    EXCLUSIVE – KEN LAWRENCE
Daniel Levy will demand a cash-only deal for star striker Harry Kane.
The Tottenham chairman wants at least £150million for his England captain – if he is prepared to let him leave at all, that is.
But he is definitely not interested in ‘cast-offs’ as part of a player-exchange deal for the 27-year-old.

    EXCLUSIVE – TEDDY SHERINGHAM INTERVIEW
When we think of Euro ’96, several beautiful images come to mind – Gazza’s goal, Pearce’s penalty and all of the win against Holland.
But two unpleasant images pop up too – one being a heartbroken Gareth Southgate after his penalty miss in the semi-final against Germany.
And, from a month or so before that, the photos of the infamous night out in Hong Kong.
Teddy Sheringham, his clothes inexplicably in shreds, was one of many faces staring out of our front pages along with a spirit-soaked Gazza, obviously enjoying an almighty pre-tournament bender.

    GERMANY WIN 7-1

    WIJN YOUR HEART
PSG have hijacked Barcelona’s move for Georgino Wijnaldum to sign the midfielder.
The 30-year-old is leaving Liverpool this month after his contract expires at Anfield.
Spanish giants Barcelona thought they were in pole position to seal a deal for the Dutchman.
But Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano claims they have been usurped by the Ligue 1 club.
Wijnaldum has allegedly already penned his contract at PSG.
The star is believed to have committed his future to Mauricio Pochettino’s team until 2024.
He is set to undergo a medical this evening and if no problems arise from that then transfer will be officially confirmed.
    NEUER BRINGS UP HIS CENTURY
Manuel Neuer has picked up his 100th senior cap for Germany this evening in their friendly against Latvia.
The skipper has enjoyed a wonderful international career to date, winning the 2014 World Cup.
Can he lead the Germans to European glory this summer?

    GERMANS LOOKING GOOD
Germany are beating Latvia 5-0 at half-time in their final friendly before Euro 2020.
Joachim Low’s side face France in their opening match of the tournament on Tuesday, June 15.

    BOO ARE YA?
Rio Ferdinand has slammed fans who boo England players taking the knee as ‘ignorant’.
A number of supporters at the Three Lions’ Euro 2020 warm-up friendlies jeered the pre-game gesture.
Ferdinand told his YouTube channel: “These fans, these ignorant people going to these games, they haven’t got a clue.
“They don’t know what the players are kneeling for. It’s not a political stance.
“All these people saying, ‘BLM is a political movement’ – [the knee] is nothing to do with [BLM]. So take that out of your mind.”
    NOT GUNNER LEAVE
Manchester City star Riyad Mahrez has quashed any rumours linking him with a shock move to Arsenal this summer.
The Algerian was touted as a potential target for Mikel Arteta – whom he worked with during the latter’s time as Pep Guardiola’s assistant.
The Gunners were also strongly linked with a move for the winger during his Leicester days before he joined the Premier League champions.
And it was said Arsenal could reignite their interest with City looking to get the 30-year-old off the wage bill to make room for new signings.
But Mahrez has reaffirmed his commitment to the Sky Blues following his nation’s 1-0 victory against Mali.
He told DZ Sport: “There is nothing about my future. I am well in Manchester. I will stay God willing.”
    ERLI RISER
Chelsea are hard at work formulating a deal to sign Erling Haaland, according to reports.
Thomas Tuchel has delivered the Champions League to Stamford Bridge and is being given a huge transfer fund to plot a Premier League title bid.
A new striker is among their targets with Romelu Lukaku and Harry Kane joining Haaland in being linked with the Blues.
According to former Norway striker turned pundit Jan Aage Fjortoft, the Borussia Dortmund star is the number one priority.
Chelsea are working ‘intensely’ to beat Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester City to the 20-year-old, it is said.
However, Haaland’s wage demands are reportedly the biggest stumbling block in the deal.

    NO HEART OR SOL
Arsenal legend Sol Campbell has blasted the current Gunners after claiming that his old club have become ‘soft’.
Speaking to Ladbrokes at the launch of their new European Championships 5-a-side Bet, Campbell said: “When I was at Arsenal we had a team of tough guys… I don’t know whether things have softened now.
“When I was there we had a team full of tough guys. All great gentlemen, straight-talking.
“There were loads of characters, great banter and with that came a few fights from time to time. But above all that, it was a team full of great personalities; great people.
“We didn’t shy away from things at all. Is football like that now? Are Arsenal like that now? I don’t think so.
“We were ruthless gentlemen. There is such a thing; you know what’s good and what’s bad but when it comes to football there’s no mucking around.
    “It’s as simple as that.”
    ‘SHAMBLES’

The deal is also believed to include £20m worth of add-ons.

    PIERRE WE GO
Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement with West Ham to sell midfield wonderkid Pierre Ekwah.
Sky Sports claimed that the 19-year-old’s move to the London Stadium is set to confirmed on Wednesday when the transfer window officially opens.
The highly-rated France youth international arrived at Stamford Bridge back in 2018 for £1.8 million from Nantes.
Ekwah, who is primarily a defensive midfielder who can also play at centre back, has recorded 13 caps for his country’s Under-16’s.

    GETTING SHIRTY
Russia have been left furious by Ukraine’s Euro 2020 kit that includes a map of their country including Crimea.
Ukraine unveiled their new yellow strip on Sunday ahead of the start of the tournament.
It includes a map of their nation on the front of their shirt.
Much to Russia’s anger, the Crimean peninsula is included in the design.
Also on the kit are the slogans ‘Glory to Ukraine!’ and ‘Glory to the heroes!’
The pro-Russian separatist-controlled regions of Donetsk and Lugansk also feature in the silhouette.
Russia annexed Crimea in 2014, considering the area to be part of their territory.
Though this has been rejected internationally, with the United Nations still recognising Crimea as being part of Ukraine.

    ‘LACK OF RESPECT’
Mexico fans were condemned for homophobic chanting that led to Sunday’s Nations League clash with United States being stopped for several minutes.
The final in Denver was marred by several incidents of fan unrest, which included missiles thrown at players, the game being paused, and a pitch invader.

The 33-year-old hasn’t been included in Portugal’s squad for this summer’s tournament having not played international football since 2018.
He’ll always be an icon for that amazing winner, though.

    WIJNALDUM’S BEST
Gini Wijnaldum is set to join Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.
The Liverpool midfielder will be missed at Anfield after winning the Premier League and Champions League during a five-year spell.
He also spent a season at Newcastle United, scoring 11 Prem goals for the Magpies during the 2015-16 season.
Here’s his best goals in England…

    ED-ING TO THE KP
Leicester City are closing in on Arsenal transfer target Odsonne Edouard after agreeing a £15million transfer in principle with Celtic.
    The 23-year-old French striker cost Celtic a club-record £8million from Paris Saint-Germain in 2018.
He formed a strong bond with Brendan Rodgers, who described him as the best young player he had ever worked with.
Now the Foxes boss is set to be reunited with the prolific striker who has scored 55 goals in 75 Scottish Premiership starts for Celtic to become the pin-up boy of Parkhead.
Rodgers’ relationship with Edouard gave him the edge over fellow admirers Arsenal and Inter Milan who were also keen on the striker, who has entered the final year of his Celtic contract.
The Gunners remain on the hunt for a new striker, especially as Eddie Nketiah looks set to leave the Emirates this summer while Alexandre Lacazette may also be offloaded.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang endured a below-par season last term but Mikel Arteta cannot offer Eduoard European football.
    EDDING TO ELLAND ROAD
Arsenal have offered Eddie Nketiah to Leeds for £20million, according to reports.
The Gunners are willing to sell the striker who previously spent time at Elland Road on loan.
Leeds are said to be in the market for a new forward to challenge star man Patrick Bamford and have been offered Nketiah, according to Football Insider. And Arsenal are open to offers for the 22-year-old.
Mikel Arteta is said to have sanctioned the sale. But the North Londoners want at least £20m for their academy product.
Nketiah’s contract has a year left to run so the club are looking to cash in now.

