    BOURNE AGAIN
BOURNEMOUTH are 90 minutes from Wembley after a dominant display over Brentford in their play-off semi-final first leg.
Arnaut Danjuma grabbed the winner in the 55th minute but the Cherries wasted several chances to kill off the Bees in front of 2,000 fans on the South Coast.
Instead, they still have a job to do in West London at the weekend to move one step closer to an instant Premier League return.
Brentford know all about coming from behind in play-off semis after doing so last year against Swansea before eventually losing in the final to Fulham.

    THE TEAMSHEETS ARE IN!
    TENTH ATTEMPT
Brentford are featuring in their 10th attempt at the Football League play-offs, and second in as many seasons in the Championship, with only Preston featuring in as many campaigns (also 10).
However, the Bees have never been promoted via the play-offs, with their previous nine attempts the most without winning promotion in the history of the Football League play-offs.
    FANS ARE BACK
2,300 fans will be allowed inside the Vitality Stadium tonight!
    BACK-TO-BACK
Brentford made it to the Championship play-off final last season, but lost to Fulham.
Frank’s teams’ failure to get promoted saw standout players Said Benrahma move to West Ham and Ollie Watkins to Aston Villa.
But this time, he’ll be hoping his team can go all the way and finally find themselves in the top flight.
And with record breaker Ivan Toney at his disposal, anything is possible!

    DANJUMA SPEAKS
Bournemouth ace Arnaut Danjuma dissected the season ahead of tonight’s play-off semi-final in an interview with afcb.co.uk.
The 24-year-old played a massive role in Bournemouth’s success, scoring 15 goals and providing seven assists earning himself a place in the Championship’s team of the season.
He said: “Looking back, I think we have been through a lot of highs and lows.
“I was a little disappointed we dropped back to finish sixth after we had already secured a play-off place and Brentford will be a tough team to beat.
“We have quality and determination and there is a lot of talent in the group. We’ve been performing well recently, although not so well in the past three games so there is still a bit to improve on.
“We were well below our standards in those three games but there were also a lot of games where we put in good performances, especially against the top six.
“We did the double over the champions Norwich and took four points off Watford and Swansea. We won 4-0 at Barnsley and Brentford were the only team in the top six to beat us twice.
“Over the course of the season, we performed well against most of the higher-placed teams and struggled against some of the teams in the lower half.
“Overall, I’m happy we’re in the play-offs. That was our goal once we knew we couldn’t win the title or finish second and our aim now is to win the play-offs and return to the Premier League.”
    FINAL FOUR
This will be Bournemouth’s third Football League play-off campaign, winning the fourth-tier play-off final in 2002-03 against Lincoln but going out in the semi-finals in the 2010-11 League One play-offs against Huddersfield Town on penalties after a 4-4 aggregate draw.

    HEAD-TO-HEAD
Bournemouth lost both of their Championship matches against Brentford this season, with the Bees one of only two teams to complete the league double over the Cherries in 2020-21, along with relegated Sheffield Wednesday.
In their 1-0 home defeat to Brentford in April, Bournemouth managed just four shots, their fewest in a home league game all season despite playing the last 40 minutes with an extra man after Bees’ Pontus Jansson was sent off.
    GOOD AFTERNOON
And welcome to the live blog for Bournemouth vs Brentford!
Bournemouth host Brentford at the Vitality Stadium in the first leg of their Championship play-off semi-final.
And Jonathan Woodgate’s side are looking to return to the Premier League on the first time of asking.
Brentford, on the other hand, are looking to get promoted to the top division for the first time, whilst righting the wrongs of last season’s play-off final upset at the hands of Fulham.
The home side, however, are coming into tonight’s game off the back of three successive defeats.
Whereas Brentford, are unbeaten in 12 Championship games.
In terms of team news, Junior Stanislas could be passed fit for tonight’s game.
Jack Wilshere could also come into the side, bolstering Woodgate’s midfield.
And for Brentford, boss Thomas Frank has several first-team players missing.
Henrik Dalsgaard, Rico Henry and midfielder Josh Dasilva will all miss out through injury.
And Frenchman Mbuemo could come back into the starting line-up, replacing Sergi Canos.
The teamsheets are due to be released in half an hour, so don’t go anywhere!

Jadon Sancho LATEST, Trippier interest stepped up, Pogba ‘could leave Man Utd for £55m’, Varane in United talks

MANCHESTER UNITED’S top transfer target Jadon Sancho is dreaming of a Premier League move, according to the German press.Elsewhere, United are reportedly willing to part company with star Paul Pogba if they receive a bid of around £55m.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to keep the Frenchman on board but his situation has become a concern with his contract set to expire in a year.
And the Red Devils have “stepped up” their interest in Atletico Madrid’s England full-back Kieran Trippier.
The 30-year-old is set to quit the La Liga challengers this summer
Get all the latest Man Utd news and transfer updates here…
    ON THIS DAY
Perhaps Phil Jones’ most infamous moment in a Manchester United shirt.
On this day in 2015 Jones made THAT headed tackle on Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud.
    How time flies.

    ‘I’VE BEEN BETTER’
Mason Greenwood believes he has been better this season despite not tallying as many goals
Greenwood told Sky Sports: “For most of last season I don’t think my link-up play was as good.
“But I was banging in the goals so people got it in their head that I was doing better last season than this. I don’t agree. I think I have been better this season.
“I have still got a few years to reach my full level of speed. I am still growing, still filling out. I am only 19.
“My hold-up play has improved. My all-round play, my defensive work. Just being a player, basically. That is coming through now.”
    INJURY UPDATE
Solskjaer told Manchester United Live:” We had a couple of days off after the Liverpool match and we’ve welcomed Dan James back and Anthony Martial back so that’s big, big plusses for us.
“We didn’t lose any against Liverpool so we’re fit. We’re only missing Harry [Maguire] and Phil [Jones].
“They [Daniel and Anthony] have done all their rehab programmes and ticked all the boxes so a couple of days of training before the game with the team, but they’re not ready to start a game yet. Let’s see.
“Hopefully, we can get both of them on the pitch and give them some minutes.”
    MISSING ROO
Throwback to this day in 2016 when Wayne Rooney scored his 100th Premier League goal at Old Trafford in a 3-1 romp of Bournemouth.

    ALL FOR JUAN
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has claimed that a decision has not been made over Juan Mata’s future yet.
He said: “I’ve kept the dialogue with Juan and we’re due to speak again very soon.
“Of course he’s not played as much as he would like and that’s a decision we will make with him.
“He’s in charge of his own future, he’s been such a good servant for the club. But it’s hard to leave good players and good people out of the team, and it’s about what does he want as his next step in his career.
“Is it to play his career out here or is it to go somewhere else? We haven’t made the final decision yet.”
    FAN THE FLAMES
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is excited to see fans back for the last two games of the season.

