    Done it for his brother
Alex Wassabi revealed his prize money for defeating YouTuber Deji will go towards his brother’s education.
“Everything that didn’t go to my training camp is going to my little brother,” Wassabi said after the bout.
“He means the world to me.
“It’s all going towards his college fund – everything I do is partially for him.”
    Did Wassabi cheat?
Fans are calling Alex Wassabi a cheat after defeating Deji in their grudge boxing match.
One fan took to Twitter and wrote: “Deji got tobbed, Wassabi used his elbows.”
While another mulled: “Don’t know how to feel about the fight. Deji had some good shots but Wassabi was more offensive with an elbow?”
And a third fan even called for a rematch, saying: “I accept Deji lost right, but if you watch carefully Wassabi uses elbows and headlocked Deji for a second. it wasn’t fair and I think it needs a rematch.”
    Judges scorecard
The bout between Alex Wassabi and Deji went the distance.
So, it was up to the judges to score the right.
In the end, they went 50-46, 49-47 and 48-47 for Wassabi, in what was a convincing win in the end.
Will we get a rematch soon?
    Ring invader
The strangest thing to happen during the Deji vs Alex Wassabi fight perhaps came when someone jumped into the ring DURING their fight.
As the action was unfolding in the second round, a random spectator, calling himself a TikToker by the name of Golden Boy, jumped the rop and halted proceedings.
The 21-year-old is an aspiring boxing content creator who makes motivational and fitness clips.

    Joshua enjoyed the spectacle
KSI wasn’t the only celebrity in tow in Wembley to watch YouTubers Alex Wassabi and Deji get it on in the ring.
Heavyweight boxing superstar Anthony Joshua was also ringside checking out all the action.
And he was there cheering on Deji, although wouldn’t have been happy with the result.
    Wassabi was the victor.
    Deji vs Wassabi II
Alex Wassabi is desperate for a rematch with fellow YouTuber Deji, after defeating his foe.
Speaking after the fight, Wassabi spoke of the home support for Deji as well as his thoughts on going again.
“These people love their people and they showed it; I didn’t hear my name once,” Wassabi said.
“Deji, I just wanted to compete and if it wasn’t for you that dream wouldn’t have come true.
“I want to get back in… I don’t know when the next YouTube event is.”
    AnEsonGib calls out Wassabi
British YouTuber turned boxer AnEsonGib fancies a tussle with Alex Wassabi.
Last night, he tweeted: “Let me wig wassabi”.
Wassabi has since retorted, “let’s get it. come down to 175 big gibby.”
Will these two be the next big YouTubers doing battle?
Deji’s brother KSI ready for return
YouTube star KSI is aiming to make a boxing return ‘later this year’ or in early 2023 – his first fight since rematching Logan Paul – following supporting his brother Deji’s bout against Alex Wassabi.
The British celebrity, also a chart-topping rapper, drew in a boxing exhibition with Paul, 26, in 2018.
he pair then controversially turned professional a year later for a rematch which KSI, 28 and also known as JJ, won by split-decision.
The rivals have now turned business partners by launching a drink together, the latest venture in KSI’s hectic schedule.
That busy schedule is largely to blame for the former gamer’s absence in the ring, but according to one of his coaches Leon Wills, a comeback is being eyed.
Wills told GiveMeSport: “JJ’s told me that he’s looking to fight either later this year or early next year. That’s what he said.
“But, it’s just time. He’s a top boy in whatever he does; in music, he’s a top artist, in YouTube, he’s a top YouTuber.
“Now he’s got a drink company with Logan, it’s hard to find the time.
“So, if he can put that all aside and train boxing and focus on boxing, then 100 per cent.”
    Wassabi wants KSI fight
He disposed of Deji, now Alex Wassabi is eyeing up a fight with his brother KSI.
Wassabi was asked by YouTube host Fred Talks Fighting if he’d fight the YouTuber/Rapper.
“He’s the same size as you,” Wassabi replied to the presenter.
    “Let’s go, he’s a dog and I’m a beast.
“Wouldn’t that be a crazy fight?”
    Wassabi’s shock over Deji win
Wassabi has shared his disbelief over his win against Deji.
When asked by Fred Talks Fighting on YouTube his thoughts on the fight afterward, Wassabi expressed his shock.
While standing in his fight gear in his changing room, Wassabi said: “I can’t believe it, I won!
“I believed in myself but anything can happen.
“And once it happens, then you can believe it!”
    Wassabi’s ‘cheat’ claims
Boxing fans have accused Wassabi of elbowing his way to victory over Deji.
One fan claimed: “Deji got tobbed, Wassabi used his elbows.”
    Wassabi’s open to fighting KSI
Wassabi has revealed that he’s open to fighting Deji’s brother KSI next time round.
When asked by YouTube host Fred Talks Fighting if he’s down to take on KSI, Wassabi responded: “He’s the same weight.
    “He’s a dog, I’m a beast, let’s go.
“That would be a crazy fight.”
    The show goes on
Deji won’t be slowing down for now it seems.
Despite his loss to Wassabi last night, Dejain remains upbeat about his future in the ring.
On Instagram, he declared that his journey will only end when he makes the decision to call it day.

