    UNTIL NEXT TIME
Wow, that got tense even for me as a neutral.
It looked as if Real Madrid were going to go into the final match-day with the advantage but Luis Suarez was on hand to save the day for his new club yet again.
The Uruguyan’s former club Barcelona had a shocker against Celta Vigo meaning they have dropped out of the title race and Sevilla lost to Villarreal so their fate was the same.
There’s only a couple points in it for all aspects of the table; The title, the Europa League spots and the relegation battle.
It’s all to play for next weekend.
Thanks for tuning in people, but we are not done yet so make sure to meet me here next Sunday too!

    KEY FINAL FIXTURES
Atletico Madrid will fancy their chances of securing the La Liga once and for all because they travel to play against a Real Valladolid side who just received a 4-1 hammering against Real Sociedad.
This could possibly be the end of Valladolid’s reign in Spain’s top tier.
As for Real Madrid, their final day fixture is a little trickier because Zidane’s men face Unai Emery’s Villarreal who are flying high at the moment.
The two other teams fighting for safety are Elche who have a tough trip to Athletic Bilbao and SD Huesca who will be hosting Valencia.

    SUAREZ SPEAKS
This isn’t the man of the moment Luiz Suarez first rodeo when it comes to battling it out for the league which is why he gave tips on what how to achieve it in his post-match intrview.
If you are going to win the title you have to suffer and today we did that. But obviously we’re very happy with the sacrifices we have put in this season because that makes sure the club can secure the objectives they want to achieve.Luis SuarezLaLigaTV
    TABLA DE LIGA ACTUALIZADA
This is what the results mean for the current league standings.
Luis Suarez’ winner against Osasuna means that as long as Atletico Madrid better or get the same result as their rivals from down the road, the title will be heading to Wanda Metropolitano.
Real Sociedad, Real Betis and Villareal all gained three points meaning that the spots for Europe will go down to the wire.
Looking at the bottom three, Elche’s three points have kept them fighting and despite Real Valladolid suffering a defeat, they still have the opportunity to stay in the division.
As for Eibar, the loss to Valencia was the final nail in the coffin because their 6-year-run in La Liga has come to an end.

    SUAREZ THE SAVIOUR
No player has gained more points for their team than Luis Suarez (19) which means that the Uruguayan has equalled Youssef En Nesyri’s all-time record.

    RESULTS AROUND LA LIGA
All that drama and there is still one more game to go.
    Incredible.

    SENSATIONAL SUAREZ
The Atletico Madrid Twitter admin enjoyed that one.

    ATLETICO 2-1 OSASUNA
    90+4. WHAT A SAVE OBLAK!
Avila saw his name up in lights as the midfielder went for a long range effort.
But Jan Oblak in between the Atletico sticks managed to not only keep it out, the keeper was also able to pounce on it too.
That should be it for Madrid.
    TIDY HIM UP
Lionel Messi has the look of a defeated man.

    GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!
    IT’S THREE GOALS FOR ELCHE!
AND THAT SHOULD BE THREE POINTS!
    BARCA 1-2 CELTA VIGO
    88. A cross came in from Augusto Solari which somehow managed to smash the post.
And then Santi Mina was first to react to a loose ball putting Barcelona on the back-foot and out of the title race.
    GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!
AND LUIS SUAREZ’ FORMER TEAM HAVE CONCEDED!
    HOW IRONIC IS THIS!

    ATLETICO 2-1 OSASUNA
    87. Diego Simeone mentioned the Luis Suarez zone (12-yard-box) and he was right.
The forward took his shot superbly and that could be crucial in the home side lifting the title next weekend.

AND FIRED THEM BACK INTO TOP SPOT!
    WOW!
    ATLETICO 1-1 OSASUNA

Real Madrid are ahead in their match and ahead in the league.
Are Atletico Madrid going to bottle it yet again?

    ATLETICO 0-1 OSASUNA
    77. Ante Budimir has dealt Atletico Madrid a huge blow in their chances to clinch the title.
It was a fantastic header which Oblak looked like he had saved but when you see the replays, it clearly went over the line.
What this now means is that Atletico Madrid are now a point behind Real Madrid at the top of the table.
    GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!
ANOTHER ABSOLUTELY HUGE TWIST IN THE TITLE RACE!
AS ATLETICO MADRID HAVE GONE BEHINDDDDDDD!
    DEPORTIVO 4-2 GRANADA
    72. Luis Rioja almost but confirms Deportivo’s safety with their fourth of the game.
    GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!
    DEPORTIVO ALAVES BAG THEIR FOURTH!
IT REALLY IS HOTTING UP IN LA LIGA!
    ALL OVER THE TABLE TOO!
    ATHLETIC BILBAO 0-1 REAL MADRID
    68. This goal is huge because it draws the away side level with Atletico Madrid at the top of the leaderboards.
However, if it was to stay like this at the end of next weekend, Real Madrid would win the title on the head-to-head rule.
La Liga is really hotting up at the moment.
    GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!
A HUGE, CRITICAL, MASSIVE STRIKE FROM NACHO IN THE TITLE RACE!
BECAUSE REAL MADRID HAVE TAKEN THE LEAD AGAINST BILBAO!

    BOTTOM OF THE BAREL
Readers, I just wanted to give you guys a quick heads up as to what is going on at the bottom of the La Liga pyramid.
As I previously stated, there are currently six teams staring relegation in the face so this could be the most intense relegation battle ever.
At the moment, Real Valladolid, Elche and Eibar all occupy spots in the drop zone but SD Huesca, Getafe and Deportivo Alaves are dangerously flirting with it too so a couple of poor results in the remaining fixtures could be difference in staying afloat or drowning.
However victories for Alaves and Getafe would guarantee both sides safety leaving only one more spot available to stay up.
Make sure to stay tuned because I will be definitely be keeping an eye on what’s happening down in the pits of hell.

    EL PISTOLERO
Or better known as Luis Suarez, is the man who was forced out of Barcelona and is on the verge of leading his new employers Atletico Madrid to their first La Liga title in just under a decade.
The Uruguayan was nicknamed EL Pistolero (‘gunfighter’) because of how clinical he is in front of goal and these statistics definitely back that up.

    FELIZ CUMPLEANOS FELIPE

I bet he never asked for anything other than three points this evening.

    ATLETICO XI
(4-4-2) Oblak, Trippier, Savic, Felipe, Hermoso, Llorente, Koke, Saul, Carrasco, Correa, Suarez

    CUE THE STARTING LINE-UPS!
    OSASUNA SQAUD UPDATE
The visitors will be travelling to the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in numbers because 99% of their players are fit and ready to go.
However, the second in command goalkeeper, Ruben Martinez is yet to get over his fractured hand so the 36-year-old will remain on the treatment table.
And right-back Nacho Vidal is facing a one-match ban for picking up ten yellow cards in the season.
    ATLETICO MADRID TEAM NEWS
Diego Simeone only has to deal with one absentee in Thomas Lemar for the clash against Osasuna who is still struggling a hamstring problem.
Apart from that, the Atletico boss should have a full-strength side to select from.
    WHAT A WANDAFUL STADIUM
Estadio Wanda Metropolitano is the home ground of Atletico Madrid and if Los Rojiblancos play their cards right, it could also be the home of the La Liga title by the end of next weekend.

