    RON HIS WAY
Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly likely to leave Juventus this summer.
Corriere dello Sport claims the Portuguese legend is ready to quit Turin following the return of Max Allegri.
Manchester United and PSG are both said to be interested.
But Juve’s asking price, and his mammoth wage demands, could prevent either from making a bid.

    BRAZIL-IANT
Brazil have been confirmed as the new hosts of next month’s Copa America.
The Samba stars hosted the last tournament in 2019 before winning the trophy with a 3-1 final win over Peru.
And with original co-hosts Colombia and Argentina dropping out due to coronavirus concerns, Brazil will once again take up the mantle.

    DONE DEAL
Sergio Aguero has completed his stunning free transfer to Barcelona.
The Argentine striker left Man City after Saturday’s heartbreaking Champions League final defeat to Chelsea.
And Aguero has now penned a contract with Barca, where he will be reunited with international teammate Lionel Messi.

    RAM RACE
Manchester City want to sign Man United target Sergio Ramos, according to reports.
And Pep Guardiola’s side are willing to offer the Spaniard a two-year deal.
The defender’s contract is set to expire on June 30, and he is set to meet with Madrid chiefs once again in the next few days to try and trash out an agreement.
But City could steal a march on the LaLiga giants, according to ESPN.
They claim that City could offer Ramos a two-year deal with an option for a third that, depending on performances, could mean a move to New York City FC.

    ALL ZID AND DONE
Zinedine Zidane has revealed that he left Real Madrid because of a ‘lack of trust’.
The Frenchman told Diario AS: “I’m leaving, but I’m not abandoning ship and I’m not tired of coaching.
“In May 2018 I left because after two-and-a-half years, with so many victories and so many trophies, I felt that the team needed something new to stay on top. Today things are different.
“I’m leaving because I feel the club is no longer giving me the trust I need, it isn’t offering me the support to build something medium-to-long-term.
“I know the demands at a club like Madrid, I know that when you don’t win you have to go. But a very important thing has been forgotten here.
“I’m a born winner and I was here to win trophies, but beyond that are human beings, emotions, life, and I have the feeling that these things haven’t been valued.”

    THAT’S SAUL SHE WROTE
Manchester United target Saul Niguez is ‘determined’ to leave Atletico Madrid this summer, according to reports.
But Juventus currently lead the race for the Spaniard’s signature, AS claim.
The report claims that Saul wants to take ‘another direction in his career’.
Atletico ace Saul, 26, is expected to demand around £115,000-a-week.

    HAZARD ALERT
Eden Hazard would reportedly be keen on a stunning Chelsea return after the seismic events of the last week.
The Belgian playmaker, 30, is keen on a return to Stamford Bridge and home of the new Champions League winners, reports say.
AS in Spain claim that Real Madrid could cut their losses on Hazard after two poor years at the Bernabeu.
And should they offload the forward it would free up funds to rebuild their squad.
The report adds that they’d hope to recoup around £85million of the £140m they paid two years ago.

    NO MURR FOOTY
Glenn Murray has retired from playing football after a lengthy career that took in all levels of the English pyramid.
Murray played for Watford and Nottingham Forest this season but wants to hang up his boots while still playing at a good level.
A statement via Brighton & Hove Albion read: “I feel as though the time is right and I wanted to retire at a good level.
“I’ve had a lot of good years in the game, but this seems the right time to call it a day.
“I am getting off the football merry-go-round, the structure of being told what to do for 20 years. I am looking forward to making some of my own decisions I suppose.”

    LIONS IN WAIT
Manchester City are plotting a sensational double swoop on England’s superstar pairing Harry Kane and Jack Grealish, according to reports.
Boss Pep Guardiola is ready to open the cheque book after missing a golden opportunity to end the club’s wait for a Champions League trophy.
SunSport exclusively revealed earlier in May how City are ready to splurge £100million on Aston Villa’s Grealish.
But a new striker remains top of his priority list with club legend Sergio Aguero playing his last game for the club.
Tottenham captain Harry Kane is the man that City want to fill his boots.
Kane has made it no secret of his desire to leave Spurs this summer in search of silverware.
Rivals Man United are also interested in both players but the Athletic write how they would rather sign for the blue half of Manchester.

    BETTER CALL SAUL
Manchester United have been handed a major boost in the race to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez, according to reports.
The Spaniard will push for a move to the Red Devils with Atletico willing to cash in for £40million.
Niguez, 26, has been a long-term target of United having attempted to sign him a year ago.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hasn’t lost interest in the midfielder and is preparing to make his move with a fresh offer.
His availability is expected to attract interest from both Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.
But the Mirror write how Niguez would prioritise a move to Old Trafford above their European rivals.
Manchester United are preparing a £40m move for Saul Niguez
    RUD CHALLENGE
Belgium boss Roberto Martinez was left raging at ‘reckless’ Antonio Rudiger after his challenge in the Champions League final which has left Kevin De Bruyne a doubt for Euro 2020.
The German defender blocked off the Manchester City playmaker’s run during the second half of Chelsea’s European triumph in Porto on Saturday night.
Martinez, who is now less than two weeks out from Belgium’s first group game against Russia, believes Rudiger should have been punished harsher than the yellow card he received.
“For me, Rudiger is very, very fortunate,” he said. “When you look at the replay, there’s no clash of heads.
“He’s properly leaving the shoulder against Kevin. He seems concussed and we will see the state of that.
“But that leaves a sour taste, because Rudiger’s holding his head, it’s almost that he wants to show that he’s hiding something.
“For me, it was excessive force and it was reckless. And it should have been a red card.
“Kevin is not a player that goes down for no reason. You can see the pain and it’s a swollen eye.”
Hi guys just got back from the hospital. My diagnosis is Acute nose bone fracture and left orbital fracture. I feel okay now. Still disappointed about yesterday obviously but we will be back— Kevin De Bruyne (@DeBruyneKev) May 30, 2021

    GET IT JA-DON
Manchester United have ‘mostly agreed’ personal terms with Jadon Sancho, according to reports.
And the player’s representatives are ‘expecting’ a £77million transfer to get over the line this summer.
United tried to sign Sancho last year but were put off by Borussia Dortmund’s £108m asking price.
Now Sport1 in Germany reckon the Bundesliga side have dropped their demands and an accepted bid will open the door for negotiations to be completed.
But after the discussions that took place in 2020, it should not take too long to seal an agreement between United and Sancho.
The report does add, though, that a formal transfer bid is yet to be lodged by the Old Trafford club.
It is thought United are prioritising winger Sancho over strikers Erling Haaland or Harry Kane this year.
Jadon Sancho’s transfer to Manchester United could be completed while he is on international duty with England
    THAT’S A CUT
Wrexham boss Dean Keates has been sacked by the club’s famous owners after a poor campaign.
Hollywood superstars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney acted quickly after the club missed out on the play-offs.
The club finished eighth in the National League after Saturday’s draw at Dagenham and Redbridge.
And now their leadership has parted ways with Keates, assistant manager Andy Davies and first-team coach Carl Darlington.
Keates, 42, was in his second spell as Wrexham manager having also played for them for five years.
A club statement read: “Following the disappointment of falling just short of the National League play-offs, the Board have acted quickly to address the managerial position at the Club.”
Co-Chairmen Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds added: “We would like to thank Dean, Andy and Carl for all their efforts on behalf of the Club, in what at times were challenging circumstances.
“We are committed to returning the Club to the EFL at the earliest opportunity and feel that a change of manager will provide us with the best chance of achieving that objective.
“Dean, Andy and Carl will always be welcome at the Club.”

