    Arsenal stats
As said earlier, Arsenal have won both of their first two Premier League matches against Crystal Palace and Leicester with Mikel Arteta’s men scoring six goals and conceding twice.
The Gunners are looking to start a season with three straight Prem wins for the first time in 18 years.
And the North Londoners could keep a clean sheet in their opening two away league games for the first time since 1993.
Arsenal haven’t drawn any of their last 19 Premier League fixtures, which is the longest such run in the division

    Bournemouth stats
Bournemouth won their first Premier League match since their return from the Championship as they beat Aston Villa 2-0 at Dean Court before losing 4-0 to Manchester City away.
The Cherries are unbeaten in their past 11 home league matches and won seven times along the way.
The hosts’ most recent home defeat was a 1-0 loss by Boreham Wood in the fourth round of the FA Cup in February.
But Scott Parker’s men have amassed a mere 10 shots in their opening two Premier League games, which is the fewest in the division

    Head to head
Bournemouth and Arsenal’s first ever encounter took place way back in 1987 during a third-round match in the League Cup that saw the latter winning 3-0 at home.
Since then the two sides have faced off a total of 12 times with the Gunners winning a vast majority of nine matches, compared to the Cherries’ one and only victory.
And that took place in 2018 as they won 2-1 at Dean when Court Callum Wilson and Jordon Ibe cancelled out Hector Bellerin’s opener.
But since then the North Londoners have won four of their five matches across all competitions

    Good afternoon from Bournemouth
Welcome to SunSport’s live blog coverage of the Premier League clash between Bournemouth and Arsenal at Dean Court.
The Gunners are off to a flying start as they won both of their first two Prem fixtures against Crystal Palace and Leicester.
The North Londoners will be looking to extend their winning streak today and manager Mikel Arteta has no fresh injury concerns.
In fact, summer signing Fabio Vieira has made the squad and could finally make his debut after missing all of pre-season due to a foot injury.
Reiss Nelson is Arsenal’s sole absentee as he is still nursing a quad injury but other than that Arteta has a clean bill of health.
The Spanish tactician will of course have star signing Gabriel Jesus leading his attack after a stunning performance last week that saw him score a brace and complete two assists during a 4-2 victory against Leicester.
Bourneouth manager Scott Parker, on the other hand, will have to make a late call on Dominic Solanke’s fitness.
Solanke missed last week’s 4-0 thrashing by defending Premier League champions Manchester City due to an ankle injury.
Parker could hand a first start to summer signing Marcos Senesi, but fellow arrivals Ryan Fredericks and Joe Rothwell are out with a calf and quad injury respectively.
Jordan Zemura is not expected to return for the Cherries after recently testing positive for coronavirus

Crystal Palace 3 Aston Villa 1: Zaha at the double as he and Mateta run riot over Steven Gerrard’s Villa

WILFRIED ZAHA continued his fine start to the season with a brace to drag Crystal Palace from a goal down and claim a first win of the campaign against Aston Villa.Having bagged the opener at Liverpool on Monday night, Zaha looked at his best back on home turf.
Zaha netted twice to turn the game around for PalaceCredit: Reuters
Serenaded even before a ball was kicked, the Eagles star man scored a stunning solo goal moments after Ollie Watkins had opened the scoring.
He then kept his cool to slot home immediately after his second-half penalty had been saved before Jean-Phillipe Mateta secured the victory.
With the window still open and his contract up at the end of the year, questions will always hover over Palace’s hometown hero.
But for now Palace fans will just hope they can enjoy another rip-roaring year of their talisman, who is back to his best under Patrick Vieira.

Only Tottenham duo Heung-min Son and Harry Kane have scored more Prem goals than Zaha in 2022.
Palace and Zaha had to fight back from a slow start, however.
Leon Bailey, one of three Aston Villa changes, played a key role in the early opener, his deft header directing Tyrone Mings’ long ball through the Palace defence and into the path of Watkins.
The England striker had timed his run perfectly and fired a first-time finish low past Vicente Guaita to open his account for the season.

