Bivol is keeping that stout defence up and running.

He is managing to frustrate Bivol who would have wanted to put this to bed by now.

Zinad has managed to come back into the fight now after being put down in the first.
This has turned into quite an even fight.
Bivol looks solid but has taken his foot off the gas a bit now.
Copy linkCopiedDmitry Bivol vs Malik Zinad (Round 3)
Bivol’s defence is so solid, Zinad is struggling to get punches through.
He is boxing behind his guard and getting some big hits off.
The champion is often coaxing his opponent into the corner and spraying him with big shots.
Copy linkCopiedDmitry Bivol vs Malik Zinad (Round 2)
This is a real slugfest between the pair.
Some hard hits are landing on both boxers.
Bivol catches Zinad well on the nose, causing it to bleed.
The champion looks like someone who was preparing for some time for this evening’s fight.
Copy linkCopiedDmitry Bivol vs Malik Zinad (Round 1)
Both fighters let loose from the off.
Zinad makes a good start but is dropped by a left from Bivol.
Both fighters are getting punches through the defence and landing some good headshots.

Before the final two fights of the Hearn vs Warren grudge night, we have a little side attraction.
Malik Zinad comes in as a late replacement for the fight and now has the chance of a big upset.
He could make a real name for himself here.

Jack Grealish was the first to send his best wishes to Hamzah Sheeraz before his bout in Riyadh.
The British boxer’s victory takes him 20-0 in his pro career.

Copy linkCopiedAustin Williams vs Hamzah Sheeraz (Round 11)
Williams has Sheeraz up against the ropes and the British boxer hits the American with a barrage of punches to send him across the ring.
As Hamzah continues to throw punches, the referee steps in to stop the fight as he feels Williams has had enough.
Two points for the win for Sheeraz, which are doubled due to him being the captain of the Queensbury team.
Copy linkCopiedHamzah Sheeraz wins by TKO
Copy linkCopiedAustin Williams vs Hamzah Sheeraz (Round 10)
Sheeraz has a big round and almost puts the icing on the cake at the end of it.
Williams finds some more fuel in the tank and comes at the British boxer but a whipped right hand from Sheeraz sends the American to the canvas.
He manages to get back to his feet just before the ten count is relieved, as is Eddie Hearn, to hear the bell to he can return to his corner.
Copy linkCopiedAustin Williams vs Hamzah Sheeraz (Round 9)
Great start to the round from Austin Williams.
He comes out of his corner and fires of a flurry of punches to the body of Hamzah Sheeraz.
Sheeraz is bozing smart and when he comes onto him, he is hitting Williams with some well-timed big shots.
Despite all his best efforts, at the end of the round, Williams sits in his corner with blood streaming from his mouth.
Copy linkCopiedAustin Williams vs Hamzah Sheeraz (Round 8)
Williams is trying everything in his locker to open up the defence of Sheeraz.
The English boxer catches him with a sweet uppercut which Frank Warren seemed to enjoy.
Austin Williams right eye is almost completely closed now, he is finiding it impossible to avoid that left jab of Hamzah Sheeraz.
Copy linkCopiedAustin Williams vs Hamzah Sheeraz (Round 7)
Williams is getting more desperate at the fight goes on.
When it gets to this stage of the fight, knowing a knockdown is needed to win it, the haymakers come out to play.
Sheeraz continues with his strong jab and is coming through with some lovely counter combos which his opponent is feeling.

