    KANE REACTION
Tottenham star striker, and Manchester United target, Harry Kane has previously insisted he doesn’t let any transfer speculation shift his attention away from England and Euro 2020.
    Kane previously stated: “Absolutely not.
“All my focus is on how I can help this team and how we can be successful in this tournament.
“I understand from a media point of view there is speculation, but I am fully focused on the job here”
    KANE DO THAT
Tottenham are set to reject Manchester City’s whopping £100million offer for star striker Harry Kane, who has also been linked with Manchester United.
City are determined to sign Kane in the summer transfer window and are even willing to swap a few players, such as Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Aymeric Laporte.
According to The Guardian, however, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is determined to keep the England captain, who has three years left in his deal.
Kane has informed the north Londoners he wishes to leave in the summer and has also been linked with Chelsea
    EURO STARS
Gareth Southgate is set to stick with what he knows when England play Czech Republic tomorrow.
Despite calls for Jack Grealish and Jadon Sancho to be involved, Southgate is instead likely to keep faith with the same group that drew 0-0 with Scotland and barely beat Croatia 1-0.
Indeed, the only changes that are set to be made are full-backs Luke Shaw and Reece James dropping out for Kieran Trippier and Kyle Walker again.

    CITIZEN KANE
Man City have launched a £100MILLION cash bid for Tottenham striker and Man United target Harry Kane, according to reports.
It is believed the Premier League champions are willing to include one or more players in the deal, including England star Raheem Sterling.
According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, City have offered Spurs £100m ‘guaranteed’ for Kane, 27.
City are also reportedly willing to include players in the deal, with Sterling, Aymeric Laporte and Gabriel Jesus among those rumoured.
It is understood Tottenham chief Daniel Levy will not accept City’s offer – and Kane’s future will not be decided until after Euro 2020.

    MOUR’S SERG
Jose Mourinho is reportedly looking to usurp his old club Manchester United and sign his former Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos for Roma, writes GARY STONEHOUSE.
The legendary Spanish centre-half will leave the Bernabeu after an epic 16-year stint at the end of the month when his contract expires.
Ramos, 35, is believed to want a two-year contract worth £200,000-a-week as he plots his next move.
Those demands saw both Man City and Paris Saint-Germain drop out of the race to sign him.
And with Ramos already ruling out a return to Sevilla and a controversial Barcelona switch, United appeared to be his biggest and best option this summer as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looked to partner him with captain Harry Maguire.
However, Calciomercato claims new Roma boss Mourinho wants to bring the defender to the Italian capital.

    ONE TO WATCH
Italian defender has revealed that he enjoys watching tricky Man Utd defender Dan James.
Chiellini, who missed yesterday’s game against Wales, revealed before kick-off in an interview that James is someone he likes to watch.
Speaking to ITV, he said: “I love Aaron Ramsey, we play together, he’s a fantastic player, a little bit unlucky with many injuries,” the veteran told ITV.
“But when he is fit, he is an intelligent and fantastic player.
“Bale… He is known by everyone.
“Also, I like very much James, he has grown up so much at Manchester United.”
    WILLIAMS TO BE LOANED OUT
Brandon Williams is set to be loaned out this season, according to BBC journalist Simon Stone.
The Man Utd left-back was being tracked by the likes of Southampton last year.
But boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer opted to keep him instead.

    ‘DISINTERESTED’
Former Republic of Ireland forward Tony Cascarino has said that Bruno Fernandes looked ‘disinterested’ in Portugal’s game against Germany.
Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: “By the way, Fernandes… I’ve not a seen a performance like that for a long time in an international line-up. He looked disinterested completely.
“I don’t know for what reason, it’s not like Fernandes had a bad game, he gave away the ball and made passes, he just had no impact on the game at all.
“He looked like he was disinterested in grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck, he had no interest at all.”

    TOP POG
Manchester United plan to make Paul Pogba the highest-paid player in the Premier League with a new £104MILLION deal, writes DANIEL CUTTS.
The France star, 28, is going into the final 12 months of his contract and United are willing to offer him a staggering £400,000 a week over the next five years.
The Red Devils are desperate to keep midfielder Pogba and do not want him to go into the new season without him tied down.
Old Trafford chiefs are now set to put the bumper new terms on the table – a huge increase on his current £290,000-a-week salary.

    SANCHO LATEST
Man Utd have made an improved bid believed to be worth more than £75million for Jadon Sancho, according to reports.
Sky Sports are reporting that the structure of the deal will see Man Utd pay more money up front.
The original bid was believed to be in the region of £67m up front with rightly £8m in add-ons.
Borussia Dortmund are considering the offer, but reports in Germany suggest they value him in excess of £80m.
    RED DEVIL’S WISH LIST
Man Utd are keen on Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane and Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho.