    SOL SEARCHING
Donny van de Beek is ‘set for talks’ with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after a disappointing first season in England.
The Dutchman arrived at Manchester United from Ajax for £40million last summer, but made just four starts in the Premier League.
Van de Beek, 24, didn’t feature at all in last week’s Europa League final defeat to Villarreal in Gdansk.
And according to The Telegraph, the midfielder will talk to Solskjaer to ‘see where he stands’ within the squad ahead of the summer transfer window.

    CALLING DYBS
Paulo Dybala is reportedly set to sign a new contract at Juventus, in a transfer blow for Manchester United.
The Argentine’s current deal has just one year remaining, which has sparked plenty of interest.
But following the return of Massimiliano Allegri to the Turin club, Dybala’s Juve career is set for a new lease of life.
Extension talks between the club and Dybala, 27, are said to have broken down earlier this year.
Since being re-appointed on Friday, however, Allegri has chatted with the attacking midfielder over his role in the team.
According to Goal, the Italian is keen to tie the playmaker down to a new deal.
And talks are set to recommence later this week.

    HOST MORTEM
Euro 2020’s rival tournament, the Copa America, is without a host country, less than TWO WEEKS before kicking off.
Colombia and Argentina were supposed to co-host the tournament, which is set to begin on June 13.
But both have been removed due to ongoing issues.
Colombia were taken out of the running on May 20, because of protests against president Ivan Duque.
And Argentina followed suit over the weekend, because of a surge in Covid-19 cases.

    LUK-ING BACK
Chelsea are lining up a sensational transfer for Romelu Lukaku, according to reports.
But they would need to stump up a British-record £100million to convince Inter Milan to sell.
The Blues sold the Belgian to Everton in 2014 for £28m before he joined Manchester United three years later then headed to Italy in 2019.
Since arriving at the San Siro, Lukaku has banged in 64 goals in 95 appearances and fired the club to their first Serie A title in 11 years.
However, Thomas Tuchel is desperate to bolster his squad this summer to mount a serious Premier League challenge.
And one area he wants improvement is up front – especially with Timo Werner misfiring in his first season leading the line, Tammy Abraham unfavoured and Olivier Giroud turning 35 in September.
In fact, in 30 games in charge, Tuchel’s Chelsea have scored more than two goals in a game just once – a 4-1 win at Crystal Palace in April.
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea have identified Lukaku as a more plausible transfer option ahead of Harry Kane and Erling Haaland.

    GOOD MORNING FOOTBALL FANS
Thomas Tuchel says a new two-year deal will be just part of a ‘fantastic beginning’ at Chelsea.
The Blues’ head coach held talks with Roman Abramovich hours after leaving celebrations to mark winning the Champions League.
Tuchel said: “If we really want to build something I’m all in, I can tell you. And I’m happy to talk about it and discuss it. If our beliefs match, we go from there.
“We have to check with the owner if this is his plan, I think it’s possible.
“I think I have a clause that makes my contract a bit longer if I win the League or the Champions League.
“I’m not 100 per cent sure but my manager said it weeks ago, I didn’t check. I said, ‘Let’s talk when it’s the case’.
“Even if we have a longer contract, there are no doubts I want to stay and it’s not the most important thing.
“I’m very happy to be here, it’s a fantastic beginning and we go now for the next one.”
Meanwhile, Tottenham could be tempted to part ways with Harry Kane if Manchester City offer Gabriel Jesus plus cash, according to reports.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will try and get the best deal possible for Kane should any team try and buy him this summer.
But according to the Daily Star, Spurs have an interest in Brazilian striker Jesus – opening up the possibility of a cash-plus-swap deal for Kane.
Jesus is valued at £70million and if City chuck in a similar amount as well, Tottenham could be tempted to sell.
And finally, Pep Guardiola admits he is ready for a break as he heads back to see his family in Barcelona this week.
It has been a lengthy and demanding season for his Manchester City side -chasing the Quadruple for so long meant he has not seen some of his nearest and dearest since November.
After an outstanding campaign ended on a disappointing note in Portugal, he said: “I want to go home and be with my family.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve seen them.
“After that I’ll come back to the club. It’s going to be the best club in the world for the next few years.
“I want to congratulate my players on an exceptional season and on the game they played on Saturday.”

    SILVA SPOON
Exclusive by David Woods: Chelsea will offer Thiago Silva a new-one year deal after the 36-year-old’s superb first season at the club.
Silva signed on a free last summer and made 34 appearances, including seven in a hectic May.
In 18 of the games where Silva started, the Blues kept a clean sheet.
Despite turning 37 in September this year, the Brazil centre-back has impressed Stamford Bridge boss Thomas Tuchel and will be rewarded with a new contract.

    TUCH AND GO
Thomas Tuchel saluted the grit of Emma Hayes’ Chelsea side following their double triumph this season.
The Blues boss, whose team beat Man City to claim their second Champions League crown, hailed the WSL giants’ success in England and Europe.
Tuchel, 47, said: “There’s no doubt about it that they are a strong group of women with a strong group of players and a strong leader.
“And they can be very proud and we are very proud they got all of these titles.”

    POT LUCK
Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain all find themselves in Pot 2 in next season’s Champions League.
All of the clubs missed on top seeding following disastrous league campaign’s which saw them miss out on being handed a favourable group draw.
Pot 1 is made of eight teams which includes the winners of the top six ranked domestic leagues as well as the two champions from this term’s European competitions.
England’s Manchester City, France’s Lille, Germany’s Bayern Munich, Italy’s Inter Milan, Spain’s Atletico Madrid and Portugal’s Sporting Lisbon are in Pot 1.
    KAN DO
N’Golo Kante has become one of SIX players to win the Champions League, Premier League and World Cup.
The French midfielder played brilliantly in the Blues’ 1-0 win against Manchester City last night to join the exclusive club.
Since the old First Division and European Cup were both re-branded into the Premier League and Champions League in 1992, only half-a-dozen players have won both competitions and the World Cup.
Kante joined Fabien Barthez, Thierry Henry, Juliano Belletti, Gerard Pique and Pedro in that club with his man-of-the-match performance against Pep Guardiola’s side.
Other players had achieved the feat before 1992, most notably Manchester United legends Bobby Charlton and Nobby Stiles – part of the England team that won the World Cup in 1966.

