    Kick-off: FC Nurnberg vs Arsenal
We are underway at the Max-Morlock-Stadion.
Arsenal in their new-look strip get their pre-season started.
Strength in depth key to season
Arsenal’s young squad looked sure to secure fourth spot in the Premier League last term but some injuries to key players cost them dearly when it mattered most.
Technical director Edu has not wasted any time in ensuring that The Gunners are active in the transfer window.
They have signed four players already, including marquee signing and new number nine Gabriel Jesus from Man City.
    Pre-season off to shaky start
FC Nurnberg have not have the greatest start to their preparations for the forthcoming season.
Firstly beating Viktoria Aschaffenburg 2-0, they then followed it up with a 3-0 humbling at the hands of Bulgarian powerhouses Ludogorets.
Another defeat, this time to Austrian side WSG Tirol, with no goals scored spurred some transfer activity for the Germans as they added some attacking options.
    Looking to rediscover greatness
Nurnberg prepare for another campaign under 37-year-old manager Robert Klauss after a bitterly disappointing end to the 2021-22 campaign.
That is one thing both of these sides share in common as they try to get themselves somewhere towards their eras of dominance.
Both managers will be keen to ensure their squads are ready for the long haul this season and not to fall short again.

    Hosts have some history
Nurnberg were the dominant force in German football in the 1920s but are now preparing for their fourth consecutive season in the second-tier of the German league.
The nine-time Bundesliga champions have made sporadic appearances in the top flight over the past decade and will have their eyes on promotion for the 2022/23 campaign.
A lot has happened in the world since their domination of the German game.

Three amigos join each other on bench
Much was the anticipation of many Arsenal fans to see Jesus lead the attack today but Mikel Arteta had different ideas.
Gabriel, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli all start on the bench.
Meanwhile, FC Nurnberg seem to playing their cards close to their chest as their team sheet is nowhere to be seen.

Also eliminated are Latifi and Zhou.

The knives are out for the McLaren man, who has not delivered since his move from Renault.
He currently sits in the drop zone. Another Q1 exit will only pile on the pressure.
    Hamilton looking solid
The Mercedes man was in the mix during practice but he has gone quickest so far.
In the drop zone are: Verstappen, Vettel, Albon, Stroll, Latifi and Norris.
We still have five minutes to go…

    Verstappen stokes Hamilton rivalry
Max Verstappen has picked Sir Lewis Hamilton as the “biggest show off” in Formula One.
Verstappen appears to have completed a survey for the Dutch Grand Prix’s official Instagram and ended up adding even more fuel to his ongoing rivalry with Hamilton.

The Dutchman was asked to name the sport’s “biggest show off” and he ticked Hamilton’s name.

    Sainz Sr in scary crash
The father of Formula One star Carlos Sainz was involved in a terrifying car crash with chiefs now promising to investigate the incident.
Carlos Sainz Sr, 60, races for Acciona | Sainz XE Team in the Extreme E off-road series and was competing in the Final of the Island X-Prix in Sardinia, Italy when the smash occurred yesterday.
Sainz was in the lead when he was hit by Rosberg X Racing’s Johan Kristoffersson, causing his car to flip.
The Spaniard, who just days ago watched his boy win his first-ever F1 Grand Prix at Silverstone, was left momentarily trapped in the wrecked motor before he was finally able to exit it by himself.
Sainz Sr was instantly taken to hospital, while Kristoffersson received a 30-second penalty as he earned his team a third-place finish.
Sainz Sr later eased fears over his condition later that evening on social media – but he slammed the penalty decision.

Green flag – we are going again
What looked like a long black piece of rubber has been removed from the kerbs and we are now back up to speed.
Slight odd one though. I am sure the stewards will be checking that kerb properly once the session is over.
Red Flag – debris on track
Some piece of body work is on the edge of turn six and the practice session has been stopped to remove it.

No signs of any flames of smoke but he has pulled over and is out of his car.
Not a great start to the weekend for the Brit.
    Sprint to the finish
In the sprint races so far, we saw Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen collide in Silverstone and Monza while in Sao Paulo Hamilton went from the back to the front of the short race.
So, history says these have a fundamental part in upping the excitement. But let’s see here.
Many are predicting a routine win for Verstappen. He is already the quickest man on track. He is in P1 ahead of Charles Leclerc and Fernando Alonso in third.
We still have over 40 minutes to go, so those times will drop.

