Newcastle £300m Saudi takeover imminent, Steve Bruce ‘faces axe’ ahead of January transfer splurge – latest news

NEWCASTLE UNITED’S Saudi takeover is back ON, with the £300m deal ‘imminent’.The Saudis and Qataris have been locked in a brutal dispute for more than four years after Doha-based beIN Sports had its feed across the Middle East hijacked.
But there has been a major breakthrough after the Gulf state finally lifted its ban on neighbour Qatar’s beIN Sports and approval from the Premier League for the deal’s completion could come within the next 24 hours.
And that looks set to spell the end of Steve Bruce’s time as Toon boss.
With the buyout set to be announced today, SunSport has also taken a look at the players the new owners could bring in, including Gareth Bale.

    SARD DEAL
Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a swoop for Zenit Saint-Petersburg star Sardar Azmoun as a replacement for Alexandre Lacazette.
Lacazette’s contract is coming to an end and the Gunners reckon Azmoun can fill his boots, according to Sports Witness.
The Iranian 19-year-old striker has already scored six times in 12 games this season for Zenit, so he’ll bring plenty of firepower to The Emirates.
However, the North London side face stiff competition from Italian clubs AC Milan and Roma, who Witness claim are also interested in Azmoun.
    PREM ACE BAILED
Brighton ace Yves Bissouma has been bailed after being arrested and marched out of a nightclub in the early hours of yesterday.
The in-form Brighton midfielder, 25, spent the day in custody after being arrested in the city.
Shocked revellers told how they saw Premier League ace Bissouma being marched out of a packed nightclub in handcuffs by police officers.
Sussex Police today confirmed a man in his 20s and a man in his 40s had been released after the arrest on October 6.
A spokesperson said: “A man in his 40s and a man in his 20s, both from Brighton, were arrested and have been released on conditional bail until November 3 while enquiries continue.”
    RAM OUT
Aaron Ramsey will reportedly be put on the transfer list by Juventus in Jauary due to his whopping wages.
The Welsh midfielder has cost the Serie A giants a staggering £4,000 per minute since he arrived from Arsenal in 2019, which has risen to just over £11,000 this season, according to Calciomercato.
Calciomercato also claim the eye-watering amount Juve have to pay the 30-year-old ex-Gunner every sixty seconds works out to be a yearly sum of £6.8million.
And Massimiliano Allegri’s side aren’t willing to continue forking out such a hefty figure to a player who’s only racked up a meagre 68 appearances in all competitions since his arrival.
Ramsey hasn’t fared much better this season, making just two Serie A starts and one in the Champions League for the Bianconeri.
Ramsey still has two years on his contract with Juve, and they’re even willing to let him go for free to balance the books.
    MO WAY
PSG are considering a shock bid for Liverpool ace Mo Salah, according to reports.
The French giants are reportedly prepared to reignite their summer interest and land the Egyptian as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe.
The Egyptian is out of contract in 2023 and is reportedly demanding up to £380,000-a-week to extend his Anfield stay.
Salah, 29, is looking for wages that would make him the Reds’ highest earner.
But PSG are ready to swoop and take him to Paris if Mbappe leaves, according to Fabrizio Romano.
He told Rio Ferdinand on his YouTube channel: “From what I am told, PSG were studying the possibility of recruiting Salah early in the summer, in June, if Mbappe was sold to Real Madrid.
“They were prepared to do something big, and they wanted to try it out with Salah.”
    SACK RACE
Steve Bruce’s tenure as Newcastle manager is drawing towards a conclusion.
That’s according to Sky Bet, who’ve made Bruce odds-on favourite to be the second Premier League manager sent packing this season.
The Toon boss was available at 3/1 at the beginning of the week.
But that price has crashed to odds-on 1/3 as the club’s long-awaited Saudi takeover inches towards completion.
A long-standing row over TV piracy has been resolved, bringing an end to 18 months of deadlock after Mike Ashley initially agreed to sell in April 2020.
The Saudi-led consortium will have an 80 per cent controlling stake and with Ashley out of the picture – Bruce could be the first casualty of a new era on Tyneside.
    AUR WRONG
Serge Aurier would NEVER sign for Arsenal because he has ‘too much respect’ for his former club Spurs.
The Ivory Coast right-back joined LaLiga side Villarreal this week, having been a free agent since terminating his Tottenham deal by mutual consent.
He wrote on Instagram: “I have never seen myself at another club in England!
“I didn’t see myself joining the enemy because I have too much respect for our club, for our history and for all our moments shared together.”
Aurier was linked with a move across North London but instead opted to reunite with Unai Emery after working with the former Gunners boss at Paris Saint-Germain.
    SAUDI STING
Amnesty International demanded the Premier League “overhaul their standards” regarding human rights after the Saudi takeover of Newcastle.
The £300million leaves the Saudi Public Investment Fund, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, owning 80 per cent of the Magpies.
Bin Salman has been implicated in approving the 2018 murder of dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
Human rights organisation Amnesty international stated the deal was an attempt to “sportswash their appalling human rights record with the glamour of top-flight football.”
And CEO Sacha Deshmukh said: “Instead of allowing those implicated in serious human rights violations to walk into English football simply because they have deep pockets, we’ve urged the Premier League to change their owners’ and directors’ test to address human rights issues.
“The phrase ‘human rights’ doesn’t even appear in the owners’ and directors’ test despite English football supposedly adhering to Fifa standards.
“As with Formula One, elite boxing, golf or tennis, an association with top-tier football is a very attractive means of rebranding a country or person with a tarnished reputation.
“The Premier League needs to better understand the dynamic of sportswashing and tighten its ownership rules.”
    STER IT UP
Raheem Sterling will reject any bids to sign England star Raheem Sterling in January.
And the champions remain focused on persuading the 26-year-old to sign a new deal.
Sterling has less than two years on his contract and talks over a fresh one are on hold.
That has put a big question mark over his long-term future at City, where he has been for six years.
SunSport reported on Tuesday that Barcelona are monitoring the situation and could make a cheeky loan bid in the new year.
The hard-up Catalan giants know Sterling has expressed an interest in playing in Spain at some point in his career and hope that could tip the balance in their favour.
Anything they come up with will be knocked back by City though.
    TABLE TOPPERS
Newcastle will have the wealthiest owners in world football by some distance once their £300million takeover finally goes through.
The Toon are on the brink of being in the hands of a Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund worth a staggering £320BILLION after the Gulf state’s piracy row with neighbours Qatar finally ended.
Providing the deal is structured similarly to the original offer, Yasir Al-Rumayyan – a close associate of Saudi royalty Mohammed bin Salman – will become new chairman, with his powerful friend also backing the Magpies’ takeover.
Following the deal’s completion, the Saudi consortium are expected to own 80 per cent of the club – with Amanda Staveley and the Reuben brothers evenly splitting the remaining 20 per cent.
And just to highlight just how much money will be poured into Newcastle, SunSport have compared them against the richest football club owners across the globe.

    WIL TO JOIN
Newcastle hope to poach Manchester City’s academy director Jason Wilcox after their Saudi takeover is complete, according to reports.
Managing director Lee Charnley is also expected to be one of the first casualties of the new regime.
Wilcox, 50, enjoyed a successful playing career – winning the Premier League with Blackburn Rovers as well as spells at Leeds and Leicester.
He also won three England caps under Terry Venables. The Englishman was made City’s academy director in 2017.
And he has become a vital part of their youth development programme since.
But the Etihad outfit face losing him, according to the Telegraph, which would come as a huge blow.

    BRU WHAT?
Steve Bruce’s job at Newcastle is reportedly hanging by a thread, amid the news that the club’s Saudi takeover is set to go ahead.
Following the Saudi government’s decision to lift its ban on Qatari broadcaster beIN Sports, the controversial takeover is expected to be completed imminently.
Fans are already dreaming of big-money star signings like Kylian Mbappe.
But they also wish Bruce would leave the club with it revealed this week that 94 per cent of Newcastle Supporters Trust members want him gone.
And they could now get their wish.
Eddie Howe, Graeme Jones and Chris Wilder are among the favourites to get the job if Bruce is to go – but they are joined by a host of other more glamorous names.

    ALL ABOARD
Newcastle star Allan Saint-Maximin has responded to news of the club’s controversial Saudi takeover on Twitter.
The £300million deal is back ON after the Saudi government resolved their dispute with Qatari broadcaster BeINSports.
Fans have been dreaming of completing several big money signings to gain a place among the Premier League’s elite.
And it appears they aren’t the only ones.
    Saint-Maximin, 24, didn’t specifically reference the takeover.
But with social media awash with reports of the deal’s imminent status, he posted a video featuring a man saying ‘good morning’ before laughing hysterically.

