JAMIE CARRAGHER labelled Harry Kane’s performance in Spurs’ dramatic 3-2 win over City as his best of the season. The England forward was instrumental up-top for the North London club scoring two at the Etihad including a thrilling last minute winner.
Pep suggested that his failed summer transfer target is the reason why Spurs secured all three points.
Guardiola said: “Tottenham have a lot of quality, they give the ball to Harry Kane. They are really good up front.”
Having missed out on Kane, Barcelona wonderkid Nico Gonzalez is next on Guardiola’s shopping list.
The 20-year-old broke into the first team this season which has attracted the attention of the City boss, but his £500 million release clause could be a stumbling block in Pep’s pursuit.
Elsewhere, Marcelo Bielsa has decided he will walk away the moment he feels it is for the good of the club.
The Leeds boss is yet to be offered a new contract for the Yorkshire club leaving fears that his four-year-tenure at Leeds will soon come to an end.

    Art of the deal
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has revealed the reason why no additions were made in the January transfer window.
Arteta said: “Edu and his team did a fantastic job and they continue to do that.
“We only want the best players and the best people in this club.
“When we are in a rush and the reasons are not right for getting a player into the club, we decide not to do it”
    This is Gunner sting
Arsenal have been left ‘angry’ after it was revealed that Juventus star signing Dusan Vlahovic’s representatives sabotaged a potential move to the Emirates from Fiorentina.
The Gunners were also keen on using Lucas Torreira in the deal, swapping his loan move for a permanent transfer to the Serie A side.
According to Torreira’s agent, Pablo Bentancur, the north Londoners are furious about the situation.
When speaking to Sport890, Bentancur said: “Now, Arsenal are a bit angry because they wanted Vlahovic.
“Fiorentina wanted to sell him, but the agents said he had to go to Juventus – you always do what the player wants”
    Kyl-er Mbappe blow
Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe could be about to bring an end to months of transfer speculation by staying put in France.
Mbappe has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid when his PSG contract expires this summer.
Reports also suggested the star striker is open to a possible Liverpool switch in June.
According to The Independent, however, PSG are prepared to make the France international the highest-paid player in the world in order to convince him to stay.
The report claims the Ligue 1 leaders are ready to pay Mbappe a basic wage of close to £1million A WEEK in any new deal – that would far outstrip anything Real could bid

    Roy not Keane
Manchester United hero Roy Keane snubbed a return to management with old club Sunderland because of the length of the contract.
SunSport understand that the Black Cats would only guarantee Keane a position for the season.
The legendary United skipper would have needed to shelve his lucrative TV deal to risk it all on gaining League One promotion.
The Irishman was not concerned about the drop in salary but there was no chance for him to plan ahead with the initial suggestion of a short-term stint
    Wilshere reacts to move
Jack Wilshere has opened up on his move to Aarhus Gymnastikforening after spending almost a year as a free agent.
Wilshere said: “Since I started training with Arsenal, I have never hidden the fact that it was to be ready for 2022 and for a new club.
“Now the right club is here, and it will be an exciting new challenge for me. I am in a place in my career where I need to get started again after a difficult period and AGF have offered me that opportunity.
“For that I am very grateful, and I will do everything I can to live up to the expectations. I am very much looking forward to contributing to the team”
    The Real deal
Real Madrid are planning to release seven players including Gareth Bale and Eden Hazard.
Real are pushing to sign Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe, whose contract expires in the summer, but the star striker would carry a heavy wage bill.
According to Marca, Bale could leave with Marcelo, Isco, Jesus Vallejo, Mariano Diaz and Dani Ceballos.
It is added that Los Blancos may also try to cash in on Hazard, who in the winter was linked with a return to Chelsea
    Alv some of that
Arsenal are interested in landing Juventus loanee Alvaro Morata in a sensational summer swoop.
Morata has been put up for sale by parent club Atletico Madrid and is free to leave from July onwards.
According to Tuttomercarto, the Gunners have made the centre-forward one of their targets going into the summer.
Manager Mikel Arteta is desperate to bring in new striker after losing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Barcelona in January.
Arteta is also expected to be without Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah next season, with both out of contract come June.
The Spain international is understood to be open to a move to the Emirates, despite his Premier League struggles while at Chelsea

    Gunning for Ru
Arsenal have enquired about Napoli star Fabian Ruiz in the summer.
Ruiz is under contract with the Partenopei until the end of next term.
But he has refused to sign a new contract with the club, so the Serie A side know this summer is the last realistic chance they have to recoup some money for him.
Barcelona and Real Madrid have both been linked with a move for the talented midfielder.
According to The Mirror, however, the Gunners may have joined the race for the Spain international after meeting with his reps in an attempt to understand his demands
    Wolves 2-1 Leicester
Wolves defeated Leicester 2-1 in their Premier League encounter at Molineux.
The hosts opened the scoring after just nine minutes with Ruben Neves.
But the Foxes equalised four minutes before half-time thanks to Ademola Lookman.
However, Bruno Lage’s men regained the lead on 66 minutes with Daniel Podence
    Ron the go
Manchester United will NOT stand in Cristiano Ronaldo’s way if he decides to leave in the summer.
United face a major battle to even reach the Champions League during another disappointing campaign.
Ronaldo has made his frustrations clear over the Red Devils’ inability to challenge for the Premier League title.
According to the Mirror, the Manchester giants will not stand in the five time Ballon d’Or winner’s way if he opts to leave Old Trafford this summer.
The 37-year-old would still have one-year left on his deal, but United would still let him go

    Wilshere finds new club
Former Arsenal star Jack Wilshere has signed for Danish club Aarhus Gymnastikforening.
Wilshere has been without a team ever since leaving Bournemouth last year.
The midfielder had been training with the Gunners and boss Mikel Arteta as his search for a return to football dragged on.
But finally, the ex-England international has found his move with AGF confirming the deal
    De Jong blow
Manchester United and Chelsea’s pursuit of Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong has been handed a blow as the midfielder revealed his intentions to stay at the Nou Camp for ‘many more years’ to come.
De Jong told The Guardian: “I’m very happy I’m at Barcelona: from a young age I’ve wanted to be here, so in that way it has been a dream come true.
“But I would have liked to win more trophies than we did in my first two years. I expected more in that sense, let’s put it that way.
“But other than that, I’m very happy here and hopefully [will be here] for many more years”
    Bielsa’s future in doubt
Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa will walk away the moment he decides it is for the good of the club.
And there are fears Bielsa has already decided to end his four-year Elland Road reign in just three months’ time.
The Argentine insists he will know when to go while club insiders acknowledge a noticeable change recently.
The 66-year-old has yet to be offered another one-year contract and on Friday he again dodged questions about his plans, saying: “It is not a subject we should talk about at this moment.”
Yet, while Bielsa remains as committed as ever to securing Leeds’ place in the Premier League, sources close to him hint this will be his final campaign in charge
    HT: Wolves 1-1 Leicester
Wolves and Leicester are tied 1-1 during their Premier League clash at the Molineux.
Ruben Neves opened the scoring after just nine minutes.
But Ademola Lookman put the Foxes back in the game with an equaliser on 41 minutes.
    The game has reached half-time
    GETTY IMAGES
    Gon the move
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is eyeing Barcelona wonderkid Nico Gonzalez, whose dad used to be a youth coach at City.
Gonzalez, who broke into the Barca first team this season, has a huge £500million release clause but only earns around £10,000-a-week.
The Blaugrana are not out of the woods financially and have delayed a number of contract renewals — including the 20-year-old’s.
The midfielder’s father Fran is pals with Guardiola from their LaLiga playing days while the clubs are on good terms after Ferran Torres’ move from the Citizens to Catalonia in December.
The SPaniard has 20 months left on his deal and City are poised if Barcelona elect to cash in this summer
    Leeds 2-4 Man Utd
Manchester United beat Leeds 4-2 in a Premier League encounter at Elland Road.
Under-fire United skipper Harry Maguire opened the scoring on 34 minutes and Bruno Fernandes doubled the visitors’ lead in the fifth minute of stoppage time before half-time.
But the Red Devils surrendered their lead in just 60 seconds when Rodrigo hit the back of the net on 53 minutes and Raphinha equalised.
But United regained the lead with Fred in the 70th minute before Anthony Elanga sealed the win two minutes before full-time
    Hurri-Kane Harry
Tottenham superstar Harry Kane led his team to a 3-2 victory against Manchester City at the Etihad.
Kane scored for the first time against City during Pep Guardiola’s reign at the helm – in fact, he found the back of the net twice.
Never before, in nine previous meetings during Guardiola’s time in charge, has the star striker found the net.
It also proved why the Spanish head coach was so keen to sign the England international last summer
    Starting Au new
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored his first goal for Barcelona since joining from Arsenal.
The 32-year-old Gabon international scampered onto a long ball over the top in the 23rd minute of a LaLiga game against Valencia on Sunday.
He raced clear and fired an unstoppable strike into the top corner as he hit the back of the net for the first time in Spain.
The ex-Gunner then celebrated with his trademark front flip as he kick-started his career with Barca.

