We’re working hard, we’re coming for all you motherf***ers out there. You’re getting smashed to f***. You better believe it.
“Absolutely smashing it, he’s in tremendous shape, he’s ready. Make the fight Dana, make the fight.”

    GOOD MORNING BOXING FANS
Promoter Eddie Hearn believes Anthony Joshua will demolish Tyson Fury in their heavyweight showdown.
Tony Bellew has warned the Gypsy King his summer opponent Joshua is ‘training like an animal’.
Joshua is set to face Fury in a huge world heavyweight title unification in Saudi Arabia on August 14.
The date has been agreed but the contract signing still needs to be finalised over the next week.
Top Rank promoter Bob Arum is increasingly optimistic the fight will take place in August.
    MONEY MAYWEATHER
It may not be the huge super fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua but the hype is not slowing down ahead of Floyd Mayweather’s clash with YouTuber Logan Paul.
Sky Sports Box Office will be showing the fight on June 6 in Miami.
But no fixed UK price has yet been announced by Sky Sports.
The usual PPV price for Sky Sports boxing events is £19.99, although the last two Anthony Joshua fights have both been £24.99.
The likes of Badou Jack, Jean Jean Pascal and Jarrett Hurd will all feature on the undercard of the event.

    BULKING UP
One man with an eye on Anthony Joshua’s fight with Tyson Fury is Oleksandr Usyk.
And the undisputed cruiserweight king is bulking up in the gym in a bid to become the dominant force in the heavyweight division.

Usyk posed for a video of himself topless in the gym on social media before climbing on to the scales to reveal his weight as 105kg.
He then produced a bicep pose as a big grin appeared across his face before he sent out a menacing message to his new big boy rivals.
The 34-year-old said: “What’s up heavyweight? I’m here.”
    FIGHTING TALK
Top Rank promoter Bob Arum has offered an optimistic view ahead of the world heavyweight fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.
Arum recently raised doubts over the prospect of the British superstars colliding this summer.
But Arum is now positive the super fight will take place in August.
Arum told Bad Left Hook: “We sent (deal principals in Saudi Arabia) a memo, on behalf of the promotion, and they said it’s the holiday, the end of Ramadan, and nobody is in the office.
    Credit: https://www.instagram.com/anthonyjoshua/
“They need the minister of sports’ approval, and they told us we should expect an answer Saturday or Sunday.
“Friday is a holiday. So hopefully they accede to what we’ve asked for, and I’m optimistic they will.
“Then, we can do a proper announcement of the deal, not Frank (Warren, Fury’s other co-promoter) and Eddie (Hearn, promoter for Joshua) spouting off. I’m very optimistic.”
    TOP THREE
Here’s a list of Joshua, Fury and Wilder’s last ten opponents!

Tyson Fury’s recovery and road back to the top of heavyweight boxing was incredible.

    UNIFICATION TALKS
Talks between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury over their unification title fight are expected to enter crucial stages early next week.
Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed that both parties had agreed that the fight would take place in Saudi Arabia on August 14.
But there’s still things to sort out before contracts can be signed.
Hearn said: “Team Fury need to be comfortable.
“The word and feeling out of both camps should give you the security that this fight is happening and August 14 is the date.”

    A hard hitting match-up!

HEARN: JOSHUA PLANS TO ABSOLUTELY DEMOLISH FURY
Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn – who also promotes IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua – believes that his guy will “demolish” Fury in the unification fight.
The date looks set for August 14 in Saudi Arabia, and the fight will be inside a purpose-built arena.
Hearn told Sky Sports: “You will get a different AJ in this build-up.
“He’s excited because he’s never really, apart from the Dillian Whyte fight, been in a trash-talk environment. He will enjoy it.
“AJ has got the bit between his teeth, goading him a bit. I’m sure these two DM each other, goading each other.
“I get DMs from Fury – sometimes pleasant, sometimes unpleasant!
“When the announcement comes and the press conferences start, the pleasantries will go away and it will become personal.
“It doesn’t matter who respects who. Both sides are desperate to win because this is everything. There are no fun and games.
“It’s ‘them and us’. AJ will go to war with Fury. He has plans to absolutely demolish him.
“That’s what I believe he will do. In the meantime, we will go through the build-up, which will be a lot of fun, before the biggest event of 2021.”
    BATTLE OF THE BRITS
The most highly anticipated fight of the year!