    NO JOSHING AROUND
Manchester United are reportedly chasing England Under 16 captain Josh Feeney over a potential summer move.
The Mail claim the centre-back is set to leave Fleetwood at the end of the month and the Red Devils have made an enquiry to the League One side.
The report adds that Aston Villa are viewed as front-runners to sign highly-rated Feeney.
The 16-year-old scored for England as captain during their 6-0 win over Northern Ireland on Thursday.
And he linked up with two United players during that game – goalkeeper Tom Wooster and potential defensive partner Louis Jackson.
Fleetwood are said to have been fielding bids for Feeney, with the youngster likely to cost a significant six-figure sum.
He has the freedom to choose his next club from July 1 but his transfer fee will be decided by a tribunal if an agreement cannot be reached.

    LOOKS COULD KYL
Kylian Mbappe reacted hilariously when told by Antoine Griezmann that he’d signed for Newcastle for £115million on Football Manager.
The computer game is popular in the French camp, with Ousmane Dembele having obsessed over a Winchester FC save during the 2018 World Cup.
This time around, it’s Barcelona star Griezmann that’s showing off his progress.
Griezmann, 30, boasted to the camera of his many achievements with the Toon Army.
The forward revealed that he’d won the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League and Super Cup with the Geordies.
He expected lavish praise from FM connoisseur Dembele for his achievements. But his Barca team-mate merely said that it’s ‘not bad’.
Incredulous, Griezmann then yelled over to Mbappe, who was sitting on the other aisle of their team flight, that he’d signed him for Newcastle on the game.
At first the PSG star responded: “Where?” before saying in a deadpan voice: “It is not very warm there.”

    HAA-RD BALL
Chelsea have held talks with Erling Haaland about a potential move this summer, according to reports.
The Borussia Dortmund striker is perhaps the hottest property on the market currently, with Real Madrid, Barcelona and both Manchester clubs also interested.
But it is the Blues who could hold the upper hand, with Roman Abramovich ready to fund a £154.5million pound move – which is Dortmund’s asking price.
According to journalist Kristof Terreur, Haaland’s future is unpredictable, though he did reveal the talks between Chelsea and the 20-year-old.
He told The Football Terrace: “I know that there have been talks with Haaland’s people before, but Haaland is a difficult one to predict, too.
“Definitely, since Dortmund qualified for the Champions League, you feel that now they have an extra reason to keep him.
“But Haaland is the one that everybody wants to get and I would wait for him.”

    ENG-LESS OPTIONS
Gareth Southgate has already admitted the pressure of picking an England squad for a major tournament almost saw him snub the job.
But now he must somehow decide on choosing a starting XI from his 26-strong list of elite-level talent.
Ben White has come in as a late replacement for the injured Trent Alexander-Arnold to complete the final group.
Southgate’s two certainties are his captain and striker Harry Kane will lead the line while Jordan Pickford is going to be in goal.
But other than that, there are plenty of different options at the Three Lions boss’ disposal, both in terms of personnel and shape, ahead of their curtain-raiser against Croatia on Sunday…
Check out five possible ways Southgate could choose to set-up via our piece here.
    JESUS IN, CRIST OUT
Juventus are reportedly preparing a move for Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus this summer.
But the Serie A side will only make an approach for the Brazilian if Cristiano Ronaldo leaves.
Ronaldo, 36, has been the subject of significant transfer speculation, with Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United linked.
And according to Gazzetta dello Sport, via Football Italia, Juventus have already started looking for his replacement, with Jesus topping their wishlist.
PSG striker Mauro Icardi and Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic are also believed to be on the shortlist, with Massimiliano Allegri keen to improve his forward options.
Also, new sporting director Federico Cherubini is said to be plotting a renewal of Alvaro Morata’s loan deal.
The report states that Jesus could be sacrificed by City as they raise funds to sign Harry Kane.

    HEAD-ACHE
Steve Clarke revealed taking Billy Gilmour off was purely a precautionary move.
Scotland ran out 1-0 winners in Luxembourg but passed up a host of opportunities to make it more emphatic.
Gilmour was smashed less than half an hour after coming off the bench by a cowardly, aerial Olivier Thill challenge to the head.
It left the youngster in a crumpled heap for a couple of minutes before heading to the sidelines.
But after the match Clarke said: “The good news is he is fine. The doctors took him off as a precaution and we’ll assess him over the next couple of days.
“He’s a tough boy; he’s from Ardrossan! He’s fine. The challenge happened and I didn’t get a good view of it and I am yet to see it back.
“But its one of those things that happen in football. The reaction of the players was good in surrounding to show we are together.
“Let’s not make that the big story. The big story is we are now fully prepared for our first tournament in 23 years.”

    SOUTHGATE ON ENGLAND PERFORMANCE
Gareth Southgate said #ENG “needed to be better” after ending their Euro 2020 warm-up with an unconvincing 1-0 win over Romania at the Riverside.— Sky Sports (@SkySports) June 7, 2021

    NOT KEANE ON HENDO
Roy Keane has slammed Gareth Southgate’s decision to include Jordan Henderson in his 26-man England squad for the upcoming European Championships.
The 30-year-old Liverpool captain had not played a single minute of first team football when he was included in the Three Lions boss’ squad for the tournament.
Speaking on ITV’s coverage before the game, he said: “Clearly Jordan’s not fit – I don’t think he should be involved.
“If he can’t start the game against Romania – because physically and mentally today’s game won’t be that tough for him – having not kicked a ball for three-and-a-half months he can’t be right.
“I’ve heard people say they want him around the place – for what? Does he do card tricks? Does he have a sing song? Does he do quizzes in the evenings?
“What does he do? Jordan’s an experienced player.
“Surely Jordan doesn’t want to be around the place as some sort of cheerleader – you want to play and he’s clearly nowhere near it.”

    NORWICH STATEMENT
Norwich have also released a statement about Buendia’s departure.
They said: “Norwich City can confirm that a club record deal has been agreed with Aston Villa for the transfer of Emi Buendia.
“Buendia will complete his final medical checks following the conclusion of Argentina’s World Cup qualifying fixture against Colombia on Tuesday evening.
“Final confirmation of the transfer will follow upon completion of the player’s medical.”
    BUENDIA TO VILLA
Here is the official tweet from Aston Villa. The full statement reads: “Aston Villa and Norwich City have reached an agreement for the transfer of Emiliano Buendia.
“As Emiliano is currently in the Argentina national team’s biosecure bubble, preparing for a World Cup qualifying match with Colombia on Tuesday evening, he will undergo a medical and complete the transfer after the game.”

    MUY BUENO
Aston Villa have confirmed they have reached an agreement with Norwich to sign playmaker Emiliano Buendia.
The news will come as a huge blow to Arsenal who had been keen on bringing the 24-year-old to the Emirates.
It had been thought that the Gunners were in pole position to sign the Argentine ace – who is currently on international duty.
But SunSport revealed on Sunday that Buendia was closing in on a move to the Midlands in a club-record £38million deal.
And now Villa have confirmed the news as they released a statement after having a bid accepted by the Canaries.
They said: “Aston Villa and Norwich City have reached an agreement for the transfer of Emiliano Buendia.
“As Emiliano is currently in the Argentina national team’s biosecure bubble, preparing for a World Cup qualifying match with Colombia on Tuesday evening, he will undergo a medical and complete the transfer after the game.”

    KIER WE GO
Arsenal could try and hijack Kieran Trippier’s move to Manchester United this summer, according to reports.
But the former Spurs ace would rather sign for the Red Devils.
SunSport exclusively revealed last week that Trippier, 30, has told his England team-mates that he’d like to return to the Premier League with Man United.
But Atletico may try and flog him elsewhere, against his wishes.
According to Marca, Diego Simeone’s side could try and use Trippier in a deal with Arsenal, in which Hector Bellerin would move the other way.

    GO WEST
David Moyes is reportedly ready to commit to West Ham by signing a new three-year contract.
And that would rule him out of the running for the Everton job, having been linked with a return to Goodison Park this summer.
Football Insider claims Moyes held in-depth talks with the Hammers’ hierarchy on Friday after reports claimed he was on Everton’s wish-list to replace Carlo Ancelotti.
However, Moyes made it clear he had no intention of walking out after leading West Ham to next season’s Europa League.
A new deal is now in the works and will apparently tie Moyes down to the London Stadium for three years on improved terms.