    RON OF THE GREATS
Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed he hopes to go down in footballing history as ‘one of the greats’ of the game.
Speaking at his unveiling as LiveScore’s Official Global Brand Ambassador, he said: “I hope that I will be remembered as one of the great players, someone that worked hard, that always did his best to help his team and will be part of the history of the game.”
Ronaldo was also asked which of the current crop of young stars he believes will become the best player in the world.
And he replied: “It is hard to choose just one player to say this one will be the best, but I think it is exciting to see this new generation of young players, like Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé, who are coming through.
“Some players can have one or two great seasons, the really great players are the ones that keep doing it season after season, and that is not so easy to do.
“It takes a lot of hard work, and a lot of commitment.”
    NOT GUNNAR HELP
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says his players have been suffering due to fans protests.
Thousands laid siege to Old Trafford and the team hotel forcing their game with Liverpool to be postponed.
There were more protests against the club’s owners the Glazers before the game against Leicester last week too.
And Solskjaer said: “I think the mood in any club and the relationship between the team and the fans is vital to what happens on the pitch.”
Solskjaer believes the protests and subsequent fixture pile up was the reason for them losing their last two games at home to Leicester and Liverpool.
He said: “I just didn’t want to use it as an excuse because we lost two games but surely it’s a reason behind the performances.”

    NOTHING RON
Cristiano Ronaldo was ‘happy to be subbed’ for the first time ever, according to Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo.
The Portuguese superstar was replaced by Alvaro Morata with 20 minutes left of Juve’s dramatic 3-2 win over Inter Milan on Saturday but apparently remained ‘happy and smiling’ in the dressing room.
Pirlo told Sky Italia: “I think it was the first time he was happy to be subbed off.
“We were one man down, and he’d have been chasing shadows. He was happy and smiling in the dressing room.”
    HANNIBAL LECTER
Neil Wood has expressed his sympathy for Hannibal Mejbri following his red card in Manchester United U23s 3-1 defeat to Derby County.
He told MUTV: “You’ve seen throughout the season, there’ve been enough videos out there of him being kicked numerous times in games and his frustration does take over and get the better of him.
“We’ve tried to educate him throughout the season, not rising to it — [telling him] ‘you’re gonna be a target’ and to take inspiration from the best players who just get up and intimidate with the football again, keep getting on the ball.
“I’ve just had a 25-minute chat with him. He needs to learn. This is something he’s going to have for most of his career, if he goes on to have a successful career he’s going to get targeted and face a lot of these tackles.”
    A-MAD FOR IT
Alternatively, Amad Diallo could be given another chance to impress following his exploits in the defeat at Leicester.
As a result, Mason Greenwood would be pushed up-top with Cavani rested.

    RED RESHUFFLE
Manchester United host Fulham at Old Trafford on Tuesday night and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is without four big names.
Harry Magure, Anthony Martial, Phil Jones and Dan James are all out with the Norwegian set to hand Axel Tuanzebe a start at centre-back.
The Cottagers are already relegated and with United focused on the Europa League final it is being billed as something of a dead rubber.
    Here’s how they could line-up…

    HEAT-ING UP
Former Aston Villa hitman Kevin Phillips has admitted that Tom Heaton will find it very hard to turn down Manchester United.
He told Football Insider: “I worked with Lee Grant at Derby when he got the chance to go to Man United as a player.
“I was a bit surprised because I thought he could go somewhere and play week in week out.
“When you get the chance to go to Man United and sit on their bench, or work in any capacity it’s very hard to turn down.
“Especially when you are coming to the end of your career. I’d be very surprised if he was to turn that offer down.”
    RETURN TRIP
Kieran Trippier is reportedly ready to quit Atletico Madrid and return to England.
SunSport understands there to be interest from Manchester United for the former Tottenham right-back.
They are desperate to bring in some competition for current first-choice Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
According to The Athletic, Tripper ‘is minded to return to England in the summer’.

    LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN
Gary Neville has joined the list of people calling for an independent regulator in football following the collapse of the European Super League.

    KAN’T HATE HIM
Paul Pogba says N’Golo Kante is the most lovable man in football but joked that he actually ‘cheats a lot’.
Manchester United star Pogba plays alongside Chelsea ace Kante for France and says it is impossible to hate the ‘cunning’ former Leicester man.
The 28-year-old told BeIN Sports: “He cheats a lot. A lot.
“At card games, board games. Honestly, I’m telling the truth. He cheats. He says he doesn’t cheat, but he does.
“He uses cunning. He’s a smart kid, N’Golo. But it’s okay. You have to love him.
“He’s the most beloved player in the history of football. You’ve got to love him, you cannot hate him, it is not possible. He is humble, kind, professional. He will never complain, he will work.
“He’s got everything. He’s good technically, with a good passing quality, and he’s everywhere on the pitch.
“I even say he appears out of the ground. You don’t see him, and – poof – he’s out. He gets the ball, he has the finish. He’s everywhere. To have a player like that by your side, what more can you ask for?”
    YOURI IN THE MONEY
Former Manchester United target Youri Tielemans is set for talks over a new Leicester contract which will make him one of the club’s highest earners, according to reports.
Belgian Tielemans blasted a rocket into the top corner at Wembley on Saturday as the Foxes lifted the FA Cup for the first time in history with a 1-0 win over Chelsea.
He still has two years left on his deal but the Midlands side are keen to agree fresh terms to secure his long term future, according to the Mail.
Jamie Vardy and Kasper Schmeichel are the club’s highest two earners on approximately £140-150k-per-week and Tielemans’ new deal would see him pocket around the same amount of cash.
And talks will also reportedly begin with fellow first-team star Harvy Barnes – another name linked with a switch to Old Trafford.

    WINGING IT
Manchester United are set to rival Arsenal in the race to land Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby this summer.
Caught Offside claim the 21-year-old’s performances in the Bundesliga, have attracted interest from the Premier League.
Diaby has notched an impressive return of 10 goals and 13 assists this season and both United and Arsenal are looking to strengthen out wide.
Yet the report adds that Leverkusen won’t let him go on the cheap, with a fee of at least £45million required to convince them to sell.
But that could still prove a cheaper alternative than any potential transfer for Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho.

