    Prem date moved
Chelsea’s Premier League match with Manchester United has been moved after the Blues reached the FA Cup Final.
The West Londoners will return to Wembley stadium on May 14 to face Liverpool.
But the game means Chelsea will be unable to fulfil their original league date against United.
The two teams were due to play at Old Trafford on Sunday May 15, which is the day after the final.
But it has now been confirmed the ficture will be moved and thus the Red Devils will host Thomas Tuchel’s men on Thursday April 28.
And the match will kick off at 7.45pm, with live TV coverage remaining on Sky Sports
    Tuchel on Loftus-Cheek
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel reiterated his instruction to Ruben Loftus-Cheek insisting he needs to show more.
Tuchel said: “Hopefully a big moment because it was a big moment.
“He’s normally a clam and quiet guy, but to see him like this – jumping and celebrating – is good.
“As I’ve said, we need to install this confidence into his body and game and these are the next steps for him.
“He needs to feel how much influence he can have, show everybody in the stadium the potential he has and not just to us on the training pitches”

    Tuchel on Kovacic injury
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel announced that Mateo Kovacic suffered an ankle injury and “it does not look so good”.
Tuchel said: “We went for Jorgi [Jorginho] in the mix as he was hungry to play this match.
“The season is not finished and we wanted to reward Jorgi and Azpi [Cesar Azpilicueta] to stay part.
“Kova goes out. He is in pain and the ankle is swollen. It’s a huge ankle right now. It does not look so good but let’s wait for the examination.
    More from Tuchel
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel added: “We can’t promise. All we can do now is to be well prepared because it will be another hard fight given their quality and run of form.
“It’s difficult to beat them but this is what the cup final is about, it’s about winning.
“It makes the season so much sweeter if you have a final you can win, but in a final two compete against each other and you can sometimes give your everything and it’s sometimes not enough”
    Tuchel on Liverpool final
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel addressed the upcoming FA Cup Final against Liverpool, just a few months after an unsuccessful Carabao Cup Final.
Tuchel said: “We lost a final and we gave everything in that final. It was a big match that went until the last penalty.
“We were unlucky to lose it and of course, we want to turn things around.
“It will not give us the Carabao title back but it’s the FA Cup, it’s the most prestigious and traditional cup in the world. There are not a lot of bigger games to be part of”
    More from Tuchel
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel opened up on the way he approached the FA Cup semi-final tactically.
Tuchel added: “Very solid, very serious. We had to take care of some things to control the counter-attacks before they even started. For that, we had to be disciplined and we had to close the spaces.
“We did not expect them to change their formation so there were not the spaces we thought we could explore. It was not maybe the most exciting game to watch but it was important to keep the discipline up.
“We did not lose the focus for a second. We tried to find different spaces in the second half to overload the middle and accelerate the game more and then it became more fluid. Then you have to covert the half chance or the chance to win it”

    Chelsea given Haaland boost
Bayern Munich have ruled out a move for Borussia Dortmund superstar and Chelsea transfer target Erling Haaland.
Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn admitted the German champions would love to sign Haaland.
But he admitted the Bavarians can’t afford Dortmund’s release clause for the star striker.
Kahn said: “Haaland? I don’t think we would be doing our job properly if we didn’t consider such a young striker.
“He’s an excellent striker and a very interesting player for the future. But financial dimensions [of a deal] are beyond our imagination”
    Loftus-Cheek reacts
Chelsea ace Ruben Loftus-Cheek looked back at his “tough road” to full fitness.
Loftus-Cheek told ITV: “Way overdue [the goal]! It has been a tough road with injuries and going on loan to find my form again but I always believed in myself and I always wanted to play for Chelsea. I have played quite a lot this season, I am happy.
“I was just thinking hit it, I think it took a little deflection but I’ll take it! I had to be ready to step in. It looked a bit slow in the first half so I just wanted to bring some energy.
“The reason I am still here is my mentality through all the injuries. I still believed in myself and I said for many years my time will come.
“We want to get them back, simple as that. It was a fantastic game in the League Cup final and could have gone either way”
    Thomas Tuchel reacts
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel praised Ruben Loftus Cheek’s performance against Crystal Palace.
Tuchel told ITV: “It was not easy because we played three games in three different competitions. It is not always easy, very challenging physically, we are the team with the most minutes in Europe I think, it is also challenging mentally.
“I thought the performance was very controlled and very serious, we took care of their counterattacks. It was hard, the opponent changed system twice, you cannot lose focus for a minute.
“He [Ruben Loftus-Cheek] was very, very strong in matches against Southampton and Real Madrid, he would have deserved to start but we expected a back four. We knew Ruben would have a big impact off the bench. I am very happy.
“He hid his talent and potential for a long time in his career. He is capable of producing performances that everyone sees on the pitch. For him it is step by step that he continues to grow in his confidence”

Pagliuca won Terry’s backing just 24 hours before final bids were submitted on Thursday.
And the Celtics chief will now tap into the former Blues captain’s expertise to help win the race to take over from Roman Abramovich.
A preferred bidder could be announced by the middle of next week and a deal completed by the end of the month.

