Parker “still learning” as a fighter
Joseph Parker congratulated Joe Joyce on his victory but is determined to come back stronger than ever following the defeat.
He said: “He was put under a lot of pressure, so congratulations to him he is a hell of a fighter.
“I still feel like I’ve got a lot to give boxing, I’ve just got to keep working. He put the pressure on, when I came out I should have focused more, but he caught me with a few shots and it sort of changed from there.
“There’s no point dwelling on it, a loss is a loss but you’ve got to keep putting in the training and get back to work. If you dwell on it, then that will hold you back – it’s just a fight really.
“I’ll relax for a bit and when the time is right I’ll watch the fight over and look at what we did positive and negative and work on it, it’s all learning. Even though I’ve been champion of the world, I’m still learning as a fighter.”
    Joyce continued
“Both Usyk and Fury are tough fights because they are both at the absolute top level.
“They both have different strengths and weaknesses but are very different fighters.
“Fury is the tall switch hitter who can now bang a bit. Usyk is the smaller man but he’s the quicker southpaw.

Former world champion David Haye was full of praise for Joe Joyce, applauding his jab as well as his chin.
Haye also complimented the “punishment” Parker took but suggested he took a conclusive beating from Joyce.
Haye said: “It was perfect, he went out there and established his jab and completely took Parker’s heart away. Parker looked gassed out from the second round, from the second round he was looking uncomfortable.
“Joyce just continued to tap tap tap with that jab. They’re not massive shots but they’re shots from a big massive 19 stone man.
“Parker’s gonna have a hell of a headache tomorrow. You’ve gotta give Parker credit, he took so much punishment in that fight. I’m not sure what he’s gonna do going forward but that is as conclusive a beating as you could possibly ever wanna see.
“We found out finally, does Joyce’s chin absorb world-class power? The answer is yes.”

Asakura even landed a perfect counter right hook, which snapped Mayweather’s head back in the second round.
But that actually proved to be the beginning of the end as the 50-0 boxing icon poured on the pressure.
Asakura had no defence for a barrage of right hands coming his way and he was eventually floored just as the bell sounded

    Start time: From 4am BST

He said: “Thank you so much for this opportunity. I witnessed a good exhibition and good promotion with RIZIN.
“Thank you for the chance and I hope this is not the last one.”

Round 2 – Action packed round! Mayweather lands a series of right hands to the head and body.

But right on the bell Mayweather FLOORS Asakura with a big right hand and leaves the Japanese star shaken.

    Floyd Mayweather vs Mikuru Asakura
Round 1 – Confident start from Asakura, who landed a couple of nice body shots.
Mayweather also evaded some wild left hands and came into it towards the end of the round.
He landed a few straight right hands to the body and followed up to the head, but nothing too troubling.

    Here we go
The national anthems are completed, now it’s time to fight.
Floyd Mayweather returns in his fourth boxing exhibition against MMA star Mikuru Asakura.
The bout is scheduled for three rounds.

    Tale of The Tape
Here is how the two compare with the bout moments away.
Mayweather is the shorter fighter at 5’8 compared to 5’9 Asakura, but he does have a 2in reach advantage.
The national anthems are being played in the ring right now ahead of the first bell.

    Floyd makes his entrance
Floyd Mayweather makes his walk to the ring, dressed in 50-0 attire.
He is joined by P-Reala, the co-creator of The Money Team and his trainer Gerald Tucker.
We’re moments away from the return on Mayweather.

    Here comes Asakura
The Japanese star has made his way to the ring and is ready to go.
Floyd Mayweather will shortly follow, three years after his last exhibition in Japan.
That night in Tokyo, Tenshin Nasukawa was dropped three times and stopped in one round.

    Oh Mann
Manny Pacquiao is in Japan to support Mikuru Asakura  against old rival Floyd Mayweather.
PacMan, beaten by Mayweather in 2015, took a seat ringside to watch the exhibition bout.
And at a pre-fight press conference, the famed boxing rivals teased a rematch.

    Warming up
Floyd Mayweather is preparing backstage with coach Gerald Tucker.
The pair were firing off combinations as Mayweather warms up for his latest exhibition bout.
Tucker cornered the American legend against Logan Paul and Don Moore.

    Wrapped and ready
Floyd Mayweather seen getting his hands wrapped ahead of the exhibition.
This will be the American’s fourth since retiring professionally in 2017 after beating Conor McGregor.
He faces Mikuru Asakura  next over three rounds in Japan.

    Sad to see
Floyd Mayweather’s bodyguard was beaten on the boxing legend’s undercard by an opponent FIVE STONE lighter.
Security man Ray “Jizzy Mack” Sadeghi faced Koji “Kouzi” Tanaka in an open-weight stand-up bout.
That is despite Sadeghi usually weighing over 14 stone, while Kouzi campaigns at 9st 9lb, meaning he is giving away almost FIVE STONE.
Although, Tanaka amazingly KOd Sadeghi in round three with an excellent left hook.