    ‘FELT HELPLESS’
Fans never want to see their heroes vulnerable, frail, emotions revealed in the raw as life becomes a struggle.
So the film ‘Never Give In’ will tug at the heart strings of every Manchester United supporter, maybe every lover of football worldwide.
Never mind all the stuff about growing up in Govan, breaking the grip of the Old Firm, Mark Robins’ goal keeping him in a job at Old Trafford, and the Treble.
    We know all that.
What we did not know was the details of how a brain haemorrhage on May 5, 2018 floored Sir Alex Ferguson and left him with a 20 per cent chance of survival.
How at the age of 76 he came round from an operation and felt the fear and despair that life may be nearing its end.
“I wondered how many sunny days I would see again. I found that difficult,” he said.
How the upset at his condition as he lay in hospital and lost his voice overwhelmed him.
    “I was crying, felt helpless.
“I would have hated to lose my memory. I would have been a terrible burden on my family.”
    GOOD MORNING UTD FANS
Harry Maguire is positive that he will make the Europa League final.Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “When I spoke to him this morning he was positive.
“Naturally the day after he was injured everyone was very down.
“But we decided we had to focus and be positive and think he is going to make it.
“He is making progress but we have consciously made the decision not to test him out too early.
“Hopefully we will have good news but I will give it as long as possible because we know his importance.
“We have known that for a long time but maybe people appreciate it more when he is not playing.
“I became a very good player when I was injured because people realised what I could do as a sub and what I was as a player.”
Meanwhile on the transfer front, United have reportedly vowed not to be held to ransom over Paul Pogba’s future.
The Mirror claim that the Frenchman’s massive wage demands are proving a major stumbling block to him staying at Old Trafford.
The report adds Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola wants in excess of £400,000-a-week for the World Cup winner to sign a new deal.
United are said to be conflicted on what course to take with boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanting to keep Pogba at the club.
And finally, Sven Botman has admitted he would be “lying” if he claimed United’s interest doesn’t flatter him.
The Lille star told The Athletic: “It is a good compliment when you hear these clubs are interested.
“I’m lying if I say it’s not interesting me — it’s the first time such big clubs are linked to me — but it was early days because in January I was only at Lille for half a season.
“It was nice to hear but I was focusing on Lille and I’m still doing this. After the season I will enjoy a vacation and see what happens next.”
    PAUL OVER NOW
Manchester United have reportedly vowed not to be held to ransom over Paul Pogba’s future.
The Mirror claim that the Frenchman’s massive wage demands are proving a major stumbling block to him staying at Old Trafford.

    ED IN THE CLOUDS
Manchester United fans will hope this won’t be the last time Edinson Cavani scoops the club gong after he extended his stay at Old Trafford.

    GREEN WITH ENVY
United were reportedly unhappy at the way Mason Greenwood was treated earlier in the season.
The Mirror claim the Red Devils were displeased by the treatment the England starlet recieved following his Covid incident in Iceland.
The report adds that said whole incident left an ‘after-taste’, with some club officials at United angry at how the situation played out.

    RIO TRIPPS WALKER
RIO FERDINAND believes Gareth Southgate should pick Reece James and Trent Alexander-Arnold as England’s right-backs for this summer’s Euros.
Explaining his decision on BT Sport, Ferdinand said: “[Kyle] Walker I think would be the unlucky one in my squad – and he’d have really good grounds to ring me up and give me a piece of his mind.
“I like youth, I want to give youth a chance.
“I’m looking ahead as well, not just this tournament. This has been a bit of a weird lead-up – I’m looking at this as almost a free hit for someone like Gareth.
“You can introduce some young players, give them experience, really expose them to what a tournament is like.”

    RON HIS WAY OUT
BARCELONA are ’99 per cent’ sure they will sack manager Ronald Koeman at the end of the season.
RAC1 report that the only way he will remain at the Nou Camp is if they cannot find a suitable replacement.
Koeman’s reign at Barca has been a disappointing one since he arrived at the beginning of the 2020-21 season.
Along with their LaLiga troubles, they were also thumped 5-2 by Paris Saint-Germain across the two legs of their Champions League last 16 tie.

    OUT THE BLUE
CHELSEA are weighing up a move for non-league starlet Seb Drozd.
The Blues have been keeping close tabs on the 18-year-old, who is on the books of Isthmian League side Uxbridge, but is currently on trial with Brentford’s B team.
Drozd’s abilities were first spotted by the Blues when he featured in a showcase organised by the AG Football Academy.
The versatile left-footed teen can play as a full-back, wingback or in midfield.
And after shining in front of Chelsea’s scouts , Drozd also impressed in two games for QPR’s U18s last autumn.
A source close to Drozd said: “His style is perhaps a throwback and is similar to Damien Duff or Chris Waddle when in wide areas, but he has pace.”
    GERS IN TROUBLE
Rangers have condemned the fan violence that erupted after the team was crowned champions on Saturday
An official statement read: “We are grateful to Scottish Government officials, Glasgow City Council and Police Scotland for the constructive engagement in the lead up to the weekend’s game
“A small minority of people behaved inappropriately and in a manner not reflective of our support. Some of the scenes were unacceptable and have besmirched the good name of Rangers Football Club.
“These so-called ‘fans’ should reflect upon the values and ethos of our club, and consider the damage this does to the reputation of the club.
“We will continue to engage with authorities as required.”
    THE REAL DEAL
REAL MADRID are reportedly set to axe TEN players this summer in a huge transfer cull.
According to Spanish newspaper AS, top of the list is former Chelsea winger Eden Hazard.
Defender Raphael Varane, 28, could be following Hazard out the exit door.
Manchester United, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have all been linked with what would like be a £40m-plus transfer.
And the big names don’t end there. Gareth Bale, who also has another year left, will be flogged too.
    EXTRA SECURITY
Exclusive by Paul Jiggins: Tottenham are to beef up security at Wednesday’s home clash with Aston Villa amid fears of more fans protests against chairman Daniel Levy and his board.
Around 500 supporters demonstrated outside their stadium on Saturday.
Another smaller protest also took place before their 2-0 home win over Wolves on Sunday – when two protestors tried to get inside the ground.
Although both protests passed without major incident, Spurs fear the mood could turn ugly when fans return for their final home match of the season against Villa.
A limited crowd of 10,000 will be at the game – the first time supporters will be allowed inside the stadium this season.
Supporters, unhappy with the way Levy and his executive board are running the club following another trophyless season and their involvement in the European Super League scandal, are planning to vent their anger again.
So the club will draft in extra stewards in a bid to ensure any protests do not get out of hand inside the stadium.
    FAN THE FLAMES
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is excited to see fans back for the last two games of the season.
🗣️ “We hope it can be a positive day and move together”Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hoping the club can be united with fans set to return to Old Trafford for the match with Fulham. pic.twitter.com/yOHRgqYOve— Sky Sports News (@SkySportsNews) May 17, 2021

    HOME HORROR
Neymar’s mansion was broken into BEFORE the Paris Saint-Germain star played and scored in a 4-0 thrashing of Reims.
That victory meant the Ligue 1 title will be settled on the final game – but it wouldn’t be surprising for Neymar’s focus to be temporarily elsewhere.
According to French newspaper L’Equipe, a man managed to scale a perimeter wall and came ‘within metres’ of the front door.
There are various reports that he was ‘clutching bibles’ and ‘spreading the word of God’.
    AL OUT
Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to miss out on England’s Euro 2020 squad, it’s claimed.
The report comes despite his impressive performances during the season run-in.
And while Alexander-Arnold has made a strong case to be selected, The Athletic have reported that it remains ‘improbable’ he will land a place in the 26-man squad.
This is because Southgate is still unsure about his ability to balance his attacking qualities with the defensive solidity required.
The decision is not said to be a reflection of the Liverpool man’s talent or character, more a result of the way Southgate wants his England team to play.

