    GOOD MORNING FOOTY FANS
Lionel Messi has been offered a two-year deal by Paris Saint-Germain and is set to sign for the French giants, according to reports.
The PSG squad are said to be ‘convinced’ the 34-year-old will join them this summer, while manager Mauricio Pochettino says the club are ‘working on several options’.
Tottenham, meanwhile, have announced the £47million signing of Argentine defender Cristian Romero from Italian side Atalanta.
His arrival may persuade Harry Kane to stay, with the striker claiming he ‘never’ refused to train and will return to the club ‘as planned’ today.
The England captain reportedly wants to leave Spurs this summer in a bid to win the first major honour of his career.
And Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has admitted he is ‘very interested’ in signing Kane.
The Spaniard has already lured Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish to the Etihad for a British record transfer fee.
Elsewhere, Arsenal outcast Lucas Torreira is believed to be in talks with Lazio after spending last season on loan at Atletico Madrid.
And the Gunners appear to be out of the bidding war for Ruben Neves with Granit Xhaka set to sign a new contract.
    PRIDE PARK – EXCLUSIVE
Ex-Manchester United star Tom Lawrence knows his late mum Deborah will look down proudly as he leads Derby out as captain on Saturday.
The attacking midfielder has been handed the armband for the season by boss Wayne Rooney.
It raised eyebrows in some sections of the Rams’ support, but it could well be an inspired piece of management from the United legend.

    NEVES LATEST
Arsenal appear to be out of the race for Wolves star Ruben Neves as Granit Xhaka is set to sign a new deal.
Xhaka appeared close to joining Roma but it seems as if he will be staying at the Emirates after all.
According to Football London, the Gunners were lining up a bid for Neves to replace the Switzerland international in the middle of the park.
This works as a major boost for Manchester United, who are also on the lookout for a midfielder as Paul Pogba could leave.
United have also been linked with Neves during the summer transfer window.

    MESSI SITUATION
Paris Saint-Germain’s squad are ‘convinced’ Lionel Messi is moving to the French capital, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Ligue 1 side are believed to have offered the 34-year-old a two-year contract, with the option of a further year.
Sergio Ramos, Georginio Wijnaldum, Gianluigi Donnarumma and now Messi? And all on free transfers!
That would be quite the transfer window for PSG.
    ‘PEAK S***HOUSERY’
Fans are convinced Jorginho is mocking England after dying his hair blond.
Manchester City star Phil Foden, 21, paid tribute to Paul Gascoigne by bleaching his hair ahead of Euro 2020 – like Gazza did at Euro 96.
The whole England squad agreed to follow suit if they went on to win the trophy.
But after making it to the final, the brave Three Lions were beaten on penalties by Italy.
And now, Jorginho may be having a little more fun than he’s letting on, after dying his hair blond too.
Immediately fans were quick to point out Jorginho may be poking fun at Foden, and England fans.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “Jorginho showing up with blonde hair, as a reference to Phil Foden’s plan post winning Euros, is s***housery of the highest form.”

    NO MIS-PAKE – EXCLUSIVE
James McPake is on the shortlist for the vacant MK Dons job.
The League One side are on the hunt to replace Russell Martin, who took over at Swansea City.
SunSport understands MK Dons are keen to bring in a young manager and Dundee boss McPake, 37, fits the bill.
McPake has impressed in Scotland, having led The Dark Blues into the Premier League from the Championship through the play-offs in May.

    CRIS OF LIFE
Tottenham have announced the signing of Argentine defender Cristian Romero from Italian side Atalanta.
The 23-year-old joins the Lilywhites for a fee of £47million ahead of the club’s first season with new boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
Spurs were in need of a central defender following the departure of Belgian Toby Alderweireld.
Romero only officially became an Atalanta player this summer having been on loan from Juventus last season.
But he was swiftly moved on to North London before even playing one game as a permanent player.
He was named ‘Best Defender’ at the Serie A end of season awards following a superb campaign with the Italian side.

    KEEP IT GREAL
Aston Villa’s CEO has revealed the reason behind allowing Jack Grealish to join Manchester City for a Premier League record fee.
Speaking on Twitter, Christian Purslow said: “Jack wanted to be certain that if at any point a Champions League club came in for him and Aston Villa was not in that competition, that we would not stand in his way.
“For that reason, we agreed to incorporate a so-called release clause into his contract.
“Our board set this clause at a value of £100million, knowing that would be, by some way, a record price for a British footballer and also a record fee for any player bought by a Premier League club.
“Put another way, we set the value at a level we hoped would not be met, but which would reflect his truly unique value to Aston Villa.”
    A MOVE FOR MESSI?
Manchester United have contacted Lionel Messi’s representatives about a potential move, according to journalist Duncan Castles.
It’s believed the deal would be worth approximately €50MILLION to the Argentina captain.
However, United officials understand that they are currently behind Paris Saint-Germain in the pecking order to sign Messi.
The French club are reportedly able to present a contract of around €75m over two years.

    POCH WATCH
Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino insists his club are ‘aware’ of Lionel Messi’s situation – but will not sell Kylian Mbappe to fund a deal to sign the Argentine.
Speaking in a press conference, Poch said: “I have not spoken with [Messi]. And [any move] would not mean that Kylian would leave.
“A player of Messi’s calibre, that is what is interesting to me. The club are working on several options, but we must focus on the game with Troyes [on Saturday].
“We know about what happened yesterday.
“The club is working on the transfer window and on the elements that could come in to improve the team and allow us to achieve our goals.”

    CUTI COUP
Sticking with Spurs, the club have just confirmed the signing of Argentine centre-back Cristian Romero from Atalanta.
Known as ‘Cuti,’ the 23-year-old joins the North London club on a five-year contract for a fee of around £50m.
Named as ‘Best Defender’ in the Serie A last season, he helped Atalanta to third-place finish in the league, and went on to make his debut for the Argentina national team.

    KANE TO STAY AT SPURS?
Following Harry Kane’s statement, the odds of him remaining a Tottenham Hotspur player beyond the 2021 transfer window have shortened slightly.
While the striker refuses to go into the ‘specifics of the situation,’ his words appear to be a source of comfort to anxious Spurs fans, worried about their star’s possible departure.
Betfair now have Kane at 4/6 to remain at Tottenham while Manchester City are listed at 23/20 to sign the England captain.

    HARRY’S PAIN
Tottenham striker Harry Kane has taken to social media to issue a statement regarding comments over his professionalism that have left him hurt.
While speculation continues regarding his future, Kane insists that he will be returning to Spurs tomorrow as planned, and that he would never do anything to jeopardise his relationship with the supporters that have always backed him.

    TEN TO TEMPT MESSI
Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar has reportedly offered his number ten shirt to Lionel Messi in order to tempt his former Barcelona teammate into joining him at the Parc des Princes, according to French news outlet RMC Sport.
Both players have become synonymous with the number ten jersey during their illustrious careers, but only one will be able to wear it if they were to again end up on the same side.

    A MESSI ENDING
Barcelona have now confirmed that Lionel Messi has officially left the club after contract negotiations ended.
Which airport will he be spotted at first?