    Deji’s future plans revealed
Deji has put off his decision to retire after his loss to Wassabi.
Before the fight, Deji had vowed to hang up his gloves after two prior defeats.
But after the Wassabi bout, he said to the crowd if he should reconsider his decision to hang up his gloves.
And after they roared their encouragement, he said: “If you guys want me to fight again, I’ll show you what I can do.”
    Rematch on the cards
Wassabi revealed that he’s open to a rematch with Deji.
After their bout, he said to Deji: “These people love their people and they showed it; I didn’t hear my name once.
“Deji, I just wanted to compete and if it wasn’t for you that dream wouldn’t have come true.
“I want to get back in… I don’t know when the next YouTube event is.”
YouTuber headbutts rival on Deji undercard
Deji’s fight with Wassabi was filled with controversial moments.
Along with a fan invading the pair’s fight, there was also a moment of madness on the undercard bout of the YouTuber’s battle.
British YouTuber Ryan Taylor and American Instagram personality ‘DK Money’ also clashed on the night – but their fight was over barely before it started.
A raging Taylor furiously grappled with his opponent before unleashing a brutal headbutt.
DK Money was left floored and the bout instantly called off.
    Armz Korleone hails Deji
Social media star and fellow fighter Armz Korleone has hailed Deji after his loss to Wassabi.
Korleone praised Deji for getting in the ring when many others wouldn’t.
He also told KSI’s brother that winning and losing are just man-made labels in a post on Instagram.

    Wassabi’s pledge to little brother
Alex Wassabi has pledged to donate his fight funds to put his little brother in college.
Wassabi emerged as the winner in his fight against Deji, but he has no plans to splash the cash on himself.
He told the Mirror before the fight: “Everything that didn’t go to my training camp is going to my little brother.
“He means the world to me.
“It’s all going towards his college fund – everything I do is partially for him.”
    Wassabi celebrates win
Alex Wassabi celebrated his win over Deji by reflecting on how far he’s come in his career.
The YouTuber’s pal put up a picture of them both clowning around in what is thought to be at the start of his career.
And Wassabi wrote on the pic: “We’ve come a long way.”

    KSI’s reaction to Deji’s loss
KSI was pictured looking devastated after witnessing his brother Deji’s loss to Wassabi.
He was spotted with a startled expression when Wassabi was handed victory on split decision against Deji.

    Deji’s message to fans
Deji has thanked fans for their support after his loss to Wassabi.
And he also vowed to be back better next time in a message on Twitter.
Thank you guys for supporting me and I’m sorry, but nothing will keep me down— Deji (@Deji) March 5, 2022

    KSI consoles Deji
KSI was spotted giving Deji a motivating speech in the ring after his loss to Wassabi.
It was unclear what KSI was saying to his brother as a fan who recorded their convo edited the clip with music on Instagram.
But it was apparent that KSI was delivering some passionate advice to his dejected sibling.

    Brotherly love
KSI was on hand to offer his brother Deji some support before his loss to Wassabi.
Unlike his brother, KSI has got an unbeaten record in the ring after winning his first fight.
But it’s back to the drawing board for Deji who’s now lost three on the trot.

    Anthony Joshua watches spectacle
Heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua was in attendance to watch Deji fight Wassabi.
Joshua found the time to attend the event at the SSE Arena, Wembley in London after his fight with Oleksandr Usyk looks set to be push back as the Ukrainian has rushed back to his homeland to defend it from Russia’s invasion.
But Joshua seemed to be in a relaxed mood as he smiled amongst fans in the crowd.

    Harsh treatment for ring invader
The fan who invaded Deji’s fight against Wassabi was left nursing a sore head after his rash dash into the ring.
His fame was short-lived as security chased him into the corner before roughly ejecting him from the proceedings.
But not before one guard hit him over the head with a BAR STOOL.

Man City 4 Man Utd 1 LIVE RESULT: Riyad Mahrez adds fourth after De Bruyne double for superb City – latest updates

MANCHESTER CITY have routed their cross-town rivals United after two goals each for Kevin de Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez.De Bruyne hit two either side of half time, but the home side have attacked their rivals relentlessly.
Jadon Sancho had equalised for Manchester United at the home of fierce rivals City, who the winger used to play for.
But City have looked the bigger threat, with wave after wave of attacks laying siege to David De Gea’s goal.
United are WITHOUT Cristiano Ronaldo as they look to grab a crucial three points at the home of Premier League leaders Manchester City.
City are just three points clear of Liverpool at the top of the league and need a big win against their enemies this afternoon.
SunSport revealed that CR7 failed to show up at the Lowry Hotel for team prep on Saturday and his absence has left United’s senior players stunned.

    Good day at the office
The Man City manager answered questions from the media after the game, assuring us that De Bruyne’s substitution was nothing to do with injury.
I told the players that today if you give a little bit, the fans will give it their all.Pep Guardiola
    Walking tour of Manchester
The effort by the Man Utd players in the second half seemed like they just weren’t interested at all.
After the third goal went in, they seemed to down tools and stop trying all together.
Many more performances like that could cause Sky Sports huge medical bills in calming down Roy Keane in the post-match punditry.
The million dollar question however remains, does anyone know how to fix the problems at Man Utd?
    The stats don’t lie
    A picture paints a thousand words…..