    TRAINING ‘LIKE AN ANIMAL’
Tony Bellew has warned Tyson Fury that rival Anthony Joshua is “training like an animal”.
Fury – the WBC and Ring Magazine heavyweight champion of the world – is currently training in America.
But hasn’t fought since February 2020.
Speaking to TalkSPORT Breakfast on Thursday, Bellew said: “These guys are training like animals, believe you me.
“I know AJ is for the absolute fact.
“AJ is the best athlete the heavyweight division has seen since Lennox Lewis, he is that good of an athlete. So he is 365 days of the year, in shape and in camp.”
    EAST COAST
Tyson Fury is in Miami, Florida at the moment alongside his brother Tommy.
Tommy is looking to fight Youtuber Jake Paul who has taken an interest in professional boxing and has a perfect record.
Tyson has previously encouraged people like Paul to get into the ring and said it “brings more eyes to our sport”.

    GOOD MORNING FIGHT FANS
Anthony Joshua will fight Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia on August 14.Eddie Hearn confirmed the date and location of the heavyweight unification showdown on Thursday.
The promoter insisted the stadium constructed for the fight will ‘shock the world’ after the Middle Eastern nation hosted AJ’s fight with Andy Ruiz Jr at a similar temporary venue.
Hearn told Sky Sports: “August is about 23 degrees at 11pm, but they want to create something very, very special.
“Last time they built the stadium for the Andy Ruiz fight in just seven weeks and that held 18,000 and this will be a similar setup.
“They have the opportunity to hold it indoors but they want to create something that’s going to just shock the world and they want to, if they can, build another stadium just for this fight.”
    FIGHT CLUB
Let’s take a look back over Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury’s opponents in the past few years, plus Deontay Wilder’s as well.
Who do you think has proven themselves against the baddest roster?

    FAN-DEMONIUM
Eddie Hearn has opened the door to fans attending Anthony Joshua’s fight with Tyson Fury.
Saudi Arabia will host the battle of the Brits in August in a specially-built stadium.
And Hearn told BBC Sport: “The Saudi plan is to allow international travellers.
“Pandemic permitting, I’d like to think by August you’d have the ability to travel to Saudi for this fight.
“They may have precautions in place, whether that’s vaccine related or testing – I’m sure all countries will adopt different policies worldwide. But their aim is to attract overseas travellers.”
    ‘THE DREAM’
Tyson Fury has been lapping up the sun in Miami after watching Billy Joe Saunders’ fight with Canelo Alvarez on the weekend.
It looks like a nice day on the other side of the Atlantic, as he poses with bro Tommy in the sea.

    HEAVYWEIGHTS
Here’s the Tale of the Tape for Joshua-Fury. An almighty match-up.

    PAUL THE OTHER ONE
Tony Bellew has warned boxing authorities to put a stop to Jake and Logan Paul’s fight careers – and claims neither would dare call him out.
The now-retired former WBC cruiserweight champion, 38, warned that the YouTubers ‘are stupid and putting their lives at risk’.
Speaking to BBC Headliners podcast, Bellew said: “The fact of the matter is these guys aren’t fighters and aren’t true boxers, they are someone who is having a go at a sport and competing a little bit.
“Now I’ve got no problem with that but they shouldn’t actually attach themselves and call themselves professional boxers or fighters in any kind of magnitude or substance because it’s wrong what they are doing to the sport by claiming they are these fighters.”
He added: “This is all good when they are making a few quid and everyone is making some money but understand that someone is going to get hurt doing this and then it’s going to come back on boxing.
“You need to take it seriously. Boxing is a professional, dangerous and brutal business – do not mess about and try to think this is showbusiness, cameras and lights and fun and games.”