    NO COUTINHO PAYDAY FOR REDS
Barcelona’s perilous finances have been making recent headlines, and now the Spanish giants are banking on an aspect of Phillipe Coutinho’s failed transfer.
Rumours in England had suggested that the Catalans would owe Liverpool another £20m for when the Brazilian reached 100 games for the La Liga club, but Barcelona are now insistent that is not the case.
Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo have been running the story after manager Ronald Koeman admitted that Coutinho – currently on 90 Barcelona appearances – would be part of his plans if financially viable.

    PEP TALKS
Man City boss Pep Guardiola has admitted he is ‘very interested’ in signing Harry Kane.
But the Spaniard has warned Tottenham that if they are not prepared to negotiate, the deal is ‘finished’.
Kane is desperate for a move to the Etihad after telling Spurs he wants to leave to win trophies.
But chairman Daniel Levy is thought to value the England captain around £160m, with City unlikely to reach that target.
They have of course just shelled out £100m to sign Jack Grealish from Aston Villa.
Speaking about the possibility of bringing in another £100m+ man, Guardiola said: “Harry Kane is an exceptionally talented striker and of course, we’re very interested.
“But if Tottenham don’t want to sell… Of course, we’ll try.”

    CITY OFFER
The City Football Group have made their move for Lionel Messi, according to French outlet le 10 sport.
The report suggests the 34-year-old has been offered a three year deal, with two of them to be spent in Manchester with City, and the final year to be at New York City.
The six-time Ballon d’Or winner is thought to want to spend a couple more years playing at the top level before retiring in the USA, and that contract certainly appeals to his wishes.
PSG are still thought to be the frontrunners for his signature though.
    THAT’S ALL
That’s all from Joan Laporta as he leaves the stage.
He made it clear that Messi wanted to stay at Barcelona, the club did all they could and so did Messi, but financial constraints mean it can’t happen.
Laporta blames the disastrous losses from the previous presidency that have left the club in serious debt, with 95% of the club’s income going on the player’s salaries.
It means the club could be in a position at the end of the season that sees them lose over £400million.
Laporta didn’t say where Messi would be going when quizzed by reporters, but he did say he is the best player in the world so he has offers from the best clubs in the world.
    BIG LOSSES
Joan Laporta claims that Barcelona’s losses by the end of the season could be in excess of £400m!
    WOW!
    LAPORTA LATEST
“We even shook hands [him and Messi] but the contract didn’t fit in the regulations.
“And we reached the agreement that it couldn’t be.”
    ON PSG INTEREST
When asked who he wants to see Messi move to and where he’s moving to, Laporta says:
“I would like to see him play at Barca but whatever he does is up to him.
    “You’ll have to ask him.
“I don’t know but it’s always been said that they have options [for Messi].”

    GREAL DEAL
Reputable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Jack Grealish will sign for Manchester City.
All of the paperwork has been sorted out for the £100million deal.
And Grealish will sign a contract keeping him at the club until June 2026.
Grealish will have his medical tomorrow morning.

    KURT HURT
West Ham will make a bid for Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic after talks with Kurt Zouma broke down over wages, writes DUNCAN WRIGHT.
The Hammers wanted Chelsea centre-back Zouma in a £20million deal but the France international discovered they were unwilling to meet his personal demands.
Boss David Moyes will instead push on with his initial interest in Milenkovic, 23, who is valued at £14m by Fiorentina.
The Serbia international only has one year left on his deal with the Serie A club, which is why he is available at such a knockdown price.
Milenkovic is thought to be keen on a move to West Ham, despite interest earlier this summer from Juventus and Tottenham.
Moyes will then focus on landing a new striker.
    POG TOP
Paul Pogba is still Man Utd’s most expensive signing to date.
Man Utd’s biggest transfers ever, both in and out, including Ronaldo
    DAMS BUSTER
Tottenham are reportedly plotting moves for Mikkel Damsgaard and Noni Madueke ahead of the new Premier League season, writes MARC MAYO.
While battling the Harry Kane transfer saga on one front, the North London club are also attempting to bolster Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad.
A £47million bid for Atalanta defender Cristian Romero has been accepted, according to reports, following the additions of Pierluigi Gollini and Bryan Gil.
The Italian goalkeeper started Wednesday’s friendly against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
And Spurs are not done there with Evening Standard naming two targets entering their radar.
Sampdoria winger Damsgaard, 21, has emerged as an option for several clubs including Liverpool and Leeds in recent weeks.
A sterling display at Euro 2020, where he bagged a pair of goals, rounded off a decent first season at Sampdoria which also featured two strikes.
Damsgaard hit a stunning free-kick past England in the semi-finals and is valued at around £42m.
    NOA BLIMEY
Leeds are targeting highly rated Club Brugge winger Noa Lang but face competition from Sevilla, according to reports.
The 22-year-old Holland star – who is playing his trade in Belgium – has attracted attention from Leeds as well as Sevilla after scoring 17 goals and providing 11 assists in 38 games last season.
Reputable Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed Leeds’ interest in the winger on his Twitch stream, saying: “He’s a target, they are talking with his agents but there is no deal agreed or any officials bids yet with Club Brugge.”
But according to ElDesmarque, Sevilla are also targeting Lang despite swapping Bryan Gil for Tottenham’s Erik Lamela.
However, Lang’s price is an issue for the Spanish club with Brugge wanting £17-£21million for their star man.
But Sevilla still have good options in the wide areas should they opt against moving for Lang.
Lamela, Suso, Lucas Ocampos and Oussama Idrissi can all play out wide.
    HIGHEST EARNERS
The Premier League has some of the highest earners in world football!

    LUKAKU BOOST
Inter Milan star Romelu Lukaku is very keen to rejoin Chelsea during the summer transfer window.
According to Sky Sports, Lukaku has told Inter to accept a suitable offer from the Blues.
The west Londoners have made the star striker their top transfer target after missing out on Borussia Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland.
The Belgium international endured a hapless first stint at Stamford Bridge but it looks like he may get the chance to set the record straight this coming season
    MADDISON OPEN
Leicester star James Maddison is open to a potential transfer to Arsenal.
That is according to Sky Sports, who claim that should the Gunners reach a deal with the Foxes then Maddison wouldn’t say no to the north Londoners.
Arsenal have been trying to strike a deal by offering up to four players in exchange for the playmaker.
However, Leicester are insisting on the England international’s £60million release clause
    AL IN
Alisson has put pen to paper on a new long-term deal with Liverpool!
The star goalkeeper said: “I think I didn’t waste too much time to think about that.
“It’s something we just built in those last three years, the confidence, the trust that I have in the club and the club has in myself.
“Me and my family, we are really happy here. My kids are settled in England, in a different country, but they are growing up in that way. So we are really happy.
“I’m really glad that I can keep going on with my work here, doing a good job here. So, I’m really happy to make this decision – that is not hard for me”
    TOP SIGN-INGS
Aston Villa have officially landed Southampton star Danny Ings for an undisclosed fee.
Ings has put pen to paper on a three-year deal with Villa, who are trying to strengthen as much as possible ahead of Jack Grealish’s imminent departure for Manchester City.
The 29-year-old has joined the likes of Leon Bailey, Emi Buendia and Ashley Young.
Villa manager Dean Smith said: “Danny is an outstanding Premier League footballer who has scored goals wherever he has played.
“He is also a top professional with a great character who will be a leader in our squad and a role model for our rapidly developing young Academy players who are now in and around the first team”