The Blues secured their place in the finale with a 2-0 win over Arsenal’s ladies in the semi-finals.
Goals from Guro Reiten and Ji So-yun gave Emma Hayes’ side the win.
Chelsea’s men’s side will be hoping they can also get into the competition’s final when they face Crystal Palace today.
    Chelsea given Haaland boost
Bayern Munich have ruled out a move for Chelsea transfer target Erling Haaland.
Bayern chief Oliver Kahn admitted the German side would love to sign the Borussia Dortmund striker.
But he admitted Bayern can’t afford Dortmund’s release clause for Haaland.
Kahn said: “Haaland? I don’t think we would be doing our job properly if we didn’t consider such a young striker.
“He’s an excellent striker and a very interesting player for the future. But financial dimensions [of a deal] are beyond our imagination.”
    Tuchel issues Loftus-Cheek warning
Thomas Tuchel has told Ruben Loftus-Cheek to believe in himself more.
Tuchel said: “He has everything, but he has heard it for so many years, he has heard it too much.
“He needs to trust himself. It is not a matter of over-confidence. It is the opposite.
“He needs to feel the confidence in his body and in his ability to do this not once, twice but three, four, ten, 20 times in a row.”
    Eden Hazard is staying put
Eden Hazard has no intentions of leaving Real Madrid despite interest from Chelsea and Arsenal.
That’s according to the winger’s brother, Kylian who claims his sibling still has a point to prove with Los Blancos.
Kylian told RTL Sport: “He’s not going to let Real go until he’s proven he’s the strongest there.
“He’s proven himself at every club he’s been to, and for me, he doesn’t want to leave.
“I don’t think he’s going to leave. If the president wants him to leave, and he knows he has no chance to play, then I don’t think that he will stay. But I can assure you, he will do everything to prove he is the best player at Real Madrid.”
    Tuchel on Real Madrid loss
Thomas Tuchel thinks like Chelsea still won against Real Madrid despite crashing out the Champions League at the hands of the Spanish giants.
He said: “We won. We won with an excellent performance and the attitude, investment, mentality, everything was on top level, what we needed.
“We got the result that was even enough to go through and we didn’t make it so it is disappointing and sad. It still needs a bit of time to digest.”
    Vieira talks Chelsea game
Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira has told his stars that they’re in for a shock if they think Chelsea are mentally damaged after losing to Real Madrid.
He said: “If we are thinking that mentally they will be disappointed about the Madrid game, or the Madrid game having an impact on them, that is the biggest mistake we can make.
“Those clubs, those players they aim to win something every year and of course the FA Cup is what’s left on the table and they will do the maximum to try to win it.”
    Tuchel on Crystal Palace threat
Thomas Tuchel has admitted Crystal Palace will give his Chelsea side a challenge when they meet in the FA Cup.
He said: “The constant level on which they are playing, high level of energy, commitment.
“They are playing throughout the season in the same way. It is a big belief, a real team effort, very close to the coach.”
    It’s not Wright
Shaun Wright-Phillips has blasted his former club Chelsea for not allowing loanee Conor Gallagher to play in today’s FA Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace.
Speaking to Metro he said: “I don’t agree with the fact that loan players can’t play against their parent team. I’ve never agreed with it.
“For me, if you think he’s that good then play him in your team, give him his shot to show what he’s capable of.”

33, Alonso floats a ball in and Palace clear. It comes to Jorginho, who lays it off first time for Mount. But the midfielder’s effort is way over the Palace bar.
    Chelsea 0-0 Crystal Palace
32, James bends one into the area, but Schlupp was alert enough to head the ball clear.
Chelsea with all the possession, now.
    Chelsea 0-0 Crystal Palace
29, Werner breezes past Kouyate before flashing a ball across the box. It comes to Azpilicueta who attempts an audacious scissor kick which spins off his boot and out for a Palace goal kick.
    Chelsea 0-0 Crystal Palace
28, A speculative ball is played over to Werner, and Andersen has to concede the corner.
Ward gets his head to James’ ball in, and Chelsea have another corner. Zaha is able to deal with it, and nearly manages to bundle through on goal, but Chelsea survive.
    Chelsea 0-0 Crystal Palace
27, Tuchel is screaming at his players. Not the start he was after, clearly.
    Chelsea 0-0 Crystal Palace
26, Jorginho plays a ball straight into the path of Eze who plays a one two before being tripped by Mount.
Eze plays a discreet ball over to Andersen who was just a few steps a way from it. It’s Mendy’s ball.
Chelsea 0-0 Crystal Palace – Chelsea change
24, Here comes the substitution, then. Finally, something for the fans to cheer!
Kovacic limps off after picking up an injury a few minutes ago.
    Loftus-Cheek is on.
    Chelsea 0-0 Crystal Palace
23, Loftus-Cheek is being briefed on the side-lines. That could be the end of Kovacic’s afternoon.
    Chelsea 0-0 Crystal Palace
21, Its the battle of the throw-ins at the moment.
Mitchell wins one, before Mount gets it back, then Zaha wins another, all in the same position.
Kovacic looks to be in a spot of bother, holding his knee any time the ball goes out.
    Chelsea 0-0 Crystal Palace
18, Palace look to find their rhythm, but Rudiger reads it and clears it forward to an on running Werner. Andersen deals with it well, calmly heading back to his keeper.
Azpilicueta then finds some room down the right, but his touch is too heavy and rolls out for a goal kick.
    Chelsea 0-0 Crystal Palace
17, Very little to shout about.
Butland has just held on to possession for what felt like an age.
Both teams clearly sussing each other out here, desperate not to give anything away.
    Chelsea 0-0 Crystal Palace
14, Chelsea win a corner and James swings it in. But no one in yellow was anticipating the header back across goal.
    Chelsea 0-0 Crystal Palace
    11, A tentative first 10 minutes.
Butland pumps the ball forward and Alonso chooses to shield the ball for a goal-kick. Not quite the ‘end to end’ fans might have expected.
The ball is then slipped in towards Werner, but Andersen slides in smartly to stop the attack.
    Chelsea 0-0 Crystal Palace
9, Eze gives the ball away carelessly, and Chelsea attack.
Some cheeky flicks nearly set Werner free. The ball then comes back out to Mount who bends one towards goal. Butland can hold on to it.
    Chelsea 0-0 Crystal Palace
7, We’re beginning to get started here.
Chelsea have a good spell of posession, but Mount can’t quite sweep the ball on to Azpilicueta.
Zaha then spots Mateta running forward. Christensen misjudges the pace on the ball, and sets Mateta free. The defender recovers well, though, and dispossess the Palace man.
    Chelsea 0-0 Crystal Palace
5, Mateta attempts to hold off both Rudiger and Alonso near the corner flag before falling into the Spaniard and conceding a foul.
    Chelsea 0-0 Crystal Palace
3, Havertz is judged to have impeded his man, and Palace flood the penalty area for the free-kick. Chelsea get it clear.
It’s been a disjointed start to this match.
    Chelsea 0-0 Crystal Palace
1, Andersen’s first touch is… a balloon. Anthony Taylor blows his whistle to clear yet another one.
I wonder if Wembley are regretting agreeing to this.
Kick-off – Chelsea vs Crystal Palace
A slightly delayed kick-off as some of those balloons I mentioned have made their way on to the field.
Both sets of players now take the knee, and referee Anthony Taylor blows his whistle to get this FA Cup semi-final underway!
Crystal Palace are in their traditional red and white stripes, whilst Chelsea sport an all yellow strip.
    Here come the two teams!
The players emerge from the tunnel on to a sunny Wembley pitch.
The fans are certainly in good voice, as they wave flags and throw balloons around the stands.
We are moments away from an all-London semi-final!
‘Big game player’ Havertz ready for more
Havertz starts today, with Chelsea fans hoping for another big moment from their forward.
Since his move to London last season, the 22-year-old has scored some important goals. It all started with the German’s winner against Manchester City in the Champions League final. Since then Havertz scored in the Club World Cup final for his country, before netting against Spurs in the Carabao Cup semi-final.