Zaha, though, is not one to ever be knowingly outdone and within two minutes offered his reply to Watkins’ fine finish with one of his own on the counter.
The Palace winger collected the ball from Edouard’s flick on the halfway line before going on a rampage.
He left Matty Cash in the dust before dragging Ezri Konsa wide and lashing the ball across Emiliano Martinez and into the far corner with his weaker left foot.
The Ivory Coast international was causing all sorts of bother down the left and Cash had to resort to clattering the winger, earning a ticking off from referee, Andy Madley.
Palace thought they had taken the lead from the resulting free-kick when Jeffrey Schlupp turned in Edouard’s cross.
Celebrations were cut short by VAR however, with Stockley Park spotting that Edouard was narrowly offside from the set piece.
Zaha was everywhere in the first half, nipping in behind and cutting the ball back for Jordan Ayew whose low shot was well stopped by Martinez.
Palace were reminded of the need to take their chances when on top minutes before the break when Buendia latched onto Cash’s cross 12-yards out and drew a stop from Guaita.
Either side of the Spaniard and Villa would have been ahead going into the interval.
Villa offered a threat after the break too – Bailey sending a dipping shot onto the bar.
After Edouard had wasted a fine chance from Ayew’s cut-back, Palace were handed a penalty by Lucas Dinge and VAR.
The French full-back was penalised for raising his hand to block Marc Guehi’s header from Eberechi Eze’s corner, though the Villa man’s arm was just a yard from the Palace defender.
Zaha’s spot kick was saved by Martinez before the Palace star slotted home the rebound and enraged the Villa keeper with a few choice words.
While the ruling around handball remains muddled and confusing and offered Villa excuses for a moan and groan – they could not grumble about the result.
The hosts were streets ahead of Villa here, confident and eye catching on the ball.

Palace put the three points out of reach with a wonderful move to tee up Mateta – who bagged with his first touch a minute after coming on.
Tyrick Mitchell exchanged a swift one-two with Zaha down the left before bending a cross around Mings and into the path of Mateta, who prodded in to complete a flowing move.
Vieira has ensured there are a fair few more threats in this Palace team than during the Roy Hodgson days – but there is little doubt that Zaha remains the most dangerous of them all.

Fulham 3 Brentford 2: Mitrovic grabs 90th-minute bullet header winner after Decordova-Reid opens scoring on 44 SECONDS

ALEKSANDAR MITROVIC got the last laugh over Ivan Toney with a last gasp winner in the first ever Prem meeting between Brentford and Fulham. Toney cheekily mocked Mitrovic’s goal celebration as he looked as though he had sealed an epic fightback for the Bees with a 71 minute equaliser to make it 2-2.
Aleksandar Mitrovic scored a last-gasp header as Fulham beat Brentford 3-2Credit: PA
It came after Fulham’s dream start of Bobby Decordova-Reid’s 50 SECOND opener and Joao Palhinha doubling the lead just 18 minutes later.
But plucky Brentford got back into it with a Christian Norgaard pulling one back on the stroke of half-time before Toney’s leveller.
Toney, who has tussled back and forth with Mitrovic for the Championship all-time scoring record, spun his hand around his ear in a nod to the Serbian’s signature Luca Toni celebration.
But he looked like a right mug as Mitrovic fired a bullet header in the dying seconds of normal time to claim bragging rights in West London.

Outside the fan bases of Fulham and Brentford, no one realises how intense their rivalry really is.
But as soon as the first whistle blew this match full of tackles, fouls boos and discontent was a London derby alright.
The opener all began with Andreas Pereira ruthlessly pouncing on a limp pass to tee up Mitrovic who linked up with Jay Stansfield.
The 19-year-old whizkid, on his full Prem debut, cracked a shot off the bar before Decordova Reid smashed home the rebound amid a desperate scramble.

If it hadn’t been for the heroics of David Raya the scoreline could have been a lot uglier as he kept out a string of chances from Pereira and Mitrovic before 15 minutes had gone.
The Serbia record goalscorer even slotted a Pereira free-kick into the net – but the flag went up for offside.
The hosts hit back again and Pereira whipped in another inch-perfect delivery right onto Joao Palhinha’s noggin who steered a peach of a header well beyond Raya on 19 minutes.
The combination of the summer newbies suggested Fulham may have finally got their Prem recruitment right at the third time lucky.
Tempers flared and Thomas Frank even started to lose his rag, remonstrating in the fourth official’s face.