    LUKAKU RETURN
Romelu Lukaku could be set for a return to the Premier League two years after leaving Manchester United.
Lukaku has been linked with a stunning transfer to former club Chelsea, who have made him their No1 target.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the striker will agree to make a club-record return if the Blues can agree a deal with Inter Milan.
But it won’t be easy as Inter are reluctant to let the Belgium international go
    LUK OUT FOR MORE
Chelsea are offering Inter Milan star Romelu Lukaku a higher salary than the one he earned at Manchester United.
Eurosport’s Dean Jones told The Football Terrace: “When Chelsea first touched base with Lukaku about what they’d be offering, Man City were kind of in the conversation as well.
“They’d actually offered more money to Lukaku in terms of an initial financial payment, what his wages would be and so on.
“And so, Chelsea weren’t really in the same ballpark. But, since then, things have changed.
“Chelsea have increased their offer, they’re now willing to pay Lukaku not just more than he’s on at Inter Milan but more than he earned at Manchester United.
“He took a pay cut to go to Inter Milan, at United he was on around £200,000-a-week.
“He’ll be getting more than that if he goes to Chelsea, probably closer to £250,000-a-week from what I’m told.
“This is advancing, this story is moving all the time. Yesterday I took so many calls on it because suddenly it became a live story”
    HAALAND EXCITEMENT
Eurosport’s Dean Jones has reported that Manchester United are getting “excited” about Chelsea ending their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland.
Jones told The Football Terrace: “It hasn’t quite come through as far as Chelsea hoped it would by now, I think it would be fair to say.
“Borussia Dortmund will be closing the door at the end of the week because they need to focus on the new season. Erling Haaland knows that he has so many options open to him next summer.
“Man United, by the way, are becoming quite excited by all this – the fact that Haaland might still be on the market next summer”
    MADDISON UPDATE
Arsenal have offered four aces as part of a player-plus-cash deal to Leicester for star midfielder James Maddison.
That is according to Football London, who report that the Gunners are exploring other options to try and lower the Foxes’ £60million price tag.
The north Londoners have offered the likes of Reiss Nelson, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Joe Willock and Eddie Nketiah as makeweights in the deal.
However, it is understood that Leicester are not interested in acquiring any of Arsenal’s players, and would prefer a cash only deal for the playmaker, who is keen to move to the Emirates
    MAKES SENS
Arsenal are leading the transfer race for Real Madrid ace Marco Asensio, who has also been linked with Tottenham and Liverpool.
Asensio could be sold by Real this summer, as they look to clear some books for Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe.
Los Blancos are hoping to attract interest from the Premier League and it’s working so far as the Gunners, Spurs and Reds are all keeping tabs on the forward.
According to Fichajes, however, it is the north Londoners that have shown the strongest desire to land him.
They also expect the Madrid outfit will ask for £34million for the Spain international
    GETTY IMAGES
    RICE TOUCH
West Ham ace Declan Rice is keeping his options open but won’t force a move away.
Rice has returned to training with the Hammers after an extended break following his exploits at Euro 2020 with England this summer.
The star midfielder has been linked with a move to Manchester United as well as Chelsea.
According to the Daily Telegraph, however, the 22-year-old is happy enough in east London and won’t try to push for an exit
    LUK OUT
Manchester United look set for a financial windfall from a potential transfer involving Inter Milan star Romelu Lukaku.
United sold Lukaku to Inter in 2019 after a £74million deal with the Nerazzurri.
The striker is now being targeted by former club Chelsea, who have reportedly made the Belgian their top priority with a bid that could reach £10million.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the Red Devils are due around five per cent of any fee Inter get – so that could see them earning £5m in this scenario
    ONONO
Ajax goalkeeper and Arsenal target Andre Onana has pulled the plug on his reported move to Lyon.
According to De Telegraaf, Onana has now turned his attention to interest from “bigger clubs”.
However, the Gunners are unlikely to capitalise on this development as they have turned their own focus on homegrown talent.
According to Football London, Sheffield United ace Aaron Ramsdale is now their main target
    NOT LAUT OF OFFERS
Inter Milan have received ‘no acceptable offers’ for Arsenal and Tottenham target Lautaro Martinez.
That is according to transfer expert Kristof Terreur, who reports that Lautaro’s release clause hasn’t come close to being triggered.
Inter need to sell one of their stars, and would opt to offload the Argentina international over Chelsea target Romelu Lukaku.
But the Italian champions will need a high bid to let the star striker go in the summer transfer window and seem to prefer straight cash instead of a swap deal
    KANE RECAP
Manchester United continue to monitor Tottenham star striker Harry Kane.
Kane was given extra time off after starring for England at Euro 2020 but he failed to report for pre-season training for two consecutive days, leaving Spurs “disappointed”.
According to ESPN, the Red Devils continue to hold an interest in the 28-year-old star striker but would have to fend off rivals City.
Chelsea have also been linked with the England international
    GETTY IMAGES
    MAD MADS
Arsenal have proposed a player-plus-cash bid for Leicester star James Maddison.
According to Football London, the Gunners are lining up a potential swap to get around Maddison’s £60million release clause, which has been deemed excessive.
It has not yet been confirmed who will be offered up as a makeweight but the Joe Willock, Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah have all been touted.
However, Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers is not keen on letting the England international go under any circumstances
    SANCHO ARRIVAL
Manchester United signing Jadon Sancho is expected to link up with his new team on Friday.
That is according to the Manchester Evening News, who report that Sancho will start training with United in two days.
The winger joined the Red Devils after a £72.9million transfer from Borussia Dortmund.
The England international has been on extended holiday this summer after Euro 2020
    GO GET HIM
Real Madrid have joined Manchester United in the transfer race for Leon Goretzka.
That is according to Manchester Evening News, who report that a bid for Goretzka won’t be easy.
The Red Devils are likely to move for a new midfielder as Paul Pogba’s future has been cast into doubt.
Declan Rice has been touted as a potential target but West Ham are not keen on letting him go
    HAALAND RETREAT
Chelsea have given up on their pursuit to sign Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland this summer.
That’s according to The Athletic, who claim that the Blues have turned their focus on Romelu Lukaku.
Haaland was the west Londoners’ top target but an agreement was always going to be difficult following the departure of Jadon Sancho to Manchester United.
It would have also taken an astronomical fee for Thomas Tuchel’s side to land the 21-year-old this month.
The Norway international has also been linked with United, who could try and trigger his £68million asking price that becomes active next summer
    GREALISH PLAN
Manchester City are hoping to finalise the transfer of Aston Villa star Jack Grealish as soon as possible.
If everything goes to plan then Grealish is expected to swiftly agree personal terms and take a medical, according to The Athletic.
Nevertheless, this record-breaking move is indeed on the verge to be finalised.
The versatile playmaker would become the most expensive British player of all time after eclipsing Gareth Bale’s £85m move from Tottenham to Real Madrid in 2013.
It would also beat the Premier League record that belongs to Paul Pogba following his £89m transfer from Juventus to Manchester United in 2016