The Blues decided to push ahead with a bid for Ronaldo after club boss Thomas Tuchel and owner Todd Boehly discussed his recruitment.
    Good morning Chelsea fans
Manchester City ace Raheem Sterling has reportedly agreed personal terms with Chelsea.
According to Sky Sports, a fee for Sterling is expected to soon be confirmed with City.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims the final fee will be around £45million.
Romano added that the forward will be among the Blues’ best paid players in the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have made a transfer bid for Sporting Lisbon ace Matheus Nunes.
The Blues’ boss Thomas Tuchel has focused on repairing his decimated defence after losing Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.
The West Londoners are haggling over the price of Juventus’ Matthijs De Ligt and Sevilla’s Jules Kounde.
But it seems like Tuchel also wants to add reinforcement in midfield and that is why the club has turned its focus on £42.8m-rated Nunes.
That’s according to A Bola, who report Chelsea hope an initial bid of £38.6m, plus £4.2m in add-ons, will be enough to entice the Lisbon giants into letting him leave.
And Chelsea transfer target De Ligt has his heart set on joining Bayern Munich but Juventus’ asking price could scupper the move.
The centre-back has been heavily linked with a summer exit from Juve after admitting he may reject a new contract offer.
That is according to Bild’s Christian Falk, who reports that the Netherlands international wants to sign for Bayern but the club may not be able to afford him.
Falk tweeted: “Matthijs de Ligt told @juventusfc that he wants a transfer to @FCBayern. Juve and Bayern are now in contact. But: Bayern won‘t pay the requested amount of €70m.”
He added: “@FCBayern know that @ChelseaFC is also interested in Matthijs de Ligt and Chelsea can offer a higher transfer-fee.
“But Bayern know that the player would prefer to move to Munich if the clubs can agree on a deal.”
Finally, Manchester United star and Chelsea target Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t show up for a third time after announcing his desire to leave.
Ronaldo has been allowed extra time off by United due to family reasons.
The star forward was initially due back on Monday along with the rest of the players who were given additional time off after international duty.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is nowhere to be seen for the third day in a row.
The Portugal captain has since been practicing at his country’s national training ground in Lisbon
    Ard and fast
Chelsea have declared an interest in Bayern Munich star Benjamin Pavard.
Pavard has held discussions with Bayern about leaving Munich this summer.
According to Sky Germany, the negotiations “do not rule out a separation” as the full-back is unhappy at potentially losing his place in the team after Noussair Mazraoui’s arrival from Ajax.
Chelsea are said to have already “signalled an interest” in the France International, whose deal runs until 2024 but the club could cash in if he remains unhappy
    Sterling shouldn’t go
Manchester City shouldn’t let Chelsea transfer target Raheem Sterling go, according to Anton Ferdinand.
Ferdinand told Sky Sports: “Me personally, if I’m Man City, I’m keeping him. I would try everything I can to tie him down to a new contract.
“He’s a fantastic player, he’s also a consistent performer and someone who has done it over the years in the Premier League.
“So, for Man City to be wanting to or happy to get rid of him, that shocks me.
“But as we know, they’ve got an abundance of depth in them areas of the pitch. If he goes, then they’ve got someone of great quality to come in and take his place”
    Lionesses receive star support
Chelsea star Mason Mount showed support as he joined Tottenham ace Harry Kane in urging the nation to roar on the Lionesses in their Euro 2022 opener.
Mount donned the shirt of Stamford Bridge striker Fran Kirby before Wednesday’s clash with Austria at a 74,000 sell-out Old Trafford.
The attacking midfielder paraded his backing on Instagram by posing like a fan in Kirby’s top.
Kane and one of his most famous predecessors Wayne Rooney also got behind Sarina Wiegman’s team.
And the England captain posted a video on his Twitter page in the hope of whipping up Euro 2020-style fervour for the Lionesses.
Kane said: “Just want to send a message out to England women’s team, obviously they’re getting their Euros campaign started.
“I just want to wish them all the best. It’s a home tournament as well so it’s going to be an incredible atmosphere and I’m just urging all the fans to go out there and support them. Make them feel at home.
“All the best from me and the team. We’ll be watching and cheering you guys on. Have an amazing time, and good luck!”

