    LECLERC IS ON POLE

    PAIN FOR VERSTAPPEN

RED FLAG LECLERC HAS CRASHED – BUT HE IS ON POLE
Huge drama as the Ferrari man, who was already on provisional pole, crashed at the end of his lap.
He takes pole, as the session is stopped with just 18 seconds to go after crashing at the swimming pool section.
It means Verstappen and Bottas are unable to better their lap times when they were on flying laps.
    HAMILTON IN TROUBLE
He hits the barriers on his flying lap. He is still going but his time is down.
VERSTAPPEN FAILS TO BETTER HIS LAP TIME
However, there is still time. 1m 30sec to go. Track is getting very busy.
WOW LECLERC TAKES PROVISOINAL POLE FROM VERSTAPPEN
This is heating up as the two trade places.
Q3 IS GO. CAN HAMILTON FIGHT BACK OR IS THIS MAX VERSUS THE FERRARIS?
Verstappen takes provisional pole with a time of 1:10.576. Bottas was just 0.060 seconds slower.
This is going to be close. Ferrari yet to show their hand.
    ELIMINATED FROM Q2
Ocon, Stroll, Raikkonen and Russell are also out of the top 10 shootout. Antonio Giovinazzi is through.
    RICCIARDO IS OUT
The Australian is out of Q2. He is in 12th after failing to get into the top 10 shoot out.
That is very disappointing for the former Monaco GP winner, who has been out-shone by his McLaren teammate, Lando Norris.
    MERC STILL OFF THE PACE
Bottas in P4 and Hamilton in P6. Could be a miserable result for the Silver Arrows.
    IN THE DROP ZONE
Giovinazzi, Stroll, Ocon, Raikkonen and Russell. Can the Brit make it in to Q3?
    LANDO NORRIS IS FLYING
He has just put his McLaren in second, between the two Ferraris. That was a great lap from the Brit.
FIRST RUNS IN Q2 AND FERRARI LEAD
It is Sainz ahead of Leclerc. Verstappen is in P3 and Hamilton P4.
Q2 IS GO – GREEN LIGHT IN THE PITLANE
The session is live as George Russell looks to reach Q3 for the first time in his Williams. That would be a huge achievement.
WORLD CHAMPION FERNANDO ALONSO OUT IN Q1
The two-time world champion is OUT at the first hurdle. He joins Schumacher, Mazepin, Latifi and Tsunoda in the TV pen after failing to reach Q2.
IN THE DROP ZONE FOR Q1
Mazepin, Latifi, Ocon and Alonso are in the bottom five. Mick Schuamcher will not take part in quali as he busted his Haas in Q3.
The German will start in last place having been given permission to start the race.
FINALLY A MERC TOPS THE TIME SHEETS
But it is not Hamilton, who is in P7, but his teammate, Bottas.
The Finn is quickest ahead of Leclerc and Verstappen.
    FERRARI IN THE HUNT

QUALIFYING IS GO FOR THE MONACO GP
Who will be on pole? A six-way shoot out. Mercedes have been on the back foot.
The stage is set for Verstappen to take P1. But will Ferrari have a say in that?
IT IS “GAME OVER FOR MERCEDES”
Scathing verdict from Nico Rosberg, who says “there is not much they can do now. They are stuck and in a corner and I don’t hold much hope for them in qualifying “.
Zinger from the former Merc man, who won the title with the team in 2016.
IT IS VERSTAPPEN WHO LEADS THE WAY
Then the two Ferrari drivers as they look in excellent form on the Monte Carlo streets.
But Hamilton goes in to the most important qualifying session of the year in SEVENTH.
SECOND CRASH FOR SCHUMACHER THIS WEEK IN MONACO

RED FLAG BIG CRASH FOR SCHUMACHER
His Haas is busted up. He is out of the car but wow, that is a lot of damage to his car.
The session is stopped but his car is in pieces. Unlikely his Haas mechanics will get that repaired in time for qualifying.
McLAREN RUNNING SPECIAL ONE-OFF GULF LIVERY THIS WEEKEND

    “MERCEDES ARE IN TROUBLE”
Nico Rosberg says his form team are struggling for pace. They are behind Red Bull AND Ferrari.
Hamilton in P5 and Bottas in P6. They have their work cut out if they are to take pole.

    DEL HELL
Sir Alex Ferguson has questioned the recent form of Tottenham star Dele Alli.
The legendary coach thought the 25-year-old midfielder was going to become a ‘top player’ and has admitted he ‘doesn’t know what’s happened’ to his promising career.
Speaking to SPORTbible, Ferguson said: “I thought Dele Alli was going to be a top player, I must admit.
    “I don’t know what’s happened there.”
The 79-year-old had been asked if there was anyone from the current game he’d try and sign if he was still a manager.
He was about to talk about Harry Kane before unexpectedly turning his attention to his Tottenham colleague.
Alli burst on to the scene in 2015 when he joined Spurs from MK Dons for £5million, winning the PFA Young Player of the Year award in his first season at White Hart Lane.
    ROO THE DAY
Dimitar Berbatov has shared how he and his Manchester United felt after Wayne Rooney handed in a transfer request at the club.
Rooney, 35, infamously handed in transfer requests on two occasions, in 2010 and 2013.
Berbatov said: “Transfer requests are a normal thing in football, players want to leave clubs.
“I was at Manchester United when one of the biggest names in football at the time, Wayne Rooney wanted to leave and handed in a transfer request.
“There were a lot of questions about why he wanted to go at the time and there was a lot of speculation, but in the dressing room you try to understand motives behind something like this and you don’t ask about it.
“You just try to put yourself in the player’s situation and see things from their side.
“As a player you can’t pay too much attention to these things and get distracted by it because it can affect your own game and performance.
“Moments like this can bring tension to a team which is why you shouldn’t focus too much on it, you can only hope that it gets resolved as quickly as possible for the good of the team.”

    DEPAY HIM
Memphis Depay will quit Lyon this summer, with Barcelona reported to be interested in signing the ex-Manchester United forward.
The 27-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season – and it’s bad news for United, who are set to receive nothing from the player’s sell-on clause.
Speaking to French newspaper L’Equipe, Depay said: “It will be strange to think that I will play my final game for the club on Sunday against Nice.
“I am a bit sad that I won’t be able to do that in front of the fans, in an empty stadium without my friends, the fans and my family.
“I’ve had some great times here. I have played in the Champions League, I have captained the team and I am a much better player now.
“I want to go to one of the two or three best clubs in the top five leagues. I don’t know where I will end up yet, but that’s my plan.
“If people don’t consider me a player of that level then they have a problem with me. If I am not on the list of great players then it’s their problem.”

    NOU CHALLENGE
Sergio Aguero has agreed a two-year Barcelona contract as Manchester City’s record scorer heads for a summer free transfer.
That’s the claim from journalist Fabrizio Romano as Aguero battles to be fit for City’s Champions League final against Chelsea on May 29.
Aguero is likely to miss the Premier League kings’ domestic finale against Everton in front of returning home fans on Sunday with his leg injury.
But Romano believes the Argentina striker, 32, has made dramatic progress off the field in reported talks with Barcelona.
He tweeted that Aguero is “set to join until June 2023, agreement reached. Bonus included in case Barca will win the UCL”.

    LOCK & KEY
Allan Saint-Maximin has urged Newcastle to land Joe Willock on a permanent deal.
The Arsenal loanee, 21, has scored in his last six consecutive matches to fire Toon to Premier League safety.
Saint-Maximin also compared his relationship on the field with Willock to that of lethal Tottenham pair Harry Kane and Heung-min Son.
He added: “My relationship is really good with Joe inside and outside the pitch, and you can see how that helps a team when you have players like that – like Harry Kane and Heung-min Son at Tottenham.”
Saint-Maximin, undoubtedly Newcastle’s shining light in a disappointing campaign, was also speaking openly about his own future.
Newcastle boss Steve Bruce said interest in Saint-Maximin, 24, is ‘inevitable’ this summer.
And whilst the tricky winger admitted he is eager to win trophies, he suggested landing the quality of Willock will help convince him to stay.

    ART ATTACK
Fabrizio Romano is adamant that Arsenal are going to continue with Mikel Arteta in the dugout.
Romano said on the Here We Go podcast: “Arsenal’s intention is to go on with Arteta, I would say 100 per cent, because they are convinced with Arteta, they are convinced with the project.
“They think that one year with this kind of manager, he needs time.
“The season has been really disappointing and they know about it, but they want to continue with Arteta, so at the moment the situation is planning with him about players to sell, players to sign and rebuilding in the summer.
“So Arteta is the man for Arsenal”
    YOU JUST GOT KANED
Wigan chairman Talal Al-Hammad has mocked Tottenham by telling his Twitter followers the League One side are ‘monitoring’ Harry Kane.
The England captain wants to leave North London and the Wigan chief jokingly offered to have him at the DW Stadium next season.
The banter started when Al-Hammad tweeted an inspirational quote.
He wrote on the social media platform: “Dream big – dream very big.
“Work hard – work very hard, don’t tell me the sky’s the limit when there are footprints on the moon. Up the Tics.”
Having lifted silverware more recently than Tottenham Hotspur we are continuing to monitor the Harry Kane situation closely https://t.co/UV0Dw8ZEMt— Talal Al Hammad | طلال الحماد (@Talalalhammad32) May 21, 2021

    JAD YOUR CHANCE
Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho will be allowed to leave the club for under £86million this summer, according to reports.
And Manchester United and Chelsea are set to battle it out in an ‘open race’ for the England winger.
The Red Devils were desperate to land Sancho last summer.
But Dortmund’s previous asking price of £117million proved to be more than United were willing to pay.
This time around, however, Fabrizio Romano reports that the German side’s position is ‘clear’ – that they will sell for a ‘bit less’ than £86m.
Man United and Chelsea are both keen on signing the 21-year-old, but no offers or talks have yet taken place.