    TIM’S UP
Timo Werner admits he’s ‘not satisfied’ at Chelsea – but denies he’s angling for a transfer away.
His form as well as a change of agent has seen him linked with a move away from Chelsea.
He told express.de: “The last few weeks have been difficult at Chelsea.
“After many years, I was suddenly a little behind and had to fight my way again.
“A career always goes up and down, never steadily upwards. But you learn to deal with it.
“I have to bite into it again, that challenges me. Of course, I would like to enjoy more minutes, so I give my best in training.”
    COR BLIMEY
Wolves winger Francisco Trincao has tested positive for Covid-19 and is in danger of missing his side’s trip to Aston Villa on Saturday week.
The 21-year-old summer signing from Barcelona is self-isolating after he tested positive, ahead of Portugal’s double-header against Qatar and Luxembourg.
Trincao was a late call-up to the Portuguese squad after Benfica’s Rafa Silva pulled out.
However his hopes of adding to his seven caps were wrecked when he returned a positive rapid test on arrival at the Portuguese base – followed by a positive PCR test.
    ON THE PAUL
Man Utd midfielder Paul Pogba has reportedly been mulling over a new deal at Old Trafford since July.
The French midfielder is in the final year of his contract at Old Trafford and is free to talk to foreign clubs in January.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano tweeted: “Paul Pogba has a contract extension proposal on the table from Manchester United since last July.
“Long-term new deal and increased salary.
“But there’s NO final answer yet from Pogba side and his agent Raiola. Man Utd are waiting for his decision – pushing for months.”
    HISTORY MAKER
England will have a woman refereeing their game for the first time EVER against Andorra.
Kateryna Monzul will be in charge for the Three Lions’ World Cup Qualifier against the Euro minnows.
The 40-year-old Ukrainian took charge of her first international match in September 2005.
Monzul became the first referee to take charge of a Ukrainian top-flight game in 2016.
And in November 2020 she officiated in the Uefa Nations League clash between San Marino and Gibraltar.
Monzul was part of an all-female officiating team which made history by taking charge of the senior men’s international.
She will have fellow Ukrainian women Maryna Striletska and Svitlana Grushko running the lines.
And the video assistant ref will be Stephanie Frappart from France.

    EZE DOES IT
EXCLUSIVE – Ebere Eze is ahead of schedule in his recovery from an Achilles injury.
There were initial fears the Crystal Palace star, 23, would be out until the new year after sustaining the problem in training at the back end of last season.
But he is back running and doing ball work already – as he revealed himself in an online clip on Tuesday to the delight of fans.
That is earlier than the club expected and now there is an outside chance he could even return to action next month.
The Eagles will understandably be cautious with the attacking midfielder though and will look to integrate him slowly back into the first-team squad.
    WHAT A TOON
Newcastle’s controversial Saudi takeover is back ON after the country’s government resolved its dispute with Qatari broadcaster BeINSports.
Amid news that the £300million deal is set to go through, Toon fans are already dreaming of what their star-studded team could look like after investment from what would be the world’s richest owners.
Fans have long yearned for a competitive team at St James’ Park. And they could finally get their wish.
A host of top managers have been linked with the post by bookies, including the likes of Antonio Conte and Frank Lampard.
And fans have even dreamed of signing Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe.
Just for fun, let’s take a look at how the Magpies could look next season after phase one of their Saudi-led backing.

    RO-ING BACK
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has returned to London for the first time in three years.
The 54-year-old’s entrepreneurial visa expired in April 2018, but having obtained an Israeli passport later that year, the oligarch has been able to get back to visit his family.
The UK government made it harder for powerful Russians to obtain visas after the Salisbury poisoning incident in 2018.
And the stance affected Abramovich’s ability to gain entry to the UK.
But having obtained an Israeli passport the billionaire has been able to make his first trip to the UK in three years without the need for a visa.
Abramovich’s spokesperson confirmed the Chelsea owner is in the UK to see relatives, according to the Independent.
And he could reportedly visit his beloved Blues while in the capital.
    UNITED FRONT
Man Utd are interested in signing Stoke City wonderkid Emre Tezgel, according to reports.
Tezgel, 16, has enjoyed a rapid rise through the Stoke academy and he is very well regarded at the club.
As a 15-year-old he featured regularly for the under-18s side last season before training with the under-23s over the summer.
And his form at club and international youth level has drawn attention from United, as well as Chelsea and Manchester City – with all three sides tracking the youngster according to the Daily Mail.
Tezgel is part of England’s under-17s team and helped his side reach the final of the Syrenka Cup in Poland last month, scoring four goals in three games along the way.
He was named player of the tournament – an honour previously bestowed onto England star and Chelsea transfer target Jude Bellingham.

    JEERS MATE
Gianluigi Donnarumma was booed by Italy supporters during their 2-1 Nations League defeat to Spain.
The 6ft 5in goalkeeper was making his first return to San Siro since running down his AC Milan contract and ditching them for Paris Saint-Germain during the summer.
Italy boss Roberto Mancini was fuming with their actions.
The former Man City chief said: “It certainly won’t have pleased him, just as it did not please us. Gigio did well.
“Donnarumma played for Italy and it was not a club game.
“This situation could have been put aside for one night and [he could have been] whistled [at] in a possible PSG vs Milan [match]. Italy are Italy and come above all else.”
    RACISM SHAME
EXCLUSIVE – Reports of racism in English football are up by more than 50 PER CENT this season.
And Kick It Out chief executive Tony Burnett claims there is a “nasty underbelly” in grounds.
The anti-racism charity has received “just over 50 per cent” more cases compared to when stadia were last full in the pre-pandemic 2019-20 season.
The news comes after Simon Silwood became the first fan to be jailed over online abuse of a player, West Brom’s Romaine Sawyers.
Burnett said: “What we’re seeing is a massive increase in reports of incidents at grounds. There’s a nasty underbelly at the minute in terms of behaviour.
“People think it’s OK to share views that 20 years ago were just seen as abhorrent. Some of the language that people are using in grounds we thought went out years ago.
“Our discrimination cases are up just over 50 per cent this season. In the professional game, most of what we get reported is at grounds.”
    VIN SOME LOSE SOME
Carlos Vinicius says Tottenham did want to sign him before his summer return to Benfica – but a deal fell through.
The striker joined Spurs on loan in October 2020 with a view to a permanent move.
When asked by Zero Zero if he felt they wanted to sign him, he said: “Yes, at times Tottenham wanted to, but they ended up not being able to.
“Regarding [Harry] Kane, no comment is needed. He is a great striker. For me he’s among the top three strikers today.
“I’m glad I learned so much even though I was his substitute. In that situation, you only have two options: either let go or learn. And in the minutes they give you, prove your worth.
“That’s the one I chose. I took advantage, gave my best, proved my worth and I believe the Tottenham staff, including the fans, liked it.”
    WIZARD OF OZ
EXCLUSIVE – Mesut Ozil is fulfilling his mother’s deep demand to use his football skills to help others.
The ex-Arsenal star says he will give British South Asian players a platform to shine after launching the Football for Peace Mesut Ozil Centre in Bradford.
Less than 0.25 per cent of players across the English leagues are from a South Asian background, despite making up around eight per cent of the population.
Ozil, 32, is a third-generation Turkish-German and now plays for Fenerbahce.
He was not at Wednesday’s launch but his agent, Dr Erkut Sogut, said: “Mesut is so happy to be supporting such a unique project.
“When he was at Arsenal, he had a letter on the wall of his London home from his mother. It said, ‘Mesut my son, God has given you a talent in life.
“He didn’t give it just for you, you needs to share it. And if you don’t do this, you are not my son.’”

    GOOD MORNING FOOTY FANS
After a world record 37 games unbeaten, Italy have finally tasted defeat for the first on home soil this century in a 2-1 loss to Spain.
The damage was done in the first half when Ferran Torres converted two delicious Mikel Oyarzabal crosses either side of Leonardo Bonucci’s red card.
Spain controlled the second period yet a late Lorenzo Pellegrini goal set up a grandstand finish. La Roja held on though, and will now face the winners of Belgium against France in Sunday’s final of the Nations League.
Meanwhile, Italy star Georgio Chiellini revealed he’s ashamed of Napoli fans who racially abused Fiorentina players when the sides met last week.
Chiellini said hearing the abhorrent chants disgusted him and he demanded action was taken as racist fans don’t reflect the image of his native country.
He said, reported by JOE: “We need laws and rules that are applied.
“I was ashamed, as an Italian and a Tuscan, also because Italy is not a racist country for me.”
Elsewhere, Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne has revealed he has no ill feelings towards Chelsea ace Antonio Rudiger who ended his Champions League final early in May.
Rudiger forced De Bruyne off the pitch when he clattered into him, giving the Belgian concussion.
But after looking back at the game, De Bruyne reckons Rudiger didn’t mean any harm and was just trying to block him getting the ball.
And finally, Kylian Mbappe’s mum denies claims that her son is at loggerheads with Paris Saint-Germain over his demands to leave the club.
Infact, she claims that Mbappe is holding progressive talks with PSG about signing a new contract.
And even if he doesn’t commit his future to the club, Mbappe’s mother is adamant he’s dedicated to bringing the Champions League trophy to Paris before his potential exit.

