F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix LIVE RESULTS: Perez edges out Leclerc with Verstappen third in practice one

F1 is in Azerbaijan for what is typically one of the most action-packed Grand Prix races of the year.Max Verstappen will be looking to extend his title lead after crashing at 200mph in last year’s race with just four laps left.
But he will have Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc hot on his heels as well as team-mate Sergio Perez, who won in Baku last year and also took the chequered flag in Monaco a fortnight ago.
Here’s how you can watch the practice, qualifying and race live from Azerbaijan.

    Hamilton outside top 10
Behind the wheel of that car will be a very unhappy Lewis Hamilton.
The weekend is still in its early stages, but only being 12th fastest in P2 does not bode well for the Mercedes star.

FP2 is done – Leclerc leads the way
Ferrari’s Leclerc sets the pace ahead of the Red Bull duo. Perez is 0.248 seconds off the pace and Verstappen 0.356 seconds.
Alonso is the shock in fourth place for Alpine, ahead of countryman Sainz, who is in P5.
Russell, 7th, gets the better of his Mercedes teammate Hamilton, who is down in 12th in another miserable outing for the seven-times world champion.
    Bump in the road
It is proving challenging for the drives, especially the long straight, which is 2.2km long.
It is not just the Mercedes that is bouncing, it is evident all cars are experiencing problems.
There come be some unhappy comments form the drivers about the surface this evening.
    Leclerc has a lock up
The Ferrari man has a lock up and goes into the escape road at turn seven.
He keeps out of the barriers and is now on his way back to the pits.
And now Perez has done the same at turn 15. No contact with the barriers but boy, some are getting close.
    Perez and Verstappen swap places
The Mexican, who won last out in Monaco, is still on the pace as he leapfrogs Verstappen into second place behind Leclerc.
Alonso is now up to fourth and Sainz in fifth.
Meanwhile, Schumacher makes another error but keeps out of the wall.
    Mercedes duo on flying runs
Russell, who has until now been slower than his teammate, now gets on top.
He moves into sixth with a time that is 0.742seconds off Leclerc in P1, while Hamilton is slower on his lap after making a mistake in sector one.
Hamilton is now in ninth place behind Tsunoda and Norris.
    Leclerc sets the pace
The Ferrari man tops the tree and sits ahead of Verstappen, but there is just 0.030 seconds in it.
It IS close. Perez in P3 and Sainz in P4 while Alonso in 5th gives Alpine some confidence.

    Frantic scenes in Red Bull
There is a lot of work being done to the rear wing of Verstappen’s car. It was certainly flexing a lot in F1, especially on the long straight.
The world champion is yet to run in FP2 as his team make their final adjustments.
    FP2 is go
It was impressive from Red Bull and Ferrari in the first session, can Mercedes get in the mix for the second session?

    FP2 about to begin
It’s almost time for another 20 drivers to get a feel for this bewildering Baku circuit.
    Hill: The Sergio surge continues
Former world champion Damon Hill believes Sergio Perez is finally living up to the reputation from early on in his career.
The Mexican continued his fine form with the fastest time in the first practice at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Speaking to Sky Sports News after FP1, Hill said: “It’s what I call the Sergio surge.
“He’s coming on strong, and he feels comfortable and confident.
“He’s been resigned, and he’s now putting in the kind of performances that Red Bull always hoped he would.”

    FP1 is done
Perez leads the way. Fresh from his win in Monaco and a new contract in the bag, he leads the way in Baku and sits at the top of the timesheets.
Leclerc is in P2, Verstappen in P3 while Sainz is in P4 to make it two Red Bulls and two Ferraris in the top four.
Alonso fifth, Hamilton six in the best of the rest but both over a second off Perez’s best time.
More misery for under-fire trio Schuamcher, Latifi and Ricciardo who slump to the bottom of the timesheet.
    Curious timing
Midway into FP1 and the FIA have released a statement stating the appointment of Tanya Kutsenko as “the first Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Advisor dedicated to motor sport.
“She is Ukrainian born, is an accomplished international motor sport development expert.”
It comes after a backlash over comments made by FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem.
Straight fight between Ferrari and Red Bull
It is difficult to see past these two teams right now, however, there is some hope – well maybe.
Hamilton has now popped up in fifth in the timesheets, but still a bit off the pace.
And a quick word on under-fire Daniel Ricciardo, he is the slowest man on track. He is in real danger of losing his seat at McLaren unless he improves.
Still no sign of a Mercedes comeback
Sorry Hamilton/Russell fans, but your drivers are currently in P9 and P12, as there seems to have been little improvement in the one-week break from Monaco.
Yes, of course this is only practice, but the early signs are that they are again off the pace of Red Bull and Ferrari and behind AlphaTauri and Alpine.
    Virtual safety car ended
We are back up to full speed again in Baku after the Williams was removed from the track.
Verstappen currently leads the way with a time of 1:46.932. but it is already close with the Ferraris.
He is just 0.067 seconds ahead of Leclerc, who is second. Perez in third, Alonso fourth, Sainz fifth.
    Latifi stops on track
Now it is the Williams man who has a problem. He radios his team to tell them his car just switched off.
He is being rolled out of the way by the marshals as the virtual safety car is deployed.
Neither the start Latifi or Schumacher needed to this weekend, as both are under pressure to improve.
    Problem for Schumacher
This time he’s not crashed it. He’s clearly got a mechanical problem with his Haas, with water pouring from his car.
Schumacher, who crashed big in Saudi Arabia and Monaco, had been warned by his team he could not afford another smash.
But this is clearly not his fault as he pulls to the side of the track after receiving instructions from his team.