    IN THE BAGGIE
Chris Wilder will reportedly hold talks over becoming West Brom’s new boss.
The Baggies are on the lookout for a manager after Sam Allardyce rejected an offer to plot their promotion bid out of the Championship.
Having only won four of his 25 games in charge, the 66-year-old has called for the club to find a ‘long-term’ solution in the dugout.
Lincoln boss Michael Appleton and ex-Chelsea manager Frank Lampard have been linked.
But Wilder is the frontrunner after the Telegraph reported on upcoming negotiations between the club and coach.
West Brom are said to be keen on a free agent with their summer transfer budget already set.

    UP FOR THE CUP
The prospect of the World Cup coming every TWO years took a huge step forward after Fifa voted to back the idea.
Fifa President Gianni Infantino is a supporter of the concept, which is bitterly opposed by European chiefs.
But a proposal to establish a “feasibility study” into the idea of holding both the men’s and women’s World Cups on a two-year cycle passed by a substantial margin at the virtual Congress of the 211 member associations.
Saudi Arabia’s proposal was supported by 166 nations, with only 22 opposed and 21 abstaining – Pakistan and Chad are currently suspended by Fifa.
Only the Saudis, backed by Morocco, spoke about the motion, although a smiling Infantino promised: “This will be looked at by the Fifa administration and all stakeholders.”
But Infantino also signaled he will use the study to look at significant changes to the number of international matches played in qualifying campaigns.
Infantino, in his earlier address to the world game, said: “We face challenges and questions about how many matches can a player play per year.
“Do we want more games or less, but more meaningful, games? The International Match Calendar is global and has to take into account the variety of situations around the world.
“Our starting point is not that the calendar is full and nothing can change. Instead we have a blank sheet of paper and we are open to take on board all views and opinions about how to make it better.
“We cannot just look at the final tournament in isolation. We have to look at qualifying competitions as well.”

    BRUY ME
Harry Kane has described Kevin De Bruyne as the Premier League star he would most like to play with – amid rumours linking him with a move to Manchester City.
The league champions are joined by Chelsea and Manchester United in chasing down the 27-year-old after he told Tottenham he wanted to leave.
It is thought Kane would prefer a move to the Etihad and the opportunity to work with playmaker De Bruyne appears to be a tempting one.
During an episode of The Overlap, the striker was asked by Gary Neville who he dreams of playing in front of.
Kane didn’t hesitate and replied: “De Bruyne for sure.
“When I watch De Bruyne play… he’s a special, special player.
“And some of the balls I see him put in for City are just a striker’s dream if I’m honest.
“You see it year in year out, he’s an outstanding player.
“With the ball, off the ball, pressing. But his delivery is as good as I’ve ever seen.”

    SEE LU, LATER
Arsenal confirmed David Luiz will leave the club on a free agent at the end of the season after just two years at the club.
The Gunners signed the Brazilian centre-back, 34, from Chelsea in an £8million deal in the summer of 2019.Luiz has since gone on to help them win the 2019-20 FA Cup in 73 games at the Emirates.
But Mikel Arteta has confirmed Luiz will walk away from the club this summer after negotiations over a contract extension collapsed.
And Arsenal’s official Twitter account posted an image of Luiz, simply captioned with a heart emoji following the news.
On Luiz’s departure, Arteta said: “He’s a player who has won everything in football and has earned every right to do so through who he is as a player and as a person.
“I had the privilege to work with him for 18 months. I really enjoyed it. I think we got on really good. I think we had some great moments together.
“He’s been really helpful, someone who we really like and appreciate so much. So I say thank you to him and wish him the best of luck in his next chapter.
“I’m sure knowing David that he will have many more to come as a player and in the future somehow related to the game.”

    HAAL OF A MOVE
Tottenham reportedly started planning for Harry Kane’s exit in FEBRUARY – and even discussed moving for Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland to replace him.
The North London club have been left stunned after the striker told them he wants to move this summer.
That should see a £150million transfer scramble by a player highly regarded in world football.
According to MailOnline, in February Spurs ‘made discreet enquiries about the terms required by Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland’.
But they were put off by his wage demands – believed to be at least £350,000-a-week.
Recruiting a potential replacement for 27-year-old Kane then began, with Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus and Manchester United star Anthony Martial shortlisted.
Although Spurs chairman Daniel Levy does not want to sell to the two Manchester clubs, those players could form part of the deal.

    ROYAL RUMBLE
Arsenal and Everton are interested in Barcelona right-back Emerson Royal, according to reports.
The Brazilian has spent the last two seasons on loan at Real Betis, as he looks to establish himself in LaLiga.
Emerson, 22, hopes to impress parent club Barca during pre-season, aiming to become their first choice right-back next term
But should he look likely to have to play understudy to Sergino Dest, the former Atletico Mineiro starlet will look elsewhere.
According to Sport, Emerson wouldn’t be short of suitors, with Villarreal and AC Milan both keen.
But they reckon that the player himself prefers the idea of moving to England.
Arsenal are a particularly good fit, especially if Hector Bellerin completes a rumoured move to Paris Saint-Germain.

    DOR OPEN
Chelsea are plan to step up their pursuit of Jadon Sancho by launching an £80million bid.
The Blues are huge admirers of the England winger but face a battle with Manchester United for his signature.
The 21-year-old is set to quit Borussia Dortmund this summer and has his heart set on a return to the Premier League.
Sancho was eyed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side last year but his £117m price tag proved too high.
SunSport understands Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is a huge fan of the Three Lions wideman.
The German wants to focus on having a strong finish to the season before eyeing transfers.
But Stamford Bridge chiefs are then expected to make a serious move for the former Manchester City academy kid.

    IRN BRU
Steve Bruce admitted that Arsenal loanee Joe Willock may have priced himself out of a permanent Newcastle move.
He said: “It’s a double-edged sword because he’s probably done too well. I know for a fact we will do our utmost to test Arsenal’s resolve.
“We know it’s going to be very, very difficult because he’s become the youngest player in the Premier League to score six in six, and he’s somebody else’s player.
“We’re going to be up against it. We’re expecting that but we can only try, and I will make sure we try our best.
“We have to respect that he’s Arsenal’s player and that he’s 21-years-old.
“But of course it would be disappointing if we can’t bring him back.”