    ON PAR
Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has opened the door to completing a free transfer for Lionel Messi this summer.
Reports in Spain suggest that the previously wantaway Argentine is close to extending his stay at Barcelona.
But Al-Khelaifi, 47, is refusing to give up.
In an interview with L’Equipe, he noted: “Messi is at the end of his contract and all clubs have the right to talk to him and recruit him for next season.
“What I can tell you, and you can believe me, is that all great players want to come to PSG.
“All – just to be clear, I’m not saying that to answer you on Messi. It’s not possible to sign them all, since we have great players too.
“And Messi is Messi, a fantastic player.”

    HAZARD STAY
Eden Hazard will remain at Real Madrid for the start of next season, teammate Thibaut Courtois has revealed.
The former Chelsea forward has been linked with a move back to Stamford Bridge following an awful couple of years in Spain.
But Courtois, who is currently with Belgium teammate Hazard as the national team prepare for Euro 2020, has confirmed the 30-year-old is staying at Real Madrid and tipped him to answer critics in the same way divisive star Gareth Bale did.
Speaking to Le Soir, the keeper said: “I’m 100% sure he’s staying. He doesn’t want to move. Only the Madrid press writes about the desire to leave.
“He wants to continue, play free of injuries and win titles.
“At Real Madrid there is criticism all the time and for everyone. Gareth Bale was criticized, but he won the Champions League and scored a double in the final in Kyiv.
“We all know that in Madrid there is pressure and criticism from the press and the fans. But Eden can handle that. I know him well enough to say it. He can still change everything.
“He still wants to be an important player for Madrid and win titles.”

    ROUD NOT TO
Olivier Giroud has hinted he could yet join AC Milan this summer despite having his Chelsea contract extended for another season.
Giroud said: “I want to make it clear that Chelsea reactivated the clause in April.
“And they recently announced it to comply with Premier League rules.
“It’s fair to remember that I liked Marco van Basten and Andriy Shevchenko.
“Milan are a big club and one of the great teams in Europe.
“But today, I will not talk about my future at the club because I am focused on the France team and the Euros, which is fast approaching.”

    RED ROM
Manchester United are preparing a £39million bid for Atalanta defender Cristian Romero, according to reports.
The Italian side are reportedly planning to make his loan from Juventus permanent for £21.5m before cashing in on his services.
According to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Atalanta will take up an option in the 23-year-old’s loan deal to sign him permanently.
The fee is believed to be £21.5m – but some rumours suggest it could be as low as £13.75m.
Reports claim the Serie A side will then look to sell Romero for €45m – around £39m – and make a huge profit.
And the Red Devils are said to be leading the race for the Argentina international’s signature.

    ED-ING TO THE KP
Leicester City are closing in on top summer target Odsonne Edouard after agreeing a £15million transfer in principle with Celtic.

    ICYMI – RED ROM
Manchester United are preparing a £39million bid for Atalanta defender Cristian Romero, according to reports.
The Italian side are reportedly planning to make his loan from Juventus permanent for £21.5m before cashing in on his services.
According to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Atalanta will take up an option in the 23-year-old’s loan deal to sign him permanently.
The fee is believed to be £21.5m – but some rumours suggest it could be as low as £13.75m.

And the Red Devils are said to be leading the race for the Argentina international’s signature.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOU MACARI
    It’s Lou Macari’s 72nd birthday today!
The midfielder played more than 400 games for United during an 11-year stint, helping them win promotion to the top flight in 1975 and pick up the FA Cup two years later.

    BISSAKA CRACKER
Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s stunner against Newcastle earlier this season is United’s goal of the day.
    Decent hit, to be fair…

    KEEP CALM & HARRY ON
England stumbled to victory in their last game before the Euros – but thankfully the best is still to come from Gareth Southgate’s side.
Southgate criticised the team’s limp display against Romania but with six days until their big kick-off the Three Lions look set to step up a level.
Jordan Henderson got better as the game went on in his first game for three months while Harry Maguire is back running to boost the defensive options before the Croatia clash.

    HAA-RD BALL
Chelsea have held talks with Manchester United transfer target Erling Haaland about a potential move this summer, according to reports.

    THE RASHFORD REVOLUTION

    TRIPP UP
Kieran Trippier has told England team-mates he is keen to secure a move to Manchester United.
The Red Devils are considering a summer swoop for the Atletico Madrid ace as they try to build a squad capable of challenging for the Premier League title next season.
Boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes the 30-year-old is the ideal player to strengthen his defensive options and also provide competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back.
And though he has been a big hit in Spain, it appears the ex-Tottenham man is excited about the prospect of a switch to Old Trafford in his native North-West if the opportunity arises.

    GREAL DEAL
SunSport’s Duncan Wright has delivered his England player ratings…
SAM JOHNSTONE – 7 Wayward early kick, but couple of smart low saves on debut. Then saved well with his feet – before stunning stop to deny equaliser.
BEN GODFREY – 6 Capable display at the back, pushed forward to link up in attack. Steady full debut overall.
BEN WHITE – 7 Calm in possession, looked more assured than defensive partner Mings. Impressive full debut.
TYRONE MINGS – 5 Lapse in concentration in first 30 seconds highlighted fears about ability at highest level. Didn’t improve much afterwards.
LUKE SHAW – 6 Switched off twice to allow Romania in, pushed forward at every possibility. Steady without impressing.
KALVIN PHILLIPS – 6 Pressured well out of possession, quiet on the ball. Went about job without fuss and will be reliable if needed.
JAMES WARD-PROWSE – 8 Busy on and off the ball, excellent in possession and made late claim to manager for selection. Set piece delivery an added bonus.
JADON SANCHO – 7 Looked dangerous from the off, unlucky with shot against bar. Came short too often as England struggled to create.
JACK GREALISH – 8 Ignored the rough challenges to grow in influence, won the penalty and looked biggest threat for England.
MARCUS RASHFORD – 6 Not helped by making runs but not being spotted. Shot wide after one trademark burst, but held nerve to score from spot.
DOMINIC CALVERT-LEWIN – 6 Unlucky with fine header against bar, but should have scored from close range in second half. Quiet display.
    RASH DECISION
ENGLAND will ‘win more’ with Jack Grealish in the starting XI.
That is the opinion of Manchester United star Marcus Rashford.
The forward, 23, told ITV: “Jack is a great player. He will grow and grow in an England shirt.
“We know what he can do. It is about us all working so that he can realise that potential in an England shirt.
“We will win more games with him in the team.”

    NO EXCUSES
Paul Pogba is wary of going home from Euro 2020 empty handed and has issued a stern warning to his team-mates as a result.
He told Eurosport: “We have a PlayStation team but it will remain a PlayStation team if we don’t win a trophy.
“Being world champions and having a team like that, we will be expected to do even more.
“We must remain humble. I want to give this message: it’s not a foregone conclusion. We hear a lot of talk but we keep our feet on the ground.”

    KIER WE GO
Arsenal could try and hijack Kieran Trippier’s move to Manchester United this summer, according to reports.

    MCTOMINAY NAMES FAVOURITE STADIUM
Midfielder Scott McTominay has named his favourite stadium to visit with Manchester United.
Speaking to the club website, he said: “I don’t like PSG because it’s got the track round it. I’m not a fan of the tracks round it, like Roma.
“I like everything to be where there’s people [close]. I’d probably go… I don’t really know to be fair.
“Tottenham’s new stadium is a belter and we won there.”

    BRILLIANT BEN
Chelsea ace Ben Chilwell should start ahead of Manchester United star Luke Shaw for England at the Euros.
That’s the verdict of legendary Arsenal left-back Nigel Winterburn.
He told SunSport via FreeSuperTips: “I wouldn’t mind if either of them played, but if I’m to pick one I’d go Chilwell just based on the feel-good factor.
“He’s been in great form and Chelsea had an unbelievable finish to the season, so I’d go that way.
“The question is whether Southgate goes with four or five at the back and if he prefers one or the other based on the system.
“[Bukayo] Saka is another player who could equally play in that position, so England have some good options there.”

    DOR CLOSED
Manchester United, City and Chelsea have reportedly been dealt a major blow in their pursuits of Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland.
All three Premier League giants, as well as Real Madrid and Barcelona, have been heavily linked with the Norwegian ace.
But Dortmund are determined to keep the 20-year-old for another year.
According to AS, the German giants have slapped a £172million (€200m) price tag on their talismanic forward.
Should Haaland stay for the upcoming season, a release clause a little under £70m will activate next summer.