    Green light in Baku
First practice is underway in Azerbaijan. This street track will be an altogether new experience for the drivers in this year’s cars.
Expect plenty of running as team maximise the chance to get as much data as they can.
The long straights and 90 degree corners poses a completely different challenge to the Monaco GP.

Barcelona ‘accept’ Frenkie de Jong will leave, target Bernardo Silva, Rashford ‘rejects Spurs’ – Man Utd transfer news

MANCHESTER UNITED have moved a step closer to signing Frenkie de Jong with Barcelona having reportedly accepting the player will leave. The Spanish press say keeping the Dutchman is “no longer a priority”, with Bernardo Silva said to be targeted as a replacement.
The same report adds that Barca would also let Frenkie de Jong leave without a replacement, so long as it means they can sign Robert Lewandowski.
However, he is unlikely to join Tottenham Hostpur this summer as he has reportedly rejected a move to the North London outfit.
Meanwhile, Ajax ace Ibrahim Sangare has hinted on a move away from the Dutch giants.
The United target has stated that it would be a dream of his to play in the Premier League one day.
And the Red Devils have taken a HUGE blow in their pursuit of Darwin Nunez as Liverpool are reportedly planning a £85 million bid proposal for the Benfica talisman.
Stay up to date with all the latest from Old Trafford…
    Man Utd still want Nunez
Manchester United are reportedly in contact with Darwin Nunez’s agent, despite Liverpool ready to bring him to Anfield.
That is according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano who has stated the Benfica striker is at the centre of a battle between the two rivals.
He tweeted: “Darwin Nunez deal. Key hours ahead as reported.
“Waiting for key stages as Liverpool are in advanced talks with Benfica on €80m [£68m] verbal bid and personal terms [five year deal] already discussed.
“But Manchester United are in contact with his agent, even today afternoon.”
Van Gaal makes De Jong claim
Former Man United manager Louis van Gaal claims Frenkie de Jong’s price tag is significantly below his true value.
Van Gaal manages the midfielder with the Netherlands and is a big fan of the 25-year-old.
Because of that he believes De Jong should be one of the most expensive players in the world – yet Barcelona want just £65million to let him go.
Van Gaal said: “Frenkie de Jong brings extra quality to this team and that’s why he’s worth €112m (£96m).”
    Henderson to Newcastle off?
TalkSPORT’s Alex Crook is also claiming that Newcastle move for United goalkeeper Dean Henderson could no longer happen.
The Toon are reportedly cooling their interest and going for Borussia Monchengladbach stopper Yann Sommer.
Henderson is rumoured to want out of Old Trafford as he wants more game time to get in England’s World Cup squad.
    Shock move for Ox?
According to talkSPORT’s Alex Crook, Manchester United could make a shock move for Liverpool’s Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain.
The 28-year-old is supposedly desperate to leave Anfield after falling out of favour and he could be available for just £10million.
West Ham have also shown an interest as have Southampton in the past.
    Torres tussle
Man Utd and Tottenham are battling it out to sign Villarreal defender Pau Torres, according to reports in Spain.
Torres, 25, has impressed in LaLiga and the Champions League, helping Villarreal to the semi-final.
Villarreal are seeking £43million for the Spaniard and United are favourites to sign him, according to La Razon.
However, Tottenham could throw in Giovani Lo Celso as part of the deal, the Argentine spent the second half of last season on loan at the Unai Emery’s side.