    Jorginho set for contract talks
Chelsea star Jorginho has made it his “priority” to remain at Stamford Bridge with talks to extend his contract planned to take place in September.
The 30-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Blues having entered the final 12 months of his contract.
Juventus have been touted as a possible destination as they look to bring the midfielder back to Italy.
But despite interest from Juve, the Italy international’s agent Joao Santos has insisted his client only wants to stay at Chelsea
    Bax to the future
Chelsea goalkeeper Nathan Baxter has been shipped out on his eighth loan spell away from Stamford Bridge after returning to Hull.
Baxter, 23, who has been at the club since 2006, is still yet to feature for the Blues’ first team.
Last year he established himself as the No1 at Championship side Hull, where he featured in 18 games in all competitions.
A club statement read: “Hull City are delighted to announce the return of goalkeeper Nathan Baxter on a season-long loan from Chelsea, with an option to buy included as part of the deal”
    Matthaus on Ronaldo
Bayern Munich legend Lothar Matthaus would love to have Manchester United star and Chelsea target Cristiano Ronaldo at the Allianz Arena.
Matthaus said: “Ronaldo to Bayern would be sexy.
“If Bayern are of the opinion that Ronaldo is still physically able to really help for a year or two and that they can invest the transfer fee generated for Lewandowski more or less like-for-like, I would think about it.
“He’s one of the best strikers of all-time and would certainly score around 30 goals.”

“Don’t underestimate Austria, they are a very strong team. Overall I’m just happy.
“It was a great goal [by Beth Mead] and a great finish. Staying calm was the hard part as the ball bounced and she had to control it.

    Why Arsenal didn’t sign Bissouma
Arsenal didn’t sign former Brighton star Yves Bissouma because they’re focused on recruiting Leicester ace Youri Tielemans.
That’s the view of Arsenal icon Kevin Campbell who made the claims when asked why the Gunners didn’t battle Tottenham for Bissouma.
Campbell explained to the Highbury Squad: “I think we bypassed Bissouma because we want Tielemans.
“We want more of a progressive player in that midfield, somebody who can do the job in midfield but somebody who is going to be a goal-threat”
    Arsenal eye two more transfers
Arsenal are aiming to make two more signings before the summer transfer window shuts.
That’s according to Gunners legend Paul Merson who claims the club’s transfer supremo Edu gave him the heads up during a conversation last weekend.
Merson said: “They are looking good. I’ve seen Edu on Sunday and we had a little chat. I think they’ve bought well, they’re trying to get a couple more players in.”
But Merson remained tight-lipped when pressed on who the new arrivals will be out of respect for Edu.
The pundit added: “I can’t say that, he was talking to me in confidence”

    Jack Wilshere’s future
Former Arsenal star Jack Wilshere opened up about his future after leaving AGF.
Wilshere is a free agent once more at the age of 30 amid an injury-plagued career.
The midfielder is now considering all of his options as he looks for his next challenge.
Wilshere added: “Personally I am considering all of my options”
    Hi the road Jack
Former Arsenal star Jack Wilshere has “mutually agreed” to leave AGF after less than five months.
Wilshere, who has been plagued by injuries throughout his career, only joined the Danish outfit back in February.
The midfielder played 14 league matches for the team but has now confirmed his departure after just 136 days as his short-term deal expired.
Speaking on Instagram, Wilshere said: “My time at @agffodbold has come to an end. Myself and the club have mutually agreed it’s best for me to move on.
“I would like to thank everybody at AGF for the support and confidence they gave me from day one.
“The club showed trust in me that not many others were willing to give.
“Although results were hard to come by the fans support of me and the team was unbelievable.
“Thank you guys for welcoming me into your club and city. I wish you all the best in the future”