    GOOD FOR THE SOL
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed he does not expect ‘too many outgoings’ in the upcoming transfer window.
The United manager said: “We’re planning as we normally do. It’s not like end of season, and let’s see what we do, that’s an ongoing process, looking at the squad, players who are going to stay, players who might be leaving.
“And, as I said a couple of times recently, I hope we’re going to strengthen with two or three players we definitely need to challenge higher up in the table.
“We’re still too behind to think it’s just going to come by itself. We’ve had a few players on loan that might come back in, there is interest in a few others, maybe going out.
“But you want to come out of the transfer window strengthened and it might be we allow some players to go out and gain experience, come back stronger for it.
“Apart from that, it’s difficult to say. I can’t see too many outgoings.”
    EUR HAVING A LAUGH
Journalist David Ornstein has claimed Arsenal’s transfer business won’t be affected if they fail to qualify for Europe.
He told Sky Sports: “I know with Arsenal they [the transfer plans] have already been submitted by Edu and Mikel Arteta to the board of directors and they are very clear in what they want to do.
“Whether they will be able to do it will depend on the finance which is made available by the owners and whether they will be able to attract players.
“I know of a number of players Arsenal have made proposals to, very attractive, and they do have a plan to get back into the big time.
“Edu & Arteta are selling an impressive project to potential recruits but many of those players have ambitions to play in the Champions League or at least the Europa League so they are not considering those proposals at this point.”
    TAKING THE NIK
Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Bayern Munich defender Niklas Sule this summer.
The 25-year-old has been in and out of the German champions’ side over the last two campaigns.
He has played 133 times for Bayern but could well be on the move at the end of the season, according to Abendzeitung.
This is because his contract expires in 2022, so the club may feel they need to cash in on him this summer.
When talking about contract negotiations with Sule, Bayern board member Oliver Kahn said: “You have to see what package we can offer a player.
“FC Bayern has an excellent squad that can win all titles. And this wonderful city! What more do you want as a player?”
Niklas Sule could be set for a move to England this summer
    SOL TRADER
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told the Glazers they need to splash the cash on two or three more players to close the gap on champions City.
United sealed runners-up spot last week but will still finish well adrift of their neighbours.
Now the Red Devils boss wants to spend to make sure that they can lift the title next season for the first time since 2013.
Solskjaer said: “I hope we are going to strengthen with two or three players, we definitely need to challenge higher up in the table and we’re still too far behind to think it will just come by itself.
“We’re not where we aim to be, we’ve got ambitions to move one place further up.”
Spurs striker Harry Kane, Jadon Sancho at Borussia Dortmund and even a return for Cristiano Ronaldo are all being discussed at the highest level at Old Trafford.
They will hope to get one of those and then prioritise another centre-back and midfielder.
    ALL OUT
Massimiliano Allegri has reportedly snubbed an approach from Tottenham in order to wait to see whether Zinedine Zidane leaves Real Madrid.
The North London club are looking for a permanent replacement for Jose Mourinho after axing the Portuguese boss days before the Carabao Cup Final.
Ryan Mason is in temporary charge until the end of the season but chairman Daniel Levy is already working on finding a new man to take over.
Now Diario AS claims former Juventus boss Allegri was asked about his interest in the job.
The Italian has been out of work since leaving the Old Lady two years ago.
However, the Spanish outlet says the 53-year-old rejected Spurs because he is keen on potentially replacing Zidane at Madrid.
Reports emerged last week that the French legend will leave the Bernabeu this summer due to a feeling he no longer has the support of president Florentino Perez.
Massimiliano Allegri has reportedly snubbed Tottenham
    BUZZ KYL
Kylian Mbappe and his family ‘have an agreement’ with Real Madrid, according to reports.
But the Spanish giants face a battle striking a deal with Paris Saint-Germain.
The Frenchman is set to enter the final year of his contract at Parc des Princes, with little to indicate that he is close to penning an extension.
PSG’s Qatari owners have tabled a three-year extension.
But according to football agent Bruno Santin, Mbappe, 22, has already reached an agreement with Madrid.
Asked about the potential move, he told French network Canal+: “My feeling is more than he is willing to do it.
“I also have some information, according to which Kylian Mbappe and his family have an agreement with Real Madrid.
“In principle, there would be an agreement on the part of the player, but we also need the agreement of Paris Saint-Germain.”
    NUNO GOING
Nuno Espirito Santo will leave Wolverhampton Wanderers after Sunday’s final game of the season.
The 47-year-old Portuguese boss is walking away from Molineux by mutual agreement after four seasons.
Nuno said: “Since the first day we arrived at Compton, our ambition was to make a positive change and push this football club forward, and I am proud to say that we did that every single day. We achieved our goals, we did it with passion and we did it together.
“Firstly, I want to thank the supporters, who have all played such an important part in helping us reach new heights for Wolves, and the people of the city, who embraced us and made us feel at home.
“I, of course, want to thank all of the staff at Wolves, for their support and total commitment, every single day.
“Most importantly, I want to thank each-and-every player that we’ve worked with since the day we started, for their loyalty, their dedication, hard work and talent. They are the ones who have made this amazing journey possible for us.
“Sunday will be a very emotional day, but I am so happy that the fans will be back in Molineux and we can share one last special moment together, as one pack.”
    KEP YOUR MONEY
could be offered Kepa Arrizabalaga or Tammy Abraham in Chelsea’s bid to sign Harry Kane.
The Blues are in the mix to snap up the striker, 27, after he told Spurs of his desire to leave at the end of the season.
Manchester clubs United and City were revealed by SunSport this week to be preparing an £80million, five-year contract offer for the player.
But a huge transfer fee will also be required, potentially up to £150m, as Spurs seek to hold onto their star forward.
Therefore several reports of part-exchange deals have emerged with United said to be willing to let Anthony Martial or Jesse Lingard sign for Tottenham to reduce the cash payment.
According to ESPN, Chelsea are also considering this route with a number of fringe players eyed for a swap.
    MAN DOWN
Harry Maguire will miss the Europa League Final in Gdansk due to his ankle ligament injury.
Now he must be a major doubt for England and the Euros next month too.
Hopes were raised when he was pictured on Thursday night without crutches or his protective boot at the premier of Sir Alex Ferguson’s film ‘Never Give In’.
But Manchester United boss Ole Solskjaer says those are forlorn hopes.
Solskjaer said: “He’s walking but it’s a long way from walking to running. To be honest  I don’t think we’ll see him Gdansk, no.
“I’m going to give him until Tuesday night, the last training session to be out there. Steadily but surely he’s improving but ligaments take time to heal.”

    FORM-AL DISCUSSION
Mikel Arteta thought little of the fact Arsenal would be second in the table from the last 23 Premier League games.
He said: “Yes, it is very good but the league is played over 38 games.
“But at least it shows that we are able to do it and when we have a little bit more of a normal context, more normal situations.
“I am very positive about what we can do, but at the end of the day wee are judged on what we have done over the whole season and it is not, for sure, where we want to be.”

    TAKING THE MIK NOW
Mikel Arteta hopes a line can be drawn under takeover talks after Spotify founder Daniel Ek failed in a bid to buy the club from Stan Kroenke.
Arteta said: “I really hope so because it has been very clear where the owners are standing.
“I think I have given my view on the situation.
“Just for the benefit of the club, which is the only interest really of everyone who supports the club, the aim is to get the unity and togetherness that we need to be back where we want. That’s all.”
    GIFT OF THE GAB
After his injury time strike against Crystal Palace, will Gabriel Martinelli start against Brighton?

    TOP DOIG
Hibernian youngster Josh Doig has been likened to Arsenal star Kieran Tierney by former Gunners goalkeeper Matt Macey.
Brighton are strongly linked with the 19-year-old defender, who has been tipped to follow in his countryman’s footsteps and impress in the Premier League.
Macey said: “For me [comparisons to Tierney] are absolutely not unrealistic for Josh, he can go as far as he wants.
“He’s coming up to a big moment in his career, he has obviously had a lot of big moments already in terms of his age and making that breakthrough.
“He’s very level headed and he’ll take it in his stride. For me he can go right to the top. I have seen a lot of young players at Arsenal and he would be right up there, for sure.
“Kieran and Josh obviously play the same position and I can see the similarities in their playing style. Josh is maybe a little bit younger than when KT made his move to Arsenal, but he can go on and do well.”

    FINAL BELL
Hector Bellerin may have played his last game for Arsenal.
The Spanish right-back has been ruled out of the Gunners’ final game of the season against Brighton with a knock.
Boss Mikel Arteta is planning a transfer exodus and Bellerin is one of the names on the chopping block.
The full-back wants a new challenge in Europe and Arteta is eager to let him leave and land a new right-back to fill his boots.
With Europe still a possibility, here how Arsenal start against the Seagulls.

    PEPE TALK
Nicolas Pepe has 14 goals to his name in all competitions this season.
Take a look at his second strike against Crystal Palace on Wednesday.

    NO WORK OF ART
Mikel Arteta has spoken of his disappointment with how Arsenal’s season has finished.
The club are in danger of missing out on Europe and failed in their quest to reach the Europa League final.
Arteta said: “Well if you are saying it’s a step back because we haven’t won a title, then it has to be related.
“In the league we have two more points than last season, but it’s nowhere near where we want to be.
“The fact that we don’t have a title so close to grab because we’re not in the Europa League final makes it difficult to see more positives.
“But we were knocked out in the last-16 of the Europa League last season and a lot of things have been done that were very necessary in this season that are not related to results.
“But at the end of the day, we are here to win.”
    HEC OF A RUN
Hector Bellerin may have played his last game for Arsenal with injury ruling him out of the clash against Brighton.
With speculation rife that the right-back will depart in the summer, Mikel Arteta has played down reports linking him with a move.
He said: “Hector is not fit [for Sunday] so he will not be playing the last time.
“Like everybody that has a contract, he remains here.”

    WILL HE STAY?
Mikel Arteta has revealed that Joe Willock still has a future at Arsenal following his fantastic loan spell at Newcastle.
The England youth international has quickly become a fan favourite at St James’ Park having scored seven Premier League goals in 13 games.
Speaking of the midfielder ahead of Sunday’s clash against Brighton, Arteta said: “I am really happy that things have gone so well because of the potential that he has.
“I think it was great for him to go away and have a different experience, he has grabbed that opportunity in a really positive and remarkable way and he will come back to us.
“We will have a conversation with him and plan the next years for him.”
Before adding: “For sure because he’s got a contract and that’s going to be here. That’s for sure.”

    MOY BUEN
Norwich star Emiliano Buendia is reportedly keen to link up with Arsenal in the summer.
The Gunners have stepped up their interest in the Canaries playmaker and are believed to be set to make an offer.
And according to European football journalist Ekrem Konur, the Argentine ace has already made up his mind where he wants to play.
Konur tweeted: “Emiliano Buendía wants to go to Arsenal. Arsenal wanted Emiliano Buendia during the last transfer period, but his transfer was not completed.
“Negotiations are now continuing where they left off.”

    ODE OPTIONS
Arsenal are reportedly set to reignite their interest in Emiliano Buendia or Nabil Fekir if Martin Odegaard returns to Real Madrid.
The Norwegian playmaker is on loan from Los Blancos and a string of impressive displays has led Mikel Arteta to seek an extension – or even a permanent deal.
Real are said to want Odegaard, 22, back in the summer although the future of coach Zinedine Zidane may be a factor in that decision.
According to Goal, Arsenal are planning to bid for Buendia or Real Betis star Fekir if he moves on.
A deal would cost upwards of £40million for Buendia with Norwich back in the Premier League and Buendia under a three-year contract.
Meanwhile Fekir, 27, is described as further down the shortlist in Arteta’s bid to bring in a creative player this summer.