Brentford’s work was undone by Mitrovic’s 90th minute headerCredit: Getty
Mitrovic missed a sitter from three-yards which once again had eyebrows raised over whether he can hack it in the Prem following his penalty miss at Wolves.
And Brentford got back into it just before the break as Norgaard ran into acres of free space and cracked home a Mathias Jensen corner.
The Bees must have felt the full wrath of fuming Frank at half-time because they looked like a new animal, nearly nicking the equaliser.
Toney latched onto a silky Rico Henry pass and twisting inside and out of Antonee Robinson before lashing a superb strike into the net.
He went to mock Mitrovic’s goal celebration but looked like a mug when VAR ruled him offside and chalked his goal off.
Despite breaking free on goal Mitrovic pinged another tame effort straight at Raya, and it was so poor the Spanish stopper laughed in his face.

And finally Toney struck his deserved leveller by coolly sweeping home Yoane Wissa’s pull-back on 71 minutes.
But he was silenced as vintage Mitrovic steered a crisp header into the net from Kevin Mbabu’s floating cross.

Leicester 1 Southampton 2: Che Adams scores twice against hometown club after Maddison free-kick to pile misery on Foxes

SAINTS supersub Che Adams came off the bench to dramatically down Leicester with a late double. The Scotland international earned Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side their first win of the season as Leicester let a lead slip through their fingers for the second home game.
Adams scored a brace to seal all three points for SouthamptonCredit: Getty
James Maddison’s stunning free kick appeared to set the Foxes up for a much-needed first win.
However Adams had other ideas after replacing new signing Sekou Mara on the hour.
He fired Saints level within eight minutes of entering the fray before stunning Leicester with a spectacular scissors kick six minutes from the end to ease the pressure on his gaffer.
It could have been even worse for the home side, who left to the sound of boos from their own support.
Adamas was cruelly denied his hat-trick with virtually the last kick of the game when he spun inside the box and whipped in a shot which beat Danny Ward, only to bounce off the base of the post.
Leicester couldn’t complain as they bucked under a late Southampton onslaught.
Foxes don’t quit according to Leicester City’s motto.
And evergreen striker Jamie Vardy proved it by agreeing a new deal which will take him to June 2024, when he will be 37.
However Wesley Fofana couldn’t have received the memo as he edged one step closer to the King Power exit door.
Brendan Rodgers left his 21-year-old French defender out of his matchday squad and Fofana watched from the main stand as his teammates lost the plot again on home turf.
The ball is now in Chelsea’s court to come up with the £85million bid which would seal the deal for one of the most promising kid defenders in Europe.
One way or another, Leicester need to sort out the situation because the longer it drags on the less time Rodgers will have to find a suitable replacement.
Ironically Saints equaliser after 68 minutes came from a Mo Salisu long throw which Fofana would have been expected to deal with if he had been in the thick of the action.
Instead Wilfred Ndidi watched the ball sail over his head and Saints defender Armel Bella-Kotchap held off his marker to force the ball to Che Adams.
The Southampton sub, who had only been on for eight minutes, expertly drilled a low shot which beat Danny Ward and although James Justin got a despairing touch to the ball he couldn’t keep it out.
Adams second strike was even better.
Kyle Walker-Peters laid the ball off to James Ward-Prowse who powered in a first time cross.
And Adams left his marker Timothy Castagne stunned with a spectacular scissors kick which flew past Ward.
Once again Fofana would have been expected to deal with the cross had he been around.
It was a well deserved and hard earned point for Saints who had fallen behind to another Leicester player whose future has yet to be resolved satisfactorily.
James Maddison remains the one bright spot in his side’s troubled start to the season.
He set his side up with a fabulous free kick as he sent a right-foot shot swerving low round Gavin Bazanu’s three man wall to leave Saints keeper looking a mug.
With someone of Maddison’s pedigree he needed at least one more brick in his wall.
That goal took Maddison’s tally to six goals and four assists in his last seven league appearances.
Rodgers will be praying Leicester can persuade the Newcastle target to commit his long-term future to the club.
However celebrating Saints fans wouldn’t bet on it as they taunted Foxes fans with chants of: “Wesley Fofana, he thinks that you’re sh*t!”