    Long road ahead
A lot of managers have taken over this Man Utd team since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson and failed.
You have to wonder what is going wrong there for no manager being able to change their fortunes.
There is no quick fix for their issues, a long period of transition beckons to try and get back to where they want to be.
    Leading by example
Interviewed after the game, a very grounded Kevin De Bruyne tells the media how they are just trying to focus game by game and not looking at what other teams are doing so much.
The cliché terms come out in abundance in these situations but in all fairness to the players, the questions are recycled just as much.
A lot of tests between now and the end of the season but City’s fate, in the Premier League, is in their own hands.
    Goals, goals, goals
Considering they do not play with a recognised striker, that takes Man City to 68 goals in the Premier League this season.
They do not rely on one focal point for their attack like some of their rivals and as a result goals appear to come from all over the pitch.
Showing the gulf between them and their neighbours today.
FT: Man City 4-1 Man Utd
This defeat will hurt Ralf Rangnick’s team.
In their pursuit of Champions League football it could be crucial.
They may need to win it to be in it next season.

FT: Man City 4-1 Man Utd
The referee blows the whistle and this derby mauling is over for United.
City stretch their lead over Liverpool to six points again.
    Manchester is blue tonight.
    Man City 4-1 Man Utd
90+2. Well VAR took an age to make that decision.
The score probably reflects the game more now.
Kevin De Bruyne is awarded the man of the match award quite rightly.

Goal – Riyad Mahrez (Man City)
    Man City 3-1 Man Utd
    90. There will be two additional minutes.
De Gea hurts himself and collapses taking the goal kick.
City win the ball back and Mahrez is slotted in, the Algerian playmaker smashing it passed De Gea.
    VAR is checking this one.
Man City 3-1 Man Utd – Gundogan chance!
    89. They are queueing up to score now.
Grealish picks the ball up after Mahrez fluffs a chance to make it four.
He cuts the ball back to Gundogan at the back post who also mis-hits the shot wide of the goal.
    Man City 3-1 Man Utd
    87. Man City have had 92% possession since their third goal went in.
That is staggering considering there is only four places between these teams in the league table.
Men against boys since that Mahrez goal, United players just walking around the pitch.
    Man City 3-1 Man Utd
    85. City are still pressing in the final third of United’s half.
The Man City fans have stopped watching the game as they all do the Poznan.
    United crave the final whistle.

    Man City 3-1 Man Utd
    83. Now the ultimate insult.
The constant ole’s from the crowd every time City touch the ball.
This is salt in the wound now for United, chasing shadows.
Man City 3-1 Man Utd – Cancelo chance!
    81. The ball is drifted over to the back post from the byline on the right.
It is quite high in the air and Cancelo takes it on the volley in an overhead kick.
De Gea dives full-stretch to his left to save.
Man City 3-1 Man Utd – Man City subs
    79. De Bruyne is replaced by Ilkay Gundogan.
Amazing ovation from the home crowd as their captain trudges off the pitch.
He has put in a good shift today.
    Man City 3-1 Man Utd
    77. The sad reality for United fans today is that the game shows they are still a way off their Manchester rivals.
At times they have created chances and caused City’s problems but the weak underbelly of their team is the defence.
It always looks like it can be carved open by a good attacking team.
    Man City 3-1 Man Utd
    75. There is probably enough time left in the game for a United comeback.
The big problem is that there doesn’t look like there is one in this Man Utd team.
This has been all City in the second half and one-way traffic.
Man City 3-1 Man Utd – Mahrez chance!
    73. Grealish runs with the ball at Man Utd again.
He feeds it to De Bruyne who in turns finds Mahrez.
Shooting with his less favoured right-foot, De Gea manages to save.

    Man City 3-1 Man Utd
    70. The gaps are opening for City now.
United do not seem as keen to close them down and press now.
City can just kill this game off through possession of the ball now as ‘Blue Moon’ rings out across the stadium.
    Man City 3-1 Man Utd
    68. What a goal!
Training ground stuff from Man City.
De Bruyne takes the corner and drifts one into the back post quite deep towards the edge of the box.
Mahrez runs onto it and hits it on the half-volley beating De Gea into the bottom corner.
Goal – Riyad Mahrez (Man City)
    Man City 2-1 Man Utd
    66. The game is all City in an attacking sense.
Hopeful balls forward are United’s only form of attack at times.
They need to get their foot on ball, dominate possession and look for runners.
Man City 2-1 Man Utd – Man Utd subs
    64. Elanga and Pogba leave the pitch.
Rashford and Lingard join the game.
They needed to do something to freshen things up, Pogba was just walking around the pitch in this second half.

Conor McGregor ‘exploring’ Chelsea takeover, Muhsin Bayrak talks CONFIRMED, Roman Abramovich rejects £2.5bn bid – latest

ROMAN ABRAMOVICH is conducting an auction for the sale of Chelsea after announcing he is parting company with the club. And Turkish billionaire Muhsin Bayrak says he is in talks to buy the club, adding: “The Turkish flag will fly over London!”

And Abramovich is said to have rejected a £2.5bn offer for the West Londoners.
And there are concerns that Wyss has little interest in football, only wants to buy the club to spite Abramovich and will not splash out on transfers the way the Russian has.