ATLETICO MADRID VS OSASUNA CURRENT FORM
The hosts haven’t put together a perfect run of results going into this evening’s game but four wins and a draw against Barcelona in their last six isn’t the worst either.
However, Diego Simeone’s men did suffer a 2-1 defeat against Athletic Bilbao towards the end of April but with the way things are starting to turn out, the Madrid gaffer would have jotted that down as a slight blip in the title hunt.
Osasuna aren’t doing too bad themselves. Los Rojillos are comfortably sitting in 11th position with no pressure on them what so ever. But Jagoba Arrasate’s men have only picked up one win in their last four matches so he’ll want his side to improve so they can have a strong ending to the season.

    VICTORIOUS VIGO
If Celta Vigo are to stand any chance of qualifying for next season’s Europa League, they’ll need history to repeat itself from their last masterclass at the Camp Nou.

    RACE FOR EUROPA
The crown jewel isn’t the only thing that has still been undecided this campaign.
Just below the La Liga title race, there’s a fierce battle brewing for a place in next season’s Europa League (EL) and it is almost at boiling point.
Celta Vigo, Real Betis, Real Sociedad, and this year’s finalist Villarreal are all still in contention to secure a spot in Europe but with only two games remaining, it’s Sociedad who are currently first in the pecking order.
However, Unai Emery has led his side to the final of EL after slaying his former club Arsenal in the semi’s, so should The Yellow Submarine go all the way and win the competition, Villarreal would gain automatic qualification for the Champions League which then presents the opportunity for one of the other three teams to sneak in through the European back door.
As I mentioned earlier, there are only 6 points which separates 5th spot from 8th so you would be a brave human to bet your money on who will come out on top.
    ROAD TRIP
Atletico Madrid are speeding in the fast lane with only a couple junctions left until they reach their exit which leads to the La Liga title.
But will the car have enough gas in the tank to make it there or will it run out of fuel?

    FOUR HORSE RACE
In your average footballing year, you could argue that La Liga would have normally been wrapped up already by either Barcelona or Real Madrid especially at this late stage of the season.
But the universe has conjured up some unpredictable things of late such as Covid-19 and stadiums with no fans so it makes sense as to why Simeone’s side are currently sitting top of the charts and Sevilla are still in the run-in to win the league because again, this adds to the unpredictability.
Atletico Madrid have always been labelled as the dark horses of the division because they often give both the Spanish giants a run for their money but they quite often fall short at the final hurdle.
However on this occasion, only two more victories are needed for them to clinch the league title or better yet, it could be handed to them should the teams below continue to slip-up.
The Rojiblancos are third in the all-time winners list having secured 10 La Liga titles in their entire history but the most recent one came seven years ago in 2014 so Simeone will be desperate to put that drought to an end.
Despite Atletico Madrid being so close to obtaining silverware, the teams chasing them know a thing or two on what it takes to win titles.
Sevilla were last crowned Champions of Spain back in the 1945/46 season but they most certainly shouldn’t be written off because since then, Los Nervionenses have lifted the Europa Cup a record six times winning three of them in a row.
Barca have been the victors of La Liga a whopping 27 times ranking them second in the charts and Los Blancos have won it the most with 34 titles to their name so Atletico fans it’s not over until it’s over I’m afraid.

    TABLA DE LA LIGA
Five points separates 20th to 15th.
There’s only a seven point gap between 14th and 9th.
Six points is the difference between 8th and 5th.
Then finally Sevilla would need six points to jump from 4th to the top.
When I say a lot of places are up for grabs, I really meant it.

Man Utd target Sancho ‘dreaming of Premier League’ transfer, Maguire ‘positive’ about ankle injury, Haaland LATEST

MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly in talks with Raphael Varane ahead of a potential move for the Real Madrid star. However, the clubs remain apart in their valuation of the defender, with United reportedly offering £40m and Real Madrid wanting £60m.
Meanwhile the German press claim Jadon Sancho is dreaming of a Premier League move.

    OLE’S MESSAGE
Take a look at what Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had to say in his press conference!
𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞That was the message from Ole in today’s #UEL press conference, ahead of the final in Gdansk ⬇#MUFC— Manchester United (@ManUtd) May 16, 2021

    BIG MONEY SIGNINGS
Lots and lots of money has been spent!

    SAN THE MAN
Liverpool are reconsidering a move for Borussia Dortmund and England forward Jadon Sancho, according to reports.
The 21-year-old has scored 16 goals and provided a further 18 assists in 36 games for the German side this season.
And his supreme form has caught the eye of Premier League sides Manchester United and Chelsea.
But after passing up any interest in him last season, Bild reporter Christian Faulkner has revealed that Liverpool are now back in the running for the talented youngster.
He said: “That is indeed, true, Liverpool are looking at Sancho again.
“He is on the list, especially because they don’t know what will happen with [Mohamed] Salah, who is always a bit on the move and thinking about a transfer.
“Chelsea are also very interested, as we have reported, and also Spain lures him again and again.
“If Salah were to be sold or he says he doesn’t want to be at the club any more then there would surely be movement on Sancho with Liverpool.”
Man Utd were heavily linked with Sancho throughout last summer as Dormund set an asking price of more than £100million.
But it is thought that the Bundesliga side could lower the price to as much as £50m this time around.

    WONDERKID
Mason Greenwood has had a fantastic second half to the 2020/21 season.
The 19-year-old has scored 12 goals and provided six assists across all competitions.

    MAGUIRE UPDATE
Harry Maguire is positive that he will make the Europa League final.
Maguire is on crutches and is wearing a protective boot after damaging ankle ligaments just over a week ago against Aston Villa.
It left manager Ole Solskjaer fearing the worst ahead of the final against Villarreal in Gdansk a week on Wednesday.
But the latest update has been more positive and Solskjaer says he will give his captain right up until the last minute to prove his fitness.
Solskjaer said: “When I spoke to him this morning he was positive.
“Naturally the day after he was injured everyone was very down.
“But we decided we had to focus and be positive and think he is going to make it.
“He is making progress but we have consciously made the decision not to test him out too early.
“Hopefully we will have good news but I will give it as long as possible because we know his importance.
“We have known that for a long time but maybe people appreciate it more when he is not playing.
“I became a very good player when I was injured because people realised what I could do as a sub and what I was as a player.”
United have conceded six goals in two games since Maguire’s injury losing both to Leicester and Liverpool.
    SERIAL WINNERS
Man Utd have made good progression under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and they’ve got the chance to add another Europa League to the trophy cabinet before the end of the season!