    Guehi up against former club
Despite Connor Galagher’s absence today, his team-mate Marc Guehi will not be denied playing time this afternoon.
The defender chose to leave Chelsea for Crystal Palace last Summer and hasn’t looked back since, starting 30 out of 31 Premier League games this season.
I thought the decision to leave Chelsea and come to Palace was the right one in order to get that game time and hopefully show what I can do.Marc Guehi, Crystal Palace defender
The 21-year-old may still be young, but he has Wembley experience on his side. This afternoon will mark the defender’s third appearance in the stadium after making his England debut last month and playing here for Swansea in the championship play-off final last year.

    Connor is in the house
Despite no place in the side today, Gallagher has travelled with the team to watch on as a spectator.
The Englishman has the decency to sign a few shirts whilst he’s at it.

Chelsea out with point to prove
Thomas Tuchel is keen to right Chelsea’s previous wrongs at Wembley stadium this afternoon. The blues lost 11-10 on penalties to Liverpool in this season’s Carabao Cup final.
With their Champions League exit, and the Premier League seemingly out of reach, the FA Cup is Chelsea’s last hope of a trophy this season.
Speaking about today’s tie, here’s what the Chelsea boss had to say:
We have been in a final there already this season, the carabao Cup Final. We’ve lost both our finals at Wembley. You feel you have something to prove.Thomas Tuchel, Chelsea boss

    Momentum for title run-in
There may be a lot more to take from this game other than a place in the final.

    Performance with passion and heart
Rangers really showed how much they wanted this game today.

Now only Hearts stand in the way of their first domestic trophy in a decade.
    No stopping Rangers’ confidence
After a huge result for the club midweek in the Europa League quarter-final against Braga, Rangers have taken that into today’s game.
They looked a different team to the one that lost at home to Celtic only a couple of weeks ago.
On the front foot from the off, Rangers fully deserved their win.

Such a dangerous area both attacker and defender had to go in for the ball.
Joe Hart with no chance as it is diverted into the net.
    Goal – Starfelt (own goal)
    Celtic 1-1 Rangers
    112. It is not looking like we will get the winner we crave here.
Moving into the closing stages of the game, Celtic attack.
Free kick given to Rangers, allowing them to counter.
    Celtic 1-1 Rangers

Rangers win the ball back and come straight back at them.

Amir Khan gets in the ring
But he doesn’t seem like he wants a fight with Conor Benn.
Khan: I just came here to enjoy the champ, I’m here to enjoy the boxing. He’s got a brilliant career. At the moment I’m spending time with the family.
    Benn: Money always talks
Khan: I’ve made a lot of money in the game.
Benn: No disrespect on my part, if I achieve half of what he has, I’d be very happy.
And the two embrace, and Khan leaves the ring.
    Benn KNOCKS OUT Van Heerden
Benn backed Van Heerden up against the ropes and really, it was all done from there.
A few thunderous shots, finished off with one big right hand to the temple, and down goes Van Heerden, face first into the ropes.
    A step-up now, please?
    Benn KNOCKS OUT Van Heerden!
    Absolutely brutal.
Benn vs Van Heerden – R1
Benn comes out looking to land big shots immediately!
He backs the South African to the ropes but Van Heerden comes back with a counter-shot of his own.
Benn continues his attack, comes in low and lands a nice right hand to the chin followed up by a left hook.
Some bombs being thrown early here in Manchester!
Benn vs Van Heerden – R1
Round one is underway in Manchester!
Ready or not, here I come
    And here’s Conor Benn!
Conor Benn vs Chris van Heerden NEXT
The South African is making his ring-walk…
    BIG win
    Look at that from CBS..