    DEVIL DELIGHT
Manchester United’s Europa League final defeat to Villarreal could see them be handed a favourable Champions League group next season.
The Red Devils lost on penalties in last week’s final in Gdansk as the Spanish side won the first major honour in their history.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad found themselves in Europe’s second-tier competition after failing to get out of their Champions League group.
And United’s attempt to reach the knockout stages of next year’s European Cup have been boosted after missing out on Pot 1.
Of the eight teams in Pot 1, the winners of the top six ranked domestic leagues are included, as well as the two champions from this term’s European competitions.
England’s Manchester City, France’s Lille, Germany’s Bayern Munich, Italy’s Inter Milan, Spain’s Atletico Madrid and Portugal’s Sporting Lisbon are in Pot 1.
    SPECIAL GRAN
Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has admitted he is flattered by interest from Jose Mourinho over a potential move.
Mourinho is the new Roma boss and is reportedly interesting in bringing Xhaka to Italy.
Xhaka told Blick: Of course I read [about the interest]. But now I’m 100 per cent focused on the national team here.
“That’s more important than Arsenal or rumours right now. I have another two years on my contract in London and Arsenal they know what they have in me. When the time comes to talk about a transfer, I’ll be here.”
The Switzerland midfielder added: “To be honest, I didn’t hear what Mourinho has said about me. But that makes you proud.
“Everyone knows Mourinho, knows what he has achieved. Mourinho knows how to win titles.
“You can now see what work I have done over the past few years.”

UEFA are planning to make a ‘robust’ defence after the European Super League attempted to wage war on them.
Remaining members Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus claim Uefa have violated European Union competition law by seeking to block the ESL, and are now suing.
But a Uefa statement read: “Uefa takes note of the announcement by the European Court of Justice of the referral from a Madrid court on the so-called European Super League, notwithstanding the withdrawal of nine of its founding member clubs.
“Uefa is confident in its position and will defend it robustly.”

    PAUL THE OTHER ONE
Man United have been dealt a transfer blow with long-term target Paulo Dybala set for a new Juventus contract.
Goal claims the Red Devils have been tracking the Argentina playmaker for some time.
Dybala lost his place in Juve’s side under Andrea Pirlo, despite being regarded as one of the best in his position.
But returning boss Max Allegri is a huge fan and wants to make Dybala a key figure in his team.
Talks are now set to begin on a long-term deal, with Dybala eager to stay in Turin.

“It will depend on a lot of factors, such as if the club needs to sell any players or not.
“I have nothing to say about my future, I have been at Atleti seven years and I have two years left on my contract.

    DAL’S BACK
Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot is unsure over his future at the club.
The 22-year-old had a successful loan spell at Italian giants AC Milan, helping them finish second in the Serie A.
Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Dalot said: “I like to become more and more complete.
“The Italians love football, they always talk about it and being part of this culture has been a fantastic experience. And on the pitch, I feel I have improved a lot tactically.
“There are some defensive aspects I learned here and it was fantastic to develop these qualities too.
“That’s not the only thing either, as I improved in pressing high and recovering the ball as soon as possible.
“Very useful stuff. I say that I had a fantastic year and met beautiful people.
“It was a real pleasure to play for Milan but now I think about the Euros and I really don’t know (on his future) what will happen.”

Keown told talkSPORT: “They’ve had a succession of managers at the club but have not really been trusted and had a working relationship [with the club] and I do feel that with Ole.
“I do feel, when you look at it, he’s lucky to still be there really.
“He knows the standards that are being set and he can’t keep suffering disappointments, semi-final after semi-final, getting to finals.
“I do think he’s fortunate but this is the current-day Manchester United.”
However, United’s Europa League final defeat to Villarreal could see them be handed a favourable Champions League group next season.
The Red Devils lost on penalties in last week’s final in Gdansk as the Spanish side won the first major honour in their history.
Solskjaer’s squad found themselves in Europe’s second-tier competition after failing to get out of their Champions League group.
And finally, Harry Maguire seems confident of featuring in England’s Euro 2020 kick-off match against Croatia on June 13.
The Manchester United star suffered an ankle injury against Aston Villa and has since been in a race against time to be fit for the summer’s Euros.
According to the Daily Mail, however, the centre-back’s progress is looking good and there is confidence that he will be fit in just two weeks.
The Red Devils are reportedly set to meet Maguire on Monday for a fresh check-up, with the results once again beamed to Gareth Southgate’s physios.
    JUAN AND ONLY
Manchester United will struggle to replace Juan Mata’s influence in the dressing room next season.

    SAINTLY MOVE
Chris Sutton claims Southampton star Danny Ings may go to either Manchester United or Manchester City in the summer as a cheaper striking option.
Sutton told BBC Radio 5Live: “There’s talk about Danny Ings leaving.
“He could end up at Manchester City or Manchester United.
“There are all sorts of rumours flooding around the Norfolk area, but that’s what I have heard.
“And how could they [Southampton] possibly replace him?”
    SAUL SEARCHING
Atletico Madrid star Saul Niguez is pushing for a move away from the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
That is according to the Daily Mirror, who claim that Saul is ready to bid farewell to Atletico.
The midfielder has been linked with a move to Manchester United.
However, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are also keeping tabs on the 26-year-old.
    NOT SO S-MART
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is “lucky” to still be the club’s head coach, according to Arsenal hero Martin Keown.
“I do think he’s fortunate but this is the current day Manchester United.”
    BRU BEAUTY
No surprise to see this man topping the list for assists this season.

    MORE FROM ROONEY
Rooney also reckons it’s crucial for the Three Lions’ hopes this summer that Manchester United centre-back Harry Maguire and Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson recover from injuries.
He said: “England have a good chance and will be very hard for any team to beat if they reach the last four, with the semi-finals and final at Wembley.
“But to succeed I think Harry Maguire and Jordan Henderson have to be fit.
‘Those two plus Harry Kane are the spine of England’s team. Gareth needs them on the pitch.
“Those players being there allows Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Mason Mount and Marcus Rashford to go and express themselves, and every side has those leaders, those rocks, whom the rest depend on in a crisis.
“If the going gets tough in a game, Jordan and the two Harrys are the ones all the other players will look to.”
    OVER TO ROO
Wayne Rooney ‘would have tried absolutely everything’ to persuade Jamie Vardy to play at Euro 2020 – as he rates him an ideal strike-partner for England skipper Harry Kane.
Vardy, 34, retired from international football in 2018 but is still in hot form for Leicester.
Derby boss Rooney, 35, wrote in his Sunday Times column: “One man I wish was in Gareth’s squad is Jamie Vardy.
“I would have tried absolutely everything to lure him out of retirement for these finals.
“I know some people may be surprised at this, especially with the legal case between my wife and Jamie’s wife, but this is my honest football opinion.
“He may be 34, but Jamie is still a brilliant player, who was involved in 24 goals in the Premier League this season and would have been a great asset – not only as an impact sub but as a potential starter.
“Look at how Kane has been playing for Tottenham Hotspur, dropping deeper and playing through balls – Jamie could have been running on to them.”

    ASTON MARTINS
Aston Villa trio Jack Grealish, Ollie Watkins and Tyrone Mings are nailed on to make England’s Euro 2020 squad.
And the stars can have a huge impact if Gareth Southgate involves them from the get-go.
Former Villa man Stephen Warnock told the Star: “You look at Grealish and for me he’s a shoo in, he has to go.
“What we saw with Grealish is when he played for England, the standard didn’t drop. In fact, playing with better individuals took his game to another level.
“I think Mings will also be selected because of a potential injury to Maguire and how he gives Southgate that option to go three at the back.
“Watkins is a player who deserves to be there given his goal return and the way he’s taken to the Premier League.”

