EXCLUSIVE – Ten Hag watching Mount’s contract situation at Chelsea
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is watching Mason Mount’s contract situation at Chelsea as he considers a shock move for the England star.
Mount has seen contract talks at Stamford Bridge stall following the protracted takeover of the club by Todd Boehly.
And his long-term future in West London is no longer secure.
New United boss Ten Hag is well aware of the 23-year-old’s predicament and United’s interest has already been registered with the player’s camp.

Ten Hag first became aware of Mount’s abilities when he impressed as a teenager on loan with Vitesse Arnheim in Holland.
The Old Trafford chief has tracked his progress closely ever since, and given the chance, it is believed he would jump at the opportunity to try to tempt him to the North West.

But after starting just seven games in LaLiga this season, Hazard has promised Real fans he will finally be back to his best next term.
He made the vow at Real Madrid’s Champions League trophy parade in front of thousands of jubilant fans.

Enrique says the Gunners made a mistake by sacking Emery. He told Genting Casino: “Arsenal made a mistake when they let him go. Emery is a top manager and in England they took the piss too much about how he spoke.
“They were wrong to sack him, but I really believe in Mikel Arteta because what he’s doing with young players is great – even if they did miss out on Champions League.”
    Lenglet available on loan
Barcelona have made defender Clement Lenglet available for a loan transfer this summer.
Sport claim the Frenchman is not part of boss Xavi’s plans for next season.
The news is a boost to Premier league trio Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle, who are all interested.
    Leno wanted in Benfica transfer
Arsenal are trying to negotiate a cut-price deal for goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
SunSport exclusively revealed the Gunners are hoping to scrape together £60million this summer from a fire sale of Emirates outcasts.
And German goalkeeper Leno, 30, is one of seven-players in for the chop at a knockdown price.
Portuguese outfit Benfica are interested but are quibbling over Arsenal’s £8.5million valuation of the stopper.
Aaron Ramsdale’s £30m arrival last summer has restricted Leno to just four Premier League appearances this campaign.
Leno is now deemed surplus to requirements with American goalkeeper Matt Turner set to arrive in the summer as backup to Ramsdale.
    Hammers eye Onana
West Ham could potentially move for Lille midfielder Amadou Onana.
The Hammers are in the market for a midfielder following the exits of Mark Noble and Alex Kral.
Tomas Soucek’s form at times last season was also a cause for concern.
But according to Foot Mercato, West Ham would face competition from Arsenal and Monaco for Onana’s signature.
    Club captaincy still vacant
Arsenal are yet to appoint their next club captain following Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s departure.

White pulls out of England squad
Ben White has withdrawn from the England squad with an injury.
The Arsenal defender was initially named in Gareth Southgate’s 27-man squad for upcoming Nations League matches.
Most of the squad reported for duty today ahead of a busy schedule that features four matches in 11 days.
But White was absent after it was decided that he would be better off continuing his rehabilitation with Arsenal.
The 24-year-old struggled with a hamstring injury towards the end of the Premier League season.
He missed three games in Arsenal’s run-in, including their 3-0 North London derby mauling at Tottenham.
White returned for the 2-0 defeat to Newcastle, during which he scored an own goal, before again sitting out as Mikel Arteta’s side beat Everton on the final day.
Southgate is yet to call up an alternative for White.

Despite being named the London club’s player of the year for a second time, Mount is one of the lowest paid in the squad at Stamford Bridge.
He still has two years left on his £88,000-a-week existing deal.
But the need for the Blues to completely rebuild their defence this summer has seen his contract talks fall down the list of priorities.
Juventus ‘closing in on double free transfer swoop
Juventus are on the brink of signing Paul Pogba AND Angel Di Maria on free transfers – saving a whopping £135million in transfer fees – according to reports in Italy.

Pogba, 29, is also expected to walk away from Manchester United when his deal runs out on June 30.
And Gazzetta dello Sport have claimed Juventus are set to sign BOTH on free transfers with the deals to be completed in the coming days.