    TUCH UP NEEDED
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel faces some huge selection decisions ahead of his side’s crunch Premier League clash with Leicester on Tuesday night.
Mateo Kovacic is continuing his return to fitness after 10 games out and will hope to be back for this one in place of Jorginho.
Here’s how the Blues could line up…

    CITY SLICKER
Riyad Mahrez has handed Manchester City a huge pre-Champions League final boost – by insisting he wants to see out his career at the Etihad.
The Algeria winger has won six trophies with Pep Guardiola’s side since arriving from Leicester in 2018.
And the former Foxes ace has no intention of moving on to pastures new, telling RMC: “I feel great at Manchester City, and I have no wish to look elsewhere.
“I don’t yet know what my situation will be, but I am happy at City – and they are the club where I want to be.
“People have spoken about me ending my career with Marseille, but that is not something I think about.
“I want to finish my career in England, with City. I don’t foresee myself at Marseille.”

    NOT GONNA KEP HIM
Chelsea outcast Kepa Arrizabalaga is attracting interest from Lazio ahead of a summer exit, according to reports.
The Spaniard has been demoted to No 2 behind Edouard Mendy at Stamford Bridge and the Serie A side are reportedly looking to pounce at the end of the season.
Pepe Reina, 38, is currently Lazio’s No 1 but they are said to be looking for a longer term solution.
The ex-Liverpool keeper is on loan from AC Milan and his deal expires at the end of the season.
Current No 2 Thomas Strakosha is not viewed as a viable permanent solution and Lazio are monitoring Kepa’s situation, according to Lazio News.

Youri Tielemans is set for talks over a new Leicester contract which will make him one of the club’s highest earners, according to reports.
    SSOUMA LOVING
Exclusive by Duncan Wright: Liverpool and Arsenal have been told it will need at least £40million if they want to sign Brighton star Yves Bissouma.
The midfielder has become one of the hottest properties in the Premier League after his displays this season and but the Seagulls are determined to get top money if they have to sell.
Liverpool have tracked the 24-year-old all season as they search for a replacement for Gini Wijnaldum who is expected to leave when his contract expires this summer.
Boss Jurgen Klopp is understood to have gone as far as checking out his personality and professionalism after being convinced by his on-field abilities to dictate games.
But Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is also desperate to capture the services of the Mali international as he looks to overhaul his squad at the Emirates.
The Gunners want to pair Bissouma with Thomas Partey to produce a midfield capable of competing against the best teams in the Premier League from next year.

    WINGING IT
Manchester United are set to rival Arsenal in the race to land Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby this summer.
    TOP CHECKOUT
Exclusive by Justin Allen: Freddie Woodman wants to hit the bullseye with Swansea and then finish the season on a double.
His first target is to help the Welsh club win promotion to the Premier League. Then the keeper faces his hardest challenge … to beat the kit-man at darts!
Yet he is currently trailing Magic Mike – kitman Michael Eames – 46-30 in the season-long contest.
He told SunSport: “Mike’s the main man of darts so we started playing every day and this season have kept a running total.
“But he’s good. The other day he got his ninth 180. I’ve only managed three.
“I’ve been getting tips from Chris Dobey, a big Newcastle fan, and he sent me his darts to try to help me get in front of Mike.
“Hopefully I’ll reel him in before the end of the play-offs.”

    GOOD MORNING FOOTBALL FANS
Jack Grealish has handed Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate a massive boost ahead of the Euros after being declared fit.
Southgate names his 26-man squad on Tuesday, May 25 and will be concerned over winger Grealish’s lack of match action following his recent shin injury.
He was sidelined for three months. but Aston Villa boss Dean Smith has told Southgate his star will be fit for this summer’s showpiece.
Smith said: “I don’t pick the England squad but he will be fit enough for the Euros.
“I’m hopeful that Jack will be able to start one of our remaining two games.
“He’s pushing hard, he’s had no reaction to the injury and he’s building up those minutes.”
Elsewhere, Alisson Becker dedicated his astonishing stoppage-time winner at West Brom to his late father – and said he hoped he was watching somewhere.
After incredibly nodding Liverpool one point off the top four from a 95th-minute corner, the Brazilian’s first thoughts in an emotional post-match interview were for tragic Jose Agostinho Becker.
Becker Senior drowned aged just 57 at a lake on the family ranch in Brazil three months ago.
Coronavirus travel restrictions stopped the Reds’ keeper from attending the funeral.
But Alisson is certain his dad is “celebrating’ after the 28-year-old became the first Liverpool keeper EVER to score a competitive goal as he sealed a 2-1 comeback triumph.
He told Sky Sports: “I’m too emotional this last month, for everything that has happened with me and my family.
“But football is my life. I played since I can remember with my father.
“I hope he was here to see it, I’m sure he is celebrating with God at his side.”
And finally, Former Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri could succeed Zinedine Zidane as Real Madrid manager if the Frenchman departs this summer.
Club legend Zidane’s future is uncertain after a disappointing campaign, with reports in Spain suggesting he had told his squad he will be leaving at the end of the season.
According to Sky Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, the ex-Juve boss has been in ‘direct contact’ with Real Madrid since March.
He is also said to be wanted by some Italian clubs, but Allegri is waiting on how things will pan out with Zidane and Madrid.

    PAUL OVER NOW
Manchester United have reportedly vowed not to be held to ransom over Paul Pogba’s future.
The Mirror claim that the Frenchman’s massive wage demands are proving a major stumbling block to him staying at Old Trafford.
The report adds Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola wants in excess of £400,000-a-week for the World Cup winner to sign a new deal.
United are said to be conflicted on what course to take with boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanting to keep Pogba at the club.
    SERIAL WINNERS
Man Utd have made good progression under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and they’ve got the chance to add another Europa League to the trophy cabinet before the end of the season!

    MAG-IC
Harry Maguire is positive that he will make the Europa League final.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “When I spoke to him this morning he was positive.

    MORE FROM BOTMAN
He told the Athletic: “It was nice to hear but I was focusing on Lille and I’m still doing this. After the season I will enjoy a vacation and see what happens next.
“If I’m honest, the Premier League is one of the leagues I dreamed about… but also Serie A, La Liga, the Bundesliga. The Premier League is something special. It’s the football I really like and that fits me.
“The style of play, the emotion; I really like to see the fans with such big emotions in the stands. It is a beautiful competition I really like to watch and did for pretty much all my life.
“I’m not the kind of guy who is already planning for the future. How it’s going with me now, I hope to someday make a good step to a top competition or a big club; that’s my goal.
“But I’m good at the moment with Lille. I’m really enjoying this year, I’m enjoying playing a lot. I learn a lot and I still have to improve a lot. I’m not complaining about my situation right now, I’m happy at the moment.
“For my ambitions, yes, of course I want to achieve as much as possible. I hope to make a big, beautiful step for me. We’ll have to see in the future if that is possible or not.”