Former Arsenal ace Serge Gnabry is set to hold crunch talks with Bayern Munich as he enters the final 12 months of his contract.
Gnabry has been linked with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and the Gunners.
Bayern, though, are keen to keep hold of the winger and are planning a meeting with him as well as his representatives, according to Bild.
The German champions are keen for the Germany international to extend his contract in order to fight off interest from elsewhere.
Outside of the Premier League, Real Madrid have also been credited with an interest in the forward
    Christ on a bike
Arsenal stars have been working hard in Germany ahead of their first pre-season friendly on Friday.
The Gunners are set to take on Nuremberg for their first taste of pre-season action at the Max-Morlock-Stadion.
There were some new faces in the camp including star signing Gabriel Jesus, who was only announced on Monday.
Jesus’ fellow Brazilian and summer signing Marquinhos is also enjoying his first pre-season as a Gooner and was spotted juggling a ball with his head.
After training, the squad and manager Mikel Arteta went for a leisurely bike ride, taking in some of the sights around Nuremberg

    More from Szczesny
Former Arsenal ace Wojciech Szczesny shared another major revelation about his current club Juventus.
Szczesny believed Juve had bugged his car at one point though he was no longer convinced at this idea.
The goalkeeper added: “I’ve had it three or four times where I come back home go for dinner with your wife go into training the next day and it’s like ‘how was the restaurant yesterday?’ – how do you know that?
“I was actually convinced, I’m not anymore, but I was sure they had GPS in our car”
    Szczesny fine revelation
Former Arsenal ace Wojciech Szczesny revealed he was fined £34,000 for being late to training at Juventus.
Szczesny told CANAL+ SPORT in an interview alongside Juve team-mate Weston McKennie: “We’ve both paid the share for being late quite heavily.
“He paid more but he was more late, a lot more.
“I paid 40 (thousand euros). I was late by one minute and 53 seconds and as I went in I looked at the clock and it was 18:01:53”
    Jesus’ holy trinity
Arsenal had to fend off interest from three other clubs to secure a deal for Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City.
Three other teams tried to hijack the move, but Jesus only had eyes for the Gunners, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
While the trio of suitors was not named, Tottenham and Chelsea were rumoured to be keen on the striker’s signature.
However, the North Londoners managed to get their man for £45million

    Work of Mart
Manchester United are set to complete the “final paperwork” ahead of Ajax star and Arsenal target Lisandro Martinez joining the club.
It appears United have finally come out on top ahead of the Gunners in the race to sign Martinez, who is estimated to be valued at around £40million.
According to journalist Rudy Galetti, it is merely a “matter of time” until the deal is done.
Galetti also insists that the final paperwork still needs to be done but that the deal will be clinched “soon”
    Youri Tielemans EXCLUSIVE
Arsenal have stepped up their interest in Leicester star Youri Tielemans and are ready to make a firm offer, according to SunSport’s Mark Irwin.
The Gunners are confident of sealing a £30million deal for Tielemans despite rival interest from Manchester United and Newcastle.
Manager Mikel Arteta has already been allowed to spend £83million this summer to beef up his squad and signed Gabriel Jesus, Fabio Vieira, Matt Turner and Marquinhos.
Now Arteta is turning his attention to strengthening his midfield and has been given the green light to make his next move in the market.
The Spanish head coach has turned to Tielemans after top target Ruben Neves was priced out of the market by Wolves’ £75m valuation.
The North Londoners have also explored the possibility of a bid for Lazio’s Sergej Malinkovic-Savic, but the Belgium international is preferred
    Up for sale
Arsenal are aiming to offload seven players to fund further spending in the summer transfer window.
Record signing Nicolas Pepe, Bernd Leno, Hector Bellerin, Lucas Torreira, Pablo Mari, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Reiss Nelson are all available for transfer.
But all seven players have so far failed to attract any serious offers from other clubs.
The Gunners need more funds after missing out on Champions League football
    Not so Grim
Arsenal are monitoring the transfer situation of Benfica ace Alex Grimaldo.
Grimaldo is reportedly available for as little as £6million this summer as a whole host of clubs line up a potential bid for the left-back.
According to Record, the Gunners are ‘attentive to the situation,’ while Lyon are also on the list of interested clubs.
The Spaniard has one year left on his current deal and unless he signs a new one Benfica would lose him for nothing next summer, a situation the Eagles would like to avoid

