“I could go into the technicalities and things but the biggest compliment that could be paid is that the England manager trusts him, the England team trust him.
“As a goalkeeper, that’s an incredible feeling and it’s one that’s not given out easily, it really isn’t.

EXCLUSIVE: Jurgen Klinsmann knows more than most about the fierce footballing rivalry between England and his homeland, writes DAVE KIDD.
The legendary German goal machine helped to break English hearts in semi-final penalty shootouts at both Italia 90 and Euro 96.
SunSport’s Euro columnist Jurgen Klinsmann is backing England to win Euro 2024
So it might surprise you to hear Klinsmann’s belief that, if Gareth Southgate’s side win this summer’s Euros, they would be popular champions in Germany — “respected and admired” as a team who have long deserved a major trophy.
Klinsmann, who will be a SunSport columnist throughout the Euros, said: “If England win it would be massively respected in Germany.
“Maybe not if they beat Germany in the final . . . but if Germany were already out and England win, it would be respected and admired.

“I sense now is the time to get your trophy that you deserve. You deserved it at the last Euros.

“To come and be a part of it, at another major championship, is an honour and a privilege. I’m delighted to be here.
“It’s different, but I think it’s just a different challenge for me. I’ve come to support the boys, the goalkeepers, the outfielders, push them in training, try and offer them a different perspective and support in that manner.
“Of course, I’d love to be playing. I’m a football player that wants to play football matches, but it’s not that role. It’s a different role.

Ex-Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick has the hump after England beat his Austria squad to their five-star Euro2024 base in Blankenhain, writes CHARLIE WYETT.
The Three Lions arrived at the Spa & Golf Resort Weimarer Land yesterday and they will tomorrow train on the pitches for the first time.
Today, they trained in front of youngsters at a German fourth division ground in the city of Jena. But they will be based in Blankenhain for the rest of the time and Rangnick failed in his bid to have Austria stay there – as England got there first.
In his four years as Leipzig coach, Rangnick used to play golf at the resort as it was his favourite course in the region – so he wanted to remain there all the time during Euro2024.
Germany also trained in Blankenhain last week but they were always set to return to their normal base which is near adidas HQ outside Nuremberg.
England will train in Blankenhain for the next four days before flying to Gelsenkirchen on Saturday afternoon for Sunday’s Euro2024 opener with Serbia.

But he did end up making the plane to Germany – where England landed on Monday.
And 24 hours later Shaw was seen taking part in training with the rest of his team-mates.
This will be a major boost for Southgate – who has no other left-footed defender in his squad.
But Shaw did have to wear a green bib which identifies him as a player not to make contact with due to him being in a fragile state.
But it’s still unsure if he’ll be available for England’s opening game of the Euros against Serbia on Sunday.

England’s group opponents Denmark flew into a pitch storm as they arrived in German, writes MARTIN LIPTON.
A new surface was laid at the Danes’ training ground in Freudenstadt, near Baden-Baden in the south-west of Germany, earlier this month.
But panicking Uefa chiefs ordered parts of the pitch to be ripped up and relaid on Monday over worries that the newly-laid grass had not set properly.
Large areas of the pitch had been discoloured and were peeled off and replaced with new rolls of grass imported from Holland.
The pitch was supposed to be relaid in April but that was delayed because of a late covering of snow, meaning hurried work on June 2.
Denmark’s squad – including including Manchester United duo Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen plus Spurs midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – left Copenhagen this morning.
Karsten Paaske, head of the Danish Groundsman Association, warned: “When you build a new grass pitch, it must have time to settle.
“That usually takes several weeks, not just a few hours and with the team training straightaway then the pitch will not have enough time to rest. If it were me, I’d have a stomach ache!”

The Dutch FA (KNVB) then announced he would not recover fully in time – and so would not be going to Germany.
A KNVB spokesman said: “Since De Jong’s entrance into the Dutch training camp, it was clear that his participation in EURO 2024 would be a race against time.
“Although it was initially hoped that he would be ready to play during the group stage of the European Championship, a planned examination yesterday and today showed that the ankle is not yet sufficiently resilient.
“Because his recovery will take more time, it was decided following consultation that Frenkie de Jong will not play in the European Championship.”
Manager Ronald Koeman added: “He won’t be fit enough to play at this level for the next three weeks. There’s no point keeping him with us.”