The Italian giants, who finished only fourth in Serie A in 2021-22, are desperate to overthrow the two Milan clubs and win their first title since 2019-20.
They are believed to have already offered Pogba a three-year deal worth around £200,000 per week – with the United star’s barber even hinting at a return to the Old Lady.
And they are hopeful of tempting Di Maria into signing on too.
The report claims Juventus hope to announce Pogba as their own player for a second time THIS WEEK.
Mane should consider Munich, says James
Former Liverpool goalkeeper David James thinks that it “makes sense” for Reds striker Sadio Mane to consider leaving Anfield for Bayern Munich.
The 51-year-old reckons not many would “argue against it” as he spoke to GGRecon.
James said: “What’s interesting is the Mane part of the conversation. This is a guy that has won so much and done so well with Liverpool.
“I look at him in a very positive way, this is a guy that has traveled around in his career a little bit, and therefore the idea that he could travel to another country would make sense.
“Having just turned 30, he’s sort of at the height of his powers. He’s been successful with a number of trophies with Liverpool, especially with two trophies this year, and with Senegal, qualifying for the World Cup and winning the Africa Cup of Nations, which is one of the major things he wanted to achieve.
“For any performer you would say, where is my best opportunity for me to make the next move and I would argue that now for Mane it is the right opportunity. It’s nothing against Liverpool. I don’t think many would argue against it.

Elsewhere Newcastle are reportedly ready to smash their transfer record with a £50million bid for Lyon star Lucas Paqueta.

Paqueta has the same agent as fan-favourite Bruno Guimaraes, also signed from Lyon in January.
In attack Newcastle could look to bring in Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby.
It’s claimed Toon have been quoted a price of £40million plus for the French international, but money is no longer a problem to the Saudi-owned outfit.

“When we talk about leaving I’m a little speechless.”

“In my mind, I have had the following list for a long time: Ajax-Arsenal-Barcelona, call it the Marc Overmars route.

    Henderson ‘good choice’ for Newcastle
Jose Enrique reckons Man Utd’s Dean Henderson is a “good choice” for Newcastle.
The Keeper could be available on loan this summer.
Enrique told Genting Casino: I would definitely sign Dean Henderson. I’ve said I like him a lot in the past. He’s a great goalkeeper.
“Dubravka is doing well but Henderson would be a good fit in the long run and Newcastle’s back-ups aren’t good enough at the moment.
“Henderson will be looking for a move too as with the form De Gea is in now, he’s not going to play.”
    Mane Liverpool mistake
Sadio Mane is making a big mistake by leaving Liverpool, says former defender Jose Enrique.
Mane looks set to leave Liverpool this summer, with Bayern Munich believed to be frontrunners.
Enrique told Genting Casino: “I think Liverpool should do everything to keep Mane. He could go to Bayern, yes, but in the end he’ll be happier at Liverpool.
“I believe it’ll be a massive mistake if he leaves and the same goes with Salah too. I don’t think he’s going to be more loved anywhere else than where is at Liverpool.
“He has a lot more to give to Liverpool and people always say they should sell him because he’s 29, but we need experienced players at the club.”
Enrique recommends Aarons, Bowen and Saka
Former Liverpool defender Jose Enrique has told Reds boss Jurgen Klopp to look at Norwich’s Max Aarons, Jarrod Bowen and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka.
He told Genting Casino: “We definitely need a back-up for Trent Alexander-Arnold. Trent will start so we need a younger player to put Trent on his toes.
“Max Aarons from Norwich would be a good player to have. He’s not the quality of Trent but he’s a bit like Tsimikas with a similar style.
“We need a starting number eight. Thiago Alcantara is brilliant but he has injuries every season.
“Keita has the same injury problems, Henderson is getting older so we need a number eight for sure.
“I don’t know too much about the Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni but you look at Luis Diaz and the recruitment usually gets it right.
“We also need a right winger and I think Jarrod Bowen or Bukayo Saka could be a great shout as they’re both not playing in the Champions League so it’s a big possibility.”