Copy linkCopiedAustin Williams vs Hamzah Sheeraz (Round 6)
The constant left jabs from Sheeraz are causing Williams’ right eye to close up now.
Sheeraz is following up those left jabs with some big right hands and is slowly taking his game up a few gears.
Unless he can turn this fight on its head, you wonder if a stoppage is just around the corner in what has become somewhat of a one-sided fight.
Copy linkCopiedAustin Williams vs Hamzah Sheeraz (Round 5)
Williams is really struggling to find an answer to Sheeraz’s jab.
He is using it well to keep his opponent away from him and make him resort to some wild swings.
You have to wonder how Austin Williams is going to get close enough to land some of these hits.
Copy linkCopiedAustin Williams vs Hamzah Sheeraz (Round 4)
Sheeraz looks to keep attacking behind his jab from the centre of the ring and lands some big hits.
The height difference is a problem for Williams as he cannot get close when he wants to but manages to land some good hits himself.
Sheeraz is edging this fight but has already seen what Williams is capable of if he lets his guard down.
Copy linkCopiedAustin Williams vs Hamzah Sheeraz (Round 3)
What a great comeback from Sheeraz.
He was genuinely rocked in the previous round but comes out from his corner to dominate the third round.
Sheeraz lands some big blows which most certainly have hurt Williams and put him back in the driving seat in this fight.
Copy linkCopiedAustin Williams vs Hamzah Sheeraz (Round 2)
Williams catches Sheeraz with a flush hit and it rocks the Englishman.
Austin Williams looks to follow it up with some more big hits but Sheeraz tries to regather himself in the centre of the ring.
The bell cannnot come soon enough for him but the Matchroom man definitely took that round.
Copy linkCopiedAustin Williams vs Hamzah Sheeraz (Round 1)
Williams is struggling to work Sheeraz out in the early stages.
He is trying to come in from the side to land some punches.
Hamzah is landing the far more telling punches and eases the first.

Start time: Main event expected 12.15am BST/ 7.15pm ET
TV channels: DAZN PPV/ TNT Sports Box Office
CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO WELCOME OFFERSHrgovic vs Dubois – Round 1
Entertaining first round from both men.
Not seeing much of the Dubois jab at all while Hrgovic has landed some big shots already.
Dubois will have to stay seriously disciplined in there because if he keeps getting caught like that it’ll be an early night.
Hrgovic finding his range with both the jab and the right hand. Solid start for the Croat.
    Copy linkCopiedAJ ringside
Anthony Joshua has been ringside all night but he’ll definitely have a special interest in this one.
AJ is likely to fight the winner of this bout for the IBF title, which is likely to be stripped from Oleksandr Usyk as he will rematch Tyson Fury.
Speaking earlier this week, Eddie Hearn revealed the plan for AJ probably involves these two.
Hearn said: “The whole world would love to see that but obviously the priority for AJ is to fight for and win the world heavyweight title.
“There’s a good chance that could be available in September, we’ll have to see.
“But I think AJ’s next opponent will definitely be decided probably in the early hours of Sunday morning after the 5v5.”
    Copy linkCopiedHere they come
Daniel Dubois is the first fighter on the way to the ring as we creep into Sunday morning.
Dynamite comes to the ring with a bit of Michael Jackson ‘Bad’ blaring in the background.
Hrgovic goes totally the other way with his entrance music – I’m not up on my Croatian music but it sounds like a Balkan Guns N Roses.
Copy linkCopiedDaniel Dubois vs Filip Hrgovic NEXT
Huge heavyweight bout coming up soon, with the IBF interim title on the line.
These big man have been on the periphery of world title contention for a couple of years now – Dubois losing a controversial title fight to Oleksandr Usyk – and the winner of this one will take a huge step towards the top table.
Copy linkCopiedDmitry Bivol vs Artur Beterbiev CONFIRMED
Turki Alalshikh heads into the ring and first congratulates Zinad for hanging tough with Bivol, inviting him back to fight in Saudi again for his performance.
His Excellency then gets down to business – announcing that Dmitry Bivol vs Artur Beterbiev WILL take place on October 12 for all the belts.
Copy linkCopiedBivol BEATS Zinad by TKO!
Well, the quality really shone through there. Bivol landed a very crisp jab and smelled blood – he immediately pounced on Zinad and quickly pushed up through the gears.
The champ landed a number of thundering shots before the ref jumped in to stop the fight in the corner, securing his fist KO in six years.
A tougher night than expected for Bivol, who will probably appreciate getting in a few rounds against a tough and game opponent.
Bivol leaves with his belts and Zinad will leave with much more respect than he entered with.