    Elanga gets struck by object
Man United youngster Anthony Elanga was hit by an object after celebrating Fred’s second half strike against Leeds.
Elanga as well as Fred were brought on for Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard in order to change United’s fortunes. And they did.
Fred finished off a sweeping counter attack to restore United’s lead and strengthen their grip on fourth place.
And as United’s players celebrated the thumping finish, Elanga was hit by an object coming from the stands.
United’s medical team attended to the teenager and after a quick check over he was cleared to play the rest of the game.
    Fred restores United’s lead
Leeds are hosting Manchester United in an absolute thriller at Elland Road.
Super-sub Fred has given United a 3-2 lead after Rodrigo and Rafinha scored in just 59 seconds to level it for Leeds.
With 15 minutes or so remaining Leeds really need to pick themselves up to have another go at the visitors.
    No Kidd-ing
Kidderminster Harriers’ FA Cup hero Matt Preston is being treated in hospital after suffering a ‘serious injury’ during a game against Alfreton Town.
The 26-year-old, who was named man of the match in Kidderminster’s 2-1 FA Cup fourth round defeat to West Ham two weeks ago, was injured following a challenge in the 25th minute of their National League North match on Saturday.
Medics worked on him for 25 minutes on the pitch before the game was abandoned.
Preston was then taken to hospital by ambulance as he received more treatment at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
X-rays later showed he has potentially suffered a double leg break.
On Sunday afternoon Preston posted a picture of him giving a thumbs up from his hospital bed.

    Ooh ahh Cantona
Man United legend Roy Keane hilariously revealed Eric Cantona was ‘really good on a night out’ while live on air.
Cantona played for both Manchester United and Leeds, with the two teams facing off in a grudge Premier League clash on Sunday.
And during the build up to kick off Sky Sports showed a package of Cantona, in which the Frenchman was enjoying a cold pint.
Keane though was surprised by his choice of drink, as he cracked a smile while sharing stories of their good times guzzling endless bottles of bubbly.
He said: “As I said [he was] a brilliant personality in the dressing room, when you’re travelling with him. A good guy, classy guy.
“And as I said, really, really good on a night out as well.
“I’m surprised we saw him drinking a pint, when we used to go out there was always champagne, he’s obviously made a few bob in his time at United.”

    James snubs Shaw’s handshake
Leeds winger Dan James refused to shake hands with his old Manchester United pal Luke Shaw after the left-back checked up on him.
With James down on the deck following a tackle during Leeds vs Manchester United, Shaw came over to offer his hand.
But the Leeds man SNUBBED Shaw’s outstretched peace offering, much to the bemusement of the England star.
James looked at his hand and chose not to take it, with Shaw left red-faced after being completely blanked by the Welsh winger.
The 24-year-old, who spent two unsuccessful years at Old Trafford, simply turned away in spite after taking a blow to the face.
    City slam Foden’s mum attack
Man City have slammed the “appalling abuse” suffered by Phil Foden and his family after a horrifying video showing his mum hurt in a brawl emerged overnight.
Claire Foden, 41, was punched in the face during a furious fire extinguisher brawl after Amir Khan’s boxing match.
Man City chiefs have now released a statement telling of their “shock” – and say they will support the star and his loved ones.
“The club is aware of a video which has circulated on social media showing Phil Foden and his family being harassed and abused,” officials said.
“We are shocked and appalled about the nature of the abuse and ensuing assault on one of Phil’s family members.
“We will continue to give Phil and his family all the support and assistance they need.”
    Rob’s left a bloody mess
Robin Koch was left in a bloody mess after nastily clashing heads with Scott McTominay in Leeds’ clash with Manchester United.
In the 13th minute of the game the 25-year-old German defender had played the ball before being met head on by the Scottish midfielder.
He went down and it was immediately clear that a nasty gash had formed on his forehead.
The Leeds medics raced on to treat him and Koch was able to carry on after having his head bandaged up.
But not before he changed both his shirt AND shorts as blood had dripped onto them.
The Leeds staff were forced to block the cameras view of Koch while he stripped down and changed his shorts on the sidelines.

    FT: Leeds 2-4 Man Utd
Man Utd now find themselves 4 points clear of West Ham and Arsenal.
Tottenham, Arsenal and Wolves all have three games in hand over Man Utd in fourth place.
They needed this today to put points on the board and put pressure back on their rivals.

    FT: Leeds 2-4 Man Utd
The referee blows his whistle to bring this one to a close.
Ralf Rangnick will feel his substitutions changed the game once they had allowed Leeds back into the game.
A much needed win for Man Utd with teams around them winning.
    Leeds 2-4 Man Utd
90+4. Despite their attacking qualities, Leeds do not have the players to rectify the goals they ship at the other end.
Not many teams would in world football to be fair.
Something needs to be done to make them a tighter unit at the back and not to present so many chances to their opponents.

    Leeds 2-4 Man Utd
90+2. Man Utd are taking the sting out the game but keeping possession.
It has really dampened the enthusiasm of the home fans.
They try to come forward again with Dan James but Wan-Bissaka tackles him.
    Leeds 2-4 Man Utd
    90. We will have five added minutes here.
    Leeds 2 Man Utd 4
    89. They are just too open at the back.
In the Premier League they will get punished too often playing like that.
They miss Kalvin Phillips sitting in that defensive midfielder role in front of the their back four, he offers the defence protection.
Elanga keeps his composure and finishes well, some sort of payback for being struck with an object earlier.
Goal – Man Utd lead 2-4!
Elanga scores to make it two goals from Rangnick’s two subs.
    Leeds 2-3 Man Utd
    86. As Leeds continue to try and press the visitors, Ralf Rangnick makes another substitution to try and see the game out.
Ronaldo is brought off to great cheers, boos and some other noises.
The player sees the funny side of this.