    Con job
Tonight will be Floyd Mayweather’s fourth exhibition since retiring professionally in 2017 after beating ex-UFC champion Conor McGregor.
Mayweather has faced featherweight kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, 24, Logan Paul, 27, and ex-sparring partner Don Moore.
But he could return for the first time to defend his historic 50-0 record amid talks for a rematch with McGregor.
He said: “Yes, it came to my attention. They talked about it being in Vegas, at the Allegiant Stadium.
“They talked about it being at the Allegiant Stadium. But if I’m not mistaken, Conor still has a problems with his leg.
“If it’s going to happen, it’s going to happen in 2023, not 2022.
“So this year I got an exhibition this Saturday, which will be in the US and once again it’s Sunday in Japan.
“Then after that in November I’ve got another exhibition in Dubai at the Coca-Cola Arena.
“And then hopefully me and Conor McGregor can lock up again in 2023, in a real fight actually.”

    Dej serious
Floyd Mayweather CONFIRMED he will fight YouTuber Deji in a shock exhibition bout in Dubai – before eyeing a rematch with Conor McGregor
The boxing legend has spoken out for the first time since it emerged he was in talks with Deji, brother of social media sensation KSI.
Now, Mayweather has revealed he WILL face Deji in the Middle East, set for November 13 after returning tonight.
He told TMZ Sports: “This Saturday – which in Japan – will be Sunday, I have an exhibition against a helluva fighter from Japan.
“I think he’s big in UFC and big on YouTube, so in the US, that will be Saturday but Japan it will be Sunday.
“And then I got one with the guy Deji – I want to make sure that his name is right – Deji, right?
“Yes, Deji. We will be doing an exhibition in Dubai at the Coca-Cola Arena and that is in November.”
    Credit: Misfits Boxing
    Taking the Mik
Mikuru Asakura is the MMA and YouTube star selected as Floyd Mayweather’s next exhibition opponent.
The southpaw has 16 wins, three losses and one no-contest in MMA.
He has two victories on the spin, most recently in December against Yutaka Saito, 34, who was the first man to ever beat Asakura in RIZIN.
But away from the ring, he is a popular YouTuber, with almost 3 MILLION subscribers.
Asakura mixes training videos with daily vlogs and even pranks and unsurprisingly has documented the lead up to his fight with Mayweather.
Like the boxing icon, Asakura also has a love for cars, posing alongside a Bentley and Mercedes on his Instagram.
The former MMA champion is joined in the sport by his younger brother Kai, 28, arguably the bigger name in the Far East.
Kai even posed with Mayweather and RIZIN president Nobuyuki Sakakibara in May, fuelling rumours of a future fight.
But it is brother Mikuru who faces the self-proclaimed Best Ever, and vows to pull of the upset.

    Go with the Flo
Floyd Mayweather has lived up to his “Money” nickname even into retirement.
The boxing legend officially hung up his gloves as a professional in 2017 after beating UFC legend Conor McGregor, 34, in a farewell fight.
However, it’s turned out that that money-spinning night in Las Vegas was not the final time fans got to see Mayweather, 45, in the ring.
And they will not have to wait long to see another boxing cameo from the American, who faces MMA star Mikuru Asakura, 30, tonight.
He faces Asakura over three rounds at the Saitama Super Arena, again promoted by RIZIN.

Joyce starts well, and Parker looks to be getting weaker and weaker.
Joyce is really going for it with relentless pressure now, he will not take a backwards step.
Parker does pretty well to try and come back, but he really cannot get at Joyce now.
The relentlessness of the juggernaut is being shown here in the eighth round.
Huge credit to Parker who is still there despite a cut on his face.
    A great round.
    Round Seven…
The jab has been key for Joyce tonight, who has had the ‘perfect fight’ so far according to David Haye.
Everything is bouncing off Joyce’s head at the moment.
A good right hand from Parker early in the seventh round.
    Joyce keeps on coming…

Parker looks like the one who is struggling, but then he comes back with a few good shots of his own and seems to spring into action.

Parker goes back to the ropes, and the bell comes not a moment too soon for him, as his right eye looks damaged.

    Round Four…
It’s two rounds to one in favour of Joyce for us right now.
Parker gets a very low punch in on Joyce.
Clever boxing on the outside from Joyce, who is respectful of Parker’s power, and knows that the right hand of Parker can cause serious damage.
It’s not really been emphatic one way or the other so far.

Joyce looked to settle into that one a bit more, Parker has some blood around his nose and his corner tell him to finish the rounds strong, as they are so close.