Copy linkCopiedBivol vs Zinad – Round 6
It’s all over – Dmitry Bivol suddenly turns it on and it’s done!
Copy linkCopiedBivol vs Zinad – Round 5
Zinad is showing a lot of courage in this one and not many thought he’d get this far.
Closer round that one with a couple of good shouts landed by both – probably Bivol gets the edge, though, to make it 5-0.
Copy linkCopiedBivol vs Zinad – Round 4
An easy 4-0 for Bivol who, again, just takes his time, shows his class and picks and chooses some stinging shots.
A bit of needle after the bell sounds with the two fighters pushing their heads together – not exactly sure what went on there but Zinad is definitely in this, even though the rounds are ticking by.
Copy linkCopiedBivol vs Zinad – Round 3
The champ keeping extremely patient but as soon as he says a gap he’s exploiting it, firing off three and four-shot salvos that the challenger has no chance to defend.
Another round in the bank for Bivol and Zinad returns to his corner with blood pouring from his nose. Many thought it would be over for him by now.
Copy linkCopiedBivol vs Zinad – Round 2
Bivol is still in first or second gear here but, to be fair to him, Malik Zinad is trying to work behind the jab and stay patient.
Zinad’s trainer can also be heard having words with some of his assistant’s in the corner – telling them to shut up.
He wants his man to only have one set of instructions.
Copy linkCopiedBivol vs Zinad – Round 1
Zanid enjoyed a first couple of minutes to the round before Bivol landed an absolute peach of a shot to knock the challenger down.
10-8 round for the champ and that one punch showed there are levels between these two – Zinad has his work cut out.
    Copy linkCopiedBivol vs Zinad
Here we go, both men are on their way to the ring for the fourth of six fights we’ll be watching tonight.
After this one we’ll have Daniel Dubois vs Filip Hrgovic and then the main event – Deontay Wilder vs Zhilei Zhang.
Copy linkCopiedDmitry Bivol vs Malik Zinad
The WBA light-heavyweight title is on the line next in Riyadh.
This fight won’t count towards the Queensberry vs Matchroom 5v5 card.
    Copy linkCopiedAll smiles from Warren
This man can pretty much relax for the rest of the evening knowing he can’t lose.
He has Daniel Dubois and Zhilei Zhang to come later tonight.

Copy linkCopiedSheeraz BEATS Williams by KO
Double points for captain Sheeraz and double points for the knockout.
    It’s 6-0 to Queensberry Promotions.
Matchroom have been absolutely destroyed and with two fights to go they can only draw 6-6.

Copy linkCopiedSheeraz vs Williams – Round 10
    Williams KNOCKED DOWN!
Short right hand on the bell by Hamzah sits Williams down.
Williams was giving it a much better go in the 10th round but he’s far too square and Sheeraz catches him coming in again.
Sheeraz doesn’t want to get too relaxed in there with the final rounds to come. He has his man hurt.

Copy linkCopiedSheeraz vs Williams – Round 9
Ammo WIlliams is giving it his all in there but he looks like he could get stopped if Hamzah Sheeraz decides to put his foot on the gas.
How many more jabs can Williams take? Sheeraz lands a lovely right hand after a jab and it stumbles Williams.
The volume has come from Williams but as usual the quality has come from Sheeraz.

Sheeraz doing well again in the early exchanges after coming under some early fire from Williams.
Both men now trying to work in close and as they come together, Hamzah lands a lovely left hand which snaps Williams head to the left.
You can’t fault Williams’ will at all, he’s still giving it everything in there.
But Hamzah looks to be a class above. 7-1 Sheeraz.

Copy linkCopiedSheeraz vs Williams – Round 7
Sheeraz again with a nice calm round in there, landing jabs at will while Williams looks to have run out of ideas.
His right eye is swelling and Sheeraz’s confidence is only increasing in there.
Williams struggling to land the shots he did in the second round.
It’s getting harder and harder and Matchroom are looking at their third defeat on the spin.
Copy linkCopiedSheeraz vs Williams – Round 6
Sheeraz really working things out with the jab right now and Williams’ right eye is starting to swell.
Again, a lot of the movement and activity is coming from Williams but Sheeraz is having his way in there.
He’s landing jabs at will and it will soon come to the point where Williams becomes discouraged.
Sheeraz comes forward and lunges to land a one-two but the second shot just grazes the top of Williams’ dipping head. 5-1 Sheeraz.