    ED’S UP
Arsenal reportedly remain in the race to lure Odsonne Edouard away from Celtic.
Leicester are understood to be the favourites to prised the French striker away from Scotland in the summer.
But according to the Daily Record, the Gunners are still keen on securing the 23-year-old’s services.
They state that a fee in the region of £20million should be enough to sign the centre-forward.
Edouard scored 18 goals in 31 Scottish Premiership games this season.

    BY ROYAL APPOINTMENT
Arsenal are reportedly in the hunt for Real Betis full-back Emerson Royal.
The 22-year-old is coming to the end of a two-year spell with the club, who have an agreement with Barcelona for a £5million summer switch.
But, should the Brazilian not want to play second fiddle to Sergino Dest at the Camp Nou, Sport name a number of clubs chasing his signature.
Arsenal, Everton, Villarreal, AC Milan and more are said to be monitoring the situation, with the Gunners potentially seeking a replacement for Hector Bellerin.
    GOOD MORNING ARSENAL FANS
Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on Norwich star Emiliano Buendia ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Gunners are lining up a potential replacement for Martin Odegaard, who may return to Real Madrid once his loan stint comes to an end.
According to Goal, the Canaries will demand around £40million for the Argentine playmaker.
The 24-year-old has registered 15 goals and 17 assists in 41 matches across all competitions this season and played a key role in Norwich’s return to the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp claims the club’s original DNA, which led to Premier League dominance, has been lost.
Bergkamp told Voetbal International: “Like Patrick Vieira and Thierry Henry, it’s hard for me to recognise the Arsenal from our time.
“The ambition to win trophies is in Arsenal’s DNA. Never accept a loss. That mentality has slowly disappeared.
“I feel there’s a sense of resignation within the current situation. That is very serious.
“It’s like it’s normal, given the financial conditions, that Arsenal are ending up somewhere in the middle of the league behind the top clubs.
“That’s not how it should be with this club. Arsenal’s DNA needs to be repaired.”
Bergkamp and fellow Invincibles Henry and Vieira have backed Spotify co-founder Daniel Ek‘s bid to buy the club from the Kroenke family and the former Netherlands international insists that the entrepreneur is “not a quitter”.
The legendary striker added: “Daniel doesn’t see a takeover as buying a nice toy.
“We can’t force anyone to sell. I understand that, in addition to that offer, Daniel has now reached out twice to Josh Kroenke and his bankers.
“Whatever Kroenke’s intentions are, it would be good if we at least have a conversation with each other.
“Regardless, Daniel is not a quitter and neither are we. We are here to stay.”
And Fabrizio Romano is adamant that Arsenal are going to continue with Mikel Arteta at the helm.
    LOST DE-NA
Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp claims the club’s original DNA, which led to Premier League dominance, has been lost.
Bergkamp told Voetbal International: “Like Patrick Vieira and Thierry Henry, it’s hard for me to recognise the Arsenal from our time.

    ART ATTACK
Fabrizio Romano is adamant that Arsenal are going to continue with Mikel Arteta at the helm.
    SHEAR JOY
Alan Shearer joked that Arsenal loanee Joe Willock may prefer to stay at Newcastle because he will want to play for a “big club” next season.
Willock joined the Magpies on loan during the January transfer window and has put together a raft of impressive performances while the Gunners are likely to miss out on European qualification for the first time in 25 years.
Shearer told Match of the Day: “Well, he might want to play for a big club so he might want to stay at Newcastle.
“I’m joking Arsenal fans! I’m joking!”
    BUENDIA ADMISSION
Norwich sporting director Stuart Webber recently admitted their star attractions could be sold in the summer.
Emiliano Buendia has been among the Canaries’ top stars this season and is currently linked with Arsenal.
Webber told BBC Look East: “One of them may go, maybe two or all three of them will go, who knows – but the facts are that this team isn’t about one or two players.
“For us to be successful in the Premier League it’s going to be how does the squad of 20 do, not if one player performs brilliantly.
“When we sold James Maddison [to Leicester] everyone thought it was the end of the world and then a guy called Emi Buendia turned up – when Ben Godfrey left [for Everton] it was the end of the world and a guy called Ben Gibson turned up, and that’s football”
    PEP TALK
Danny Murphy praised Arsenal star Nicolas Pepe after his performance against Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
Murphy told Match of the Day: “I think he suffered from the pressure of the price tag, but he’s certainly got talent.
“He’s quick, skilful, direct. Like so many players he’s been up and down with his form. Today he showed those bits of magic we’ve seen from him on occasions. Goals ultimately is where you’re judged as a forward player.
“He looked hungry. He looked sharp. He looked fit… He’s got 14 goals this season which isn’t a bad return considering they’ve had a poor season.
“Hopefully for Arenal fans they’ll see him progress a bit more next season. He’s got to play regularly. He’s got to produce this kind of form week in week out to keep the likes of Bukayo Saka out”
    GETTY IMAGES
    WILLOCK FUTURE
Joe Willock suggested he would be keen to stay at Newcastle when his loan spell from Arsenal runs out.
Willock told NUFC TV: “I want to say thank you for making me feel so welcome and thank you for greeting me with open arms.
“I hope you’re satisfied with what I’ve given for the club so far and hopefully there’s more to continue in the future.
“I’m not going to promise anything, but the conversation is going to be held”
    WATTS UP
Norwich ace Emiliano Bundia is on top of Arsenal’s transfer list but a deal won’t be easy, according to Charles Watts.
Watts said: “From what I understand, Emi Buendia now is very much right towards the top of that list.
“There has been no bid made to Norwich City yet for Buendia, but discussions are ongoing at Arsenal and the focus is certainly shifting towards him when it comes to potentially making an official move this summer.
“He is keen on a move to Arsenal, is my understanding. But Norwich are in a very strong position. He’s got three years left on his contract, he’s 24 years old, they’ve just been promoted to the Premier League, so it’s not like they really need the money now.
“And he’s just been called up by Argentina for the first time, so they are not going to just roll over and allow Buendia to leave for cheap.
“It looks like something around £40million would be needed to really get Norwich to take notice”

    GLAZE OVER IT
Co-chairman Joel Glazer has agreed to address a Fans Forum via zoom to address concerns and open up better lines of communication.
Solskjaer said: “Being reunited with the fans again was great, they supported the team really well and the fans meeting the owner is a step in the right direction.
“We want to start next season on a high, with a good atmosphere around the club.
“The one day that was a disappointing day was the Liverpool game.
“They’ve got a right to express a view they did it in the right way after that.”
    SOL TRAFFORD
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has spoken of the importance of having fans back in the stadium.

    BRUY ME
Harry Kane has described Kevin De Bruyne as the Premier League star he would most like to play with – amid rumours linking him with a move to Manchester City.
When I watch De Bruyne play… he’s a special, special player.
“And some of the balls I see him put in for City are just a striker’s dream if I’m honest. You see it year in year out, he’s an outstanding player.
“With the ball, off the ball, pressing. But his delivery is as good as I’ve ever seen.”

    MARTIAL LAW
In a further blow for Manchester United, Anthony Martial will also miss the Europa League final.
The French forward has not recovered from his knee injury in time to face Villarreal.
He joins Harry Maguire in being unavailable through injury.
    Though in a positv
Anthony Martial has not recovered from his knee injury to be fit for the Europa League final but both Fred and Scott McTominay who picked up knocks against Fulham will be fit.

Man Utd won the FA Cup against Liverpool on this day in 1977.

    ING FOR A PENNY
Man City are reportedly interested in signing Southampton striker Danny Ings if they fail in their pursuit of Harry Kane.
Pep Guardiola’s side are thought to be among the Premier League sides chasing Kane, with Manchester United and Chelsea also competing for the England captain who has recently expressed his intent to leave Tottenham.
But if that does not come off, The Athletic are reporting that Man City have the same idea as their local rivals Man Utd in signing fellow English forward Ings.
The Saints striker has impressed for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side since returning to the club following an unsuccessful spell with Liverpool.
After netting eight times during a loan period back at St Mary’s, Ings joined on a permanent deal at the beginning of the 2019-20 campaign.
And since then he has scored a tremendous 38 goals in 72 games for Southampton.

    SUL SEARCHING
FC Nordsjaelland’s manager has confirmed both Liverpool and Manchester United are in the race for Kamaldeen Sulemana.
SunSport exclusively revealed how Red Devils’ top scout Tommy Moller Nielsen watched the brilliant 19-year-old in action earlier this month.
His boss Flemming Pedersen admitted the Premier League duo are ready to pounce but conceded the Dutch giants would be the best move for his development.
He told TV3 Sport: “Ajax is perhaps the safe choice where he will definitely get plenty of playing time.
‘[Manchester] United, Liverpool and others are in the race. Well, I also know Kamal so well that when he is pressured, he automatically takes the next step as well.
“And with the personality and mentality he has, there I will never ever say it will be too big a leap, for he is extraordinary.’
“I cannot stand here to say that I expect him to be here next season because there is so much talk about him.”
Kamaldeen Sulemana is wanted by both Manchester United and Liverpool
    RON WAY BACK?
Manchester United are ready to snap up Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus this summer, according to reports.
And should the Portuguese icon be available, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ‘would not hesitate’ in sanctioning a move for his former team-mate.
Ronaldo, 36, is set to consider his options after Sunday’s Serie A final day, following a desperately disappointing season for the Old Lady.
Juve currently sit fifth in the table, trailing the Champions League places by a point.
But even if Andrea Pirlo’s side do clinch a top four berth, Ronaldo may opt to leave a year before his contract expires.
And according to The Athletic, Man United chiefs are ‘monitoring’ their former No7’s situation with increasing interest.
Solskjaer, 48, remains ‘in touch’ with Ronaldo, and even asked him for a character reference before signing Bruno Fernandes in January 2020.