    MAKING HIS MARC
Marcus Rashford was beaming with pride after leading England to victory as captain against Romania on Sunday.
The Manchester United forward scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot to hand the Three Lions a 1-0 victory in their final match before Euro 2020.
Speaking after the game, he told ITV: “It’s definitely a great moment for me.
“It’s something you dream of when you’re a kid and today I managed to accomplish that dream.”

    TRIPP UP
Kieran Trippier has told England team-mates he is keen to secure a move to Manchester United.

    SAN-GO
Manchester United are reportedly set to finally land Jadon Sancho – for nearly £30million less than he’d have cost last summer.
The Red Devils have long wanted to sign the England star, having been wowed by his performances in the Bundesliga.
But Dortmund dug their heels in last year, demanding £108m.
United refused to match their asking price and Sancho stayed in Germany.
This time around, however, the Red Devils look set to finally secure their target.
According to The Mirror, Dortmund will accept £81.5m for the 21-year-old.
Manchester City are set to receive £12.25m from the deal, having included a 15 per cent sell on clause when Sancho moved to Dortmund as a 17-year-old.

    GOOD MORNING UNITED FANS
Kieran Trippier has told England team-mates he is keen to secure a move to Manchester United, SunSport’s Duncan Wright has exclusively revealed.
The Red Devils are considering a summer swoop for the Atletico Madrid ace as they try to build a squad capable of challenging for the Premier League title next season.
The ex-Tottenham man is excited about the prospect of a switch to Old Trafford in his native North-West if the opportunity arises.
Another rumour links United with a move for Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans.
Liverpool have been credited with an interest in the Belgian international but now United have been mentioned as a potential destination for the player.
According to Belgian journalist Sven Claes, United want to sign the player and one of the elite Spanish teams are also said to be keen on the player.
Claes also tips Tielemans’ value to be at around £55million.
And on the Jadon Sancho latest, United are reportedly set to finally land the winger – for nearly £30m less than he’d have cost last summer.
The Red Devils have long wanted to sign the England star, having been wowed by his performances in the Bundesliga.
But Dortmund dug their heels in last year, demanding £108m. According to The Mirror, Dortmund will accept £81.5m for the 21-year-old.
    LAZ CALL
Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has confirmed that he wants to stay at Lazio following his season-long loan spell.
Since arriving in Italy last summer, the 25-year-old has gone on to feature in 33 matches, in all competitions, directly contributing to five goals, along the way.
However, with his loan contract set to end at the end of the month, Pereira is now preparing to return to his parent club back in Manchester.
Addressing his long-term future, while speaking recently to Tuttomercatoweb, the South American said: “Premier League, Serie A, and La Liga? They are super leagues.
“The English one is very physical, and as you can see, I don’t have the ideal physique. Joking aside, I loved playing in England; Spanish football is more my style of play.
“Future? I would like to stay and play for Lazio again, but this depends on the discussion with United and what they will want to do with me.
“I have a contract with the club; it’s like a second home for me. I have been there since I was 16; I always talk to the people who work for the club.”
    KIE TARGET
Kieran Trippier has told England team-mates he is keen to secure a move to Manchester United, SunSport’s Duncan Wright has exclusively revealed.
The Red Devils are considering a summer swoop for the Atletico Madrid ace as they try to build a squad capable of challenging for the Premier League title next season.
The ex-Tottenham man is excited about the prospect of a switch to Old Trafford in his native North-West if the opportunity arises.
The former Burnley defender remains central to Atleti’s plans having been instrumental in helping Diego Simeone’s side to the LaLiga title.
But United believe they can persuade the Spaniards to strike a deal if they come up with a bid in the region of £15million-£20m.

    REMEMBER WILL GRIGG?
    Some more memories now…
Will Grigg was the star of Euro 2016, but not because of what he did on the pitch for Northern Ireland.
After banging in 25 goals to fire Wigan Athletic to the League One title, Latics fans invented the song ‘Will Grigg’s On Fire’.
The tune went viral and when the striker was selected for Northern Ireland’s squad for the Euros, the fans chanted it throughout.
Grigg didn’t play a single minute in the tournament as his teammates made it to the last 16.
He’s now at Sunderland having spent the second half of the 2020-21 season on loan at MK Dons.

    GAZZA’S GOAL
Euro ’96 will always be fondly remembered for Paul Gascoigne’s incredible goal against Scotland.
Will someone have a similar impact for England at Euro 2020?

    WHAT’S EDER UP TO?
Remember the last man to score in the Euros?
Eder, who hit the winner for Portugal in the 2016 final, is currently playing for Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow.
The 33-year-old hasn’t been included in Portugal’s squad for this summer’s tournament having not played international football since 2018.
He’ll always be an icon for that amazing winner, though.

    THE RASHFORD REVOLUTION

WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN
Kevin De Bruyne will be fit to play for Belgium at Euro 2020, according to boss Roberto Martinez.
The attacking midfielder’s participation looked doubtful, after being forced off in the Champions League final having been body checked by Antonio Rudiger.
De Bruyne, 29, suffered an orbital fracture to his left eye socket and was in tears as he exited the pitch.
Martinez, 47, said: “The operation took place on Sunday and it went well. He will join the group on Monday and will be with us for the Euros.”

    WHITE WINS OUT
If you didn’t see earlier today, Ben White has been called into the England squad for Euro 2020.
The Brighton defender, 23, comes in as the replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Liverpool right-back Alexander-Arnold was left ‘gutted’ after injuring his thigh in the closing stages of the warm-up friendly against Austria last week.
That ruled him out of the tournament and he now faces up to six weeks on the sidelines.
And Gareth Southgate chose White to fill the 26th spot in the team.
White will wear the No22 jersey at the tournament, the number originally given to Alexander-Arnold.

    NO EXCUSES
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is wary of going home from Euro 2020 empty handed and has issued a stern warning to his team-mates as a result.

Gareth Southgate said #ENG “needed to be better” after ending their Euro 2020 warm-up with an unconvincing 1-0 win over Romania at the Riverside.
    — Sky Sports (@SkySports) June 7, 2021

    HERE WE GO
England are the 9/2 favourites for Euro 2020 after playing their final warm up again.
England beat Romania on Sunday and did enough to impress the punters.
England were priced at 5/1 to bring football home this summer with Betfair, and have since moved from 4/1 to 9/2 with confidence in Gareth Southgate’s side.
France, who were originally favourites are priced at 5/1 now.
Belgium and Spain are next in the betting list at 13/2 and 7/1 while Germany are 15/2 and Italy 8/1.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal are as long as 9/1.

    WHITE NOISE
Brighton defender Ben White has given his reaction to being called up to the England squad following Trent Alexander-Arnold’s injury
He tweeted: “Beyond proud and honoured! I’ll give it my everything.”
The former Leeds loanee enjoyed a fine season for the Seagulls, his debut Premier League campaign, picking up the club’s player of the year award.
The Dorset-born star made his senior Three Lions debut as a substitute in holding midfield against Austria before starring at centre-back in the win over Romania yesterday.
White was named in the provisional 33-man squad by Southgate.
But he was one of the seven axed from that list for the final 26 alongside Aaron Ramsdale, Ben Godfrey, Jesse Lingard, James Ward-Prowse, Mason Greenwood and Ollie Watkins.
However, with Alexander-Arnold crocked, Southgate had time to make a switch.
He still has three right-backs available so opted for White, who has proven in his two caps his versatility in the middle.

    ACTOR RANT
Laurence Fox wants England’s ‘millionaire woke babies’ to be dumped out of Euro 2020 and claims he is ’embarrassed to be British’.
The actor, 43, went on an astonishing Twitter rant after England fans were slammed for booing players taking the knee.
The former DS Hathaway actor in Lewis said: “I’m embarrassed to be British. I hope any team but ours wins in any future sporting endeavour.
“Tell me a single thing to moderate my thinking? Millionaire woke babies protesting inequality on two hundred grand a week.
“We deserve everything that is coming. Weak men. Weak.
“My prayers are with Croatia, The Czech Republic and Scotland. Knock these woke English babies out.”

    CAPTAIN FANTASTIC
Marcus Rashford capped one of the proudest days of his career by grabbing the winner in Gareth Southgate’s final Euro2020 warm-up.
Aged 23 years and 218 days, he became the youngest player to start a match as England captain since Michael Owen against Slovakia in June 2003. That match was also at the Riverside Stadium.
Rashford scored from the spot in the 68th minute after Jack Grealish had been fouled by Tiberiu Capusa. Jordan Henderson, playing his first game in February, then wasted a chance to make it 2-0 by missing a penalty.
Whether Rashford did enough to force his way into Gareth Southgate’s starting XI for the opening match against Croatia next Sunday remains to be seen.