Fury vs Wilder 3 build-up LIVE: Explosive press conference REACTION, ring-walk time CONFIRMED – latest updates

FIGHT week is finally here as Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder get ready to clash in a colossal Las Vegas trilogy bout.Fury knocked Wilder out in seven rounds last year to claim the WBC heavyweight title but the Bronze Bomber is hellbent on revenge.
All the ring action will happen on Saturday night in the UK with the fight beginning in the early hours of Sunday morning.
You can catch all of the coverage live on BT Sport Box Office.
BETTING SPECIAL: GET 30/1 ON FURY OR 50/1 ON WILDER FOR HEAVYWEIGHT BOXING CLASH
Follow ALL of the latest news and updates below…
    SUITS YOUR SIR
Tyson Fury taunted rival Deontay Wilder by wearing a stunning bespoke suit with the WBC belt all over it.
The two heavyweights will have their trilogy scrap this weekend in Las Vegas.
Fury battered Wilder from pillar to post in February 2020 to snatch the American’s WBC strap.
It also saw Wilder suffer his first ever pro defeat – and in crushing style.
Ahead of their third fight this weekend, the two had their final press conference – and once again Fury was dressed to impress.
He wore an eye-catching suit – without a shirt – that showed Wilder what he once used to have.
Plastered all over the fabric were images of the iconic green WBC belt, which will be on the line this weekend.

    FRIEND OR FOE
Deontay Wilder needs to set aside friendships if he’s to have any chance of finally defeating Tyson Fury.
That’s the view of legendary trainer Harold Knight, who says the appointment of Wilder’s friend Malik Scott as his head coach could spell trouble for the Bronze Bomber.
And Knight – who coached Scott and has worked with Dillian Whyte and Lennox Lewis – warned Wilder he needs to stay businesslike ahead of Saturday’s showdown.
Knight told MyBettingSites: “From experience and being around Malik for a long time, it’s a fine line between friendship and business.
“If Malik can keep it business rather than friendship with Wilder, I believe they can do some good things.
“This is business, this is high stakes boxing, this is world championship boxing, legacy is on the line.”
    FURY-OUS
Tyson Fury’s US-based promoter Bob Arum claims he “saved the fight” after stepping in to make sure his client did not face-off with Deontay Wilder during their press conference.
Arum, 89, was incensed with broadcaster Fox Sports and presenter Kate Abdo for suggesting the two fighters were going to come together.
That annoyed the promoter, who said: “They bring this woman in from the UK and she’s slanting all the press conference to Wilder.
“Like I don’t give a damn, but it’s obvious what she was doing!
“And then, she knew that the understanding was: no face-off. Tom Brown argued with Fox, no face-off.
“We said, “No face-off”. What does she say? “Now we’re going to do a face-off?” F*** her and f*** them. There was no face-off and we saved the fight.”
    THE REAL DILL
Dillian Whyte will finally get his long-awaited crack at the WBC heavyweight title if he beats Otto Wallin.
The Brixton banger is the current interim titleholder but will get his shot at the undisputed belt should he beat the Swedish slugger on October 30.
That means nearly 1500 days after he was officially confirmed as the highest-ranked contender, the Body Snatcher will get the chance to fight for the prestigious WBC strap.
A statement read: “The WBC Board of Governors has reviewed the recent history in the Heavyweight Division.
“Considering the long inactivity in the division due to the pandemic, ongoing legal processes, and Covid-19 infections, the WBC has ruled that the winner of this fight will have 30 days to secure a contract to unify the Heavyweight Division against WBO-IBF-WBA champion Oleksandr Usyk in search of an undisputed champion in the division.
“If no unification bout is secured within that time, the winner of Fury vs Wilder 3 must then fight next against the then reigning WBC Interim Heavyweight Champion.”
    ‘WILD OPINION’
Anthony Joshua has tipped an ‘obsessed’ Deontay Wilder to settle the score with Tyson Fury this weekend.
The American will bid to reclaim the WBC heavyweight title from the Gypsy King in a Las Vegas trilogy fight early on Sunday morning.
When asked to predict the outcome of the fight, AJ said: “I’m not too bothered.
“Look, because you’ve asked the question, let’s go with Wilder because he seems obsessed, like he really wants it.
“He seems really focused on the task ahead, so, you know, a focused man is a dangerous man and he’s focused.
“Wilder might get the decision. Actually, no, it has to be a knockout.”
    WILD THINK
Lennox Lewis has no idea what is running through Deontay Wilder’s head after Tyson Fury burst his bubble.
He admitted: “I have tried to get in the head of Deontay but he is in his own bubble. It is OK being in your own bubble, sometimes, if it works for you.
“You can tell yourself you only lost because you got caught with a lucky shot — and that can sometimes work for you. But what changes that is a punch in the face — that wakes you up quickly.
“A punch changes everything. All the things you practised can suddenly stop working and you might even realise that all the things you were practising were wrong, or you were just doing it wrong. When the fight happens, we will know.
“If he says all these people are cheating and this and that, all right . . . let’s see if all these things happen again. If they don’t happen, let’s see what he says this time if he then loses.
“He says all these things but no one else is saying them in his team. He’s the only one saying them.
“He’s in a bubble. How long is he going to stay in that bubble until it bursts? When it bursts is the reality check of, ‘What happened this time?’ ”
    CHANGE THE CHANEL
Deontay Wilder might need the smelling salts if he’s knocked out again by Tyson Fury but for now he’s happy to promote a different fragrance.
The Bronze Bomber was spotted wearing a hoodie emblazoned with the logo of his fiancee’s perfume brand ahead of his trilogy bout with the Brit.
he perfume is the new fragrance from the American’s fiancee Telli Swift.
The Philippine-born reality TV star describes the product as her tribute to her partner.
She wrote on her Instagram account: “From a vision in my head that turned into reality, two souls connected and @dtellifragrances was born.
“This fragrance represents the love between My King @bronzebomber to always be connected in scent even when we’re apart.”
The fragrance is said to be unisex and designed to be worn either day or night ‘throughout every season’.

    GOOD MORNING BOXING FANS
Deontay Wilder reckons he knows exactly how his trilogy fight with Tyson Fury will end on the weekend.
The Bronze Bomber reckons he’ll give Fury a good hiding before sending him sprawling to the canvas.
The American told Boxingnews24: “I see me beating him up and knocking him out.”
And Wilder plans to cruise to victory by heading into the ring in one of his eccentric costumes which critics blamed his last loss to Fury on.
The 35 year-old reckons he has the best outfit out of all boxing champions and won’t tone down his look for anybody.
He said to Boxing Scene: “Since I became champion, you know, nobody has come out with a better dress, better uniform than I have.
“And we’re going to continue with that, we’ll just have to see what I put on, it’s going to be something special.”
Meanwhile, Wilder’s opponent Tyson Fury is still reeling that he missed out on £75million when Anthony Joshua lost to Oleksandr Usyk.
If Joshua had won against the Ukrainian, he would’ve fought Fury in Saudi Arabia, who planned on giving the pair £200m to split.
But the fight went down the pan when Joshua failed to take down Usyk, leaving the Gypsy King’s dreams of £75m shattered.
Fury told IFL: “It was a bit of an anti-climax but no part of me was happy that he lost.
“Why would I be pleased? There just goes £75million down the toilet so I wasn’t pleased that he lost.”
Finally, boxing fans can bet on the Fury vs Wilder trilogy on Sky Bets who have the Gypsy King an overwhelming 4/11 favourite to successfully defend his belt.
    FINAL PRESS CONFERENCE
But Fury hit back: “I knocked you out dosser! You are a weak man and you are getting knocked out.
“I have come here looking a million dollars and you have turned up looking like a tramp.
“He is a lying little dosser and an insecure little s***. He has been done, beaten, busted.
“This little p***y got his a*** handed to him twice and he can’t do f*** all about it.”
There was NO head to head at the end, as per instructions from worried promoter Bob Arum.

    FINAL PRESS CONFERENCE
Though Wilder insists Fury robbed him with a range of scams.
He said: “I don’t regret the claims I made and I will go to my grave believing it because I have confirmation and clarity.
“Men and women lie but the eyes can’t, the eyes don’t lie.
“I am now a better man and fighter because of what I have learned and know.
“The truth sets you free so there is no pressure on me, it’s all on him, I have nothing to lose and everything to gain. My energy is like my mind, it is very violent.”
    FINAL PRESS CONFERENCE
Fury went topless under his latest outrageous suit and mocked tracksuited Wilder for copying his trademark look.
The Englishman laughed: “He has got no shirt on to copy me.
“I am famous for that, everyone wants to be like me, the Bronze Bombers needs to stop copying the Gypsy King.”