    DEVIL MAY CARE
Sven Botman has admitted he would be “lying” if he claimed Manchester United’s interest doesn’t flatter him.
    PAUL TO PLAY FOR
Paul Pogba’s stunning strike against Fulham is among the leading contenders for Manchester United’s goal of the season.

    ARAM AND A LEG
Man Utd are interested in signing Getafe midfielder Mauro Arambarri, according to reports.
The Premier League giants are believed to have made contact with the 25-year-old’s representatives over a possible summer move.
According to AS, the Red Devils are one of many big European clubs monitoring the Uruguay international.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, however, are said to be the most keen on a move and have made contact with Arambarri’s people.
The report claims United see him as a player that can complement Bruno Fernandes’ abilities.
    FERGET IT
Bruno Fernandes has revealed he ‘regrets’ having not yet spoken to club legend Sir Alex Ferguson.
Speaking to the club website, Fernandes said: “That is one of my biggest regrets in the club until now.
“I met him already but never had the chance to speak with him like I would like to do.
”I think everyone who watched Manchester United in the past remembers Sir Alex. [That is true] for me, growing up and seeing the club, being a fan of the club and seeing the development of the team.
“I would like to have a conversation with him and understand, from his point of view, what he thinks about me and what I can improve or still improve in my game to be better.”

    EURO FEAR
Sports minister Nigel Huddleston admits the Indian Covid variant is a threat to getting fans back into stadiums.
He hailed the success of Saturday’s FA Cup Final which saw 21,000 spectators at Wembley as Leicester beat Chelsea 1-0.
Huddleston said: “This was the biggest sporting event – in fact, this is the biggest event – in the UK for 14 months.
“The biggest gathering of over 20,000 for 14 months and that’s quite a milestone really. The fact we’ve got to this point is quite remarkable.
“We couldn’t have done it had we not felt comfortable with the roadmap, had the vaccination programme not gone well and other test events had gone well.
“So that in itself must be seen as a success. But variants are called variants of concern for a reason – they are of concern.
“There’s no doubt we are worried about them but we always would be. We want to get as many fans as possible into stadiums again.
“I’m hoping we get there, I’m hoping we’ll get to capacity crowds soon but it depends entirely on the variants of concern but it’s a goal and has been all along.”

    BIG MONEY SIGNINGS
Lots and lots of money has been spent!

    SAN THE MAN
Liverpool are reconsidering a move for Borussia Dortmund and England forward Jadon Sancho, according to reports.
The 21-year-old has scored 16 goals and provided a further 18 assists in 36 games for the German side this season.
And his supreme form has caught the eye of Premier League sides Manchester United and Chelsea.
But after passing up any interest in him last season, Bild reporter Christian Faulkner has revealed that Liverpool are now back in the running for the talented youngster.
He said: “That is indeed, true, Liverpool are looking at Sancho again.
“He is on the list, especially because they don’t know what will happen with [Mohamed] Salah, who is always a bit on the move and thinking about a transfer.
“Chelsea are also very interested, as we have reported, and also Spain lures him again and again.
“If Salah were to be sold or he says he doesn’t want to be at the club any more then there would surely be movement on Sancho with Liverpool.”
Man Utd were heavily linked with Sancho throughout last summer as Dormund set an asking price of more than £100million.
But it is thought that the Bundesliga side could lower the price to as much as £50m this time around.

    WONDERKID
Mason Greenwood has had a fantastic second half to the 2020/21 season.
The 19-year-old has scored 12 goals and provided six assists across all competitions.

    MAGUIRE UPDATE
Harry Maguire is positive that he will make the Europa League final.
Maguire is on crutches and is wearing a protective boot after damaging ankle ligaments just over a week ago against Aston Villa.
It left manager Ole Solskjaer fearing the worst ahead of the final against Villarreal in Gdansk a week on Wednesday.
But the latest update has been more positive and Solskjaer says he will give his captain right up until the last minute to prove his fitness.
Solskjaer said: “When I spoke to him this morning he was positive.
United have conceded six goals in two games since Maguire’s injury losing both to Leicester and Liverpool.
    SERIAL WINNERS
Man Utd have made good progression under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and they’ve got the chance to add another Europa League to the trophy cabinet before the end of the season!

    MESSI TO MANCHESTER
Lionel Messi’s camp have ‘put feelers out’ to Man Utd and Chelsea over a potential transfer, according to the Daily Express.
Messi could leave Barcelona this summer with his contract running out at the end of June.
Pep Guardiola’s Man City remain keen on the global superstar, with Pep keen to reunite with one of the greatest of all time.
And today could be Messi’s last appearance at the Camp Nou as a Barcelona player against Celta Vigo.
    GOAL OF THE SEASON
Does Anthony Martial’s strike against Southampton win Goal of the Season, Man Utd fans?

    CUP UPSET
Rio Ferdinand revealed his regret at never winning the FA Cup and admitted: ‘It still grates’.
The Manchester United legend won six Premier League titles, two League Cups and one Champions League during his time at Old Trafford.
But he never once lifted the oldest prize in the book, losing in finals against Arsenal in 2005 and Chelsea in 2007.
In the latter loss Didier Drogba’s extra-time winner meant Ferdinand had to settle for a silver medal, and he still struggles with it.
He said on BT Sport during yesterday’s final: “It still grates, definitely. I’m sitting here looking at it (the trophy) and I want to launch it.
“They were bad moments. I was lucky enough to win quite a lot of stuff in my career.
“But I tell you, I probably spend more time even in retirement thinking about not getting my hands on that trophy.”
“Sitting here looking at the trophy, I want to launch it!””You just want the ground to swallow you up, it’s terrible.”@rioferdy5 never tasted glory in an #EmiratesFACup final…And it’s clear the feeling of getting so close still hurts. pic.twitter.com/yvtHLo8N2e— Football on BT Sport (@btsportfootball) May 15, 2021

    VA VA VOOM
Man Utd are holding talks with Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane, according to the Manchester Evening News.
But the Red Devils are joined in the pursuit for the World Cup winning defender by rivals Liverpool.
The report states that Man Utd will go ‘all out’ for a centre-back this summer, as they look to close the gap on champions-elect Man City.
And with a year left on his current deal, Real could struggle to command a high transfer fee.
The Frenchman could decide to see next season out and leave for free.
    ‘IT MIGHT NOT BE POSSIBLE’
Former Sunderland striker Kevin Phillips believes that West Ham may not be able to sign Jesse Lingard permanently this summer.
Phillips believes finances will get in the way of Lingard making the permanent move from Manchester to London.
Speaking to Football Insider, he said: “Financially, signing Lingard, it might not be possible.
“It might be hard to sign him even if they do make the Champions League, which isn’t great if you’re a supporter.
“It was another blow for them against Brighton which is a shame because what a story it would be if they got Champions League football.
“Either way, West Ham will look at signing him. Financially, if it’s not viable and it will break the bank, they won’t do it.
“Especially in today’s climate. Champions League does help so it will be interesting to see what happens there.”
    MAIN MAN BRUNO
Bruno Fernandes has the most goals and assists for Man Utd in the Premier League!
He has been phenomenal yet again this season.