    HEN DON’T
Jordan Henderson wrestled the ball from Dominic Calvert-Lewin to take England’s second penalty, before fluffing his lines from the spot.
The Liverpool captain made his Three Lions return from the bench against Romania, having not appeared for club or country since February.
Henderson, 30, wanted to mark his comeback with a goal – taking the ball from Calvert-Lewin after the striker was fouled by Vlad Chiriches in the box.
The midfielder messed up his big moment, however, having his penalty saved by Florin Nita.

    WHITE WINS
Ben White has been called into the England squad for Euro 2020.

    VIRUS SERG
Spain’s Euro 2020 preparations have been hit after captain Sergio Busquets tested positive for coronavirus.
The Barcelona midfielder led the team in a friendly against Portugal on Friday but contracted the virus over the weekend and will now enter a period of self-isolation.
The rest of the squad all tested negative, but the players and staff who were in close contact with the 32-year-old must also quarantine.
Spain, who open their European Championship campaign against Sweden next Monday, are set to play their final friendly against Lithuania on Tuesday.
The game will still go ahead, but under-21s manager Luis De la Fuente will take charge and use players from his squad.

    KANTE BE FUN
Kai Havertz is dreading facing Chelsea team-mate N’Golo Kante from the opposite side of the pitch next week.
Havertz is on duty for Germany, who kick-off their Euro 2020 campaign against Kante’s France on Tuesday, June 15.
And the German said: ‘He is a great personality and a great footballer.
“As an attacking player, I’m always happy when he is on the pitch. You can make a lot of mistakes because he always wins the ball back.
“He’s fast, agile and always gets his leg in.
“That’s why it’s not so nice to have to play against him in the first match of the European Championship, of course.”

    GOOD MORNING FOOTBALL FANS
Spain’s Euro 2020 preparations have been hit after captain Sergio Busquets tested positive for coronavirus.
The Barcelona midfielder led the team in a friendly against Portugal on Friday but contracted the virus over the weekend and will now enter a period of self-isolation.
The rest of the squad all tested negative, but the players and staff who were in close contact with the 32-year-old must also quarantine.
Spain’s first game will still go ahead, but Under-21s manager Luis De la Fuente will take charge and use players from his squad.
In England news, Marcus Rashford has described the feeling of captaining England for the first time as ‘unexplainable’.
Rashford wore the armband as England beat Romania 1-0 at The Riverside in their final warm up game ahead of Euro 2020, with the attacker marking the occasion by scoring the only goal from the penalty spot.
Rashford wrote on Twitter: “I’ve always been in the mindset that you don’t need an armband to be a leader on the pitch but I can’t lie, this feeling is unexplainable. Thank you England what an honour.”
Elsewhere, Kevin De Bruyne will be fit to play for Belgium at Euro 2020, according to boss Roberto Martinez.

Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul LIVE RESULTS: Paul goes DISTANCE against Money Man and calls out Canelo – latest reaction

FLOYD MAYWEATHER has defeated Logan Paul in a bizarre boxing exhibition fight in Miami. The 44-year-old Money Man – who beat Conor McGregor and Tenshin Nasukawa in his last two fights – was unable to stop YouTuber Paul, 26, as the bout went the FULL eight rounds.
And Logan Paul has called out Canelo Alvarez, saying: “You can’t sell pay-per-views. I would eat you alive.”
Follow ALL of the latest reaction from Miami below…
    JAKE’S OPINION MISPLACED?
Jake Paul feels his brother Logan won. All the stats and opinions from everywhere else suggest the contrary.

    ‘LOGAN WON’
Casey Neistat showed support for fellow Youtuber Logan after the fight, expressing a similar sentiment many took from the fight.
If noise grows that Mayweather actually lost could we see the pair back in the ring for a rematch?
    Only time will tell.

    MAYWEATHER ON PACQUIAO
Floyd Mayweather has taken a swipe at former opponent Manny Pacquiao after his exhibition with Logan Paul.
The 44-year-old said: “Pacquiao at his age [42], which is sad, has to fight. I’m financially set, and I want to make everybody hear this.
“You’re going to hear a lot of people say ‘Floyd needed to do this’, no, I’m well off.
“Every property that I have is paid for, my jet is paid for, all my cars are paid for, I own billion-dollar buildings, I own so much property, I’ve steadily invested in many different things.
“I’m invested in the tech world, I’ve made a lot of smart investments.”
Pacquiao will fight welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr in August.

    PAUL OVER
FLOYD MAYWEATHER has closed the door on a fight with Jake Paul after his clash with the YouTuber’s brother Logan.
The former five-weight world champion went the distance with Logan in their eight-round exhibition in the early hours of the morning.
It was thought Mayweather would make a beeline for Jake after the fight given their scuffle in Miami last month.

    MUPPET SHOW?
We won’t lie, the fun being had on social media by those reacting to this fight is quite amusing. And scarily accurate in parts…

    MAYWEATHER’S POST-FIGHT INTERVIEW

    JAKE WANTS CONOR
The Paul brothers are still not satisfied after this morning’s fight and Jake is eyeing another big name, Conor McGregor.
But apparently the former UFC double-champ is not paying him any attention.

    DID FLOYD HOLD LOGAN UP?
Did Mayweather hold up Paul for eight rounds? Certainly looked like he had him in trouble here.

    MONEY MAY
Mayweather reportedly earned around £72million for the fight last night.
Here is what he had to say about those questioning his legacy for taking the exhibition bout.
“They say, ‘It’s not all about the money.’ Well, your kids can’t eat legacy,” he said.
“The patches on my trunks, [earned me] $30million alone. So who’s really the smartest one in the sport of boxing?
“When it comes to legalised bank robbing, I’m the best.”

‘I’M NOT COMING BACK TO BOXING’
Floyd Mayweather confirmed after his exhibition with Logan Paul that he will not return to boxing.

    HUG IT OUT
Nicola Adams is one boxer who has mocked the style of Paul vs Mayweather, criticising the lack of actual boxing.
But perhaps she is just a little relieved after her promise of giving away a free PS5 to each Twitter follower – if Logan won – did not come to fruition.

    POST-FIGHT INTERVIEW
In case you haven’t seen it already, here is Logan Paul’s post-fight interview.

    JAKE SAYS LOGAN WON
Jake Paul has claimed his brother Logan WON his exhibition bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr.
The elder Paul brother went the distance with the pound-for-pound king in the early hours of the morning in Miami, Florida.
And while almost everyone universally agreed that although there was no official result that Mayweather was the clear winner, Jake did not see it that way.

    CASHING IN
Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul have already made millions, but they’ve got even richer this weekend.
Mayweather has previously said he’s likely to earn around £72million for his bout with Paul.
“I can fight a fighter right now and I can guarantee myself $35million (£25m). I can eventually probably make $50million (£36m) for just a regular fight,” Mayweather said.
“Or me and Logan Paul can go out, entertain, have fun and make nine figures $100million (£72m) or more.”
Meanwhile, Paul told TMZ that he’s likely to make around $20m (£14m) for his huge eight-rounder with Mayweather in Miami.

    FLOYD CLEARLY WON
The fight may have lasted the duration but the stats show there was only one winner, Floyd Mayweather.
A reminder of the figures from the fight clearly acknowledge that the boxing legend got the better of his opponent.
The 44-year-old unsurprisingly outboxed Logan Paul and landed 27.3% more punches than his opponent, via Boxing Scene.

    KS-I’M THE BEST
British YouTuber KSI has bragged he is the ‘best boxer in the world’ after Floyd Mayweather failed to knockout Logan Paul.
The 27-year-old beat his rival in their professional fight in November 2019 after winning via split decision.
But boxing legend Mayweather, 44, could only draw against his American compatriot in their exhibition bout at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
Without a knockout, there was no winner declared, though most observers ringside agreed that Mayweather won the majority of the rounds.
Following the contest, KSI – real name Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji – took to social media to declare himself the best fighter on the planet.
He tweeted: “So…You’re saying I’m now the best boxer in the world?”