“They are ready to accept Ukrainian children to train in the academies of Premier League clubs.
“Now a series of negotiations will be held to formalise the documents. We need to get permission.
“We’ll try to get this done very quickly. I’m in touch with the football federation. Sports camps will open.
“Everything must be done so that children who leave the cities of Ukraine can train either on the territory of Western Ukraine, or it will already be on the territory of other countries.”
    Reporter questions Bayrak’s validity
Turkish billionaire Muhsin Bayrak’s credibility over his claims that he plans to buy Chelsea has come under scrutiny.
It’s been claimed no one in the Turkish FA or in the country’s footballing circles are even aware of Bayrak’s existence, according to a New York Times journalist.
Tariq Panja, a New York Times reporter told Sky Sports: “We saw that in the last few days, a Turkish businessman that none of us had heard of [made the headlines].
“I’ve contacted people in Turkey, in the football world there and people at Turkish FA, and they had not heard of this person.
“I’ve seen he has announced his intention of planting the Turkish flag in London on his own Instagram page.
“I don’t think serious people behave like that. But again, we live in a strange and interesting time.”
    Shelvey’s apology to Toon fans
Newcastle midfielder Jonjo Shelvey has bizarrely apologised for his performance in their 2-1 victory over Brighton.
But speaking on social media, he said: “We weren’t at our best yesterday but sometimes you have to grind out results – credit to Brighton.
“I apologise for my own performance: I’ve actually watched the game back twice but I dug deep and am proud of my team for doing the same.
“I honestly thought the fans were absolutely fantastic and it excites me what this place is going to be like in three or four years time and to keep seeing the results you’ve had in the past eight games but on a bigger scale.
    “The sky’s the limit.”
    Ronaldo’s centre-forward view
Cristiano Ronaldo finds playing as a centre-forward ‘absurd’, according to his former Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri.
The Manchester United superstar is one of the greatest goalscorers in history – netting more than 800 times for club and country.
Sarri, who coached the Portuguese star for the 2019/20 campaign, insists Ronaldo was not on board with becoming a central forward player.
Speaking to Sky Italia, the former Chelsea head coach said: “Ronaldo scored 35-40 goals per season by starting from that wider position, so for him it was an almost absurd request.
“That is understandable for the way he plays.”
    Two potential Chelsea buyers
Two more candidates have reportedly emerged as potential buyers of Chelsea.
Property billionaire Nick Candy and Thomas Ricketts, owner of Major League Baseball team Chicago Cubs, are both reportedly exploring the option of tabling a bid.
And one of the two latest figures to emerge as a credible buyer is property businessman Candy, according to Sky.
Another expression of interest has come from across the pond in the form of Chicago Cubs owner Ricketts.
    Raab slams Chelsea fans
Deputy PM Dominic Raab has slammed Chelsea fans for drowning out support for Ukraine by praising Roman Abramovich in their game against Burnley.
Blues boss Thomas Tuchel also expressed his disappointment over the club’s fans’ actions.
When asked about the incident, Raab told BBC’s Sunday Morning: “I’m a Chelsea fan and I think it’s totally wrong.
“It would be a minority of fans doing it, and I thought Thomas Tuchel, the manager, was quite right to come out and be clear about his disagreement with that.”
    Next United manager’s war chest
The next Manchester United manager will be handed just £50million to spend if the club fail to qualify for the Champions League.
This is because, according to The Telegraph, the summer transfer kitty will be reduced from £80m to £50m if they fail to secure entry to Europe’s premier competition.
United spent £120m ahead of the 2021/22 season as they brought in Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho.
Yet despite that investment, qualification for next season’s Champions League remains up in the air.
    Silva names dog after Stones
Bernardo Silva has named his dog ‘John’ in honour of Manchester City teammate John Stones.
Silva bought the dog with his partner, model Ines Degener Tomaz.
In an instagram video, the 27-year-old said: “This is John. We really wanted to have a dog.
“He was named after my good friend John Stones because we’re very close and I’ve always said to him if I ever get a dog I would call him John.
“It’s actually a great name, we love it.
“It suits him, he is a beautiful boy and very intelligent.”

    Rangnick on Erik Ten Hag
Ralf Rangnick has dismissed claims that Man United have decided to make Erik Ten Hag their new boss.
Rangnick told Sky Sports when asked about the Ajax manager’s links to United: “I don’t know him, to start with, as a person.
“Obviously, I see the development at Ajax since he’s been there, I know a little bit about his work when he was with Bayern Munich and that he is one of the top coaches in Europe that’s obvious.
“But there are a few other top coaches.”
    Aubameyang takes swipe at Arsenal
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang took a swipe at former club Arsenal by revealing that he feels at home with Barcelona.
Aubameyang told Bein Sports France: “Things are going very well with Xavi.
“He is a legend and will contribute many things to the club.
“Barca deserves to be in front and I am very happy there because I am at home. I’m Spanish for my mother’s sake.”
    Neymar loses his cool
Neymar lost his temper after Nice striker Amine Gouiri attempted to use the Brazilian’s signature move against him on Saturday.
The Parisians suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to Nice at the weekend, marking their third loss of the season.
But, Neymar managed to get himself in trouble with the officials AFTER the final whistle.
Gouiri was keen to showboat after the referee ended the game and tried a rainbow flick.
However, the Brazilian took offence to this and reacted by pushing the striker.
Both the referee and the linesman had to intervene to prevent a potential fight from breaking out.