    Leeds 2-3 Man Utd
    83. Rodrigo has a shot from outside the box that may cause SpaceX more issues than it did De Gea.
Shame as Dan James was in loads of space if he had slotted him in on the left.
James lets him know about it as well.
Leeds 2-3 Man Utd – Klich chance!
    81. The ball comes to the Leeds player on the edge of the box.
As it bounces up he keeps his eye on it and gets his head over it.
De Gea tips his effort over the bar.
    Leeds 2-3 Man Utd
    80. Irrelevant to the outcome, this second half has been brilliant.
Not just in terms of action but mainly due to the half-time downpour.
It is like watching a game from the 70’s with all the heavy tackles flying in.
    Leeds 2-3 Man Utd
    78. Leeds have a corner as they search for an equaliser.
The ball is played short and Dallas delivers it in.
    McTominay clears for Man Utd.
    Leeds 2-3 Man Utd
    76. With 15 minutes or so remaining Leeds really need to pick themselves up to have another go at the visitors.
They risk leaving themselves open at the back to the counter-attack but needs must.

Leeds 2-3 Man Utd – Klich chance!
    74. What a chance for Leeds to draw level.
Kilch finds the ball at his feet in the box with no one wanted to touch him.
All he has to do is place the ball in the corner and it is surely a goal, instead he hits it straight at De Gea.
Leeds 2-3 Man Utd – Chance for Elanga!
    72. Man United could have had some daylight between them then.
Great counter-attack by Man Utd with the ball shifted to the youngster with only the Leeds keeper ahead of him.
His scuffed shot goes straight to Meslier.
    Leeds 2-3 Man Utd
    70. It seems Elanga was struck by something during their celebrations for the goal.
Nobody wants to see this ugly side of football come back.
Fred certainly wasn’t brought on for his goal scoring prowess but his shot had too much power at the near post for Meslier.
Goal – Man Utd take the lead 2-3
Substitute Fred scores after just coming off the bench.
    Leeds 2-2 Man Utd
    68. I think we will see some cards in this game before the final whistle.
The soaked surface is great for the sliding tackle as both teams are utilising.

    Leeds 2-2 Man Utd
    66. Lingard and Pogba leave the pitch for Fred and Elanga.
Surprise that as the Frenchman seemed to be Man Utd stand out player in the game so far.
    Leeds 2-2 Man Utd
    64. Luke Shaw’s corner is headed clear as Leeds look to counter.
Raphinha loses out to the left-back as he tracks back.
A long ball down the left-wing is won by a sliding Wan-Bissaka.
    Leeds 2-2 Man Utd
    62. It looks like Man Utd are bringing on Fred and Elanga.
McTominay has what seems to be a shot from a wide angle, straight into the arms of Meslier.
Sancho gets a shot away which takes a slight deflection, just taking it wide of the post.
    Leeds 2-2 Man Utd
    60. Gelhardt picks the ball up on the edge of the Man Utd box.
He steps to one side and gets his shot away.
De Gea deals with this one and gratefully grabs the ball into his chest.
    Leeds 2-2 Man Utd
    58. Those goals have reignited the atmosphere here at Elland Road.
Every time Leeds go forward now the crowd erupts.
Man Utd haven’t troubled Meslier’s goal so far.
    Leeds 2-2 Man Utd
    56. Man Utd need to compose themselves here.
They look shell-shocked after that double salvo from Leeds.
The surface water on the pitch is being much better adapted to by the home side.

    Leeds 2-2 Man Utd
    54. What an insane couple of minutes that has been.
Man Utd have hit the self-destruct button here.
De Gea’s mistake for the first goal has inspired Leeds.

He said: “My boxing career, I’ve done more than I ever expected.
“Maybe I peaked too early in my career. At 17 I was in the Olympics, won a world title at 21/22 – I’m 35 now, been in the game a very long time.
“I’m an old man now. I want to spend time with my kids and my family.”
    Brook’s pinnacle career moment
Kell Brook has revealed that beating Amir Khan was the pinnacle of his career.
And he has no plans of hanging up his gloves anytime soon.
Kell Brook: “I’ve had a fantastic career. Over to America [to beat] Shawn Porter for the IBF title. Been in with GGG, Spence, Crawford. This [Amir Khan] is the icing on the cake for me. I can live at peace with myself. I’m gonna sit down with my family, see if we wanna carry on.”— Michael Benson (@MichaelBensonn) February 20, 2022

    Khan praises Brook’s performance
Amir Khan offered no excuses for his loss at the hands of long-time foe Kell Brook.
The pair have been at logger-heads for a decade and Brook got the better of Khan when they finally settled their differences.
However, after the fight Khan had nothing but good things to say about his adversary.
He said: “No excuses the better man won and he boxed out of his skin I have to say.
I didn’t expect that from him especially from the fights I have seen before.
“No disrespect to Kell he put on a great performance today and he came out to win. At the end of the day we have rivalries but as I say after I punch them we can be friends.
“He put a great performance on and did everything he needed to. He was the best man tonight. I had a great, great training camp, but I just couldn’t get going.
“I was missing quite a lot. Kell was on his A-game, all respect goes out to him.”
    Brooks’ brutality paid off
Brook’s took no prisoners when he discarded of Khan last night.
Before the fight, both fighters predicted how they planned to win the brawl.
But in the end Brook prevailed, and after the fight stats were revealed, it was clear there would only be one winner on the night.
The stats from the fight showed that Brook landed 64 power punches – compared to Khan’s measly 19, talkSPORT reported.
    Best of British
Conor Benn is ready to go toe-to-toe with Kell Brook after being impressed with his counterpart’s demolition of Amir Khan.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Benn mused: “After Josh Kelly messed up, who is there now for me?
“Who can I really test myself against? Who claims to be the best in Britain?
“He is still sharp, he has still got his timing, he has still got accuracy. That makes the fight more realistic.”
    Brook calls out Eubank
Kell Brook has called out Chris Eubank Jr after his brutal stoppage of Amir Khan last night.
The Sheffield-born slugger name-dropped Eubank when asked who he plans to fight next.
And if the price is right, Brook’s open to getting in the ring with anybody – especially Eubank.
He told Sky Sports: “I don’t like Eubank, we could fight Eubank, there’s some big fights out there for me.
“If the millions are out I will fight because I’m a prize fighter at the end of the day. I’ve three beautiful daughters who want that money off me, at the end of the day I’m a prize fighter.”
    Coffee break
Kell Brook revealed that he and Amir Khan buried their decade-long feud after the fight and even lined up a future coffee date.
And even though Brook got the better of his former foe, he still found time to praise Khan for his brave display.
Brook told Behind the glove: “I said, ‘Listen, you’ve got the heart of a lion’. He took some big shots.
“I said, ‘Listen, let’s just put that to bed now’. We both said we’re going to put that to bed and maybe have a coffee one time.”
    Brook: I told ya
Kell Brook had ‘I told ya’ written on his hand wraps.
He really did after that display.
The Sheffield star pummelled his fierce rival Khan as the fight wore on, and what emotion he showed at the end.

    Khan holding retirement talks
Amir Khan has hinted that that will be the final time we will see him in a boxing ring.
Devastated Khan said following his defeat: “When I was in the ring, I used to have that excitement and that push.
“I just didn’t have it in me. I felt quite flat.
“That may be a sign for me, that maybe I am calling it a day.”