United contact with Watford over keeper
Watford keeper Daniel Bachmann has revealed Manchester United have made an approach for him
The Austrian international said he is honoured by the prospect of becoming David de Gea’s understudy at Old Trafford next season.
Bachmann, 27, also said he received DEATH THREATS during the season as Watford headed towards relegation from the Premier League.
Former United interim boss Ralf Rangnick, who has now left to coach Austria’s national side, is thought to have been behind the move for the keeper.
Bachmann said: “There has been contact with Manchester United.  It hasn’t just fallen out of the sky. I don’t know whether the team boss [Rangnick] has a say in transfer matters.
“Several clubs have shown interest in me – but the most intensive contacts have come from Manchester. It is a massive honour for a club like that to be interested in you.
“I would be second choice behind David de Gea, who has been one of the Premier League’s best keepers for years.
“But anything can happen in football.  The performance principle applies. As a result, even big stars can sit on the subs’ bench.”
    Bale standing ovation
Gareth Bale received a standing ovation in his final act as a Real Madrid player.
The Welshman was introduced to the Bernabeu crowd for the last time as part of Real’s Champions League final victory parade celebrations in Madrid on Sunday night.
Many expected jeers for Bale because he was booed by Real fans on his previous appearance in the Spanish capital against Getafe on April 9.
But the five-time Champions League winner, who was an unused substitute against Liverpool, finally earned the respect from the Bernabeu faithful as he was cheered after being called to the podium in the centre of the pitch.
In response, Bale applauded the fans back in a rare sign of affection between the two.
Bale leaves the 14-time European champions when his contract expires next month on a high after a glittering nine years since leaving Tottenham for £86million back in 2013.
Winks wanted in shock Sevilla transfer
Sevilla are considering joining the race to sign Spurs star Harry Winks.
Tottenham have told the 26-year-old midfielder he can leave this summer as he is not essential to boss Antonio Conte’s plans.
The Spurs academy product, who has ten England caps, is valued at about £20million.
La Liga giants Sevilla would offer playmaker Winks the chance to revive his career in a league that would suit his technical ability.
Fulham and Everton have also been touted as possible destinations if he wants to stay in the Premier League.
Southampton are also interested but the price could be prohibitive as they are prioritising other positions in this summer’s transfer market.
    Boehly completes takeover
Todd Boehly’s takeover of Chelsea is officially complete.
The American takes ownership from controversial former owner Roman Abramovich, who was sanctioned by the UK government over his ties to Russian president Vladimir Putin.
Boehly said: “We are honoured to become the new custodians of Chelsea Football Club.
“We’re all in – 100% — every minute of every match. Our vision as owners is clear: we want to make the fans proud.
“Along with our commitment to developing the youth squad and acquiring the best talent, our plan of action is to invest in the Club for the long-term and build on Chelsea’s remarkable history of success.
“I personally want to thank ministers and officials in the British government, and the Premier League, for all their work in making this happen.”
The consortium also includes Hansjörg Wyss, founder of the Wyss Foundation, and Mark Walter, co-founder and CEO of Guggenheim Capital.

    Tolisso confirms Bayern exit
Corentin Tolisso has confirmed his exit from Bayern Munich.
The Frenchman will leave at the end of next month when his contract expires.

“I wish the best to @fcbayern for the years to come!”
Man Utd ‘very close’ on Nunez transfer
Erik ten Hag looks set to secure the first signing of his reign at Manchester United with 22-year-old Darwin Nunez, according to reports.
An agreement between United and Benfica is said to be ‘very close’ for the striker according to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo.
The report claims Nunez is a ‘priority’ target for Ten Hag as he tries to find a striker to bolster The Red Devils in attack.
Nunez scored 34 goals in all competitions this season for The Eagles as they came third in the Primeira Liga in Portugal and progressed into the Champions League quarter-finals.
Perhaps the most striking metric Nunez can boast though is his colossal Expected Goals over-performance in the league this season.
Nunez struck 26 times in 28 games from an xG rating of just 15.73, meaning he scored nearly 11 more goals than an average striker would have.
Jose Enrique wants Raphinha for Liverpool
Ex-Liverpool full-back Jose Enrique has stated Raphinha would be an incredible backup option to star Mohamed Salah.
When discussing the Reds line up with bettingexpert, Enrique said: “The other position that will need strengthening, is definitely a backup for Salah.
“I don’t think Salah has a proper backup in that position.
“So for example Raphinha for Leeds would be an incredible option for Liverpool.
“I’m not sure who they are looking for, but Salah needs it as well.
“For example at this time around, when Salah hasn’t been as good, with the AFCON and getting eliminated from the World Cup, the contract situation.
“Then you could have a player, like Raphinha, coming in and pushing him.”
    Lewandsoski announces decision to leave
Robert Lewandowski, 33, has announced that his time at Bayern Munich may be over.
The lethal striker said he DOESN’T want to stay.
Lewandowski said: “My era at Bayern is over. I don’t see any possibility to continue playing for this club anymore.
“Bayern are a serious club and I believe that they will not keep me just because they can.
“I don’t want to play there anymore. A transfer is the best solution. I hope they don’t stop me.”
    Benzema’s Mbappe stance
Karim Benzema has spoken of Kylian Mbappe’s decision to stay at PSG and snub a move to Real Madrid.
The pair could have been strike partners at Los Blancos, had he decided to move to LaLiga.
However, he opted for a mega pay day at PSG worth a reported £300m.
He told Telefoot: “I would have liked him to be able to fulfill his dream of playing for Real Madrid, being together. He chose PSG, we must respect him.
“It is his choice, he has many responsibilities. We will enjoy playing together in the national team. Everyone makes their own decisions.”
    Bellerin to Roma?
Roma are reportedly eyeing up a shock swoop for Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin following his impressive loan spell at Real Betis.
The 27-year-old is facing an uncertain future at the Emirates with the player not believed to be in Mikel Arteta’s plans.
Bellerin is on his way back to North London after his loan at Betis came to an end.
SunSport understands that the player’s £100,000-a-week wages are a major stumbling block in Betis signing him on a permanent deal.
And this has seen Roma eye up a move for the player as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his backline.