    Sarri wants Kepa reunion
A fresh report has claimed that Maurizio Sarri wants to reunite with Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga this summer.
The Spanish stopper was brought to Stamford Bridge by the Italian back in 2018 for £71.6million from Athletic Bilbao.
Now Sarri, who is in charge of Lazio back in his Italian homeland, wants to sign him on a season-long loan.
Speculation has been rife for several months that the Serie A side were plotting a move for the goalkeeper.
However, a deal failed to materialise during the January transfer window.
But Corriere dello Sport now claims that Sarri will attempt to get Kepa this summer on a season-long loan – despite the pair’s infamous Wembley fall-out.
    Newcastle in Diaby transfer hunt
Newcastle are lining up a £50million bid for Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby, according to reports.
According to The Mail, they have identified Leverkusen winger Diaby as someone they are keen to sign.
However, the Germans reportedly want a fee rivalling the £75m they received from Chelsea for Kai Havertz.
    Rubin shuts down Chelsea claims
American sports mogul Michael Rubin has shut down claims he plans to Chelsea from Roman Abramovich.
Rubin had been touted as a potential buyer by ESPN, but his representatives have come out to publicly dispel the rumours.
Rubin’s spokesperson said: “Michael has no interest in buying Chelsea. He is 100% focused on continuing to build the Fanatics business and is not interested in adding ownership stakes at this time.”
    Abramovich nearly brought Arsenal
Roman Abramovich could have bought Arsenal instead of Chelsea— but he was mistakenly warned off the Gunners by ignorant Swiss bankers.
The stunning revelations have been made in book, The Club, penned by two Wall Street Journal writers.
They spoke at length with executives from leading Premier League clubs.
The book claims in 2003, Abramovich hired Swiss bank UBS to examine the economics of English top-flight football.
One of its findings was that ‘Arsenal were categorically not for sale’.
The book also says former Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein believed the club’s owners would have cashed in if Abramovich had offered.
McGregor ‘forms consortium’ to buy Chelsea
Conor McGregor has reportedly linked up with several other interested parties to make his dream of buying Chelsea come true.
McGregor’s allegedly grouped with the owners of the Chicago Cubs MLB team and property mogul Nick Candy to form a consortium with the hopes of acquiring the Blues from Abramovich.
Exclusive: A pack of international suitors including the owners of the Chicago Cubs MLB team, the property entrepreneur Nick Candy and the MMA star Conor McGregor are exploring forming consortia to bid for Chelsea FC as Roman Abramovich plots a £3bn sale. https://t.co/2Ly2mqKcv4— Mark Kleinman (@MarkKleinmanSky) March 5, 2022

    Death brawl on football pitch
Two people have been killed and more than 20 more taken to hospital after a bloody riot broke out during a Mexican football match between Queretaro and Atlas.
The brawls broke out about an hour into the top-flight clash at Corregidora Stadium on Saturday.
It was initially feared that multiple fans may have been killed after local reports in Mexico claimed as many as 17 were dead.
But officials from the Coordination of Civil Protection of the State of Querétaro later clarified that 22 people were transported to hospitals, with two in critical condition.
“The rest are stable. It should be mentioned that all of those injured are male and at this moment it’s been confirmed that four were from the state of Jalisco.”

    Zinchenko’s gratitude for Ukraine support
Oleksandr Zinchenko admits he breaks down in tears every time British schoolkids tell him they are praying for Ukraine.
Manchester City’s left-back expressed gratitude to his club and people of the UK for the support he has received since Russia invaded his homeland.
Zinchenko, who has won 48 caps for his country, said: “Even outside the club, when I am walking in the street, little guys who are maybe ten-years-old from school come to me and say ‘we are praying for your country.’ Tears come from my eyes straight away.
“Everyone in Ukraine feels all of the world is standing with us.”

    Kante speaks on Abramovich’s departure
Chelsea star N’Golo Kante admitted he and his team-mates were ‘not prepared’ for Roman Abramovich’s shock departure statement.
The Frenchman told Sky Sports: “It’s something we were not prepared for, it came quickly.
“But the only thing we can do, because we don’t control these things, is to do the best that we have always done.
“Which means that playing football at the best [possible level], for us, for the club, for the fans and see how the things are going and it’s the only thing we can control.
“It’s sad to see things like this [the invasion of Ukraine]. We can hope that it finishes as quickly as possible and in the best way.”
    Ronaldo’s jet-set lifestyle
    Cristiano Ronaldo bought a Gulfstream G200 twin-engine jet in 2015 for £20million.
He and partner Georgina Rodriguez have been seen making the most of the luxury transport.
Originally named the ‘Astra Galaxy’, the G200 is capable of reaching a top speed of 560mph.
Its range is up to 3,910 miles with four passengers in tow, so it’s ideal for quick flights from his new base in England to hubs around Europe.
But the G200 offers a generous seating configuration, and can fit as many as eight to 10 passengers for one flight.