    The Gentleman on 15-1
CBS goes over to McCarthy and checks that his two-fight rival is safe.
It was a sensational way to settle their grudge.
McCarthy had moments but he could not escape CBS’ power and took one too many shots.
Right hands rained down on the Belfast man until he could take no more. CBS retains his Commonwealth and European titles and moves to 15-1.
    CBS WINS R8
    Sensational KO from Chris Billam-Smith.
McCarthy gets pinned on the ropes and utterly pasted.
Somehow the brave Irishman stood up and absorbed about six heavy flush head shots.
But eventually he was felled and counted out on the deck.
    CBS vs McCarthy – R7
McCarthy lands a check left hook that puts him in the driving seat of the round.
But then CBS lands three right hands that shatter his opponent’s momentum.
Both men land as the round comes to a close, McCarthy looks the most damaged.
But CBS is not as dominant as he started off.
    CBS vs McCarthy – R6
Brave McCarthy lands a couple to claw his way back into the bout.
But CBS is starting to look too big and strong and fit.
Even when McCarthy’s best shots land they don’t see him to hurt the Englishman.
And when CBS closes the distance he can manhandle and bully McCarthy on the ropes. Still all to fight for.
    CBS vs McCarthy – R5
McCarthy’s corner begs him to jab and move but he is still hurting from the fourth.
Two CBS left hooks look skull-shattering but McCarthy stays up and keeps slashing back.
McCarthy goes to the body with two digs but CBS’ ribs are solid.
McCarthy survives another stanza but the damage must be wearing him down.
    CBS vs McCarthy – R4
Big round for CBS as McCarthy is almost knocked out. Two minutes into the session a left hook shook McCarthy’s senses and he never fully recovered them.
A chopping right hand from CBS had the Irishman shaken and and a straighter dig laster crashed into his temple.
CBS smothers his work and gets too close to McCarthy when he could be finishing him from range.
    McCarthy somehow survives.
    CBS vs McCarthy – R3
Trainer Shan McGuigan has woke CBS us as he lands a left hook.
It’s scrappy again until McCarthy cracks a rasping right hand into the Hampshire man’s skull
McCarthy’s trainer Peter Taylor ends the session looking pleased with his lad.
It’s close and tight but McCarthy has made the brighter start with cleaner landed shots.
    CBS vs McCarthy – R2
McCarthy lands a one-two when CBS lowers his guard for the first time.
And the Irishman connects with the same textbook combination moments later that gets his green crowd cheering.
Right on the bell McCarthy lands a booming right hand that stiffens CBS’ legs and he falls foward onto his foe but the bell goes to save him.
    McCarthy round.
    CBS vs McCarthy – R1
First round is scrappy and rough with both men warned over rabbit punches and head butts.
CBC does land a left hook that seems flush but McCarthy doesn’t wobble.
McCarthy is happy on the backfoot as the Bournemouth man walks him down and tries to overpower him.
    Repeat or revenge?
Last July Cris Billam-Smith and Tommy McCarthy slugged it out in Eddie Hearn’s Essex garden.
Bournemouth’s CBS nicked it on a split decision and they rerun the cruiserweight clash tight now.
McCarthy arrives to James Brown classic, The Big Payback.
    Hatton vs Gregores – R6
Hatton begins the round with some nice, patient work, landing a few jabs before pinging in the right hand.
He then goes for a left uppercut off the back of a right hand but Gregores covers up.
Much has been made of how hard it’s been for Campbell to follow in the footsteps of his dad Ricky, but tonight’s been another improvement for the 21-year-old.
Gregores tries to land something meaningful in the final 10 seconds but to no avail.
    Shutout for Hatton.
    Hatton vs Gregores – R5
Campbell’s trainer Matthew Hatton asks his nephew to get the snap back into his punches.
“Let’s not get ragged,” he adds.
And Campbell responds in kind, landing a beautiful left to the body.
“Good shot!” Matthew shouts from the corner.
Gregores looks like he’s feeling the pace of the fight so far, he’s not throwing as much as he was before.
    Hatton vs Gregores – R4
More of the same from Hatton, who keeps coming forward and looking for big shots.
Gregores looks like he’s becoming used to Hatton’s power, however, and is probably going to get through these next few rounds.
Hatton lands a nice left to the body, but Gregores comes back with a counter of his own.
Every round to Campbell so far.
    Hatton vs Gregores – R3
Gregores has another fight in two weeks, so he won’t want to get stopped here.
But Hatton is landing some big shots. Young Campbell looks hell-bent on getting that stoppage.
And it would increase his streak to three. Some signs also that Hatton is slightly weary of what’s coming back from the Argentine.
Regardless, another round banked for Hatton, who finishes the round landing some big right hands.
    Credit: PA
    Hatton vs Gregores – R2
A little careless from Hatton to start the round, he likes to come forward but gets caught on the way out.
Carl Froch notes on commentary that Hatton can’t take those shots once he steps up his level of competition.
But some good body shots follows in the middle minute of the round.
Gregores can land a nice counter if he gets there quick enough, however.
    Hatton vs Gregores – R1
Hatton starts things on the front foot and lands a nice right hand but smothers his work a little quickly.
Gregores lands a solid jab but Hatton comes back with a body shot.
Big right hand from Hatton now as he continues to look for hooks to the body. Some great variation from the youngster.
Good start from legend Ricky’s son.