    MAN UTD TRANSFER NEWS
New speculation over Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos has been overshadowed by talk of making Paul Pogba the Premier League’s highest-paid player.
France midfielder Pogba could land a £104MILLION deal – £400,000 a week over the next five years.
United are desperate to keep the 28-year-old as he enters the last 12 months of his contract
Reports earlier had suggested Old Trafford chiefs are prepared to consider a part-exchange deal involving Pogba and his Euro 2020 team-mate Varane.
Varane is rated United’s preferred option as a new central defender to partner skipper Harry Maguire.
And it’s also claimed Varane’s Real Madrid side-kick Sergio Ramos, 35, is another alternative – especially as Prem champs City have reportedly rejected signing the legend.
Finally, it’s claimed United are willing to sell left-back Alex Telles to fund a move for Atletico Madrid defender Kieran Trippier.
United are already thought to have had a £10m bid rejected for the versatile England ace.
‘UTD & LIVERPOOL WERE SUPER LEAGUE DRIVING FORCES’
Barcelona chief Joan Laporta claims Manchester United and Liverpool were the ‘real founders’ of the controversial European Super League.
The football world was stunned in April when 12 of the continent’s top clubs – including the Premier League’s ‘Big Six’ – announced they were forming a breakaway division.
The closed-shop project would have replaced the Champions League and guaranteed annual participation for its ‘Dirty Dozen’ founders.
However, a furious fan backlash prompted nine members to swiftly withdraw, leaving just Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus in the ESL.
But despite looking like one of the main guilty parties, Barcelona president Laporta insists that English giants United and Liverpool were the original orchestrators of the ESL.
Laporta claimed: “Liverpool and United were the real founders of the Super League.
“Uefa threatened and was demagogic. The clubs have still not paid the compensation for leaving.
“The Super League project is alive. It will be the most attractive competition in the world, and it will be based on meritocracy and solidarity.”
    ENGLAND’S ‘YIKES!’ TO DYKES
Scotland hardman Lyndon Dykes claims England did not like it up ’em when they collided at Wembley on Friday night.
The Aussie-born striker made his intentions clear right from the off when he clattered Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw in the first minute of the cross-border clash.
And England’s spiky reaction to the physical approach left Dykes convinced he had rattled Gareth Southgate’s men.
He said: “It set the tone when I smashed into Shaw and I think that a few of the boys from the England team didn’t really want it.
“It was right from the kick-off and it was up to me to win the first challenge and I’ve taken him out as well, so it was a good start for us.
“It wasn’t deliberate but I caught him with my knee on his leg and I knew he didn’t like it.
“Shaw didn’t say anything but the referee tried to make me say sorry after I’d got him.
“The ref had actually pulled me in the warm-up before the game had even started and tried to warn me about my headers and stuff.
“But if the ball is there to be won I’m going to challenge for it and that’s what I did.”
UTD TO RESIST POGBA EXIT WITH HUGE PAY OFFER
Manchester United plan to make Paul Pogba the highest-paid player in the Premier League with a new £104MILLION deal.
His new pay packet would eclipse the £375k a week which United team-mate David de Gea earns.
United will wait until after the Euros with France, before finalising the structure of his new terms.
Pogba has been in talks with agent Mino Raiola over the last year on what his plans are for the future.
He could demand huge wages and a hefty signing on fee if he was to become a free transfer next summer.
The £89m superstar revealed earlier this week no agreement had been settled with United yet. But SunSport understands that could not be far away, and the early noises between both camps have been positive.
    ‘POGBA FOR VARANE SWAP TALK’
Manchester United are prepared to offer Paul Pogba to Real Madrid in exchange for Raphael Varane, according to reports.
The France defender, 28, has been on United’s radar for some time and is said to be one of the club’s top targets this summer.
Previous managers Sir Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho both wanted to bring Varane to Old Trafford.
Ed Woodward was even prepared to spend £100million on the defender in 2018, but never came close to striking a deal.
But Varane now reportedly prefers a move to United over PSG, and his representatives are keen to hold a meeting with the Red Devils.
And according to AS, via the Express, United could offer up Pogba in order to get a deal over the line.
United fear Pogba will not agree a new contract and leave on a free next summer.
The club had previously placed a £150million asking price on the midfielder to ward off interest from Juventus and Real Madrid.
Talks opened over a new contract for Pogba earlier this month, while the Italian press claim a swap deal involving Cristiano Ronaldo is also on the cards.
ROONEY MISSES ULTIMATE UTD TOURNAMENT XI
Manchester United stars have shone on the international stage down the years.
Ryan Giggs may have never made it to a tournament with Wales, but plenty of other United greats have.

The Red Devils are well represented once again at Euro 2020, with the likes of Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford hoping to sprinkle their stardust on the biggest stage.
Prior to the tournament, United themselves compiled an XI of players that have thrived for their countries while turning out for the Red Devils.
There’s no place for the likes of Wayne Rooney or Paul Scholes – so let’s take a look at who DID make their cut.

    STILL NOT BLUE
Cesar Azpilicueta hopes Spain can do a Chelsea by turning their dreadful campaign around to become kings of Europe.
La Roja must win their final Group E crunch against Slovakia here tomorrow to guarantee their place in the last 16.
Yet they have already been written off by many – including a large number of their own fans – after drawing both of their opening two games at home to Sweden and Poland.
It is the first time Spain have failed to win either of their two opening matches at a Euros since 1996.
That has left them third in their table and facing an embarrassing early exit.
But Stamford Bridge ace Azpi is urging his country to take heart from his club after helping them to Champions League glory last month.
He said: “Many people thought the same during the season with Chelsea. Many thought we were dead during the season.
“You learn from that, that’s the lesson, you have to keep fighting until the final.
“We have a very clear objective and we are not going to give up.”
Azpilicueta delivered his country’s much-needed rally cry at their Madrid training camp yesterday.
When it was pointed out to him that three-times winners Spain were no longer favourites to progress to the next stage let alone lift the trophy, the defender snapped: “Favourites? Portugal were not favourites in 2016 and they won it. We have advanced to the latter stages of tournaments after difficult starts. Now we have a chance to get through.
“If we win we will be in the last 16 and we have a challenge. Nobody wins the Euros before you start. It’s not about how you start, it’s about how you finish.
“I experienced that this year in the Champions League. This team has the potential to face up to this challenge
“Of course we know we have to improve things. The Slovakia game is like a knockout game.
“I am convinced that if we are all together, including the fans, we will go through.”
Spain stars were booed off by their own followers after their opening stalemate with Sweden on Monday and their 1-1 draw with Poland on Saturday.
Azpilicueta admitted: “We are the first to say that we would love to be closer to the fans. We have always thanked the fans for their support from the pitch.
“Because of the Covid we have been further away but the link between us and the fans is there and we know that we have to give the fans something back now.”
Asked if he had a message for the fans, he said: “To give messages out here matters little. We have to give them out on the pitch.
“What is unnegotiable is the strength and attitude. I hope that when the match finishes on Wednesday we are all happy.”
Azpilicueta, 28, is yet to kick a ball at this tournament, with Spain boss Luis Enrique preferring to play Atletico Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente at right-back.
The Blues defender said: “I came here with the objective of supporting the team the best that I could.
“I prepare myself to the best of my ability, so that I am ready to play, just like everyone does.
“We have a staff who decide what the team is and I have been supporting the team from the bench.
“Marcos is playing at an incredible level. He can play in many positions and he is in great form. From my position I try to help him.
“The 24 players train to play but the manager picks the team. We all have the desire to play. I can only train better”
    KANE DO THAT
Tottenham are set to reject Manchester City’s whopping £100million offer for England star striker Harry Kane.
City are determined to sign Kane in the summer and are even willing to swap a few players, with the likes of Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Aymeric Laporte already linked with a move to north London.
According to The Guardian, however, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is determined to keep the Three Lions captain, who has three years left in his contract.
Kane has informed the north Londoners he wishes to leave in the summer transfer window and has also been linked with Chelsea as well as Manchester United