    2nd: Tottenham – Played 1, Points 3
    3rd: Arsenal – Played 1, Points 1

    FT: CHELSEA 2-2 SPURS
An entertaining pre-season contest ends in a stalemate at Stamford Bridge after Spurs fought back from 2-0 down. While Tottenham did improve in the second period, it wasn’t until a flurry of Chelsea changes that the visitors really got going. Then, goals from Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn cancelled out Hakim Ziyech’s double, and the visitors may have even gone on to win it.
PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!IT ENDS ALL SQUARE AT STAMFORD BRIDGE!
    CHELSEA 2-2 SPURS
90+3. A driving run out from the back from Ampadu begins one last attack for Chelsea.
The Welshman finds Zappacosta on the right, but his looping cross is calmly chested back to Gollini by Aurier.
    CHELSEA 2-2 SPURS
    90. The board goes up for three minutes of stoppage time.
    CHELSEA 2-2 SPURS
    88. Chelsea win a corner. Can they claim a dramatic victory in the second game of the pre-season Mind Series? It’s what dreams are made of.
In all seriousness, it is all for a good cause so donate generously.
The corner, on the other hand, is rubbish.
    CHELSEA 2-2 SPURS
    86. Scarlett shows off a lovely touch as he drops deep to receive the ball.
The striker may be a few years off being a readymade Harry Kane replacement, but he does look to have a big future ahead of him.
    CHELSEA 2-2 SPURS
    84. Ruben Loftus-Cheek goes past Dele Alli…
    …and falls over.
It’s like he’s still on loan at Fulham.
    CHELSEA 2-2 SPURS
    82. After the frantic nature of the first half, the barrage of second half substitutes has certainly helped to create the pre-season friendly feel that was lacking in the first period.
    CHELSEA 2-2 SPURS
    80. Some more subs which see each side introduce a defender.
The American Matt Miazga comes on for Chelsea in place of Trevoh Chalobah while Spurs bring on Serge Aurier for Matt Doherty.
However, more interesting is the arrival of Spurs young starlet Dane Scarlett. The 17-year-old attacker is on for Steven Bergwijn.
    CHELSEA 2-2 SPURS
    77. And, you have to say, Spurs now look the likelier team to win it.
It almost lands when Son plays in the overlapping Davies, but the substitute’s low drive beyond Mendy is cleared off the line by Ampadu.
    CHELSEA 2-2 SPURS
    75. Tottenham are suddenly showing some assured composure in possession. It is unexpected to say the least.
    CHELSEA 2-2 SPURS
    73. Spurs have been a lot more economical with their subs, but here’s one.
Ben Davies is on at left-back for Sergio Reguilon.
    CHELSEA 2-2 SPURS
    72. Good save!
Pierluigi Gollini denies Tammy Abraham with a strong block at the near post after the striker had found space to turn and shoot.
    CHELSEA 2-2 SPURS
    70. Well, well, well…
Out of nowhere, Spurs are level, and it comes as a result of a Chelsea error.
Substitute Malang Sarr gives the ball away in a dangerous area, and it allows the visitors to break at pace.
Lucas Moura storms forward from the left and finds Steven Bergwijn on the right via Son Heung-min. The Dutchman faces up to Trevor Chalobah before pushing him wide and thumping a shot through Edouard Mendy.

    GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAL!!STEVEN BERGWIJN EQUALISES!!
    CHELSEA 2-1 SPURS
    68. Zappacosta steps up a teasing cross towards the far post, and it requires some watchful defending from Doherty to head away from danger.
    CHELSEA 2-1 SPURS
    66. Lovely stuff from the 19-year-old Tino Anjorin.
The youngster shows great stuff to shrug off Lucas Moura, executes some fancy footwork, and then thumps a brilliant low curler than Gollini does well to push out.
    CHELSEA 2-1 SPURS
    62. Here we go. Enter the magnificent seven.
Changes for Chels. 🔄On: Sarr, Zappacosta, Ampadu, Anjorin, Loftus-Cheek, Kenedy and Abraham.Off: Werner, Ziyech, Alonso, Havertz, Kovacic, Zouma and Rudiger.🔵 2-1 ⚪️— Chelsea FC (@ChelseaFC) August 4, 2021

    CHELSEA 2-1 SPURS
    60. Probability would suggest this is Werner’s last involvement, but it’s not a bad one.
A decent hit from 25 yards stings the hands of the saving Gollini.
    CHELSEA 2-1 SPURS
    59. A whole new team of Chelsea players are waiting for their introduction. This could be fun.
    CHELSEA 2-1 SPURS
    58. Tottenham fancy this now.
Bergwijn gets into the box but is barged off the ball by Chalobah.
    CHELSEA 2-1 SPURS
    56. Another deflection, another goal, and Tottenham are back in it.
Dele Alli looks to have wasted the momentum of a promising attack when failing to release the ball, but he manages to poke the ball right to Lucas Moura.
The Brazilian takes over, and although he’s unable to find any backlift, his shot loops up off Antonio Rudiger and wrong foots Edouard Mendy.

Meanwhile at Tottenham, Harry Kane is expected back at training this week, with the club on the verge of signing Christian Romero from Atalanta.

It would also beat the Premier League record that belongs to Paul Pogba following his £89m transfer from Juventus to Manchester United in 2016
    GETTY IMAGES
    GREALISH RECAP
Manchester City are close to agreeing a record-breaking £100million deal with Aston Villa for Jack Grealish.
City submitted their staggering offer on Friday and it is understood Villa are willing to let Grealish leave for the Premier League champions.
The versatile forward returned to training with the Villans after being granted an extended break following his exploits with England at Euro 2020.
But it now seems like the 25-year-old is on his way to Etihad as he has reportedly arrived to Manchester
    POSITION CHANGE
Jack Grealish will be deployed as a central midfielder by Pep Guardiola, according to the Athletic.
The 25-year-old played mainly off the left wing for Aston Villa last season, but Guardiola is likely to utilise Grealish in midfield alongside Ilkay Gundogan and Kevin De Bruyne.
With Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez, Bernardo Silva, Ferran Torres and Phil Foden all operating out wide, Guardiola is keen to use Grealish’s mesmerising ability to keep possession in the middle of his midfield.
A £100million switch from Grealish’s boyhood club Aston Villa is expected to be announced later today.
    ‘HOURS AWAY’
Jack Grealish’s £100million move to Manchester City is just “hours away,” according to the Mirror.
The deal is set to be announced today, before a medical takes place later this afternoon or early tomorrow.
It’s still not certain what shirt number Grealish could take.
If it’s not the number ten then that could be a sign that City are still after Harry Kane.
    JACK’S ARRIVED
Jack Grealish has ARRIVED in Manchester, according to reports.
The 25-year-old is expected to put pen to paper on a long-term contract that will see him become the most expensive English player of all time, and the most expensive Premier League player of all time.
    JACK THE LAD
Jack Grealish reportedly turned down a mind boggling £200,000-a-week contract from Aston Villa to seal a switch to Manchester City.
Grealish is expected in Manchester today after Aston Villa accepted a £100million from Manchester City that was tabled on Friday.
The 25-year-old will become the most expensive player in British football history, eclipsing the £89million Manchester United played for Paul Pogba in 2016.