    PURE FURY
Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder have exchanged words at their final press conference before Saturday’s fight…and it’s been explosive!
Fury has told Wilder face-to-face that he is a ‘weak little person’ for accusing him of cheating.
The 35-year-old accused Fury of loading his gloves and paying off members of his team for the February 2020 war he lost.
And, at the pre-fight press conference when Wilder was given the chance to retract and apologise, he doubled down on the claims, leaving Fury raging.
The Brit giant fumed: “I don’t care, because it is coming from an unwell person.
“He blamed me, his trainer, his costume, the referee, the commission, one might have been believable but not 50.
“It just tells me he is a mentally weak little person who I am going to beat again.
“I obliterated him in the rematch and he is getting it again.”

    ‘ANTI-CLIMAX’
Tyson Fury is gutted Anthony Joshua’s defeat to Oleksandr Usyk cost him £75million.
Saudi Arabia were ready to stump up mega-money to host the all-English undisputed heavyweight decider in August, helping raise around £200m for the pair to split.
But Fury has no interest in gloating or sticking the boot in, despite feeling Joshua costing him.
Fury told IFL: “It was a bit of an anti-climax but no part of me was happy that he lost.
“We were all in the front room saying ‘come on win the fight, land a big right hand’.
“Why would I be pleased? There just goes £75million down the toilet so I wasn’t pleased that he lost.”
    TRILOGY SPECIAL
Tyson Fury defends his WBC belt against Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas this weekend.
And punters can back three amazing specials on the blockbuster heavyweight showdown PLUS new Sky Bet customers can claim a whopping £40 in free bets!
The pair meet for their trilogy fight in Las Vegas on Saturday.
The ‘Gypsy King’ is an overwhelming 4/11 favourite to successfully defend his belt.
But Wilder could prove a more difficult obstacle with new trainer Malik Scott in his corner.
The 35-year-old was knocked out by Fury in February 2020 after their first contest ended in a controversial draw where the Briton twice hit the canvas.
History could repeat itself this weekend with Fury available at 7/1 to win the contest having been knocked down with Sky Bet.
Fury can also be backed at 9/1 to win by Unanimous Decision and Wilder to be knocked down in Rounds 1-6.
But if you fancy an upset, YOU can back Wilder to win by KO/TKO in Rounds 1-3 & 3+ knockdowns in the fight at giants odds of 25/1.
    FULLY FOCUSED
Deontay Wilder has shared the reason why he stayed silent at the first press conference ahead of his trilogy fight with Tyson Fury.
The Bronze Bomber only spoke to give a brief statement before putting on headphones when he met Fury in June.
And the American explained that the reason he done that is because he means business this time around, he hasn’t come to entertain.
He told ESNEWS: “I just mean business, I didn’t come here to play around.
“I’m strictly business when it comes to this fight. I’mma let him do the circus, let him promote it and do it.”
    WALL FAN
Deontay Wilder has been urged to ‘man up’ and accept defeat if he has any chance of beating Tyson Fury in their trilogy bout.
Fury brilliantly beat Wilder in their February 2020 rematch, after they dramatically drew in 2018.
Otto Wallin, the last man Fury beat before his crowning night over Wilder, has hit out at the Bronze Bomber for refusing to acknowledge his loss.
And he fears it will hold back the former champion from recognising what went wrong and fixing it – playing right into Fury’s hands.
Swedish fighter Wallin, 30, told SunSport: “I think that Fury is going to win again. I find it strange with Wilder, all the excuses.
“That really makes me question, how much can you really improve if you have to keep coming up with excuses?
“I feel like Wilder’s got to man up and take the loss, he lost fair and square to the better man, realise that and start working.”
    DRESS IT UP
Deontay Wilder plans to wear another eccentric outfit into the ring when he faces Tyson Fury.
Critics blamed the last one Wilder wore for his defeat to Fury the last time they met.
But Wilder’s unphased by what they think because he has the best costumes that represent his tribe.
He told Boxing Scene: “Since I became champion, you know, nobody has come out with a better dress, better uniform than I have.
“And we’re going to continue with that. We’ll just have to see what I put on. It’s going to be something special.
“It’s going to be something that I dedicate to my people, my tribe. So you can look forward to seeing it.”
    WILD VISION
Deontay Wilder claims he already knows how his fight with Tyson Fury will end on the weekend.
The Bronze Bomber reckons that he’ll give Fury a good hiding before sending him sprawling to the canvas.
That’s the vision that Wilder’s seen in his head while preparing for the fight.
The American told Boxingnews24: “I see me beating him up and knocking him out.”

    COSTUME QUIP
Tyson Fury has taken a swipe at Deontay Wilder’s explanation for his loss to the Brit in their previous Trilogy clash.
The Bronze bomber partly blamed the weight of his battery-operated ringwalk attire for his defeat.
Ahead of their clash on Saturday, Fury Boxing Scene: “Maybe we should have him weigh his costume before he walks to the ring in it so there can’t be any excuses this time.”

    BIG BUCKS BOUT
Tyson Fury and Deontay are set to bank an eyewatering £18million EACH in the final fight of their trilogy on Saturday.
Both heavyweights will be battling the WBC Championship belt which Fury currently holds.
And Wilder will be looking for revenge after losing courtesy of a seventh-round stoppage the last time the two boxers fought.
How Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder stack up ahead of the trilogy fight
    PRANK PRESSURE
Tyson Fury says he intends to pull hotel pranks on Deontay Wilder ahead of their trilogy bout in Las Vegas.
The WBC heavyweight champ is defending his title against Wilder for the first time this Saturday.
Fury told BT Sport: “I’m going to be terrorising him all night.
“I’ll be phoning his phone up, knocking on his door and running away cause that’s how we roll!”
    OUTBOXED
Tyson Fury has hit back at cheating claims and has vowed to punch Deontay Wilder’s face in during their fight at the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas.
Fury told The MMA Hour: “We’ve boxed 19 rounds and he’s practically won two rounds out of 19.
“With Wilder, in my opinion, he’s come out with all this stuff saying I’ve cheated.
“Whether he believes it or not is another thing, but he has to try and sell the fight somehow.
“He has to try and make a reason why he could win.
“So he clearly couldn’t do the reasons why in a boxing fight so he has to make other reasons for his own self, for the people around him who are saying he can do this, he can do that.”

The pair teamed up earlier this year to prepare for the highly anticipated trilogy bout with Fury.

    WILDER WORRY
David Price and Dillian Whyte fear that Deontay Wilder’s ego could cost him in his fight against Tyson Fury.
Wilder, 35, was on the wrong end of a technical knockout the last time the fierce rivals went toe-to-toe
Former heavyweight Price told BBC Radio Five Live: “Instead of admitting to his mistakes and shortcomings and trying to improve on what went wrong, he’s not wrong. It’s a bit narcissistic to think like that.”
Whyte added: “Wilder, we don’t know if he’s recovered at all because he went on this crazy run of blaming stuff. He was acting crazy.
“We don’t know where they’re at fully. The smart money would pick Fury to win again, but something inside of me is saying Wilder might spring a surprise on us.”
    DOSSER STOOL TOOL
Tyson Fury is set to have his ringside stool showing an image of Deontay Wilder getting clobbered with a right hook.
It is thought the Gypsy King, whose WBC champ belt is up for grabs, will have the stool as his seat in the ring in between rounds.
The outspoken heavyweight is set to face Wilder at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

    DELAY PAYS
Deontay Wilder admitted to being grateful his Trilogy fight with Tyson Fury was delayed.
The fight was rescheduled for this Saturday after the Gypsy King tested positive for Covid-19 back in July.
Wilder told Boxing Scene: “The delay was a blessing, a blessing for me.
“The more they delayed it, the more time we had to work on our craft and art and to go over even more, strategically, go over the game plan that we’re gonna have come October the 9th.
“As a fighter, you’re ready to go. You know, you’re ready to get back out there.
“And this is the longest I’ve been out of the ring, especially when I’m anxious to get in the ring.”
    WILD CLAIM
Deontay Wilder has dropped a shock retirement hint by insinuating he could quit after his Tyson Fury Trilogy fight.
The Bronze Bomber is hoping to nab the WBC heavyweight title from the Gypsy King when their pair clash on Saturday night.
Wilder told Last Stand Podcast: “I can feel it getting close, retirement.
“I’m seeking one champion, one face, one name.
“The only way I will be able to retire is if I achieve (that).
“The faster I can get that, the faster I can retire and get the hell out of here.”
    WILD ATTIRE
Images of Deontay Wilder’s ringwalk costume are reportedly starting to emerge ahead of the Bronze Bomber’s clash with Tyson Fury.
Designers Cosmo and Donato are thought to have made the star a ‘significantly lighter’ costume after he blamed battery-powered garments for his loss to Fury in February 2020.

    FRESH AND WILD
Deontay Wilder claims he is feeling ‘rejuvenated’ ahead of his duel with Tyson Fury.
The pair are set to go head-to-head in Las Vegas’s T-Mobile Arena on Saturday with Fury’s WBC heavyweight belt up for grabs.
Wilder told reporters: “I feel great, I feel amazing.
“I’m rejuvenated, reinvented and I’m ready to go.
“Saturday night is going to be a special night. I think the fans are in for a treat, as they always are when the ‘Bronze Bomber’ steps in the ring.”