Man City have launched a £100MILLION cash bid for Tottenham striker and England captain Harry Kane, according to reports.
It is believed the Premier League champions are willing to include one or more players in the deal, including Raheem Sterling.
According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, City have offered Spurs £100m ‘guaranteed’ for Kane, 27.

    HAIR TO THE THRONE
England’s stars have promised to copy Phil Foden’s Gazza-inspired blonde haircut if they win Euro 2020, writes GARY STONEHOUSE.
It was 25 years ago when Paul Gascoigne scored one of England’s most memorable goals against Scotland in the country’s epic run to the Euro 96 semi-finals.
The 21-year-old Manchester City star drew comparisons with the Three Lions legend when he dyed his hair before this summer’s tournament.
Following the opening day 1-0 win over Croatia, Foden maintained the look for Friday’s frustrating stalemate against the Tartan Army at Wembley.
Now Foden has revealed the England squad will copy his blonde cut if they end their 55-year wait for a major trophy.
He told talkSPORT: “I told the team that if we win it they have to get the same haircut as me and they all agreed.
“Hopefully if we win it you will see everyone with the same haircut, I think Romania did it so I would make everyone, which would be funny.
“To be honest, it was my own thing and then I saw people turn it into something else and I jumped on it like everyone else would.
“I decided to change it up and called the barber and I’ve liked it ever since.
“I had another cut the other day to make it lighter.”

Foda is expected to go with a full strength side, although David Alaba, Daniel Bachmann and Stefan Lainer are all a yellow card away from a ban.
Ukraine stars Mykola Shaparenko and Serhiy Sydorchuk are also at risk of suspension, but Shevchenko must treat the game as a knock-out and pick his strongest team.

    LIFE WITH ENGLAND
Raheem Sterling is enjoying his time away with England and has ‘enjoying’ his football.
He said: “It is just happiness, just being happy, enjoying my football and that is what I am doing being here with the national team.
“If you’re not playing, you’re not happy.
“That’s me, that’s been me since I was a kid, if I’m playing football I am really happy, if I’m not I’m not happy.”

    ROUTE TO THE FINAL
England are sat second in the group, level on points with the Czech Republic – but behind on goal difference.
Qualification for the knockout stages looks a real possibility for Gareth Southgate’s side.

    COURTOIS’ THOUGHTS
Belgium’s Thibaut Courtois sees winning the group as ‘prestigious’.
He said: “It’s prestigious to win the group, so that is something we are definitely going for.
“Sure, the next phase might be easier if you’re not the group winner, but in football there can always be surprises.
“At the World Cup we seemed to have a tougher time against Japan than against Brazil.
“You can’t try to calculate these things, you just always have to play to win.”
    TEAM NEWS: RUSSIA VS DENMARK
Both teams are expected to play their strongest teams as they search for three points, writes THOMAS BLOW.

    FINLAND TEAM GUIDE
Finland need to get something out of tonight’s game against Belgium to stand a chance of progressing into the Round of 16.

    ROCK SOLID
Luke Shaw is the strongest player in the England squad, according to team-mate Reece James.
In an interview with the FA’s Lion’s Den YouTube channel, James was asked who would win in a strength test.

    FERDINAND BACKS STERLING
Man Utd and England legend Rio Ferdinand has backed Raheem Sterling to shine at Euro 2020.
In his BBC column, he said: “I’ve got to know Raheem Sterling pretty well in the past few months and I speak to him quite a lot.
“He’s a good guy and an impressive person, as well as an excellent player.
“I’m proud of who he’s become off the pitch, and you have to admire how he’s always worked so hard and looked at ways he can improve on it.
“I get the sense that playing for England this summer can be a bit of a release for him after a difficult end to his club season, and he 100% would have felt like that after his winning goal against Croatia.
“This is me and I am back now’ are the kind of emotions I think that would have come out when he was celebrating after scoring, and I can completely understand why.
“I’d texted him on the morning of that game to wish him luck. He is a man of relatively few words when it comes to texting back, but I loved his reply which was simply ‘it’s time’.