    Brook on his 4am disruption
Kell Brook claimed someone was making noise trying to make him up at 4am the night before his huge victory.
Brook said of some suspected underhand tactics: “I even had someone knocking on my hotel door at 4am in the morning trying to upset my preparation.
“They tried to get into my head all week but I took care of business. I can live at peace with myself. I’m back, baby.”
    Khan’t go on anymore
Amir Khan has all-but confirmed he is retiring from boxing, saying he wants to spend time with family and has loads of money in the bank.
Khan told SecondsOut: “I think the timing wasn’t there, my reactions were kind of slow.
“My speed there but reaction on shots he was coming at me [with] wasn’t there and that’s a sign to me.
“I’ve made tons of money from the sport boxing, I think it’s time I spent time with my loved ones now.
“I think it’s time to maybe call it a day.”

Revealed: What Brook said to Khan
Kell Brook revealed what he said to Amir Khan at the end of the fight during their embrace.
Brook said after his triumph: “I said, ‘Listen, you’ve got the heart of a lion’. He took some big shots.
“I said, ‘Listen, let’s just put that to bed now’. We both said we’re going to put that to bed and maybe have a coffee one time.
“Whoever gets in that ring, you have to give them that respect. He put up a fight, he just came second tonight.”

    Big fight stats
Kell Brook led on ALL of the punch stats for the fight.
The Sheffield star landed 79 blows to Khan’s 39.
Dominant victory for Brook as the 35-year-old gained redemption.

    There IS a rematch clause
Should he fancy it and not retire, Amir Khan can get revenge for his brutal loss to Kell Brook as the pair’s grudge match has a rematch clause.
Brook finally settled the score with his bitter rival in a fight of the year contender Manchester a few hours ago.
However, promoter Ben Shalom does not expect it to be exercised.
Speaking before the bout, he revealed: “There is a rematch clause as a precaution should anything go wrong.
“But I can’t see it going to a rematch. This could end in a knockout and I don’t think the other fighter will want a rematch after this.
“Whoever wins on Saturday night will be the winner and it will be left at that.”
Eubank Jr says Brook has spice
Chris Eubank Jr said after being called out by Kell Brook: “He’s proven tonight that he still has the spice.
“Now I wanna see how spicy he can get with me because I’m not Amir Khan.
“We have history, he’s the reason I didn’t fight Gennady Golovkin and I’ve never forgiven him for that.”
    Mayweather vs Brook
Floyd Mayweather was called out by Kell Brook’s trainer Dominic Ingle after they finally got one over on Amir Khan.
Khan spent several wasted years of his prime chasing a mega-money fight with Mayweather, to no avail.
Ingle said: “He seems to want to fight everybody that’s not a boxer. But why not? If it can be made, Ben you’re the man, apparently.
“You’re the new man on the block, so get in touch with Floyd and whether it’s an exhibition or a fight, it’s probably something we can do.”

    What Brook said to Khan
Kell Brook has revealed what he said to Amir Khan at the end of the fight.
Brook revealed: “I said, ‘Listen, you’ve got the heart of a lion’. He took some big shots.
“I said, ‘Listen, let’s just put that to bed now’. We both said we’re going to put that to bed and maybe have a coffee one time.
“Whoever gets in that ring, you have to give them that respect. He put up a fight, he just came second tonight.”
    Khan gives respect to Brook
Khan took his beating magnanimously, and said the best man won.
Khan said in his dressing room after the fight: “I’m very upset. I just couldn’t get it going.
“Kell was the best man tonight. Respect to him.”

    Brook on 4am disruption
Kell Brook says someone was making noise trying to make him up at 4am last night.
Brook said of some suspected underhand tactics: “I even had someone knocking on my hotel door at 4am in the morning trying to upset my preparation.
“They tried to get into my head all week but I took care of business. I can live at peace with myself. I’m back, baby.”
Kell Brook ‘knew it was going to happen’
Special K roared: “I always knew it was going to happen. What a feeling.
“I’m back on top now and I’ve got the bragging rights.
“I always knew from when I was 18 that I was a better fighter than him and tonight the fans got to see a mega fight and I dealt with him.
“I even had to put different gloves on in the ring. I was told they weren’t gonna pay me if I didn’t put them on.
    Eubank Jr on Brook fight
Eubank Jr, 32, told Sky Sports: “I don’t like him, he don’t like me. We can make it happen.”
Their feud dates back to 2016, when Eubank Jr saw talks to fight middleweight king Gennady Golovkin collapse.
Brook would jump two divisions to face GGG – losing in five rounds and suffering a fractured eye socket in the process.
Eubank Jr mocked the loss for years and Brook has not forgotten it, opening the door to a fight in the near future.
He said: “I’ve got three daughters, and they need these millions.”
    Khan speaks on retirement
Beaten Khan said: “I need to sit down with my family.
“That love for the sport is not there anymore like it was before.
“I felt quite flat, I think that’s maybe a sign I should be calling it a day, but let’s see.”
    Rematch clause inserted
Amir Khan can get revenge for his brutal loss to Kell Brook as the pair’s grudge match has a rematch clause.
    Brook’s hand wraps
Brook had ‘I told ya’ written on his hand.
    He did too.

    Khan vs Brook
Round 5 – Khan smiles at Brook, almost to say ‘haven’t you put me down yet?’
It’s incredible that Khan hasn’t hit the canvas yet. For all the talk about his chin, he’s taken some real shots here.
But Brook is completely in control.
    Khan vs Brook
Round 5 – The end is surely near.
    Brook is landing at will.
    Khan vs Brook
Round 4 – I have to give that one to Brook as well. He’s completely in charge here and amazing that Khan hasn’t been done.
For the second round in a row, Khan ends it on the ropes and is happy just to be stumbling back to his corner.
    Khan vs Brook
Round 4 – Brook lands AGAIN! How is Khan still up? He’s launching windmills and trying to fight back.

    Khan vs Brook
Round 3 – Khan looking to come forward more and dictate the pace, maybe sensing he’s behind early. But he’s wild as he looks to lunge in and land.
Brook the more composed and waiting patiently for his chance to land.
Brook is well on top. He’s caught Khan again at the end of the round and the Bolton boy is happy to just see the bell.
One-way traffic so far – a clinic from Brook.
    Khan vs Brook
Round 2 – A more even round that one, but still probably in favour of Brook.
He landed a sweeping right hand as the pair broke but Khan took it well.
Khan happy just to get through that and get his legs back under him.
    Khan vs Brook
Round 2 – Chants of ‘Amir, Amir’ go up as Khan looks to bounce back in the second round.
He’s got his legs back and looking steadier, but a bit more hesitant to throw.
Brook is looking to time that counter again.
    Khan vs Brook
Round 1 – What a second half to the round for Brook.
He landed repeatedly on Khan and somehow the Bolton man didn’t go down.
Khan’s legs were wobbling big time and Brook was walking him down and smiling.
    First round to Kell.
    Khan vs Brook
Round 1 – Brook ROCKS Khan. His legs are shaking massively here.

    Khan vs Brook
Round 1 – Brook is instantly on the front foot and looking to walk down Khan.
The Bolton boxer is fighting on the back foot and looking very quick and sharp.
    ‘Obey my commands’
Victor Loughlin gives the fighters their final instructions.
Khan is bouncing up and down while Brook stares at him.
    WE’RE READY TO GO!
    Final countdown
Khan stalks his way round the ring while Brook has his back turned and is shadow boxing.
Michael Buffer is making the final introductions.
    On the way
‘Ain’t Nobody’ by Diana King is the walk-on music for Khan as he literally runs down the ramp to the ring.
He’s bouncing up and down and a bit on edge.
    Here comes Amir
Khan is now on his way to the ring dressed all in white with gold trim.
He looks focussed and in the zone.
Hard to say where the majority of the support is.
    Glove story
Brook’s gloves have been taken off and checked.
I’ve never seen anything like this.
The gloves are going back on. Everything seems to be OK.