    FIST OF FURY
Tyson Fury has threatened to knock Deontay Wilder ‘spark out’ in their highly-anticipated duel in Las Vegas on Saturday.
The WBC Champion told reporters: “When I was first going to fight (Wilder) I thought he was a decent man, like a family man and doing it for his kids.
“But now I know he’s a real piece of garbage and a piece of rubbish and I’m going to knock him spark out on Saturday night.”

There were a number of impressive performances in the Spain ranks this evening including Ferran Torres, Mikel Oyarzabal and Marcos Alonso, not to mention 17-year-old debutant Gavi.
However, it was another teenager, Yeremi Pino, that shone brightest during his second half cameo. The 18-year-old Villarreal forward is certainly one to watch.

    ITALY 1-2 SPAIN
90+4. A clash of heads between Kean and Laporte brings the physios on to the field, and may mean the the game is now up.
That said, when both players recover, Italy will have the free-kick approximately 40 yards from goal.
    ITALY 1-2 SPAIN
90+2. A sensational challenge from Di Lorenzo keeps Italy in the tie.
The right-back times his tackle inside the box to perfection to deny Gil from laying on a killer goal.

    ITALY 1-2 SPAIN

The Italians grab the ball and make for the centre circle and, all of a sudden, the San Siro has come to life.
    Game on!

    ITALY 0-2 SPAIN
    79. Wonderful footwork from Yeremi, who glides beyond two Italians on the right.

    ITALY 0-2 SPAIN
    72. A fifth and final substitution for the Italians brings Davide Calabria into the action. The Milan defender is on for Nicolo Barella.
    ITALY 0-2 SPAIN
    70. Italy haven’t had much experience of losing in the last couple of years, and their behaviour here shows that they’re not very good at it.
Their players react furiously to a 50-50 challenge involving Yeremi and Locatelli, clearly trying to prompt the referee into taking action against the young Spain substitute.
It works too, Yeremi is shown a yellow card.

    ITALY 0-2 SPAIN
    68. Gavi nearly marks an unforgettable night by weaving his way into the penalty area, only to be unbalanced at the final moment by the experience of strength of Chiellini.
There are half-hearted claims for a spotkick, but there’s really little in the challenge.
    ITALY 0-2 SPAIN
    66. Italy have made their fourth change, by the way.
Jorginho’s night of scowling at a 17-year-old is over. He is replaced by Lorenzo Pellegrini.
    ITALY 0-2 SPAIN
    65. Pablo Sarabia is the latest player to go into the book. He catches Chiellini with a high boot.
    ITALY 0-2 SPAIN
    63. It should be three!
Some superb old-fashioned wingplay from Yeremi, who tricks his way past his man and then crosses from the byline.
Oyarzabal is up highest at the far post to meet, but knocks his header wide of a gaping goal.

Fury vs Wilder 3 build-up LIVE: Latest news and updates as Gypsy King & Bronze Bomber make Vegas grand arrivals

FIGHT week is finally here as Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder get ready to clash in a colossal Las Vegas trilogy fight. Fury knocked Wilder out in seven rounds last year to claim the WBC heavyweight title but the Bronze Bomber is hellbent on revenge.
Both fighters are set to appear at their Vegas grand arrivals and Wednesday’s press conference before weighing in on Friday ahead of fight night.
All the ring action will happen on Saturday night in the UK with the fight beginning in the early hours of Sunday morning, with the coverage on BT Sport Box Office.
BETTING SPECIAL: GET 30/1 ON FURY OR 50/1 ON WILDER FOR HEAVYWEIGHT BOXING CLASH
Follow ALL of the latest news and updates below…
    FIT OF FURY
Tyson Fury has shared how he plans to stop Deontay Wilder when they meet in the ring on Saturday.
The pair face each other for the third time in Las Vegas, and Fury’s sure Wilder won’t want to fight him again once he’s done with him.
To make sure of it, Fury revealed he’ll drag the Bronze Bomber into a dogfight before giving him a hiding.
He told Fox Sport Australia: “I’m going to take the fight to him and drag him into a dog fight and drown him into deep water.
“That’s exactly what I’m going to do with him,
“I’m expecting an inside-the-distance fight for sure, and definitely going to give him a good hiding and beat him up real bad. He will not want to fight me again after this; I’ll put it that way. There will be no fourth fight.”
    ‘GETTING CLOSER’
Deontay Wilder has revealed that he is on the verge of retiring from boxing ahead of his trilogy fight against Tyson Fury this weekend.
The Bronze Bomber is seeking to avenge his loss to Fury in Las Vegas when they meet for the third and final time.
But it could be one of the last times fans get to see Wilder in action as he claims he plans to walk away from the sport really soon.
There’s only one person Wilder wants to face in the ring before he calls it a day, although he didn’t say who the mystery opponent is.
Speaking to Last Stand Podcast, Wilder said: “I can feel it getting close, retirement…I’m seeking one champion, one face, one name.
“The faster I can get that, the faster I can retire and get the hell out of here.”
    ‘NOT 100%’
Tyson Fury has claimed that he will not be in 100 percent condition for the trilogy clash against Deontay Wilder.
Fury will go head to head with his foe for the third time in Las Vegas this weekend.
However, the Gypsy King doesn’t feel his best going into the fight.
But despite his doubts, Fury is relaxed and confident he can defeat his nemesis Wilder.
He told Boxing Special: “I feel good, relaxed and confident as I always have been, I am never beaten up about a fight it is just a boxing match.
“It has just been a normal training camp, there has been good days and bad days, no-one is ever 100% going into a fight, let’s put it that way, but I am going to bring action and ferocity on fight night and I will be ready.”
    TY-ME TO THINK
Tyson Fury says he will be a ‘sad and lonely’ person when he ends his boxing career.
The unbeaten 33-year-old will defend his WBC heavyweight title against Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas at the weekend.
Talking to BBC Radio 5 Live’s Boxing podcast, Fury says he would have no regrets if he never fought again and said he is not motivated by the vast purses he can command.
The Gypsy King said: “I’m not fighting to be the greatest of all time, I’m not fighting to be a legend.
“It wouldn’t benefit me earning another £50m or £200m, you don’t need to be rich to live my life.
“I’m just a normal person who is very good at boxing and a very special, chosen person.”
    NOT NAMING NAMES
Tyson Fury has one of the meanest sounding names in world boxing today, and he’s also one of the best fighters in the sport.
But Fury’s rivals Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte have called Fury ‘Luke’, with boxing fans now cottoning on to the mutual jibe.
The heavyweight pair think Fury’s actual first name is Luke.
However, Luke is actually Fury’s middle name, as listed on Companies House, Boxrec and Wikipedia.
But Whyte is having none of it and recently told SunSport that Fury only calls himself Tyson to sound harder.

    TOMMY GUN
Tyson Fury has urged brother Tommy to ‘get some balls and sign the f***ing contract’ to fight Jake Paul.
The former Love Island star, 22, has already admitted rejecting two fight offers from the YouTuber.
Tommy told Paul: “Get your figures up and then we can talk.”
But big brother Tyson, 33, has told him and Paul to ‘get some balls’ and finally go toe-to-toe in the ring.
When asked for his thoughts on the potential fight between the feuding youngsters, Fury told Behind The Gloves: “Hopefully it happens.
“I hope they can both get some balls and sign the f***ing contract.
“Make this fight happen and give the world the fight they want to see. I want to see it. Everybody wants to see this fight.”
    X BOX
Tyson Fury has likened himself to X-Men’s Professor X, insisting rival Deontay Wilder’s mind games won’t work ahead of Saturday’s trilogy fight in Las Vegas.
The Brit meets Wilder for the third and possibly final time at the T-Mobile Arena.
Fury says he’s not bothered if his rival talks and says the mind games don’t work on him – likening himself to Marvel superhero Professor X, who could read and control the minds of others.
He told Sky Sports: “I keep my own business to myself and I don’t really care what that big dosser does, nothing.
“I don’t care what he does. If he talks or he doesn’t. It doesn’t make any difference to me.
“Mind games don’t work with me anyway. I’m like Professor X without the wheels.”
    FURY CONTINUED
“This time I’m going to do exactly the same but I’m going to put a bit more metal in there.
“With Wilder, in my opinion, he’s come out with all this stuff, I’ve cheated, I’ve done this, I’m a natural born cheater, his coach – I must have some power mustn’t I because I’ve even got his coach on my side!
“And not to mention [trainer] Jay Deas, he’s on my payroll too.
“I’m like Tommy Shelby here, I’ve got them all on the payroll. He’s on the payroll too, Jay Deas, because he was in the changing room while I was getting my gloves on the whole time.
“So he must have helped me and Wilder’s in denial about that. But let me just put that out there as well.”
    CHEEKY BLINDER
Tyson Fury has joked he will ‘cheat again’ with ‘horseshoes in his gloves’ in his trilogy fight against Deontay Wilder.
The American accused the new WBC champ of having ‘loaded gloves’ days after he was battered into submission by the Gypsy King in their second bout.
Speaking to MMA Hour after Wilder’s latest accusations, the 33-year-old said: “Do you know what, I’m gonna cheat again because I’m gonna smash his face in.
“So, according to him that’s cheating because he’s not supposed to lose. But unfortunately I’m going to cheat again.”
Then asked about whether he had ‘weights in his gloves’, Fury responded sarcastically: “Yeah I did. I had horseshoes in there, you know I’m a gypsy don’t you?
“You ever watched Peaky Blinders? I loaded the gloves with horseshoes and dynamite.”