    TEAM NEWS: FINLAND VS BELGIUM
Reports claim Martinez will start Kevin De Bruyne, Alex Witsel and Eden Hazard in a bid to get the trio match fit, writes THOMAS BLOW.
Despite already qualifying, the ex-Everton boss is expected to put out a strong team as he wants to win every game.
Thorgan Hazard is at risk of suspension, along with Finland players Glen Kamara, Robin Lod, Tim Sparv and Daniel O’Shaughnessy.
But Kanerva cannot afford to rest those four stars as Finland need to play their strongest team to stand any chance of getting a result against the Belgians.
    GROUP A COMPLETED
Group A was completed last night. Italy narrowly beat Wales 1-0 at the Stadio Olimpico.
And Switzerland beat Turkey, meaning the latter finished Euro 2020 on no points.
Italy and Wales go through, and Switzerland will have to wait to learn their fate.
Four points for the Swiss is good, but the goal difference COULD prevent them from going through as one of four of the best third placed teams.

Belgium are already through to the knockout stages of Euro 2020!
But their opponents tonight, Finland, are on three points. A single point COULD send them through in either second if Russia lose or third.
If Finland finish third on four points, they have a decent chance of going through as one of four of the best third placed teams.

    EURO 2020 ROUND-UP
Boss Robert Page and skipper Gareth Bale are “bursting with pride” at Wales reaching the Euro 2020 knockout stages in adversity
The Dragons went through on goal difference after doggedly limiting group winners Italy to a 1-0 win following Ethan Ampadu’s red card on 54 minutes.
That left Switzerland third on goal difference, despite Xherdan Shaqiri blasting two goals in their 3-1 Group A triumph over point-less Turkey.
Asked if defeat felt like victory, Page said: “Of course it does because we’ve got second spot. It’s that feeling of winning.
“Don’t underestimate the character of a Welshman. It’s phenomenal what the changing room has got in there. I’m bursting with pride.”
And Bale added: “We knew it was going to be a difficult game but we got the job done, finished second.
“It was a little bit disappointing to lose, it’s natural, but the boys just grafted, ran all day and… really dug deep.”
Fancied Belgium are already through with two straight wins, but tonight face a Finland side for whom a point will keep them in the hunt.
Russia, on three points, take on bottom side Denmark in the other Group B match.
Holland can complete a 100% Group C record with victory over no-pointers North Macedonia.
So the more intriguing game in that group is Ukraine vs Austria, who both have three points.
Meanwhile, UEFA are probing alleged racism and homophobia from Hungarian fans at Euro 2020 matches in Budapest.
French black players were subjected to monkey chants during Saturday’s 1-1 draw.
    STERLING WANTS TO BE BUSIER
Raheem Sterling hopes he and Manchester City star Phil Foden get more involved in England’s Group D finale against group leaders the Czech Republic on Tuesday.
The Three Lions’ raider said: “I feel like, for me and Phil (Foden) and the other wingers, the more we can get on the ball at the edge of the opposition box, be a threat there, it will be better for us because those are the positions we want to be in.
“At the same time, we have to understand that this is international football and teams are more robust, they sit in, defending for their lives.
“We’ve just got to use the ball better and try to get the players on the ball in the right positions so we can harm the opposition.”
    ENGLAND’S ‘YIKES!’ TO DYKES
Scotland hardman Lyndon Dykes claims England did not like it up ’em when they collided at Wembley on Friday night.
The Aussie-born striker made his intentions clear right from the off when he clattered Luke Shaw in the first minute of the cross-border clash.

    KANE REACTION
Tottenham star Harry Kane has previously insisted he doesn’t let any transfer speculation shift his attention away from England and Euro 2020.
    Kane previously said: “Absolutely not.
“All my focus is on how I can help this team and how we can be successful in this tournament.
“I understand from a media point of view there is speculation, but I am fully focused on the job here”
    KANE DO THAT
Tottenham are set to reject Manchester City’s whopping £100million offer for star striker Harry Kane.
City are determined to sign Kane in the summer transfer window and are even willing to swap a few players, with the likes of Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Aymeric Laporte already linked with a move to north London.
According to The Guardian, however, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is determined to keep the England captain, who has three years left in his contract.
Kane has informed the north Londoners he wishes to leave in the summer and has also been linked with Chelsea as well as Manchester United

Man City have launched a £100MILLION cash bid for Tottenham striker Harry Kane, according to reports.

    GIVE ME SIM OF THAT
West Ham have had a loan with an option to buy offer turned down for Cagliari striker Giovanni Simeone, according to reports.
According to a report from Calcio Mercato, a bid for the 25-year-old was turned down.
Giovanni, son of Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone, scored just six goals in 33 appearances last season.
    ‘ONCE A GOONER’
Departing centre-back Zech Medley has posted on his Instagram, thanking the club for the five years he has spent at the club.
Medley will now move to Belgium to play for Oostende.
He captioned the post: “In the last 5 years God had blessed me with an opportunity to live a dream I’ve had since I was kid!
“During this time I’ve been able to make brothers for life and memories I’m certain I’ll never forget.
“I would like to thank everyone involved at Arsenal for the amazing journey and learning experiences I’ve had to make me into player I am today and especially my family who have been there for me every single step of the way.
“But now the time has come for me to move on in my career and start a new chapter.
“I will always have love for this club the same way I did when I was growing up! All the best in the future! Once a gooner!”

    CITY BID FOR KANE
Manchester City have made an official bid for Tottenham’s Harry Kane, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Premier League champions have made a bid of £100million guaranteed.
And there is an option to add a player in the deal.
However, Tottenham will not accept the deal despite Kane wanting to leave.
The player is fully focused on England’s Euros campaign, but his future will be decided afterwards.

    HAZARD TO FIND BEST FORM
Eden Hazard wants to find his best form for Real Madrid that he shows for his country Belgium.
Injuries have held Hazard back in Madrid.
He said: “I broke my ankle three times, it will never be the same as 10 years ago.
“But I know that when I am in shape, I can prove myself on the field and that’s what I’m working on now.
“I try to be a leader on the pitch regardless of who I’m playing for but you can only become a leader if you’re playing well and I play a lot more with the national team.
“I think if I have playing time with Real Madrid I can also become a leader there.”
    MEDLEY LEAVES
Arsenal has confirmed that youngster Zechariah Medley has left the club for Belgian team Oostende.