    MESSI TO MANCHESTER
Lionel Messi’s camp have ‘put feelers out’ to Man Utd and Chelsea over a potential transfer, according to the Daily Express.
Messi could leave Barcelona this summer with his contract running out at the end of June.
Pep Guardiola’s Man City remain keen on the global superstar, with Pep keen to reunite with one of the greatest of all time.
And today could be Messi’s last appearance at the Camp Nou as a Barcelona player against Celta Vigo.
    GOAL OF THE SEASON
Does Anthony Martial’s strike against Southampton win Goal of the Season, Man Utd fans?

    CUP UPSET
Rio Ferdinand revealed his regret at never winning the FA Cup and admitted: ‘It still grates’.
The Manchester United legend won six Premier League titles, two League Cups and one Champions League during his time at Old Trafford.
But he never once lifted the oldest prize in the book, losing in finals against Arsenal in 2005 and Chelsea in 2007.
In the latter loss Didier Drogba’s extra-time winner meant Ferdinand had to settle for a silver medal, and he still struggles with it.
He said on BT Sport during yesterday’s final: “It still grates, definitely. I’m sitting here looking at it (the trophy) and I want to launch it.
“They were bad moments. I was lucky enough to win quite a lot of stuff in my career.
“But I tell you, I probably spend more time even in retirement thinking about not getting my hands on that trophy.”
“Sitting here looking at the trophy, I want to launch it!””You just want the ground to swallow you up, it’s terrible.”@rioferdy5 never tasted glory in an #EmiratesFACup final…And it’s clear the feeling of getting so close still hurts. pic.twitter.com/yvtHLo8N2e— Football on BT Sport (@btsportfootball) May 15, 2021

    VA VA VOOM
Man Utd are holding talks with Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane, according to the Manchester Evening News.
But the Red Devils are joined in the pursuit for the World Cup winning defender by rivals Liverpool.
The report states that Man Utd will go ‘all out’ for a centre-back this summer, as they look to close the gap on champions-elect Man City.
And with a year left on his current deal, Real could struggle to command a high transfer fee.
The Frenchman could decide to see next season out and leave for free.
    ‘IT MIGHT NOT BE POSSIBLE’
Former Sunderland striker Kevin Phillips believes that West Ham may not be able to sign Jesse Lingard permanently this summer.
Phillips believes finances will get in the way of Lingard making the permanent move from Manchester to London.
Speaking to Football Insider, he said: “Financially, signing Lingard, it might not be possible.
“It might be hard to sign him even if they do make the Champions League, which isn’t great if you’re a supporter.
“It was another blow for them against Brighton which is a shame because what a story it would be if they got Champions League football.
“Either way, West Ham will look at signing him. Financially, if it’s not viable and it will break the bank, they won’t do it.
“Especially in today’s climate. Champions League does help so it will be interesting to see what happens there.”
    MAIN MAN BRUNO
Bruno Fernandes has the most goals and assists for Man Utd in the Premier League!
He has been phenomenal yet again this season.

    HAIRAWAY THE LADS!
Newcastle boast the highest number of bald fans in the Premier League — with many blaming the stress of supporting them.
A poll found 49 per cent of followers of the Toon Army have lost their locks — above the national average for men of 39 per cent.
And the average for Premier League fans is 30 per cent.
Researchers at BuzzBingo.com asked 2,000 male Premier League fans if they are bald or balding and asked which club they support.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Man Utd side are in 8th spot with 36 per cent of their supporters sporting a bald look.

    ARAM AND A LEG
Man Utd are interested in signing Getafe midfielder Mauro Arambarri, according to reports.
The Premier League giants are believed to have made contact with the 25-year-old’s representatives over a possible summer move.
According to AS, the Red Devils are one of many big European clubs monitoring the Uruguay international.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, however, are said to be the most keen on a move and have made contact with Arambarri’s people.
The report claims United see him as a player that can complement Bruno Fernandes’ abilities.
And as Arambarri has a rumoured €25million release clause – around £21.5m – he would come relatively cheap in today’s market.
There are even rumours that Getafe would accept as little as £17m for the midfielder.
Mauro Arambarri, 25, is said to be a target for Manchester United
    CUP UPSET
Rio Ferdinand has revealed his regret at never winning the FA Cup and admitted: ‘It still grates’.
The Manchester United legend won six Premier League titles, two League Cups and one Champions League during his time at Old Trafford.
But he never once lifted the oldest prize in the book, losing in finals against Arsenal in 2005 and most recently to Chelsea in 2007.
That day, Didier Drogba’s extra-time winner meant Ferdinand had to settle for a silver medal, and still struggles to live it down to this day.
He said on BT Sport: “It still grates, definitely. I’m sitting here looking at it (the trophy) and I want to launch it.
“They were bad moments. I was lucky enough to win quite a lot of stuff in my career.
“But I tell you, I probably spend more time even in retirement thinking about not getting my hands on that trophy.”
    GOOD MORNING UNITED FANS
Edinson Cavani will hit a six-figure jackpot if he is a chart-topper in his second season at Old Trafford.
The Manchester United striker agreed a deal to stay for another 12 months, as Sunsport revealed he had been offered a pay hike to £250,000-a-week.
And the Uruguay forward could earn close to the same again in bonuses if he is in the goals next season.
Cavani, 34, will pick up an extra £100,000 if he is United’s leading scorer – and a similar amount if he ends up as the Premier League’s Golden Boot winner.
It is also understood that United will promise the South American a rolling annual review, which could even see him staying in England for another season beyond the next one.
Meanwhile, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted that Manchester United miss club captain Harry Maguire.
He said: “Harry [Maguire] has been really important for us so of course we’re going to miss him but he’s out so we have to deal with that.
“It’s about regrouping and building our own confidence again as we have two games and a final.
“The attitude was right and the focus was fine, we were ready for it. We didn’t build on the good times.
“We should have gone more for it at the start of the game. Sometimes we let them off the hook and let them play out.
“Tuesday. We need to find ourselves straight away. We need to build that momentum and confidence. We should go into that final ready.”And finally, United are reportedly in ‘pole position’ for signing Jadon Sancho.
Sport1 claim the winger is keen on making a switch to Old Trafford as United ‘will remain’ the club of his choice.
The report adds that talks between the Red Devils and the Borussia Dortmund star’s agent are ‘already underway.’