    HAIRAWAY THE LADS!
Newcastle boast the highest number of bald fans in the Premier League — with many blaming the stress of supporting them.
A poll found 49 per cent of followers of the Toon Army have lost their locks — above the national average for men of 39 per cent.
And the average for Premier League fans is 30 per cent.
Researchers at BuzzBingo.com asked 2,000 male Premier League fans if they are bald or balding and asked which club they support.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Man Utd side are in 8th spot with 36 per cent of their supporters sporting a bald look.

And as Arambarri has a rumoured €25million release clause – around £21.5m – he would come relatively cheap in today’s market.
There are even rumours that Getafe would accept as little as £17m for the midfielder.
Mauro Arambarri, 25, is said to be a target for Manchester United

AARON RAMSEY is ‘dreaming’ of a return to Arsenal, according to reports. And Stan Kroenke is said to be keen to bring in a number of big names in an “exceptional” summer transfer window.
Spotify owner Daniel Ek confirmed he made a bid for the Gunners but says it was rejected by the Kroenke family.
Rennes wonderkid Eduardo Camavinga is another player Arsenal are said to be looking at this summer.

    GUNNER BE A BIG ONE
Arsenal owners are reportedly planning an exceptional transfer window this summer.
AFC Bell, who first broke the news of Thomas Partey to the Gunners, claim the Kroenke family are keen to mend fences between them and the fans.

    MOMENT OF GRATITUDE
Arsenal repaid their respects to the club’s women’s team’s manager Joe Montemurro following his last game in charge today.

    LOST WILL
WIllian is expected to leave Arsenal this summer with Inter Miami among those in the transfer race, reports say.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the winger, along with countrymen David Luiz, is looking to leave the club.
Inter Miami were interested in taking him to MLS last year before he opted to remain in England with Arsenal.
And they are joined by other European sides lodging interest in the 32-year-old.

    DAN IN THE DUMPS
Arsenal should not sign Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid on a permanent deal, according to club legend Ian Wright.
The Spanish midfielder is currently on loan until the end of the season.
Wright told Premier League Productions: “I don’t think we should be signing Ceballos, I just don’t think he’s what we need now.
“I think that we’ve got young players coming through who should get an opportunity in front of Ceballos.
“If he’s going to do anything to stay at Arsenal it would’ve been seen already by now.”
    ED IN THE CLOUDS
Any move for France starlet Eduardo Camavinga would surely see him join some of these Arsenal stars on this list…

    WHAT THE EK?
Arsenal have denied receiving a £2bn takeover approach from Spotify founder Daniel Ek’s consortium.
But the Swedish billionaire, 38, hit back and insisted he DID table a bid to buy the Premier League side from unpopular owner Stan Kroenke.
In a statement released on Saturday evening, he said: “This week an offer was made to both Josh Kroenke and their bankers that included ownership, representation at the board and a golden share for the supporters.
“They replied they don’t need the money. I respect their decision but remain interested and available should that situation ever change.”
    NOT FEELING BLUE
Former Arsenal target Jorginho has quashed any rumours regarding his Chelsea future by insisting he’s happy at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking to the PA news agency before the FA Cup final, the 29-year-old said: “It feels great after three years and I know everyone here appreciates what I try to do for the club and for the people.
“So it feels like home now in England. How could I want to leave the club?
“I’ve got two more years and like I said, I really feel at home here. So there’s no point actually even talking about it [the possibility of a transfer].
“And we have only just started under Thomas [Tuchel] – we’ve got a lot more to do here.”
    TIER JERKER
A lot of love from Arsenal fans for Kieran Tierney as he models next season’s away strip.

    MORE ON RAMSEY
These claims have been supported by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, who told The Arsenal Lounge podcast: “Aaron Ramsey would love to join Arsenal again.
“At Juventus he is struggling, he’s not playing [and has had] many injuries.
“He will be on the market 100 per cent, he will be available. If Arsenal want to go for Ramsey, they know they have a chance.
“But at the moment there’s nothing advanced or serious with Ramsey yet.”
    GUNNING FOR HOME
Aaron Ramsey would ‘love’ to return to Arsenal this summer, according to reports.
The Welsh midfielder has struggled for form and fitness since moving to Italy to join Juventus on a free transfer in 2019.
According to a report seen by The Mirror, the 30-year-old is keen on a return to the Emirates.

    CAMPBELL ‘WOULD LOVE’ GREALISH
Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell “would love” for Arsenal to sign Aston Villa’s main man Jack Grealish.
I would love Arsenal to make a move for Grealish but I don’t think the club could afford him at the moment,” Campbell told Football Insider.
“He has proved to be a world-class player this season. He is very consistent with his performances and he is only young.
“What a huge difference he has made to Aston Villa this year.
“I think any one of the big boys would look at him. I wouldn’t put it past Manchester City to sign him, even though they have a wealth of attacking talent. I could see him there.
“Listen, that would be making the strong stronger. It could be an embarrassment of riches.
“You have to keep strengthening. If you don’t, you are standing still and others will catch you.”

    DOUBLE TROUBLE
Granit Xhaka and Bernd Leno are among a string of Arsenal players set to leave this summer, reports say.
Xhaka has been a vital part of manager Mikel Arteta’s reign, playing as a central partner for Thomas Partey and also as a makeshift left-back.
And keeper Leno has been the Gunners No1 since his arrival from Bayer Leverkusen in 2018.
But according to The Athletic, Arsenal staff are growing concerned the experienced pair will push for a transfer in the summer.
And it gets worse, with defender David Luiz, 34, and striker Alexandre Lacazette, 29, also facing uncertain futures.
    LOST THE WILL
WILLIAN is expected to leave Arsenal this summer with Inter Miami among those in the transfer race, reports say.
The Brazilian arrived from Chelsea on a free transfer last summer but has failed to hit the same heights he once achieved in the Blue side of London.
With only one goal all season, Willian has largely been overlooked in Arsenal’s frontline, leaving his future in doubt.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the winger, along with countrymen David Luiz, is looking to leave the club.
Inter Miami were interested in taking him to MLS last year before he opted to remain in England with Arsenal.
And they are joined by other European sides lodging interest in the 32-year-old.
    DEBUT
Arsenal’s 2021/22 away kit is on display today as Arsenal’s women’s team take on Crystal Palace!