    Don’t worry about it
Jack Grealish has been told by Pep Guardiola to stop being ‘stupid’ for worrying about his poor scoring record.
Guardiola said: “If he is frustrated about his number of goals, he is a stupid man.
“That is not necessary to be frustrated about scoring goals. He has to play, and play good and try to do his best, that’s all he has to do. If he scores a goal, good. If not, next game.”
    Keeping up with Jones
Man United are reportedly one of a host of clubs tracking Middlesbrough starlet Isaiah Jones.
The 22-year-old has gone from non-league unknown at Tooting & Mitchham to one of the Championship’s brightest stars in over the past two years.
Jones shone again last Tuesday at wing-back as Boro dumped Tottenham out of the FA Cup.
And 90 Min claims that his display led to Tottenham ‘asking to be kept informed’ over his future.
But United are allegedly ready to battle Spurs for any potential swoop should Chris Wilder’s side decide to cash-in.
    Morning footy fans
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has slammed his own fans for chanting Roman Abramovich’s name while Turf Moor paid tribute to Ukraine before their Premier League match.
“It’s not the moment to do this. Listen, if we show solidarity, we show solidarity, and we should do it together,” Tuchel said after the game.
“We take the knee together, and if an important person from our club or another club unfortunately dies, we show a minute of respect. It’s not the moment to give other messages. It’s the moment to show respect.
“We do this because this is what we are also as a club. We show respect as a club, and we need our fans to commit to this minute of applause.
“At this moment, we do it for Ukraine, and there is no second opinion about the situation there. They have our thoughts and our support. We should stand together as a club. It’s not the moment for other messages.”
Chelsea have reportedly set a transfer fee for on-loan striker Armando Broja.
The 20-year-old striker has scored nine times for Southampton this term, where he has been shining on the South Coast.
And his form has alerted Arsenal and West Ham to his potential availability.
Now, Tuttomercatoweb claim the Blues are willing to accept offers in the region of £58million for the Albanian international.
    Pep wants huge striker
Pep Guardiola told Manchester City they must splash the cash on a striker this summer.
The Etihad club are desperate to snap up a forward with long-term targets Harry Kane and Erling Haaland top of the wishlist.
City boss Guardiola was knocked back four times last summer for England captain Kane, with Spurs demanding £160million.
But the Spaniard, who has hinted to stay beyond 2023 when his contract is due to run out, said any forward planning must include a top goalscorer.
He said: “I think the club needs a striker. Definitely.”
    Teen wonderkid Stones chase on
Wigan and Blackburn are checking out Guiseley teenager Josh Stones.
The striker, 18, is catching the eye in the National League North after only signing his first pro deal in October.
Stones has made 11 appearances so far this term, scoring once.
But he could now be set for a stunning move up the leagues, with Wigan and Blackburn both keen.
Stones was promoted to Guiseley’s first team earlier this season.
That’s after he netted nine times in just five games for their youth side.

    Tactical change
With no natural striker in Ralf Rangnick’s starting XI you have to wonder if the German manager was forced into change once Cristiano Ronaldo’s absence was confirmed.
It will be interesting how United will line-up and who will fill the hole left by the Portuguese striker.
Technically we have a game today with neither side opting to play a striker in their starting line ups, which would suggest we should not expect many goals.
    Huge game
Not that a Manchester derby needs spicing up at all but both of the teams, blue side and red, need a win today for different reasons.
City want to stay ahead of Liverpool at the top of the table in their pursuit to win back-to-back Premier League titles.
United need a top-four spot to keep Champions League football at Old Trafford for another season.

    Man Utd subs:
    3. Bailly, 4. Jones, 8. Mata, 10. Rashford, 14. Lingard, 20. Dalot, 26. Henderson, 31. Matic, 46. Mejbri.
    Man Utd starting XI:
Not only is the exclusion of Cristiano Ronaldo a surprise but the one remaining striker, Marcus Rashford is on the bench.
McTominay comes back into the side after missing the last game.
    1. De Gea, 2. Lindelof, 5. Maguire, 6. Pogba, 17. Fred, 18. B Fernandes, 25. Sancho, 27. Alex Telles, 29. Wan-Bissaka, 36. Elanga, 39. McTominay.

    Man City subs:
    7. Sterling, 8. Gundogan, 9. Gabriel Jesus, 11. Zinchenko, 25. Fernandinho, 33. Carson, 48. Delap, 79. Mbete, 87. McAtee
    Man City starting XI:
Grealish starts for City while the returning Gabriel Jesus starts on the bench.
With Ruben Dias out with a hamstring injury, Kyle Walker comes into the side with John Stones filling in for the centre-back.
    31. Ederson, 2. Walker, 5. Stones, 14. Laporte, 27. Cancelo, 16. Rodrigo, 17. De Bruyne, 20. Bernardo, 26. Mahrez, 10. Grealish, 47. Foden.

    CR-ocked striker
The huge news is the confirmation that Cristiano Ronaldo will miss the game today due to injury, given the transfer saga that almost saw him join the blue side of Manchester before making a complete U-turn to rejoin his old team.
All week Pep Guardiola will have had his coaches drilling his defensive line on how to deal with the talismanic striker.
A player like Cristiano Ronaldo only needs to be ‘in the game’ for a few moments in any game and you can find yourself punished by the Portuguese striker.
Ralf Rangnick will have wanted to keep the news that CR7 was not to feature in this game right up until the last moment to disrupt the preparations of their rivals.
Ronaldo has score or assisted in 18 goals this season for Man Utd and will be a huge miss in a game that the red half of the city will be desperate for a win.
The German coach will have no doubt been working hard on an alternative style of play utilising his only available striker, Marcus Rashford.
    Derby day
This is the 187th Manchester derby today.
Today’s game will be the 50th Premier League meeting between the clubs, with 21 away wins in this time, it is more than any other fixture in the competition’s history.
The away side has won seven of the last nine Manchester derbies in all competitions, with the only home victory being Man Utd’s 2-0 win in March 2020.
    Pundit’s feeling
Ex-Man Utd striker, Michael Owen, told BT Sport how he feels his old team will get on in the derby today.
City will be too strong, too focussed for United here and they’ll control this game. United will score, but City will win 3-1.Michael OwenBT Sport
Betfair’s odds for Man City vs Man Utd
City are obviously favourites going into today’s game and Betfair have Man Utd at 15/2 to win at the Etihad.
    Man City win 4/11
    Draw 4/1
    Man Utd victory 15/2
    Bad voodoo
Man Utd are the one thorn in the side of Pep Guardiola’s managerial career.
Guardiola has lost four home games versus United, more than any other opponent in his career.
Raheem Sterling has failed to score in 23 league and cup appearances against Man Utd, including seven matches for Liverpool.
    Fine form
Man City have won 15 of their last 17 Premier League games (D1, L1).
The reigning champions have won all 20 league matches this season in which they have scored first.
City are looking to complete a league double over United for the second time under manager Pep Guardiola, having also done so in 2018-19.
    Derby passion
Irrelevant to how their respective seasons are going, the Manchester derby is always a chance to win bragging rights within the city.