    KWIK-E-MART
A player-plus-cash deal could be Manchester United’s only way of signing Harry Kane, according to reports.
The Tottenham star, 27, has told the club that he wants a summer move to finally bag some major silverware.
Manchester City and Chelsea have been linked with a bid, along with United.
The Athletic report on enquiries for the striker landing from both Manchester clubs as they gauge the likelihood of a deal.
SunSport revealed this week that the neighbours are willing to put an £80million, five-year contract on the table if a bid is accepted.
Tottenham are said to have not completely dismissed selling Kane with a fee of £120million thought to be enough to secure his services.

    GET GREAL
Man City are interested in signing Man Utd targets Jack Grealish and Harry Kane this summer, according to reports.
Pep Guardiola’s side have already bagged two trophies this season, and could bag a third when they face Chelsea in the Champions League final next week.
But this success doesn’t mean that they won’t necessarily spend big in the off season.
According to the Telegraph, Guardiola and Co are targeting a number of big names this summer – including Kane and Grealish.
The Spurs striker, 27, has made his desire to leave Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer clear, telling Gary Neville that he would like an ‘honest conversation’ with chairman Daniel Levy.
And while Guardiola, 50, refused to comment on speculation, he is privately known to be a huge admirer of Spurs’ No10.

    DIM VIEW
Harry Kane should be allowed to leave Tottenham for the good of the club, Dimitar Berbatov has claimed.
He told Betfair: “I saw the clip of [Kane] waving and clapping the fans after the defeat to Aston Villa and he could have just been thanking the fans for their support, after all that was the first time they were back at the stadium.
“I can see why that could be seen as him saying goodbye, but let’s not jump to conclusions and at the end of the day he’s still at the club and he’s got a big couple of months coming up.
“It’s never a good thing for a player and the club to fight, if a player has expressed they want to leave then they have made up their mind.
“If a club fights and makes a move away complicated for the player then it’s not a pleasant situation for everyone involved, including the fans and other players.
“If Kane has told the club he wants to leave then they should find a reasonable way to agree what the fee should be and how to part ways.”

A police statement read: “A Met investigation into a torrent of online racist abuse directed at a high profile London footballer, has resulted in twelve men being arrested or interviewed under caution.
“The recent police action, which occurred over the past two weeks, culminated yesterday evening (Thursday 20 May) with a man being visited by the Met at his Greater Manchester home address.
“The twelve men have each been arrested, or interviewed under caution, under suspicion of using words or behaviour, or displaying written material with intent to stir up racial hatred.”
The Met were alerted to the abuse through Manchester United’s online reporting tool, See Red, and investigated to track down the anonymous account holders.
The men were then spoken to under ‘suspicion of using words or behaviour, or displaying written material with intent to stir up racial hatred’.
    RACISM ARRESTS
Metropolitan Police have confirmed eight arrests over allegations of the racist abuse of Tottenham star Son Heung-min.
The Korean forward was targeted with disgusting attacks following April’s 3-1 defeat to Manchester United.
Both clubs and the Premier League strongly condemned the incident amid countless cases of footballers being abused online.
The Met have confirmed eight arrests as a result of an investigation into the racist attacks of a ‘high-profile Tottenham player’.
The unnamed men were aged between 20 and 32 and lived across the UK, including Dorset, Llanelli, Hartlepool and Cheshire.
All eight have been released under investigation.
A further four, including a 63-year-old man, have been interviewed under caution, all of whom have been released as enquiries continue.
    GOOD MORNING MAN UTD FANS
Tottenham superstar Harry Kane has reiterated his desire to win trophies and stated he does not want to end his career with any regrets.
Kane has told Spurs he wants to leave the club at the end of the season after another trophyless campaign that saw the north Londoners missing out on Champions League qualification for the second year in a row.
The England star striker told Gary Neville’s YouTube show, The Overlap: “I don’t want to come to the end of my career and have any regrets. I want to be the best I can be.
“I never said I’d stay at Spurs for the rest of my career and I’ve never said I’d leave Spurs. People might say, ‘he’s desperate for trophies, he needs trophies’, but I feel like I’ve still got almost another career to play.
“I’ve still got so much more to give. I can produce better numbers than I’m producing at the moment.
“I’m not afraid to say, ‘I want to be the best’. I want to try and get on the level [Cristiano] Ronaldo and [Lionel] Messi got to. That’s my ultimate goal – to be winning trophies season in, season out, scoring 50, 60, 70 goals season in, season out.”
Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are now keeping tabs as the 27-year-old appears set to stay in the Premier League.
Liverpool legend John Barnes has advised the Tottenham star to snub a move to City and opt for the Blues or United instead.
Barnes told BonusCodeBets: “As far as the three clubs go, he should pick Chelsea or Manchester United rather than Manchester City.
“If he goes to Manchester City, he is not going to be the player he is at Tottenham, because at Tottenham he is the creator, goalscorer and the focal point for everything.
“Whereas, at Man City, he wouldn’t be that as there are other players that provide for him, it is a more comprehensive way of playing that he wouldn’t be used to.
“Chelsea and Manchester United need a centre-forward. Manchester United have good players around them. They have got Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood, but they really need a No9.
“Chelsea also need a striker, and it seems as if Thomas Tuchel doesn’t fancy Tammy Abraham or Timo Werner.”
And Harry Maguire has handed Manchester United a significant injury boost.
Maguire hurt his ankle against Aston Villa two weeks ago and cast doubt over his fitness ahead of the Europa League Final against Villarreal on May 26.
However, the England defender ditched his crutches when he attended the premiere of Sir Alex Ferguson’s new movie.
    KING ERIC
Manchester United star Harry Maguire has congratulated club legend Eric Cantona for his induction into the Premier League Hall of Fame.
Maguire shared a picture of his with Cantona and expressed what an honour it was to meet the legendary Frenchman.
He posted: “‘Great to spend time with @manchesterunited legend @ericcantona recently.
“Congratulations on being inducted into the #PLHallOfFame, well deserved”

    BECKS OF THE BEST
Manchester United legend David Beckham has joined the Premier League Hall of Fame.
Beckham takes his rightful place next to former United team-mates Eric Cantona and Roy Keane.
The legendary winger also joins Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard.
And here’s just one of the few reasons why:

    NEM-ING THEIR PRICE
Manchester United are open to letting Nemanja Matic join Jose Mourinho at Roma.
That is according to Corriere dello Sport, who claim that United have agreed to let Matic go for a cut-price €10million (£8.6m).
Mourinho has a long past with the star midfielder as he brought him to Chelsea from Benfica in 2014.
The Portuguese manager, who will replace Paulo Fonseca at the Olimpico in the summer, then took him with him to United
    AS A MATH-ER OF FACT
Paul Pogba should leave Manchester United and join Barcelona, according to the star midfielder’s brother Mathias.
The Tabor Sezana ace told El Chiringuito TV: “I hope my brother signs with Barcelona.”
Barca are on the lookout for a new midfielder and have been linked with Liverpool star Georginio Wijnaldum.
But much will depend on manager Ronald Koeman’s future following an average season with the Blaugrana

“We have to respect that he’s Arsenal’s player and that he’s 21-years-old.
“But of course it would be disappointing if we can’t bring him back.”
    BALED OUT
Gareth Bale is considering retirement after he sees out the final year of his contract at Real Madrid.
Bale is due to return to Spain after his loan spell at Tottenham and it has been claimed the 31-year-old is ready to call time on his career in 12 months.
Spanish title AS say the Welsh international is now going through the process of starting to wind down his playing career – and that has already impacted on how he has performed back at Spurs.
The winger made no secret of the fact he only agreed to the loan switch in order to ensure he was fit enough to lead the Wales challenge in the Euros this summer.
Being fit for the international game has been so central to his thoughts that it has meant he has picked and chosen when he was able to play at club level this season.
It has emerged Bale drew up his own individual training plan which has seen him only take part in three work-outs a week – one of them being a recovery session.
Chris Wilder is on West Brom’s shortlist after leaving Sheffield United
    RON WAY BACK?
Manchester United are ready to snap up Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus this summer, according to reports.
And should the Portuguese icon be available, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ‘would not hesitate’ in sanctioning a move for his former team-mate.
Ronaldo, 36, is set to consider his options after Sunday’s Serie A final day, following a desperately disappointing season for the Old Lady.

Solskjaer, 48, remains ‘in touch’ with Ronaldo, and even asked him for a character reference before signing Bruno Fernandes in January 2020.
    CAPTAIN FANTASTIC
Premier League-winning captain Wes Morgan has announced his retirement from football aged 37.
The Leicester defender famously lifted the title in 2016 to cap the Foxes’ remarkable fairytale feat.
On Friday, the Foxes confirmed his decision to hang up his boots at the end of the campaign.
Chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha said: “Wes has been one of Leicester City’s greatest servants, leading the team through the Club’s most successful era and helping to set the standards that have pushed the Club forward.
“A big brother to everyone he has played with, a strong representative of the squad and a valuable source of counsel to managers and senior executives in the Club, his contribution has been enormous.
“Wes has shown throughout his Leicester City career that he has a great deal to offer away from the pitch.
“I’m excited to see how we can help him shape his career after football and how the Club can continue to benefit from his experience, knowledge and passion for the game.”