    LOGAN’S HAUL
Logan Paul has now, potentially, doubled his yearly intake.
The YouTuber, 26, took on Floyd Mayweather on Sunday – lasting the full eight rounds in their exhibition bout to score an amazing moral victory.
Although Paul was outclassed during the contest, ‘Money Mayweather’ didn’t achieve the knockout many expected him to and even conceded, “He’s better than I thought he was” about his opponent.
Before the fight, it was estimated the YouTube star could earn as much as $20million (£14milion).
That’s roughly the same amount he reportedly earns yearly from his social media exploits, including from YouTube, his Impaulsive podcast and through advertising with the likes of Pepsi and Virgin Mobile.
Incredibly, the social media personality turned boxer once revealed he made £2million from his own merchandise, Maverick Clothing in just three days.
Forget ‘Money Mayweather’, Paul is making his own fortune inside and outside the ring now.

    PAUL A FAST ONE
Boxing fans claim Floyd Mayweather ‘knocked out Logan Paul’ but the iconic superstar ‘held him up’ to keep the fight going.
Mayweather was in control throughout and landed some clean shots, which Paul to his credit was able to withstand.
A counter right hand in round five was the pick of the bunch, as he evaded Paul’s hook and fired back.
It caused the social media star to desperately hold on – but in the eyes of some it was instead Mayweather holding him up to prolong the fight for entertainment purposes.
One Twitter user said: “Floyd Mayweather actually knocked out Logan Paul, but held him up during the fight to carry it through 8 rounds.”
One responded: “They scamming people who paid to watch them.”
    Another commented: “Joke.”
Another, in disagreement, commented: “If this is serious you’re an idiot.. You think floyd could hold him up? Dont be silly.”
Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul – Round by Round
    HUG IT OUT
Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul’s exhibition bout was blasted ‘the worst fight of all time’ and ‘battle of the cuddles’.
Safety first tactics saw Paul avoid the KO defeat many predicted, though fans were left fuming.
One said: “I really just watched a 8 round hugging match for 30 mins.”
Another said: “They robbed everyone in the arena and on PPV. Worst fight ever.”
One, posting a video of Mayweather promising a KO, posted: “Battle Of The Cuddles.”

    LOG OFF
Johnny Nelson said Floyd Mayweather had a ‘reality check’ and his ‘pride dented’ against Logan Paul and will NOT fight the brother Jake.
Nelson said it is a sign the boxing legend should hang up the gloves for good having been unable to stop his much larger yet inexperienced opponent.
And he reckons Mayweather will avoid a fight with Logan’s younger brother Jake, who is 3-0 all by knockout in his own career.
Nelson, 54, said on Sky Box Office: “I don’t think Floyd would.
“I think he’s had a reality check today, saying, ‘You know what, I’ve rinsed this as much as I can’
“I think probably his pride’s been dented a little bit by not getting rid of him.
“I’m quite sure he’d love to be able to close the show tonight but he just couldn’t close it how he wanted to.”

    ‘MAVERICK’
Logan Paul proved he wasn’t nervous as he even joked about by wearing a £100,000 Pokemon card while entering the ring.
Though it is fair to say Mayweather took it equally seriously by wearing an ‘Only Fans’ cap in his ringwalk.
One thing’s for sure, it will be interesting to see what the pair have up their sleeve next if Paul vs Mayweather 2 happens.

    ‘I NEVER GOT NERVOUS’
Logan Paul was as brash as ever in his post-match press conference, and who can blame him after going eight rounds with Floyd Mayweather.
Here is what he had to say on how he felt moments before the fight began: “I was waiting to get nervous, and never did…scares me.
“Makes me question my humanity. I asked Milton and Jeff, when am I going to get nervous, when is my heart going to star beating fast…it never did. I’ve got to get checked out.”

    ‘NO CHANCE’
Logan’s success was all down to WWE superstar Sami Zayn says…Sami Zayn.
Way to toot your own horn.
I’ll say this, @LoganPaul no doubt worked his ass off and proved a lot of people wrong, but if he never meets Sami Zayn, he never realigns his perspective, and no chance he goes 8 rounds with Floyd Mayweather. I’m glad to have played my part in this historic bout.#FloydvsLogan— Sami Zayn (@SamiZayn) June 7, 2021

    HAVE YOUR SAY
It was a tighter contest than many would have anticipated and there are plenty of people who’d like to see a repeat of this contest to establish a definitive winner. What do YOU think?

Euro 2020 LIVE: Deschamps fires back at Mourinho after France jibe, England vs Romania REACTION, De Bruyne WILL be fit

ENGLAND scraped past Romania to record another victory ahead of Euro 2020.Elsewhere, France boss Didier Deschamps has responded after Jose Mourinho piled the pressure on his talented side.
And Kevin De Bruyne is set to feature in the Euros despite undergoing surgery on a facial injury sustained in the Champions League final.

Follow all of the latest news, build up and updates below…
    LUK OUT
World number one Belgium sent out a warning they will be a major power at the Euros, with convincing victory in their final warm up game.
And it was Romelu Lukaku who set them on course for victory over England’s opponents Croatia, with his 60th goal for his country in just his 93rd appearance.
Lukaku was the star as Belgian boss Roberto Martinez made changes to his side in the absence of Kevin de Bruyne and Eden Hazard. The former Manchester United striker scored a fine goal, and also hit the bar.
He was too hot to handle for Croatia, the opponents England will face in their first match of the Championships in a week’s time.
And there was little to worry national team boss Gareth Southgate, as the Croats created nothing, and didn’t even manage a shot on target until the 77th minute in a game where they took off leader Luca Modric after just an hour.
    CRO BARRED
England have received a fitness boost in the form of Harry Maguire, who is back running following an ankle ligament injury.
Maguire’s progressing well – the last few days have been very positive.
Gareth Southgate said: “There’s still a little bit of work to be done, but he’s definitely heading in the right direction and we’re very pleased with the progress over the last few days in particular.”
And touching on Jordan Henderson’s situation, the England boss added: “It’s a step forward for Jordan physically , which was important in order for him to be able to play some sort of part in the tournament.”

    SERGI-OH NO
Spain’s Euro 2020 preparations have been hit after captain Sergio Busquets tested positive for coronavirus on Sunday.
The Barcelona midfielder led the team in a friendly against Portugal on Friday but contracted the virus over the weekend and will now enter a period of self-isolation.
The rest of the squad all tested negative, but the players and staff who were in close contact with the 32-year-old must also quarantine.
Their first game will still go ahead, but under-21s manager Luis De la Fuente will take charge and use players from his squad.
A statement from Royal Spanish Football Federation read: ‘The RFEF regrets to announce that its captain Sergio Busquets has given a positive result in the last PCR test that was carried out this morning on the national team in Las Rozas.
“The rest of the members have all tested negative.”
    ‘THEY WILL FIGHT’
Ukraine provoked Russia’s ire on Sunday as its football federation unveiled Euro 2020 kits that feature Russian-annexed Crimea and nationalist slogans.
In a statement on Facebook, Andriy Pavelko, the president of the Football Federation of Ukraine, said that Ukrainian players will wear “special uniforms” and posted photos of the jerseys in the blue-and-yellow colours of the Ukrainian flag.
The uniforms feature the silhouette of Ukraine that includes Russia-annexed Crimea and the separatist-controlled regions of Donetsk and Lugansk as well as the words “Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes!”
Pavelko said: “We believe that Ukraine’s silhouette will give strength to the players because they will fight for all of Ukraine.”
The “Glory to Ukraine” slogan is a patriotic chant that became a rallying cry for protesters who ousted a Kremlin-backed leader, Viktor Yanukovych, during a popular uprising in 2014.

    ‘EVERYBODY IS FIGHTING’
Head coach Steve Clarke says he has “selection headaches all over the pitch” for Euro 2020 after Scotland’s successful warm-up matches.
Clarke’s side followed up the 2-2 draw with the Netherlands by winning 1-0 at 10-man Luxembourg eight days before the Group D opener against Czech Republic.
Only the self-isolating John Fleck and third-choice goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin did not feature in either friendly.
Clarke said: “All the players have to be in your thoughts.
“It’s about fine-tuning towards certain opponents. Different opponents will require different personnel.
“The boys who played in midfield against Holland were really good. Different midfield tonight and I have headaches all over the pitch.
“Everybody is fighting and with a viable chance of being involved in the three games.
“I’ve lots to think about and that’s what you want as head coach. Everyone has to be ready.”
    ‘WHAT AN HONOUR’
Marcus Rashford has described the feeling of captaining England for the first time as ‘unexplainable’.