    Man City 1-3 Liverpool
    77. There’s very little movement on the City bench, and it’s beginning to appear one of those games where Pep Guardiola shows he’s as daft and stubborn as he is talented.
    Man City 1-3 Liverpool
    75. Manchester City are having the brunt of the possession, but they cannot find a way through Liverpool right now.
The Reds are dropping into a 4-5-1 shape without the ball, and, of course, they still look threatening on the counter-attack.
Man City 1-3 Liverpool – Liverpool substitution
    73. A first change sees club captain Jordan Henderson replace Naby Keita in midfield.
The England man is on to help his side see this semi-final out.
    Man City 1-3 Liverpool
    72. As big a chance at the other end now goes begging!
Diaz does brilliantly to control Robertson’s long punt forward, and flicks it on towards Salah on the right.
Zinchenko quickly intervenes but his header towards Steffen is short and leaves the Egyptian in on goal.
Salah gets to the loose ball and dinks it over the City keeper – but also the crossbar.
    Man City 1-3 Liverpool
    70. Big save from Alisson!
Jesus is played through one-on-one by Grealish’s pass, and attempts to slip a sidefooter underneath the Liverpool goalkeeper.
A second City goal looks inevitable. However, the Brazilian stopper sticks out a big foot and makes a vital block.
    Man City 1-3 Liverpool
    68. A slapstick 60 seconds.
Fernandinho initially does well to bring the ball out of defence, but then overplays and loses possession.
Thiago then sets up Diaz on the edge of the box, but he gets it caught between his feet before Keita follows up with a 30-yarder that swerves towards the top tier.
    Man City 1-3 Liverpool
    66. Brilliant defensive work again from Ake.
The Dutchman keeps pace Salah all the way back into his own area, and then takes the ball off the toe of the Egyptian just as he was preparing to shoot.
    Man City 1-3 Liverpool
    64. Liverpool are living a little dangerously – unnecessarily so.
Robertson gives away possession inside his own area, and Sterling has the opportunity to pick out a teammate.
However, the England man thumps his cross into the chest of Konate.
Man City 1-3 Liverpool – Mane yellow card
    61. A little bit of retribution? Mane clips the heels of Fernandinho as he threatens to move away in midfield.
It seems bizarre that this petulant clip draws the same punishment as Fernandinho’s thunderous challenge, but them’s the rules.
    Man City 1-3 Liverpool
    60. We hit the hour mark and still no substitutions – which is odd considering how these two managers have been banging on about fixture congestion and the need for five changes.
    Man City 1-3 Liverpool
    58. Kevin De Bruyne is warming up on the sidelines.
Will Pep do the sensible thing and replace Fernandinho?
Man City 1-3 Liverpool – Fernandinho yellow card
    56. Pow! Fernandinho absolutely clatters Sadio Mane, and the Liverpool players are absolutely furious.
They surround the City midfielder in anger, and then the referee in protest, demanding the strongest action is taken.
Michael Oliver takes time to consider what he’s seen and then pulls out the yellow card.
It’s probably just about the right decision, but the speed at which the Brazilian sent Mane flying through the air made it look much worse.
Having avoided a yellow card in the first half for a poor challenge, Fernandinho can consider himself fortunate to still be on the pitch.
    Man City 1-3 Liverpool
    54. Van Dijk and Alisson combine to come to Liverpool’s rescue.
A delicate pass by Sterling sends Jesus through on goal, but a well-timed nudge from the defender, and a sprawling save from the goalkeeper deny City a second.
    Man City 1-3 Liverpool
    53. A really important intervention from Ake, who denies fellow Dutchman Van Dijk the simplest task of converting Alexander-Arnold’s curling free-kick at the far post.
    Man City 1-3 Liverpool
    50. It’s a different game now – mainly because City look a vaguely competent side since the restart.
Man City 1-3 Liverpool – Keita yellow card
    49. Have Liverpool been rattled by City’s response?
That awaits to be seen, but they have another player on a yellow card after Naby Keita is cautioned for a high lunge on Fernandinho.
    Man City 1-3 Liverpool
    47. Seventy seconds into the second half and City are back in with a chance.
Gabriel Jesus does well to get himself back onside when his colleagues in midfield win the ball back, and then keeps his cool when he’s released inside the area.
The Brazilian cuts back inside Fabinho and then, after momentarily losing his footing, squares into the path of Jack Grealish, who thumps home.
Goal! Jack Grealish pulls one back!
    Kick-off – Man City 0-3 Liverpool
    45. We’re back underway at Wembley where there are no changes to report.
Each side have five substitutions at their disposal from nine players on the bench.
    City apologise for Hillsborough interruption
A planned minute’s silence in memory of those lost during the Hillsborough disaster was cut short by referee Michael Oliver following chanting from the Manchester City end of Wembley.
The club have since released the following statement.
Manchester City are extremely disappointed with the actions of some City supporters during the minute’s silence before today’s game. The Club sincerely apologises to all those connected with Liverpool Football Club.”Manchester City FC
    First half facts and figures
Manchester City have had just one attempt at goal in a first half where they were outplayed and outpassed by their Premier League rivals.

    Half-time – Man City 0-3 Liverpool
Michael Oliver calls time on an extraordinary 45 minutes at Wembley.
    Man City 0-3 Liverpool
45+1. There will be two minutes of additional time at the end of a first half that has been magical for Liverpool, but a disaster for City.
    Man City 0-3 Liverpool
    45. It’s three for Liverpool! It’s two for Sadio Mane! And if there was an element of good fortune about his first, his second is pure class!
The Reds cut City open with some lovely intricate passing outside the 18-yard box with Alexander-Arnold and Thiago at the heart of the play.
The Spanish midfielder then flicks a pass right to Mane, who purposefully executes a sliced volley into the bottom right corner beyond Zack Steffen.
Tremendous stuff from Jurgen Klopp’s men!

Goal! Sadio Mane makes it three!

Full time – Manchester United 3-2 Norwich
The referee blows his whistle, and Ronaldo has led his side to victory.
Norwich made it very difficult for Ralf Rangnick’s men, threatening an equaliser until the very last minute. Norwich were brave, adventurous, and the better side for large periods of the game. Pukki was immense, picking up great positions, and linking with other players well. But the brilliance of Manchester United’s number 7 keeps their hopes of a top four finish alive.
    Manchester United 3-2 Norwich
90+4, Gilmour loses concentration at the vital moment and lets the ball run under him and out for a throw-in. One minute for the home side to hold on.
    Manchester United 3-2 Norwich
90+3, Giannoulis takes out Fernandes and United have the opportunity to run down the clock.
Mata then commits a foul, and Norwich can have one lat roll of the dice.