According to Calciomercato, Bellerin is seen as someone who could provide competition for Rick Karsdorp.
They claim that Betis’ struggles to bring Bellerin back has seen Roma look to steal a march on Manuel Pellegrini’s side.
Roma are prepared to back the Special One in the market and have promised him defensive reinforcements after he guided them to Europa Conference League glory.
    Neuer’s the GOAT
Bayern Munich bizarrely announced Manuel Neuer’s new contract with the goalkeeper stood next to a goat.
The 36-year-old has extended his contract until the summer of 2024 after another trophy-laden spell with Bayern.

Club captain Neuer guided the team to a tenth-straight Bundesliga title.
On his contract extension, Neuer said: “The journey continues!
“I am delighted to have extended my contract with FC Bayern today until 2024.
“It makes me proud to be part of this club since 2011 and now for two more years.
“My motivation is extremely high to win more titles together with you and the team – especially after the not perfect last season.
“I am ready, because you know: I’ve still got a bit of space left!”
    Happy birthday Eddie Nketiah!

An impressive end to the season from the youngster saw him score five goals in eight games.
The Gunners striker is out of contract this summer, and according to sources, Nketiah and Arsenal have changed their respective stances.

    Gareth Bale transfer odds
Gareth Bale is leaving Real Madrid – and Betfair think he’s heading back to the UK with Cardiff.
Bale collected a winners medal after Saturday’s Champions League success over Liverpool at the Stade de France in Paris.
And that was undoubtedly his last action for Los Blancos after agent Jonathan Barnett confirmed his client would leave the Bernabeu after a turbulent eight-year spell.
The 32-year-old has barely featured this season, making just four starts and three substitute appearances in all competitions.

His departure has been inevitable for months given his contract expires in June.
However, a future in football or early retirement hinges on whether or not Wales qualify for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Barnett recently told Portuguese outlet Record: “Gareth is leaving Real Madrid, but we have to wait for what Wales do. Is it more likely to return to England? I think so, but we’ll have to wait and see if Wales qualify.”
    Betfair odds

    Cardiff – 3/10
    Any MLS Club – 6/1
    Tottenham – 9/1
    Newcastle – 11/1
    Rangers – 16/1
    AC Milan – 16/1

Comment: Rangnick exit ends one of the oddest chapters
While Liverpool and Real Madrid were parading trophies, days after Manchester City had done the same, Manchester United were announcing the severance of all ties with Ralf Rangnick.
And with barely so much as a ‘See you later, innovator’.
Manchester United, surely you remember them? They used to win titles. Even after that, they still topped the Deloitte Football Money League.
And they still ‘do great numbers’ on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
In the actual football, not so much. Under Rangnick, United finished with six successive away defeats, an overall goal difference of zero and conceded a 35-point deficit to champions City.
When Rangnick was appointed interim manager in November, United’s ‘football director’ John Murtough heralded him as “one of the most respected coaches and innovators in European football”.
He also announced that Rangnick would take up a two-year consultancy after his caretaking was complete.
That consultancy role has now been scrapped, with Rangnick taking over Austria’s national job.
Instead, we’re told Rangnick held a two-hour ‘handover’ conversation on the phone with his successor, Erik ten Hag.
    Dybala fight
Jose Mourinho is reportedly looking to get one over Manchester United by beating his old club to Paulo Dybala.
TyC Sports claims The Special One has made contact with Juventus’ out-of-contract forward about a free transfer to Roma.
Dybala’s seven-year stint in Turin comes to an end next month.
And the Argentina international, 28, has been flooded with offers from the Premier League.
New Man United boss Erik ten Hag is thought to be a huge fan.
And Spurs boss Antonio Conte also rates Dybala after going up against him at Inter Milan.
Utd’s new 2022-23 away kit leaked
Manchester United’s away kit for the 2022/23 season has reportedly been leaked with fans gushing over the white shirt and black shorts combination.
The Red Devils spent last season wearing a second strip which consisted of a shirt with a geometric blue print and blue shorts.
But for the upcoming campaign Man Utd are set to strip things back with a simple kit design.
According to Footy Headlines, their away jersey will be white and accustomed by black shorts and white socks.
The white is a throwback to their away strip in 2015/16 and even their third kit from 2009/10 to 2011/12.