    Turn up the lights
A huge ovation for Special K as he leaps into the ring.
He’s dressed in a red robe with gold trim and black gloves on and he looks up for the battle.
What an atmosphere in the Manchester Arena.
    All of the lights
It looks like we’re ready to go… finally!
Kell Brook is on his way to the arena, ‘All of the Lights’ is playing in Manchester.

But something has happened in Kell Brook’s dressing room, with sounds of an argument reported by Sky.

The fight is being delayed! We’ll bring you all the latest as it happens.

Big Frazer Clarke – now a 1-0 heavyweight – has made his prediction for the fight.
And the GB star is picking Kell Brook.
    Backstage dispute latest
We’re hearing that the gloves dispute has been resolved.
Just minutes – actually wait there, just SECONDS – until the fighters make their anticipated ring walks.
My word the Manchester Arena is absolutely buzzing.
    Backstage dispute
But wait there – we’re not quite at the ring walks yet.
There has been a dispute backstage over the gloves.
Sky Sports are saying that it is coming from Kell Brook’s side.
We’ll bring you all of the latest from this as we know.
    Khan or Brook?
SunSport readers have spoken, and you reckon – very narrowly – that Kell Brook is winning tonight.
    Very, very narrow though.

    How the fighters compare
For the final time tonight, here is how Amir Khan and Kell Brook compare ahead of the huge main event.
Where is your money going tonight?

    Palace 0-0 Chelsea
    47. Palace have come out of the traps first in the second-half.
They are looking to get the ball forward fast and stretch the Chelsea defence.
The ball is played into the box but again the story is no Palace player being able to get on the end of it.
    Palace 0-0 Chelsea
    45. The second half is underway.
Jack Butland is being brought on for the home side.
We have to assume that Guaita has picked up an injury.
    First-half stats
Chelsea have dominated the stats but have nothing to show for their first-half exploits.

    HT: Palace 0-0 Chelsea
Crystal Palace started to grow into the game as the half went on.
It is plain to see that when they get the ball to Zaha and Olise things begin to happen for them.
Ayew needs to make more runs looking to get a touch to these crosses whipped across the six-yard box.

    HT: Palace 0-0 Chelsea
The referee brings the half to a close.
An even tight affair with little between the teams.
Tuchel will be wanting his Chelsea team to stamp their authority on this game more and show why they are challenging for a top four spot.
    Palace 0-0 Chelsea
    47. Mendy slowly takes a goal kick.
Chelsea will be happy to go in now with Palace growing into this game more and more.
    The ball is punted downfield.
Palace 0-0 Chelsea – Chance for Palace!
    46. Great break by Palace and ball is played into the path of Zaha.
He closes in on goal from a tight angle and tries to bend the ball into the far corner.
Mendy is rooted to the spot and the ball goes narrowly passed the far post.
    Palace 0-0 Chelsea
    44. Havertz tries to fashion enough space to get the ball into the box.
It is blocked by Palace for a corner.
    Ziyech’s corner is headed clear.
    Palace 0-0 Chelsea
    42. Guehi receives some treatment breaking up play.
Shame as Palace were getting some momentum in the last five minutes.
The game is restarted with the ball dropped to Jorginho.
    Palace 0-0 Chelsea
    41. Palace play another ball into the box which is easily dealt with by Chelsea.
The Eagles win are winning the second-ball all of the time at the moment.

    Palace 0-0 Chelsea
    39. Palace have a series of corners, one after the other.
Chelsea deal with them, utilising their dominance in the air.
Palace get the ball back and continue to press.
Palace 0-0 Chelsea – Sarr close!
    36. The ball comes out the edge of the Palace box and is met by Sarr.
The left-footed defender hits the ball first time.
He is always cutting across the ball, taking it away from goal all of the time.
Not far away from that back post.
    Palace 0-0 Chelsea
    35. It seems quite a lethargic Chelsea performance so far.
Not much movement in the final third, struggling to find that killer pass without it.
    Palace 0-0 Chelsea
    33. The Blues (or fluorescent yellows) are seeing more and more of the ball in the final third of the Palace half.
They seem to run out of ideas when they get to the edge of the box and give away possession all too often.
Tuchel will not be happy with the lack of creativity from his team so far.
    Palace 0-0 Chelsea
    31. Palace have a free-kick out wide.
The ball is swung into the back post but is overhit and goes out of play.

    Palace 0-0 Chelsea
    29. The ball is played into Lukaku who turns and gets a shot away.
The keeper saves, play continues and then the linesman lifts his flag to notify us of an offside from last weekend.
    Palace 0-0 Chelsea
    28. Chelsea get down the left-hand side and the threaded ball towards the byline is just reached by a sliding Havertz.
His attempted cross is blocked by a Palace player for a Chelsea corner.
    Palace 0-0 Chelsea
    26. Mitchell is down for Palace and receiving some treatment to an ankle injury.
He is back to his feet after the magic spray makes an appearance.
    Palace 0-0 Chelsea
    25. Vieira needs to adjust Palace’s press of Chelsea.
Standing-off is not going to work as it plays into The Blues hands as they are so confident in possession of the ball.
The Eagles need to get in their faces and give them no time on the ball.
    Palace 0-0 Chelsea
    23. Ayew manages to break up play deep in his own half and breaks away on the counter-attack.
He looks for Olise’s run but the striker is beaten to the ball by the Chelsea defender.

    Palace 0-0 Chelsea
    21. The game hasn’t really taken off yet.
Chelsea are taking their time, patiently trying to build something.
Palace are chasing shadows at times.
    Palace 0-0 Chelsea
    19. The one save made by Guaita from Rudiger is all we have had here in the opening 20 minutes.
Palace will be happy they are keeping Chelsea to long-range efforts so far.
    Palace 0-0 Chelsea
    17. Sarr is looking to get forward more down the left to offer options for the attackers.
He seems to have a decent delivery with his first few attempts.
Chelsea are dominating without creating anything at the moment.
    Palace 0-0 Chelsea
    15. Benteke is coming wide looking for the ball on the right-hand side.
It is frustrating to see as you want your aerial threat to be in the box for the wide men to hit.
A deep ball towards Zaha is overhit for a Chelsea goal kick.
    Palace 0-0 Chelsea
    13. Palace find themselves deep in the Chelsea half in the corner.
They work the ball across the six yard box but there is no one there in a Palace shirt to get the deciding touch.

Next on the itinerary for City is Spurs and they’ll be no better time to face the North London club who have lost their last three consecutive league fixtures.
However, a positive result against the league leaders could change the fortunes as Antonio Conte’s are still in the hunt for a top four finish.
And when the sides met on the opening weekend of the season, Tottenham ran out 1-0 winners.
What time does Man City vs Spurs kick off?

Manchester City take on Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, February 19.
The match kicks off at 5:30pm UK time.
It takes place at the Etihad Stadium

What TV channel is Man City vs Spurs on and can I live stream it?

Manchester City vs Tottenham Hotspur is live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League.
The coverage begins at 5pm – 30 minutes before kick-off.
To stream the match live, head to Now TV or the Sky Sports app.