    BRAZIL-IANT
    Hold that thought…
Brazil have JUST been confirmed as the new hosts of next month’s Copa America.
The Samba stars hosted the last tournament in 2019 before winning the trophy with a 3-1 final win over Peru.
And with original co-hosts Colombia and Argentina dropping out due to coronavirus concerns, Brazil will once again take up the mantle.

    CAN’T COPA
Copa America chiefs are frantically searching for a new host after Argentina pulled the plug due to coronavirus concerns.
Colombia had previously been set to co-host before also dropping out due to the Covid pandemic.
And after a surge in cases, Argentina have now pulled out as well.
There is now less than TWO weeks until the tournament is supposed to start.
And it remains to be seen if a new host venue can be found in time.

    EUR ON
With the Euros just around the corner, why not get acquainted with all the various host cities?
England’s group games are all taking place at Wembley, while Wales will have to travel all the way out to Baku!

    ‘GOING TO BE DIFFICULT’
Wales star Gareth Bale has opened up on his side’s chances of replicating their famous semi-finals run of 2016 this time around.
He said: “‘We’d love to replicate it but we’re realistic.
“We know it’s a different tournament playing different teams and we also have a very different team to what we did have.
“It’s going to be difficult going in against all these top nations.
“But we’re confident in our own ability what we can do on the pitch, and we’ll be doing everything to make it as much of a success as we can.”

    SCOT TO BE DONE
Croatia have ditched plans to stay in Scotland during the Euros.
The 2018 World Cup finalists were planning to stay at St Andrew’s for the tournament.
But, upon recommendation by Uefa, they have elected to stay in Croatia instead, because of Scottish Covid-19 regulations.
A statement read: “The federation received a recommendation from UEFA to change the location of its team base camp, due to the potential impact of the Scottish Covid-19 regulations on the national team’s daily routines.”

    ‘BREATH OF FRESH AIR’
Wales manager Robert Page has admitted that 19-year-old Rubin Colwill ‘blew him away’ in training.
The Cardiff youngster, who has played just 191 minutes of senior club football, who surprisingly included in Page’s 26-man Euro 2020 squad yesterday.
Of the selection, Page revealed: “He’s been a breath of fresh air since he’s come in.
“He just blew us all away with how he was and how he conducted himself. He’s a top professional already and a great lad to have around the place.
“He’s really impressed me, he’s got a presence and maybe something we’ve not got in the middle of the park.
“He can play off the right, he can play as a 10, he can play in midfield – and that’s a bonus as well when you’re looking to pick a squad.”

    LOCKED IN
Wales star James Lawrence has withdrawn from Robert Page’s 26-man Euro 2020 squad.
The St Pauli defender, 28, has won nine caps and was due to play in the finals this summer.
Now ruled out due to a so far undisclosed injury, Lawrence has now been removed from contention, and replaced by Luton Town ace Tom Lockyer.

    PAYING THE BILL
Scotland star Billy Gilmour could win his first cap this week… after lifting the Champions League last weekend.
The midfielder burst onto the scene in 2020, producing classy, mature performances for Chelsea under Frank Lampard and then Thomas Tuchel.
Having lifted the famous cup at the weekend, Gilmour is set to join up with Steve Clarke’s squad for the first time this week.

    FEEL THE BERND
Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno is gearing up for Euro 2020.
The German has been called up by his country for the finals, and is staying ready in training.
Manuel Neuer will be first choice for the tournament.
But with Marc-Andre ter Stegen missing through injury, Leno could be next in line.

    SAK TO BUSINESS
Arsenal star Bukayo Saka is doing his best to impress Gareth Southgate, ahead of the England boss’ trimming of his squad tomorrow.
The Gunners teenager impressed this season, but is in danger of missing out on the Three Lions 26-man squad for Euro 2020.

    RIGHT DON TIME
Holland star Donny van de Beek will try and impress Manchester United chiefs at the Euros this summer.
The Dutchman arrived at Old Trafford from Ajax for £40million last summer, but was limited to only four starts in the Premier League.
Having drawn Ukraine, North Macedonia and Austria in the group stage, Van de Beek’s Netherlands have a great chance of progressing to the knockout stages.
And according to The Telegraph, the midfielder will talk to Solskjaer to ‘see where he stands’ within the squad ahead of the summer transfer window.

    TOP THIER
Belgium have announced that Thierry Henry has returned to their coaching staff for Euro 2020.
The Frenchman was previously part of Roberto Martinez’s coaching team, before taking top jobs at AS Monaco and then CF Montreal.
Having found himself a free agent, Henry elected to return to work for the Spaniard this summer.
And with Martinez linked with a return to club football after the tournament, Henry may have his eye on the top job.

    HOST MORTEN
Euro 2020’s rival tournament, the Copa America, is without a host country, less than TWO WEEKS before kicking off.
Colombia and Argentina were supposed to co-host the tournament, which is set to begin on June 13.
But both have been removed due to ongoing issues.
Colombia were taken out of the running on May 20, because of protests against president Ivan Duque.
And Argentina followed suit over the weekend, because of a surge in Covid-19 cases.
The Copa was originally supposed to take place in Argentina and Colombia last year
    GOOD MORNING EURO FANS
Manchester City star man Kevin De Bruyne may have to miss Belgium’s first Euro 2020 matches in the group stage.
De Bruyne was forced off the Champions League Final after a rough collision with Chelsea ace Antonio Rudiger on 60 minutes.
The playmaker was diagnosed with acute nose bone fracture and left orbital fracture.
According to ESPN, the 29-year-old will need three weeks to heal, which means he may not have any part in the group stage against Denmark, Finland and Russia.
However, there is no way De Bruyne is going to miss the whole tournament as long as Belgium make it out of the group stage.
Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney ‘would have tried absolutely everything’ to persuade Jamie Vardy to play at Euro 2020 – as he rates him an ideal strike-partner for England skipper Harry Kane.
    WILL I NEVER
Ruben Colwill is the shock name in Wales’ Euro 2020 squad – after just SIX first-team games for Cardiff.
But Dragons boss Rob Page, who has replaced Ryan Giggs for the finals, has included rookie Colwill, 19, alongside captain Gareth Bale and star names Aaron Ramsey and Dan James.
Uncapped midfielder Colwill’s inclusion will evoke memories of Theo Walcott, who was a bolter for England’s 2006 World Cup squad under Sven Goran Eriksson.
Colwill only made his first league start for Mick McCarthy’s Cardiff on April 24 in a 2-1 Championship win over Wycombe.
He started the season playing for Cardiff Under-23s in a 5-1 defeat to Welsh rivals Swansea last September.
In total, Colwill has played 191 minutes of senior football since his Bluebirds debut against Coventry in February.
He got the nod over the likes of Schalke winger Rabbi Matondo and Tom Lawrence of Derby, who has suffered Euro heartbreak for a second time after an ankle injury ruled him out in 2016.