“Tuesday. We need to find ourselves straight away. We need to build that momentum and confidence. We should go into that final ready.”
    EDS GONE
Edinson Cavani has launched a scathing double attack on VAR and the failed Super League project.
Uruguay international Cavani hit out in an interview with South American outlet DosDePunta: “When the Super League came around I told myself: ‘That can’t be possible – if it happens, what can we expect next?’
“I don’t share its ideas at all. I am not in agreement with it.
“You mustn’t deprive more modest teams the chance of playing in the Champions League.
“Or stop average clubs from dreaming of competing with the bigger ones, and having a place among the elite.
“You can’t deny fans of these clubs the chance to have this experience.”

    MOUR SAINTS
Jose Mourinho wants to take Newcastle winger Allan Saint-Maximin to Italy as part of his Roma revolution, according to reports.
The former Man Utd boss will take over the sleeping Serie A giants in the summer.
It is understood Mourinho, 58, will be given a healthy transfer budget to get the Giallorossi into the Champions League.
And, according to Corriere della Sera, the Portuguese boss has identified the tricky Toon winger as a top target.
    CHELSEA 0 LEICESTER 1
Youri Tielemans glorious strike gave Leicester FA Cup final glory at the fifth attempt as Chelsea had a last-minute goal controversially ruled out on VAR.
Tielemans hit a 25-yard top-corner special on 63 minutes – before the video assistant referee adjudged Blues’ sub Ben Chilwell millimetres offside when his cross was deflected home by Foxes’ sub Wes Morgan.

    A STEP TOO VAR
Manchester United will need to bid £60million to if they want to sign Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane, according to reports.
The Red Devils are believed to be interested in the France international but their rumoured £40m bid will not be enough to sign him.
According to Spanish newspaper AS, Real Madrid want €70m – around £60m – for Varane, who is out of contract at the end of next season.

    CAMPBELL ‘WOULD LOVE’ GREALISH
Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell “would love” for Arsenal to sign Aston Villa’s main man Jack Grealish.
I would love Arsenal to make a move for Grealish but I don’t think the club could afford him at the moment,” Campbell told Football Insider.
“He has proved to be a world-class player this season. He is very consistent with his performances and he is only young.
“What a huge difference he has made to Aston Villa this year.
“I think any one of the big boys would look at him. I wouldn’t put it past Manchester City to sign him, even though they have a wealth of attacking talent. I could see him there.
“Listen, that would be making the strong stronger. It could be an embarrassment of riches.
“You have to keep strengthening. If you don’t, you are standing still and others will catch you.”

    JOT-TEN LUCK
Diogo Jota will miss Liverpool’s remaining fixtures due to a foot injury, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed.
In Thursday’s derby win over Manchester United, the Portuguese star netted the equaliser but was subbed off late on.
And he was missing from the teamsheet announcement on Sunday as Liverpool took on relegated West Brom.
Klopp said: “No good thing without a bad thing – so, we won at Manchester United but Diogo got something with the bone.
“Not too serious but serious enough to end the season. That’s it.”
    DRAG RACE
Crystal Palace hope to snap up Romanian centre-half Radu Dragusin from Juventus at the second attempt.
The Eagles missed out when Dragusin, 19, re-signed with the Italian giants last month while they teed up a summer bid.
But now Dragusin could be available on a season’s loan and Palace may swoop to boost their backline.
Juve could be willing to offload the teenager as they look for him to get regular first-team football.
The Romania youth international has appeared in just one Serie A game this term.
    SAN THE MAN
Liverpool are reconsidering a move for Borussia Dortmund and England forward Jadon Sancho, according to reports.

    BIG BUYS
Paul Pogba is the most expensive Premier League transfer to date.

    DEAL OR NO DEAL?
Arsenal have denied receiving a £2bn takeover approach from Spotify founder Daniel Ek’s consortium.
But the Swedish billionaire, 38, hit back and insisted he DID table a bid to buy the Premier League side from unpopular owner Stan Kroenke.
In a statement released on Saturday evening, he said: “This week an offer was made to both Josh Kroenke and their bankers that included ownership, representation at the board and a golden share for the supporters.
“They replied they don’t need the money. I respect their decision but remain interested and available should that situation ever change.”

    CAM AND GET ME
Arsenal have reportedly been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Eduardo Camavinga with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich looking to sign the Rennes ace.
The Ligue 1 side are poised to cash in on the French midfielder in the summer with the 18-year-old having just one year left on his contract.
It has been claimed that the France international is refusing to commit his future to Rennes, leading to a number of clubs to weigh up an offer.
Mikel Arteta is rumoured to have made Camavinga his No1 target with the Gunners doing ‘everything they can’ to nab him.
But according to Marca, they are in competition with Bundesliga champions Bayern and LaLiga giants Real.
    OUT THE DOOR
Willian could leave Arsenal this summer, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
According to Romano, a host of European clubs, and David Beckham’s Inter Miami wanted to sign the Brazilian last summer.
But Arsenal won the race for the former Chelsea player.
Willian scored his first goal for Arsenal in last Sunday’s 3-1 win against West Brom.

    TAM TO GO
Tammy Abraham’s girlfriend has criticised Thomas Tuchel after the Chelsea boss left the England striker out of their 20-man FA Cup final squad.
The 23-year-old hasn’t featured much under the German manager since he was appointed in January, casting doubt over his long-term future.
After hearing the news of her boyfriend’s exclusion, Leah Monroe took to Instagram to complain about Tuchel’s decision.
She wrote on a story: “How on earth do you make the decision to leave your top goal scorer out of the squad for a final?
“The same person who even scored the goals to actually qualify for this competition?
“It’s not making any sense whatsoever.”
Abraham is Chelsea’s joint-leading scorer in all competitions this season with 12, despite his lack of game time under Tuchel.

    ARSENAL EYE BERTRAND
Arsenal are interested in signing Southampton left-back Ryan Bertrand this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
And the 31-year-old will be available for free, after announcing he will be leaving the Saints.
The Gunners are looking to strengthen the left side of defence, to provide cover for left-back Kieran Tierney.
According to the report, Man City are also interested in Bertrand.
    AMA GO CRAZY
Thomas Amartey casually tossed Chelsea’s official FA Cup final pennant over his shoulder in celebration at Leicester’s Wembley win.
A Youri Tielemans screamer gave the Foxes their first FA Cup triumph on Saturday, with help from a tight VAR call that ruled out a late equaliser.
It sparked wild celebrations from the players and thousands of fans allowed inside the stadium.
In the dressing room, the squad revelled in their win with footage posted online including an Instagram Live by Wesley Fofana.
The French defender filmed Amartey, who was an unused substitute in the game, grab the Blues pennant and toss it over his shoulder, to loud laughter from his team-mate.
The players also sung and danced along to the Neil Diamond classic Sweet Caroline as the celebrations continued.