    Nunez news
Liverpool have agreed personal terms with Benfica star Darwin Nunez… but Manchester United want to hijack their deal.
The Reds are understood to have offered around £86million for the forward.
Jurgen Klopp is keen to get the deal done as he searches for a Sadio Mane replacement as he is Bayern Munich bound.
But according to Portuguese reporter Pedro Sepulveda, United aren’t ready to give up on signing the Uruguayan.
He told Sky Sports earlier today that Red Devils chiefs are set to meet with Nunez’s agent Jorge Mendes.
He claims that United will try and find a way to complete a deal for the Benfica star under Liverpool’s noses.
The report adds, however, that the player himself has his heart set on Liverpool and is already thinking about playing at Anfield.
    Dalot on Ronaldo
Man Utd full-back Diogo Dalot has expressed his admiration of compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo.
Dalot has five caps for Potugal meanwhile Ronadlo, 37, has an incredible 188.
Dalot said: “[Cristiano] is a machine with the way he drives himself every single day and to give us these performances.”
    Trossard transfer fight
Man Utd and Newcastle are set to compete for Brighton attacker Leandro Trossard, according to reports.
The Belgian has attracted plenty of interest with his performances for Graham Potter’s side last term.
He made 34 Premier League appearances, netting eight goals and laying on three assists.
De Jong’s agent set for talks
Frenkie de Jong’s agent is set to hold talks with Barcelona over his client’s future amid Manchester United’s reported interest.
According to Mundo Deportivo, De Jong’s representative Ali Dursun is schedule to fly to the Catalan capital within the next few days.
The Spanish outlet adds that manager Xavi would only agree to the midfielder’s departure if the club signed a worthy replacement.
The Barcelona boss’ preferred choice in that case would be Manchester City star Bernardo Silva.
    De Jong dressing room claims
According to reports in the Spanish media, Frenkie de Jong is the only Barcelona player to have cleared his locker at the club.
Amid plenty of interest from Man Utd, fans are believing he could be on the way to reunite with Erik ten Hag.
One fan believes saying: “So he’s coming then.”
Another was not so convinced stating, “this proves nothing.”
    Alaba fires shots at United
Real Madrid and Austria man David Alaba has claimed that Ralf Rangnick is “world-class” and wasn’t given enough time to make an impact at Man Utd.
Rangnick is now the Austria manager after his interim spell at Old Trafford. He was set to ‘upstairs’ into a consultancy role at United but that will not be happening either.
Alaba said: “He has been really good, you can see we have a really good plan and you can see it works for us on the pitch.
“He doesn’t want us to let the opponents breathe air. It is good for us. I have known Ralf since I was 18 years old and he is a world-class coach.
“What he did in the past is something special and now I am seeing it close up. He showed what he can do at Leipzig, Salzburg and Hoffenheim.
“He didn’t have a lot of time in Manchester. He has a really good plan and knows a lot about football.”
    Did United bid for Felix?
Atletico Madrid rejected a £136million bid for Joao Felix from a Premier League club in 2020, according to reports.
Manchester United were continually linked with the Portuguese star before he made the switch to Spain from Benfica in 2019.
Despite the 22-year-old picking LaLiga over England, a third party on behalf of the unnamed Prem side still approached Atletico about a move.

Joao Felix hasn’t consistently been his best since moving to Atleti
    United confident on Garnacho future
Talented teenager Alejandro Garnacho recently made his Premier League debut as well as scoring twice in the FA Youth Cup final.
These performances have alerted Juventus however Man Utd are confident they will be able to agree a new deal with the attacker who is just 17-years-old.
The new contract is set to reflect his growing presence at the club, via MEN.
Agbonlahor says Eriksen should avoid United
However, former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor has suggested Christian Eriksen doesn’t sign for United.
Agbonlahor told talkSPORT: “I think he’d (Eriksen) make every team better. Imagine playing with him, the runs you could make, he’d find you with his passing.
“I’m sure he’s got so many options and there’s talk about Manchester United, but I don’t know about that.
“I think he can do better than United.”
The pundit suggested he’d be better of at Tottenham saying: “I think he’s got that relationship with Conte hasn’t he, when he was manager of Inter Milan, so that’s an option for him.”
Man Utd send scouts to watch Eriksen
Manchester United had scouts watching the performance of Christian Eriksen as he played for Denmark against Austria, according to various reports.
The scouts would have seen the 32-year-old grab the assist for the winning goal.
Eriksen has been playing for Brentford since making a sensational recovery from the a cardiac arrest at last summer’s Euros.
    Sangare reveals Premier League dream
PSV midfielder Ibrahim Sangare is someone being targetted as part of Erik ten Hag’s summer re-build.
Sky Sports have reported that it could take a £30million bid to get PSV to sell with Chelsea and Newcastle also keen.
Back in May, Sangare spoke to the Dutch press about a transfer.
He said: “”I am a PSV player. I don’t have my head in other things.
“I’ll go on holiday and I’ll have time to talk about possible next projects.
“Playing in the Premier League is not only a dream of mine, but a dream of every footballer. That is the biggest and most important league in the world.”
    Watch De Jong dribble
Man United target Frenkie de Jong danced through the Welsh midfield to set up a late winner for the Netherlands to secure a 1-2 win in the Nations League.
The Barcelona midfielder skipped away from challenges before his killer pass found Tyrell Malacia who crossed in for Wout Weghorst to head home.
    Watch the moment here.
    United interested in Fofana
Man Utd are keen on Leicester’s Wesley Fofana, according to RMC Sport.
The 21-year-old centre-back missed much of the season that just finished due to injury.
It is rumoured that the Foxes will demand a fee of £68million with Chelsea also keeping their eyes on the Frenchman.
    Liverpool bid for Nunez
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that a bid has been made from Liverpool for United target Darwin Nunez.
The offer is €80m with add ons totally the deal at €100m. Nunez would be handed a five year deal.
Benfica will decide whether to accept or not soon.
He also reports that Man United are in contact with his agent.
Lingard hangs out with Neymar and Ronaldinho
Jesse Lingard is looking for a new club this summer after his deal at Man Utd expired but he seems in no rush to find one.
He is currently on holiday in USA, firstly Las Vegas and now Miami.
And on his break he has been snapped alongside Neymar and Ronaldinho.