    Manchester United 3-2 Norwich
90, The board goes up for five added minutes. You can feel the tension inside the stadium.
    Manchester United 3-2 Norwich
88, Placheta gets into a great position in the 18-yard-box, but wants to get on to his left. Dalot slides in before the Norwich substitute slips over the ball.
    Manchester United 3-2 Norwich
87, United give away a silly foul, and Norwich flood the penalty area.
United get it clear though, and Mata brings them out.
    Manchester United 3-2 Norwich
85, Rashford breezes past his man and shapes to shoot, but instead rolls it into Fernandes. McLean was running back to intercept.
    Manchester United 3-2 Norwich
84, Norwich waste a good opportunity.
Placheta had options running forward, but couldn’t decide and just kept running, allowing Manchester United to get bodies back.
    Manchester United 3-2 Norwich
82, Fernandes drives in field and strikes a fierce effort on goal.
Krul unorthodoxly blocks the effort with his knee, and it’s out for a corner.
Ronaldo is able to bring it down before turning and hitting one, but Norwich get a body in the way.
Manchester United 3-2 Norwich – Norwich change
82, Lees Melou is off, Rowe is on.
    Manchester United 3-2 Norwich
80, A lack of communication at the back and Manchester United are almost gifted a fourth.
The ball rolls back to Krul, but he hesitates and Fernandes almost finds Sancho who would have had an open goal if it wasn’t for a timely interception by Gibson.
    Manchester United 3-2 Norwich
77, Lees Melou lets fly on the volley. It’s a dipping effort, but won’t trouble De Gea.
    Manchester United 3-2 Norwich
That is out of this world.
The 37-year-old fired it through through the wall and in off the post.
On the replays Krul looks to get a hand to it, but the ball has too much pace on it.
Ronaldo has his hat-trick, Manchester United have their lead restored.

    GOAL! Manchester United 3-2 Norwich
75, Oh my word!!! Ronaldo has smashed it in off the post from the free kick!
    Manchester United 2-2 Norwich
74, Elangala is dragged to the floor, and Manchester United, sorry Ronaldo, has a free kick.
Manchester United 2-2 Norwich – Manchester United substitutions
Pogba and Telles’ games are up, and Mata and Rashford are on to help rescue their team.
Manchester United 2-2 Norwich – Norwich double change
McLean and goalscorer, Dowell are off. Gilmour and Placheta are on in their place.
    Manchester United 2-2 Norwich
71, Matic spots Ronaldo on the move and floats it in to him, but the forward can’t bring it under control.
    Manchester United 2-2 Norwich
69, Normann plays a precise pass into Rashica who is given space to take a touch and shoot, but Lindelof gets a foot in and it’s out for a corner.
Norwich deliver and Byram was arriving late and attacks the header well, but it’s got far too much pace on it, and flies over the bar.
    Manchester United living very dangerously.
    Manchester United 2-2 Norwich
67, It is end to end, now.
Dowell gets into a good position but takes a heavy touch. Sancho then drives forward at the other end, but Fernandes is bullied off the ball. Neither side able to cash in at the moment, but you feel a big chance isn’t far away.
    Manchester United 2-2 Norwich
65, Matic straight into the action. He plays a speculative ball forward to Ronaldo, but Hanley doesn’t deal with it. Fernandes picks it up and drives int the area, but one touch too many stops him getting a shot away as the ball rolls through for Krul.
Rashica then gets up the other end and curls one in for Pukki on the stretch, but it’s just ahead of him.
Manchester United 2-2 Norwich – Manchester United change
63, Lingard’s night comes to an end, and Matic is on for the home side.
    Manchester United 2-2 Norwich
62, Fernandes carelessly plays the ball across the park, and Dowell intercepts. The number 10 spots De Gea off his line and attempts an audacious chip, but it’s got just too much on it.

Xhaka chips the ball into the Southampton box.
    Pepe shoots wide of goal.

    69. It looks like Nicolas Pepe is warming up to come on.
Tavares is coming off for him.
    Tactical changes made from Arteta.
    Southampton 1-0 Arsenal
    67. The Gunners are still dominating with 72% possession.
This will not bother The Saints with the goal lead still.
Tavares puts in a cross but Forster collects.
Southampton 1-0 Arsenal – Saka goes close!
    65. Saka bursts forward again looking to make something happen.
This time the Arsenal youngster looks to shoot himself.

    Southampton 1-0 Arsenal

    Southampton 1-0 Arsenal

Xhaka puts in the cross for Arsenal and finds Martinelli.
He heads the ball but it is a terrible effort and nowhere near goal.

Poor clearance by the goalscorer Bednarek.
Martinelli goes for goal with a volley but it is well over.

    57. Rough tackle from Armando Broja on Ben White.
The referee has no choice but to book the Southampton striker.
    Broja has no arguments there.
    Southampton 1-0 Arsenal
    55. Cedric puts a cross in for Arsenal.
The ball deflects behind the Southampton defence but Fraser Forster comes rushing out to collect.
Routine save for the Southampton stopper.

Carrington protests, Ten Hag wants Bergwijn as first transfer, Norwich build-up, Man Utd ‘had Mbappe contract drawn up’

ERIK TEN HAG is reportedly interested in signing Tottenham winger Steven Bergwijn when he takes over at Manchester United. The Dutchman, 52, is on the verge of putting pen to paper at Old Trafford and he is hoping to completely transform the squad.
Manchester United fans also managed to storm the training ground, hold banners and light flares in protest at the ownership of the controversial Glazer family.
But the Red Devils squad could have looked very different this season, as reports suggest United had a contract offer prepared for Kylian Mbappe before he declared his intention to join Real Madrid.
It is also claimed that PSG had agreed a deal to sign Marcus Rashford in the event that Mbappe agreed a switch to Spain last summer.