    DONNARUMMA MEDICAL
AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma îs having a medical in Rome ahead of a move to PSG, according to Sky Sports.
The 22-year-old was unable to agree turns with his boyhood club and has opted to move elsewhere on a free transfer.
He is exited to sign a five-year contract with the Parisians and link up with Mauricio Pochettino.
    BIG SUMMER
Man Utd are in for a big summer by the looks of it.
Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane are on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s wish list!

    RAM OFF
Sergio Ramos is keen on completing a free transfer to French side PSG this summer.
Manchester United are also high on the Spaniards list of potential clubs to move to.
According to 90 min, the 35-year-old has received the best offer from PSG.
But there are some hurdles in the way, with the report stating that PSG hold an interest in former team-mate Raphael Varane – similarly to United.
    HEAD-TO-HEAD
Juventus could beat Arsenal to Manuel Locatelli by offering £26million plus Radu Dragusin.
The Sassuolo midfielder scored two in the 3-0 win over Switzerland in Group A, showcasing his attacking ability.
And now according to Goal, Juventus are readying a bid worth £26m plus Dragusin, hoping to persuade Sassuolo.
Locatelli himself, isn’t looking too much into the speculation.
He said: “[The transfer rumours are] just talk. I will decide after the European Championship. There’s such an important competition to play in, and I’m only focused on this.
“I rely on what happens on the pitch, the real things, everything else is just gossip, it’s useless to talk about it.”

    PRICE OF SILVA
Arsenal have reportedly opened negotiations with Eintracht Frankfurt over a transfer deal for Andre Silva, writes GARY STONEHOUSE.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is looking to rebuild his squad this summer after the club missed out on European football for the first time in 25 years.
Hector Bellerin, Bernd Leno and Lucas Torreira are all believed to be available for transfers as part of Arteta’s summer clearout.
Forward Alexandre Lacazette, who finished top scorer with 17 goals last term, is another name set to depart.
Both Juventus and Atletico Madrid have been linked with the Frenchman over the past few months.
Now The Transfer Window Podcast claims that the 25-year-old striker Silva is being lined-up as a potential replacement.
The star is currently on international duty with Portugal at Euro 2020 and is valued at £34million by his Bundesliga employers.
Silva scored 28 goals in the German top-flight last season, more than Dortmund’s in-demand Erling Haaland, to leave him second to Robert Lewandowski in the golden boot race.
    ARSENAL EYE KESSIE
Arsenal are leading the race for AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie, according to reports.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Milan could be forced into selling Kessie this summer.
Talks with the player have stalled over a new deal and the Serie A side could cash in.
A fee in the region of £42million could see Kessie leave the Milan-based club.
And the player would be on a contract worth £100,000 a week.
    DAK THAT
Leicester have a ‘verbal agreement’ with RB Salzburg for striker Patson Daka.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Foxes’ bid has been accepted and all that’s left to do is a medical.
The contract will be until 2026.
Daka has a phenomenal season in front of goal, scoring 34 goals and providing 12 assists in 42 games across all competitions.

His new pay packet would eclipse the £375k a week which United team-mate David de Gea earns.

And Jose Mourinho is closing in on his first signing for Roma after Wolves keeper Rui Patricio reportedly agreed a contract.
Arsenal are thought to be keen on defender Aron Sanchez, 18, after his breakthrough season for Peruvian top-flight side Academia Cantolao.
The Aussie-born striker made his intentions clear right from the off when he clattered Luke Shaw in the first minute of the cross-border clash.
And England’s spiky reaction to the physical approach left Dykes convinced he had rattled Gareth Southgate’s men.

    MY HAZ-BEEN FEAR
Eden Hazard fears he will never be the same player again after an injury ravaged two seasons with Real Madrid.
The two-time Premier League winner at Chelsea will start his first game in the Euros for Belgium against Finland hopeful he can regain some form.
The 30-year-old has suffered various muscle injuries of late but it is his ankle that he has the biggest worries about going forward.
Hazard said: “I have broken my ankle three times and I don’t know whether it will ever be the same again.
“It will not be like it was ten years ago when I was starting out.
“I know if I am fighting fit exactly what I can do on the pitch and show what I am made of.
“But I have been injured a lot.”
Hazard has made just 30 appearances out of a possible 76 in his two seasons in his underwhelming time in LaLiga.
    NO SUBSTITUTE FOR MANCINI ‘CLASS’
Roberto Mancini was hailed as a ‘class act’ after his decision to bring on substitute Italy goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu.
Eyebrows were raised when the veteran stopper, 34, was brought on in the 1-0 win against 10-man Wales with just a couple of minutes to play.
But the decision was made by Mancini given his own regret at not playing in the 1990 World Cup.
The Sampdoria legend was part of the Azzuri squad on home soil but never played a minute of the tournament – and has since called it the biggest regret of his career.
With Italy already through to the knockout stages after winning their opening two matches, the pressure was off against Wales.
Mancini made wholesale changes with only Donnarumma, Jorginho and Leonardo Bonucci maintaining their place in the side from those two wins.
Gaetano Castrovilli, Francesco Acerbi and Giacomo Raspadori also played from the bench – and with Sirigiu’s introduction it means 25 of the 26 Italians in the squad have played at the tournament. Only third-choice keeper Alex Meret, 24, has not played.
And Mancini’s desire to hand minutes to even his backup goalkeeper has earned plaudits from fans, with plenty calling him a ‘class act’. One fan summed it up when writing: “Mancini is pure class. No wonder the players love him.”
    BALE’S SIGH OF RELIEF
Wales captain Gareth Bale spurned ANOTHER glorious chance to score – but was a relieved man after his country qualified for the Euro 2020 knockout stages anyway.
Robert Page’s side were 1-0 down to Italy and playing with ten men after defender Ethan Ampadu was sent off.
But with 75 minutes on the clock, Joe Rodon flicked a header towards the back post straight to star man and Real Madrid attacker Bale.
But the 31-year-old opted to take the shot on the volley, and blasted an effort well over. In their previous game against Turkey, Bale also blasted a penalty over the woodwork.
But despite a 1-0 loss to Roberto Mancini’s Group B table-toppers, the Dragons are into the last 16.
Speaking about THAT chance after the game, Bale told ITV Sport: “I saw the ball coming over, but I didn’t quite get over the ball enough.
“But it is what it is. It made no difference in the end because we still finished second.”
    RUDIGER ‘NOT THE SMARTEST’
Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira doesn’t believe Germany can rely on Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger at Euro 2020.
The 28-year-old has impressed under new Blues boss Thomas Tuchel in recent months but has a endured a tricky start to the tournament.
Rudiger was criticised for allegedly biting Manchester United star Paul Pogba during Germany’s Euros defeat to France.
And in his country’s next match against Portugal, Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo mocked the defender with some audacious skill.
Speaking to ITV Sport, Vieira said: “You need two around [Mats Hummels] to give him more protection.
“But I don’t know if Rudiger is the type of player that you can count on, he’s not the smartest one. Sometimes he makes a poor decision that gives his team-mates big big problems.
“We saw the goals that Germany conceded against France he can do silly things… the bite on Pogba – he’s somebody that can lose his head in any moment during a game.”
    CZECH THIS JOURNEY OUT!
A group of Croatia fans hired a private plane to take them to Scotland for the 1-1 draw with Czech Republic – only for them to watch it in Prague instead.
Sebastian Jagic Njare, his brother Simo and friends Domagoj Raljevic and Luka Vojvodic decided that the game was a must-see.