Van Gaal warns player NOT to join United
Netherlands and ex-United manager Louis van Gaal has advised Ajax defender Jurrien Timber NOT to make the move to Manchester this summer.
Timber is coached by van Gaal at international level and speaking ahead of their match yesterday the 70-year-old said: “”I think a player with his qualities can play in the Premier League.
“That’s not a problem. But if he has to make this step now… that’s another question. It is not so wise I think [to join United]. He has to play.”
Timber worked with Erik ten Hag at Ajax fuelling rumours that the new boss wants to work with the 20-year-old again.
United don’t want Nunez bidding war
Man Utd and Liverpool are both interested in the £85million rated Benfica striker Darwin Nunez.
Manchester Evening News are reporting that despite their being no official budget on signings this summer, United are reluctant to spend “within their means and there is a limit to what they would pay for transfer targets.”
Nunez scored an incredible 34 goals in 41 games for Benfica last season.
He has also become a client of super-agent Jorge Mendes perhaps suggesting his intention to leave Lisbon for a big club.
    Rashford rejects Spurs
Man Utd attacker Marcus Rashford has declined a move to Spurs in favour of fighting for his place at Old Trafford, according to reports from The Times.
They claim that the 24-year-old is hoping to impress new manager Erik ten Hag.
Many clubs from Italy and Spain are also keen but United appear to have no intention of selling him.
    Good morning United fans
Ralf Rangnick failed to make an impact at Man United because he wasn’t given enough time.
That’s the view of Real Madrid ace David Alaba who has been working with Rangnick since he became Austria’s new manager.
Man United team-mate Diogo Dalot has backed Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of the new season.
Dalot says that Ron is a “machine that won’t stop any time soon”.
Jurgen Klopp is confident he will beat Manchester United to land hitman Darwin Nunez.
Liverpool are ready with a package worth £75million — an initial £68m fee plus add-ons — to beat their rivals to the Benfica striker.
Harry Maguire’s wife Fern Hawkins has shown off her huge diamond ring after marrying the Manchester United captain.
Barcelona ace Frenkie de Jong will be the “perfect fit” for Man United’s midfield in the wake of Paul Pogba’s exit.
And Jesse Lingard is all about the wild partying in Las Vegas.
    Lingard in Vegas
Jesse Lingard has been labelled as a “legend” after splashing out on two bottles of champagne for his adoring fans as he joined in on their stag do, writes Jake Lambourne.
The 29-year-old took to his Instagram story last week to show him partying in Las Vegas, where he was serenaded by partygoers.
Lingard was showered with compliments, with the person stating he spoke to everyone on the stag do and was more than happy to take pictures with them.

“But unfortunately, the long term injury he sustained in the game against [Aston] Villa slowed everything down and then he had Covid as well.
“I think we could see towards the end of the season, when he was fit and ready to go again, how strong he is. I have full confidence he will bounce back and have a strong season.”
Petr Cech is hoping Romelu Lukaku has a more successful season at Chelsea

Minutes have been limited for Marc Roca since making his move Bayern Munich from Espanyol.
But both Leeds and West Ham are interested in him, with a bid of £10million being enough to sign him, according to The Athletic.