The feeling was that Parker was likely to start fast, and they are just feeling each other out in the early stages…
A nice jab from Joyce early in the round, followed by some decent body shots from Parker.
Parker gets a big right hand late on.
Three minutes over, they both had moments of success but Parker maybe just did enough to win that first round.

I want the last piece in the puzzle, to become undisputed, and then the rematch with Katie Taylor.”Amanda Serrano
    Amanda Serrano is the winner!
It was a dominant, confident performance from Serrano, who is deserving of the win for sure.
Huge credit goes to Mahfoud, who will come away with heaps of pride after that fight.
She wins it by unanimous decision.
It could be Katie Taylor again next, but we will wait and see…
    Round Ten…
Much better from Mahfoud, Serrano looks a bit stunned from one of those punches.
This has been a fantastic fight as we draw towards the final bell.

Great combination from Mahfoud, who was excellent in that round.
She has given a good account of herself in the second half of the fight, as Serrano seems to do her work and then sit back a bit more.
She needs to go for a knockout if she is going to win this it seems…
    Round Eight…
Serrano is looking comfortable at the end of this one, and tries to bring the uppercut through.
A few good shots from Mahfoud in this round, and it begs the question, if she had a bit more belief early on then this could be a closer fight than it is now.
    Round Seven…
Serrano is back into her groove in this round it seems, the last round could be a decision to have a bit of a rest and come back stronger.
That is a clear round in favour of Serrano.

    Goodnight from us
Thank you for keeping up with SunSport’s live blog of Italy vs England in Milan.
See you on Monday for the home game against Germany.
Let’s hope things looks a bit brighter on November 21 eh?

England slump to defeat at the San Siro
Drab England looked bang off trend in Milan Fashion Week  – and were deservedly and embarrassingly relegated from the top flight of the Nations League, writes Dan King.
As a collective, Gareth Southgate’s men yet again did not do enough to create chances and have now gone five matches without scoring from open play.
There was not the same defensive mayhem as in the humiliating home defeat by Hungary, despite a nervy start.
But one mistake by Kyle Walker was enough to allow man of the match Giacomo Raspadori to grab the only goal.
Eric Dier’s return and Jude Bellingham’s continuing progress were the only significant positives from another dismal night in this competition.
The most worrying thing is that England’s starting 11 for their opening World Cup game against Iran in less than two months may well not look much different from this.
The performance will need to be.

    ‘It’s coming’, says Rice
Declan Rice insists England will come up trumps in Qatar.
He said: “It’s obviously disappointing. Every tournament we go into, we set out to win. In the Nations League we have slipped below our standards but I didn’t think it was all bad tonight.
“It’s coming. It was a much better performance tonight than we saw in the summer.
“It’s not that we’re not creating the chances. I see it in training. There are goals for fun.
“Trust me, we are going to be good.”

    Southgate booed by England fans
The England boss applauded the travelling supporters but was greeted with a mixed reaction.
    There were some clear boos.
I’m sure they’ll be cheering when he brings home the trophy in December.

    But it’s offside anyway.
    Italy 0-0 England
50 – A waste from Kane as he was through but allowed Bonucci to draw him wide.
Corner to Southgate’s men. James whips it in. It amounts to nothing.
Kane has a nasty blow to the face.

    Thanks and buenas noches!
There’s usually fireworks when Atletico square off against Real Madrid and tonight was no different.
Atletico struggled to get back into the game once Valverde doubled Madrid’s lead towards the end of the first half, but Diego Simeone can be proud of the character that his team showed late on.
The sparks really started flying once Hermoso was introduced in the 72nd minute.
He wasted little time in putting his stamp on the contest and it was his goal that gave Atletico hope.
However, Hermoso’s red card towards the end of normal time effectively put an end to the contest.
Real Madrid were in control of the contest for long periods and limited Atletico to half-chances and shots from distance.
They were in cruise control for most of the second half and were perhaps unfortunate to concede a freak goal that took some of the shine off the result.
Atletico will travel to Sevilla after the international break as they look to climb the table.
Real Madrid will host Osasuna as they look to maintain their perfect record this season.
Thanks again for joining us for another exciting Madrid derby. Adios!

    Atletico’s uncharacteristic defending
Diego Simeone’s Atletico teams are famed for their defensive abilities but Madrid’s forward line exposed them time and time again this evening.
The sheer pace of Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr on the break was just too much for an Atletico team that is still trying to find its feet this season.