    Ronaldo biggest export
Manchester United’s biggest sale to date remains Cristiano Ronaldo’s 2009 transfer to Real Madrid.

    Boost with Leeds star Raphinha
Raphinha wants to join Leeds’ arch-rivals Manchester United instead of Barcelona, reports claim.
The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Elland Road after playing a mjor role in keeping the Whites up.
Raphinha chipped in with 11 goals and three assists from 35 Premier League games to help Leeds beat the drop on the final game of the campaign.
Should the Yorkshire outfit have been relegated, the ex-Rennes ace would have been available for £21million due to a clause in his contract.
But it is believed that the forward will now cost in excess of £40m following their 2-1 win against Brentford.
The figure hasn’t put off Barcelona, with the Blaugrana still prepared to bring the player to the Nou Camp.
    United wage bill
Cristiano Ronaldo is Man Utd’s highest earner.

United not good enough for Rice, says Johnson
Glen Johnson claims that Declan Rice should only leave West Ham for a team challenging for the Premier League title next season.
The former West Ham defender spoke to Bettingodds about the England international’s future.
Johnson said: “I don’t think that he will end up at Manchester United and no disrespect to Manchester United because it’s a fantastic club and I’m sure they’ll come back and fight for titles in the coming years but City and Liverpool are absolutely miles ahead of anyone at the moment and I’m sure they’d want Declan as well.
“Why would you go to a team that isn’t going to compete for the league next season?
“If he goes to Liverpool or City then he’s going to win something next season. I can’t believe that Manchester United would be his first pick.”
    Man United release Rangnick statement
Man United have also confirmed Rangnick’s departure from the club.
A club statement read: “We would like to thank Ralf Rangnick for his efforts as interim manager over the past six months.
“By mutual agreement, Ralf will now focus solely on his new role as manager of the Austria national team and will not therefore be taking up a consultancy role at Old Trafford.
“We would like to wish Ralf the best of luck in this next chapter of his career.”
    Ronaldo forces training changes
Cristiano Ronaldo has forced changes at Manchester United’s training ground after complaining about the state of its swimming pool, reports claim.
The Portuguese returned to the Red Devils last summer, only to be left shocked by the state of Carrington.
It’s claimed that the 37-year-old couldn’t believe the condition that United’s HQ had been allowed to fall into.
And he reportedly returned feeling that no upgrades had been made since his initially left for Real Madrid in 2009.
According to the Mirror, Ronaldo’s main gripe was with the state of the swimming pools at Carrington.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner complained that “loose, chipped and missing tiles” within the pools were a safety hazard – and refused to use them.
Ronaldo even made sure to have an indoor pool at home in order to still be able to perform water-based drills.
United have taken their No7’s criticisms onboard, and have ordered work to be completed on the pools in order to get them ready for pre-season.
    Tchouameni blow
Aurelien Tchouameni has confessed his love for both Liverpool and Real Madrid – in a blow to Manchester United.
The highly sought-after Frenchman gave his take on both Champions League finalists before they faced off in France.
In what could be seen as a blow to Man United, they were not mentioned as the 22-year-old spoke publicly about his future.
The Monaco midfielder is being chased by the biggest teams in Europe after months of impressive performances.
And when asked about joining either Liverpool or Real Madrid ahead of the Champions League final, he told CNN: “I like both: I can watch Spanish games and English games.
“It’s different to play in Spain and it’s different to play in England, but at the end, for me, it’s just a matter of adaptation.”
Gareth Bale transfer odds – Man Utd at 20/1
Gareth Bale is leaving Real Madrid – and Betfair think he’s heading back to the UK with Cardiff.

    Manchester United – 20/1

Ronaldo SURPASSED expectations this season, says Berbatov
Dimitar Berbatov says the “stats prove” Cristiano Ronaldo was a success at Manchester United this season – despite the club’s disappointing campaign, writes James Colasanti.
The Portugal striker still bagged 24 goals for United in all competitions – 18 in the league – and almost single-handedly dragged the club into the knock-out stages of the Champions League.
And his former Red Devils striker partner Berbatov says – taking everything into account – 37-year-old Ronaldo’s return can only be viewed as a success.