    ZI-DONE
Zinedine Zidane will not continue as Real Madrid manager beyond this season, according to reports.
The announcement was apparently made to the Madrid squad ahead of the clash with Sevilla last week.
The Frenchman has a year left on his remaining contract but he is set to resign as manager of the club for a second time, claims Goal.
Zidane led Los Blancos to the Champions League semi-final for a fourth time this term, but was defeated by Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea.
He still has a chance of winning LaLiga for the third time, with his team currently trailing rivals Atletico by two points with two games remaining
    KA-BAK TO SQUARE ONE
EXCLUSIVE – Liverpool will say farewell to Turkish centre-back Ozan Kabak at the end of this season — and put their rivals on alert.
Kabak, 21, helped out the Reds by signing on loan in the winter window and went straight into Jurgen Klopp’s side as they coped with a defensive crisis.
But now the decision has been taken to scrap a full-time deal that would have meant paying £18million to his German side Schalke.
Boss Klopp believes Kabak would not be in the first-team picture at Anfield next term.
And the cash-conscious club are not prepared to splash out that kind of money for the defender to sit on their bench.
It is a massive blow for Kabak, whose parent club dropped out of the Bundesliga while he was away.
Ozan Kabak is set to head back to Schalke in the summer
    GOOD MORNING FOOTBALL FANS
Manchester City have been told they can have Lionel Messi if they pay him £500,000-a-week AFTER TAX.
The superstar’s contract with Barcelona runs out at the end of the season and his father Jorge has started the process of deciding where his future lies.
SunSport understands the 33-year-old is open to the idea of a 12-month contract, with an option for a further year, if a club will stump up £25million-a-year.
That would make him the best-paid player in Premier League history and the lack of a transfer fee plus the enormous commercial cut gained by signing Messi could make financial sense.
Meanwhile, Edinson Cavani will hit a six-figure jackpot if he is a chart-topper in his second season at Old Trafford.
And finally, Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers shared his thoughts after leading the Foxes to their first ever FA Cup trophy. He told the BBC: “It’s an amazing feeling.
“I wasn’t aware before I came to Leicester that they hadn’t won the FA Cup. So to be able to give that to these supporters, plus Top [Srivaddhanaprabha] and his family, makes this a special day.
“It’s a real collective effort at Leicester, from the board, players, staff and supporters. It’s an amazing day for the city.
“Youri’s [Tielemans] goal was like an old-school FA Cup winning goal, but also Kasper’s [Schmeichel] saves. I thought we were the better team overall. We were super-aggressive and always a threat with the ball.
“Chelsea are an amazing team but I though we deserved to win. It’s the FA Cup, and as a British coach, it means so much. I’m so proud, but more happy for everyone else. A monumental performance and what a day for everyone involved with Leicester.”

    ALL BARC, NO BITE
Man City’s hopes of signing Lionel Messi have been rekindled by his new contract offer at Barcelona, SunSport can reveal.
Messi, who turns 34 next month, has accepted his salary with Barca will be reduced but wants better terms than the two thirds reduction proposed by the Catalans.
Only Man City and PSG have the post-pandemic clout to match Messi’s terms and staying at Barcelona still appears the most likely option.
However new club president Joan Laporta is desperate to sign Erling Haaland and could even be willing to dispense with the Messi to push the deal through.

    DOR OPEN
Manchester United are reportedly in ‘pole position’ for signing Jadon Sancho.
Sport1 claim the winger is keen on making a switch to Old Trafford as United ‘will remain’ the club of his choice.
The report adds that talks between the Red Devils and the Borussia Dortmund star’s agent are ‘already underway.’

    DOUBLE TROUBLE
Granit Xhaka and Bernd Leno are among a string of Arsenal players set to leave this summer, reports say.
Xhaka has been a vital part of manager Mikel Arteta’s reign, playing as a central partner for Thomas Partey and also as a makeshift left-back.
And keeper Leno has been the Gunners No1 since his arrival from Bayer Leverkusen in 2018.
But according to The Athletic, Arsenal staff are growing concerned the experienced pair will push for a transfer in the summer.
And it gets worse, with defender David Luiz, 34, and striker Alexandre Lacazette, 29, also facing uncertain futures.
    LOST THE WILL
WILLIAN is expected to leave Arsenal this summer with Inter Miami among those in the transfer race, reports say.
The Brazilian arrived from Chelsea on a free transfer last summer but has failed to hit the same heights he once achieved in the Blue side of London.
With only one goal all season, Willian has largely been overlooked in Arsenal’s frontline, leaving his future in doubt.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the winger, along with countrymen David Luiz, is looking to leave the club.
Inter Miami were interested in taking him to MLS last year before he opted to remain in England with Arsenal.
And they are joined by other European sides lodging interest in the 32-year-old.

    CASH GUZZLERS
Arsenal made a profit on just EIGHT of the players who joined the club in the last ten years.
Since 2010, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been the biggest money spinner while Mesut Ozil represented the largest loss.

    WRIGHT JEALOUS OF LEICESTER
Arsenal legend Ian Wright admitted that he was jealous of Leicester after their FA Cup triumph against Chelsea yesterday.
Wright was jealous of the relationship between the team and the ownership, and rightly so, it’s a well managed football club.
“I tell you what, look at him with the players, with the manager,” Wright reacted on BBC.
“The jealousy I feel, knowing an owner can be like that… honestly, it breaks my heart.
“I’m absolutely delighted for Leicester and him. Magnificent, magnificent. Brilliant.”

According to the report, Man City are also interested in Bertrand.
    STAT ATTACK
Lacazette has stepped up and scored 13 Premier League goals so far this season.
And there’s still two massive games to play!

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side are in 12th spot with 26 per cent of their supporters sporting a bald look.

