      CHELSEA’S takeover by Todd Boehly has been completed.And that means sanctions on the club are set to be lifted and the Blues’ summer transfer business can begin.
      However, the first deal for the Blues could be a departure, with mega signing from last summer Romelu Lukaku is pushing for a move out of the club according to reports.
      The Belgian’s lawyer is said to be travelling to Milan to negotiate with former club Inter.
      Meanwhile, Ousmane Dembele could be the first incoming of the Todd Boehly area despite rivals Liverpool eyeing a move for him.
      And RB Leipzig ace Christopher Nkunku has revealed that he is delighted with all the big clubs keeping tabs on him which is good news for Chelsea as they are reportedly one of those teams.

      kunku speaks about future
      Christopher Nkunku has spoken about his future, amidst links to Man Utd, Chelsea and PSG.
      The Leipzig midfielder, currently on international duty with France, said: “Paris, I’ve always said it, it’s my home, my heart club.
      “I don’t close any doors. Everything is possible in football.
      “It’s flattering to have the biggest clubs in the world interested in me. But it’s also flattering that Leipzig is doing everything to keep me.
      “We are in June, and I am focused on this gathering.”
      Boehly completes takeover
      Todd Boehly’s takeover of Chelsea is officially complete.
      The American takes ownership from controversial former owner Roman Abramovich, who was sanctioned by the UK government over his ties to Russian president Vladimir Putin.
      Boehly said: “We are honoured to become the new custodians of Chelsea Football Club.
      “We’re all in – 100% — every minute of every match. Our vision as owners is clear: we want to make the fans proud.
      “Along with our commitment to developing the youth squad and acquiring the best talent, our plan of action is to invest in the Club for the long-term and build on Chelsea’s remarkable history of success.
      “I personally want to thank ministers and officials in the British government, and the Premier League, for all their work in making this happen.”
      The consortium also includes Hansjörg Wyss, founder of the Wyss Foundation, and Mark Walter, co-founder and CEO of Guggenheim Capital.

      Romelu Lukaku to leave on loan
      Romelu Lukaku could return to Inter Milan on loan this summer, according to reports.
      The Chelsea striker has endured an underwhelming spell since returning to Stamford Bridge for £97.5million last summer.
      Lukaku, 29, revealed in an explosive interview that he regrets the manner of his Inter exit… and that he hopes to return in future.
      And according to reports in Italy, the Belgian may get his wish this summer.
      Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Lukaku and Inter are both hoping to reach an agreement with Chelsea for the striker to return to San Siro.
      They add that in a meeting between Inter bosses last week, Lukaku’s name came up as a potential target.

      Chelsea may face competition from Barcelona in the race to sign Jules Kounde, according to reports in Spain.
      Mundo Deportivo say Barca boss Xavi views the 23-year-old Sevilla star as a potential solution to his team’s defensive shortages.
      Mundo’s report explains the Catalans’ good relationship with Sevilla may give them the edge in securing Kounde’s services.
      It says Kounde would be the ‘icing on the cake for Xavi’ and he is the ‘signing in defense that the coach is most excited about’.

      1 – DECLAN RICE

      4 – CHRISTOPHER NKUNKU
      The Blues are reportedly ready to enter the race for rumoured Man United target Christopher Nkunku.
      Former PSG academy kid Nkunku enjoyed a stunning season at RB Leipzig, scoring 34 goals and laying on 20 assists from attacking midfield.
      The 24-year-old will cost a pretty penny, having been rated at £84million in some quarters.

      Arsenal are set to launch their new 2022/23 black kit on Wednesday, 20th July in Orlando, according to Arsenal Fixture News.

      Rags to riches
      Huddersfield Town’s Sorba Thomas has experienced an incredible turnaround over the past two years.
      16 months ago, he was working 13-hour shifts on scaffolding sites while also turning out for non-league side Boreham Wood.
      But in January 2021 he signed his first professional deal with Huddersfield.
      He has likened the sensational transition to a blockbuster movie, and believes his rags to riches tale could earn a place on the big screen.
      He joked: “I feel like I’m living in a movie right now and If they ever make a film of this story then I’d like Will Smith to play me!
       “I worked for a year at a sports shop in Oxford Circus selling footy boots and then moved into the scaffolding trade with regular 6am starts in freezing conditions. I didn’t enjoy it at all and it doubled my determination to make it as a footballer but I wouldn’t change a thing because it’s all part of my journey.”