    SHOWTIME
Tyson Fury is preparing to once again go to war with Deontay Wilder in a huge heavyweight trilogy this weekend in Las Vegas.
Fans in the UK won’t be travelling like they did for the first fight due to Covid restrictions, but SunSport are on hand with all the details on how to tune in on time for the ring-walks.
What time will the pair make their ring-walks?

Fury vs Wilder 3 ring-walks are expected to get underway from 3am UK time on Sunday, October 10.
With the walks set to be long and ring introductions and national anthems to be belted out, it’s likely the fight gets going closer to 3.30am.
Timings are subject to change and will depend on how long the undercard lasts.

    WILD MESSAGE
Deontay Wilder has issued a harrowing message to Tyson Fury ahead of their trilogy fight on Saturday.
Wilder said: “My mind is very violent. We built a whole facility to commit a legal homicide and that’s just what it is, my mind is very violent at this time.
“I can’t wait, when you’re contemplating and pre-meditating about harming a man and you see that person, what you’ve been thinking and feeling will come out.
“The only thing about it is, at that point in time, I have to wait until I get in the ring to really release because I can’t do it on the outside, it’d defeat the purpose.
“The baby’s got to eat, but when I do get in the ring, this is what I love about it, I’m able to release everything I’ve been feeling, everything I’ve been thinking, and get paid to do it.”
    COULD GET TY-RED
Tyson Fury delayed his second coronavirus vaccine to prevent feeling ‘weak’ for his Deontay Wilder fight.
That is despite testing positive for Covid-19 twice.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Fury revealed the vaccine postponement was ‘because I don’t want to get in the ring feeling weak or anything’.
He said: “I have to do it myself because my nose has been broken so often in fights that no one else can manoeuvre the stick in there.
“We also keep the bubble secure by having the gym under lock and key with nobody else allowed in while we’re there.
“I’ve actually had Covid not once but twice.”
    GO WILD, DEONTAY
Heavweight rivals Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield both want to see Deontay Wilder be aggressive in his rematch with Tyson Fury.
As quoted by the Manchester Evening News, Tyson said: “I like Wilder but is he going in there to win or is he going in there for a big pay day?
“They should go all out for five or six rounds. If you catch him, you catch him. Go all out, win or lose.”
Holyfield added: “In all these things you work on in being the very best. Is he getting it to the point where he can remember to do them as a natural thing?
“The worst thing you can do for a fighter is let somebody new come in and giving him something new to do. They take it all of a sudden you start thinking too much.”
    FUR-OUGH THE AGES
Tyson Fury’s shorts have got smaller and smaller the bigger the Gypsy King has become in boxing.
The Brit started his career wearing giant boxing shorts that fell way past his knees.
But the Brit has revealed more and more leg the closer he’s got to becoming unified world champion.
Fury has even taken to training in his pants too!

    WATER UNDER THE BRIDGE
Tyson Fury has revealed he works hard to keep himself hydrated in the desert heat as he prepares for the Las Vegas fight.
The Gyspy King has admitted that he drinks a GALLON of water a day.
He said: “Well over a gallon a day.
“Hydration is a vital key to performance. Your body is 75 per cent water. And I’ve got a big body. Must keep watering.
“One per cent dehydration equals a 20 per cent drop in performance. It is hard to drink this much. You have to keep running to relieve yourself.”
    FURY CONTUNUED
“He’s got a new trainer and he wants to get better.
“But while he will also have the biggest punch in the world, I can’t really see how he can make a big difference to his basic boxing.
“I hope he’s better. I hope he can give me a bigger challenge because we don’t want another beat down.
“I love boxing and we all want good fights. Anyway, if we’ve both improved then the outcome should be the same.
“Me breaking him down and smashing him to bits again. Only quicker.”
    FAST AND FURYOUS
Tyson Fury insists that he is ’30 to 40 per cent’ better than when he beat Deontay Wilder in February last year.
He told the Mail: “Deontay will find himself up against a Tyson Fury who is 30 to 40 cent better than the Tyson Fury who steamrolled him in the last fight.
“I haven’t wasted our 20 months out of the ring. I’ve worked non-stop to improve my boxing, my footwork, my jab. Everything.
“I’ve been an elite fighter for years but I’ve used the break to move up to an even higher echelon.
“I’m sure Deontay’s been trying hard to improve, too.”
    WARR MACHINE
Tyson Fury’s promoter Frank Warren claims Anthony Joshua will LOSE his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk.
Warren wrote in Boxing Scene: “I cannot actually imagine a rematch turning out much differently.
“I cannot see Usyk jumping on the party circuit and turning up horrendously out of condition. Fortune has very much favoured Joshua since he turned pro.
“The British public craved a heavyweight hero and got behind him in their droves, backing him to the absolute hilt and invested fortunes in ticket and pay-per-view fees.
“The attributes Usyk possesses are shared by Tyson with interest, along with a size and speed advantage.
“A fight between them is a natural one to make as we will now consider an alternative way forward.”
    UK BOUND
Tyson Fury’s next fight will most likely be in the UK, his promoter Frank Warren predicts.
Warren reckons all the top heavyweights in boxing including Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte, are from Britain and not the USA.
Minus Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk, who beat Joshua to become heavyweight champion last week, but Warren thinks even if Fury fights him it will be held in the UK.
Speaking to BBC Sport about the Gypsy King, who hasn’t fought on home-soil since 2018, Warren said: “Here’s no Yanks out there for him to fight. I think he’ll be back here which will be a great homecoming.
“If Tyson wins the fight we’ll sit down. There’s a few options there. Usyk would be a massive fight here. The Joshua fight is still a massive fight.
“Dillian Whyte is a big fight, providing he beats Otto Wallin [30 October] which isn’t a forgone conclusion. There’s some big fights for him.”
    DANGEROUS DEONTAY
Tyson Fury has labelled his foe Deontay Wilder as the most dangerous boxer in the game ahead of their trilogy bout this weekend.
Wilder’s ferocious streak is a worry for Fury who refuses to write off his opponent, although many other people have.
But the Gypsy King is aware of the threat Wilder poses and won’t take him lightly in the ring.
He told the BBC: “A lot of people are writing Wilder off in this fight. They almost look at him like he’s a bum.
“Like he can’t fight and he’s useless. You can’t write him off.
“Make no mistake about this, Deontay Wilder is the most dangerous heavyweight out there. Combine them all together and they don’t make a danger like Wilder.
“So that’s what I’m messing with. I’m playing with an atomic bomb, messing round, clipping wires.
“Every time you go into the ring with Deontay Wilder you’re playing with that danger.”
    WILD CLAIM
Deontay Wilder claims Tyson Fury didn’t knock him out the last time they faced each other in the ring.
Instead, Wilder labels Fury’s victory a ‘stoppage’ because his ex-trainer former trainer Mark Breland made a ‘weak’ decision to stop the fight.
The Bronze Bomber reckons even at his worst, and Fury at his best, the Gypsy King still wouldn’t be able to lay him flat out on the canvas.
He said to BT Sport, Via BoxingNews24: “Even on my worst night and his best night, he still couldn’t get me out of there.
“People try to label it as a knockout, but that’s not a knockout.
“That’s a stoppage because of a weak individual in my team [who threw the towel in.”

    BID-EN TIME
Tyson Fury has been applying pressure on US president Joe Biden to let Brits to travel to the US for his trilogy fight against Deontay Wilder.
Fury will fight Wilder at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas this weekend.
But US travel restrictions aren’t are set to be relaxed until November, leaving thousands of Brits facing the prospect of missing the heavyweight clash.
However, the Gypsy King is hoping Biden will make a last-minute exception to allow his fellow country-men to support him at ringside.
Speaking to the Mail, Fury said: “I’ve still got my fingers crossed that at the last minute President Biden will open the borders to my supporters.
“I’ve been putting the pressure on for the Brits to be allowed to invade Las Vegas again and make it like my second fight with Wilder.
“The fans also love travelling abroad. They are gagging to come here. They will flock over even if they just get a three-day pass which would let them fly over this Friday, lap up the fight Saturday night, and go home Sunday.”