Steve Cooper’s Forest came into the game full of confidence after upsetting West Ham with a tight 1-0 win.
Both Jordan Pickford and Dean Henderson played their part in keeping the scoreline down.
But the deadlock was broken with less than ten minutes to go when Johnson latched onto Pickford’s spilled save to put the newly promoted side ahead.
It was looking like Cooper’s men would leave Merseyside with three valuable points, making it six from an available nine.
However, Pickford would redeem himself in the dying minutes.
The keeper played a long ball over the top of Forest’s defence for Gray to run onto.
The winger brought the ball down and fired past Henderson to snatch a point.

    Keep your heads up high
One thing Antonio Conte will need to manage here at Tottenham as well as his players is expectation of their fans.
At the end of the first half, Tottenham fans could be heard booing the players off the pitch.
This is a team who have qualified for Champions League football for the first time in a long time this season.
Demanding that they steamroll everyone who dare step in front of them is not realistic.
The players do not need fans turning on them if things aren’t going according to plan but get to behind them.
    Over to you Antonio….

    Time to make it Conte
For too long, Tottenham have been the runners-up of football.
Often giving their fans the feeling that something special is going to happen, only to fall at the final hurdle.
Now we are not going to say they could win the league, they probably cannot, but a trophy is not outside the realms of possibility this season.
A domestic cup would appease the fans for a few years more to allow the Conte rebuild to continue.
The revolution will not be televised
Tottenham are top of the Premier League.
By no means will that game ever be labelled a classic but Harry Kane has reached the milestone of being the Premier League’s highest scorer with one club.
Having not created much over the course of the 90 minutes, Spurs took their chance and got themselves the three points.
    Bruno Lage take note.

What a day to be a Tottenham fan with access to social media.
    Tottenham 1-0 Wolves
90+3. Considering the performance in the first half, Conte will be pleased how his players changed their game following his half time team talk.

Big chance for the visitors to get something from this game.

Conte’s blood pressure must be of concern to any onlooking cardiologist.
Every time the camera pans onto him, he is going mental about something.
    Tottenham 1-0 Wolves

He beats Dier and runs towards goal before threading it into the path of Dendoncker.
Sadly the Wolves man could not adjust his feet quick enough to react.
    Tottenham 1-0 Wolves
    77. Bruno Lage will feel they have let themselves down today.
They have dominated possession for large spells without having anything to show for it.

    Tottenham 1-0 Wolves
    75. This has been a tough test for Tottenham.
They cannot let their guard down now as this Wolves team has got a goal in them now with Jimenez on the pitch.

Making the beautiful game more like a sport designed by board game manufacturers.
    Tottenham 1-0 Wolves
    69. Perisic cuts in from the left hand side.
He drops his shoulder and beats his man.
Looking to thread in Hojbjerg, he surely had to shoot himself there.

They have something to hang onto.
After that dire first half performance, three points must be key.
    Tottenham 1-0 Wolves
    65. Brilliant play by Perisic at the front post with the flick-on to create the goal for Kane.
The England man could not miss there and scores Tottenham’s 1,000th goal in the Premier League at home.

    Tottenham 0-0 Wolves
    63. The Spurs fans boo as Sa takes an age with the goal kick.
Seems as though officials are fine with blatant timewasting this term.
Spurs are knocking on the door here.
    Tottenham 0-0 Wolves
    62. The game is all set up for one goal winning this.
Either side could get that goal with Wolves still looking dangerous on the counter.
The ball finds Kane in the box but as he tries to unleash his shot it is blocked and cleared.
    Tottenham 0-0 Wolves
    60. Wolves are doing well to prevent Spurs getting balls into the box.
Blocking the efforts time and time again.
Kane is appealing for a handball but the referee is not interested at all.

“I am 100 per cent ready to 12 rounds anything less than that is a bonus.”

    Weight is over
Joshua has packed on 4lbs in his effort to bully and KO Oleksandr Usyk tonight.
The 32-year-old Watford ace was 240lbs – 17st 2lbs – for his September loss to the 35-year-old Ukraine king in September.
And he stripped his top off – but left on his trousers and pants – to make 244lbs on Friday afternoon in Jeddah, before staring down his 13lbs lighter foe.