    MESSI AFFAIR
Lionel Messi has played his final game for Barcelona this season, and possibly ever, after being granted permission to miss tomorrow’s season-ender against Eibar.
Ronald Koeman’s side have no chance of winning the title, having blown recent games against Granada, Atletico Madrid, Levante and Celta Vigo.
So with nothing on the line, Barca have opted to allow their talisman to miss training today, as well as tomorrow’s game, in order to take an early holiday.
The decision has been made in order to keep Messi fresh for next month’s Copa America, with the Argentine hoping to finally get his hands on the prestigious trophy.
But, having still not penned a new deal, this means that last weekend’s dismal 2-1 home defeat to Celta would have been Messi’s last game for the club, should he opt to leave.
Fans, however, are optimistic that the 33-year-old will stay, following the club election victory of Joan Laporta, and the imminent arrival of pal Sergio Aguero from Manchester City.

    BREND NEW TEAM
Tottenham are in the hunt for a new manager with Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers reportedly in line to replace Jose Mourinho.
Spurs are said to have made the Northern Irishman their top target and he could bring some famous Foxes, including Youri Tielemans, with him if he makes the move.
SunSport exclusively revealed today that should Leicester fail to qualify for the Champions League on Sunday, Spurs are ready to pounce for the former Liverpool and Celtic boss.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has been at pains to persuade his fellow execs the Leicester chief is still a suitable candidate.
Some are still sore about disparaging comments Rodgers made about the North Londoners after turning down an approach from them nine years ago.
But he is on the radar in their search for Mourinho’s replacement, after the Portuguese was sensationally axed last month and temporarily replaced by Ryan Mason.
Here’s how Spurs could look under Rodgers.

    READY FOR TCHOU
Chelsea are thought to be interested in signing Monaco’s midfield ‘monster’ Aurelien Tchouameni, according to reports.
Blues boss Thomas Tuchel will be looking to improve his squad in the summer as he hopes to build on an impressive start at Stamford Bridge.
And according to Goal, 21-year-old Tchouameni is on Chelsea’s radar as someone they would like to acquire.
The Frenchman has broken through as a first team regular for Monaco this season, playing 36 times and scoring two goals.
His importance to the Ligue 1 side means a move for Tchouameni’s services could set Tuchel’s men back a hefty £34million.
This is a great deal more than what he arrived for in January 2020 when he joined from Bordeaux for £15.5m.
Aurelien Tchouameni could be on his way to Stamford Bridge

    GET GREAL
Man City are interested in signing Jack Grealish and Harry Kane this summer, according to reports.
    RODGER THAT
EXCLUSIVE – Tottenham are ready to pounce for Brendan Rodgers if Leicester fail to qualify for the Champions League on Sunday.
Rodgers has been Daniel Levy’s preferred choice to replace Jose Mourinho but it had been feared Spurs may not be able to tempt him if the Foxes finish in the top four.
Leicester are in fifth going into the final game – against Spurs – and that has renewed Levy’s hopes of luring him away.
Now the Spurs chairman is desperate for his side to shatter Leicester’s Champions League dreams.
Although Europa League football would be a big achievement for Leicester, Spurs believe it may not be enough to keep 48-year-old Rodgers in the Midlands.
Tottenham face the nightmare prospect of being involved in the new Europa Conference League next season — or even out of Europe altogether — but Levy believes he can do enough to persuade his man to move south.

    ED’S UP
Arsenal reportedly remain in the race to lure Odsonne Edouard away from Celtic.

Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua LIVE updates: Gypsy King ‘to face Wilder on July 24’ as AJ set to fight Usyk – latest

ANTHONY JOSHUA and Tyson Fury are in training for their HUGE heavyweight world title fight. But there has been fresh dispute over the confirmation of the fight with Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3 ordered by a US judge.
And it’s been suggested by Bob Arum that trilogy showdown will be on July 24.
We’ll be bringing you ALL of the latest developments on the bout plus all of the news from the world of boxing right here…
    RAGING FURY
Tyson Fury has sent a chilling warning to Deontay Wilder ahead of their trilogy fight in July.
He told The Athletic: “Deontay Wilder’s a b***h, p***y, s**thouse an excuse maker and whoever it is in my next fight I don’t care who it is they are getting smashed to bits.
“I don’t care if it’s King Kong, Godzilla a great white shark, I don’t care who it is they are getting severely damaged.
“I’ve always had exceptional talent, exceptional ability to beat anybody that’s been put in front of me hence being unbeaten in 13 years. Whoever the next opponent is he is going to pay the price for all this messing around I’ve had over the last year.
“Covid f****d things up a lot, I was supposed to fight many different people, none of it has materialised. I’m being told now I’m fighting soon. I’m fit, ready to go, just got to cross all the ts and dot the is and I’m going to make mincemeat of whoever they put in front of me.”
Fury and Wilder are set to do battle for a third time
    CASH BACK
Anthony Joshua wants to know where Tyson Fury’s infamous £7million charity donation is before he signs up for a £20m bare-knuckle bout.
Watford’s 31-year-old WBA, IBF and WBO champ is furious his summer undisputed showdown with the WBC Gypsy King has been KO’d by his contractual obligation to fight Deontay Wilder for a third time.
And the warring boxers swapped Twitter insults on Wednesday night as things heated up between the pair, with Fury making the offer of a massive-money straightener.
Joshua then retweeted a fan comment that called into question Fury’s claim to have donated his huge purse from his 2018 draw with Deontay Wilder to good causes.
The message Joshua reposted said: “20M the f***ing homeless are still waiting on the 7M you promised them two years ago you sham.”
    AR YOU SERIOUS?
Tyson Fury will fight Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas on July 24, his promoter Bob Arum insists.
The American former heavyweight champion has thrown a spanner in the works of the Gypsy King’s undisputed clash with Anthony Joshua after a judge said his trilogy with Fury must go ahead.
And after insisting Fury, 32, would not pay step-aside money, Arum told Boxing Social: “There’s no chance he [Wilder] will step aside.
“Whatever it is, the judge said he had a right to the rematch and we are going to go ahead with it. It will definitely be in Las Vegas.
“It is what it is. He will take out his frustration and anger on Wilder and he tells me he will knock Wilder out quicker than he did last time.”
    YOU MAE REGRET IT
Jake Paul hit back at Tyson and Tommy Fury’s taunts by sharing a flirty ‘message’ from his rival’s girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague – only for her to claim it was a fake.
World heavyweight king Tyson and half-brother Tommy say the latter would destroy the YouTuber in the ring – showing the unbeaten American what professional boxing was really like.
But Paul labelled the Furys ‘desperate’ for enlisting NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal to help call him out and insisted he was leagues above Tommy.
The social media star then added controversy to the row by posting an Instagram image of an alleged DM from Molly-Mae in 2018.
According to Paul’s picture, she wrote: “Might be coming to America later this year and have always been a fan of your videos (heart emoji). Maybe you can show me around?!”
But Molly-Mae, who met Tommy on Love Island in 2019, scoffed at that claim.
The 21-year-old tweeted: “Times must be hard when you’re having to fake a DM…. (followed by two sad emojis)…photoshop is scary.”
Jake Paul posted this snap on his Instagram story
    GOOD MORNING BOXING FANS
Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder are likely to conclude their trilogy fights on July 24.
The big bout will probably take place at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, which is where one of the sport’s biggest rivalries today will come to a climax.
Fury seemed set for an all-British unification fight with Anthony Joshua but an arbitration court judge declared that Wilder is entitled to a rematch, after The Bronze Bomber turned down a step-aside fee.
That means Joshua may have to fight Oleksandr Usyk a month later after the WBO issued AJ with a 48-hour deadline on Thursday.
Wilder has broken his silence amid ongoing talks of a third fight against Tyson Fury.
The American bruiser and The Gypsy King first touched gloves three years ago in a fight that ended in a controversial draw as many claimed the British superstar deserved the victory.
The two heavyweights met again last year when Fury beat Wilder with a technical knockout in the seventh round.
The Bronze Bomber is now expected to get his opportunity to reclaim his WBC belt this coming summer.
Wilder had a message for Fury as he quoted Tupac’s ‘Hail Mary’ alongside a new workout video and wrote: “Revenge is the sweetest JOY next to getting p***y”.
Meanwhile, Fury has shared a bizarre video of himself, his brother Tommy, his son Prince, trainer SugarHill Steward and NBA legend Shaquille O’Neill calling the Paul brothers out.
To be more exact, Tommy and the rest of the crew are challenging Jake Paul to a fight.
Tyson’s brother, a 5-0 light heavyweight boxer, has been in a war of words with the youngest of the Paul brothers and a fight between the two has long been touted.
Tommy has stated that he would have broken Jake’s jaw if he tried the same thing he did with Floyd Mayweather.
Paul and Mayweather had a heated confrontation in front of the cameras until the YouTube personality grabbed Mayweather’s cap and ran away before the legendary boxer and some others chased after him.
Fury insists it would have been different if he were in Money’s shoes as the controversial celebrity would have been knocked out.
    FIGHT DATE