    NOT AGAIN ARSENAL
Arsenal are fearing a repeat scenario of the Emi Buendia saga as Aston Villa step up their interest in Tammy Abraham.
Villa beat Arsenal to the signing of Buendia earlier this summer, and with plenty of cash available to Villa from the £100million banked for Jack Grealish fee the Telegraph report lightning could strike twice for the Gunners.
Abraham spent the 2018-19 season on loan at Villa Park, scoring 25 goals and helping Dean Smith’s side to the Premier League.
But Abraham is a boyhood Arsenal fan, so a choice between the two clubs is a hard one.
What is clear is that Chelsea are willing to listen to offers for the 23-year-old between £30-40million.
    TEN SHIRT DILEMMA
With Manchester City set to confirm the signing of Jack Grealish today, what shirt number will he be given at the Etihad.
Grealish wears the number ten shirt at Villa Park, but City are also keen on signing Harry Kane from Spurs, who also wears the number ten shirt.
Kane publicly stated in May he wanted to leave Spurs so an exit seems inevitable, with City favourites to sign him.
But with Grealish signing today has he got to the number ten jersey first?
Should Grealish be unveiled with a different number, is that an indicator that City are still vying for Kane’s signature?
    BARRY SYMPATHY
Former Aston Villa man Gareth Barry has said he ‘feels sorry’ for Jack Grealish.
Barry also joined Manchester City from Aston Villa in 2009 in a deal that upset Villa supporters, with Grealish’s move also expected to cause controversy.
Barry told Sky Sports: “It brings back memories for me and I can see where Jack’s head might be at the moment.
    “It’s a difficult decision.
“Jack loves Aston Villa so it’ll be really tough. I feel sorry for him.”
    BACK ON BERGE
The Gunners are set to revive their interest in Sheffield United’s Sander Berge, according to the Sheffield Star.
Arsenal have previously been put off by the Blades’ £35million asking price for the Norwegian, but now the Gunners are set to return with an offer.
The offer is said to be a lump sum for the services of both Berge and Ramsdale, with the Gunners also on the search for a goalkeeper.
The Blades value Berge at £35million and £32million, but Arsenal are keen to trim those prices with a lump sum offer for both players.
    ROM COM
Tottenham have agreed a fee for Atalanta star Cristian Romero.
That is according to Football London, who claim Spurs are very close to landing Romero.
A fee of around £43million plus add-ons is said to have been agreed, with just the minor details left to iron out.
The 23-year-old centre-back won the Copa America with Argentina in the summer and will sign as a long-term replacement for Toby Alderweireld who left North London last week.
    ROM RETURN
Chelsea have reportedly offered striker Romelu Lukaku £250,000 a week in wages as they prepare to bid £100million for the Inter Milan man, DYLAN TERRY reports.
The Blues have already seen an £86m offer for the 28-year-old Belgian rejected by the Serie A champions.
But they are keen to secure his signature before the start of the new season and are prepared to break the bank to do so.
According to The Express, the Champions League winners are willing to offer Lukaku £12.8m per year in wages, more than he earned at Manchester United.
And that could well be enough to convince him to return to the Premier League as SunSport reported on Tuesday he feels he has unfinished business at Stamford Bridge.
    GREAL BOOST
According to the Mail Online Jack Grealish will join Manchester City TODAY.
And while the signing will not initially please United fans it could be a deal that helps them.
City are also said to be interested in Harry Kane who wants out of Tottenham.
But with £100million set to be spent on Grealish a move for Kane as well looks unlikely.
That leaves the Red Devils free to try and tie up a deal for the England skipper, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer eager to add a striker to his ranks.
And with  Andreas Pereira, Diogo Dalot, Axel Tuanzebe, Brandon Williams, Dan James and Phil Jones set to be moved on there may be the right funds available for United to ready a bid.
    DEAL NEARLY DONE
Jack Grealish will sign for Manchester City TODAY, according to the Mail Online.
The report states the 25-year-old is due in Manchester today after returning from an extended summer break this week following England’s Euro 2020 campaign.
The fee is expected to be a British transfer record of around £100million, as City look to claim the Champions League title that has so far eluded them.
Grealish had returned to Villa training on Monday and Tuesday, bit now a deal with the Manchester club is set to be wrapped up today.