    Lisandro Martinez latest
Ajax star Lisandro Martinez has told the club that he wants to quit and move to the Premier League.
Martinez is wanted by both Manchester United and Arsenal to boost their defence.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano tweeted: “Lisandro Martínez, back in Holland today – he’s been very clear with Ajax telling the club that he only wants to leave to try his first Premier League experience.
“Manchester United are pushing as [Erik] ten Hag wants Lisandro as priority – Arsenal, still there fighting.”
And The Mirror also report that Martinez “pleaded” with Ajax to “grant him his wish” to play in the Premier League
    Saka here to stay
Arsenal will tie Bukayo Saka down to a new deal in the next six months.
That’s according to Gunners legend Kevin Campbell, who thinks Saka’s not going anywhere despite his contract situation.
Campbell said: “He is already under contract.
“These things are not just going to get done in a couple of months. These things could take six months but Arsenal are not, trust me, they are not going to sell Saka in this window.
    “No chance. No chance”
    Paqueta snubs Arsenal
Lyon star Lucas Paqueta has snubbed the chance to join Arsenal and other Premier League clubs.
The Gunners and Tottenham were both keen, while Manchester City also allegedly made contact with Paqueta’s camp over a potential move.
Now ESPN Brazil claims that the midfielder is set to remain at the Groupama Stadium.
The report states that none of the English trio were able to advance talks with the the Brazil international’s representatives over a deal
    Real plan Asensio exit
Real Madrid want to cash in on Marco Asensio this summer amid interest from Arsenal.
Asensio is keen to move in search of more game time with Liverpool and AC Milan also believed to be interested.
The winger has just one year remaining on his contract, which is why Real are willing to let him go.
And according to Tuttomercato Los Blancos will sell the Spain international if they receive a bid worth £22million.
The 26-year-old was offered a new deal by the reigning European champions but he has missed the deadline of June 20 to put pen to paper.
The Spaniard wanted a wage increase and is eager for more game time, which he might be more likely to find elsewhere

    Arsenal ship out youngster
Arsenal youth star Ovie Ejeheri has joined Chelmsford City on a short term loan deal.
The 19-year-old stopper joined the Gunners’ academy aged eight, but he’s been shipped out until January.
It’s unclear at this point if he has a future with the club who revealed they’re looking forward to watching his development at the Essex-based side over the ensuing months.
    Prem clubs in Raphinha boost
Chelsea and Arsenal have been handed in a huge boost in their respective pursuit of Leeds ace Raphinha.
That’s because Barcelona have been given until Thursday to mount a bid for the winger by Leeds.
Both Chelsea and the Gunners have presented substantial offers for Raphinha who is holding out for a move to Barca.
However Leeds are growing frustrated with the Catalan giants and have given them the imminent ultimatum to begin business, according to Mundo Deportivo.
    Arsenal starlet’s swan son
Former Arsenal academy starlet Zak Swanson has revealed his desire to help Portsmouth get into the Championship next season.
The 21-year-old joined the Gunners in 2007 as a youth before signing a professional contract 12 years later.
But he moved to Pompey on Tuesday to seek regualr first-team football.
And he’s revealed his ambitious intent out the gate, saying: “The level is excellent. There’s some top players here who have played at a higher level.
“I can see the level is good and I think we could do good things this season.
“The aim is clear – to go up to the Championship.”
    Arsenal ‘were offered Lenglet transfer’
Arsenal were offered the chance to sign Tottenham-bound Clement Lenglet, reports claim.
Lenglet’s move to White Hart Lane is on the brink of completion.
But it couldn’t been a different outcome if the Gunners pounced when they had the chance.
The Barcelona ace was presented to the Gunners but they opted to pursue Lisandro Martinez instead.
That’s according to football journalist Ryan Taylor, who said: “Lenglet has effectively been told by Barcelona he is free to find another club.
“And that saw him offered around to a number of clubs earlier in the window: including Spurs, Arsenal and Juventus.”
    Arsenal plan to sell duo
Arsenal are planning to offload a number of fallen stars to balance the books following a busy transfer market.
The Gunners have already brought in Fabio Vieira, Marquinhos, and Gabriel Jesus.
They are also keen on Youri Tielemans and Lisandro Martinez.
But Mikel Arteta wants to shed the dead weight from his squad to accomadate the new arrivals.
Among those Arteta’s keen to sell is Reiss Nelson and Alex Runarsson, Goal claim.
    Jesus seen on bike
The Arsenal squad has been working hard in Germany ahead of their first pre-season friendly on Friday.
Arsenal are set to take on Nuremberg for their first taste of pre-season action at the Max-Morlock-Stadion.
And the sun has been out in Germany as the Gunners squad trained in preparation.
There were some new faces in the camp including Gabriel Jesus, who was only announced as an Arsenal player on Monday.
His compatriot and fellow summer signing Marquinhos is also enjoying his first pre-season as a Gooner and was spotted juggling a ball with his head.
Nuno Tavares also posed for a photo alongside Emile Smith Rowe but fellow Hale End graduate Bukayo Saka was absent.