The bout will probably take place at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Joshua may fight Oleksand Usyk a month later
    WILDER BREAKS SILENCE
Deontay Wilder has broken his silence amid talks of a third fight against Tyson Fury.
Wilder’s successful legal case to enforce a third meeting with Fury may have scrapped plans for the all-British unification showdown between The Gupsy King and Anthony Joshua.
The Bronze Bomber turned down a step-aside fee, which could amount to approximately £20million.
Thus, the American boxer is now expected to get his opportunity to reclaim his WBC belt at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on 24 July, while Oleksandr Usyk could face Joshua a month later.
Wilder had a message for Fury as he quoted Tupac’s ‘Hail Mary’ alongside a new workout video and wrote: “Revenge is the sweetest JOY next to getting p***y”

    MIND THE CAP
Tommy Fury has stated that he would have broken Jake Paul’s jaw if he tried the same thing he did with Floyd Mayweather.
Paul and Mayweather had a heated confrontation in front of the cameras until the YouTube personality grabbed Mayweather’s cap and ran away before the legendary boxer and some other chased after him.
Fury insists it would have been different if he were in Money’s shoes as the controversial celebrity would have been knocked out.
Here’s what he told Dev Sahni:

    HITTING IT HARD
Tyson Fury has stepped up his training amid ongoing talks with Anthony Joshua’s representatives over a dream match in August.
Joshua and Fury’s match, which is expected to take place in Saudi Arabia, has hit a few hurdles.
AJ has been issued with a 48-hour deadline to sort out the fight or face Oleksandr Usyk instead.
The Gypsy King, on the other hand, still has Deontay Wilder waiting for him after the American turned down a step-aside fee as he looks for revenge.

    FURY-OUS CHALLENGE
Tyson Fury has shared a bizarre video of himself, his brother Tommy, his son Prince, trainer SugarHill Steward and NBA legend Shaquille O’Neill calling the Paul brothers out.
To be more exact, Tommy and the rest of the crew are challenging Jake Paul to a fight.
Tyson’s brother, a 5-0 light heavyweight boxer, has been in a war of words with the younger of the Paul brothers and a fight between the two has long been touted.

    JOSHUA RETALIATES
Anthony Joshua had another response during his fiery exchange with Tyson Fury on Twitter.
Fury challenged Joshua to a “bare-knuckle” fight following the WBO’s 48-hour deadline that could see the dream match getting postponed as the latter would have to face Oleksandr Usyk.
Here’s what AJ had to say:

    FURY-OUS EXCHANGE
Tyson Fury has hit back at Anthony Joshua once more claiming he will “smoke” Deontay Wilder first.
This casts doubt over a potential dream match between Fury and Joshua as the former has suggested he will fight Wilder first.
The Bronze Bomber was offered a step-aside fee to let the fight between the two British heavyweights go ahead.
However, the American turned it down as he wants to avenge last year’s loss to Fury
not going in to the details on line!you’ll slap me about will you dosser please come and try Bum, i’m waiting… Femi AKA Bottlejob! 24/7 365. Ready. i’ll smoke wilder first then you will get yours aswell. #GK https://t.co/Led1X54PhS— TYSON FURY (@Tyson_Fury) May 19, 2021

    JOSHUA RETALIATES
Anthony Joshua issued the following response to Tyson Fury’s challenge to a “bare-knuckle fight” as their dream match is dealing with plenty of hurdles.
Joshua posted: “If there was an arbitration going on, why announce to the world we are fighting! The fight was signed! UNDISPUTED.
“Bare knuckle? You’re a good kid, don’t play with me Luke!
“I’ll slap your bald head & you’ll do nothing! Waste man”

    FURY RESPONDS
Tyson Fury has hit back at Anthony Joshua’s recent tweet.
Joshua called Fury a “fraud” and claimed he “let boxing down” as their dream fight is starting to face many hurdles.
The Gypsy King tweeted the following answer: “@anthonyjoshuayour more full of s**t that [sic] Eddie, Spouting absolute s***e!
“Your full team knew there was an Arbitration going on, it was out of my hands! but i tell you what if i’m a fraud let’s fight this weekend bare knuckles till 1 man quits? let’s put up 20 mill each!!!”

    LASHING OUT
Anthony Joshua has taken to Twitter to lash out to Tyyson Fury once more as their dream match is facing plenty of hurdles.
Fury’s rival Deontay Wilder has turned step-aside money down whereas the WBO have given Joshua a 48-hour deadline to sort out his fight with The Gypsy King or he will have to fight Oleksandr Usyk.
AJ tweeted: “@Tyson_Fury the world now sees you for the fraud you are.
    “You’ve let boxing down!
“You lied to the fans and led them on. Used my name for clout not a fight.
“Bring me any championship fighter who can handle their business correctly”

    FUND AND GAMES
Anthony Joshua has jokingly suggested he will set up a GoFundMe page to pay off Deontay Wilder so that he can have his dream match with Tyson Fury next.
Joshua posted on his Snapchat: “I’m thinking about starting a GoFundMe page to raise money for Wilder’s step-aside payment.
“So I can smoke that fat guy with skinny legs from Manchester.
“These heavyweights need a podcast or something, they do more talking than fighting.”
However, Wilder has already turned down a large step-aside fee as he wants revenge from Fury following last year’s loss
    WBO NOTICE
Anthony Joshua has been issued with a 48-hour deadline by the WBO to rectify his dream match with Tyson Fury before he is ordered to face Oleksandr Usyk.
That is according to Sky Sports, who claim Joshua and Fury will have to move fast.
The Gypsy King has also met a hurdle as Deontay Wilder is not willing to take the step-aside money that would allow his rival’s match with AJ to go ahead.
Wilder is looking for revenge after his loss to the British superstar last year
    GETTY IMAGES
    PREDICTION TY-ME
Tyson Fury’s training partner Stephen McKenna insists The Gypsy King is going to beat Deontay Wilder again.
McKena told Mirror Fighting: “Tyson Fury is too smart.
“He’s too good, he has Wilder beat, even looking at what he did with him last fight, he got him out of there fairly quick and I think there’s only one winner there and it’s Fury.
“He’s a great man even in the gym, he always brings a great atmosphere to the gym and he’s a very motivational guy”
    BOMBS AWAY
Deontay Wilder is going to “knock Tyson Fury out cold” in their third fight.
That is according to Floyd Mayweather’s right-hand man Leonard Ellerbe, who claims Fury is set to face a completely different Wilder if and when they face off again.
Ellerbe told IFL TV: “Wilder knocks him out cold this time.
“Sugar Hill made some adjustments, they tweaked something [in Fury’s game]. It was a great adjustment. But Wilder can do some things where the advantages are in his favour.
“But he’s got to do it from the start. You know, he don’t need to sit back. He definitely don’t need to sit back, because Fury’s a tremendous boxer, especially for his size.
“But I fully expect, from what I know and, I’m privy to a lot of things that most people aren’t, and there’s a whole new Deontay Wilder that they ain’t seen. And I fully expect him to implement that when they go”
    NO TAY
Deontay Wilder appears to be on the brink of a third fight with Tyson Fury.
Wilder doesn’t seem keen on taking step-aside money that would allow Fury’s clash with Anthony Joshua to take place first as he is prioritising revenge.
The Gypsy King shared a post online mocking The Bomber and his “excuses” after a defeat.
But the American star has yet to respond to the swipe
    WILD N OUT
Deontay Wilder has ‘NO INTEREST’ in taking step aside money in what would be a huge blow to Tyson Fury’s super-fight with Anthony Joshua.
Wilder’s new trainer Malik Scott shared the news on Instagram, as he all-but confirmed the heavyweight is prioritising revenge over a payday.
Scott, 40, posted: “Wilder declined and had no interest in step-aside money. Y’all dealing with a whole different type motherf***a over here.
“He want the blood, not that step-aside money. ‘Retribution is upon us’.”
    NO JOSHING
Anthony Joshua is keeping silent over the news that Tyson Fury may have to fight Deontay Wilder first.

    TALE OF THE TAPE
WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is on the brink of a third fight with Deontay Wilder.
Here’s how the two fighters compare…

    EDDIE SET GO
Eddie Hearn has warned Tyson Fury must resolve his trilogy issue with Deontay Wilder this week – or else they turn to Oleksandr Usyk.
Hearn said on Matchroom Boxing’s YouTube channel: “I have been focusing on Plan A. The only fight we had our mind on was Tyson Fury.
“We hope that that fight can still take place on August 14th.
“The game changed last night where we have to have a plan B in place, and probably a plan C as well.
“We have a couple of different options; of course, the one that springs to mind immediately is the WBO mandatory of Oleksandr Usyk.
“They have been quite patient and I think really, we are in a situation where if Team Fury don’t get themselves together, get their act together, by the end of this week, we will have no option but to look for an alternative fight.”
    PACKING ON THE PDA
Tyson Fury cosied up to pregnant wife Paris on Instagram yesterday proving they’ve never been stronger as they reunited in Miami.
The boxer, 32, was seen kissing his other half as they dined out after spending the day sunbathing alongside his brother Tommy, 21.

    HIP, HIP, HARRY!
Harry Maguire has handed Manchester United a significant injury boost.
Maguire hurt his ankle against Aston Villa two weeks ago and cast doubt over his fitness ahead of the Europa League Final against Villarreal on May 26.
However, the star defender ditched his crutches when he attended the premiere of Sir Alex Ferguson’s new movie.