England have made a number of special requests to their five-star base for Euro 2024.
With players set to touchdown in Germany shortly, the Weimarer Land Spa and Golf resort in the small rural town of Blankenhain have been preparing for their arrival.
And several special requests have been made before the players check-in.Owner Matthias Grafe told Bild: “Most questions were about the air conditioning in the rooms – probably after the experience in Qatar. We had to retrofit one room. “We also ensured that English television was broadcast via satellite in the rooms.
“And we blacked out the glass fronts and windows so that the notorious yellow press couldn’t take pictures of the boys.”
In the kitchen, 35 chefs are on hand as Grafe confirmed England have chosen a bespoke menu.
And a robot waiter named Robbie goes around collecting empty plates.
There has also been changes to the rooms to make the resort a home away from home.
Grafe said: “The rooms of the players, coaches and support staff are also decorated with personal items.

“Hopefully he’s managed well, in terms of his training load and game time.

SunSport have made an XI of stars not chosen by their managers – with players out injured not included.
And the team is surely good enough to compete with the strongest nations this summer.

What a moment for Eden Hazard.
The fans queued up to see him, and boy did he deliver.
His free-kick to level the scoring at 1-0 down was what he would have dreamed about on his return to Stamford Bridge.
He dazzled throughout the night with his trickery, quick feet, and those neat little flicks that Chelsea fans loved so much during his time in this very stadium.

It’s been a night to forget for England – but at least this defeat to Iceland was in the build-up to a European Championship rather than at it.

England boss Gareth Southgate insists he has learnt a lot about his players after their two warm-up matches this week.
And despite a display he labelled ‘disjointed and disappointing’, the Three Lions coach believes the matches will stand them in good stead for what’s to come in Germany.
It was a disjointed and disappointing performance. We didn’t show enough character, but I still think it’s good for us before an international tournament. Across the two games we probably haven’t had our full side out, but we’ve been able to look at people, and we’ve been able to learn about the balance of the team.Gareth SouthgateChannel 4

Gareth Southgate has revealed that John Stones was withdrawn at half-time as a precaution after picking up a early knock against Iceland.
The defender was injured in the second minute after landing awkwardly under Jon Dagur Thorsteinsson, but played on until the break.
The England boss isn’t certain as to the extent of the damage, but believes his key defender will be fit to face Serbia a week on Sunday.

Just as England were dreaming about emulating 1966 and all that, here was a horrific reprise of 2016 instead. Copy linkCopiedFrustrated Rice looks for positives
England midfielder Declan Rice admitted that tonight’s performance and result was not the best ahead of a summer tournament, but also revealed that it would be an experience for the squad to draw on and use to their advantage.
When we have that much of the ball, have a couple of really clearcut chances, and get beat 1-0 at home just before a Euros isn’t ideal – but I’m going to take the positives from it as well. There were a lot of promising performances, I felt on the pitch we played with a good tempo, always tried to play forward and be a threat. In the end it becomes a frustration game because you’re chasing your tail, almost getting caught on the counter-attack, and that’s where we need to be more savvy.Declan RiceChannel 4

Copy linkCopiedFull time – England 0-1 Iceland
A smattering of boos greet the final whistle at Wembley as Iceland record another historic win over England.
The game was settled by Jon Dagur Thorsteinsson’s first half goal and, despite all of their possession, the one-paced Three Lions never really got going.
It’s a result and performance that will leave Gareth Southgate with plenty to consider ahead of next weekend’s Euro 2024 opener with Serbia.

    Copy linkCopiedEngland 0-1 Iceland
90+4. The game will end with two Liverpool defenders shooting wide.
First, Alexander-Arnold is agonisingly close with an arrowed, deflected effort through a crowd that almost finds the bottom corner.
From the subsequent corner and a bit of head-tennis, Gomez lines up a striker that – unsurprisingly – flies out of play.
    Copy linkCopiedEngland 0-1 Iceland
90+2. I think I preferred it when we used to play our warm-up matches against Aylesbury.
Or at least go out afterwards and make ‘the dentist’s chair’ legendary.
Saka almost creates an opening at the death, but he was rightly called as offside.
    Copy linkCopiedEngland 0-1 Iceland
    90. The board goes up to indicate five minutes of stoppage time which brings an unmerited roar of encouragement from those remaining inside Wembley.
Meanwhile, back-to-back crosses from the right are comfortably cut out by Finnsson.