    CZECHED OUT
The Czech Republic have vacated Scotland’s Oriam base camp as their preparations for Euro 2020 have been disrupted by Covid regulations.
They were due to train in Edinburgh but will instead base themselves in Prague, and travel to and from the UK for each of their Group D matches.
Scotland’s opponents had planned to stay and train at Oriam for the Euros, and had booked the facility – which is Scotland’s regular base – before they qualified for the tournament.
That forced Steve Clarke’s team to change their plans and they arranged to stay and train in Middlesbrough, roughly equidistant from Hampden and Wembley where Scotland will play their group games.
A statement read: “The Czech national team will spend the whole UEFA Euro 2020 tournament in Prague instead of the basecamp in Edinburgh as it was planned originally.”
And Kante has the chance to add the Euros to his haul this summer.

    HEROES NOT VILLIANS
Former Aston Villa ace Stephen Warnock believes Jack Grealish, Tyrone Mings and Ollie Watkins are going to play a crucial role for England in Euro 2020.
Warnock told the Daily Star: “You look at Grealish and for me he’s a shoo in, he has to go.

    FINANCIAL SITUATION
Financial analyst Kieran Maguire confirms Arsenal have money to spend on players this summer.
Arsenal borrowed from Barclays Bank to cover for the Covid Corporate Financing Facility loan they got last year, which covered losses brought about by the coronavirus pandemic.
Maguire says there were restrictions on what they could use the CCFF for, but the new loan doesn’t have one, which means they have as much as £120million to spend on player recruitments ahead of the summer transfer window.
The north Londoners are reportedly keeping tabs on the likes of Yves Bissouma, Emi Bundia, Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez.
Manager Mikel Arteta is also determined to sign Martin Odegaard on a permanent deal
    TOP D-OD
Martin Odegaard poses as Arsenal’s “No1” target ahead of the summer transfer window.
That is according to The Athletic, who report that the Gunners’ top priority is to sign Odegaard on a permanent basis.
The attacking midfielder joined the north Londoners from Real Madrid on loan last January.
The Norway international put together a number of impressive performances and has since impressed manager Mikel Arteta to a point that he convinced him to hold on to him
    GETTY IMAGES
    Mc IT HAPPEN
Burnley ace Dwight McNeil could help Arsenal sign Norwich star Emi Buendia in the summer.
Buendia is among the Gunners’ top targets but are facing competition from Aston Villa.
According to The Athletic, however, Villa are also keeping tabs on McNeil ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
Nevertheless, the Burnley winger, who is of “‘serious interest” for Dean Smith’s side, poses as a plan B to Buendia
    EM-PHATIC OPPOSITION
Arsenal are facing some stiff competition in their bid to land Norwich star Emi Buendia in the summer.
According to the Daily Mail, Aston Villa are also keeping tabs on Buendia, who played a key role in the Canaries’ return to the Premier League.
The same source states that Villa have the financial might to outbid the Gunners for the talented playmaker.
As it stands, Villa and Arsenal are the two most prominent suitors for the Argentina international
    TRUE ART-IST
Manchester City ace Raheem Sterling has previously praised Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners are reportedly interested in forking out a deal with Sterling ahead of the summer transfer window following rumours suggesting he will be offloaded by City.
The England international previously worked with Arteta when the Spaniard was Pep Guardiola’s assistant manager.
Sterling previously said: “[Arteta is] a person that had a lot of say here [at City]. The manager trusted him here and he had a lot of influence on the players here and the team as well.
“So I knew once he went into Arsenal that it would be a great opportunity for him but also he would definitely implement what he wanted to bring in.
“And he’s a person that will put his foot down and not let things slide as you can see with the boys at Arsenal. They know if they don’t run they are most likely not going to play”
    STERLING/MAHREZ SALE EXPLAINED
Manchester City appear ready to sell Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez ahead of the summer transfer window.
Sterling and Mahrez failed to shine in the Champions League Final, which saw Chelsea being crowned two-time European champions.
Arsenal as well as Real Madrid and Barcelona are monitoring the situation.
According to Metro, City boss Pep Guardiola is pulling out all the stops to fund potential moves for the likes of Tottenham star Harry Kane, Borussia Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland and Aston Villa ace Jack Grealish.
Gabriel Jesus and Aymeric Laporte could also be sold in the next couple of months
    STERLING JOB
Raheem Sterling has been put up for sale by Man City, according to the Daily Mail.
The England winger failed to make an impact in the Champions League final last night and is said to be seen as expendable as Pep Guardiola plots an overhaul.
Arsenal have been interested in Sterling in the past and Mikel Arteta could play a key role in bringing the former Liverpool man to the Emirates, having worked with him at City.
However, there remain doubts about whether the North Londoners have the funds to pull off the deal after finishing eighth.
Real Madrid and Barcelona may also be tempted to enter the bidding at the right price, the report suggests.

    GOOD MORNING ARSENAL FANS
Financial analyst Kieran Maguire says Arsenal have money to spend on players this summer.
Arsenal borrowed some money from Barclays Bank to cover for the Covid Corporate Financing Facility loan they got last year, which covered losses brought about by the coronavirus pandemic.
Maguire says there were restrictions on what they could use the CCFF for, but the new loan doesn’t have one and that means they have as much as £120million to spend on player recruitments.
That could help them land Martin Odegaard, who is reportedly at the top of their summer shopping list.
However, Arsenal may find there is an obstacle to bringing him in as the resignation of Zinedine Zidane from his post at Real Madrid complicates matters.
Odegaard has a contract with Madrid until 2023, and an incoming manager may view him as a more important member of the squad than Zidane did.
Consequently, Arsenal have been forced to explore alternatives, most notably Norwich’s Emi Buendia.
In terms of outgoings, the Gunners have reportedly named their price for defensive-minded midfielder Granit Xhaka amid interest from Roma.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma recently made an initial £11m bid for the Switzerland international.
But that was rejected by the Gunners, who told the Serie A side they will need to up it to £17m to begin any discussions.
The report suggests that it is possible Roma could include Amadou Diawara in an exchange deal.
    GUNNER SPEND BIG
Financial analyst Kieran Maguire says Arsenal have money to spend on players this summer.
The Gunners have faced fan protests in recent weeks with fans demanding more investment in the playing squad from the club’s owners.
He told Football Insider: “In terms of the Barclays loan, it’s Arsenal’s money to play with.
“The Barclays relationship gives Arsenal a greater degree of flexibility. That could be beneficial for the club because you don’t have to ringfence it in terms of day-to-day operational costs.
“The Kroenke family have got an awful lot of work to do to convince the Arsenal fans of their intentions. This new loan could be used for recruitment and retention issues.”
    CROWN JUL
Sevilla’s French prospect Jules Kounde admits he might have to ‘change clubs’ to realise his potential in a major boost for Prem clubs.
The 22-year-old defender has been trailed by Arsenal, as well as Manchester United and Chelsea.
He helped Sevilla win the Europa League after moving from Bordeaux in 2019 and his LaLiga form hasn’t gone unnoticed among the Premier League giants.
Kounde received his first France call-up for this summer’s Euros, and he was grilled by reporters at the team’s Clairefontaine training camp about his future.
He said: “Regarding my future, it’s certain that I will perhaps have to change clubs this summer.
“But nothing has been finalised yet. I have not decided anything.
“My goal is to play for a big club, to try to always progress and to win trophies.”