    VARANE UPDATE
A visa issue may be preventing Raphael Varane from playing in the 2021/22 Premier League opener against bitter rivals Leeds United.
According to the Daily Telegraph, United signed Varane on an initial £34million deal that could rise to £42m, but the transfer is being held up.
The France international needs to get a Visa through following Brexit in order to be allowed into the country, meaning a medical has not yet been completed and he is yet to put pen to paper on a contract.
However there are not thought to be any major issues, it’s just a matter of waiting for the paperwork to come through so the deal can finally get over the line
    GETTY IMAGES
    OD MAN OUT
Real Madrid are looking to include a buy-back clause in any agreement to sell Arsenal target Martin Odegaard
That is according to ABC, who claim that Real boss Carlo Ancelotti has told Odegaard that he is part of his plans but is not guaranteed a regular role.
That is because Ancelotti looks set to continue with Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Casemiro in his midfield.
This has resulted in the attacking midfielder pondering a potential return to the Gunners.
However, Los Blancos are demanding £42.5million as well as a buy-back clause, something that may put the north Londoners off
    OFFER REJECTED
Arsenal have attempted to swap Alexandre Lacazette and Hector Bellerin for Lautaro Martinez but Inter Milan turned them down.
That is according to SportMediaset, who claim the Gunners have opened talks for Lautaro, but both the Italian champions and the player are yet to be persuaded.
To make matters worse, the Argentina international is not keen on moving to the Premier League and wants to play in the Champions League next season.
The 23-year-old prefers a move to LaLiga and Real Madrid, Barcelona as well as Atletico Madrid have all shown interest
    SAFE BERT
Arsenal hero Robert Pires is certain fellow Frenchman Raphael Varane will succeed at Manchester United.
Pires said: “Yes, Raphael will certainly adapt to English football.
“Surely there will be matches in which he will suffer physical clashes, but he is now a player of great experience.
“I see him well paired with [Harry] Maguire, they will form an excellent duo.
“On my part there was a bit of surprise. In my opinion, president [Florentino] Perez wants to renew his team, but replacing [Sergio] Ramos and Varane will not be easy.
“For sure, the signing of David Alaba is a good choice”
    RICE TOUCH
West Ham star Declan Rice has returned for pre-season training with his club.
Rice was on holiday following a stunning Euro 2020 display with England.
The midfielder has been linked with a move to Manchester United as well as other clubs, like Chelsea.
According to the Daily Telegraph, however, the 22-year-old has returned to practice and is not expected to push for a move this summer
    TRIPPIER BOOST
Roma player Alessandro Florenzi has been identified as a potential replacement for Kieran Trippier at Atletico Madrid.
That is according to AS, who report that Atletico would be open to signing Florenzi, who spent last season on loan at Paris Saint-Germain.
Manchester United are interested in landing Trippier but Atleti are reluctant to actually let him go.
However, if Diego Simeone finds a top successor then that would open the way for United to land the England international
    GETTY IMAGES
    MADDISON BID
Arsenal have stepped up their interest in Leicester star James Maddison.
According to Football London, the Gunners have offered a player-plus-cash deal for Maddison but it is not yet known what player they have included in the offer.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles has previously been linked with a move to the King Power Stadium.
However, the Foxes haven’t given the impression that they’re keen to let the England international go to a Premier League rival
    HAALAND RECAP
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s new contract could put Manchester United in pole position to sign Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland next year, reports SunSport’s Phil Thomas.
United narrowly missed out on Haaland when he left Red Bull Salzburg for Dortmund almost 18 months ago.
The 21-year-old has a close relationship with fellow countryman Solskjaer and was unwilling to take the chance on moving to Old Trafford if the manager was about to be sacked.
Both the star striker and his father, former Manchester City star Alf-Inge, admitted they did not want to risk working under a boss they had no vibe for.
The United boss gave the Norway international his senior debut at Molde.
And now that his own long-term future has been secured after signing a new three-year deal last week, the Red Devils’ top brass hope that will leave them as favourites to sign Haaland next summer.
Haaland has also been linked with Manchester City and Chelsea, who have made him their top transfer target
    IN A HARRY
Manchester United are monitoring Tottenham star striker Harry Kane.
Kane was given extra time off after starring for England at Euro 2020 but he failed to report for pre-season training two days in a row, leaving the club “disappointed”.
According to ESPN, United continue to hold an interest in the star centre-forward but would have to fend off rivals Manchester City.
Chelsea have also been previously linked with the England captain, who has informed Spurs of his intention to leave
    GREALISH BOOST
Manchester City’s whopping £100million bid for Jack Grealish is expected to be accepted by Aston Villa.
That is according to Sky Sports, who claim that Villa have yet to formally respond to City’s offer but they are willing to allow Grealish to leave.
If the forward agrees to join the Citizens then he will become the most expensive signing in Premier League history.
The previous record is held by star midfielder Paul Pogba, who re-joined Manchester United for £93.25m from Juventus in 2016
    GREAL BANTER
As reported yesterday, Jack Grealish has returned to pre-season training with Aston Villa.
Grealish came back from holiday following an exciting Euro 2020 campaign with England.
The forward has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester City, who have made a £100million bid.
Villa fans addressed that speculation upon meeting the 25-year-old in the training ground.
And some of them decided to poke some fun by telling the England international that City are a small club and asking him if he wants to join a team that was “formed 10 years ago”

    LUKAKU REMINDER
Chelsea have had an £85million bid, which included Marcos Alonso, for Romelu Lukaku rejected by Inter Milan, according to Sky Sports.
The Blues are in the market for a new centre-forward this summer after Timo Werner’s disappointing debut campaign at Stamford Bridge.
And former Chelsea player Lukaku is the man they want, with Thomas Tuchel’s side also linked with Borussia Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland.
The star striker spent three years in west London between 2011 and 2014, but made just 15 appearances before moving on to Everton.
But Chelsea are keen to bring the Belgium international back and are likely to return with a better offer
    KANE RECAP
Tottenham star Harry Kane didn’t turn up to training for a second day in a row, SunSport’s THOMAS BLOW reports.
Kane is reportedly attempting to force a move away from north London this summer and has informed Spurs of his intentions, with Manchester City interested.
Manchester United and Chelsea have also been previously linked with the star striker.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the England international has bunked off work in an attempt to leave the club.
The Three Lions captain did not report back for training on Monday either, with the north Londoners reportedly fining the player.
The 28-year-old appears to have gone AWOL due to chairman Daniel Levy not honouring an alleged ‘gentleman’s agreement’ allowing him to leave
    WHERE THERE’S A WILL
Newcastle have agreed to pay £22million for Arsenal’s Joe Willock, according to the Telegraph.
The Gunners have reportedly set a £22million price tag on the 21-year-old, which Newcastle are prepared to pay.
The Magpies were thought to have preferred another loan deal for Willock due to being short of cash, but the Telegraph report they are prepared to pay more than £20million for the midfielder.
Willock enjoyed a successful loan campaign at Newcastle last season, scoring eight goals in 14 games for the Toon Army, with a return to Tyneside looking likely, whether it be on loan or a permanent deal.

    TALKS BEGUN
Arsenal have opened talks with Lille over the signing of Renato Sanches, according to TMV.
The French Champions are willing to sell the Portugese international, but are holding out for a reported £30million.
The Gunners are on the lookout for a creative midfielder as they continue their search for a long-term replacement for Mesut Ozil, with Martin Odegaard and James Maddison also being linked with the club.
But talks have reportedly begun for the 23-year-old who played 29 times for Lille last season, as well as all four of Portugal’s games at Euro 2020.
    MISSING MAN
Tottenham star Harry Kane has NOT turned up to training for a second day running, THOMAS BLOW reports.
The 28-year-old is thought to be attempting to force a move away from North London this summer, with Manchester City interested.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Kane has bunked off work in an attempt to leave the club.
The England captain did not report back for training on Monday either, with Tottenham reportedly fining the player.
Kane appears to have gone AWOL due to chairman Daniel Levy not honouring an alleged ‘gentleman’s agreement’ allowing him to leave.
    FULL STORY

    BRUCE WANTS WILLOCK
Despite Newcastle’s interest in Aarom Ramsey, the Magpies are still keen to tie up a loan deal for Joe Willock.
Willock impressed on loan at St. James’ Park last season, scoring eight goals in 14 games for the Toon Army, but Arsenal are set to be stalling and are yet to make a decision on Willock’s future.
When quizzed on whether there is a cut-off point for the Willock transfer happening, Bruce said:
    “No.
“But I would kick myself if it happened [Willock left on loan] and we didn’t get him.
“So no I haven’t got a cut-off point in my head.”
    UNSELLABLE
The arrival of Raphael Varane at Old Trafford has pushed Phil Jones even further down the centre-back pecking order.
The 29-year-old has not played for the Red Devils since January 2020 and has spent the last 13 months out injured with a knee injury.
With Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly all preferred to Jones, United are eager to offload the former Blackburn Rovers man.
West Ham have been linked with a move for Jones but so far according to the Manchester Evening News he is proving to be unsellable.
Jones’ injury record is putting clubs off, and with another two years still left on his contract he could be stuck in limbo when the new season starts.
    ROM COM
Atalanta centre-back Cristian Romero is edging ever-closer towards a move to Tottenham, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian said have reportedly accepted a £42million bit for the Argentinian Copa America winner.
The 23-year-old will join as a long-term replacement for Toby Alderweireld who left the club last month with Spurs desperate to get a deal over the line as quickly as possible so Romero is fit for the season opener against Manchester City in eleven days time.
Atalanta are reportedly lining up Juventus centre-back Merih Demiral as a replacement for Romero on an initial loan deal with an option to buy.
    TAKE YOUR PICK
Clubs hoping for a bargain in the final weeks of the transfer window still have multiple Premier League winners, full internationals, and Lionel Messi available for a freebie swoop.
A plethora of free agents are available on the eve of the new season and, here, SunSport have compiled a line-up of the best.