And by pump, I mean exits.

    83. Bukayo Saka overhits a cross that drifts out of play for a goalkick, prompting one of the loudest collective sighs that Wembley has heard since it was rebuilt at the turn of the century.
Copy linkCopiedEngland 0-1 Iceland – Finnsson yellow card
    81. Now it’s Bukayo Saka’s turn to find himself upended by an Iceland defender.

This time it’s Hakon Arnar Haraldsson that goes into the book for impeding the Manchester United youngster.
    Copy linkCopiedEngland 0-1 Iceland
    77. Another change for the hosts brings Ebere Eze into the game with Cole Palmer making way.
While it’s great to see Eze in an England shirt again, you can’t help seeing it as another like-for-like swap.
Surely we could use this scenario to try something different for when we’re facing defeat late on at a major tournament.
    Copy linkCopiedEngland 0-1 Iceland
    75. Ramsdale takes decisive action to tip Finnsson’s up-and-under over the crossbar.
The defender responded to Toney’s half-hearted clearance with a looping effort back towards goal that initially had the goalkeeper uncertain of his position.
    Copy linkCopiedEngland 0-1 Iceland
    73. Those England substitutions have certainly changed the game – it’s all Iceland now.
The visitors force a corner with the hosts looking somewhat unstructured and pulled out of shape.
    Copy linkCopiedEngland 0-1 Iceland
    71. Marc Guehi is completely wiped out by a powerful Thorsteinsson shot to the side of the head.
There’s immediate concern for the Crystal Palace centre-back, who is made to go through the concussion checks with the England medical stuff.
Eventually, they give him the thumbs up to continue, and continue he does.
    Copy linkCopiedEngland 0-1 Iceland
    69. On the turn, Ivan Toney miscues a half-chance well wide of goal.
I don’t think the ball had even landed before I received a message from a Bournemouth-supporting pal stating “Dominic Solanke would have scored that.”
    Copy linkCopiedEngland 0-1 Iceland
    67. Another chance for Iceland as Ingason sneaks round the back at a corner to head goalwards.
Ramsdale, guilty of misjudging the initial cross, responds by making a fine save from point blank range.

    Copy linkCopiedEngland 0-1 Iceland
    65. England make four changes with Joe Gomez, Bukayo Saka, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ivan Toney all sent into action.
The quartet replace Kieran Trippier, Anthony Gordon, Kyle Walker and Harry Kane.
Iceland also make a substitution with midfielder Stefan Teitur Thordarson replacing Mikael Anderson.

    63. It should be two!
On the counter, Iceland breach the England offside trap and find themselves two-on-one.
Gudjohnsen does the right thing by squaring to goalscorer Thorsteinsson, only for the forward to slip at the vital moment and pass up a golden opportunity.
    A huge let-off for England.
    Copy linkCopiedEngland 0-1 Iceland
    61. A horde of England substitutes await on the touchline as Rice, Mainoo, Palmer, Foden, Kane and Walker take it in turns to attempt to find space in behind the Iceland defence.
    None of them succeed.

Scotland 2 Finland 2 – Clarke fails to break friendly duck as low-key farewell jamboree leaves him with huge decisions