    GUNNING FOR GLORY
Arsenal failed to capitalise on last season’s FA Cup triumph.

    DEAL OR NO DEAL?
Arsenal have denied receiving a £2bn takeover approach from Spotify founder Daniel Ek’s consortium.
But the Swedish billionaire, 38, hit back and insisted he DID table a bid to buy the Premier League side from unpopular owner Stan Kroenke.
In a statement released on Saturday evening, he said: “This week an offer was made to both Josh Kroenke and their bankers that included ownership, representation at the board and a golden share for the supporters.
“They replied they don’t need the money. I respect their decision but remain interested and available should that situation ever change.”

    CAM AND GET ME
Arsenal have reportedly been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Eduardo Camavinga with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich looking to sign the Rennes ace.
The Ligue 1 side are poised to cash in on the French midfielder in the summer with the 18-year-old having just one year left on his contract.
It has been claimed that the France international is refusing to commit his future to Rennes, leading to a number of clubs to weigh up an offer.
Mikel Arteta is rumoured to have made Camavinga his No1 target with the Gunners doing ‘everything they can’ to nab him.
But according to Marca, they are in competition with Bundesliga champions Bayern and LaLiga giants Real.
    OUT THE DOOR
Willian could leave Arsenal this summer, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
According to Romano, a host of European clubs, and David Beckham’s Inter Miami wanted to sign the Brazilian last summer.
But Arsenal won the race for the former Chelsea player.
Willian scored his first goal for Arsenal in last Sunday’s 3-1 win against West Brom.
After David Luiz, also Willian is expected to leave Arsenal this summer. ⚪️🔴 #AFC There’s interest from European clubs and from MLS – Inter Miami wanted him last summer. Arsenal are waiting for official bids. 🇧🇷 #Willian #transfers— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) May 16, 2021

    CASH GUZZLERS
Arsenal made a profit on just EIGHT of the players who joined the club in the last ten years.
Since 2010, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been the biggest money spinner while Mesut Ozil represented the largest loss.

    WRIGHT JEALOUS OF LEICESTER
Arsenal legend Ian Wright admitted that he was jealous of Leicester after their FA Cup triumph against Chelsea yesterday.
Wright was jealous of the relationship between the team and the ownership, and rightly so, it’s a well managed football club.
“I tell you what, look at him with the players, with the manager,” Wright reacted on BBC.
“The jealousy I feel, knowing an owner can be like that… honestly, it breaks my heart.
“I’m absolutely delighted for Leicester and him. Magnificent, magnificent. Brilliant.”
    ARSENAL EYE BERTRAND
Arsenal are interested in signing Southampton left-back Ryan Bertrand this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
And the 31-year-old will be available for free, after announcing he will be leaving the Saints.
The Gunners are looking to strengthen the left side of defence, to provide cover for left-back Kieran Tierney.
According to the report, Man City are also interested in Bertrand.
    STAT ATTACK
Lacazette has stepped up and scored 13 Premier League goals so far this season.
And there’s still two massive games to play!

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side are in 12th spot with 26 per cent of their supporters sporting a bald look.

    MONEY SAVER
Arsenal defender Dinos Mavropanos could extend his stay at Stuttgart beyond the summer IF he is not in boss Mikel Arteta’s plans going forward.
The 23-year-old has impressed whilst on loan in Germany, and could prove a money saver if Arteta was to keep him and use him.
Stuttgart manager Pellegrino Matarazzo loves him, and said: “He’s our gladiator!
“He’s a monster in terms of physique. And when he makes a mistake, he hums around some Greek swear words. I like that. He’s just a tough dog.”
The praise of Mavropanos didn’t just come from manager Matarazzo.
Sporting director Sven Mislintat weighed in saying: “He (Mavropanos) says very clearly – if he doesn’t play a role in Arsenal’s planning, he wants to stay with us.”

Exclusive by Michael Hamilton: Tyson Fury has gone teetotal as he bids to keep his mental health demons at bay.
The boxing champ, 32 — who confessed to drinking 12 pints a day — has vowed to family and friends he will stay off booze.
“Gypsy King” Fury has spoken openly about his drink, drugs, and mental health issues in the past.
He was spotted this week with his boxer half-brother Tommy, 22, relaxing by a pool in Miami — with Fury sipping from a bottle of alcohol-free lager.
A source said: “Tyson has kicked the booze on the head for good.
“It is not because of the boxing, because he can always get in shape for fights and obviously doesn’t drink during training camps.
“Tyson is doing this for himself and his family — especially his wife Paris.
“And he reckons it is the best way to be a great dad and stay in shape physically and mentally.”
    BATTLE OF BRITAIN
Anthony Joshua is champing at the bit to face Tyson Fury, who he plans to ‘absolutely demolish’ in their undisputed heavyweight title fight.
Eddie Hearn told Sky Sports: “You will get a different AJ in this build-up.
“He’s excited because he’s never really, apart from the Dillian Whyte fight, been in a trash talk environment. He will enjoy it.
“AJ has got the bit between his teeth, goading him a bit.
“I’m sure these two DM each other, goading each other. I get DMs from Fury – sometimes pleasant, sometimes unpleasant!
“When the announcement comes and the press conferences start, the pleasantries will go away and it will become personal.
“It doesn’t matter who respects who. Both sides are desperate to win because this is everything.
“There are no fun and games. It’s ‘them and us’.
“AJ will go to war with Fury. He has plans to absolutely demolish him. That’s what I believe he will do.
“In the meantime we will go through the build-up, which will be a lot of fun, before the biggest event of 2021.”
    THE GYPSY KING
Take a closer look at the man attempting to create history this summer…

    BUILDING NEW GROUND
Saudi Arabia hosted 31-year-old Joshua’s title rematch victory over Andy Ruiz Jr in December 2019 amid criticism from human rights’ campaigners.
A temporary venue was constructed in Diriyah for the fight and Matchroom boss Hearn has promised a new stadium that will ‘shock the world’ for August’s unification event.
He told Sky Sports: “They want to build a new stadium.
“They have indoors options. In August at 11pm it will be about 23 degrees.
“They want to create something very, very special.
“Last time they built a stadium for the Andy Ruiz Jr fight in just seven weeks and it held 18,000. This will be a similar setup.
“They have the opportunity to hold it indoors but they want to create something that will shock the world. They want to build a stadium just for this fight.”
    NO JOSHING
Tyson Fury has now declared that his fight with Anthony Joshua is “100 per cent on”.
He said: “I’ve got some massive news for you all guys.
“I’ve just got off the phone from Prince Khalid of Saudi Arabia, he’s told me this fight’s 100 per cent on.
“August 14, 2021 – summertime. All eyes of the world will be on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
“I cannot wait, repeat, cannot wait to smash Anthony Joshua on the biggest stage of all times.
“This is gonna be the biggest sporting event ever to grace the planet Earth.
“Do not miss it, all eyes on us.”
    GET READY TO RUMBLE
Iconic ring announcer Michael Buffer is already sharing his excitement at the confirmation of Tyson Fury’s super-fight against Anthony Joshua.