    Szczensy reveals shock Juventus fine
Ex-Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has revealed he was FINED £34,000 for being late to training at Juventus.
The 32-year-old revealed in an interview alongside fellow Juventus star Weston McKennie he had paid the price of being late to training under current boss Massimiliano Allegri.
In the interview with CANAL+ SPORT he said: “We’ve both paid the share for being late quite heavily.
“He paid more but he was more late, a lot more.
“I paid 40 (thousand euros). I was late by one minute and 53 seconds and as I went in I looked at the clock and it was 18:01:53.”
    Real Madrid plan Asensio exit
Real Madrid want to cash in on Marco Asensio this summer amid transfer interest from Arsenal and Liverpool.
The Spaniard, 26, is keen to move in search of more game time with AC Milan also believed to be interested.
Asensio has just one year remaining on his contract which is why Real Madrid are willing to let him go.
And according to Tuttomercato Los Blancos will sell the winger if they receive a bid worth £22million.

    Walt a good idea
Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo became the player he is today courtesy of former assistant Walter Smith, according to Darren Fletcher.
Fletcher told beIN SPORTS: “For me it was Walter Smith. Walter Smith joined as assistant manager around Christmas time, New Year time.
“With Ronaldo, you could see the talent and the ability. The players were part of the reason he signed in that pre-season game against Sporting Lisbon when he tore us apart.
“We’d just arrived off an aeroplane, jet-lagged from America. That’s John O’Shea’s excuse!
“But you could see the talent. You could see this charismatic kid, you could see he had that drive to be the best player in the world – but he frustrated the life out of everybody.
“Eventually, Walter Smith came in and decided not to give fouls in training. I think the sole purpose was for Ronaldo. So when Ronaldo was doing his skills, not passing the ball and taking the mick, the lads were fouling him.
“For two weeks, Ronaldo was tearing his hair out – and he was going bananas! What happened after a few weeks? Ronaldo starts moving the ball because he’s sick of being kicked.
“Now he starts playing one or two-touch and running, now he starts getting more goals and it’s clicking in his head, he’s having more of an impact on games. That was the beginning of Ronaldo’s transition”