    FEEL THE HEAT
Eddie Hearn has revealed the conditions Anthony Joshua will face Tyson Fury in during this summer’s showdown.
Saudi Arabia will build a unique stadium for the clash, just as they did for AJ’s fight with Andy Ruiz Jr.
    PUT YOUR BEST FROCH ON
Elsewhere in boxing, Carl Froch could be the latest big name to dust off his gloves and come out of retirement.
The British boxing legend revealed he is in talks to land an exhibition fight with 52-year-old Roy Jones Jr.
He told talkSPORT: “Listen, we’ve been approached by a company – I won’t say who it is yet.
“They’re trying to set up one of these fights like when Roy Jones fought Mike Tyson – actually classed as an exhibition contest.
“But if I go in there and it does work out that it happens, I ain’t gonna be taking any punches on my new nose let me tell you.
“I won’t be getting that flattened.”

    REACTION FROM PEP
The City boss told Sky Sports:

ANTHONY JOSHUA and Tyson Fury are training for their HUGE heavyweight world title fight.Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn says the fight will be taking place on August 14 in Saudi Arabia.
Joshua’s WBA, IBF and WBO titles are on the line with Fury’s WBC championship in a massive unification showdown.
We’ll be bringing you ALL of the latest developments on the bout plus all of the news from the world of boxing right here…
    MONEY MAYWEATHER

“It’s pretty surreal to me. When I turn on my Twitter, and he does respond.
“It’s been over a year now that we’ve been going back and forth with each other.
“It gets people talking. I know there’s going to be a day where we finally make something happen.
“It’s going to be big, and ideally, I think it’s going to be in the UK.”
    NEVER GIVE UP
Tyson Fury’s recovery and road back to the top of heavyweight boxing was incredible.

    TALE OF THE TAPE

    ‘BEST LIFE’
Away from the pressure and tension of the fight announcement, Tyson Fury has been enjoying himself alongside brother Tommy (pictured).
The pair are seen dancing with sparklers in a bar and just generally having a good time, in a clip posted on the Gypsy King’s Instagram.

    ‘ANIMAL’
Tony Bellew has warned Anthony Joshua to expect to face a ferocious Tyson Fury on August 14.
He told talkSPORT: “Believe you me, he is in training. He looks in great shape.
“He is sparring, he’s training and he is doing everything he possibly can to be in the best shape of his life.
“Don’t believe all the hype and the smoke that they create around the training of him being in Vegas without his shirt on and all the bling. It’s nonsense!
“These guys are training like animals, believe you me. I know AJ is for the absolute fact.
“AJ is the best athlete the heavyweight division has seen since Lennox Lewis, he is that good of an athlete. So he is 365 days of the year, in shape and in camp.”
    HEARN ON FIGHT
Eddie Hearn has been speaking to Sky Sports about the fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury on August 14.
The promoter has confirmed the fight WILL take place in Saudi Arabia.
Hearn said: “You’re going to get a different AJ in this build-up.
“I think he’s excited because he’s never really – other than the Dillian Whyte fight – been in that trash talk environment.
“I think he wants to be in that environment; I think he’s got his own plans for Tyson Fury; I think he’s going to enjoy it.
“Tyson Fury is very good at what he does in and out of the ring, but I think if this fight was made six months ago, it might be slightly different now.
“AJ’s got the bit between his teeth, goading him a little bit. I’m sure these two DM each other, goading each other backwards and forwards.
“I get DMs from Tyson Fury – sometimes they’re pleasant, sometimes they’re unpleasant!
“We’re all doing all we can to make this fight and it’s going to be beneficial to them both – not just from a financial point of view, but from a legacy point of view as well.
“When the announcement comes and those press conferences start, I think the pleasantries will go away and it will become a bit personal because it doesn’t matter who respects who, both sides are absolutely desperate to win.
“This is everything; this is the undisputed heavyweight world championship. There’s no fun and games, it’s them and us.
“AJ will be going to war with Tyson Fury – and he has plans to go in there and demolish him.”
HEARN CONFIRMS FIGHT – BREAKING NEWS

    KOEMAN WANTS DEPAY
Memphis Depay is desperate to move to Catalan giants Barcelona in the summer, according to Marca.
But the move is heavily reliant on whether Ronald Koeman stays on as manager for next season.
Barcelona are not in the best shape at the moment, after bottling another lead to drop points late on in the title race.
Depay played under Koeman at international level, during the Dutch legends spell as manager.
    BUMPER CONTRACT FOR BIELSA
Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa is set to be offered a new deal after Leeds’ impressive first season back in the Premier League, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Bielsa has guided Leeds to a mid-table finish in their first season back in the Premier League.
And their free-flowing attacking football has left Leeds fans, as well as other football fans, wanting to see more of it!
    LUIZ LEAVING
David Luiz is leaving Arsenal at the end of the season, according to the Daily Mail.
The Brazilian held talks with the club today and he has notified them that he wishes to leave the Emirates this summer.
The 34-year-olds contract comes to an end this summer, ending his two year spell at the club.