    NO. 1 TARGET
Martin Odegaard is at the top of Arsenal’s shopping list this summer after his loan spell recently came to an end.
The Real Madrid star made a big impression at The Emirates thanks to a number of impressive performances as well as his character and leadership credentials.
Arsenal may find there is an obstacle to bringing him in however, as the resignation of Zinedine Zidane from his post at Real Madrid complicates matters.
Odegaard has a contract with Madrid until 2023, and an incoming manager may view him as a more important member of the squad than Zidane did.
Consequently, Arsenal have been forced to explore alternatives, most notably Norwich’s Emi Buendia.
    PRICE OF GRANIT RISING
Arsenal have reportedly named their price for defensive-minded midfielder Granit Xhaka amid interest from Roma.
Former Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho will take charge of Roma from the start of next season and has already begun plotting his new squad.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Roma recently made an initial £11m bid for the Switzerland international.
But that was rejected by the Gunners, who told the Serie A side they will need to up it to £17m to begin any discussions.
The report suggests that it is possible Roma could include Amadou Diawara in an exchange deal, with the Guinea midfielder linked to Arsenal in the past.
    OPEN FOR BIS-NESS
Brighton owner Tony Bloom admitted the club’s best players ‘are not going to be with us forever’ in a huge boost to Arsenal in their pursuit of Yves Bissouma.
SunSport revealed earlier this month the Gunners have been told to cough up £40m for the Mali international.
The midfielder has become one of the hottest properties in the Premier League after his displays this season.
And Bloom does not expect to hold on to him forever.
He told The Athletic: “The more big clubs there are interested in our players, the more we’re doing right, so I’m delighted with that.
“We know some of our best players are not going to be with us forever.
“If the right offer comes along — and it has to be the right offer — and they want to go, then they will leave.”

    GUEN TO GO?
Arsenal have rejected an approach from Marseille for midfielder Matteo Guendouzi.
Marseille want Guendouzi on loan, but the Gunners immediately rejected that as he has 12 months on his deal and no extension in the works.
Marseille then returned looking for a permanent deal at around £6.8m, but Arsenal want more than double that.
Negotiations are still taking place and one part of the deal seems to have been agreed, as the Marseille board have largely convinced Guendouzi to make the move.
    EDDING OUT?
Watford are interested in signing Eddie Nketiah this summer.
Nketiah enjoyed more first-team opportunities at The Emirates after Mikel Arteta first arrived but he has fallen down the pecking order in recent weeks.
The England under-21 star is entering the final year of his contract and the Gunners are open to selling him this summer, rather than waiting for him to leave on a free next year.
Arsenal are believed to want more than £15m for the striker if are to let him leave.
His contractual status has opened the door for potential suitors, with the Hornets among them.
    NO RAYA LIGHT
Brentford goalkeeper David Raya is a long-term target for Arsenal according to The Athletic.
The Gunners made multiple attempts to sign the Spanish goalkeeper last summer, and were willing to spend £10million to sign him.
But Raya signed a new contract with Brentford, which contained a minimum fee release clause.
However, that clause has now been invalidated due to Brentford’s promotion to the Premier League.
    PRICE IS DWIGHT
Aston Villa want to sign Burnley star Dwight McNeil and Norwich’s Arsenal target Emi Buendia, according to The Athletic.
Buendia is a key target with the playmaker attracting plenty of interest.
His form, which helped the Canaries win the Championship title, has led to interest from Arsenal and Villa.
The Argentina ace scored 15 goals and provided 17 assists during a superb campaign for the promotion winners.
Villa face major competition from Arsenal for Buendia but their interest is a statement of intent for their ambition next season.
The club are still intent on holding on to England star Jack Grealish and are looking to strengthen their current squad, rather than replace players.

    HAK THAT
Arsenal have been dealt another transfer blow as Inter Milan right-back Achraf Hakimi looks set to join PSG.
The Parisians are believed to not be completely sold on loanee Alessandro Florenzi.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport Inter need to get between £77million to £85m in transfer sales to meet the economic needs of the club.
The report states that the Nerazzurri and PSG are in the advanced stages of negotiations.
And the deal would be around £51.5m – turning a profit of £16.5m from when they acquired him permanently from Real Madrid for £34.3m back in 2020.
    BERTRAND BLOW
Ryan Bertrand is now a free agent after his contract at Southampton expired.
Arsenal have shown interest in signing Bertrand in the summer transfer window.
According to Football London, however, Leicester are leading the race as they held talks with the talented left-back.
Gunners manager Mikel Arteta is looking to significantly strengthen his squad after a poor season that saw the team missing out on Europe for the first time in 25 years
    BRIGHTON REACT
Brighton chief executive Paul Barber has admitted that the Seagulls may not be able to hold on to their best players in the summer.
This comes amid reports suggesting Arsenal are keeping tabs on midfielder Yves Bissouma.
Barber told The Athletic: “I don’t see it as a negative at all. The more the big clubs that are interested in our players, the more we’re doing right, so I am delighted with that.
“We know some of our best players aren’t going to be with us forever and, if the right offer comes along – and it has to be the right offer – and they want to leave, then they can go.
“If we’ve got players leaving, then we’ve got back-up internally, and we can go out into the transfer market.
“We’re always looking ahead, we’re always trying to scout the best young players and bring them into our squad, or loan them out. It’s a really important part of what we do”
    FOUR-TY
Nicolas Pepe is not the only one to be celebrating his birthday within the Arsenal family.
Andrey Arshavin turned 40 today and the Gunners shared some wishes on social media.
Arshavin is still remembered by the fans when he scored four goals against Liverpool at Anfield in 2009.
The forward spent four years in the north Londoners’ books before moving to Zenit St Petersburg in 2013

    TRUE ART-IST
Manchester City star Raheem Sterling has previously praised Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners are reportedly interested in working out a deal with Sterling ahead of the summer transfer window following rumours suggesting he will be offloaded by City.
The England international previously worked with Arteta when the Spaniard was Pep Guardiola’s assistant manager at the Etihad.
    PEP TALK
Arsenal star Nicolas Pepe has been included in the Europa League Squad of the Season.
Pepe joins six Manchester United players, that is Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes and Edinson Cavani.
The winger had the joint-highest goal contribution – along with Villarreal star Gerard Moreno – in the Europa League as he scored six times and amassed four assists.
Not a bad way for the Ivory Coast international to celebrate his 25th birthday

    FINAL EURO SQUAD
England manager Gareth Southgate is expected to name his final squad on Tuesday 1 June.
Southgate named his provisional 33-man shortlist on Tuesday ahead of Euro 2020 but seven players will soon be cut.
So far Bukayo Saka is the only Arsenal player who made the cut ahead of the European championships.
The England boss said: “There are 12 players still to play so we’re always going to need additional players and added to that we have some injuries at different stages, that we have very little info about.
“We felt more time will help us make better decisions. Our preference was to name the 26, but we have not got an ideal hand of cards – a lot of unknowns.
“Info and evidence are very important and we will have a lot more in the next seven days”

CHELSEA are celebrating a phenomenal Champions League victory after seeing off Man City in Lisbon. Kai Havertz was the Blues’ hero, with the German playmaker scoring the only goal of the game just before the break.
And reports suggest Thomas Tuchel could be set for a new contract at Stamford Bridge after masterminding the victory.