And after securing match tickets, they then decided to book a private jet to fly them from Zemun Airport on Friday morning for the showdown.
But after travelling to Serbia and enjoying a smooth take off, things hit a snag once they arrived in Scotland. And amazingly they ended up watching the game with their rival supporters 1,178 MILES AWAY!
Sebastian said: “When we arrived over Scotland, the pilot told us that he had just been informed that we had to leave Scottish airspace because due to the pandemic, they were not allowing us to land and arrive.
“Man, what a disappointment that was! Firstly, we will not watch the match, and secondly, ‘who will return from shame now and watch the match from Zadar? From Zemunik, maybe? Hahaha, that was out of the question.
“We were thinking in the air, on the plane, where to tell the pilot to take us. And we decided to ask permission to enter the Czech Republic.
“And here we are in Prague, we watched the game there, with Czech fans.”
HUNGARY FACE RACISM PROBE OVER FANS
UEFA is probing alleged racism and homophobia by Hungarian fans during Euro 2020 games in Budapest.
French black players were subjected to monkey chants during Saturday’s 1-1 draw.
That followed claims of homophobic chants through last week’s defeat by Portugal.
Budapest’s Puskas Arena is the only stadium at the tournament operating at full capacity, with crowds of 60,000.
But right-wing and self-proclaimed Nazi groups are among Hungary’s most fervent supporters.
One large group held a march protesting against anti-rascism gestures last week.
And before the France game, thousands of Hungary fans set off flares and unveiled an anti-kneeling banner in the streets of Budapest.
A number of reports in French media highlighted the racism directed at Paul Pogba, N’Golo Kante, Kylian Mbappe and other black players.
    WALES SNEAK RUNNERS-UP SPOT
Wales survived a tense 45 minutes in BOTH Group A finale games to clinch runners-up spot on goal difference and reach the KO stage.
Ethan Ampadu’s red card left the Dragons clinging to just a 1-0 defeat against impressive group winners Italy, with Wales keeper Danny Ward inspirational
Two-goal Xherdan Shaqiri spearheaded Switzerland to a 3-1 defeat of Turkey that put them level with Wales on four points.
But the Welsh went through with a plus-on GD, compared to minus-one for the Swiss.
    GROUP A LATEST
Switzerland 3 Turkey 1: Irfan Can Kahveci’s 61st-mknute solo goal cut the deficit for the Turks.
But Xherdan Shaqiri blasted his second six minutes later to restore Switzerland’s two-goal advantage.
Italy 1 Wales 0: Ethan Ampadu’s 54th-minute red card made unwanted history and left Wales’ qualification hopes in doubt.
Dragons’ keeper Danny Ward kept the Italians out after that.
Ampadu is the youngest ever Euros player to be sent off, aged 20 years and 279 days..
His challenge on Federico Bernardeschi was late and reckless.

    H/.T SCORES: DRAGONS IN DANGER
    Italy 1 Wales 0: Matteo Pessina’s neat finish from a well-worked free-kick deservedly earned the Azzurri a half-time lead on 39 minutes.
Dan James’ pace was virtually Wales’ only attacking outlet.
Switzerland 2 Turkey 0: The Swiss ae scenting a place in the knockout stages after edging a lively first period full of chance for both teams.