    NEW DEAL
Arsenal will hand defender Calum Chambers a new contract, according to Football.London.
Chambers’ contract was due to expire at the end of next season.
But his form has changed the tide of his Arsenal career and he’s set to be handed an extension.

    MAUR THE MAN
According to Spanish newspaper Diario AS, Man Utd are interested in signing Getafe midfielder Mauro Arambarri in the summer.
The 25-year-old has impressed this season despite Getafe struggling in LaLiga.
And relegation is a possibility for the Spanish side.
Atletico Madrid are also believed to be interested in the midfielder who could be available for around £16million.
    SERGI-GO
Sergio Aguero is closing in on a free transfer to Barcelona – but could be forced into taking a 40 PER CENT pay cut.
The Manchester City legend will leave the Etihad when his contract runs out at the end of the season.
The 32-year-old Argentinian has spent ten trophy-filled years at the Etihad and is now looking for a new club.
He has held positive talks with the Spanish giants over a move this summer to link up with close pal Lionel Messi.
SunSport understands the ex-Atletico Madrid man is nearing an agreement on a two-year deal at the Nou Camp.
But he may be forced into taking a £100,000-a-week cut from the £250,000-a-week wages he earns at City.

    MASTERPIECE
Polish side Wisła Płock announced the contract extension of defender Piotr Tomasik with a GTA-inspired announcement video!
    Masterpiece.

    ICE BERG
Arsenal will have to pay Sander Berge’s full £35million release clause to land the midfielder despite Sheffield United’s relegation.
Yorkshire Live refuted claims that the Norwegian could be available for a cut-price £12m after the Blades dropped out of the Premier League.
Berge is still £10m cheaper than United’s original £45m asking price due to a relegation clause in his contract with the future Championship outfit.
Liverpool and Arsenal have both been linked with moves for the 23-year-old, who has just returned to action following a lengthy injury.
The 23-year-old appeared in the 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday in his first start since suffering a hamstring problem back in December.
The Norway international became United’s club-record signing at £22million when he joined from Genk in January 2020.
    JESSE SPEAKS
Jesse Lingard has shared a video on Twitter thanking the fans for voting him Player of the Month, as well as voting for his goal against Wolves to win Goal of the Month.
The Man Utd player – on loan at West Ham – preached a message of hope, and told fans to ‘be yourself’.
He said: “This is a great moment for me on a personal level after the difficulties of the past, so for me to pick up these two awards – POTM & GOTM – proves with a positive attitude and staying strong, you can achieve anything.
“This is for anyone who has ever been told they’re not good enough, or that they need change who they are to fit in.
“I would always say stay true to yourself, be yourself, you know, keep dancing, keep doing what you love and I’m sure you’ll reach your goals in the long run.”

This is for anyone who has ever been told they’re not good enough, or that they need change who they are to fit in.
    Jesse Lingard

    AT THE DOUBLE
Jesse Lingard was name Premier League Player of the Month earlier today,
And he has also added Goal of the Month to go alongside it! His solo effort in the win against Wolves won him the award.

    ROYAL FLUSH
Arsenal are reportedly one of a number of clubs looking to lure defender Emerson Royal away from Barcelona in the summer.
The Gunners are in the market for a new right-back with SunSport exclusively revealing Hector Bellerin is set to depart in the upcoming window.
It is understood that the Spaniard is keen for a new challenge having spent the last ten years at the Emirates.
One player that could be brought in is Brazilian star Emerson, who was first linked with the Gunners in March.
And according to Radio Castellon via Mundo Deportivo, the Gunners are weighing up a summer swoop for the 22-year-old.
However signing Emerson would prove to be tricky, with the player co-owned by both Real Betis and Barcelona.
    POTM
Jesse Lingard – on loan at West Ham – has won Premier League POTM for April!
The midfielder scored four, including a stunning solo goal away at Wolves, and provided one assist.