    More from Tadic
Ajax star Dusan Tadic added that Manchester United incoming manager Erik ten Hag is “tactically” the best.
Ten Hag is the absolute favourite to take over at the United helm.
Ajax star Dusan Tadic added: “Tactically, Erik ten Hag is the best.
“You will know what to do when you are on the pitch all the time”
    Tadic on Ten Hag
Ajax star Dusan Tadic reckons Manchester United are getting one of the best coaches on the planet in Erik ten Hag.
Tadic said: “No doubt Ten Hag is one of the best coaches in the world.
“He’s not just showing that this season, he’s shown it for years.
“He is tactically two steps ahead of every opponent.
“He knows exactly what every game needs in order to win. He is amazing really”

    Man Utd list
Manchester United reportedly picked Ajax manager Erik ten Hag from an EIGHT-MAN shortlist but avoided Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino out of fear Real Madrid would pinch him.
That is according to ESPN, who report that United were also keen on Leicester’s Brendan Rodgers.
Spain boss Luis Enrique and Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui were also on the shortlist.
Other candidates included Bayern Munich’s Julian Nagelsmann, Chelsea’s Thomas Tuchel and former Real Madrid tactician Zinedine Zidane
    Erik ten Nag
Ajax boss Erik ten Hag stunned Manchester United into giving him the manager’s job following a brutal assessment of the club.
United technical director Darren Fletcher and football director John Murtough flew to Amsterdam last month to interview Ten Hag.
Only now can SunSport reveal the incredible detail of that meeting as the straight-talking Dutchman gave the Red Devils chiefs a no-holds-barred dressing down.
Both Fletcher and Murtough flew back to Manchester in complete shock after Ten Hag laid bare exactly what he feels is wrong with the team.
One high-placed Old Trafford source said: “It was like United were being interviewed by Ten Hag rather than the other way round.”
Ten Hag is said to have “ripped the United set-up apart” criticising mainly the club’s scouting and recruitment policy
    The latest Nuz
Benfica star Darwin Nunez has been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer.
However, the striker insists he doesn’t know what the future holds for him.
Nunez recently said: “I really don’t know what’s gonna happen.
“But I’m not gonna speak about my future before the end of the season.
    Matic to leave
Manchester United ace Nemanja Matic has announced he will leave the club at the end of the season.
Matic posted on Instagram: “After a great deal of thought, I have decided that this season will be my last with Manchester United. I have informed the board, the manager and the players of my decision.
“It has been a huge honour and a privilege to play for this great club. A big thank you to the fans for their unwavering support.
“I will now give everything until the end of the season to help my team-mates finish as strongly as possible”

    Max Aarons interest
Manchester United are keeping tabs on Norwich ace Max Aarons, writes SunSport‘s PHIL CADDEN.
Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are also monitoring Aarons.
The full-back has two years left on his deal with the Premier League strugglers.
But with the 22-year-old’s side facing an uphill fight to remain in the top flight, this could be the time for them to cash in.
Barcelona and Roma have also previously been interested in the England Under-21 international, valued in the region of £20million.
United are assessing their right-back options after Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s patchy form, while Aarons also fits the Gunners’ new blueprint of signing young English stars
    More from Chadwick
Chadwick added: “The manager will be the main man, of course, and he’ll be judged on results.
“But hopefully he’ll be able to bring his own environment and culture to the club and help improve these failing players.
“McClaren makes sense as someone who could be a good link between the manager and the players”

    Bring back Mac
Incoming Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag should bring Steve McClaren back with him, according to former player Luke Chadwick.
Chadwick told Caught Offside: “Steve was at Manchester United when I was there, and he was a fantastic coach,
“He was at the club for one of the most successful periods, he knows the club well and worked under Sir Alex Ferguson for that Treble-winning season.
“He’s a guy with great experience, he’s worked abroad as well with Ten Hag at Twente, and he was at United in a really successful time, so he’s someone who could be ideal to support the new manager”
    In for the Kyl
Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe and Manchester United ace Marcus Rashford came close to a sensational transfer swap last summer before the former snubbed the deal.
While Rashford had agreed terms with PSG for a move, United ultimately pulled out of the deal.
That was when Mbappe revealed his intention to join Real Madrid instead.
According to Fabrice Hawkins, the Red Devils even had a contract proposal for the France international ready on the table
    Top quality Wijn
Tottenham ace Steven Bergwijn is reportedly incoming Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag’s top target.
Ten Hag tried to sign Bergwijn for his current team Ajax back in January but he ended up staying at Spurs.
And according to the Mail, the 24-year-old is still a name the Dutchman remains interested in as he is closing in on a move to United.
But the Red Devils have found Tottenham notoriously difficult to deal with over the years, ever since they signed Dimitar Berbatov back in 2008
    Carrington protests reminder
A group of Manchester United fans gathered outside the club’s Carrington training base to protest against the Glazer family’s ownership.
Supporters converged and let off red flags while holding up banners calling for the controversial chiefs to leave United.
Further demonstrations are also being planned for Saturday’s match against Norwich.
A United supporter group called ‘The 1958’ are rallying fans to make their feelings heard during the weekend.
Following a march, they plan to stand outside the stadium for the first 17 minutes of the clash with the Canaries – to mark the number of years the Glazers have owned the Red Devils

    Cavani is Nunez’s “idol”
Darwin Nunez has sparked hopes he could move to Manchester United after calling Edinson Cavani his “idol”.
Fabrizio Romano quoted Nunez as saying: “I really don’t know what’s gonna happen.
“But I’m not gonna speak about my future before the end of the season,” before making his comment on Cavani.
Ironically, he could replace his countryman Cavani at Old Trafford.
The veteran is expected to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the year, so a new striker is needed especially with their struggles up front this season.
Henderson caught up in Carrington protests
Manchester United goalkeeper was caught up in the fan protest that was held outside Carrington this afternoon.
The protest was peaceful but a few supporters did express their frustration to substitute goalkeeper Henderson.
He was stuck in his car in a queue of traffic stopped temporarily by security as police tried to clear the protest.
Further protests are also expected before and during tomorrow’s Premier League clash against Norwich.
    Seven games to go
Manchester United are currently six points adrift of fourth-placed Tottenham, with seven games left to play this season.
Here’s a look at the run-in for Ralf Rangick’s side.
Can the Red Devils make up six points in just seven games?
Defeat to Everton last week following dropped points at home to Leicester has certainly made it a mammoth task.