    Ronaldo exit could be ‘beneficial’
But McManaman reckons Ronaldo’s exit could benefit Man United and new boss Erik ten Hag.
The ex-Real Madrid ace added to Horseracing.net: “He’s a superstar but if Manchester United could recoup their money, a new manager coming in might be better to say ‘OK, a new start. Get rid of everybody who doesn’t want to be here. Let’s start afresh’.
“That’s cool and might be beneficial to Ten Hag. Secretly he might be thinking, ‘this is amazing’.
“But how this deal is going to materialise when you look at the bigger picture, I just can’t see how it’s going to turn out.
“You can see Ronny wanting to play in the Champions League but, sometimes, you can’t get what you want.”
    Ronaldo faces new club challenge
Cristiano Ronaldo could struggle to find a new club amid reports he wants to leave Man United.
That’s according to Liverpool legend Steve McManaman who told horseracing.net: “Ronny’s 37. I completely understand that he wants to carry on playing in the Champions League but firstly I wouldn’t know who would take him.
“The deal would be big. Manchester United have given him a lot of money in wages. I have no idea who would pay half-a-million a week, for one more year.”
    Gnabry set for crunch talks
Serge Gnabry is reportedly set to hold crunch talks with Bayern Munich as he enters the final 12 months of his contract.
The 26-year-old winger has been linked with the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal AND Manchester City.
Bayern though are keen to keep hold of the former Arsenal man – who scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists in all competitions last season.
The Bundesliga champions are planning a meeting with Gnabry and his representatives, according to German outlet Bild.
They are keen for Gnabry to extend his contract in order to fight off interest from elsewhere.
    Lingard to West Ham discussed
West Ham should should end their interest in Jesse Lingard if he’s not committed to joining the club.
That’s according to Hammers legend Frank McAvennie.
He told West Ham Zone: “I don’t know what’s happening with Lingard, I think that’s a funny one. Me personally, I don’t know if I’d pursue that.
“I just think he’s, it’s as if he’s waiting on other clubs coming in for him and it’s not happening. So I don’t want us to be a club which is ‘the only ones that wanted me,’ sort of thing.
“West Ham have gone by that now. If you don’t want to come to West Ham then go elsewhere.
“They shouldn’t pursue somebody that doesn’t want to go, but you never know what’s been said between David Moyes and Lingard. I don’t know whether he’s on holiday again, or what the situation is.
“I’d like to think if he’s stalling, then West Ham should pull the plug on him.”
    Fans joke on Pogba return
Fans are convinced Paul Pogba’s return to Juventus means one thing… a record move back to Manchester United.
The Red Devils forked out £89million to sign Pogba from Juve back in 2016 after letting him join the Italians for free four years earlier.
Football fans though have been unable to resist poking fun at United for losing the Frenchman yet again.
In response to the news Pogba had agreed to join Juve, one wrote on social media: “We will see him back at Man Utd in 2025 for £120m.”
Another added: “Then Utd will pay £200mil to buy him back.”
And a third joked: “How many years til he’s back at Utd?”
    Doubts cast over Ronaldo transfer
Cristiano Ronaldo may not get minutes he wants on the pitch with potential suitors Chelsea, Lee Sharpe believes.
He told bettors.ng: “I’m not sure. If he goes to Chelsea, I don’t think he’ll play every game.
“I’m not sure he’ll be too happy about that. We saw the disappointment last season where he was brought off last season as a substitute.
“If that’s his only option and he fancies a year or two in London, then who knows. But I would say that he is keeping his options open at the moment to find out what’s on the table.”
    Positives from possible Ronaldo exit
However, Ronaldo’s exit from United could work out in the club’s favour, Sharpe believes.
He added to bettors.ng: “As far as the team goes, they will struggle because of the number of goals he brings to the team.
“But because of the age of him, I think they will be able to bring in someone a bit younger that possibly could play on that front foot and get the ball back and play the high pressing game, which Ronaldo is a little bit old to play.
“Disappointing in one way, but could possibly work out for the better in the end for the team.”
    Ronaldo’s exit decision questioned
Cristiano Ronaldo’s decision to leave Man United seems “funny and weird” to club legend Lee Sharpe.
Sharpe told bettors.ng: “I think it’s a funny thing to come out with right now. Ronaldo has come out and said he wanted to play Champions League football for the rest of his career.
“He knew, even before the end of last season, that Manchester United weren’t going to be playing Champions League and didn’t ask for a transfer.
“The manager has just come in, and he hasn’t even been in training yet. It seems a bit of a weird one.”
    De Jong speculation runs rife
Man United fans have joked that Frenkie de Jong has confirmed on social media he is heading to Old Trafford.
Eagle-eyed supporters noticed De Jong liked Tyrell Malacia’s Instagram post confirming he had signed for United.
Thousands of fans, including De Jong, liked the 22-year-old’s post after his move was made official.
The move has left some supporters believing De Jong might not be far behind Malacia.
One Man Utd fan account wrote on social media: “We see you @DeJongFrenkie21.”
    Another said: “He is joining.”
    Paqueta ‘snubs several Prem clubs’
Lucas Paqueta has reportedly snubbed the chance to join Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City.
North London rivals Arsenal and Spurs were both keen, while Man City also allegedly made contact with the player’s camp over a potential move.
Now ESPN Brazil claims that Paqueta is set to remain at Lyon.
They state that none of the English trio were able to advance talks with the South American’s representatives over a deal.
    Ten Hag rips into squad
Erik ten Hag might have just realised the size of the job he’s got on his hands at Manchester United.