    Team news
Jack Grealish should be in contention to feature following a shin problem which kept the English star out of City’s 5-0 romp over Sporting Lisbon.
And Gabriel Jesus has missed the last four matches with a muscular injury he picked up on international duty but the Brazilian could make a return to first team action.
Oliver Skipp has reportedly suffered a set-back on his thigh issue which has kept the Spurs midfielder out for the last couple of weeks.
But Antonio Conte will be relieved to have Eric Dier back in the fold as Spurs’ downward spiral began shortly after the Englishman was side-lined.

    City odds on for revenge
Tottenham may have won three of the last four Premier League meetings with Manchester City, but the bookmakers don’t give them much chance of claiming another three points this evening.

    Man City win 1/4
    Draw 9/2
    Spurs win 10/1

Odds from Betfair correct at the time of publication.
    Good afternoon from the Etihad
Welcome to SunSport’s live coverage of the Saturday teatime tussle between Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
It’s six months since these sides met on the opening day of the season, but so much has happened since.
Spurs got off to a winning start that afternoon thanks to Son Heung-min’s solitary strike, the first of three straight victories to announce the reign of Nuno Espirito Santo to the club.
Yet the dream beginning soon became a nightmare as the north Londoners stuttered, stopped scoring, and then sacked their manager.
The coup of Antonio Conte was supposed to set the Spurs ship back on course but, after a short cruise in the sunshine, they are sinking again.
They were booed off at half-time and full time in the home defeat by Wolves last weekend, and further disappointment today would likely mean a fourth loss in a row for the first time in 18 years.
In stark contract, City have been close to unstoppable from the moment Tottenham took three points off them in August.
Pep Guardiola’s superstars have won 19 of their last 21 matches in all competitions with the defence of their Premier League title becoming a procession.
The were sensational in midweek as they thumped Sporting Lisbon for five in the Champions League, and are again competing for silverware on multiple fronts.
The hosts will be without £100m man Jack Grealish for today’s contest, but can call upon the in-form Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden for firepower.
Another England international, Eric Dier, is available for the visitors, but they will be without Oliver Skipp, Japhet Tanganga and an unnamed player due to Covid-19.
The action is scheduled for a 5.30pm start in Manchester, and we’ll bring you confirmation of the two teams shortly as we build up to kick-off.

Second half – Arsenal 0-0 Brentford
And we are back at the Emirates for the second 45.
Brief summary of the first 45
There wasn’t much to shout about within the opening half of the game in all honesty.
Arsenal completely dominated from the first whistle putting a numerous amount of pressure on the Bees defence without really causing a major threat in front of goal.
Alexandre Lacazette did have his effort ruled out due to offside and the Gunners had a couple of penalty appeals but Jonathan Moss wasn’t interested.
Hopefully we get a more entertaining second 45 where Brentford put up more of a fight.
    Opening half based on numbers
The Gunners have dominated every statistic on the board by a landslide and the Bees haven’t got anywhere near them.
But the one which stands out the most is the amount of crosses they have put in.
    A staggering 32 crosses!
I think the players have forgotten that Olivier Giroud doesn’t represent them anymore.

Half time – Arsenal 0-0 Brentford
Not the blockbuster performance we expected at the Emirates so far from either side.
If anything, it has been a tale full of corners and crosses instead.
    Arsenal 0-0 Brentford
45+2. There’s been no way through for Arsenal this half because the Bees have stood firm.
Mikel Arteta is going to have to do something in the second half otherwise this will be an opportunity missed for his side.
Four minutes of stoppage time has been added!
    Arsenal 0-0 Brentford
    43. Jensen is back on his feet and has trudged to the side-lines to receive further treatment which means the Bees are down to ten men at the moment.
    Arsenal 0-0 Brentford
    42. Mathias Jensen is down and in need of some treatment following a shot from Bukayo Saka that awkwardly hit him in the torso.
It’s not looking too good for the Bees midfielder.
    Arsenal 0-0 Brentford
    40. For all of Arsenal’s pressure, they are yet to really test the hands of David Raya which they’ll be disappointed with.
But there is still five minutes plus stoppage time left to change the half time team talk.
Arsenal 0-0 Brentford – Another penalty appeal!
    36. Cedric lashed a shot which seemed to have hit the arm of Yoane Wissa who came sliding in from a mile off but Jonathan Moss waved play on.
The Arsenal side are furious and so is Mikel Arteta because that could have been a penalty.
    Arsenal 0-0 Brentford
    33. Business open as usual because Thomas Frank’s men head it clear without any troubles.
Arsenal really need to start doing something with these corners otherwise it could cause them some serious regret.
    Arsenal 0-0 Brentford
    31. Yet another corner has been won by the Gunners.
It really is turning into an attack vs defence training session.
    Arsenal 0-0 Brentford
    28. Cedric swung in a decent ball on this occasion instead of Bukayo Saka.
However, Kristoffer Ajer dealt with it comfortably so it’s back to the drawing board for Arsenal.
    Arsenal 0-0 Brentford
    26. Brentford seemed to have weathered the constant storm by the Gunners but they have given away another corner.
This is Arsenal’s 5th corner of the game already.
Arsenal 0-0 Brentford – Lacazette that was dreadful!
    23. Granit Xhaka did well to intercept Christian Noorgard’s pass before finding Alex Lacazette in acres of space.
And instead of the Frenchman picking out Emile Smith-Rowe’s run, he opted to shoot and the effort went well wide of the mark.
Arsenal 0-0 Brentford – unlucky Partey!
    20. Normally when Thomas Partey ventures forward and has a shot, it tends to hit the pigeons on the roof.
However, the Ghanaian international managed to keep his shot down making David Raya in the Brentford goal nervous.
But the effort trickled just wide of the mark.
    Arsenal 0-0 Brentford
    18. That’s better from the Bees.
Bryan Mbuemo skipped past Kieran Tierney before driving down the right wing and digging out a cross.
But unfortunately, none of his teammates were on the same page as him which meant Arsenal were able to easily cut it out.
    Arsenal 0-0 Brentford
    16. The disallowed goal hasn’t thrown the North London club off their game as they continue to dominate the game.
Thomas Frank needs to react and fast.
    Arsenal 0-0 Brentford
    13. It was brilliant patterns of play between Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Alex Lacazette.
However the Frenchman just strayed offside and the correct decision was given.
Brentford have used a life line.
Jonathan Ross has ruled it out for offside!
    The Emirates is not happy.
    Wait VAR are checking…
Goal! – Lacazette grabs the opener!
Arsenal 0-0 Brentford – Was that a penalty?!
    9. The Arsenal players were screaming at the referee to check an incident with Lacazette and Kristoffer Ajaer.
    But the referee wasn’t interested.
    Credit: PA
    Arsenal 0-0 Brentford
    6. As expected, the Gunners are controlling all the possession at the moment not allowing Brentford to get out of their half.
Mikel Arteta will be pleased with how his men have started this afternoon in comparison to the reverse fixture when they were run ragged.
    Arsenal 0-0 Brentford
    4. The Englishman put in a brilliant cross but skipper Pontus Jansson was able to get it clear.