Copy linkCopiedSheeraz vs Williams – Round 5
Again Williams starts fast but is caught by a strong left hand by Sheeraz.
Certainly the cleanest shots so far have been landed by Sheeraz but most of the activity is coming from Williams.
Sheeraz’s guard is proving too difficult for Williams to penetrate so far.
Williams tries to land another massive left but Sheeraz is handy in moving away from it.
Copy linkCopiedSheeraz vs Williams – Round 4
Williams again with some wild exchanges but he gets through with a sold left hand.
Sheeraz looking to keep things tight once again as he tries to stay away from Williams’ winding left hands.
Ammo just struggling to assert himself or gain the respect of Sheeraz, who just walks forward with both of his hands guarding his face.
Williams struggling to get on the inside with any purpose.

Copy linkCopiedSheeraz vs Williams – Round 3
Williams, wild as anything, comes out and tries to windmill himself into range but Sheeraz dodges most of it.
Sheeraz now picking his shots from range quite well but Williams feinting and giving his opponent plenty to think about.
Hamzah then lands a massive right hand but Ammo takes it well. Really precarious moments in the third round of the fight.
Copy linkCopiedSheeraz vs Williams – Round 2
Williams quickens his feet up in the second round and lands a big left hand to stumble Sheeraz back towards the ropes.
Williams tries to pounce on his man but Sheeraz holds well and keeps his guard tight.
Remember Matchroom will be desperate for a win here because a Sheeraz KO win puts victory beyond Eddie Hearn’s side.
Williams still the more active man and he’s landing some tasty shots with Sheeraz looking to cover up.

Borussia Dortmund topped their group, which had been labelled as the “group of death”, containing AC Milan, PSG and Newcastle United.
Before going on to knock out PSV Eindhoven and Atletico Madrid to book a spot in the semi-finals where they got the better of PSG.
Real Madrid topped their group in the early stages too and did so without dropping a single point.
That said, they were facing opponents they would consider far inferior to themselves in Napoli, Braga and Union Berlin.
However, they continued their imperious form throughout the competition getting past RB Leipzig, Manchester City and Bayern Munich to book their flight to the capital.
Now the biggest stage in club football awaits and so do 90,000 fans who will cram into every corner of the “home of football” to watch the clash.

Rasmus Hojlund has spoken about his debut season in the Premier League.
The Manchester United star came under a lot of scrutiny in the first half of the campaign, but managed to finish the season with 10 goals and two assists in the league.
Speaking to Danish outlet Tipsbladet, he said: “It took me some time to get started in the Premier League, but I think I have come on really well since then. I feel I have found my rhythm.
“It was frustrating leading up to my first goal in the Premier League because I felt there was a lot of focus on it and more energy could have been spent on the fact that I was top scorer in the Champions League [at the time].
“But, of course, I agree it is not very impressive to go 14 Premier League games without scoring your first goal, but I felt I had some bad luck in the league games. Fortunately, it got better.
“When I scored against Aston Villa, I felt like the curse had been lifted a bit. It was a good day because I scored my first goal and we beat a really good team.”

Chris Sutton has taken aim at Manchester United flop Antony, labelling the £86m winger as a “show pony”.
Antony managed just one goal and one assist in the Premier League this season.

    He is a show pony.

Crystal Palace are reportedly “resigned” to selling Marc Guehi this summer.
The England centre-back has long been on the transfer list for a number of top clubs and could finally get his move in the coming months.
The Mirror have reported that Palace are ready to let the defender leave with clubs such as Manchester United and Arsenal linked.
It’s also claimed that the Eagles value their star at “around £50m”.