    MONEY SAVER
Arsenal defender Dinos Mavropanos could extend his stay at Stuttgart beyond the summer IF he is not in boss Mikel Arteta’s plans going forward.
The 23-year-old has impressed whilst on loan in Germany, and could prove a money saver if Arteta was to keep him and use him.
Stuttgart manager Pellegrino Matarazzo loves him, and said: “He’s our gladiator!
“He’s a monster in terms of physique. And when he makes a mistake, he hums around some Greek swear words. I like that. He’s just a tough dog.”
The praise of Mavropanos didn’t just come from manager Matarazzo.
Sporting director Sven Mislintat weighed in saying: “He (Mavropanos) says very clearly – if he doesn’t play a role in Arsenal’s planning, he wants to stay with us.”
    WRIGH OH WHY
Arsenal legend Ian Wright revealed his dismay at the stark contrast between his old club and Leicester’s heartwarming FA Cup glory.
The Foxes lifted the trophy for the first time on Saturday with a 1-0 win over Chelsea in front of 21,000 fans at Wembley.
And Wright told BBC Sport that the moment was ‘magnificent’ – but left him with a touch of ‘jealousy’ as a Gooner.
The ex-striker, 57, said: “I tell you what, look at him with the players, with the manager.
“The jealousy I feel, knowing an owner can be like that… Honestly, it breaks my heart.
“I’m absolutely delighted for Leicester and him. Magnificent, magnificent. Brilliant.”
    GOOD MORNING ARSENAL FANS
Spotify owner Daniel Ek has confirmed that he made a failed attempt to buy Arsenal.
He said in a statement: “Inaccurate reports emerged today saying I have not made a bid for Arsenal Football Club.
“I think it’s important to correct the record – this week an offer was made to both Josh Kroenke and their bankers that included fan ownership, representation at board and a golden share for the supporters.
“They replied that they don’t need the money. I respect their decision but remain interested and available should that situation ever change.”
Meanwhile, Arsenal have spoken to Mohamed Elneny about his pro-Palestinian social media post.
“As with any employees of Arsenal, our players are entitled to express their views on their own platforms,” the club told Sky Sports News.
“That said we have spoken to Mo about this so he understands the wider implications of his post.
“As a club we are committed to confronting and eliminating all forms of discrimination and continue to champion the need for equality and diversity across all areas of life.”
And finally, Dinos Mavropanos could extend his stay at Stuttgart beyond the summer IF he is not in boss Mikel Arteta’s plans going forward.
The 23-year-old has impressed whilst on loan in Germany, and could prove a money saver if Arteta was to keep him and use him.Stuttgart manager Pellegrino Matarazzo loves him, and said: “He’s our gladiator!
    FIN LINE
Real Betis favourite Finidi George has told Nabil Fekir to keep working hard if he wants to earn a move to Arsenal.
He told Tribal Football: “Nabil is young and he is a good player.
“If he keeps working hard, keeps his cool and is disciplined, I think he might play for top clubs in Europe.
“Going to Arsenal or Real Madrid depends on him. I think he has the quality. If he has the mindset, I think he can make it.
“He has to continue to do his best for his club and hopefully the bigger clubs will come one day knocking at the door.”
    WILL I NEVER
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has claimed Arsenal will demand around £30m before they even consider selling Joe Willock this summer.
Speaking on the Arsenal Lounge, he said: “Arsenal are not going to accept €15 million or €12 million or €20 million.
“They want around €30 million, €35 million to start negotiations. Let’s see if they can find an agreement.”
    WHAT THE EK
Spotify owner Daniel Ek has confirmed that he made a failed attempt to buy Arsenal.

    PEPE TALK
Nicolas Pepe could reportedly depart Arsenal in the summer should they receive a suitable offer.
Commenting on his future, Fabrizio Romano told the Arsenal Lounge: “The feeling around the player is that Arsenal will try again with him, will try with Arteta also to build this consideration in Europe and let’s see what happens next season.
“But if an important bid will arrive Arsenal are open to consider, but at the moment it’s really difficult to have this money for this player.”
    ‘WIDER IMPLICATIONS’
Arsenal have spoken to Mohamed Elneny about his pro-Palestinian social media post.
    OUT OF TUNE
Ian Wright threatened to walk off from BBC’s FA Cup final coverage after Gary Lineker aired his 1993 music video.
Wright joked about leaving after his timeless attempt at pop stardom was shown on TV.
Wright joked: “No! Why are you showing this? I’m going, I’m not staying, get it off!”
Lineker returned the favour on Wright after footage of the BBC presenter’s awkward dancing and miming along in an England Euro 88 song.

    NO SALE
Arsenal have denied receiving a takeover approach from the club legend consortium led by Spotify founder Daniel Ek.
The Swedish billionaire, 38, has claimed to be formulating a £1.8million bid to buy the Premier League side from unpopular owner Stan Kroenke.
Fan protests against the American have escalated since the Gunners’ attempt to join the doomed European Super League.
Arsenal supporter Ek promptly announced his intention to buy the club with the help of Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira.
But a spokesperson for the North London outfit has denied receiving any official approach.
Kroenke Sports Entertainment insist they have no intention of letting the club go despite the fan fury.
    ICYMI
Sol Campbell met with England officials on Thursday for discussions over the vacant Under-21s job.
SunSport exclusively revealed earlier this month that the ex-Arsenal defender, 46, had thrown his hat in the ring to succeed Aidy Boothroyd.
It remains to be seen whether he will get the nod over the likes of current Under-17s chief Justin Cochrane and Liam Rosenior, who are also in the frame.
Campbell, who won 73 caps for the Three Lions, previously bossed Macclesfield and Southend.
Boothroyd is leaving this summer when his contract expires after presiding over a second successive group-stage exit from the Euros.
Prospective candidates have been encouraged to apply as the FA conducts a ‘formal open process’ to appoint the new boss.

Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua LIVE updates: Fight date and ring walk time CONFIRMED, Saudi Arabia to host – latest

ANTHONY JOSHUA and Tyson Fury are training for their HUGE heavyweight world title fight.Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn says the fight will be taking place on August 14 in Saudi Arabia and the fight will take place at 9pm for British fans to watch.
Joshua’s WBA, IBF and WBO titles are on the line with Fury’s WBC championship in a massive unification showdown.
We’ll be bringing you ALL of the latest developments on the bout plus all of the news from the world of boxing right here…
    LAST TEN
Take a look at Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder’s last ten opponents!

    ‘HIS FISTS FEEL LIKE ROCKS’
Young boxer Aleksandar Mraovic has been sparring with Tyson Fury ahead of the Gypsy King’s potential mega-fight against Anthony Joshua.
And Mraovic believes Joshua “can’t win”.
Speaking to  MyBettingSites, he said: “This man is not of this world, he’s a different animal. He’s punching like a machine, I’ve never felt punches like that before from anybody.  He even showed me a little bit how he got the power and how he works on it.
“His fists feel like rocks, they feel like rocks on you, it’s incredible. The power comes from how he punches and how he uses his weight.
“He’s in great condition, he never had a bodybuilder’s body but he moves like a real athlete.
“He did twenty rounds, no problem. We were all done after 12 rounds, we did a lot of body sparring, we were all dead. And he kept doing the heavy bag and pad work, he’s crazy. He does not know when to stop.
“His movement is amazing and he wasn’t even fully fit. He doesn’t give up, that’s how we all know him. He doesn’t give up; neither in life, neither in the ring, neither in the training. He never gives up. That was his first sparring after the Deontay Wilder fight. He is sick, he is crazy good.
“He played with me but it wasn’t a serious spar, nothing serious. Right now I would have no success against him, he’s too experienced.
“I think Joshua can’t win. I don’t think Joshua can survive 12 rounds because in this era Tyson is the king, no one can beat him.”
    TALE OF THE TAPE
Tyson Fury is yet to be beaten in his professional career spanning 31 fights!