    GROUP A UPDATE
Italy 0 Wales 0: The Azzurri continued to have way more of the possession and chances past the half-hour mark, with keeper Danny Ward the busiest Welsh player.
GOAL – Switzerland 2 Turkey 0: Xherdan Shaqiri doubled Switzerland’s lead by lashing one of the goals of the tournament on 26 minutes with his wesker, right foot.
Yet Turkey have had plenty of half-chances.
    LATEST FROM GROUP A FINALE
Italy 0 Wales 0: The Dragons are defending solidly in the early stages, with Ethan Ampadu is in the middle of Wales’ back three.
Switzerland 1 Turkey 0: Haris Seferovic surged away for a brilliant opener on six minutes.
If it stays the same, Italy would top the point on seven points, Wales would finish second on five points, with the Swiss on four.
    POSH ‘N PECS
Cristiano Ronaldo and partner Georgina Rodriguez have made a splash online with their incredible physiques.
Ronaldo, 36, left Euro 2020 organisers fuming earlier this week, when he removed a Coca Cola bottle from his desk at a press conference.
Cristiano Ronaldo dazzled fans with his ripped physique
Georgina posted an orange bikini pic on Instagram
He insisted ‘drink water’ – and it’s this sort of sentiment that has seen him become one of the most ripped athletes on the planet.
The Juventus star has been in sensational form at the Euros, although couldn’t stop his Portugal side from falling to a 4-2 defeat to Germany yesterday.
But many fans couldn’t help but marvel at his muscles after the game.
Looking visibly gutted by the result, Ronaldo removed his shirt as he left the pitch. And a picture of him, pulsing pectorals and bulging biceps galore, has gone viral online.
Partner Georgina, 27, has also dropped jaws on social media. The model posted a picture of herself in an orange bikini on Instagram yesterday. And the image has received a staggering 1.6million likes… and counting.
    SORRY FOR SCARING YOU
Hungary hero Attila Fiola has apologised for trashing a journalist’s desk after scoring against France.
The 31-year-old right-back sent Budapest wild after stunning the world champions with the opener in their 1-1 draw on Saturday.

Fiola, lost in the moment, celebrated by running towards the crowd inside the full capacity 67,000 Puskas Arena.
His emotions then got the better of him as he wildly swiped at a pitch-side reporter’s desk, leaving her in shock.
The images went viral following the incident with reporter Edit Szalay becoming an internet sensation.
With the dust settled, Fiola has apologised to Szalay on Instagram by sending her a video.
According to Hungarian journalist Matyas Szeli, the player said: “Hi Edit, sorry for overwhelming you, that was one of the nicest moment of our lives, we’ve seen after the initial shock you were happy for our goal.
“Good luck for the rest of the Euros.”

Even if the Swiss win, they would only finish in the top two if Wale slose to Italy with a swing of five on goal difference.
Four points could be enough as four third-placed teams going through.

    ‘NONSENSE’
Graeme Souness has insisted that moaning Bruno Fernandes ‘would not have lasted five minutes in my dressing room’ after his latest display for Portugal, writes GARY STONEHOUSE.
The 26-year-old started for his country yesterday against Germany but was subbed off in the second half of their 4-2 Euro 2020 defeat.
Speaking on ITV Sport, Souness said: “He’s an exceptionally talented boy, there is so much to like about him.
“A great striker of the ball, when he shoots he makes the goalkeeper work.
“I played with players that would not be accepting of the thing you just touched on [petulance], you know he doesn’t get the ball and he is waving his hands around.
“He would not have lasted more than five minutes in my dressing room, but he is a wonderful talented boy.”

    ‘LEAVE CHRISTIAN ALONE’
Daley Blind has hit out at claims Christian Eriksen may never be able to play again following his cardiac arrest, writes GARY STONEHOUSE.
The Danish midfielder, 29, collapsed against Finland after suffering a cardiac arrest and has now been fitted with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) last Saturday.
It remains unclear whether the former Tottenham star will be able to play football again but he has made a good recovery and was fit enough to be released from hospital on Friday.
As reported by the Metro, Blind said: “When this happened to me, the whole world was telling me I was finished as a player, that I would not be able to play again.
“Look where I am today. This is why I say to everyone, ‘Leave Christian alone!’
“I felt I was ready and I felt comfortable to return once I got the green light from the doctors in the hospital and the medical staff at Ajax.
“There was no reason why I could not play at the top level again.
“The most important thing is that you have to feel free in your head.”
Christian Eriksen’s life was saved by the fast reactions of team-mates and medics

    JAY-MAKER
Heavyweight champ Anthony Joshua has called out his next opponent… Manchester United star Jesse Lingard.
Thankfully AJ doesn’t want to meet the winger in the boxing ring, with the two agreeing to do battle on video game FIFA.