The retired Bulgaria forward, 41, told Betfair: “I have been asked a lot of times about him, and every time I have said the same thing.
“He is bringing goals, bringing experience, helping the young talent and knowing just how to play the game.
“He is also smart about the way he plays and what he brings to the table.
“It doesn’t matter how old he is and he has proven that.
“He is playing in the Premier League — the best league in the world — and he has scored 24 goals overall at 37-years-old. Come on – the guy is unbelievable.”
Raphinha wants to join Man Utd, according to reports
Raphinha wants to join Leeds’ arch-rivals Manchester United instead of Barcelona, reports claim.
The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Elland Road after playing a mjor role in keeping the Whites up.
Raphinha chipped in with 11 goals and three assists from 35 Premier League games to help Leeds beat the drop on the final game of the campaign.
It is believed that the forward will now cost in excess of £40m following their 2-1 win against Brentford.

And according to the Daily Express, Raphinha may favour a switch to Old Trafford should he decide to depart Leeds.
They claim that Bruno Fernandes could be key in Raphinha’s decision, with the pair playing together for a year at Sporting Lisbon.
Raphinha opened up on their excellent relationship last year during an article he wrote for The Players’ Tribune.
    Southgate on Man United pair
Man United duo Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho must win over new manager Erik ten Hag quickly in order to keep their World Cup dreams alive.
That is the message from Gareth Southgate, who has left the pair out of his England squad again.
Asked if the forwards still had a chance of forcing their way back in, Southgate said: “They do because I think there’s enough of a block of games at the beginning of next season that people can still play their way in.
“Of course it’s more difficult — you know, the closer we get, the more difficult it is.
“But they’ve got to start playing well with their club. Neither of them have really played at the end of the season.
England is a consequence of what you’re doing at your club and you’ve got to get your club bit right.
“Compared to others in those positions that we’ve picked, their level hasn’t been at the level of the others.”
    Januzaj and Monreal released
Man Utd and Arsenal cult heroes Adnan Januzaj and Nacho Monreal have been let go by Real Sociedad.
The pair both joined the Spanish club after leaving United and Arsenal in 2017 and 2019 respectively.
According to Fabrizio Romano, both players are being released by Sociedad after their contracts were not renewed.
Monreal, 36, suffered a severe knee injury before the start of the season and consequently missed the entirety of the season.
Meanwhile, Januzaj, 27, played 44 times for Sociedad this season contributing with five goals and three assists in all competitions.
    Rangnick CONFIRMS Man United exit
Ralf Rangnick has revealed he will not be staying with Man United as a consultant.
Rangnick was expected to go upstairs after his stint as United’s interim boss last season and assist new head coach Erik ten Hag.
But Rangnick revealed that he will be leaving the club to focus on his role as Austria’s new manager.
    Morning Man Utd fans
Ralf Rangnick has revealed he will not be staying with Man United as a consultant.
Rangnick was expected to go upstairs after his stint as United’s interim boss last season and assist new head coach Erik ten Hag.
But Rangnick revealed that he will be leaving the club to focus on his role as Austria’s new manager.
New Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is reportedly plotting a double transfer raid of Darwin Nunez and Jurrien Timber.
The Old Trafford chief has already set his sights on fresh talent as he looks to rebuild the team.
Ten Hag is now wasting no time in recruiting talent, with the Mirror reporting that the club has identified two priorities.
Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo has forced changes at Manchester United’s training ground after complaining about the state of its swimming pool, reports claim.
The Portuguese returned to the Red Devils last summer, only to be left shocked by the state of Carrington.
It’s claimed that the 37-year-old couldn’t believe the condition that United’s HQ had been allowed to fall into.
Pogba won’t return because of Allegri
Paul Pogba WILL NOT return to Juventus this summer as he’s afraid to challenge boss Massimiliano Allegri, it’s been claimed.
Pogba played under Allegri at Juve for two years between 2014 and 2016, before sealing a big money move back to Manchester United.
Things haven’t exactly gone to plan for the Frenchman at Old Trafford and he’s out of contract at the end of June, opening up the possibility for a return to the Old Lady.
But in an interview with former Italy and Juve star Andrea Barzagli, Allegri has joked that Pogba WILL NOT be returning as he is afraid to challenge him.
On Pogba potentially returning, Allegri laughed: “Pogba is definitely not coming back because he is afraid to challenge me, so he is not coming.
“He thought, then first he lost with his feet and then with his hands and then he left.
“The real reason why he left is this and hardly ever comes back.”
    Rashford to stay
Marcus Rashford will be be staying at Old Trafford, according to French journalist Jacque Talbot.
The England forward has been linked with a move to Arsenal after falling down the pecking order at the club.
However Talbot told GIVEMESPORT: “I’m told Rashford is staying put. There was definite interest from Bayern Munich, who were trying to bring him in.
“I think with Rashford there was interest because he is a big name, he’s still a young talent, but I think his heart is at Manchester United.
“There’s something symbolic about his name and Manchester United and the fact he’s a local lad, so I imagine he’ll be staying.”