    DAN THE MAN
A potential future opponent for either Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua.
Daniel Dubois has split with trainer Mark Tibbs before their first fight together as he links up instead with Shane McGuigan.
The 23-year-old decided to leave Martin Bowers and partner up with Tibbs after his defeat to Joe Joyce in November.
But six months later – and with his comeback clash against Bogdan Dinu just three weeks away – The Mail have now reported that he has changed trainer once more.
It is thought that the split between Tibbs and Dubois occurred after the trainer informed the fighter he had other commitments.
Tibbs – who also coaches fellow heavyweight Dillian Whyte – was in the corner for Billy Joe Saunders’ defeat to Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez last weekend.
    GOOD MORNING BOXING FANS
Anthony Joshua is champing at the bit to face Tyson Fury, who he plans to ‘absolutely demolish’ in their undisputed heavyweight title fight.
Eddie Hearn told Sky Sports: “You will get a different AJ in this build-up.
“He’s excited because he’s never really, apart from the Dillian Whyte fight, been in a trash talk environment. He will enjoy it.“AJ has got the bit between his teeth, goading him a bit.
“I’m sure these two DM each other, goading each other. I get DMs from Fury – sometimes pleasant, sometimes unpleasant!
“When the announcement comes and the press conferences start, the pleasantries will go away and it will become personal.
“It doesn’t matter who respects who. Both sides are desperate to win because this is everything.
“There are no fun and games. It’s ‘them and us’.
“AJ will go to war with Fury. He has plans to absolutely demolish him. That’s what I believe he will do.
“In the meantime we will go through the build-up, which will be a lot of fun, before the biggest event of 2021.”
Elsewhere, Fury has gone teetotal as he bids to keep his mental health demons at bay.
The boxing champ, 32 — who confessed to drinking 12 pints a day — has vowed to family and friends he will stay off booze.
“Gypsy King” Fury has spoken openly about his drink, drugs, and mental health issues in the past.
He was spotted this week with his boxer half-brother Tommy, 22, relaxing by a pool in Miami — with Fury sipping from a bottle of alcohol-free lager.
A source said: “Tyson has kicked the booze on the head for good.
“It is not because of the boxing, because he can always get in shape for fights and obviously doesn’t drink during training camps.
“Tyson is doing this for himself and his family — especially his wife Paris.
“And he reckons it is the best way to be a great dad and stay in shape physically and mentally.”

    TALE OF THE TAPE
Here’s a reminder of how the two British icons match-up…

    DON’T ASK
It may not be the huge super fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua but Ben Askren’s money-fight with Jake Paul has continued to make headlines.
Funky surrounded himself with the ‘wrong people’ ahead of his ill-fated clash with the YouTuber, according to UFC lightweight Tony Ferguson.
In an interview with The Schmo, he said of his meeting with Funky: “I’m gonna be real, it was cool.
“I told him he’s coachable and that he’s gonna have a good shot but he’s going to have to hit the bag.
“Boxing is no joke, man. You can go out there and learn the sport, but it’s an Olympic sport. People forget that.
“MMA is so young it hasn’t made it to that spot yet. When I started surrounding myself around boxers, that’s what you get. You get into that mentality. That structured mentality.
“Ben, he went over there and I could kinda see that he was [working] really hard and he was doing his thing.
“But he was surrounding himself with the wrong people and the vibe about too much of the hype.”
    JOSH BOSH
Anthony Joshua is champing at the bit to face Tyson Fury, who he plans to ‘absolutely demolish’ in their undisputed heavyweight title fight.
He told Sky Sports: “You will get a different AJ in this build-up.

“In the meantime we will go through the build-up, which will be a lot of fun, before the biggest event of 2021.”
    MAL IT OVER
Deontay Wilder uploaded footage working on defensive drills with his ‘new trainer’ Malik Scott – the man he knocked out in 2014.
The American is on the comeback trail having started training again following his defeat to Tyson Fury in February 2020.
He has recently posted clips working on the pads with Scott, 40, who was formerly his sparring partner.
But it appears as part of Wilder’s revamp in his camp, the ex-heavyweight contender is now his trainer.
Wilder, 35, posted on Instagram: “An Amazingly Peaceful Session…W/ my brotha and new trainer @malikkingscott.”
In the clip, the Bronze Bomber can be seen practising defences, slipping and rolling, as well as body shots, elements he previously neglected.

    JUST JOSHING
Eddie Hearn revealed he has been on the receiving end of some ‘unpleasant’ messages from Tyson Fury.
Hearn has worked tirelessly to deliver the undisputed title decider between AJ and Fury, which is now set for August 14 in Saudi Arabia.
He told Sky Sports: “You will get a different AJ in this build-up. He’s excited because he’s never really, apart from the Dillian Whyte fight, been in a trash-talk environment.
“He will enjoy it. AJ has got the bit between his teeth, goading him a bit.

“It doesn’t matter who respects who. Both sides are desperate to win because this is everything. There are no fun and games. It’s ‘them and us’.”
    PRIME TIME
Tyson Fury’s undisputed heavyweight title fight with Anthony Joshua will likely be held at 9pm UK time.
The eagerly-anticipated Battle of Britain – which has been years in the making – is set to take place in Saudi Arabia on August 14.
Given the magnitude of the fight, there were fears the contest would be aired at a time catered for the North American market.
But according to Bad Left Hook, Joshua vs Fury will get underway between 11pm and midnight Saudi time – meaning the fight will start between 9pm and 10pm in the UK.
The news will be music to the ears of British boxing fans, who have had to endure the pain of the pair’s first meeting not taking place on these shores.
    FURIOUS PREPARATIONS
What preparations could we see from Tyson Fury in the build-up to his bout against Anthony Joshua?

    McINTYRE VS FURY
Tyson Fury has already had a brief spell in the WWE, enjoying a feud with the Colossal Braun Strowman.
But the Gypsy King has also been exchanging words with top dog Drew McIntyre!
In an interview with Steven Muehlhausen of DAZN, the former WWE champion touched on the pair’s exchange on Twitter.
“He’s [Fury] cutting promos on me the other day from Vegas,” McIntyre said. It’s pretty surreal to me. When I turn on my Twitter, and he does respond.
“It’s been over a year now that we’ve been going back and forth with each other.
“It gets people talking. I know there’s going to be a day where we finally make something happen. It’s going to be big, and ideally, I think it’s going to be in the UK.”
    NEW PLAN FOR DAN
Daniel Dubois has made the bold decision to change trainers twice in a matter of months

    NICK OF TIME
Tyson Fury trained with Nick Diaz and called for Dana White to ‘make the fight’ ahead of the UFC legend’s comeback.
Diaz has not fought since 2013, in a loss-turned no-contest against Anderson Silva, but the American veteran is preparing for a sensational return.
And in Miami he bumped into unbeaten WBC heavyweight champion Fury, 32, in camp himself to face Anthony Joshua, 31, on August 14.
UFC president White held a meeting with Diaz, 37, to discuss a comeback fight, and the Gypsy King warned the Stockton icon is in ‘tremendous shape’.
Fury said: “I’m here with my boy Nick, the bad man Diaz. What you saying Nick?
“We’re working hard, we’re coming for all you motherf***ers out there. You’re getting smashed to f***. You better believe it.
“Absolutely smashing it, he’s in tremendous shape, he’s ready. Make the fight Dana, make the fight.”