    NO TRIPPING UP
Manchester United have received a huge boost in their pursuit of Kieran Trippier, William Pugh reports.
That is because Atletico Madrid have reportedly lined up Roma’s Alessandro Florenzi as a replacement for the England hero.
The England full-back has been linked with the Red Devils for weeks, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen on the former Spurs player.
And the 30-year-old is said to be desperate to move to Old Trafford.
However, with two years remaining on his contract, Atletico are digging their heels in on the fee.
They are reportedly holding out for his £34million release clause to be triggered.
But they are still making plans for Trippier’s departure, according to Spanish outlet AS.
    FULL STORY
    HART TO THE HOOPS
Joe Hart is set to sign for Celtic in a deal worth a reported £1million.
The 34-year-old has spent the last year in North London with Spurs but has barely featured behind club captain Hugo Lloris.
And now the former England No.1 is set to sign for the Hoops with a medical scheduled in for today.
    He’ll sign a contract worth a reported £15,000-a-week.
    NO WAY JOSE
Nemanja Matic will not be swapping Manchester for Rome, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
After Jose Mourinho’s attempts to sign Granit Xhaka failed, some reports suggested the ex-United boss had turned his attention to Nemanja Matic.
But Romano has confirmed Matic is not on Roma’s radar, with the 33-year-old Serbian international stay to stay at Old Trafford this summer.
    ANOTHER U-TURN
Joe Willock may join Granit Xhaka as another Gunner to stay at the Emirates despite being widely linked with a move away.
Newcastle are reportedly interested in a deal to sign former Gunner Aaron Ramsey from Juventus, according to Goal.
The Welshman is likely to leave Turin this summer after two seasons in Italy with the Old Lady keen to get the 30-year-old off the wage books.
And if Ramsey does join up with Steve Bruce at St. James’ Park it could mean Joe Willock stays at the Emirates to fight for his place in Mikel Arteta’s squad.
    BID REJECTED
Chelsea have had a £85million bid plus Marcos Alonso for Romelu Lukaku rejected by Inter Milan, according to Sky Sports.
The Blues are in the market for a new striker this summer after Timo Werner’s disappointing debut campaign at Stamford Bridge.
And former Chelsea man Lukaku is the man they want, with Thomas Tuchel’s side also linked with Erling Haaland.
The 28-year-old Belgian international spent three years at the Blues between 2011 and 2014, but made just 15 appearances before moving on to Everton.
But Chelsea are keen to bring Lukaku back to the Bridge and are likely to return with a better offer for the Belgian.

Inter have received an approach from Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku. Bid around €100m including Marcos Alonso as part of the negotiation. 🔵 #CFCInter board turned down the proposal as they want to keep Lukaku – they’ve always considered Romelu as “untouchable”. @DiMarzio 🇧🇪 #Inter— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) August 2, 2021

    UNITED MONITOR KANE
Manchester United are monitoring Harry Kane’s transfer situation, according to reports.

But today Kane failed to report for pre-season training, leaving the club “disappointed”, according to Sky Sports.
ESPN claim that Man Utd hold an interest in Kane, but would have to fend off rivals Manchester City.
    SAM’S THE MAN
Arsenal and Liverpool target Samuel Umtiti has agreed to leave Barcelona on loan, according to reports.
According to Sports, the Frenchman wants to be able to decide where he wants to play next season.
Umtiti has accepted that his playing time could be limited at Barca this season.

    MOUR DEALS
Roma boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly set his sights on Borussia Dortmund ace Thomas Delaney after missing out on Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka, writes JUSTIN LAWRENCE.
Dortmund are willing to cash in on Delaney and have slapped a £9million price tag on the Danish ace, according to German news outlet Bild.
This has alerted Mourinho who’s ready to snap up the 29-year-old in a bid to bolster his Roma squad ahead of the upcoming Serie A season, Bild claim.
But the ex-Manchester United boss will have to wait and see if Delaney signs a new deal with Dortmund.
Xhaka had been Mourinho’s first choice but his hopes of signing the Swiss star were dashed when the Gunners revealed he’s staying put.
    JESSE STAY
Jesse Lingard looks set to stay at Manchester United, according to reports.
According to Sky Sports, West Ham believe think they have a ‘ten per cent’ chance of signing Lingard.
The midfielder had a brilliant second half of last season, scoring nine goals for the Hammers.
And managed to force his way back into England contention for the Euros squad.