Romelu Lukaku to leave on loan
Romelu Lukaku could return to Inter Milan on loan this summer, according to reports.
The Chelsea striker has endured an underwhelming spell since returning to Stamford Bridge for £97.5million last summer.
Lukaku, 29, revealed in an explosive interview that he regrets the manner of his Inter exit… and that he hopes to return in future.
And according to reports in Italy, the Belgian may get his wish this summer.
Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Lukaku and Inter are both hoping to reach an agreement with Chelsea for the striker to return to San Siro.
They add that in a meeting between Inter bosses last week, Lukaku’s name came up as a potential target.
Barcelona may have the edge in signing Kounde, say reports
Chelsea may face competition from Barcelona in the race to sign Jules Kounde, according to reports in Spain.
Mundo Deportivo say Barca boss Xavi views the 23-year-old Sevilla star as a potential solution to his team’s defensive shortages.
Mundo’s report explains the Catalans’ good relationship with Sevilla may give them the edge in securing Kounde’s services.
It says Kounde would be the ‘icing on the cake for Xavi’ and he is the ‘signing in defense that the coach is most excited about’.
It adds the nine-cap France star would allow Xavi to create a ‘powerful axis’ with Araujo in Barca’s defence for important games.
    High five
Chelsea are set for a busy summer after Todd Boehly completed his £4.25bn takeover from Roman Abramovich.
SunSport’s Etienne Fermie walks through five names that Chelsea could land in this transfer window…
    1 – DECLAN RICE
Chelsea retain a long-term interest in Declan Rice, the man they released as a teenager.
The West Ham ace has impressed immensely at London Stadium, but recently turned down an eight-year contract extension.
Tuchel rates Rice highly and would love to recruit the England midfielder – although the Hammers will demand upwards of £100m.

The Blues are reportedly closing in on Ousmane Dembele, with the Frenchman set to become the first signing of the Boehly era.

The winger already has a relationship with Tuchel, having worked successfully with the German at Borussia Dortmund.

    3 – JULES KOUNDE
Chelsea pushed hard to sign Sevilla defender Jules Kounde last summer, although the LaLiga side held firm.
This summer, however, the Frenchman is set to be up for grabs, despite his defensive partner Diego Carlos having already ditched Seville for Aston Villa.
SunSport recently revealed that Kounde is desperate to join Chelsea this summer – and can fill the void left by Rudiger and Christensen’s departures.

    4 – CHRISTOPHER NKUNKU
The Blues are reportedly ready to enter the race for rumoured Man United target Christopher Nkunku.
Former PSG academy kid Nkunku enjoyed a stunning season at RB Leipzig, scoring 34 goals and laying on 20 assists from attacking midfield.
The 24-year-old will cost a pretty penny, having been rated at £84million in some quarters.

    5 – MARC CUCURELLA
Chelsea are interested in signing Brighton wing-back Marc Cucurella.
The Spaniard could be the perfect Alonso replacement, although the Blues will have to battle it out with Man City and Spurs to sign him.
SunSport revealed last week that the Seagulls are set to demand £45m from potential suitors for their blossoming starlet.

    Merson on Chelsea American ties
Chelsea could end up in decline like Arsenal under new American owner Todd Boehly.
That’s according to Paul Merson who reckons American owners treat Prem clubs like toys.
Merson said to the Daily Star: “Chelsea risk ending up like Arsenal unless their new American owners buck a worrying trend.
“It’s a relief for everyone at Stamford Bridge that Todd Boehly’s takeover has gone through and they can finally sign players again.
“But Chelsea is just a toy for them to play with. Look at all the other American owners in the Premier League – their US sports teams all do better than the teams they own over here. Look at Stan Kroenke at Arsenal.”
    Garden of Eden
Eden Hazard banked Chelsea an extra £15million after winning the Champions League with Real Madrid, writes Jack Figg.
Chelsea sold the winger in 2019 for £88.5million but the deal included performance bonuses that could take the fee to £130m.
The Blues have already benefited in the past, earning nearly £20m in 2020 when Real won the LaLiga title and qualified for the Champions League.