    SCOTLAND INJURY UPDATE
Scotland manager Steve Clarke revealed he only took Billy Gilmour off as a precaution after he was flattened by Luxembourg’s Olivier Thill.
The Chelsea youngster came on for the second half of the final Euro 2020 warm-up game and was impressing before being on the wrong end of the crude challenge.
Clarke told Sky Sports: “We took him off as a precaution, the medics will assess him but he seemed fine when he was off the pitch.
“He was disappointed to be off but (we’ll be) ultra-cautious and the medics will assess him.
“But everything looks OK for now.”
    NO JOY FOR ROY
Roy Keane has claimed Jadon Sancho needs to improve his end product to force his way into the England team.
The Borussia Dortmund winger was included in the 26-man squad but it remains to be seen whether the 21-year-old will feature from the start for England amid a wealth of options at Gareth Southgate’s disposal.
He was given a chance to shine in England’s final warm-up game against Romania on Sunday, but struggled to inspire his side as they failed to score during his 64 minutes of action, although he did strike the bar with a curling effort.
Speaking about Sancho, Keane said: “A big question mark for any young player is his end product.
“He showed some nice touches but needs to be a little bit more to force his way into the England team.
“When he’s in a wide position his job is to go past people. He needs to do a bit more – the same for Grealish, the same for Rashford.”
    ROM FOR ONE MORE
England’s first half with Romania was halted after a topless pitch invader gave the fans something to cheer.
In an opening drab 45 minutes, viewers joked that the culprit provided the best entertainment of the match so far.
With stewards chasing him down, the man ran for around 50-yards before he was eventually caught and escorted out.
Supporters, who had little to cheer up until that moment, greeted his arrival on the field with a rendition of ‘you fat b******’.
ITV commentators were then forced to apologise to viewers watching at home for the language from fans.

    CHAMPS OR CHUMPS
Didier Deschamps aimed a cheeky jibe at Jose Mourinho after the ex-Spurs boss piled the pressure on his talented French side.
Mourinho, 58, exclusively told SunSport how anything but a Euros triumph would be deemed a failure for the world champions.
But Deschamps was eager to downplay expectations for his group of star-studded internationals and couldn’t resist a dig at Mourinho’s spell as Tottenham boss.
He told Telefoot: “I thought the same thing about his Tottenham team, but it did not end up happening like that.
“Yes, we are favorites due to the status of world champions.
“It is not a pressure, it is the reality, we will not flee the debate on the presence of France among the favourites of this Euro.”

    KEANE BLASTING
Roy Keane is amongst those who are skeptical about Gareth Southgate’s decision to call up Jordan Henderson, due to the Liverpool captain’s injury concerns,
In fact, during the pre-game build-up to England’s friendly against Romania, Keane gave a typically cutting response on the decision to bring Henderson along despite his injury woes.
He said during ITV’s coverage of England vs Romania: “Clearly Jordan’s not fit – I don’t think he should be involved.
“I’ve heard people say they want him around the place – for what? Does he do card tricks? Does he have a sing song? Does he do quizzes in the evenings?”
    BOO BOYS BORE AGAIN
Several brain-dead ‘fans’ booed again as England’s players took the knee ahead of the Three Lions’ friendly with Romania.
Gareth Southgate and several members of his squad made it quite clear in the build up why they were kneeling and how disappointed they were to hear the jeers ahead of the Austria game.
But that did nothing to sway a handful of mindless individuals as the players knelt to raise awareness of racial injustice and NOT in support of any political movement as some have tried to suggest.
Fortunately, the boos were quickly drowned out by a loud wave of applause from the vast majority of the crowd at Middlebrough’s Riverside stadium.
Two of Romania’s players – Ionuț Nedelcearu and Nicolae Stanciu – chose to remain standing as the players dropped to one knee.

    EYE CARAMBA
Kevin De Bruyne will be fit to play for Belgium at Euro 2020, according to boss Roberto Martinez.
The attacking midfielder’s participation looked doubtful, after being forced off in the Champions League final having been body checked by Antonio Rudiger.
De Bruyne, 29, suffered an orbital fracture to his left eye socket and was in tears as he exited the pitch.
Martinez, 47, said: “After looking at the images it was decided that Kevin had to undergo a small operation.
“The operation took place this morning and it went well. He will join the group on Monday and will be with us for the Euros.
“It was a necessary intervention to secure the structure of the eye socket in the long term.
“It is not an operation that requires a long recovery, it was just to make sure that there are no issues later down the line.”

    ‘I’M SORRY’
Romania legend Gheorghe Hagi says their famous win over England at Euro 2000 was tinged with sadness – because it meant knocking out his idol Kevin Keegan.
The Three Lions went home after losing their final group game in Charleroi, Belgium, to cap a wretched tournament.
He said: “It’s hard to say who was the best player in that England team because they didn’t get near their potential.
“England always had sensational teams and I really liked Alan Shearer.
“In both 1998 (World Cup) and 2000 England could have won the competition but they didn’t reach their potential.
“I’m sorry, especially since Kevin Keegan was one of my idols.
“But a victory over England gives you such prestige and after that everybody respected us.”

    I’M THE ENGLAND MAN
England strike ace Dominic Calvert-Lewin revealed his dad celebrated his Euros call-up by blasting out the John Barnes rap.
Calvert-Lewin is ready to make an impact for the Three Lions as Harry Kane’s understudy – and is starting today’s friendly against Romania with the captain rested.
When the Everton hitman got the nod he was in the squad, dad Karlda could not wait to belt out the lyrics of Barnes’ famous solo in 1990 World Cup song World in Motion by New Order.
Calvert- Lewin said: “I was waiting on Tuesday to get the official announcement to know I was in the squad and my dad FaceTimed me and started singing the John Barnes tune.
“He’s rubbish but it’s quite funny and I expect nothing less from him, that’s the kind of relationship we’ve got. So I was laughing at that.
“My family have always been a part of my journey.”

    BOO BOYS
England vs Romania kicks off shortly so let’s take a look at the debate surrounding the players’ decision to take the knee.
Gareth Southgate shared his thoughts earlier today: “We feel, more than ever, we are determined to take the knee throughout the tournament.
“We accept there might be an adverse reaction but we’re going to ignore it and move forward. We are all trying to move towards equality — and support our team-mates because of some of the experiences they’ve been through — but people decided to boo.
“The players are sick of talking about all the consequences of should they, shouldn’t they. They’ve had enough really.”
Gary Lineker condemned the booers on Twitter: “If you boo England players for taking the knee, you’re part of the reason why players are taking the knee.”
Piers Morgan also chimed in, saying: “I wonder if those England fans booing players for taking the knee to protest racial injustice know the idea came from ⁦Nate Boyer, a US Green Beret war hero who suggested it to NFL star ⁦Colin Kaepernick as a more respectful way to make his point.”

    TOO GOOD TO BE ROO
Wayne Rooney has THREE major concerns for Gareth Southgate’s England team heading into Euro 2020.
England’s record goalscorer has doubts over the team’s experience at a major tournament, potential complacency, and injuries to key players such as Harry Maguire and Jordan Henderson.
Speaking in his column for The Times, Rooney said: “One of the doubts I have about England is that they’re a young squad, who lack knowhow.
“I also worry that complacency could creep in, because England’s group is not as straightforward as people seem to think.
“Croatia beat England in 2018 and have tournament knowledge and some very good, experienced players. Scotland will be tough, compact and difficult to beat.
“For England, qualifying might even come down to the last group match against Czech Republic.
“It is so important that Harry Maguire and Jordan Henderson are fit because along with Harry Kane they form the backbone of the side, the ones who others on the pitch will look to for leadership.
“If Maguire and Henderson aren’t ready for the first game, things could get tricky for England because it’s hard for a player to get up to speed once a tournament is under way.”