    Chelsea’s Barkley faces driving ban
Premier League football ace Ross Barkley faces a driving ban after being caught on his phone behind the wheel.
The Chelsea midfielder, who has previous road convictions, is understood to have hired a driver for the next 12 months.
Barkley, 28, was spotted using his mobile phone at the wheel of his £150,000 Mercedes-AMG in Wandsworth, South West London, last July.
The Scouser, who has played for England 33 times, scoring six goals, pleaded guilty to a charge of using a handheld mobile phone while driving a vehicle.
The £84,000-a-week star will appear at Bromley magistrates’ court in South East London next month after totting up enough points to face a ban.
Deeney on Kane vs Man City
When players have a point to prove and feel they have been slighted, they always seem to get that extra spring in their step, writes Troy Deeney for SunSport.
Tottenham’s Harry Kane will be no different when he faces Manchester City — the club he almost joined last summer.
You may think that Harry will be going to the Etihad with feelings of what-ifs and envy, but it will be the opposite.
He will be thinking, ‘Hold on, you passed up on me — let me show you exactly what you passed up on’.
You see it all the time, with players meeting their old clubs, famously when Emmanuel Adebayor played for City against Arsenal, scoring THAT goal and doing THAT celebration.
Will there be a part of Harry thinking he would love to play in this team as he would get loads of chances and score loads of goals? Of course.
    Ronaldo linked with PSG move
PSG are considering a move for Cristiano Ronaldo at the end of the season, according to reports.
The Portuguese is unhappy with Manchester United’s form this season and SunSport revealed earlier this week that he could look to leave if they fail to finish in the top four.
Roma and Bayern Munich hold an interest in the 37-year-old forward.
But given their wealth, PSG may be the most likely destination.
According to the Mirror, the French giants are considering offering a 12-month contract to the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
This would see him link up with seven-time winner Lionel Messi, 34, at the Parc des Princes.
Lampard a tactical genius – Gordon
Frank Lampard is a ‘tactical genius’, claims Everton starlet Anthony Gordon.
He said: “I feel the trust he has got in me. He tells me daily. He is an unbelievable manager and he has surprised me, really, with how good he is tactically.
“There is a thing that tactics come from foreign managers and them being geniuses but we need to start giving recognition to the young English managers, such as the gaffer.
“He is a tactical genius and I am thriving off that. I’m learning from him every day, stuff I hadn’t heard before.
“It was those little details, for us to be faster and more aggressive. He wanted to push us higher up the pitch and while it might not seem a lot, those little details go a really long way in a game like this.
“It’s knowing how to get the little details right and what they are doing for the team. It showed in the performance with the result.”
    Maguire to remain United captain
    Speaking of Harry Maguire…
Ralf Rangnick has confirmed that Harry Maguire will remain as Manchester United captain despite rumours in the press that the armband was set to be handed to Cristiano Ronaldo.
Several United players have spoken out against stories of a split in the dressing room, and the interim boss echoed their views by labelling the reports as ‘absolute nonsense.’
Speaking at his press conference this afternoon, Rangnick said: “I have never spoken with any player about a change of captaincy. This has never been an issue. It is me who decides who is the captain.
“Harry is our captain and he will stay captain.”
    Maguire meets inspirational footy fan
Manchester United captain Harry Maguire enjoyed a kickabout with ‘legend’ River Rhodes this week.
The inspirational young footy fan is battling cancer. And he is currently in Manchester to receive radiotherapy treatment.
River comes from a Midlands family of Wolves supporters.
But being in Manchester has seen him link up with some of the city’s top footballers.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Jack Grealish are just two who have met River and sent him heart-warming messages.
And it was Man Utd skipper Maguire this week who met up with the brave lad for a kickabout and talk over the latest football news.

    Rangnick on hostile Leeds atmosphere
Man Utd travel to Leeds this weekend.
When asked about how hostile Elland Road will be, Man Utd boss Ralf Rangnick said: “Well, to be honest, I didn’t know that until a week ago, but most of my colleagues have already indicated that this is probably one of the biggest rivalries in the Premier League.
“Of course, I also had quite a few of those, we call them local derbies in Germany, with Schalke v Borussia Dortmund just to give you one example, and quite a few others.
“I think our team and our players have so much experience playing against teams like that in this atmosphere that it can also and will, hopefully, rise our performance and our level of performance to play in this environment.
“Last season, I think they played Leeds behind closed doors because of COVID restrictions and as far as I know, it’s the first game in a full stadium since they last played in the Premier League.
“I don’t know, this is probably 15-20 years ago. But, yes, it’s great. I think everybody prefers to play in a sold-out stadium rather than in an empty stadium and, therefore, yeah, it’s good. We are very much looking forward to that game.”
Guardiola praise pilot after stormy flight
Shaken Pep Guardiola says Manchester City’s storm-hit flight home was even ‘scarier’ when he watched it on video.
The Etihad chief praised the ‘incredible’ pilot who diverted mid-air to get City back from Sporting Lisbon.
Guardiola’s squad arrived at Liverpool instead of Manchester airport due to Storm Dudley’s high winds after Tuesday’s 5-0 Champions League win.
The Spaniard said: “When I saw the video, it was scarier than we felt (on the plane).
“It was bumpy. We were going down and then immediately the engine started to roll on and we went up. We had an incredible pilot who talked to us, who was so calm.
“The pilot was magnificent. We felt a bit anxious. But thanks to him everyone was calm.”
    Storm Eunice causing mayhem
Storm Eunice is wreaking havoc in the Premier League.
It has forced Newcastle to travel to London for tomorrow’s lunchtime kick-off against West Ham by coach after their flight was cancelled.
The Magpies were hoping to travel by plane today but Howe said this morning that contingency plans were in place.
And after their flight was aborted, the Magpies set off this afternoon on the 280-mile trek to east London by bus.
In far from ideal preparation, Newcastle’s players face around seven hours on the roads before their 12:30pm start at the London stadium tomorrow.
Speaking earlier, Howe said: “The only disruption we’ve had this week is our training ground has been disrupted by heavy winds.
“Our training ground is exposed to heavy winds anyway so it has been slightly difficult this week. But nothing else has affected us so we are all good.”
Chelsea may choose Gallagher over Rice
Chelsea could reportedly opt against a move for West Ham’s Declan Rice and instead promote Conor Gallagher to their senior squad.
Blues boss Thomas Tuchel is set to be heavily backed during the summer as owner Roman Abramovich looks to get the club challenging Manchester City for the title.
Chelsea have been linked with England star Rice for several months.
However, the Evening Standard claims that Gallagher’s form on loan at Crystal Palace has potentially convinced Tuchel to change his plans.
    Newcastle take coach to London
Storm Eunice has forced Newcastle to travel to London for tomorrow’s lunchtime kick-off against West Ham by coach after their flight was cancelled, writes SunSport reporter Oscar Paul.
The Magpies were hoping to travel by plane today but Howe said this morning that contingency plans were in place.
And after their flight was aborted, the Magpies set off this afternoon on the 280-mile trek to east London by bus.
In far from ideal preparation, Toon’s players face around seven hours on the roads before their 12:30pm start at the London stadium tomorrow.
Speaking earlier, Howe said: “The only disruption we’ve had this week is our training ground has been disrupted by heavy winds.
“Our training ground is exposed to heavy winds anyway so it has been slightly difficult this week.
“But nothing else has affected us so we are all good.”
    Don’t blame the refs
Mikel Arteta has told his Arsenal stars not to blame referees over their shocking disciplinary record.
He said: “I don’t want to think like that [when asked whether they were the result of poor officiating].
“There have been various reasons, very different ones the way we picked up those red cards but somehow we have to stop it because it’s going to affect your performance and results for sure and that has to be our aim and our focus.
“Don’t try to blame the refs. We have to believe the refs are going to do what they have to do and we have to do what we have to do and that’s it.”
    Bournemouth vs Nottingham Forest postponed
Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest’s postponed match is expected to take place in a few weeks.
Tonight’s Championship game between the two teams at Dean Court has been postponed for safety reasons, according to the hosts.
The Cherries claim Storm Eunice has caused damage at the Vitality Stadium and inspection from structural engineers deemed this would cause significant risk to supporters.
SunSport understand the game will be rearranged in a few weeks, but no official date is yet known.
    Mbappe next club odds
Real Madrid are the odds-on favourites to sign Kylian Mbappe in the summer.