      Huddersfield’s road to Wembley
      The Terriers kicked off their 2021/22 campaign with a 1-1 draw with now-relegated Derby County on the opening day of the season.
      A week later they were subject to a 5-1 defeat to Fulham which sparked a resurgence as Corberan’s side went on to win their next three consecutive games.
      By the end of 2021, the Terriers were in the play-off positions but faced fierce competition from the likes of Middlesbrough, West Brom and Nottingham Forest.
      Then 2022 arrived – and so did a consistent run of form.
      Huddersfield only lost two of the 20 Championship games they played in 2022. This superb feat saw them finish third in the table.
      Things only got better as the play-offs came around.
      The Terriers were put up against underdogs Luton Town. The Hatters put up an impressive fight, but ultimately Corberan’s team were too much to handle, and Huddersfield scraped through with a 2-1 win on aggregate.
      Nottingham Forest’s road to Wembley
      It would be fair to say that Steve Cooper’s turnaround of Nottingham Forest this season has been nothing short of remarkable.
      In September he took over a team that was rock bottom of the Championship table and put them in seventh place by the time Christmas came around.
      Cooper instilled a new level of confidence into the squad and encouraged better possession-based play.
      His efforts led the side to finish fourth in the Championship table, comfortably in the play-off places.
      Forest narrowly edged past Sheffield United in the semi-finals to earn a deserved place in the final at Wembley.
      Along the way, Cooper and his team stunned Arsenal, Leicester City and Huddersfield Town to progress to the FA Cup quarter-final where they were narrowly defeated by Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
      It has been a season to remember for the Reds, and earning that all-important place in the Premier League would be the icing on the cake.

      When speaking to NottinghamshireLive ahead of the game, Cooper said:
      “If there was one way of playing well and winning at Wembley, we’d all be doing it. But unfortunately nobody has found that way yet.
      “What I do know is, we are the club and the team that we are. We are very proud of it and we believe in what we’re doing, so let’s take it to Wembley and try to do our thing.
      “We are at this final, in this magnificent stadium, in this high-pressured game because we have done things a certain way.
      “We have to continue as much as we can with that, while understanding the context of the game.
      “But it’s really important for the players to realise we are in this position because of doing what we’ve done, and that’s committing to a way of playing and a way of working.
      “Let’s try to be the best version of that possible, because that will give us the best chance of winning.
      “The mood in training has been really good. We’ve stuck to the schedule we planned a while ago, and we’ve stuck to the work-load.
      “You’re always tweaking some stuff from a day to day basis – that’s just normal operational stuff. But there’s been no real surprises for the players.
      “Within that, there’s been a really positive attitude and atmosphere. But also very focused.”

      “The first game we played against them they were under another coach and they played 4-3-3, but they’ve since gone to a line of three.

      Crystal Palace are reportedly set to beat Manchester United and Tottenham in the race to sign goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.
      The Evening Standard claim that the West Brom stopper, who’s contract expires this summer, is in advanced talks with the Eagles.
      Johnstone, 29, has been capped by England three times and was keen on a move back to the Premier League after spending last year in the Championship.
      Man Utd were considering a move for Johnstone to play second fiddle to David De Gea due to Dean Henderson supposedly heading to Newcastle.
      Neville speaks on McClaren
      Gary Neville has backed Steve McClaren to be successful as a coach at Man United.
      Neville told the club’s website: “I think Ten Hag comes as a successful coach, a coach that’s won, a coach that’s got belief and knows how to build an idea.
      “I think he does need someone alongside him on the side of the pitch that can tell him about different stadiums, referees, different things that happen culturally in England around matches.
      “Steve McClaren’s got vast experience, not just at Manchester United but obviously in English football.”
      Just give us a Koul
      Barcelona have reportedly put Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly at the top of their defensive wishlist.
      Koulibaly is yet to sign a new contract with Napoli despite the club’s best efforts.
      And the Serie A side are willing to sell the centre-back to avoid letting him go for free next summer, according to Sport.
      Napoli will take £25m for Koulibaly, a price that could prompt Barca to make a swoop for him, the report added.
      Man United are also keeping tabs on Koulibaly.
      Diallo set for United return
      Man United ace Amad Diallo is set to return to Old Trafford this summer.
      He has been on loan with Rangers since January, but his time at the Ibrox won’t extend beyond the summer.
      Diallo wished the club farewell on social media, and said: “Thanks guys it was a pleasure to be part of your beautiful trip…wish you all the best.
      Lingard gets fit before exit
      Jesse Lingard is hard at work in the gym ahead of his Manchester United exit this summer.
      The 29-year-old worked up a sweat as he pumped weights in anticipation of his next move.
      There is interest in his services both from the Premier League and abroad.
      In the meantime Lingard is making sure he keeps himself in tip-top shape ahead of his next move.

      Christian Eriksen snubbed Man United
      Christian Eriksen snubbed Manchester United over a promise made to Tottenham owner Daniel Levy in 2017, according to reports.
      The Daily Mail claimed the Dane’s agent Martin Schoots passed on the vow that he would not join another London club out of respect to Spurs.
      And Eriksen, now 30, apparently extended his promise to all English clubs when United’s interest came out.
      Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was hoping to secure an £80million deal for the playmaker but failed to land his man.
      Kante set to leave for cut-price
      Chelsea are set to let N’Golo Kante leave for a cut-price fee this summer amid interest from Man United, reports claim.
      His contract is up at the end of next season, and Blues boss Thomas Tuchel wants to switch up his midfield, The Athletic reported.
      And he’s willing to let Kante go for a reduced fee to do so, the report added.