West Ham will need to replace club legend Mark Noble after he retired.

“I felt useful in the locker room and on the pitch. It was the best decision to make.
“I took some time to make my decision. Football is a beautiful profession. It was complicated to follow OL’s last season from a distance because I couldn’t help. I hope this period is over and that we are going to find a great Lyon.
“The priority is above all to help the club return to the top of the bill with European qualification.”
    Further Jesus update
Journalist Ben Jacobs has provided an update on Arsenal’s interest in Gabriel Jesus as well as Man City’s stance on the striker.
He said: “I think Manchester City have, by all accounts, softened a little bit on the lowest valuation they’re prepared to sell for,” he said on The Football Terrace.
“When we first spoke about this, I think the fee was £55million in City’s head, something in that ballpark.
“Arsenal definitely thought that was around £10million too high.
“The situation now is that… the value of the deal has dropped by around £10-12million.
“So that’s well within Arsenal’s ballpark, and I think now, City will let Jesus go for somewhere in the low £40million.”
This sounds like good news for Mikel Arteta.

Saka in no rush to sign new contract

The 20-year-old became the first Arsenal player to retain the Player of the Season award since Thierry Henry in 2004.
Arsenal fans are hoping to seal a transfer for Yves Bissouma this summer after the midfielder hinted at a move.
The Brighton star, 25, reposted two comments from an Gunners supporter who revealed their wish to sign Bissouma.
The club appear to have let slip that Eddie Nketiah has signed a long-term contract extension at the Emirates.
Nketiah appeared on a poster previewing Arsenal’s friendly clash against German outfit FC Nurnberg on July 8.

    Bissouma reposts Gunners fan love
Bissouma is believed to be valued at around £50million by Brighton – the same fee that took Ben White from the south coast to the Emirates last summer.
And fortunately for Mikel Arteta it appears Bissouma is aiming to follow in the England star’s footsteps.
The ex-Lille ace re-posted two messages from an Arsenal fan on Tuesday.
The first comment read: “For me, I think he and Tielemans should be our priority at midfield, we must get [Bissouma] at all costs.”

The supporter followed that up by adding: “I’ve been following up on Bissouma and I think he’s the one to replace Partey long-term, he’s just 25.”
Bissouma’s contract expires in 2023 too which means Brighton could be open to selling as this is their final chance to cash in.
    Bissouma to North London?
Arsenal fans are hoping to seal a transfer for Yves Bissouma this summer after the midfielder hinted at a move.
The Brighton star, 25, reposted two comments from an Arsenal supporter who revealed their wish to sign Bissouma.
The Gunners have been linked with a move for the Mali international since last summer and it appears Bissouma is keen to join.
And now, just a day after the midfielder’s cryptic posts, The Athletic are reporting Aston Villa have ended their pursuit of the Seagulls’ ace.
Villa were reportedly set to battle Arsenal for Bissouma this summer so their withdrawal from the transfer race is a big boost for the Gunners.
It means technical director Edu has a better chance of agreeing a fee with Brighton although there is still the interest from Monaco to contend with.
    Superstar Saka
Arsenal have congratulated Bukayo Saka on winning the Player of the Season prize.
A statement read: “Bukayo bagged several big goals including key strikes against Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester United, Aston Villa and Brentford.

Have Gunners accidentally leaked Nketiah confirmation?
Arsenal appear to have let slip that Eddie Nketiah has signed a long-term contract extension at the Emirates, writes Jake Lambourne.
The 23-year-old is set to depart North London at the end of June when his current deal expires.
But the England youth international is believed to be ready to extend his stay with Arsenal until 2027.
Judging by an Arsenal promotional poster, the ex-Leeds loanee could have already committed his future.

Nketiah has appeared in a social media post previewing Arsenal’s friendly clash against German outfit FC Nurnberg on July 8.
As it stands, Nketiah wouldn’t be eligible to play against the Bundesliga 2 club as he would be a free agent.
    Is it a sign?
    Lacazette to Lyon ‘nearly complete’
Alexandre Lacazette is reportedly on the cusp of completing a move to Lyon.
The striker left Arsenal on a free transfer and is set to be unveiled by Lyon once he completes a medical.
That’s according to Fabrizio Romano who claims Lyon will release an official statement over the move soon.
He said: “Alexandre Lacazette is now set to sign the contract with OL on a free move after medical tests completed. Official statement expected soon.”
    Gnabry’s ‘still a Gunner’
Serge Gnabry “still has Arsenal in him” according to Kevin Campbell amid reports linking the Bayern Munich star with a return to North London.
Campbell told Football Insider: “The likes of Gnabry would fit in seamlessly. He knows the club. It would be the second coming but he knows the club.
“It is not as if it would be all new to him. That part of it is really important. You want new signings to hit the ground running. You would not have to worry about that with Gnabry.
“There is definite legs in it because Gnabry still has Arsenal in him. If the opportunity arises… Wow. He is quality.”
    Partey name change
Thomas Partey has revealed that he’s now going by a new name Yakubu as part of his conversion to Islam.