IT WAS as low-key a farewell jamboree as Scotland could’ve had.And Steve Clarke saw his hopes of breaking his friendly duck as Scotland manager dashed as Finland came from two down to snatch a Hampden draw.Scotland raced into a two-goal lead in the second halfCredit: GettyLawrence Shankland netted the secondCredit: ReutersBut they were stunned by the visitors late onCredit: PAIt was Clarke’s 55th game as international boss – and as his side overcome a stuttering first-half to sweep into a two-goal lead, it looked like he was going to finally record a home friendly victory.Scotland last won a challenge match on Scottish soil eight years, nine games and three managers ago. March 29 2016, to be precise – a stuffy 1-0 win over Denmark under Gordon Strachan, thanks to a Matt Ritchie winner on what was John McGinn’s Scotland debut. Since then Malky Mackay, Alex McLeish and Clarke have all tried to secure wins in challenge games watched by packed houses and half-full stadia alike. Even the normally unflappable Clarke said last month that Scotland were s***e at friendlies. And the opening 45 minutes last night continued that trend. Scotland passed the ball to no threatening effect whatsoever. Finland, with little possession, had the better chances. But after the interval they got a break when central defender Arttu Hoskonen turned Andy Robertson’s cross into his own net to break the deadlock. Most read in FootballLawrence Shankland’s 33rd goal of a prolific season doubled the lead. But Ben Kallman – who’d a brief spell at Dundee six seasons ago – pulled one back for the visitors and sub keeper Craig Gordon conceded a penalty which saw Oliver Antman level. Stuart McCall’s hilarious story swapping shirts with Gazza & THAT game at WembleyQuestions, obviously, remain for the manager as the clock ticks down to Germany in Munich on Friday. Does Ryan Porteous come back into the defence? Will it be Shankland or Che Adams up front? And what’s to be done about the problematic right wing-back position?  On that score, neither Ross McCrorie in Gibraltar nor Tony Ralston last night did much to make themselves undroppable. It wouldn’t surprise me if Clarke had a curveball up his sleeve for that opener in six days’ time – maybe someone out of position to occupy that slot? Those are the things Clarke has to ponder at home before they arrive in Germany tomorrow night. He’ll not have learned much during this low-key encounter. In the early moments, Casper Terho saw his early shot blocked, with ex-Celt Teemu Pukki – Finland’s all-time top scorer, winning his 122nd cap – had his header saved as the visitors sought an early breakthrough.Ryan Christie wriggled past Matti Peltola on the right but his low cross was clattered clear by the Finnish defence. McGinn chipped over the top but Finland continued to probe, and when backtracking Hanley lost the flight of a forward pass, Hampden held its breath as Pukki lofted the opportunity over.Shankland, firing over from the edge of the box, was next to try his luck. But the only time the home support perked into life came when Arttu Hoskonen’s backpass had keeper Jesse Joronen stretching. It was 32 minutes before Scotland forced their first corner. Finland, with little possession, were nevertheless getting forward briskly when they did have the ball. Terho cut inside and fired in another low drive, which Gunn gathered comfortably. Steve Clarke’s side had failed to register an effort on target in the opening half-hour and although Christie finally changed that when he escaped the clutches of Leo Vaisanen, his left-foot drive was easily saved. John McGinn had contributed little but he found room on the left and picked out the advancing Billy Gilmour – but groans rang round Hampden as the Brighton man tried a first-time pass into a crowded Finland box rather than testing their keeper. It was easily snuffed out.Scotland needed something to spark a subdued crowd into life and inside two minutes of the re-start they got it. Gilmour latched on to possession on the edge of the box and drove for goal – but Finland’s sub keeper Viljami Sinisalo pushed his left-foot shot wide of the target. However it was at least an attacking foray – and six minutes later Scotland got a slice of luck to break the deadlock. Skipper Andy Robertson’s low cross didn’t look like it was going to bring any more dividends than any of the previous balls he’d sent into the Finnish box. But Cracovia defender Arttu Hoskonen stuck out his right foot and sent the ball spinning past his own keeper into the corner of Finland’s net. If the skipper’s cross for that one was sent more in hope than expectation, four minutes later he delivered properly.Ralston’s long ball was headed out by a back-tracking Finnish defence to the Liverpool full-back. His return cross picked out Shankland, who headed in his third international goal from close range. The creator and the finisher were promptly withdrawn, with Greg Taylor and under-21 call-up Tommy Conway sent on. Finland thought they’d pulled one back when Robin Lod sent a curler beyond the diving Angus Gunn – but the assistant’s flag was already up. The next Scotland sub prompted one of the biggest roars of the night as Craig Gordon replaced Gunn for his 75th – and probably last – international cap. And the veteran was immediately in action, maintaining a Scotland clean sheet after Finland sub Ben Kallman skinned Hanley and Gordon had to claw his drive into the side netting for a corner. And Kallman reduced the deficit when his header from fellow sub Oliver Antman’s cross squeezed under Gordon – with the goal ratified by a VAR check. VAR was again in action seven minutes from time when Gordon recklessly flattened Finnish sub Tomas Galvez. The Hearts keeper claimed he’d got a touch on the ball, but the check ruled in favour of Finland and Antman drilled home the spot-kick. READ MORE SUN STORIESAnd though Conway forced a great stoppage-time save from Sinisalo with a header, Scotland suffered friendly disappointment again.Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page More

During his post-match interview, Gareth Southgate told Channel 4 that Harry Kane will be starting against Iceland on Friday.
Looking to make his gradual recovery from injury, for the manager, it is integral that he has his talisman in peak physical form for Euro 2024.
How many minutes he will feature for remains to be seen but the Bayern Munich striker will be leading the line against Iceland.