So Oleksandr Usyk didn’t put on the pounds after all…

Wil Usyk really be coming in a STONE heavier?
Not long to go until we find out…
    Holyfield previews the big one
Boxing legend Evander Holyfield has spelled out what Antony Joshua needs to do to defeat Oleksandr Usyk.
Holyfield told Sky Sports: “He [Joshua] has to fight like a big guy.
“He can’t sit there and play tag with this guy. He’s got to hit him with big shots.
“It’s like having a little brother, when you try to grab him if you don’t keep up he moves too much, you have got to grab him and put all that weight on him.”

    Last time out
Usyk tipped the scales at 15st 8lbs for their first fight one year ago.
But this time he could be nearly a whole stone heavier with the Ukrainian ace looking to have bulked up considerably.
AJ was 17st 2lbs last time, and has been looking even trimmer in recent pictures.

    Deontay WIlder predicts
Wilder, who makes his big return to the ring on October 15, has made his prediction for tomorrow night.
Wilder, 36, told FightHype: “I’m going with Usyk in this fight. I’ve said that after that fight and I’m sticking with my word on this one.
“Usyk just looks more confident than ever now and when you look at Joshua he just looks like a different man.”

    Joshua’s new trainer on Usyk
Anthony Joshua’s new trainer is the first to admit his man’s preparation has been far from perfect.
No-nonsense Robert Garcia replaced Team GB mastermind Robert McCracken for AJ’s must-win world heavyweight title rematch against Oleksandr Usyk tomorrow night.
Garcia said: “The whole boxing world knows he can’t outbox Usyk. So we have to put smart pressure on him.
“Usyk is a very talented fighter, his combinations, he has a great jab, a great straight-right hand, right hands to the body, stuff like that.
“Instead of training to box, we have to train for a fight going forward. But we are also not going in to become a brawler, we have to do it smart.”

    Joshua on Fury fight

The Gypsy King called time on his glistening career in April after brutally knocking out Dillian Whyte at Wembley to retain his WBC title.
Speaking on a media call ahead of his rematch to face Usyk, Joshua was asked whether he can bring Fury out of retirement should he beat the unbeaten Ukrainian.`
To which a laughing AJ said: “Yeah I can bring him out of retirement, 100 per cent.

    Joshua taking pay cut
AJ is banking a basic £33.2million for tomorrow’s Saudi-funded showdown with Oleksandr Usyk — a pay cut of £13m!
The Watford man trousered £46m when he regained his world heavyweight titles from Andy Ruiz Jr in Riyadh three years ago.
But now AJ, beaten by Usyk 11 months ago, has been forced to take a lesser amount as he tries to get the WBA, IBF and WBO belts back from the Ukrainian warrior.
Usyk will bag the same £33.2m pay packet as the challenger when the pair clash in Jeddah.
And the victor is in line for a bonus based on the pay-per-view buys on Sky Sports in the UK and on DAZN around the world.

    Tale of the tape
How the fighters compare ahead of tomorrow night’s big one.
Joshua, 32, was bettered over 12 rounds but has since changed trainers and vowed to come in with an all-new style.
Whereas Usyk, 35, appears to have bulked up in preparation for the rematch on Saturday in Saudi Arabia.

    Weigh to go!
Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk weigh in TODAY for their HUGE, huge rematch tomorrow night in Saudi Arabi.
Last time out, in September 2021, there was over a STONE of difference between the pair with AJ weighing in at 17st 2bs to Usyk’s 15st 8lbs.
But this time Usyk could weigh over 16st, with the Ukrainian hero looking to have bulked up considerably.
According to trainer Dave Coldwell, who coached Tony Bellew against the heavyweight champion, this is the wrong approach to take.
Coldwell said: “From an Usyk point of view, I get that he is going to be more aggressive and look to land bigger shots but with his mobility and speed being his two greatest assets they will take a hit.
“It’s going to slow him down, if you’re losing speed, you’re giving more options to be hit and not only that I believe that AJ really needs to focus on going to Usyk’s body to take away his legs.”