    TOP 10
Manchester United are hoping to sell 10 players this month to fund moves for Atletico Madrid star Kieran Trippier and Rennes ace Eduardo Camavinga.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to assemble a squad capable of challenging for the Premier League title after back-to-back top-four finishes.
According to ESPN, the Red Devils are looking to recoup £100million, with Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial, Phil Jones and Diogo Dalot up for sale.
Andreas Pereira, Daniel James, Alex Telles, Axel Tuanzebe and Brandon Williams are also believed to have been deemed as surplus to requirements.
And the Manchester giants are also said to be prepared to cash in on Paul Pogba, who has just a year left to run on his contract
    NOT FINE
Tottenham are going to fine star striker Harry Kane for not showing up for pre-season training earlier today.
Kane was scheduled to return to practice on Monday following a short holiday he took after Euro 2020.
According to Sky Sports, Spurs are going to fine the England international and it is understood the club is “disappointed by his actions.
Kane had told the north Londoners he wanted to leave this summer with Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea all interested in signing him
    JESS DO IT
Liverpool ace Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been advised to follow in Manchester United player Jesse Lingard’s footsteps and seek a loan deal away in order to find himself.
That is according to former Reds star Glenn Johnson, who believes West Ham would have been a great prospect for Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Johnson told BettingOdds.com: “Yes. Possibly. West Ham’s a fantastic football club and they will let Alex enjoy his football.
“Hopefully his body can get through all of next season. But I think West Ham United and Oxlade-Chamberlain would be a perfect fit.
“Moyes would take the shackles off him, let him go and enjoy himself, and see what he can do. Touch wood Alex can stay fit and get back to his best”
    LOC & LOAD
Chelsea could be set to hand Arsenal a major transfer boost in their bid to sign Sassuolo ace Manuel Locatelli.
Reports from Italy suggest that Juventus are interested in Blues player Tiemoue Bakayoko.
Bakayoko has fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge in the last three years having been sent out on loan to AC Milan, Monaco and Napoli.
However, Locatelli still seems to prefer a move to Juve this summer
    LUK OUT
Inter Milan star Romelu Lukaku is back on Chelsea’s radar during the summer transfer window.
In fact, Lukaku has jumped back to the top of the Blues’ wanted list of strikers, according to the Daily Telegraph.
That is because Borussia Dortmund are not willing to sell star centre-forward Erling Haaland.
However, Inter are also not keen on offloading the Belgium international, even though there will be a major overhaul following the coronavirus’ financial impact
    GETTY IMAGES
    RAES IS ON
Arsenal are preparing an offer of €30 million (£25.6million) for Lyon star Bruno Guimaraes
According to Globo Esporte, Guimaraes is one of the Gunners’ top midfield targets this summer.
The north Londoners have held a long-standing interest in the 23-year-old and may renew their bid in the next few weeks.
Arsenal chief executive Edu reportedly tried to land the Brazil international from Athletico Paranaense back in January 2020 but he opted to sign for the Ligue 1 outfit instead.
    OL OUT
AC Milan star Olivier Giroud revealed he left Chelsea because “the time had come”.
Giroud said: “The time had come to leave Chelsea and discover a new league.
“God wanted me to play for Milan. This is one of the biggest clubs in the world and I really believe in the project here.
“We’ve got what it takes to have a very good Champions League campaign”
    TRANSFER LISTED
Arsenal are reportedly set to sell six players during the summer transfer window.
That is according to the Daily Express, who report that Hector Bellerin, Eddie Nketiah, Willian, Sead Kolasinac, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Reiss Nelson may leave this month.
The Gunners are looking to add to their squad before the transfer window slams shut at the end of the month.
However, the north Londoners’ boss Mikel Arteta will need to sell first in order to raise funds
    OD MAN OUT
Real Madrid could sell Martin Odegaard during the summer transfer window.
That is according to Football London, who report that new Real boss Carlo Ancelotti has some doubts about Odegaard’s role in the team.
The playmaker wants to stay and fight for a place in Ancelotti’s starting line-up but it seems like the Italian will continue with Toni Kroos, Casemiro and Luka Modric in the middle of the park.
The Norway international spent the second half of last season on loan at the Gunners, who wish to sign him on a permanent basis this summer
    GETTY IMAGES
    GREAL BLOW
Manchester City’s hopes of landing Tottenham star Harry Kane this summer will end with the arrival of Jack Grealish.
City submitted a £100million offer for Grealish and look to finalise their first major signing of the summer.
According to Manchester Evening News, a move for Kane will no longer be financially viable if the Aston Villa star joins.
That is unless the Citizens make significant player sales in the summer transfer window.
The Spurs superstar is valued at more than £100m by the north Londoners, who do not want to sell their talismanic striker.
However, the 28-year-old didn’t show up for training today and thus a possible transfer saga could get messy
    POCH ON POGBA
Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino insists he already has ‘plenty of players’ amid rumours suggesting Manchester United star Paul Pogba may move to Paris.
Pochettino said: “You see the list of the players that we have at home, we have plenty of players.
“Half of the squad is at home. A few are on holiday.
“I think the performance was good, I am happy, and I don’t want to talk about names of players who are in other clubs”
    RODGERS ON MADDISON
Leicester ace James Maddison wants to stay at King Power Stadium, according to Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers.
Rodgers said: “In conversations with the club, we don’t have to sell. That’s something that’s been made clear.
“The players want to stay. It’s a really exciting time at the club.
“There’s lots of gossip and speculation around but I’m loving working with the guys here, they love being here, and we certainly have no need to sell. So I would suspect we’re looking to keep our best players”
    TOP GUI
Liverpool are set to rival Arsenal for Real Betis ace Guido Rodriguez.
According to Fichajes, the Reds are keeping tabs on Rodriguez as they are looking for a midfielder to take Georginio Wijnaldum’s place.
The 27-year-old helped Argentina win this summer’s Copa America.
And now a bidding war could be on the cards
    GETTY IMAGES
    NEVER SAY NEVES
Manchester United target Ruben Neves has spoken to Wolves TV on new boss Bruno Lage.
Neves has been linked with a move to United with Paul Pogba’s future up in the air, but it seems the midfielder is happy to stay at Molineux.
The Portugal international said: “He’s a very good coach. I am really happy to work with him.
“I spoke with a few friends when he signed for Wolves – that were players in Benfica and are good friends of mine – and they said a lot of good things about him.
“I can see it now. He’s a very good coach with lots of good ideas. I think that when things are completely together, we’ll be a really hard team to beat”
    WHEN IN ROM
Tottenham are close to signing Atalanta star Cristian Romero in the summer transfer window.
That is according to Football London, who claim that discussions have taken place between the two sides and an agreement close to £43million is close.
The deal is in its final stages, with Romero keen to join the north Londoners and the centre-back has already agreed terms with the club.
With an agreement in principle between the two clubs, the transfer is now just awaiting Atalanta’s chase for a replacement
    ARSENAL TRANSFER PLANS
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has told £50million arrival Ben White that he won’t be his last significant transfer this summer, according to the Athletic.
The Gunners have been linked with a move for Inter Milan centre-forward Lautaro Martinez, while James Maddison and Martin Odegaard have also been mentioned as Arsenal targets.
Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares have already been brought in by Arteta this summer.
But with the promise of more to come then Arsenal fans can start to get excited about the 2021/22 season
    HAALAND EXCLUSIVE
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s new contract could put Manchester United in pole position to sign Borussia Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland next year, reports SunSport’s Phil Thomas.
United narrowly missed out on Haaland when he left Red Bull Salzburg for Dortmund 18 months ago.
The 21-year-old has a close relationship with his fellow countryman and was unwilling to take the chance on moving to Old Trafford if the manager was about to be sacked.
Both the star striker and his father, former Manchester City star Alf-Inge, admitted they did not want to risk working under a boss they had no vibe for if Solskjaer was axed.
The United boss gave the Norway international his debut as a teenager at Molde.
And now that his own long-term future has been secured after signing a new three-year contract last week, the Red Devils’ top brass hope that will leave them as favourites to sign Haaland next summer
    GETTY IMAGES
    KOUNDE RECAP
Tottenham ace Davinson Sanchez is reportedly in talks over a transfer to Sevilla to replace Chelsea target Jules Kounde, according to SunSport’s Dylan Terry.
The Blues are closing in on a deal for Kounde having already had a bid of £30million plus Kurt Zouma rejected.
And according to The Mail, if Kounde’s transfer is confirmed, talks could intensify as the LaLiga side search for someone to fill his boots.
And the France international’s replacement could be Sanchez
    KANE RECAP
Harry Kane didn’t report for Tottenham training this morning.
That is according to Sky Sports, who are reporting that Kane has not arrived at Spurs’ training ground.
The star striker was due to report back following an extended holiday after England’s Euro 2020 campaign.
The 28-year-old publicly told the north Londoners in May he wanted to leave the club with Manchester City keen on signing the England captain.
And with Kane failing to show up for training this morning this transfer saga could get messy…