    MOVE DUM-ED
Liverpool star and Netherlands international Georginio Wijnaldum has rejected a move to Barcelona and will join Paris Saint-Germain instead.
That is according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who claims that Wijnaldum will sign a three-year contract after Euro 2020 and will make more than double compared to what Barca offered.
Romano posted: “Georginio Wijnaldum has decided to join Paris Saint-Germain.
“Barcelona have NO intention to raise their bid after they agreement ready by 2 weeks and medicals planned.
“Gini is now set to accept PSG proposal until 2024 with salary more than doubled [compared to Barça bid]”

    RASHFORD UPDATE
Manchester United ace Marcus Rashford is set to undergo surgery after the summer’s delayed Euro 2020 competition.
Rashford has sustained shoulder as well as foot injuries and United have agreed to let him play for the Three Lions.
According to the Daily Mirror, the striker is set to go under the knife as soon as England’s involvement in the competition comes to an end.
The 23-year-old, who will get an operation on his foot, is then facing a race against time to be fit for the new Premier League campaign
    KANT DENY IT
Manchester United superstar Paul Pogba claims Chelsea star and France team-mate N’Golo Kante deserves the Ballon d’Or ahead of Euro 2020.
Pogba told Eurosport: “What I would like to say to the whole world is that the ‘NG’ we have seen in recent months has always been the same.
“We talk a lot about his performances but he has always been as good as ever.
“There was no Cristiano [Ronaldo] and [Lionel] Messi in the semi-final, so it’s good to see the performances of the midfielders or even the defenders.
“I said a long time ago that it would be appropriate, if Chelsea won, for him to win the Ballon d’Or. It would be deserved too”
    RAMSEY UPDATE
Wales manager Rob Page has played down any injury concerns over Juventus star Aaron Ramsey ahead of the summer’s delayed Euro 2020 competition.
Former Arsenal ace Ramsey took a heavy knock following a challenge with Albania international Ardian Ismajli during a hard-fought 0-0 draw.
But Page isn’t worried about the midfielder’s fitness as he claims it was only a kick in the shin.
The Wales boss said: “It was a kick to the shin which is the best case scenario for us. You don’t want him to jar his knee or twist his ankle, but there was none of that.
“It would have hurt him initially. When I said to him ‘you’ve got another 13 minutes then I’m bringing you off’, he said he was fine.
“But we’ve got to manage the minutes, take the emotions out of the game. It would have been lovely to keep him on, but we don’t want to push him too far”

    YOUNG BLOOD
England boss Gareth Southgate has faith in his young talent ahead of the summer’s delayed Euro 2020.
Southgate has included a number of youngsters to his squad and trusts them as they already have 10 caps under their belt.
The Three Lions boss said: “Some of them have 10 caps or more at a young age.
“In the long term that will be really beneficial.”
    SANCHO WAR
Chelsea are delaying their decision on whether they will join Manchester United in the transfer war for Borussia Dortmund star winger Jadon Sancho.
That is according to the Daily Express, who claim the Blues may try to swoop in for Sancho in the summer transfer window.
United are holding talks with Dortmund as well as the 21-year-old’s representatives and the Red Devils appear to be firmly at the front of the queue for his signature.
The west Londoners could provide competition but manager Thomas Tuchel is yet to decide on whether he believes the England international is needed, given his options up front
    SAKA INJURED
Arsenal ace Bukayo Saka is set to miss England’s friendly with Romania tonigh.
That is according to The Athletic, who claim Saka suffered a recent hip injury.
The star winger netted his first goal for the Three Lions on Wednesday’s friendly game against Austria.
However, there is no indication that the 19-year-old ace could miss Euro 2020
    BERN-ING QUESTION
Arsenal have been linked with a move for Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana, depending on what the courts decide about his suspension.
This begs the question about whether starting keeper Bernd Leno will leave the Gunners in the summer transfer window.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, there are numerous teams interested for the German shot-stopper.
Leno, however, is currently focused on the summer’s Euro 2020 as he prepares with the Germany national team

    READY TO GO
Belgium are ready to go and they face Russia on June 12 at 8pm!

    FT: BELGIUM 1-0 CROATIA
A rather passive second half of football with lots of substitutions as expected.
Lukaku went close for Belgium towards the end, but he was brilliantly denied by Livakovic.
And Brekalo went close for the visitors right at the end, but Courtois was equal to the shot.
Belgium are heading into the Euros off the back of a win!
    PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!
THE FULL-TIME WHISTLE GOES AT THE KING BAUDOUIN STADIUM!
BELGIUM ARE HEADING INTO EURO 2020 OFF THE BACK OF A WIN!
    BELGIUM 1-0 CROATIA
    90+1. SAVE!
Orsic races away down the left-hand side, gets to the byline and cuts the ball back towards the edge of the penalty area.
Brekalo closes the ball down and connects with the ball well, sending a powerful shot towards goal – but Courtois saves!
    BELGIUM 1-0 CROATIA
    90. The fourth official holds his board up and there will be two additional minutes added on.
    BELGIUM 1-0 CROATIA
    87. CHANCE!
Vanaken gets to the byline and hangs a wonderful cross up at the far post.
Lukaku gets up well to meet the cross and sends a powerful header towards goal, but Livakovic somehow saves!
The goal-scorer tries to tap home the rebound, but the goalkeeper pounces on the loose ball.
So, so close to a second!
    BELGIUM 1-0 CROATIA
    85. Doku does well to exploit some space down the right flank and deliver a low cross into the penalty area.
But his cross takes a slight deflection off Caleta-Car and Vida mops up for Croatia.
    BELGIUM 1-0 CROATIA
    83. Brozovic is teed up on the edge of Belgium’s penalty area, but he snatches at the shot and sends the ball sailing comfortably over the crossbar.
Really, really poor showing in front of goal by the visitors.
    BELGIUM 1-0 CROATIA
    81. DOUBLE SUBSTITUTION!
Doku – rising star – is coming on for Atletico Madrid’s Carrasco, and Hazard is on for Dendoncker.
    BELGIUM 1-0 CROATIA
    80. SUBSTITUTION!
    Orsic is on for Perisic.
    BELGIUM 1-0 CROATIA
    79. Carrasco delivers a good free-kick towards the far post and Vermaelen does well to get up at the back post and head the ball across the face of goal.
But Croatia do well to get to the second ball and thump the danger clear.
It looks like Orsic is coming on for the visitors too.
    BELGIUM 1-0 CROATIA
    77. It’s been an incredibly slow second half of football and it’s not at all surprising.
Neither side want to go all out and possibly risk injuries which would be disastrous before the tournament.
    BELGIUM 1-0 CROATIA
    75. Some intricate play down the left-hand side releases Carrasco.
And the winger manages to get to the byline and cut the ball back towards the edge of the box.
But Caleta-Car gets to the ball first and the danger is swept clear.

    BELGIUM 1-0 CROATIA
    73. Hazard is greeted by Vrsaljko and the Atletico Madrid right-back clatters into him.
A nice warm welcome to the match!
    BELGIUM 1-0 CROATIA
    71. Tielemans concedes a free-kick in a promising position inside Croatia’s half, bringing down Brozovic.
    BELGIUM 1-0 CROATIA
    69. SUBSTITUTION!
Brekalo replaces Petkovic in attack, Croatia are experimenting with their front line.
And for Belgium, Thorgan Hazard comes on for Chadli.
    BELGIUM 1-0 CROATIA
    67. SUBSTITUTION!
Mertens’ relatively quiet night comes to an end and he is replaced by Vanaken.
It looks like Thorgan Hazard will be introduced shortly too. No sign of Eden Hazard, though.
    BELGIUM 1-0 CROATIA
    66. Chadli tries to play his way out of trouble close to the touchline but he runs the ball out of play.
    BELGIUM 1-0 CROATIA
    64. There’s no real flow in the second half and it looks like there will be more substitutions shortly.
Belgium are preparing one or two changes.
    Credit: GETTY IMAGES
    BELGIUM 1-0 CROATIA
    62. Croatia are keeping hold of the ball well, but they’re failing to land a glove on Belgium.
They’re struggling to create goal-scoring opportunities for Petkovic.
    BELGIUM 1-0 CROATIA
    60. TRIPLE SUBSTITUTION!
Croatia make a triple substitution with Kovacic, Modric and Rebic coming off for Kramaric, Pasalic and Vlasic.
    BELGIUM 1-0 CROATIA
    59. Lukaku shrugs off the challenge of Vida and races clear of Perisic in the midfield.
The goal scorer then lays the ball wide to Atletico’s Carrasco.
Carrasco tries to play a delicate pass back into Lukaku but Livakovic gathers.