    Copy linkCopiedAtletico eye Greenwood swap
Atletico Madrid are reportedly considering a shock swap deal to sign Mason Greenwood from Manchester United.
According to the Daily Star, Atletico are willing to swap Joao Felix for Greenwood.
Felix has spent the season on loan at Barcelona.
Atletico have struggled to get the best out of the attacking midfielder since splashing over £110m on him in 2019.
Greenwood has be on loan with Getafe this season, where he won the club’s Player of the Season award this week.
Copy linkCopiedNeville on Ten Hag future
Gary Neville has backed Erik ten Hag to stay on as Manchester United manager after winning the FA Cup.
Despite much speculation around the Dutch gaffer’s future, Neville thinks he has bought himself some more time after securing glory under the Wembley arch.
I think he’s earned the right to go on. It’s not exactly a ringing endorsement but the first consideration when removing a manager is you have the right and better replacement.
Simply there is no outstanding candidate to replace him that would make an immediate and massive upgrade.
If you have the opportunity to appoint someone like Jurgen Klopp, as Liverpool did in 2015, or Pep Guardiola, as City did in 2016, then it makes sense to change.
But there’s no-one out there who will suddenly take this United squad on to another level.
They might do somewhat better but even with Guardiola in charge, this United team wouldn’t win the Premier League.Gary NevilleThe Overlap

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta turned down the opportunity to sign Lisandro Martinez from Ajax for a fraction of the price Man Utd paid for the centre-back.
Martinez arrived at Old Trafford in 2022 in a £48.5m deal, and Arteta had been offered the star for tiny fee just 12 months earlier.
Arsenal’s loss has been the gain of the Red Devils as Martinez finally looks to have settled into the demands of the Premier League.
Although Gunners haven’t been missing the Argentine with Arteta’s side boasting the best defence in the Premier League last season.

TalkSPORT have reported that Manchester United are “confident” they can sign both Michael Olise and Jarrad Branthwaite this summer.
They claim that the pair would cost a combined fee of around £100m.
Crystal Palace are said to be holding out for at least £60m for Olise, while Everton are reportedly willing to sell Branthwaite for £40m.
Other reports have suggested that the Toffees value Branthwaite higher, but it’s claimed that Everton’s financial situation could force them into sanctioning a cut-price deal.

When asked about his dream job by Gary Neville on The Overlap, brought to you by Sky Bet, he said: “My dream is clear. I’ve always said I’d love to manage Everton or Manchester United one day. I’d probably say United.”

    Copy linkCopiedKlopp’s Sancho dig
Jurgen Klopp seemed to take aim at Manchester United’s treatment of Jadon Sancho during his farewell Q&A in Liverpool last night.
The outgoing Reds boss seemed to take a dig at United for sending Sancho out on loan after splashing nearly £80m on the player back in 2021.
He said: “If the whole world loses trust and faith in the player, the manager has to be the one behind the player.
“I cannot just buy into that ‘he’s useless’, like other clubs did by the way – buying a player for £80million and then sending him out on loan!”.

Andre Onana is reportedly considered ‘untouchable’ this summer.
The goalkeeper, who arrived at Man Utd for £47m last year, had an up and down first season at Old Trafford.
But the club are keen to keep hold of him going forward and, according to the Manchester Evening News, have decided they will not entertain any bids for the 28-year-old.
PSR rules mean a lot of United’s players are available for transfer this summer.
But Onana joins an exclusive club of ‘untouchables’ including Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo and Rasmus Hojlund.

Copy linkCopiedUnited staff offered exit incentive
Manchester United employees have been offered an early bonus if they resign by next week, according to the Athletic.

Since Ineos’ takeover the club have announced it will be compulsory for all staff to work in the London or Manchester office by June 1.
And staff were reportedly informed that those who do not wish to return to the office can QUIT and claim their usual annual bonus early for this season instead.