    LINGARD UPDATE
Jesse Lingard has been on fire at West Ham ever since his January transfer move to east London from Manchester United.
Latest reports have indicated that United are not planning on keeping Lingard and instead could sell him to raise their transfer kitty or swap him for one of their top targets.
However, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently claimed he would love to have the forward back at Old Trafford.
Solskjaer previously said: “Jesse has been brilliant since he left and I’ve answered this quite a few times. Selfishly we could have kept him because he’s always got a part to play.
“Jesse is a fantastic lad around the place, Man United through and through. Never once did he moan or cause me a problem, he just came in and worked really hard.
“He deserved a chance to play for more football – that’s why we let him go to West Ham because he deserves a chance for what he’s done throughout his life for Man United. Of course we [will] welcome him back”
    LONG JOHN
John Barnes insists Harry Kane is not disloyal to Tottenham but football has changed in a way which makes it impossible for someone to stay at the same club forever.
Barnes told BonusCodeBets: “Nothing in football is surprising.
“Harry Kane is a Tottenham fan and loves the club, but modern-day football players come and go.
“This whole idea of loyalty, you support a club, being a one club man, nobody is like that anymore.
“He is not disloyal at all; it is modern football. If he stayed, that would be surprising. He must decide what he wants to do for himself”
    GETTY IMAGES
    KANE ADVICE
Tottenham star Harry Kane has been advised by Liverpool legend John Barnes to snub a move to Manchester City and opt for Chelsea or Manchester United instead.
“Chelsea also need a striker, and it seems as if Thomas Tuchel doesn’t fancy Tammy Abraham or Timo Werner”
    TIC-KING THE BOXES
Jose Mourinho is interested in buying one of his former Chelsea and Manchester United players as he prepares to take over at Roma.
Mourinho will replaces compatriot Paulo Fonseca at the Olimpico at the end of the season.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Portuguese manager is looking to bring Nemanja Matic with him.
Roma’s hierarchy are keen and could pay €10million (£8.6m) to sign him
    OLE IN
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer refused to rule out further reinforcements in attack despite Edinson Cavani’s contract renewal.
United are among Europe’s biggest hitters keeping tabs on Tottenham star Harry Kane and Borussia Dortmund ace Erling Haaland.
Solskjaer said: “We’re looking to strengthen the squad of course.
“There are many, many, many things you have to consider when you put a squad together.
“I’m not saying that if Eddie [Cavani] stays that means someone else in a forward position won’t come in”
    KANE LEGACY
Jamie Redknapp claims Harry Kane may lose his legendary status at Tottenham if he joins London rivals Chelsea in the summer.
Redknapp told Sky Sports: “He’s a Tottenham legend – maybe not if he goes to Chelsea because that won’t go down well with the fans.
“But I can picture him in that Man City team, getting chance after chance after chance, winning trophies and working with one of the greatest managers ever to work in football.
“I think it would be a good move for him.”
    NOT OVER YET
Jamie Redknapp insists that Kane’s exit from Tottenham is not a “foregone conclusion”.
Redknapp told Sky Sports: “It’s not a foregone conclusion that he’s going to go.
“Daniel Levy is a very difficult man to negotiate with. Whoever wants to buy him will have to pay top dollar.
“It may be a case of a loan swap with some players, that might be a way to entice Levy to come to the table.
“He’s one of the best strikers in world football and they’re a valuable commodity. Levy is going to want £100million plus, and that takes out a lot of teams”
    GETTY IMAGES
    RED ALERT
Jamie Redknapp reckons Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is set for his “biggest summer” as he has yet to find a replacement for ex-manager Jose Mourinho and also needs to figure out what to do with wantaway star Harry Kane.
Redknapp told Sky Sports: “This is the biggest summer of Daniel Levy’s tenure as the chairman.
“They have got no manager, their star player wants to leave – he has to get this right.
“He has some massive decisions to make”
    NOT IN A HARRY
Tottenham star Harry Kane claims he is in no rush to make a decision on his career, although he hinted that anything can happen.
Kane told told Gary Neville’s YouTube show, The Overlap: “I never said I’d stay at Spurs for the rest of my career and I’ve never said I’d leave Spurs.
“People might say, ‘he’s desperate for trophies, he needs trophies’, but I feel like I’ve still got almost another career to play.
“I’ve got seven, eight years, kind of what I’ve already had in the Premier League. So I’m not rushing anything, I’m not desperate to do anything”
    CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FOOTBALL
Tottenham star Harry Kane reiterated his wish to play Champions League football during an interview with Gary Neville.
Kane has reportedly informed Spurs of his intention to leave the club at the end of the season as the north Londoners failed to qualify for Europe’s elite competition for the second year in a row.
The England captain told Neville’s YouTube show, The Overlap: “I want to be playing in the biggest games. This season, I’m watching the Champions League and the English teams doing amazing, and they’re the games I want to be involved in.
“It’s a moment in my career where I have to reflect and see where I’m at. Ultimately it’s going to be down to me, how I feel and what’s going to be the best for me and my career”
    AL BE WAITING
Raul Albiol cannot wait for his personal duel with Edinson Cavani in the Europa League final.
The Villarreal defender stated his lack of surprise in seeing Cavani succeed at Manchester United.
He told reporters: “We all know the great player that Cavani is. It is not strange that he is in such good shape and continues to score.
“It was strange to me that he spent a long time without a team after ending his contract with PSG.
“The truth is that in Manchester he found a place where football is life, and he is Uruguayan and has football in his blood.
“If Cavani does not play, there will be another striker. In the final we will face excellent strikers. We will all have to do our best.”
    HOMECOMING
The return of fans to Old Trafford meant 1968 European Cup winner Paddy Crerand was finally able to get back to his favourite pastime.
The Scot told United’s website: “I’ve been involved in football all my life, supporting Celtic and Manchester United, so it’s great to go back.
“The camaraderie, that’s what you miss. You miss all the people you’ve lived with more or less every day of your life.
“Being an ex-player, you meet fans from all different countries in the world. They’ll always come and have a chat with you.
“You miss that conversation and all that stuff that goes on at a football match. Not just for me, but every football fan in the country.”

    DIO-GOING HOME
Diogo Dalot is set to return to Manchester United after his AC Milan loan spell.
The Serie A side are claimed by Sky Sport Italia to be against paying his £17million transfer fee for a permanent move.
Although Roma and Napoli may step in to pick up the full-back if there is no place for him in Manchester.
    TRANSFER KOU
Sevilla are hoping to profit off a strong Euro 2020 for Jules Kounde.
Manchester United are one side linked with the Frenchman, in their hunt for a new centre-back.
But La Colina de Nervion reveal the club’s plans to spark a bidding war and increase their £56million price tag if he stars for Didier Deschamps’ side.

    YOU MAG-ESTY
Let’s take a look at the stats for how Manchester United typically get along without Harry Maguire.
    It’s not pretty…

    CITY SLICKERS
Manchester City are front of the queue for Harry Kane, according to The Guardian.
Rivals Manchester United are said to be less interested in a deal following Edinson Cavani’s new contract.
And Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is noted as especially keen not to sell to London neighbours Chelsea.
Pep Guardiola’s champions have reportedly already been in touch with Kane’s camp and the striker is keen on the move.
    LEV-ERAGE
Manchester United target Harry Kane is preparing to have an ‘open and honest’ conversation with Daniel Levy over his future.
The striker has admitted he thinks the club’s chairman could be tempted to cash in when they finally have their discussion.
He told Sky Sports’ Gary Neville: “He’s been great with me, always rewarded me with contracts, he’s been fair.
“I’m not sure how the conversation will go to be honest.
“He might want to sell me. He might think, ‘If I can get £100million for you then, why not?’ I might not be worth that in the next two or three years.
“I hope we have a good enough relationship, I’ve been there 16 years of my life so I hope we can have a good honest conversation and see where we’re at.”
    KANE ON SPURS EXIT
Harry Kane has opened up on his desire to leave Tottenham.
In a chat with Gary Neville for SkyBet, the striker insisted that the potential transfer would ensure he has ‘no regrets’ in football.
He stated: “I don’t want to have come to the end of my career and have any regrets. So, I want to be the best that I can be.
“I’ve said before, I’d never say that I’d stay at Spurs for the rest of my career. I’d never said that I would leave Spurs.
“I still feel like I’ve still got almost another career to play. I’ve got another seven or eight years.
“I’m not rushing anything. I’m not desperate to do anything. I feel like for sure I’ve got so much more to give. I feel like I can be even better than what I’ve been.”

    SIDE BY SIDE
Old Trafford finally welcomed fans back this week.
And screamers just aren’t the same without the accompanied ‘scenes’…

    PEDAL TO THE METAL
Manchester United’s slump in form is risking their Europa League final bid.
Trevor Sinclair has told talkSPORT that defeats to Leicester and Liverpool, plus the draw to Fulham, are linked to Harry Maguire’s absence.
He said: “You look at the form since Maguire came out of the squad with injury, they’ve really struggled.
“Leicester was a 2-1 loss and it was a real shame that they put a weakened team out, but there was a combination of De Gea, Lindelof and Tuanzebe at the back.
“I don’t know whether Ole knows his best three with mature out the team. They keep on conceding and their home form has been a big issue anyway.
“Going into that game against Villarreal, they need to know what their best side is otherwise they’ll have problems.”