    Madrid extend perfect run
Real Madrid’s victory takes them back to the top spot in La Liga, two points above Barcelona.
They made it harder for themselves than they perhaps should have done in the end, but they will be happy with their work in what is never an easy game.
    Full-time: Atletico 1 – 2 Real Madrid
Hermoso’s red card was the final nail in Atletico’s coffin and they were unable to fashion one more chance for themselves in the remaining minutes.
Stay with us for the post-match reaction to another incident-filled Madrid derby!
RED CARD! Atletico 1 – 2 Real Madrid – (Hermoso)
    90. Hermoso picks up a second yellow just two minutes after his first.
He tussles with Dani Ceballos in the penalty area while a corner kick comes in.
Ceballos makes the most of the contact and goes down, prompting the referee to show Hermoso a second yelklow.
If Atletico are to snatch a late point, they’ll have to do it with ten men.

Atletico 1 – 2 Real Madrid – Yellow card (Hermoso) (Carvajal)
    88. It’s getting feisty now!
Hermoso takes exception to a foul on Reinildo by Carvajal on the half way line.
The two Spaniards square off and both pick up a yellow card for their troubles.
    Atletico 1 – 2 Real Madrid
    87. That goal has understandably changed the atmosphere in the stadium.
The crowd can sense that they might just nick a point here and Simeone is riling them up.
Can they create one more chance?
GOAL! Atletico 1 – 2 Real Madrid (Hermoso)
    83. Hermoso didn’t know much about it, but he’s just hauled his team back into the game!
Griezmann sends a corner into the crowded penalty area and Courtois flaps at it.
The ball travels on to Hermoso and deflects into the goal via his shoulder.
    Game on!

    Atletico 0 – 2 Real Madrid
    80. Toni Kroos has put the ball out of play because Carvajal is laying prone on the pitch.
Carvajal is claiming an elbow from Kondogbia, but there wasn’t much there in all honesty.
    Atletico 0 – 2 Real Madrid
    79. Atletico are huffing and puffing but still can’t find a way past Courtois.
Correa the latest player to send a weak shot towards goal that Courtois easily smothers.
    Atletico 0 – 2 Real Madrid
    75. Real Madrid make their first change of the night as Antonio Rudiger comes on for Ferland Mendy who had been booked.
    Atletico 0 – 2 Real Madrid
    76. It’s another double change for the home team as Hermoso and Correa replace Carrasco and Koke.
    Atletico 0 – 2 Real Madrid
    72. Atletico are playing in a 4-4-2 formation since that double substitution, but they still haven’t been able to create an opportunity of note in this second half.
Simeone is making more changes to his team now.
    Atletico 0 – 2 Real Madrid
    68. Kondogbia has just been surprised at having the ball nicked off him by a tenacious Rodrygo despite the warnings of 68,000 screaming MAN-ON at him.
Google translate tells me that HOMBRE-EN is the direct Spanish translation.
    Every day’s a school day.
    Atletico 0 – 2 Real Madrid
    64. The cameras have shown Joao Felix trudging his way down the tunnel following his substitution.
Perhaps he’s picked up an injury, but it’s not a great look when your team are two goals down at home to your rivals.
Atletico 0 – 2 Real Madrid – Yellow card (Koke)
    63. Koke has his name taken for a cynical foul on Rodrygo.
Wouldn’t have been out of place in the NFL, that one.
    Atletico 0 – 2 Real Madrid
    62. Simeone makes a double change as Rodrigo de Paul and Joao Felix are replaced by Matheus Cunha and Alvaro Morata.
    Atletico 0 – 2 Real Madrid
    61. Atletico play a short corner and Griezmann plays a dangerous cross into the box but his teammates can’t get on the end of it.
Time for a change of personnel for Atletico.
    Atletico 0 – 2 Real Madrid
    58. The half-time break hasn’t done much to wake Atletico up from their slumber.
Real Madrid have won every header and been quicker to every second ball so far.
Simeone is turning to his substitutes as a way of getting his team back into the contest.

    Atletico 0 – 2 Real Madrid
    56. Griezmann dinks the ball towards the back post, but again the Real Madrid defenders clear the ball without being put under too much pressure.
    Atletico 0 – 2 Real Madrid
    55. de Paul has earned another free-kick in a dangerous position, just outside the Real Madrid penalty area.
Can Atletico make better use of this one?
    Atletico 0 – 2 Real Madrid
    54. Griezmann’s cross fails to beat the first man and Real Madrid comfortable clear.
    Atletico 0 – 2 Real Madrid
    53. Atletico have a free-kick near the corner flag after good work by Llorente and de Paul on the right wing…
    Atletico 0 – 2 Real Madrid
    50. Real Madrid don’t seem to be missing Casemiro too much.
They’ve got a ready-made replacement in the shape of Aurelien Tchouameni.
The 22-year-old Frenchman has dovetailed expertly with the more experienced Modric and Kroos tonight.
    Atletico 0 – 2 Real Madrid
    48. Rodrygo has been a thorn in Atletico’s side all night and he is almost away again after dancing past Llorente near the halfway line, but de Paul comes across to mop up.