    DILL WITH IT
Dillian Whyte may finally be set for his first ever world heavyweight title shot after the trilogy fight between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder.
Whyte, 33, is taking on Sweden’s Otto Wallin on October 30 as he looks for a 13th win from his last 14 fights.
Speaking to iFL TV, Fury’s promoter Bob Arum said: “I haven’t spoken to [WBC President] Mauricio [Sulaiman] yet, we will have to see [what they rule on Fury’s mandatory].
“I assume you are talking about Dillian Whyte, who is the number one contender.
“And that could be a big, big fight for Tyson, particularly if we held it in UK.
“That is not out of the question, Dillian Whyte is a capable heavyweight and a fight against Tyson Fury or Wilder [or] whoever wins would be a very interesting fight.”

“That is not out of the question, Dillian Whyte is a capable heavyweight and a fight against Tyson Fury or Wilder [or] whoever wins would be a very interesting fight.”

    THREESY DOES IT
Tyson Fury has been warned he ‘won’t want any more part’ of Deontay Wilder after their trilogy, ruling out a FOURTH fight.
And it could be the third and final time, with the trilogy involving NO right to a rematch for the loser.
It leaves Wilder’s co-manager Shelly Finkel doubting demand for a fourth instalment, and reckons it could be within Fury’s best interests, too.
Finkel told SunSport: “At this point no. We’ll see what happens in the fight, but at this point no.
“And I would think, if my clairvoyance is correct, Fury won’t want any more part of him after this.”

    DEONT COUNT ON IT
Unified heavyweight champ Oleksandr Usyk has refused to write off Deontay Wilder’s chances of beating Tyson Fury.
The American will have what could be his final shot at redemption when he faces the Brit in a trilogy fight in Las Vegas this weekend.
And while he says he doesn’t mind which of the two he has to fight in his bid for all the belts, the 34-year-old Ukrainian isn’t dismissing Wilder’s chances of becoming two-time champ.
Speaking to DAZN, Usyk said: “I will definitely watch.
“I don’t think too much about who wins. It will be a good fight. Don’t write Deontay Wilder off since he always has the knock-out punch. I will watch it for sure and I am curious who wins.
“I will fight with whoever holds the last belt. I don’t care if it is Wilder or Fury.”
    WILD CALL
Deontay Wilder claims a unification bout between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua was ‘never going to happen’.
The British stars were tipped to face each other earlier this year before the Gypsy King was ordered to fight the Bronze Bomber for a third time.
Speaking to BT Sport, Wilder said: “The Fury AJ talk, it was never going to happen. They never had a contract to begin with, that was all propaganda.
“There was nothing I was concerned about because I knew the truth, you know.
“Certain fans and people just take the first thing they hear without doing research and they just go away with it.
“People want to be first nowadays instead of being correct and that was the situation.
“One thing is for sure – when you put black ink to white paper, it’s sealed. It’s called a contract. And it’s hard to get out of that.
“As long as I knew I had that contract and we was going to activate it, there wasn’t no words or concerns about the the talk. It just hyped people up.”
    FURY PRAISE
Tyson Fury described Deontay Wilder as his “most dangerous fight” since Wladimir Klitschko.
Fury said: “I’m playing with an atomic bomb. He’s very, very dangerous.
“With most boxers they need to hit you with five punches, with Wilder he can hit you with a quarter punch and knock you spark out.
“Wilder’s my most dangerous fight since Wladimir Klitschko. Once I got that guy out of the way I knew Wilder would be my most dangerous opponent.
“That’s what we’re messing with — my ultimate dangerman. If you could design any fighter to be able to compete with me as a boxer then it would be Deontay Wilder.
“Wilder’s only got one loss in 44 fights, he’s very dangerous and I’m up for the challenge. I’m very up for it actually. Although I beat the guy last time, the first fight was a draw and we will see what happens in the third fight. I’m looking forward to the challenge”
    ROCK & ROLL
Tyson Fury stated he is training just like Rocky Balboa from the Sylvester Stallone movies.
Fury said ahead of his trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder: “I’ve been training myself like in the Rocky movies. Like I said, what I don’t know about boxing ain’t worth knowing.
“As long as my weight’s all right — I’m around 20st at the moment, nice and high, plenty of weight on me — I can always box for 12 rounds no matter what condition I’m in.
“The man who is in shape who trains all year round doesn’t need a 10-week training camp.
“A man who’s in shape all year round just needs two weeks sparring and he’s done, ready to go”
    GETTY IMAGES
    WILD MESSAGE
Deontay Wilder has issued a harrowing message to Tyson Fury ahead of their trilogy fight on Saturday.
Wilder said: “My mind is very violent.
“We built a whole facility to commit a legal homicide and that’s just what it is, my mind is very violent at this time.
“The baby’s got to eat, but when I do get in the ring, this is what I love about it, I’m able to release everything I’ve been feeling, everything I’ve been thinking, and get paid to do it”
    FAST AND FURY-OUS
Tyson Fury plans on turning in an even better display against Deontay Wilder third time around.
Fury said: “I gave my game plan away the first time because he wasn’t good enough to do anything about it.
“And I’ll do the same thing this time because he’s not good enough to do anything about it. Deontay Wilder is a one-trick pony. He’s got one-punch power, we all know that – great.
“But what I’m going to do to Deontay Wilder this time is I’m going to run him over as if I’m an 18-wheeler and he’s a human being. I guarantee he does not go past where he did before [the seventh round].
“Because before, I only had five or six weeks of practicing what I’m going to do to him. “This time, I’ve had 18 months of practicing what I’m going to do to him.
“So I anticipate it’s going to be like an 18-wheeler running over somebody, and that’s what you’re gonna see. I’m building my weight up, trying to get up to 300lbs for this fight. Because I’m looking for a big knockout straight away.”
    ‘THE BIGGER THE BETTER’
Tyson Fury will be over a stone heavier for his trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder than he was in their rematch, his coach Sugarhill Steward has revealed.
Sugarhill told Vegas Insider: “It’s not going to be 300 pounds, it’s probably going to be like 290 or something but not 300 exactly.
“Heavier than last time by 20 pounds or so, why not? He’s training with that weight, he’s built up. It’s not like he’s just putting on fat, it’s building up muscles.
“The bigger the better, the heavier the stronger”
    WARR MACHINE
Tyson Fury’s promoter Frank Warren claims Anthony Joshua will lose his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk.
Warren wrote in Boxing Scene: “I cannot actually imagine a rematch turning out much differently.
“I cannot see Usyk jumping on the party circuit and turning up horrendously out of condition.
“Fortune has very much favoured Joshua since he turned pro.
“The British public craved a heavyweight hero and got behind him in their droves, backing him to the absolute hilt and invested fortunes in ticket and pay-per-view fees.
“The attributes Usyk possesses are shared by Tyson with interest, along with a size and speed advantage.
“A fight between them is a natural one to make as we will now consider an alternative way forward”
    GETTY IMAGES
    REMATCH
Roy Jones Jr urged Anthony Joshua to exercise his rematch clause against Oleksandr Usyk soon.
Jones Jr told DAZN: “This was an excellent fight tonight. This is what boxing needs. We don’t need the other fights we’ve been getting.
“We need these kind of real fights. I would say, we hope Joshua takes the rematch. This was an awesome fight.
“We’d love to see an awesome fight like this again. That’d be better for us. We don’t want to see Usyk-Fury. We’ll see anybody else!”
    BOREFEST
Legendary boxer Roy Jones Jr wants Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk to be kept apart ‘by any means necessary’ as he fears a borefest.
Jones Jr told DAZN: “I hope it don’t happen. Two boxers don’t make for the most entertaining fight.
“We gotta keep Usyk and Fury away from each other by any means necessary. We do not want to see that.
“There should be a clause right now put into any contract: ‘Do not allow Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury to have a fight.’
“We do not need that for boxing”
    MORE FROM FURY
“I would probably say that AJ [Anthony Joshua] is a sports science guy.
“But if you look at our records, I am still undefeated after 13 years and he’s got a double loss on his record. It suggests to me that’s a load of bulls**t.
“I don’t think all those numbers on a screen can help you in a fight — because if all that sports science really worked, with Joshua being built like an Adonis, he wouldn’t have got knocked out by a fat fella in Andy Ruiz [Jr] who had two weeks’ notice before the fight”
    OLD SCHOOL
Tyson Fury has slammed Anthony Joshua’s “bulls**t”“ sports science approach to fighting and insists it just comes down to who has the “biggest balls”.
Fury told The Times: “As many numbers you want to think about in your brain, as many PBs and personal records you want to set, it won’t help you in a fight.
“I am just old school. I eat plenty of food, drink plenty of water, get to bed, get up early. Train hard. That’s all I can do.
“You train hard and then you fight. It’s pretty simple work really. I know this is sounding strange to you because you’ve got the best heavyweight in the world who just doesn’t do all that numbers stuff”
    GETTY IMAGES
    STILL ON
Promoter Frank Warren doesn’t think Anthony Joshua’s loss to Oleksandr Usyk is the final nail in the coffin of an all-Brit battle against Tyson Fury.
Warren told the BBC: “I do believe the public buys into that fight even if AJ isn’t champion. AJ’s said a lot of things since the fight [and] a lot of nonsense from ‘doctor’ [Eddie] Hearn about his eye.
“You got beat by the better man on the night and Joshua said that, to his credit. Joshua is a big fight. They keep talking about him still learning. He’s 32 years old. He’s an Olympic champion and world champion.
“Of course you can still learn every day, but at that level, at 32 years of age, with the experience you’ve got and the amount of professional fights you’ve got, if you’re not absolutely world class at that level then you’re never going to be.
“But having said that, if he did fight Tyson he would have a lot to prove and I do think the public would buy into it”
    WHAT’S NEXT?
Tyson Fury will return for a fight in the UK after his trilogy bout with Deontay Wilder, according to promoter Frank Warren.
Warren told the BBC: “I think he’ll be back here which will be a great homecoming.
“If Tyson wins the fight we’ll sit down. There’s a few options there. [Oleksandr] Usyk would be a massive fight here. The [Anthony] Joshua fight is still a massive fight.
“Dillian Whyte is a big fight, providing he beats Otto Wallin which isn’t a forgone conclusion. There’s some big fights for him”