    GOOD MORNING BOXING FANS
Promoter Eddie Hearn believes Anthony Joshua will demolish Tyson Fury in their heavyweight showdown.
Tony Bellew has warned the Gypsy King his summer opponent Joshua is ‘training like an animal’.
Joshua is set to face Fury in a huge world heavyweight title unification in Saudi Arabia on August 14.
The date has been agreed but the contract signing still needs to be finalised over the next week.
Top Rank promoter Bob Arum is increasingly optimistic the fight will take place in August.
    MONEY MAYWEATHER
It may not be the huge super fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua but the hype is not slowing down ahead of Floyd Mayweather’s clash with YouTuber Logan Paul.
Sky Sports Box Office will be showing the fight on June 6 in Miami.
But no fixed UK price has yet been announced by Sky Sports.
The usual PPV price for Sky Sports boxing events is £19.99, although the last two Anthony Joshua fights have both been £24.99.
The likes of Badou Jack, Jean Jean Pascal and Jarrett Hurd will all feature on the undercard of the event.

    BULKING UP
One man with an eye on Anthony Joshua’s fight with Tyson Fury is Oleksandr Usyk.
And the undisputed cruiserweight king is bulking up in the gym in a bid to become the dominant force in the heavyweight division.

Usyk posed for a video of himself topless in the gym on social media before climbing on to the scales to reveal his weight as 105kg.
He then produced a bicep pose as a big grin appeared across his face before he sent out a menacing message to his new big boy rivals.
The 34-year-old said: “What’s up heavyweight? I’m here.”
    FIGHTING TALK
Top Rank promoter Bob Arum has offered an optimistic view ahead of the world heavyweight fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.
Arum recently raised doubts over the prospect of the British superstars colliding this summer.
But Arum is now positive the super fight will take place in August.
Arum told Bad Left Hook: “We sent (deal principals in Saudi Arabia) a memo, on behalf of the promotion, and they said it’s the holiday, the end of Ramadan, and nobody is in the office.
    Credit: https://www.instagram.com/anthonyjoshua/
“They need the minister of sports’ approval, and they told us we should expect an answer Saturday or Sunday.
“Friday is a holiday. So hopefully they accede to what we’ve asked for, and I’m optimistic they will.
“Then, we can do a proper announcement of the deal, not Frank (Warren, Fury’s other co-promoter) and Eddie (Hearn, promoter for Joshua) spouting off. I’m very optimistic.”
    TOP THREE
Here’s a list of Joshua, Fury and Wilder’s last ten opponents!

    NEVER GIVE UP
Tyson Fury’s recovery and road back to the top of heavyweight boxing was incredible.

    UNIFICATION TALKS
Talks between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury over their unification title fight are expected to enter crucial stages early next week.
Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed that both parties had agreed that the fight would take place in Saudi Arabia on August 14.
But there’s still things to sort out before contracts can be signed.
Hearn said: “Team Fury need to be comfortable.
“The word and feeling out of both camps should give you the security that this fight is happening and August 14 is the date.”

LIONEL MESSI is willing to join Man City if they pay him £500,000-a-week after tax, SunSport can reveal.Meanwhile Cristiano Ronaldo’s future is equally up in the air with the Portuguese ace reportedly looking at a Juventus exit.
And Zinedine Zidane has reportedly told his players he will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season.

    ED START
Exclusive by Phil Thomas: Edinson Cavani will hit a six-figure jackpot if he is a chart-topper in his second season at Old Trafford.
    GETTING MESSI
Exclusive by Duncan Wright: Manchester City have been told they can have Lionel Messi if they pay him £500,000-a-week AFTER TAX.

    REAL PROBLEM
Zinedine Zidane is set to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season.

    VARDY PARTY
A fan-favourite Inbetweeners reference from the man who played in every round of the FA Cup.

    FOX STEP
Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers shared his thoughts after leading the Foxes to their first ever FA Cup trophy.
Rodgers told the BBC: “It’s an amazing feeling.
    WHAT THE EK
Spotify owner Daniel Ek has confirmed that he made a failed attempt to buy Arsenal.

    ‘WIDER IMPLICATIONS’
Arsenal have spoken to Mohamed Elneny about his pro-Palestinian social media post.

    ZIZOU OFF?
Zinedine Zidane has hinted he could leave Real Madrid at the end of this season.
He said: “It’s not, the only thing about me is that what I do, I do to the end, and then there comes a time when it’s the moment to change.
“For everyone, not just for me. For the club, for the good of the club, for the people.
“I don’t leave because it’s easy. It’s not like I turn away and don’t look back. No, there are moments when you have to be there and there are moments when that’s it, it’s finished, it’s time to change. But for the good of everyone, not just for me.”

    MOUR SAINTS
Jose Mourinho wants to take Newcastle winger Allan Saint-Maximin to Italy as part of his Roma revolution, according to reports.
The former Chelsea, Man Utd and Tottenham boss will take over the sleeping Serie A giants in the summer.
It is understood Mourinho, 58, will be given a healthy transfer budget to get the Giallorossi into the Champions League.
And, according to Corriere della Sera, the Portuguese boss has identified the tricky Toon winger as a top target.

    SERGI-GO
Paris Saint-Germain have joined the race to sign Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos, according to reports.
The Spaniard is out of contract at the end of the season, sparking interest in his signature.
Several clubs are said to be tracking Ramos, but PSG are most interested in the Los Blancos captain, report AS.

    SAINTS ROW

    TO BE FRANK
Frank Lampard’s “fingerprints” are all over Chelsea’s transformation despite Thomas Tuchel succeeding him in January, claims Joe Cole.
Lamps’ ex-England team-mate told the Mail: “Tuchel has come in and done an unbelievable job.
“But you can’t disregard what Frank did – holding the fort during a difficult time, getting the club to a cup final last year, getting Champions League when they had lost their best player (Eden Hazard).
“He brought in many of these young players in and put £200million of talent on the bottom line.
“They were going through a bad spell earlier in the season and that’s Chelsea – you know if you go through a bad spell you could get the sack.
“Frank’s fingerprints will be on this team but you have to credit Tuchel – to come in and have the impact he’s had is extraordinary.
“Chelsea is in a really healthy place at the moment so I am very happy, very confident.”

The latter hook knocks Dos Santos off balance and sends the Frenchman stumbling across the ring.

Dos Santos partially lands that hook, although Buatsi’s glove takes most of the sting out of the shot.