    GUEN’s THE MAN
French side Marseille are eyeing up a move for Arsenal outcast Matteo Guendouzi, according to reports.
La Provence are reporting that Marseille are looking to move for the 22-year-old who lost his way under Mikel Arteta.
The Frenchman found himself in hot water after his performance against Brighton last season.
And he was loaned at in the summer to Bundesliga outfit Hertha Berlin, where he has made 24 appearances so far this season.
The Berlin-based club are believed to have an option to by the midfielder for £29million, but it is unclear whether they will follow through with the deal.
Marseille are currently sat 5th in Ligue 1, and they are on course to qualify for the Europa League – which could lure the £40,000-per-week star to France.
    LINGARD STAY?
Former Leeds United midfielder Carlton Palmer believes that West Ham won’t be able to afford Jesse Lingard this summer.
And that could mean that Lingard stays at Man Utd.
Speaking to Football FanCast, Palmer explained: “don’t think they’ll be able to get Lingard on a permanent deal. I think he’s played his way back into the Manchester United starting line-up.
“He we will have to see how he does, but he will probably start at the Euros.
“Manchester United are a massive club and West Ham just don’t pay that type of money on a regular basis and David Moyes knows that.”

    WRIGHT WARNS AGAINST SIGNING CEBALLOS
Arsenal Legend Ian Wright has warned against signing on-loan Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos in the summer.
Wright believes that Arsenal have some very talented players who could fill the void left by the Spaniards departure.
Speaking to Premier League Productions, Wright said: “I don’t think we should be signing Ceballos, I just don’t think he’s what we need now.
‘I think that we’ve got young players coming through who should get an opportunity in front of Ceballos.
“If he’s going to do anything to stay at Arsenal, it would’ve been seen already by now.”

    LLORENTE ON THE RADAR

“For a club like Manchester United, it’s a results industry. Without question. If you don’t get results, questions are going to be asked.
“He is getting results and has really done very well and, which is really important for this club, is to introduce young people.
“He has given young players a chance. I think that will always be the foundation of Manchester United.

“The attitude was right and the focus was fine, we were ready for it. We didn’t build on the good times.
“We should have gone more for it at the start of the game. Sometimes we let them off the hook and let them play out.
“Tuesday. We need to find ourselves straight away. We need to build that momentum and confidence. We should go into that final ready.”

“There have been games where I watched him and thought I would have hated to play against him. He’s got all the attributes.
“But there are other times when he gets into what I would call ‘Arsenal mode’.
“I don’t want to see him like that, I want to see him high energy in that midfield running games. Next season that is what he needs to do.
“He needs to come into next season absolutely flying because his performances have been too up and down for my liking.
“But next year we will see the real Thomas Partey.”

Everton jumped Mikel Arteta’s side in the table last night with a 0-0 draw at Aston Villa.
Arsenal sit ninth despite a crucial 1-0 win at Chelsea which reignited their European hopes.
Meanwhile, Arsenal’s new away kit was leaked yesterday and there may be more news on that front soon…

Real Betis favourite Finidi George has told Nabil Fekir to keep working hard if he wants to earn a move to Arsenal.
Previously linked with the Gunners and Liverpool, Fekir has hit four goals for Betis this season.
And ex-Nigeria international George told Tribal Football: “Nabil is young and he is a good player.
“If he keeps working hard, keeps his cool and is disciplined, I think he might play for top clubs in Europe.
“Going to Arsenal or Real Madrid depends on him. I think he has the quality. If he has the mindset, I think he can make it.
“He has to continue to do his best for his club and hopefully the bigger clubs will come one day knocking at the door.”
    FULL-TIME AT OLD TRAFFORD
Liverpool have claimed a 4-2 win over Manchester United, in a blow to Arsenal’s European football bid.
Roberto Firmino’s double, plus goals from Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah, cap a comeback win to put the Reds within a shout of a top four finish.
But they are now five points clear of Arsenal, who only have two left to play, making fifth place all but over for the Gunners.