Jack Grealish played a huge part in two goals for the Three Lions after making a substitute appearance this evening.
His pinpoint cross picked out Alexander-Arnold at the back post, who drilled his effort into the far corner of the goal.
It was Grealish’s trickery, getting to the byline, that led to an easy goal for Harry Kane to put the cherry on top of the icing on the cake.

    74. Gomez comes on for Dunk for the Three Lions.
There won’t be many teams around Europe watching this one fearing facing Gareth Southgate’s team in Euro 2024.

It was clearly evident at the recent World Cup in Qatar.

Dmitry Bivol will return to Riyadh for a mouth-watering light-heavyweight undisputed showdown with kingpin Artur Beterbiev on October 12 following a clinical stoppage victory against brave challenger Malik Zinad.
Bivol, the WBA and IBO champion, was due to face unified WBC, WBO and IBF champion Beterbiev before the latter was forced to withdraw due to injury.
“We are professional boxers, we have to change tactics at any moment and I had enough time to change my preparations for a different fighter to Beterbiev,” said Bivol.
    Copy linkCopiedGood Morning!
What a night in Saudi Arabia where Frank Warren and Queensberry Promotions dominated Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Sport to win the inagural 5v5 in a landslide.
Warren’s boys won all five fights – three of those via stoppage – to leave Hearn licking his wounds.
Daniel Dubois put himself into world title contention, and a possible fight with Anthony Joshua, while Deontay Wilder is now facing calls to retire after a brutal, poor defeat to Zhilei Zhang.

Here’s another angle of that brutal KO

    Copy linkCopiedWhat’s next?
Plenty to unpack after the ring as a long night draws to a close in Saudi.
Turki Alalshikh reveals there will be a big card announced at Wembley at the end of the month, while Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren say they are ready to do another 5v5 event as soon as possible.
    Copy linkCopiedQueensberry 10 Matchroom 0
Well, that makes it a whitewash for Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions in the 5v5 against Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Sport.
The event ends with a 10-0 score and Warren is the winner of five fights out of fight and a £3MILLION bet with his rival.
Remember, each win was worth a point but Queensberry earned three bonus points as Zhilei Zhang, Daniel Dubois and Hamzah Sheeraz scored KO wins.
Sheeraz also earned another couple of bonus points as he was the Queensberry team captain.
    Full results:

Zhilei Zhang DEF. Deontay Wilder KO
Daniel Dubois DEF. Filip Hrgovic TKO
Hamzah Sheeraz DEF. Ammo Williams TKO
    Nick Ball DEF. Raymond Ford