Man Utd likely XI vs Norwich
With Luke Shaw, Fred, Scott McTominay, Edinson Cavani and Raphael Varane all ruled out with injury, here’s how Manchester United could start tomorrow’s clash with Norwich.

    Martial set for United return
Manchester United outcast Anthony Martial has revealed he plans to return to Old Trafford in the summer.
Currently on loan at Sevilla, the club are not thought to want to keep the Frenchman beyond the summer.
And Martial told ABC Sevilla: “I see it very complicated to be able to continue at Sevilla. I’m not worried about that right now. I
“I came knowing that it would be six months and then I would surely have to return to Manchester United.
“I’m very happy with the experience of playing in a new club, as big as Sevilla and having minutes again.
“If we manage to be a top four team, we will have achieved the goal and I will be happy for the fans, who have been very good to me since I arrived.”

    Rangnick provides Varane update
Interim boss Ralf Rangick expects Raphael Varane to be back in action against either Liverpool or Arsenal.
The defender missed last week’s defeat against Everton after picking up yet another knock, and is also sidelined for tomorrow’s clash with Norwich.
But Rangick is hopeful he will be back for either the mouthwatering clash against Liverpool on Tuesday, or the trip to Arsenal a week tomorrow.
He said: “I think probably with Raphael Varane he’s the one who can hopefully can back for at least one of the next two games against Liverpool or Arsenal.
“With the others, I don’t see them coming back within the next couple of days.”
    Enzo Fernandez impresses Utd scouts
Erik ten Hag has been tipped to sign River Plate midfielder Enzo Fernandez after Manchester United scouts watched him in action.
Argentinian outlet Ole claim Red Devils representatives were left impressed by the 21-year-old after he scored in a 2-0 win over Fortaleza on Wednesday evening.
And Ten Hag is claimed to have been given the green light to make a move for Fernandez when he inevitably joins up with the club.
He is under contract at River Plate until 2025, but has a release clause of just £16million, that rises to £20m in the latter stages of the upcoming transfer window.
Reports suggest initial discussions have been held between United and Fernandez’s representatives, with no official offer as of yet.
The club may have to move fast though, with Real Madrid also claimed to have held discussions regarding a move, and Manchester City also interested in his signature.

    Tadic hoping Ten Hag stays
Ajax captain Dusan Tadic has lauded Erik ten Hag, and revealed his desire for the Dutchman to stay at the club.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s Dutch Cup final Tadic said: “I hope he stays, he is a great trainer. One of the best in the world.”
Tadic did concede Ten Hag would “fit well” in the Premier League.
The former Southampton man also added: “He is so well informed about our opponents and always knows exactly what a game requires.
“Tactically he thinks two steps ahead of the opponent. You will know what to do when you are on the pitch.
“It is a pleasure to work with him. It is logical that there is interest for the trainer and players of Ajax. That will always be the case.”

Shaw set for spell on sidelines
Luke Shaw is likely to miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on his leg.
The left-back has had metal bolts removed that were initially put there following his horror leg-break back in 2015.
Shaw was subbed off against Leicester after feeling pain in his leg, and also missed last week’s match against Everton.
And Rangick admitted it will be “difficult” for Shaw to play again this campaign.
He said: “As it seems, he will be out for another at least four weeks, if not five weeks, so I think for him it will be difficult to be available for one of the remaining seven games.”
    Five out injured for Norwich
Manchester United will be without FIVE players for Saturday’s clash against Norwich at Old Trafford.
Luke Shaw, Raphael Varane, Scott McTominay and Edinson Cavani remain sidelined after all missing last week’s match against Everton.
And now midfielder Fred has also been added to the list after he limped off against Goodison Park.
Ralf Rangick also revealed Shaw could now be out for the season after undergoing surgery on his leg.
    Rangnick “understands” fan anger
Ralf Rangick says he sympathises with protesters after the Carrington Training Ground was stormed, writes NEIL CUSTIS.
Around 30 disgruntled fans marched past a security barrier and got to the main gates of the facility.
They are unhappy at the Glazer’s ownership of the club and recent results.
Rangnick said: “We all know football is a game of passion and emotions, we can all understand, I can understand our supporters are disappointed with our standing in the table and the performance we showed at Everton, at least after we conceded that first goal.
“But I still believe our supporters are one of the best if not the best in England and as long as they do that protest in a peaceful way and support the team in the stadium, they have a right to express their opinion… I can understand they are disappointed.”
    Rangnick speaks on Ten Hag
Unsurprisingly, Erik Ten Hag was on the agenda during Ralf Rangick’s pre-Norwich press conference.
But the United interim boss remained coy on the latest news regarding the Dutchman verbally agreeing to join the club.
Rangnick said: “I don’t know if it’s a done deal. My reply is the same as Erik Ten Hag’s was. My focus is on the game tomorrow.”
He added: “We all know he is a good manager, that he has done a good job at Ajax and also at former clubs, but right now it doesn’t make sense to tell you what I think about any other coach.”