    SPECIAL DELIVERY
Cesar Azpilicueta is already targeting Chelsea’s next silverware after finally landing the Champions League.
The 31-year-old said: “When you play for a club like Chelsea, you always think about the future.
“That’s done, we are very happy, we will celebrate, we are champions of Europe again after nine years, second time in our history.
“But football is like this, the ones who go to the Euros get a new challenge ahead of us, we will come back in the Premier League, we didn’t finish where we wanted to finish and we want to fight for everything.
“At Chelsea, I always learned that we go for every single game, fight for every single trophy and I’m pleased that I could get my hands on the trophy that I missed before.
“We will celebrate this, for a few days, the whole summer for the ones who don’t have the Euros!
“But that’s gone, we are part of the history of Chelsea and then we will go for the next challenge.”
    NEW DEALS
Chelsea superstar and the Champions League Final’s Man of the Match N’Golo Kante will be offered a new long-term deal.
That is according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who claims Kante will be offered a new contract in the next few weeks.
Romano also reports that Thiago Silva will sign a one-year extension with the Blues.
And of course, manager Thomas Tuchel is set to agree on a brand new deal with the club
“Thinking of Ballon d’Or? No… WE are savouring the Champions’ League, then there’s the Euros”.“Man of the match? It’s secondary. TUCHEL SPEAKS
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel opened up on the unique feeling he experienced as the first ever manager to make the Champions League Final for the second consecutive year with different teams.
Tuchel told Sky Sports: “To share it with everybody is incredible. We made it. Wow. I don’t know what to feel.
“I was so grateful to arrive a second time [in the final]. I felt different. We were somehow… You could feel it getting closer.
“The [players] were determined to win this. We wanted to be a stone in their shoe. We encouraged everybody to step up and step out, to be more brave and create dangerous counter-attacks”
    CARRAGHER REACTS
Jamie Carragher claims Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola should have started Fernandinho in the Champions League Final.
Many criticised Guardiola’s decision not to include a defensive midfilder in his starting line-up against Chelsea.
Carragher tweeted: “Chelsea outstanding & deserved winners, [N’Golo] Kante a machine!
“But I cannot believe Pep picked a team for #ChampionsLeagueFinal without Fernandinho”

    AIN’T NO MOUNT-AIN HIGH
Chelsea star Mason Mount, who provided the assist for Kai Havertz’s goal, claims the Blues proved they are the “best team in the world”.
Mount told Sky Sports: “I can’t put it into words. It’s impossible.
“I just mentioned then that I’ve played in two finals for Chelsea and we lost them both. The way that hurt… It’s all I’ve dreamt winning a trophy with Chelsea.
“To go all the way in the Champions League. We played some tough teams. We are in a final and we won it. It’s such a special occasion.
“At this moment in time, we’re the best team in the world. You can’t take that away from us”
    STRIK-INGS OPTION
Chris Sutton claims Southampton star striker Danny Ings may go to either Manchester United or Manchester City in the summer as a cheaper striking option.
City will be on the lookout for a striker following record goalscorer Sergio Aguero’s departure from the club after 10 years of service.
    DE BRUYNE SPEAKS OUT
Manchester City superstar Kevin De Bruyne suffered a heavy facial injury during the Champions League Final against Chelsea.
De Bruyne clashed with Blues ace Antonio Rudiger after 60 minutes and hobbled off the pitch with a black eye.
The attacking midfielder was transferred to hospital and took to Twitter to confirm that he’s been diagnosed with acute nose bone fracture and left orbital fracture.
The Belgium international tweeted the following:
Hi guys just got back from the hospital. My diagnosis is Acute nose bone fracture and left orbital fracture. I feel okay now. Still disappointed about yesterday obviously but we will be back— Kevin De Bruyne (@DeBruyneKev) May 30, 2021

    DE BRUYNE LATEST
Manchester City ace Kevin De Bruyne may have to miss Belgium’s first Euro 2020 matches in the group stage.
De Bruyne was taken off the Champions League Final after a rough clash with Chelsea ace Antonio Rudiger on 60 minutes.
The attacking midfielder was diagnosed with acute nose bone fracture and left orbital fracture after the game.
According to ESPN, the 29-year-old will need three weeks to heal, which means he may not play any part in the Euros’ group stage against Denmark, Finland and Russia.
However, there is no way De Bruyne is going to miss the entire tournament provided that Belgium make it out of the group stage
    IT’S BEN GREAT
Chelsea star Ben Chilwell claimed that the Champions League triumph is exactly why he decided to join the Blues last summer.
Chilwell told Sky Sports: “We fought so hard today.
“We knew it would be a tough game. The second half… we fought for our lives to get to this moment, to have this feeling.
“This is what I came to Chelsea for. It’s a dream come true”
    EMPEROR CESAR
Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta considers Saturday’s triumph a special moment in his career as he joined the Blues just a few months after their first Champions League trophy in 2012.
Azpilicueta told Sky Sports: “This means a lot.
“I came here in 2012 after the Champions League win and of course I wanted to repeat that.
“Tonight it’s just amazing. My family is here and it’s just a special day”
    KAI SPIRITS
Chelsea star Kai Havertz scored the winner in the Champions League Final and was over the moon after the final whistle.
Havertz told Sky Sports: “I don’t know what to say, it’s an incredible feeling. We deserved it and now we celebrate.
“I waited a long time [to score in the Champions League], and now I’ve done it.
“I just want to thank my family, my parents, my brother, my sister, my grandmother, my girlfriend.
“They’re here in the stadium. I worked 15 years for that moment and now it’s happened”
    SAVAGE AS EVRA
Manchester United legend Patrice Evra poked fun at Manchester City after the Champions League Final.
City couldn’t win their first ever major European title as they lost 1-0 to Chelsea following Kai Havertz’s winner.
Evra took a swipe at United’s rivals as he shared a humorous image joking about the Citizens’ lack of European trophies.
    The former left-back tweeted:

    TUCHEL REACTION
Thomas Tuchel led Chelsea to their second Champions League triumph thanks to a 1-0 victory over Manchester City in the final.
Kai Havertz scored the winner and capped an incredible maiden season for Tuchel.
The former Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund boss became the third consecutive German manager to win the European title.
Here’s what he had to say:

    AGUER-GO
Manchester City hero Sergio Aguero is set to undergo his medical at Barcelona in the next few hours.
That is according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who claims that Aguero has already put pen to paper on a two-year contract with Barca.
The Argentina international played his last ever game with the Citizens on Saturday’s Champions League Final against Chelsea.
The striker’s former City team-mate Eric Garcia is set to join him at the Nou Camp.
Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum will follow in the next few days
Sergio Agüero will be in Barcelona in the next few hours in order to undergo his medical. Contract until June 2023 already signed. Eric Garcia set to be announced too. Gini Wijnaldum deal will be officially completed in the next few days, here-we-go confirmed. 🔵🔴 #FCB #Barça— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) May 30, 2021