Copy linkCopiedZhilei Zhang BEATS Deontay Wilder by KO
WOW! That was an absolutely brutal KO by Zhilei Zhang.
Zhang lands one right on Wilder’s nose and, for some reason, the American turns around to look at the ref.
As he turns Zhang throws his full force into a nasty right hand that absolutely flattens Wilder.
The ref gave Wilder a chance to beat the count but, truthfully, he looked like he was happy to have a way out of that one.
Copy linkCopiedDeontay Wilder vs Zhilei Zhang (Round 5)
Finally, Wilder wakes up a bit and throws a couple of wild right hands with some success.
It didn’t seem to do any damage to his opponent but at least it’s a bit of activity and aggression. Wilder is clearly looking for that perfect knockout but it doesn’t come.
Then all of a sudden Zhang lands some big shots and the ref waves it off!
What a win for the Chinese star!
Copy linkCopiedDeontay Wilder vs Zhilei Zhang (Round 4)
Zhang banks another one. Wilder is just on the backfoot and throwing with zero volume – he’s waiting for that one big right hand.
He’s barely working the jab, instead pawing at Zhang to try and find some range.
Zhang, on the other hand, is throwing combinations with menace and looks in a different league to the former world champ.
Something drastic needs to change or we will not be seeing Deontay Wilder at this level any more.
Copy linkCopiedDeontay Wilder vs Zhilei Zhang (Round 3)
Another stiff left lands on Wilder and then Zhang follows it up with a good shot to the body.
Wilder looks scared to throw in case something comes back. Perhaps he’s trying to draw him on to unload a big counter but it certainly doesn’t seem that way.
He’s tentative, on the back foot and happy to move along the ropes.
Another round for Zhang in my book.
Copy linkCopiedDeontay Wilder vs Zhilei Zhang (Round 2)
Zhang well in the ascendancy here, there was one point early in the round where he had the American trapped in the corner and was just raining shots on him.
Wilder did well to escape but he hasn’t landed a punch in anger yet, huge round from Zhang.
The message from the corner says it all: “Don’t quit on yourself, I don’t want you to be a punching bag.
“I don’t want no rock ’em, sock ’em s***.”
Copy linkCopiedDeontay Wilder vs Zhilei Zhang (Round 1)
Extremely tight round that one, both fighters feeling each other out.
The judges could score that any one of three ways.
What is noticeable immediately is the size difference between these two – two of Wilder’s legs is like one of Zhang’s.
    Copy linkCopiedOn their way
Zhilei Zhang is in the ring and in all gold, he comes out to 80s classic Eye of the Tiger – with a little bit of Chinese added for good measure.
Deontay Wilder, never one to miss an opportunity for a decent ring-walk, enters the ring with black shorts, some kind of custom vest and a sparkly face mask.
Copy linkCopiedDeontay Wilder vs Zhilei Zhang NEXT
Main event of the evening coming next and another 50/50 fight.
Both men are coming off big losses and find themselves at crossroads in their careers.
Wilder was well beaten by Joseph Parker after three years out and many people are questioning if he can still do it at the top level.
Parker also beat Zhang in his last fight but that was a lot closer, with Zhang sending the New Zealander to the canvas a couple of times.
One potential X-factor is that Zhang will enter the ring 70 POUNDS heavier (that’s five stone in old money).
    Copy linkCopiedDubois vs AJ?
Well what next for Dubois after a performance like that?
It’s a complicated one, to put it mildly. That fight was for the right to fight for the IBF title next, a belt which is currently held by Oleksandr Usyk.
However, the undisputed champ may be stripped of that belt while he chases a rematch with Tyson Fury.
That means Dubois might see his belt upgraded to world champion status – without fighting – or could open the door to a fight with Anthony Joshua, in September.
However, one spanner in the works is Deontay Wilder.
Turki Alalshikh is apparently desperate to see Wilder vs Joshua next and that may stop the Dubois vs AJ train.
    Copy linkCopied’No retreat, no surrender’
Speaking after the fight, Dubois said: “No retreat, no surrender. I had to do whatever it took, needed to come through the fire and I did that tonight.
“I needed that support from Frank Warren and my dad, they’ve been there the whole time and we did it.”
Asked about the 5v5, Dubois added: “We’re the kings, we’re the daddies!”
    Copy linkCopiedQueensberry 8 Matchroom 0
It’s been an absolute whitewash in the 5v5 so far – four wins out of four for Frank Warren over Eddie Hearn.
Then you add in TKO wins for Daniel Dubois and Hamzah Sheeraz (who also earned extra points as the team captain) and it’s turned out to be a very poor night for Hearn.
Remember, not only has he seen four of his fighters lose, but Hearn’s also lost the £3MILLION bet with longtime rival Warren.
Copy linkCopiedDaniel Dubois BEATS Filip Hrgovic by TKO
Absolutely superb stuff from Dubois, who just put in a career best performance in Saudi Arabia.
Hrgovic certainly had the better of the early rounds but, all of a sudden, Dubois turned on the gas and went to another level.
He landed some sensational cuts and combos in that one, with Hrgovic a bloody mess by the end of that.
Dubois wobbled the Croatian a couple of times and the ref took a very close look before asking the doctor to make a decision.
Hrgovic was left with huge cuts across his face and it was waved off – Dubois may well now face Anthony Joshua next.

Copy linkCopiedFilip Hrgovic vs Daniel Dubois (Round 8)
    Daniel Dubois wins!
Sensational performance from the Londoner and the referee waves it off due to the incredible amount of damage on Hrgovic’s face.

Copy linkCopiedFilip Hrgovic vs Daniel Dubois (Round 7)
Brilliant round for Dubois there, he’s landing lovely shots and throwing good combinations.
After a brisk start, Hrgovic looks out on his feet and a couple of massive shots really wobble him.
The Croatian is then saved by the bell but that does not save him from the bloody cuts that are now pouring out claret.