    IT’S ON
Official announcement from Tyson Fury confirming the date and location for his super-fight with Anthony Joshua.

    JUST JOSHING
Eddie Hearn revealed he has been on the receiving end of some ‘unpleasant’ messages from Tyson Fury.
Hearn has worked tirelessly to deliver the undisputed title decider between AJ and Fury, which is now set for August 14 in Saudi Arabia.
He told Sky Sports: “You will get a different AJ in this build-up. He’s excited because he’s never really, apart from the Dillian Whyte fight, been in a trash-talk environment.
“He will enjoy it. AJ has got the bit between his teeth, goading him a bit.

    FIGHTING TALK
Anthony Joshua will go to war with Tyson Fury!

    FUN AND GAMES
Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has said that the trash-talk from Tyson Fury fuels his fighter Anthony Joshua.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Hearn said: “You will get a different AJ in this build-up.

    BATTLE OF THE BRITS
The heavyweight unification fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua might be heading for Saudi Arabia.
But one element is being arranged, and it’s the starting time of the fight – accommodating to British fans.
Speaking to BadLeftHook.com, Tyson Fury’s US promoter Bob Arum said: “The fight would play out between 11-midnight in Saudi, for the record,” which translates to 9-10pm for UK boxing fans.

    LAST TEN
Take a look at Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder’s last ten opponents!

    ‘HIS FISTS FEEL LIKE ROCKS’
Young boxer Aleksandar Mraovic has been sparring with Tyson Fury ahead of the Gypsy King’s potential mega-fight against Anthony Joshua.
And Mraovic believes Joshua “can’t win”.
Speaking to  MyBettingSites, he said: “This man is not of this world, he’s a different animal. He’s punching like a machine, I’ve never felt punches like that before from anybody.  He even showed me a little bit how he got the power and how he works on it.
“His fists feel like rocks, they feel like rocks on you, it’s incredible. The power comes from how he punches and how he uses his weight.
“He’s in great condition, he never had a bodybuilder’s body but he moves like a real athlete.
“He did twenty rounds, no problem. We were all done after 12 rounds, we did a lot of body sparring, we were all dead. And he kept doing the heavy bag and pad work, he’s crazy. He does not know when to stop.
“His movement is amazing and he wasn’t even fully fit. He doesn’t give up, that’s how we all know him. He doesn’t give up; neither in life, neither in the ring, neither in the training. He never gives up. That was his first sparring after the Deontay Wilder fight. He is sick, he is crazy good.
“He played with me but it wasn’t a serious spar, nothing serious. Right now I would have no success against him, he’s too experienced.
“I think Joshua can’t win. I don’t think Joshua can survive 12 rounds because in this era Tyson is the king, no one can beat him.”
    TALE OF THE TAPE
Tyson Fury is yet to be beaten in his professional career spanning 31 fights!

    DAN THE MAN
A potential future opponent for either Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua.
Daniel Dubois has split with trainer Mark Tibbs before their first fight together as he links up instead with Shane McGuigan.
The 23-year-old decided to leave Martin Bowers and partner up with Tibbs after his defeat to Joe Joyce in November.
But six months later – and with his comeback clash against Bogdan Dinu just three weeks away – The Mail have now reported that he has changed trainer once more.
It is thought that the split between Tibbs and Dubois occurred after the trainer informed the fighter he had other commitments.
Tibbs – who also coaches fellow heavyweight Dillian Whyte – was in the corner for Billy Joe Saunders’ defeat to Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez last weekend.
    GOOD MORNING BOXING FANS
Anthony Joshua is champing at the bit to face Tyson Fury, who he plans to ‘absolutely demolish’ in their undisputed heavyweight title fight.
Eddie Hearn told Sky Sports: “You will get a different AJ in this build-up.
“He’s excited because he’s never really, apart from the Dillian Whyte fight, been in a trash talk environment. He will enjoy it.“AJ has got the bit between his teeth, goading him a bit.
Elsewhere, Fury has gone teetotal as he bids to keep his mental health demons at bay.

    TALE OF THE TAPE
Here’s a reminder of how the two British icons match-up…

    DON’T ASK
It may not be the huge super fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua but Ben Askren’s money-fight with Jake Paul has continued to make headlines.
Funky surrounded himself with the ‘wrong people’ ahead of his ill-fated clash with the YouTuber, according to UFC lightweight Tony Ferguson.
In an interview with The Schmo, he said of his meeting with Funky: “I’m gonna be real, it was cool.
“I told him he’s coachable and that he’s gonna have a good shot but he’s going to have to hit the bag.
“Boxing is no joke, man. You can go out there and learn the sport, but it’s an Olympic sport. People forget that.
“MMA is so young it hasn’t made it to that spot yet. When I started surrounding myself around boxers, that’s what you get. You get into that mentality. That structured mentality.
“Ben, he went over there and I could kinda see that he was [working] really hard and he was doing his thing.
“But he was surrounding himself with the wrong people and the vibe about too much of the hype.”
    JOSH BOSH
Anthony Joshua is champing at the bit to face Tyson Fury, who he plans to ‘absolutely demolish’ in their undisputed heavyweight title fight.
He told Sky Sports: “You will get a different AJ in this build-up.

    MAL IT OVER
Deontay Wilder uploaded footage working on defensive drills with his ‘new trainer’ Malik Scott – the man he knocked out in 2014.
The American is on the comeback trail having started training again following his defeat to Tyson Fury in February 2020.
He has recently posted clips working on the pads with Scott, 40, who was formerly his sparring partner.
But it appears as part of Wilder’s revamp in his camp, the ex-heavyweight contender is now his trainer.
Wilder, 35, posted on Instagram: “An Amazingly Peaceful Session…W/ my brotha and new trainer @malikkingscott.”
In the clip, the Bronze Bomber can be seen practising defences, slipping and rolling, as well as body shots, elements he previously neglected.

    PRIME TIME
Tyson Fury’s undisputed heavyweight title fight with Anthony Joshua will likely be held at 9pm UK time.
The eagerly-anticipated Battle of Britain – which has been years in the making – is set to take place in Saudi Arabia on August 14.
Given the magnitude of the fight, there were fears the contest would be aired at a time catered for the North American market.
But according to Bad Left Hook, Joshua vs Fury will get underway between 11pm and midnight Saudi time – meaning the fight will start between 9pm and 10pm in the UK.
The news will be music to the ears of British boxing fans, who have had to endure the pain of the pair’s first meeting not taking place on these shores.