      Marcos Alonso’s move from Chelsea is nearly complete, according to reports.
      The Spanish defender is set for Barcelona, say Diario SPORT.
      They Tweeted: ‘Negotiations between Barcelona and Chelsea for the signing of Marcos Alonso are at an advanced stage.
      “It would be a financially beneficial operation for Barça, a transfer fee with variables that would be fulfilled with objectives.”
      Mount on Champions League final
      Mason Mount is unsure on who will win the Champions League final.
      And he also admitted he wished the Blues were participating in the spectacle.
      He said to Sky Sports: “I’m not sure [how it will go]. Obviously it’s a top game, two top teams, so I’m very, very excited to watch.
      “I wish we [Chelsea] were there but it will be a good game, we will see.”

      Romelu Lukaku is reportedly desperate for a return to Inter Milan, and will do anything to make it happen.
      The Belgian is open to taking a pay-cut to play at the San Siro next season, according to Tuttosport.
      Inter can afford to pay him just half of his current £12.7m salary which works out to be £5.9m, the report adds.

      Mason Mount is excited to begin work with Chelsea’s new owner Todd Boehly.
      The Blues had a topsy turvy season amid their ownership woes, but Mount is optimistic that the club will return to winning ways with Boehly.

      GET READY ladies and gents – the Monaco Grand Prix is finally here. Charles Leclerc starts on pole position ahead of today’s race in what turned out to be a chaotic qualifying.
      The Ferrari star took advantage of a dramatic crash involving Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen at the final turn of the circuit.
      Whilst Lewis Hamilton had another poor day at the office as the seven-time world champion finished way down in eighth.

      Alonso holding off Hamilton
      The answer to the previous post is no.
      Fernando Alonso has actually managed to gain four-tenths on Lewis Hamilton in the last lap.
      DRS now enabled
      DRS has been enabled now, for the first time since the restart.
      That will help Lewis Hamilton, who is less than four-tenths of a second behind Fernando Alonso.
      Will he get him on the next lap?
      Just over 30 mins on clock
      There are 33 minutes left on the two-hour race clock.
      So that will not be enough to complete a full 77-lap race.
      Sergio Perez remains in P1, a shade under a second ahead of Carlos Sainz.

      But the tight-streets of Monaco are making any potential overtake very difficult indeed.
      He’s less than half a second behind the Spaniard.

      Charles Leclerc LOSES ground on Max Verstappen in P4, on what is a poor restart for the Ferrari man.
      Sergio Perez locks up momentarily but just about manages to recover.

      The cars are back out on the track now led by Sergio Perez, after the safety car of course.
      We’re just moments away from the resumption of the race!
      Will there be drama now the cars have been bunched up together again?
      The prospect of some more rain in the next 30 minutes means there might well be.
      Race to resume at 4.15pm
      Things are going to get back underway at 4.15pm (UK time).
      That will make it a delay of around 20 minutes following that Mick Schumacher accident.

      Mick Schumacher is currently chatting with the race doctor.
      He’s walking freely and appears to be fine as they walk together side-by-side.

      Sergio Perez is leading from Carlos Sainz, ahead of Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc.
      It’s looking like being another Monaco nightmare for hometown hero Leclerc.
      Both Haas’ are out
      Kevin Magnussen and Mick Schumacher have both retired from the race now.
      So after UFC star Conor McGregor said yesterday said he was in Monaco supporting Haas, both of their cars are out.
      A day to forget for the Notorious.
      Yellow flag – Virtual safety car
      Mick Schumacher has ploughed straight into the wall.
      And his car has snapped in HALF.
      He lost control and spun before smashing into the barrier, with the car doing its job of separating to ensure maximum safety.
      This might take some cleaning up.
      Schumacher says over team “I just can’t understand it.”
      Lap 26 – Hamilton now fastest
      George Russell isn’t the fastest man for long.
      That honour has just gone to Lewis Hamilton, who has clear track in front of him.
      He’s eight seconds behind Fernando Alonso.

      He’s up into P5 in Monaco.

      The seven-time world champ is now ahead of the AlphaTauri man as he comes in to the pits.

      Lap 23 – Ferrari double stack
      Ferrari bring in Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc to go onto the hard tyres.
      And Leclerc is fuming about it.
      He’s held up behind his team-mate, and now Sergio Perez is LEADING the Monaco GP.
      Lap 21 – Hamilton battling
      Lewis Hamilton is all over the back of Esteban Ocon.
      Ocon for now is holding firm, as Hamilton asks his team if Ocon is being investigated for his aggressive defence.
      The answer to that is no, for now.
      Lap 19 – Leclerc and Verstappen pit
      The two championship favourites are in to the pits.
      It means Carlos Sainz now leads the Monaco Grand Prix.
      Sainz looks like he’s going to stay out and wait for slicks, instead of going in for the intermediates.
      Lap 18 – Hamilton potential problem
      That’s a close shave for Lewis Hamilton.
      His front wing makes contact with the back of Esteban Ocon, but it looks like he’s escaped any damage.
      Lap 17 – Perez in the pits
      The P3 Sergio Perez is now also in the pits.
      His Red Bull team-mate Max Verstappen is yet to go in.
      Perez comes back out in P5, just behind Lando Norris.
      Lap 16 – Hamilton pits
      Lewis Hamilton is into the pits for the first time.
      He switches from the wets onto the intermediate tyres.