Copy linkCopiedUnited confident of European spot
Manchester United are reportedly confident that Uefa will not expel them from the Europa League.
There has been concern that the Red Devils will be thrown from the European competition as Uefa regulations prevent a prevent an organisation or person from wielding “decisive influence” over more than one club in the same competition.
The issue is caused by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos’ crucial ownership roles in both OGC Nice and Man Utd.
However, the Guardian have claimed that Ratcliffe and the bigwigs at Old Trafford are confident that they will maintain their place in the Europa League.
Uefa has set a deadline for clubs to satisfy their rules by next Monday.

But Uefa’s ownership rules prevents clubs with the same “decisive influence” from competing together in the same competition.
Ratcliffe and Ineos now have until Monday June 3 to satisfy Uefa that Nice and United can both compete in next season’s Europa League.

Dortmund’s sporting director Sebastian Kehl refused to rule out a move for Greenwood in an interview ahead of the Champions League final this weekend.
He said: “I don’t want to talk about any rumours at the moment because it doesn’t make sense. Let’s play the final on Saturday first.

“The reality is I am not 100% fit for either right now but I am doing everything I can and constantly working to be. I have been at this club for 10 years through highs and lows and for anyone to question my loyalty is obviously frustrating. I appreciate I haven’t updated you all with my injuries and where I’m at with my recovery but equally the most important thing to me is that we’re supporting the team playing.

Copy linkCopiedMan Utd ‘could be RELEGATED to Conference League’
Manchester United face being relegated to the Europa Conference League despite their FA Cup final triumph, reports suggest.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe has bought a 27.7 per cent stake at the Red Devils and made an £88.7m purchase of Ligue 1 side Nice in 2019.
According to L’Equipe, Ineos’ stake has come with a plan to invest a further £245m for infrastructure works which would take their ownership to more than 30 per cent.
And it may cause problems for the Old Trafford outfit under Uefa’s multi-club ownership rules.
Passing this threshold would put Ineos in violation of ownership rules and force one of the teams to be relegated to the Conference League.
Article 5.01 b. of the Uefa regulations states no individual “may simultaneously be involved, either directly or indirectly, in any capacity whatsoever in the management, administration and/or sporting performance of more than one club participating in a UEFA club competition.”
They have updated it this season to say a club that is replaced in one competition “may still be admitted to another UEFA club competition (i.e. in descending order: UEFA Europa League or UEFA Conference League) to which the relevant national association has access”.

“I am in a project and we are exactly where we want to be,” Ten Hag bristled. “We are on our way to constructing a team for the future.
“I will go with ups and downs. When I took over we were in a mess at United.
“The team is developing, the team is winning and at the end of the day it is about winning trophies and the team also plays to an identity.”

The letter continued: “We know how much this club means to so many people — in Manchester and around the world. The backing you have given to us, even during times when we fell short of the standards that we set for ourselves, has been unbelievable.
“We understand the sacrifices that you have to make to show this level of support. It does not go unnoticed or unappreciated. We know this season overall has not been good enough and we make no excuses. But we ended it in the best way possible, celebrating a trophy all together.
“We want more days like yesterday. We are excited for the future here. There is so much that we have to achieve together. We will fight to bring Manchester United the success that this special club deserves.”
It then signed off with: “Thank you for your unrivalled support. The 2023/24 Manchester United squad.”

“Yesterday’s game was yet another reminder of that. As we fought to win the FA Cup, the incredible atmosphere you generated inside Wembley helped push us over the line.
“Celebrating all together was beautiful. Fans, staff, players — all united as one. Those memories will live with us forever.
“It was a further reminder that with your support behind us, and the United badge on our chests, we can achieve great things.

Erik ten Hag and Manchester United’s squad penned an emotional open letter to fans after their FA Cup triumph.
And they admitted that this season was “not good enough” despite talking up the club’s “exciting future”.
Ten Hag, who looked set to be sacked, led his team to a brilliant display to deny Premier League champions Man City a double, double as Utd won 2-1 at Wembley.
They defied all the speculation over the Dutchman’s job to take the lead on half hour when Alejandro Garnacho, 19, pounced on a defensive mix-up between Stefan Ortega and Josko Gvardiol.

