      It will also be Boehly and Eghbali’s formal introduction to the other 19 top-flight club representatives.

      Chelsea are reportedly preparing for life without Antonio Rudiger by plotting a move for Kalidou Koulibaly and Matthijs De Ligt.

      A Chelsea statement was issued after the death of kit man Eric Asiedu.
      It read: “It is with great sadness that Chelsea Football Club has learned of the passing of our colleague Eric Asiedu.
      “Eric was a hugely popular figure at our Cobham training ground in his role as Academy kitman, always going about his work with an infectious smile and wonderful positivity. He will be sadly missed by us all and the pain of his sudden passing will be felt by many.
      “Affectionately known as ‘boss’ by players and staff alike, Eric went above and beyond to develop strong relationships with those he worked with in the Under-18 age group.
      “He was a caring mentor and confidant in the dressing room to players taking their first tentative steps into full-time football, while carrying out his daily duties in meticulous fashion.
      “A humble and warm character, Eric joined Chelsea FC in April 2013, his presence and personality proving integral to the values of our Academy culture. He has been a constant on the sidelines during a great many of our youth team successes over the years.”
      It added: “Eric’s passion for the job, the players he supported, and his love for Chelsea was evident for all to see and will be sorely missed. All at Chelsea send our deepest condolences to Eric’s family and friends at this most difficult time.”
      Tributes pile in for Chelsea kit man
      Winger Hudson-Odoi, 21, and wing-back Reece James, 22, also added to JT’s touching tribute.
      Hudson-Odoi wrote: “This really hurts! RIP ERIC.
      “You really helped me through a lot growing up in the academy and you was more than a Kit man, you was a Good hearted man who wanted nothing but the best for Everyone!!

      Chelsea kit man passes away
      A host of Chelsea legends and current stars have paid tribute to academy kit man Eric Asiedu following his death.
      The club confirmed the sad news on Wednesday that the much-loved backroom member had passed.
      Former Chelsea captain John Terry took to Twitter to pay his respects, writing: “RIP ERIC Heartbreaking news today. BOSS you will be deeply missed.”

      Thomas Tuchel has been blasted for not giving youngsters a chance to shine at Chelsea by football legend Ian Holloway.
      Holloway expressed his frustration over the lack of opportunities given to Chelsea’s young crop when it was highlighted by a talkSPORT host.
      To which Holloway replied: “That’s my annoyance.
      “Plenty of young players were playing under Frank Lampard, but Tuchel’s come in and put all of the old ones back in.
      “That’s not the way forward for Chelsea, it’s not.”

      Liverpool ‘laugh’ at Mane bid
      Liverpool have reportedly turned down a “laughable” second bid by Bayern Munich for star man Sadio Mane.
      Bayern saw an opening bid worth £21million, with an additional £4.6m in add-ons if they win the Champions League, rejected by the Merseyside club.
      But according to The Times, they have increased that opening bid by £2.5m, to a guaranteed fee of £23.5m, and the add-ons by £2.5m to £6.5m.
      But the offer has been deemed “laughable” by Liverpool officials due to the nature of the bonuses.
      In order for the fee to reach a total of £30m, Bayern would have to win the Champions League each year across his proposed three-year stay.
      Mane would also have to win the Ballon d’Or in each campaign he stays with the German champions.
      Tark of the town
      James Tarkowski is set to undergo a medical at Everton before signing on a free transfer, according to reports.
      He is set to become Frank Lampard’s first summer signing and leaves Burnley after six years at Turf Moor.
      The centre-back, 29, has arrived at Finch Farm to complete the relevant tests, report The Atheltic.
      West Ham and Newcastle were also linked with a move for the defender but it appears Everton have fought off their competition.

      The 23-year-old centre-back has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham.

      According to The Mail, the Red Devils have opened up a dialogue with Inter in an attempt to snatch the defender away from Tottenham.

      Glen Johnson would like to see Liverpool make a move for Harry Kane.
      He told bettingodds: “Personally, I’d love to see him at Liverpool. I think he’d be a great fit for them.
      “We know how Liverpool do their business and I don’t think they’d break the bank for someone of Harry’s age. I know he’s not old but Liverpool don’t do that sort of thing.
      “I’d be very surprised if the deal came off, but I’d like to see it happen.”

      Aston Villa have been dealt a blow in their transfer pursuit of Luis Suarez with River Plate trying to sign the striker.

      According to The Athletic, Madrid have now reached a “verbal agreement” with Monaco to sign their star player.

      You have to help them as well to put it in the right spots.