    ‘JOKE CLUB’
Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has launched a scathing attack on Arsenal and Mikel Arteta.
Speaking on talkSPORT, he dubbed the Gunners a ‘joke club’ who are going ‘backwards’ because of those at the top of the organisation.
Jordan remarked: “The fact of the matter is that despite advancing the thought that Mikel Arteta was going to be a good manager, by people like me… I’m beginning to think that’s unwinding
“But I also think the reason for that is that Arsenal are a joke football club right now, in lots of ways.
“They’ve got an owner who is disengaged and happy with mediocrity. A director of football who I don’t think is pulling up any trees. And a manager who sounds good on paper, but when it comes down to it, I’m not sure he’s got the chops to do what Arsenal need him to do.
“Arsenal have just gone in a self-appointed organisation of the top six clubs… but they’ve worked their way backwards in the league and they are now a big club in image and reputation alone, because they are not a big club in any other department right now.”
    STILL INTER YOU
Thomas Partey is being eyed by Serie A champions Inter Milan, according to reports.
Spanish site Fichajes reckon Antonio Conte is a huge fan of the midfielder and could be considering a summer swoop.
    HART TO ART
Mikel Arteta has been backed to keep his job despite a ‘disappointing’ season.
Former Arsenal striker John Hartson has credited the coach with improving over the course of the campaign with the win over Chelsea an example of his progress.
The Welshman told PA Media: “I’m not saying he has had a great season because it’s been disappointing. But he’s a young manager and there have been some positives and improvements as well.
“The club made the decision to bring him in and I think they’ll back him. I think that’s the right thing to do.
“I know people are suggesting he’s not experienced enough, but he’s made some big calls in terms of leaving players out. He’s shown that steeliness you need when you become a manager.
“He showed again at Chelsea that he can win the big games when Arsenal are disciplined and defend properly.”

    DON’T ZETTE ON IT
Alexandre Lacazette could be sold in the summer as Arsenal reportedly consider cashing in on the striker.
Despite a strong season in front of goal, the Frenchman may be let go ahead of his contract expiring in 2022.
According to the Telegraph, he is ‘unlikely’ to be offered a new deal by the Gunners.
    FULL-TIME AT VILLA PARK
A 0-0 draw between Aston Villa and Everton drops Arsenal into ninth place.
The Toffees nudge up a position but will be ruing a missed opportunity to gain major ground in the race for Europe.

    AUBA IT
Glenn Hoddle has backed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after his glum reaction to being substituted last night.
The striker cut a forlorn figure after being subbed in the 79th minute, and former midfielder and manager Hoddle insisted it was far better than him being delighted.
He said: “I wouldn’t be to bothered about that.
“I’d be absolutely distraught if I’ve got a smiling player coming off the pitch. That would concern me and say he doesn’t care enough, he’s happy to come off.
“You want that, they’ll be alright.
“Tactically I thought it was the right thing to do from the manager’s point of view he got it spot on. If it was 0-0 at half-time Arsenal wouldn’t have played like that but they had something to hold on to.”

    COURTOIS REACTS
Real Madrid star Thibaut Courtois insists Los Blancos need to maintain pressure on LaLiga leaders Atletico Madrid.
Courtois said: “We have to keep pressuring Atleti, we have to show them that we are close and they cannot make a mistake.
“Osasuna and Valladolid are going to give their lives to win. Atleti feels strong, the only thing we can do is win ourselves. Let’s start with Athletic [Bilbao], which is a strong game and then we’ll see.
“The second half was not so good, we had a warning with Luis Suarez before 1-2, we missed a lot of passes but we found 1-3 well, I had to make three stops later with 1-4, that can’t be. We cannot relax.
“There are counter-attacks and the defenders have to cover, there is little recovery time and you have to go to the death”

    SORO REACTS
Granada ace Alberto Soro stated he is proud of his team despite the outcome of the match and insisted the result doesn’t reflect the hosts’ performance.
Soro said: “What was seen in the field has not been reflected in the result.
“We have had occasions, but we have not materialised them. We believed that we could win. We lacked success in the final meters, but proud of the team.
“We have always been in the party, they are our values. Grant opportunities with this team are paid. They are one of the best in the world and they submit to you, we had to endure the result more, but it could not be.
“We have had an extraordinary season. We have to compete every game, it has been a tough season with three competitions. I am proud of the team”