PSG were in contention to sign the winger but dropped out of the race in the last few days.
CBS Sports report: “Thomas Tuchel has made it clear that he sees Ousmane Dembele as a player he knows and can get the best out of.
“There is confidence at Chelsea due to PSG pulling out.”

    Chelsea tribute to kit-man
A Chelsea statement was issued after the death of kit man Eric Asiedu.
It read: “It is with great sadness that Chelsea Football Club has learned of the passing of our colleague Eric Asiedu.
“Eric was a hugely popular figure at our Cobham training ground in his role as Academy kitman, always going about his work with an infectious smile and wonderful positivity. He will be sadly missed by us all and the pain of his sudden passing will be felt by many.
“Affectionately known as ‘boss’ by players and staff alike, Eric went above and beyond to develop strong relationships with those he worked with in the Under-18 age group.
“He was a caring mentor and confidant in the dressing room to players taking their first tentative steps into full-time football, while carrying out his daily duties in meticulous fashion.
“A humble and warm character, Eric joined Chelsea FC in April 2013, his presence and personality proving integral to the values of our Academy culture. He has been a constant on the sidelines during a great many of our youth team successes over the years.”
It added: “Eric’s passion for the job, the players he supported, and his love for Chelsea was evident for all to see and will be sorely missed. All at Chelsea send our deepest condolences to Eric’s family and friends at this most difficult time.”
Or will Lukaku and Martinez be reunited?
If Romelu Lukaku does end up back at Inter Milan and Chelsea do not wangle Martinez, the couple will reunite.
The Argentine netted 21 times in Serie A last season improving his tally of 17 he got alongside Lukaku when they played up front together.
The pair that season registered a combined 41 goals and Simone Inzaghi’s side could want the deadly duo reunited.
In his infamous interview with the Italian press back in December that angered Thomas Tuchel and many Chelsea fans, Lukaku hinted at wanting to play with Martinez again.
He said: “Lautaro Martinez coming here with me at Chelsea in the future?
“No… Lautaro, you can stay in Milan, I’ll be back there.”
    Blues after Martinez
Chelsea reportedly want Lautaro Martinez if they loan Romelu Lukaku back to Inter Milan, writes Alex Smith.
The Belgian striker only arrived in west London last summer after a £97.5million return to Stamford Bridge.
However, Lukaku has made his intentions clear a number of times and would like a return to Inter.
Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting that Chelsea are demanding £21million for them to consider loaning the striker back to the Italian side.

As part of the deal they could also look to include an Inter player – and have taken an interest in 24-year-old star Martinez.
The Argentine netted 21 times in Serie A last season improving his tally of 17 he got alongside Lukaku when they played up front together.
    Chelsea fans new kit horror
Chelsea fans have been left fuming by the look of their potential new kit after an image was leaked online.

More supporters used words like “ugly” and “terrible”.
Others took aim at the manufacturers saying: “it’s time to dump Nike.”

    Chelsea kit man passes away
A host of Chelsea legends and current stars have paid tribute to academy kit man Eric Asiedu following his death.
The club confirmed the sad news on Wednesday that the much-loved backroom member had passed.
Former Chelsea captain John Terry took to Twitter to pay his respects, writing: “RIP ERIC Heartbreaking news today. BOSS you will be deeply missed.”

    Dembele ‘set for Chelsea transfer’

Saka wins Player of the Season

    Well deserved.
The forward scored 11 goals and 7 assists in 38 Premier League games.
This guy causes carnage in opposition defences.