But an additional £15m would be added if the Spaniard’s became European champions with Hazard at the club.
And it took only two years for Real to achieve the feat, beating Liverpool 1-0 in the Champions League final.
Hazard, 31, was an unused sub and instead watched as Vinicius Junior, 21, scored the winner just after the hour mark.
    Bremer blow
Chelsea have been dealt a blow in signing Brazilian Gleison Bremer.
The centre back has been extensively watched by Blues scouts at Torino’s games.
But now, Calcio Mercato have reported that Inter Milan have made the aggressive defender a priority this summer.
The Premier League giants are losing Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen from their backline, and are in desperate need of reinforcements at the back.
They have also been linked with a move for RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol.
    Colwill speaks about future
Talented youngster Levi Colwill has sent a message to the Blues over his future at the club.
“For me, playing for Chelsea will always be the main aim right now because it’s my club,” he explained.
“But if that doesn’t happen, well then I have to find other ways to progress and become the player I want to be.”
The 19-year-old centre back has enjoyed a brilliant campaign with Huddersfield Town – playing 30 times in the Championship.
    Alonso ‘agrees’ contract with Barcelona
Marcos Alonso is on the brink of signing for Barcelona, reports claim.
The Chelsea defender has agreed a three-year deal with the Catalan giants, according to Diario SPORT.
Alonso’s Chelsea contract expires next summer, but the Blues are hashing out a low price transfer with Barca, the report added.
Rice could join Chelsea, says Johnson
Glen Johnson spoke to Bettingodds about the potential of Declan Rice heading across London to join Thomas Tuchel’s team.
Johnson said: “On a personal level for him, we know how close he is to Mason Mount, so if Mason Mount commits to a new long-term deal then we know how much of a pull Chelsea will be to Declan.
“It’s another fantastic club and despite the fact they won’t win the league next season, that move may be a lot more appealing to him than Manchester United, if Manchester City or Liverpool don’t get the deal done.”
    Con air
Thomas Tuchel will reportedly hold talks with Conor Gallagher over his Chelsea future amid interest from Crystal Palace, writes Ant Chapman.
The midfielder, 22, enjoyed a stunning loan spell at Selhurst Park this season, scoring eight goals in 34 Premier League appearances.
Gallagher’s fine form resulted in an England debut last year.
And Palace are now eager to sign the ex-Charlton, Swansea and West Brom loanee permanently.
But reports claim Gallagher is “highly rated” by Chelsea boss Tuchel.
And the German wants “direct discussions” with the Cobham product before deciding on his next move.
    Lukaku pushes for exit
Romelu Lukaku is taking matters into his own hands to try and push through a deal to Inter Milan.
The Chelsea ace has started talking directly to the Blues to sort out his exit without the help of an agent, sempreinter reported.
Lukaku hopes he can smooth things over with the Blues to get his transfer to Inter completed, the report added.
    Morning Chelsea fans
Chelsea have been dealt a blow in signing Brazilian Gleison Bremer.
The centre-back has been extensively watched by Blues scouts at Torino’s games.
But now, Calcio Mercato have reported that Inter Milan have made the aggressive defender a priority this summer.
They are set for a £15million windfall though, after Real Madrid won the Champions League.
That’s because ex-Blues star Eden Hazard has a clause in his transfer to Real Madrid that included the lump sum if Los Blancos lifted the European trophy.
And Real’s win over Liverpool means the Blues can now reap the rewards of their tidy business decision.
Meanwhile, talented youngster Levi Colwill has sent a message to the Blues over his future at the club.
“For me, playing for Chelsea will always be the main aim right now because it’s my club,” he explained.

The 19-year-old centre-back has enjoyed a brilliant campaign with Huddersfield Town – playing 30 times in the Championship.
Chelsea’s worst XI of 21st century
Chelsea shot to European prominence following the arrival of Roman Abramovich shortly after the turn of the century.

The Blues have won five Premier League titles and two Champions League crowns in the last 17 years, a sensational return for the club.
However, they have still made seriously poor signings over the past two decades, with Chelsea fan Simon Phillips highlighting what he believes is the worst team made up of those flops.

    Happy birthday Di Matteo
It’s happy birthday to Chelsea legend Roberto Di Matteo.
The Italian ace turns 52 today.
He famously played and managed the Blues in two different spells.
Di Matteo scored the winner in an FA Cup final against Middlesbrough.
While he also managed the club to their first ever Champions League title win.