Manchester United have completed their first sale of the summer.
The Red Devils confirmed the departure of left-back Alvaro Fernandez yesterday.
Benfica have completed the £5million capture of the 21-year-old after triggering the buy option in his loan.
It is understood the deal includes both a buy-back and sell-on clause for United.

WAYNE Rooney is house-hunting in Britain’s costliest coastal hotspot in the West Country, sources say.
The England and Man United great, 38, and wife Coleen have been eyeing properties in and around the posh Devon resort of Salcombe.
Roo, axed as Birmingham City manager in January, is the new boss of Championship side Plymouth Argyle.
Salcombe, about 25 miles to the east of Plymouth, is a haven for sailors, yachties and surfers and is in the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Homes there average about £1.1million and this month it was named Britain’s most expensive coastal spot.
Mum-of-four Coleen, 38, is said to be keen on having a second family home by the coast — although the family’s Cheshire mansion would remain their principal base as the boys are enrolled in schools there.

SIR JIM RATCLIFFE looked more than a little shame-faced when he headed into Manchester United’s dressing room to congratulate his FA Cup winners.
A journalist in Wembley’s mixed zone area shouted after him as to whether Erik ten Hag would be in charge of United next week.
There were no smiles or laughs in return — instead, right-hand man Sir Dave Brailsford ushered Ratcliffe away from the naughty questioner.
It was reminiscent of Mr Burns and Smithers from The Simpsons.
Because the plan had already been hatched ahead of Saturday’s 2-1 win over Manchester City…  and this was all rather awkward.

HARRY MAGUIRE brutally took aim at Leeds United with a cheeky Instagram post following their play-off final heartbreak.
As if the heartbreak of a fall at the final hurdle wasn’t enough for Leeds fans, they were then trolled online by England star Maguire.
The centre-back posted a sly dig at the Yorkshire club on his Instagram story.
Maguire posted a photo of Southampton fans celebrating their promotion alongside the caption: “Hope everyone is having a fantastic Sunday”.
Being a Man Utd player, Maguire will be well aware of the long-standing rivalry between Leeds and the Red Devils.

Mason Greenwood released a 52-word statement on his future as Getafe fans begged him to stay with a new chant.
Greenwood’s future remains unclear as he enters the final year of his United contract.
But the forward sent a message to fans as he posted a statement on social media.
It read: “Incredibly grateful to the Getafe family and fans for an amazing season.
“Thank you for making me feel welcomed and one of your own. I enjoyed every second, alongside my teammates and club.
“A bitter sweet ending, but it was a pleasure to play for you, I wish you all the best.”

Erik ten Hag is not the only manager whose future is now up in the air.
Man City boss Pep Guardiola is expected to leave the club when his contract runs out in June 2025.
The club have enjoyed a dominant period under Guardiola – winning six Premier League titles in eight years – but now face huge uncertainty.
Not only because of Pep’s imminent exit but the 115 charges that hang over them.

Alvaro Fernandez has left Manchester United with the club completing their first bit of transfer business for the season.
Fernandez, 21, never made a senior appearance for United having been signed from the Real Madrid academy at 17.

Man Utd have reportedly held talks with Thomas Frank and Mauricio Pochettino over the manager’s role.
The Telegraph report does not clarify when the talks were held, however, and it is unclear if this was before or after the FA Cup final – which may have forced Sir Jim Ratcliffe into a rethink over the future of Erik ten Hag.
United also held talks with Kieran McKenna last week – but again, this was before Ten Hag won a second trophy in two seasons.

Veteran defender Jonny Evans also wants Ten Hag to keep his job, revealing: “He’s been amazing for me, I can only thank him for that.
“I have a good relationship with him, I hope he stays.”
Asked how all the players would feel if Ten Hag is axed, Evans, 36, added: “I don’t know. You’ll have to ask everyone that.
“Since I came back in the summer he’s had no problems trusting in me.

But United supporters’ vociferous support for Ten Hag in the wake of Saturday’s stunning 2-1 FA Cup Final victory over champions Manchester City has left Ratcliffe and his Ineos chiefs in a spin.