    Saka should stay, says Walcott
Bukayo Saka has been urged to remain with Arsenal by ex-Gunner Theo Walcott.
Walcott warned Saka that he won’t be a big fish at City like he is at the Emirates.
And Arsenal are adamant that their current Player of the Year is going nowhere and remain confident that he will soon sign a new long-term deal.
    Fiorentina issue Torreira ultimatum
Fiorentina have reportedly issued a deadline of this Friday for Arsenal to agree terms for Lucas Torreira.
Torreira spent last season on loan with Fiorentina and were keen to make his move permanent.
But talks between the two sides have reached an impasse over Torreira’s transfer fee, the Mirror reported.
The report states Fiorentina are unwilling to pay the previously agreed £12m fee for Torreira, and will pay no more than £8m for the midfielder.
    Balogun on Arsenal future
Folarin Balogun has refused to commit his future to Arsenal until he sits down with Mikel Arteta.
He told talkSPORT: “When I get back to Arsenal I will like to sit down with the manager and see what he thinks and we will decide what is best.
“I know that everyone will like to know what I will do next but I would like to speak to him first and we can come to a conclusion.”
    Jesus is ‘perfect Arsenal fit’
Gabby Agbonlahor has urged arsenal to sign ‘perfect fit’ Gabriel Jesus.
Agbonlahor reckons Jesus will thrive at Arsenal with the likes of Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Emile Smith-Rowe feeding him.
The footy pundit told talkSPORT: ““They have to get him (Jesus). He’s the perfect striker for Arsenal.
“Odegaard in-behind. Finding his little runs that he likes to make.
“Then you have Saka on the right and Martinelli on the left. Smith Rowe is also available.”
Arsenal in pole position for Jesus
Arsenal are in pole position to sign Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus in the summer, reports suggest.
According to Goal Brasil, the Gunners have made a €50million (£43m) bid but have yet to convince City to sell as they are asking for €60m (£51m).
Jesus, who has informed manager Pep Guardiola of his desire to move, has also attracted interest from Real Madrid as well as Chelsea, whose transfer ban has yet to be lifted after Todd Boehly’s takeover.
However, the North Londoners are leading the race as Real’s non-EU quota is full.
Jesus’ entourage were in London last week to discuss a potential exit from the Etihad.