“And I’d love to have a beer with Tom Jones. Me, Tom and Elvis in a room having a few beers”
    WILD WARNING
Deontay Wilder has issued Tyson Fury with a harrowing warning ahead of Saturday’s clash.
Wilder and Fury have already faced twice with their first fight ending in a controversial draw and Fury winning the second one.
Their first encounter saw The Bronze Bomber coming just inches away from victory when he knocked the British superstar down only for The Gypsy King to get back up to his feet.
But the American boxer said: “This time you won’t get up”

    THROWBACK
Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder shared the ring for the first time in 2018.
The match ended in a dramatic and controversial draw as many still believe Fury deserved the win.
The Gypsy King looked beaten at some point but immediately sat up to continue a fight in which he showed tremendous courage, while showboating on the side.
The British superstar got his revenge in 2020 when he defeated Wilder
The tongue out, the feints, the taunting. @Tyson_Fury at his outrageous best in December 2018 🤣The Gypsy King has to be the only man in the world willing to showboat against Deontay Wilder 😳#FuryWilder3 | October 9 | BT Sport Box Office pic.twitter.com/uQvNCgCeIS— Boxing on BT Sport 🥊 (@BTSportBoxing) October 3, 2021

And it all boils down to this weekend’s Vegas settler.
Both fighters have arrived in the desert for their history-defining fight, with grand arrivals to take place on Tuesday.
There are sure to be words thrown from Fury’s side, but the last time these two met face-to-face, Wilder failed to muster a single mutterance.
The first fight ended in a barn-storming draw, while Fury decimated Wilder in their rematch last year.
Many believe Saturday’s fight will go the same way, but with Wilder’s power, there’s always a chance the American can pull something special out.

However, Phil Foden then drove an equaliser into the bottom corner to keep up his record of scoring against Liverpool every time he’s faced them.
But Mo Salah responded with an excellent run before firing past Ederson before Kevin de Bruyne had the final word by firing in another equaliser.

    MO SALAH:
“I think we played not very good in the first half but in the second half we played well. They had a few chances as well and this is the result so we have to accept it.
“We struggled in the first half but at least it was 0-0. We spoke in the dressing room and made improvement in the second half.
“(My goal) It would’ve been more special if we won the game. It was a good goal, nothing much to say.”
    PEP ON MILNER
Strong words from the Man City boss, saying that Milner wasn’t sent off because it was at Anfield.
👀 Pep Guardiola on James Milner’s foul on Bernardo Silva.🤔 Do you agree? Was it an obvious second yellow?🔵 Manchester City are now odds-on (10/11) to win the Premier League this season after their draw at Anfield. pic.twitter.com/SxuLz9vq9L— Betfair (@Betfair) October 3, 2021

    REDS RECORD
1 – Liverpool remain the only Premier League side yet to lose in the top-flight this season (W4 D3), extending their unbeaten run in all competitions to 19 matches (W13 D6). Momentum. pic.twitter.com/vbkp52PRSz— OptaJoe (@OptaJoe) October 3, 2021

    PHIL FODEN:
“It had it all, it was end to end at times. It was a brilliant game, we’re happy to get a draw and could’ve won it on another day.
“It shows our character. We’ve not won here a lot. We went behind and carried on playing our football.”
    AS IT STANDS
The big winners today are Chelsea. They will top the table headed into the international break.
Liverpool are second a point adrift and Man City are in third, just one further back.

    SAME, GARY
    Imagine not liking football. 🤦🏻‍♂️— Gary Lineker 💙 (@GaryLineker) October 3, 2021

    SPOILS SHARED
It’s a point apiece and both teams will probably settle for that.
Liverpool were not at the races in the first half and lucky not to be out of the game, and also to finish with 11 men on the field.
City have fought back twice to earn a point at their title rivals having got three at Chelsea last week.
Generous applause from Anfield for both teams. A brilliant game.

    FT: LIVERPOOL 2-2 CITY
What a game. I need a lie down.
    LIVERPOOL 2-2 CITY
90, Neither side settling for a point.
First Fabinho runs forward and the crowd urge him to shootout, but he’s tackled.
And then Walker bursts into the box at the other end but De Bruyne can’t find him.
If there’s no crowd in here, these teams take a point. So good to have fans back.
    LIVERPOOL 2-2 CITY
90, 4 minutes of added time.
    DON’T. LET. THIS. END.
    LIVERPOOL 2-2 CITY
86, What a block from Rodri!
Fabinho had an open goal after Ederson came for a free-kick and got nowhere near.
Fabinho took a touch and went to slot the ball home, but in came Rodri with a last-gasp slide to deny him.
    LIVERPOOL 2-2 CITY
83, Fabinho gets a booking for bringing down Silva.
Anfield is almost speechless at what it’s seen from both teams here.
    It’s not over yet.
    .Credit: PA
    LIVERPOOL 2-2 CITY
81, Man City have come again and they’re level again. A stunning response.
Foden got in down the left again and he pulled the ball back I think towards Silva in the area.
It broke to De Bruyne on the edge of the box and he picked his spot in the far corner, albeit with the help of a small deflection.
    This is breathtaking.
    GOALLLLLLLLL!!!!!
De Bruyne!!! It’s 2-2. Fantastic goal! WHAT A GAME!
    LIVERPOOL 2-1 CITY
78, That’s insult to injury for Pep Guardiola.
He is shown a yellow card for his protests and that will make him feel no better.
The City boss is furious that Milner was still on the pitch and his side are now behind again.
To make matters worse, Milner has just been taken off and Gomez on in his place.
    .Credit: Reuters
    LIVERPOOL 2-1 CITY
76, From out of absolutely nothing, Salah has put Liverpool back in front.
He left two Man City defenders for dead and worked his way into the box before turning Dias inside out.
The Egyptian had a tight angle, but fired it into the far corner.
A simply brilliant goal – Liverpool back in front.
    GOALLLLLLL!!!!!
Mo Salah!!! An incredible goal! 2-1 Liverpool.
    LIVERPOOL 1-1 CITY
73, Milner has just brought down Bernardo, and somehow avoided a second yellow card.
Pep Guardiola is furious. That was a blatant booking.
Not even a VAR check. Milner stays on the pitch somehow.
    .Credit: Reuters
    LIVERPOOL 1-1 CITY
71, What a final 20 minutes we have in store.
My money is on a winner at either end, I don’t think this ends a draw.

    LIVERPOOL 1-1 CITY
70, What a finish from Foden, from the tightest of angles he has picked out the bottom corner with a rasping shot.
Man City are level, they have responded.
Jesus made the run in from the right and slid it in to Foden down the left, and the local lad fired Pep’s men level.
    GOALLLLLLLLL!!!!!!
    Phil Foden!! Man City level!
    LIVERPOOL 1-0 CITY
68, Liverpool respond with Firmino coming on for Jota. So the familiar front three of Mane-Salah-Firmino are reunited.
Jesus has switched to the left flak for City, and he had a real chance just then to run at Milner and get his shot on goal, but he wasted it.
    LIVERPOOL 1-0 CITY
65, 25 minutes to go and how will City respond?
Looks like we’re about to see Sterling come off the bench. Indeed he does come on to replace Grealish.
Jota, meanwhile, is booked for a foul on De Bruyne.
    LIVERPOOL 1-0 CITY
61, Man City won’t believe they’re behind in this, but they didn’t take their chance in the first-half when they had Liverpool on the ropes.
They’ve started this second half like a team that are just soaking up pressure again.
Excellent from Klopp and Liverpool to reverse the momentum.