    Real Madrid 1/6
Not to sign or agree a contract with any other club 10/3
    Liverpool 12/1

    Barcelona 50/1
    Man Utd 50/1
    Bayern Munich 50/1

Conte odds to leave Spurs slashed
Antonio Conte’s odds of leaving Tottenham are at a record low.
That’s according to bookmakers Ladbrokes, who make the Italian just 5/4 to leave North London before the beginning of the 2022-23 campaign — the lowest they’ve been since his arrival.
Conte only signed an 18 month contract when he agreed to replace Nuno Espirito Santo in November.
The 52-year-old oversaw a nine-game unbeaten run in the Premier League.
But they’ve now dropped to eighth after three consecutive league defeats to Chelsea, Southampton and Wolves.
The results leave them seven points off the Champions League spots with trouble is brewing in the capital.
    Arsenal vs Liverpool date set
Arsenal’s postponed clash with Liverpool will now take place in mid-March as the Premier League confirmed its revised fixture list.
The Gunners’ blockbuster encounter with the high-flying Reds had been due to take place on Saturday 26th February.
But the match has now been pushed back to Wednesday 16th March after Liverpool made it through to the final of the Carabao Cup.
They are now set to face Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday 27th February, with their trip to the Emirates pushed back 17 days.
That game will be shown live on Sky Sports with an unusual kick-off time of 8.15pm.
    Possible Chelsea return for Abraham?
Former Chelsea defender Glen Johnson has given his opinion on the Blues exercising their buy back option for Tammy Abraham in the future.
The Englishman joined Roma last summer and has hit the ground running in Italy.
And Johnson said: “I wouldn’t be totally shocked if Tuchel or Chelsea eventually went on to re-sign Tammy Abraham.
“He’s doing well away at Roma and I know that Chelsea has a place in his heart.
“He’s of course English as well. But I think as long as he’s performing at the right level – and keeps on performing – and Chelsea have proven in the past they’re not too embarrassed to buy back a player that they’ve previously let go, I could see that happening.”
Arsenal clash too early for Eriksen
Thomas Frank says today’s trip to Arsenal is “one step too early” for Christian Eriksen as he edges closer to an epic comeback.
Frank said: “Christian looked good in the 60 minutes he played in the friendly last week, and in training.
“He’s been out for seven months. Normally you need a proper pre-season to get going. He came to us with a good foundation and so he doesn’t need those six weeks.
“But this game is just one step too early. We have another good opponent for a friendly on Monday, so that’ll be really beneficial for him.
“We are aiming for the Newcastle game, that’s the aim but everything from the Manchester City and Crystal Palace games have been open.”
    Rangnick on Maguire/Ronaldo rift rumours
Ralf Rangnick has responded to reports that there is friction between Manchester United captain Harry Maguire and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Speaking in his press conference, the Red Devils boss said: “I’m not frustrated at all because I know this is not the truth.
“I told you already about Harry being the captain.
“This is not an issue at all and it has never been an issue for us and for myself as the manager.
“All the other things, to be honest, I don’t listen to that noise because my job is to focus on preparing for the next game.”
Madrid submit final offer for Haaland
Real Madrid have submitted a ‘final offer’ for Borussia Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland, reports say.
The Spanish giants are leading the chase for Haaland, 21, despite Premier League clubs also fighting for the Norwegian international’s signature.
And Spanish outlet Sport say the striker’s representatives have been in talks with Madrid after they tabled a formal offer.
The goalscoring machine is managed by super-agent Mino Raiola and it is said that a meeting in Monaco took place on Friday to discuss the bid.
And it could be the end of the road for Man Utd, Chelsea and Man City, with an agreement reportedly now in place that will ‘block other negotiations’.
    Trippier remains key, says Howe
Eddie Howe expects crocked but ‘inspirational’ Kieran Trippier to still play a big role in Newcastle’s survival hopes.
The £12million January signing went under the knife on Thursday after breaking his foot during last Sunday’s 1-0 win against Aston Villa.
Howe hopes the right-back, 31, will play again this season. And while he admits they will miss his leadership, the Magpies boss said: “He’s got a big part to play.
“The players have found him an inspirational figure but that won’t change – he will be around them and supporting them from the training ground.
“It’s the first thing we discussed, and that’s the type of person he is. He wants to make a difference and wants to lead. I knew Kieran when he was younger (at Burnley), and he has changed and developed many facets of his game and personality.
“We hope to have him back before the end of the season but it is a significant injury. It’s a big blow but no one player makes the team. I’m confident we have enough quality to cover.”
    Ronaldo tops fake Insta followers
Cristiano Ronaldo is estimated to earn a staggering £388,000 per sponsored post from fake Instagram followers.
The Portuguese superstar, through no fault of his own, is believed to have 92 million fake accounts among his record 400 million followers.
This is due to the rise of bot accounts on social media.
For every sponsored post that Ronaldo – the most popular person on the photo-sharing app – uploads to Instagram, data complied by livefootballtickets.com suggests that he earns a staggering £1.69million.
But if 92 million of his followers are fake, that would mean that £388,000-per-post is earned due to bot accounts.

    Focused Gerrard demands Villa reaction
Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard is expecting a vast improvement from his players this weekend when they host Watford.
The Villa boss was furious with his side’s display in the defeat at Newcastle last week, 90 minutes that he described as being by far the worst since he arrived at the club.
Speaking this afternoon, Gerrard said: “The most important thing is that we need to see a change in the level of performance. The players are honest enough with themselves and we know we need to raise that.
“There’s been enough time to reflect but also to reset a few things individually and collectively, and I’m hoping to see that reaction tomorrow.
“We knew collectively that we had let our supporters down [at Newcastle] so tomorrow is all about a reaction.’
Pep: I am not the best
Pep Guardiola has laughed off the suggestion that he is the best coach in the world.
Responding to Antonio Conte’s claim that Guardiola is the top manager in the game, the Man City boss was quick to respond: “I am not. I am not. I appreciate it, but I am not.”
Guardiola’s City face Conte’s Tottenham tomorrow evening, and the Spaniard returned the compliment by expressing his admiration for the Spurs gaffer, insisting that the London club should back the Italian for the long term.
“He showed it at Juventus. Managers need time and investment to be here for a long time, especially in this country. If the club rely on him 100%, they will have success.”

    Mount targeting cup final return
Thomas Tuchel hopes to have Mason Mount fit again for Chelsea’s League Cup final with Liverpool next weekend.
Speaking ahead of tomorrow’s Premier League trip to Crystal Palace, the Blues boss admitted his midfielder was in a race against time, but promised that the club will do all they can to get the England international ready for the Wembley showpiece.
The German coach said: “[Mason Mount] has injured ligaments. The Champions League [game with Lille on Tuesday] seems very, very close, but we will try hard for the League Cup final.”