    Thomas Partey has new name
Thomas Partey has revealed that he’s now going by a new name Yakubu as part of his conversion to Islam.
But he’ll still be referred to as Partey when playing for Arsenal.
And his shirt will also continue to bear his first name Thomas, the Evening Standard reported.
    Arsenal receive Renato Sanches blow
AC Milan have reportedly reached a “verbal agreement” with Arsenal transfer target Renato Sanches.
The midfielder looks certain to leave Lille this summer with a number of top European clubs registering an interest.
But according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Serie A champions Milan have taken the lead in the race to sign Sanches.
In a blow to interested Premier League outfit Arsenal, Milan have reportedly reached a “verbal agreement” with the Portugal international.
Sanches is seen as a replacement for midfielder Franck Kessie, who will be joining Barcelona on a free transfer.
However, Milan are yet to agree a fee with Lille and talks are set to continue in the coming days.
    Asensio speaks on Real future
Marco Asensio has opened up on his future with Real Madrid amid interest from Premier League clubs.
He said when asked about his future, reported by Fabrizio Romano: “Renew or leave? By the way, there is also the option of staying for the remaining year of my contract.”
“I’ll speak with Real soon – I’m now looking for regularity for the next few years. It’s important.”
Man United, Arsenal, and Tottenham have been tracking the striker.
    More on Akanji offer
Akanji’s representatives are highlighting the fact that he’s a Swiss team-mate of Gunners midfielder Granit Xhaka who impressed in an international friendly against England in March.
And they are confident that Dortmund’s current £21million asking price – similar to the fee they have just paid to sign Schlotterback from Freiburg – is certain to drop in the coming weeks.
But the Gunners are still unlikely to take up the offer as Akanji is right-footed and they are looking for a left-footed centre-half to act as back-up to Gabriel Magalhaes.
With William Saliba set to return to the Emirates from his loan deal at Marseille to challenge Ben White and Rob Holding next season, Mikel Arteta is already well stocked for right-sided central defenders.
    Arsenal ‘offered Manuel Akanji’
Arsenal are being offered the chance to sign Borussia Dortmund centre-half Manuel Akanji, MARK IRWIN WRITES.
The 26-year-old Swiss international defender was a regular starter for the Bundesliga runners-up last season.
But he has been told he can leave following the sacking of head coach Marco Rose and the recent signings of German internationals Niklas Sule and Nico Schlotterbeck.
Now Akanji’s representatives are looking for a move to the Premier League and are targeting Arsenal as potential buyers.
    Jesus ‘keen on Prem stay’
Gabriel Jesus still has his heart set on a transfer away from Man City this summer.
And he’s likely to remain in the Premier League despite interest from Real Madrid, Fabrizio Romano revealed.
Real were exploring a move for Jesus a few weeks ago but are yet to press forward with a concrete bid for the striker, the transfer guru added.
This will be a huge boost for Arsenal who are in pole position to land the Brazilian.
    Prem clubs fear over Nunez
Premier League clubs are reportedly wary of paying Benfica’s exorbitant asking price for Darwin Nunez.
Benfica are seeking between £60-100m for Nunez, and Liverpool are said to be planning a £85m bid for the striker.
But Prem sides fear paying over the odds for Nunez, in case he’s a flop in England like Nicolas Pepe was for Arsenal last season.
That’s the view of a Prem chief executive who told i news: “The sort of money being asked for him is huge and no club wants to do what Arsenal did with Nicolas Pepe, grossly over paying for someone because of the hype around the number of clubs interested in him.”
    Feyenoord chase Nelson loan extension
Feyenoord reportedly want to keep hold of Reiss Nelson beyond the expiration of his loan deal.
Nelson’s loan stint with the Dutch side ends at the end of the month.
But Feyenoord are hoping to retain the winger’s services for another season, according to De Telegraaf.
The report states that Nelson is open to remaining in the Netherlands.
However, Feyenoord still need to convince Arsenal to let the 22-year-old stay.
    Arsenal fans share Bissouma hope
Arsenal fans are hoping to seal a transfer for Yves Bissouma this summer after the midfielder hinted at a move.
The Brighton star, 25, reposted two comments from an Arsenal supporter who revealed their wish to sign Bissouma.
The ex-Lille ace re-posted two messages from an Arsenal fan on Tuesday.
The first comment read: “For me, I think he and Tielemans should be our priority at midfield, we must get [Bissouma] at all cost [Arsenal].”
    Jesus ‘prefers Real Madrid transfer’
Arsenal’s hopes of signing Gabriel Jesus have been dented as the Man City striker has eyes on a move to Real Madrid, reports claim.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with the Brazilian striker recently.
But he’s been swayed by interest from Champions League winners Real Madrid, football.london reported.
However, Real cannot sign Jesus until his Brazilian compatriot Vinicius Junior gets a Spanish passport, as the Spanish giants have reached the maximum amount of non-European players allowed by La Liga.
    Good morning Arsenal fans
Man Utd and Newcastle are reportedly “leading the chase” to sign Benfica striker Darwin Nunez.
Arsenal and French giants Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on the forward.
The Gunners have been dealt a blow after losing top academy bosses Kevin Betsy and Dan Micciche to Crawley Town.
Betsy helped guide Arsenal’s U23s to a top-three finish in Premier League 2.
Arsenal and Chelsea have received a boost in their pursuit of Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus.
According to reports, Jesus and Man City agreed that his price would be set at £43million.
    Tielemans hints at exit
Arsenal have received a boost in their pursuit of Youri Tielemans after the Leicester star declared he is open to depart the King Power Stadium.
The 25-year-old midfielder has been heavily linked with a move away from the East Midlands with his contract to expire in 2023.
Speaking in Belgium’s pre-match press conference ahead of their Nations League clash against Poland, Tielemans was asked whether he could leave Leicester.
He replied: “That is not out of the question. But I can also stay. I feel very good at Leicester.
“I was welcomed with open arms from day one. I give everything for the club until the last day.
“But of course you have to listen to other opportunities, you have to look at your career, and sometimes you have to make choices. Maybe one will come my way.”
Of course you have to listen to other opportunities.Youri Tielemans
Saka speculation no worries for Arsenal
Arsenal are shrugging off speculation surrounding Bukayo Saka and are happy to wait for the player to finish his summer holiday before launching contract negotiations.
Both Manchester City and Liverpool have been linked with the 20-year-old England winger since the Gunners missed out on Champions League qualification last month.
But Arsenal are adamant that their current Player of the Year is going nowhere and remain confident that he will soon sign a new long-term Emirates deal.
Saka is currently away on international duty and is not due to return for pre-season training for another five weeks.

And manager Mikel Arteta is keen for his young star to take a complete break from football before getting down to serious contract talks.
As SunSport reported back in March, the plan has always been to sort out Saka’s long-term future this summer with the offer of a new deal worth somewhere in the region of £125,000-a-week.
    Toon in for Morata
Newcastle have reportedly joined the race to prise Alvaro Morata away from Atletico Madrid, writes Jake Lambourne.
The Spanish striker is on his way back to the Wanda Metropolitano after spending the last two seasons on loan at Juventus.
Chelsea flop Morata is facing an uncertain future under Diego Simeone, with Arsenal claimed to be eyeing up a shock transfer.
Serie A giants Juventus remain keen on turning his temporary stay in Turin into a permanent switch.

It is believed that the Old Lady aren’t willing to match Atletico’s £30million asking price having already forked out £17m on his loan.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Newcastle are keeping tabs on Morata ahead of a possible swoop.