    Lone wolf
With Cristiano Ronaldo being ruled out for the derby, United will also be without Edison Cavani for today’s game.
That leaves Ralf Rangnick with Marcus Rashford as his only recognised striker for this huge game.
This may work for the German if his chooses to try and counter-attack Pep’s City team.
    Speaking our ‘Langa
Anthony Elanga’s PE teacher has revealed he dazzled schoolmates in a school match for Hyde aged just 11 before going on to break into the United team just eight years later.
Mark Leadbeater, PE teacher at Hyde High School, was told this new lad was pretty good at football, so he came on as a substitute.
He told SunSport’s Gary Carter: “He got the ball, dribbled past five lads, went back around two of them, beat the goalkeeper, stopped the ball on the line and then tapped it in.
“Within about three months, his English was fluent.
“He sounds like he’s from Hyde now!
“His dream was to play football professionally.”

Gary Neville on Cristiano Ronaldo’s absence
Gary Neville believes United could actually be better off without Cristiano Ronaldo in the team today.
“United over the last three or four years, particularly under Ole [Gunner Solskjaer] were a counter attack team,” he said on air.
“[They were] really comfortable sitting back, punching out through [Marcus] Rashford and others on the break.”
“And I think that will be exactly the same today, and actually Cristiano not being in the team,
“I could never say it’s a positive, but actually I don’t see it as the big loss that I might do in other games.
“Because I actually think on the counter attack Manchester United need to be dangerous today, and they’re better off with Rashford up front counter attacking than they would be with Cristiano I think.”

    Rangnick wants control in possession
It’s certainly a tall order, but United boss Ralf Rangnick wants his side to try and control the game against City today.
“It’s about controlling the game,” he said.
“It’s about not letting them play and not letting them have the ball without any pressure, because this is exactly what they are looking for.
“For us it’s about always finding moments where we can put them under pressure, where we hopefully can take the ball away from them and take advantage of those transitional moments.
“Some teams recently have done that and it is up to us to show we can also.”

Cristiano Ronaldo NOT in the squad
There were rumblings early in the day that Cristiano Ronaldo was NOT going to play against Man City.
And those rumblings turned out to be spot on – CR7 is out with injury.
Manager Ralf Rangnick brought together his 21-man squad at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester on Saturday but Ronaldo couldn’t be seen.
SunSport can reveal that Ronaldo’s no-show WASN’T planned, and that certain United players were left stunned by the absence.
Edinson Cavani also wasn’t present, even though Rangnick indicated he would play the vital clash.
We’ll have all the latest on Ronaldo as the afternoon goes on.

Man City vs Man Utd team news
The big news is that Ronaldo is NOT in the Man Utd squad due to an injury.
Pep Guardiola, however, received a double defensive blow of his own in the 2-0 FA Cup win over Peterborough United as Ruben Dias and Nathan Ake were both dragged off early.
However, the central defenders will be assesed ahead of the game so both players could be in contention to play.
On the flip side, number two goalkeeper Zack Steffen is having shoulder troubles so he is unlikely to make it on the bench for the derby.
And talented youngster, Cole Palmer is still nursing a foot injury which means his return date remains to be unknown.
Scott McTominay has missed Manchester United’s last two fixtures through illness but Ralf Rangnick expects the Scotland international to be available for selection.
As for the other absentee missing from the Red Devils camp, Edinson Cavani hasn’t returned to training according to the boss which makes his chances of featuring against City slim to none.
    Good afternoon!
Hello and welcome to SunSport’s live coverage of Manchester United’s mega-clash with rivals Manchester City today at the Etihad.
It doesn’t get much bigger than this does it?
United are still clawing and fighting to remain in the Premier League’s top four spots and need a vital win today to send a message to their fellow battlers.
Arsenal are up against Watfoird today while Tottenham play on Monday, so a solid United performance could set the tone for the rest of the season.
City will be feeling the pressure today, however.
They’ve got title rivals Liverpool breating down their necks and things were made worse for Pep Guardiola’s men when the Reds picked up a win over West Ham last night.
City beat United with ease at Old Trafford earlier this season and they’ll be hoping for more of the same at home today.
So get yourself nice and comfortable – we’re in for a barnstormer.

Local boy Deji was left dejected when only one judge gave a decision in his favour, while the other two judges went with American Wassabi.

    Good morning!
It’s the morning after the night before and Deji will be looking back on last night with some regret after he lost another fight, this time with Alex Wassabi.
It was a good night for the American, who didn’t have to do much but look the busier man in the ring in order to get the victory.
Anthony Joshua was in attendance for the fight, showing that YouTube boxing is alive and well!
The evening didn’t go without some controversy, however, as the ring was invaded by a fan during the main event.
Needless to say, he was thrown out of the ring quicker than he got in it.
    Report
Deji suffered defeat in the boxing ring – but only after a fan invaded it.
The Londoner – real name Oladeji Daniel Olatunji – had twice fought before, losing the both.
He was in 2018 beaten by Jake Paul and then last June by TikToker Vinnie Hacker.
And after five rounds, it was a similar story for Deji, despite clearly improving his boxing skills and fitness.
But the bout descended into chaos during round two when a fame-hungry supporter ran into the ring.
It is unclear why he did so other than to try and go viral – but was all over the internet for all the wrong reasons.
He was embarrassingly dumped out of the ring head first and his actions caused the fight to be momentarily delayed.
When it did resume, Deji showed off tricky head movement, slipping punches but failing to counter.
Wassabi lacked any real technique but was more relentless than his British opponent.
It was enough to see him win a split-decision on the scorecards, much to the disappointment of Deji’s fans inside the Wembley Arena.