    TUCH-ING BASE
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is going to sign a brand new deal with the club after winning the Champions League trophy.
Tuchel led the Blues to a famous 1-0 win over Manchester City in the final and, according to The Guardian, he is set to extend his existing contract by another year at Stamford Bridge.
Romano tweeted: “Thomas Tuchel will meet Chelsea board in the next days to sign a new contract, confirmed. Just a matter of time.
“He’s already planning for new signings together with the club. Blue circle #CFC
The agreement will be completed until June 2023 + option for one more season”

    DE BRUYNE INJURY
Manchester City talisman Kevin De Bruyne suffered a heavy injury during the Champions League Final and had to be substituted.
De Bruyne clashed with Chelsea ace Antonio Rudiger close to the hour-mark and limped off the pitch with an apparent head injury, which also gave him a black eye.
There is still no update on his condition but last night’s collision raises some significant questions regarding the attacking midfielder’s fitness ahead of Euro 2020.
Belgium boss Roberto Martinez will be counting a lot on the 29-year-old in the country’s bid to win the trophy in the summer
    PERFECT TUCH
Chelsea’s Champions League celebrations obviously continued backstage.
Blues boss Thomas Tuchel took it all in with a bottle of champagne he brought to the dressing room.
Tuchel popped the bottle and sprayed all of his players who were on cloud nine after beating Manchester City 1-0 in Porto.
Check out the scenes from the west Londoners’ lock room:

    TWO-TIME CHAMPS
Chelsea enjoyed a historic Champions League triumph on Saturday as they beat Manchester City in the final.
The Blues defeated Pep Guardiola’s favourites thanks to Kai Havertz’s winner after 42 minutes.
This marked the west Londoners’ second European title, nine years after beating Bayern Munich in Germany.
City’s long wait for a European title continues…
    BALS OF STEAL
Journalist Guillem Balague has launched a passionate defence of Pep Guardiola, condemning the Man City manager’s critics for only caring about results.
Guardiola came in for deep criticism after choosing to start the game without a holding midfielder and playing out-of-form Raheem Sterling from the start.
And who thinks winning and losing is not the star and end of allThose who judge it all on a result in one game, please move to one side and answer this: why do you watch football if all you care is the result? DIO-GO?
    VAR-CICAL
Manchester United are reportedly willing to double Real Madrid star Raphael Varane’s wages at Old Trafford.
Real are ready to sell Varane if he opts to snub a new contract offer at the Santiago Bernabeu.
According to ABC, Los Blancos are ready to make decisions regarding captain Sergio Ramos and the France international after confirming the signing of David Alaba.
Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has prioritised a centre-back signing to partner up with Harry Maguire in defence, and Varane poses as his top preference.
However, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are also keeping tabs on the 26-year-old
    HARRY KAN STILL BE SIGNED
Former Hull player Dean Windass believes Manchester United can still try and sign Harry Kane despite Edinson Cavani’s new deal.
Windass believes Cavani could still play as the Tottenham superstar’s back-up.
Windass told This is Futbol: “Even though they’ve signed up Cavani, if they sign Harry Kane, then Cavani will be a squad player.
“I think initially Cavani was a squad player, but then obviously now, you know, he started to score goals”
    NATH-ING MORE
Stoke are waiting on Manchester United, Arsenal and Crystal Palace to come in for Nathan Collins.
Collins is reportedly targeted by Burnley, but the Potters have placed a high fee for the centre-back.
The 20-year-old made 27 appearances across all competitions this season.
United are on the lookout for a centre-back but are focusing their attention on the likes of Real Madrid star Raphael Varane and Villarreal ace Pau Torres
    OLE LOT OF LUCK
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is “lucky” to still be the club’s head coach, according to Arsenal hero Martin Keown.
“I do think he’s fortunate but this is the current day Manchester United”
    STRIK-INGS OPTION
Chris Sutton claims Southampton star Danny Ings may go to either Manchester United or Manchester City in the summer as a cheaper striking option.
Sutton told BBC Radio 5Live: “There’s talk about Danny Ings leaving.
“He could end up at Manchester City or Manchester United.
“There are all sorts of rumours flooding around the Norfolk area, but that’s what I have heard.
“And how could they [Southampton] possibly replace him?”
    GETTY IMAGES
    MAKE IT DONN
AC Milan star goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma will be available for half of David de Gea’s salary.
That is according to Corriere dello Sport, who claim Donnarumma’s agent Mino Raiola has lowered his client’s salary terms.
The Italy international looks set to leave Milan after failing to agree on a new deal.
Raiola expects a salary of around €6million (£5m) net a year, the same wage he got at the Rossneri.

    FOUR REAL
Manchester United chiefs are going to sanction four signings for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the summer.
That is according to the Daily Mail, who claim that Solskjaer will get financial backing in his bid to complete the transfer of Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho and three other players.
United seem keen on buying a new striker, despite Edinson Cavani’s new contract, and are targeting Sancho’s star team-mate Erling Haaland as well as Tottenham superstar Harry Kane.
The Red Devils are also looking for a defender to partner up with Harry Maguire at centre-back and are keeping tabs on Real Madrid ace Raphael Varane and Villarreal’s Pau Torres
    STAYING RON
Cristiano Ronaldo won’t be leaving Juventus in the summer transfer window.
That is according to Ronaldo’s girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez, who claimed that the star forward, who was linked with a return to Manchester United, will stay in Turin.
Rodriguez made that statement as she was filmed walking in Spain.
She was asked: “Is Cristiano staying at Juventus or not?”
After a moment’s silence she turned to the camera filming her and replied: “He’s staying”

    SANCHO UPDATE
Manchester United are still in talks with Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho’s representatives over a potential summer deal.
According to Sky Sports, “as it stands, United represents the most realistic destination” for Sancho.
United won’t have to worry about personal terms as they already agreed on them last summer when they tried to sign the star winger.
Dortmund are currently listening to offers for the England international and have yet to publicly name a price.
But it seems like the 21-year-old could be available for £80million, which is significantly lower than the £108m the Bundesliga giants demanded last year

    THE WHITE STUFF
Manchester United have been handed a transfer boost in their hopes of signing Brighton’s Ben White this summer.
According to the Manchester Evening News Ben White could cost in excess of £35million.
However, Brighton could be open to a sale if recent comments by the South Coast club’s chairman, businessman Tony Bloom are anything to go by.
He told BBC Radio Sussex: “This season and the previous season have been really tough financially.
“We have lost over £50m purely because of Covid over the two seasons. That money is never coming back.
“We know some of our best players are not going to be with us forever.
“If the right offer comes along — and it has to be the right offer — and they want to go, then they will leave.”
    KINGSLEY COM-ING?
Manchester United are in the hunt to sign Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman, according to journalist Christian Falk.
The news was delivered on The United Stand youtube channel, with Falk suggesting the Red Devils have held a long-term interest in the Frenchman.
He said: “They are interested in him, and they were last summer already.
“I think sometimes they do it to make a little bit of pressure on the [Jadon] Sancho deal but there is a true interest in him.”
Barcelona are also said to be keen on Coman, and a fee of £61.5million has been mooted as a potential price for the 24-year-old, via Sport.