Lingard, 28, was the first to pipe up by tweeting: “So Anthony Joshua thinks he’s king of the ring and FIFA!
“Well I’m gonna show him June 21 at 11.30am UK time as part of the world’s biggest charity eSports festival Gamers Without Borders
“Lets see who’s the real heavyweight champ.”
Gamers Without Borders is a charity aiming to distribute the Covid-19 vaccine to underdeveloped countries.
Several celebrities have agreed to get involved in the scheme, including Joshua and Lingard.
AJ couldn’t believe the audacity of Lingard’s tweet, responding: “No chance, Jesse Lingard [followed by a laughing emoji]. See you there.”
RAMOS OPTIONS NARROWING TO OLD TRAFFORD?
Manchester United have received a boost in their pursuit of Sergio Ramos – with rivals City reportedly ruling themselves out a move for the Real Madrid legend.
AS claims Ramos was offered to the Premier League champions earlier this month on a free transfer.
But Pep Guardiola rejected the opportunity to land Ramos despite losing Eric Garcia to Barcelona.
It’s claimed that City plan on keeping hold of new Spain international Aymeric Laporte, who has been linked with an exit.
Pep already has John Stones, Ruben Dias and Nathan Ake at his disposal.
And with Fernandinho also able to operate there, City will not be presenting Ramos with a contract.
That means United could have a clear run at landing the iconic defender, 35, after his shock Bernabeu departure was confirmed this week.
Ramos is believed to want a two-year contract on wages worth £200,000 a week. Those demands also saw Paris Saint-Germain drop out of the race to sign him.
And with Ramos already ruling out a return to Sevilla and a controversial Barcelona switch, United could be his only option this summer.
    UTD DON’T NEED RICE
Manchester United should NOT sign West Ham star Declan Rice, according to club legend Nicky Butt.
The former Red Devils midfielder believes Scotland international Scott McTominay is just as good as his English contemporary.
Speaking to Ladbrokes, Butt said: “I think Man United are solid enough in midfield.
“I keep hearing things about Declan Rice, but is he a better player than Scott McTominay?
“I’m not sure, I think with McTominay, Paul Pogba and obviously Bruno Fernandes, we [Manchester United] are in a good place in the middle of the park.”
    UTD WORRY IT’S PAUL OVER
Manchester United are reportedly fearing that Paul Pogba will turn down a new contract and walk away for free next summer.
The Frenchman arrived back at Old Trafford from Juventus in 2016 in an £89m move but only has 12 months remaining on his deal.
United are desperately trying to convince Pogba and his agent Mino Raiola to sign a new package after they were forced into triggering a one-year extension in his current agreement.
However, those attempts to persuade him appear to have become deadlocked.
Now The Mirror states United are becoming increasingly worried Pogba will run out his contract and leave for nothing at the end of next season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has refused to get into any public spats with the outspoken Raiola.
But United have allegedly ‘made it very clear’ they would sell Pogba this summer if he has no intention of penning fresh terms.
UTD COULD SELL TELLES TO FUND TRIPPIER DEAL
Manchester United are willing to sell left-back Alex Telles to fund a move for Atletico Madrid’s Kieran Trippier, according to reports.
The Mirror are reporting that Man Utd are still keen on Trippier and a reported bid of £10m was turned down not long ago.
And Atletico boss Diego Simeone doesn’t want Trippier to leave for anything less than what they value him at, £40m.
Trippier’s ability to play at both right and left-back provides cover if Telles is sold.
    UTD IN PAY PAU LINK
Manchester United are willing to launch a transfer bid for Pau Torres, according to reports, writes JOSHUA JONES.
But they face competition from Real Madrid for the defender’s signature.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to bring in a new centre-back this summer as a long-term partner for Harry Maguire.
And according to AS, the Red Devils may make an official bid in the coming weeks.
Torres, 24, enjoyed a fine season with boyhood club Villarreal and capped it off by lifting the Europa League, beating United in a marathon penalty shootout.
He has been with the club since 2002, aged just five, and has racked up 88 first-team appearances, earning himself a starting spot for Spain at Euro 2020.
    CHANGE OF BRAND IMAGE
Manchester United are planning to loan out Brandon Williams to a Premier League club this summer, according to reports.
The England Under-21 full-back was wanted by multiple clubs in January, including Southampton and West Ham.
Brandon Williams could leave Manchester United for the first time since joining aged 7
But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer prevented Williams’ departure as he wanted to keep him as a back up option.
But the United boss is now confident he has enough cover at left-back so is willing to let the 20-year-old leave on a temporary basis, according to the Mirror.
And Solskjaer reportedly believes the full-back could benefit from regular Premier League football.
The youngster, 20, struggled for game time last season after enjoying a breakthrough campaign in 2019/20.
The arrival of Alex Telles last year limited Williams to just 14 appearances in all competitions – four of those came in the Premier League.
    POGBA FREE EXIT FEAR
Manchester United fear that star midfielder Paul Pogba is ready to run his contract down and leave Old Trafford for free, reports say.
According to The Mirror, United a desperate to get the Frenchman to sign a new deal.
But they have been unsuccessful in persuading the player and agent so far.

    GREALISH WANTED BY CITY
Man City are ready to smash the Premier League transfer record to land Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, according to reports.
The Telegraph are reporting that City manager Pep Guardiola is a big fan of Grealish.
City are willing to break past the £90million mark to get the creative winger, smashing Man Utd’s record on Paul Pogba back in 2016.
Grealish has been linked with a move away from Villa Park for some time.
And the likes of Man Utd are still keeping tabs on him.
    BIG MONEY
Pogba and Maguire joined Man Utd for big money and it places them on the list as one of the biggest transfers of all time.

    MAN UTD EYE SOYUNCU
Man Utd are interesting in signing Leicester City centre-back Caglar Soyuncu, according to reports.
The Express are reporting that Man Utd are looking for a solid centre-back partner for club captain Harry Maguire, citing Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur.
And although Real Madrid’s Varane is high on that list, boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking elsewhere too.
Soyuncu is also attracting interest from Champions League winners Chelsea.

    RAPH AND READY
Raphael Varane’s agents want to meet with Manchester United this week, according to reports.
The centre-back is said to have snubbed a two-year contract extension at Real Madrid and has decided he wants to move to the Premier League instead of Paris Saint-Germain, writes WILLIAM PUGH.
And his representatives reportedly want to finalise a deal to take him to Old Trafford ‘in the coming days’.

    TROUBLE BRU-ING
Lee Dixon took a swipe at Bruno Fernandes for ‘strolling’ around with ‘zero energy’ as Portugal were thumped by Germany on Saturday, writes DAVE FRASER.
The Manchester United star, 26, was utterly anonymous as the Germans powered their way to a 4-2 victory in Munich.
Fernandes was hauled off after a miserable hour, replaced by Wolves’ Joao Moutinho, having made absolutely no impact.
Shortly before he was hauled off – with Portugal losing 3-1 – Lee Dixon slated the Red Devils ace for his desperately poor afternoon, taking particular aim at his woeful work-rate.
Speaking on ITV, fuming co-commentator Dixon said: “I think someone needs to tell Fernandes he’s 3-1 down.
“He is just strolling on the ball.
“He had a chance then to run into space and commit a few players ahead of him.
“No energy in his run at all.”