    Deji vs Alex Wassabi
Wassabi says: “This dude tough he has heart. He made it threw all of it. We made it threw all of it.”
He added: “I didn’t realise how tough it was going to be. This people love their people.”
Wassabi tells Deji. “Look man, I love you bro. I let all of those things in the past go already.”

    Deji vs Alex Wassabi
Round 5 – Wassabi backs Deji into the corner, letting his hands go.
It’s Wassabi walking forward and might be impressing the judges.

    Deji vs Alex Wassabi

We’ve seen it all tonight. What on earth is that?
Fight stops and again it’s carnage in the arena.
    Deji vs Alex Wassabi
Round 1 – Deji lands a quick left but Wassabi comes back on the front foot.
Decent head movement by Deji, slipping and evading punches.
He was coming forward more and may have nicked the round there.
    Deji vs Alex Wassabi
Wassabi comes into a chorus of boos.
He comes Deji, basically putting his boxing future on the line, refusing to fight if he fails to win here.
Main-event, it all comes down to this.
    Deji vs Alex Wassabi
Up next is the main-event. KSI’s brother Deji welcomes American Alex Wassabi into the ring.

Main-event, it all comes down to this.
    Deji vs Alex Wassabi
Up next is the main-event. KSI’s brother Deji welcomes American Alex Wassabi into the ring.
Deji has twice boxed before, losing both. The first won against Jake Paul in 2018 and then TikToker Vinnie Hacker last June.
He’s called this fight ‘redemption’ having claimed to have not trained for his last fights.

    King Kenny vs Faze Temperrr
Temperrr reckons he won every round – and he’s not far wrong.
He congratulates Kenny and says he’ll ‘probably’ fight again.
If he does, I wouldn’t do it over here.
    King Kenny vs Faze Temperrr
Judges the bout to King Kenny by split-decision and somehow he’s been given the win.
Faze Temperrr won at least four of the five rounds but has been a victim of fighting away from home.
YouTubers rush into the ring and celebrate with Kenny. So that’s nice.
    King Kenny vs Faze Temperrr
Round 5 – Both men let their hands go down the stretch, committing to winning the final round.
Temperrr lands a nice little combination at the end which may have been enough to nick him the round.
For my money he’s won this pretty easily. But you never know with British judging.
    King Kenny vs Faze Temperrr
Round 4 – Decent right-left combo lands for Temperrr.
But backs comes Kenny as he lets his hands go. Not sure how much landed but he’s stepped his foot on the gas.
Kenny ducks underneath something and comes over the top with a hook. Probably enough to have won him the round.
    King Kenny vs Faze Temperrr
Round 3 – Slow round that round with not much to separate them.
Some decent jabs for Kenny but he’s not doing all that much, just not throwing his right.
Temperrr is landing at a far more successful rate. He doesn’t look great but doing just about enough.
    King Kenny vs Faze Temperrr
Round 2 – Decent little trade up, Temperrr lands couple good left hands but Kenny had a response with a right hand.
Kenny looked more confident in that round but Temperrr is the far more convincing.
Tactical switch needed for Kenny, who needs to double up his shots as he’s getting countered.
    King Kenny vs Faze Temperrr
Round 1 – Not really much going on in the opening round but Temperrr has started far better.
He’s using his southpaw length very well, landing some decent jabs and left hands.
Kenny struggled to get into range and was getting caught coming in.
    King Kenny vs Faze Temperrr
Temperrr comes out to a chorus of boos but stands as a 6ft 4in southpaw, so could be tricky.
Kenny receives a massive reception and walks out to 50 Cent’s classic ‘Many Men’.
    Excitement building around this one.
    Up next
Co-main event between ‘King Kenny’ and ‘Faze Temperrr’.
Kenny coincidentally trains alongside tonight’s headliner Deji.
Deji headlines the night against American Alex Wasabbi.
    Kristen Hanby vs Vitaly
Judges score the bout to a DRAW.
Hanby probably boxed the better but landed multiple headbutts.
But the ref didn’t take a point away so neither did the judges. Vitaly calls for a rematch… says they could do it tomorrow.
    Kristen Hanby vs Vitaly
Round 4 – So Hanby landed a load of headbutts but somehow got away with it. Fight continues, because why not?
Vitaly marches forward but Hanby is quite literally holding on for dear life.
Both men throws hands right till the end – not ONE landing – but they did give it their all. Scorecards next.
    Kristen Hanby vs Vitaly
Round 3 – Vitaly finally lands a right hand causing Hanby to hold on and almost getting taken off his feet.
Now it looks as though Hanby landed a sneaky little headbutt. The second of the show. What is going on?
A THIRD headbutt and it’s ending again in utter chaos. He was doing fairly well up until that point. All gone to waste?
    Kristen Hanby vs Vitaly
Round 2 – Another similar round as Hanby boxes on the back foot, landing some nice jabs.
Vitaly just cluelessly walking forward, running into jabs and throwing the occasional right hand slap.
He has about two stone on Hanby but has so far proven big for nothing.
