It’s going to be reviewed by VAR here.
    What happened is as follows:
Callum Wilson charges down Hugo Lloris, who comes out of his area to try and chest down the ball, but runs into Wilson in the progress.
Lloris is knocked down by Wilson, who can’t get out of the way, and the English striker dinks the keeper and the ball hits the back of the net.
It is reviewed by VAR, but the decision is GOAL.

It’s 1-0 to Newcastle, and after a huge error from Hugo Lloris, Callum Wilson opens the scoring!
    30. Tottenham 0-0 Newcastle.
Pope did really well to direct the save away from any Spurs players after that Harry Kane effort.
And Newcastle will now look to come forwards…
    30. Tottenham 0-0 Newcastle.
Newcastle’s turn to go forwards now, but nothing comes from it and they are caught on the counter.

    24. Tottenham 0-0 Newcastle.
Trippier wins a foul from Heung Min Son.
He plays the ball deep onto the head of Dan Burn, who wins the header and allows Wilson to have a go on the volley.
He hits the ball goal wards, but also kicks the underside of Bentancur’s boot, which is sore for him and he stays down.
    22. Tottenham 0-0 Newcastle.
    Chance for Spurs.
Sessegnon finds some space on the edge of the box and opens up for a shot on target, but it is blocked and will be a corner for The Lilywhites.
    20. Tottenham 0-0 Newcastle.
20 minutes in, and it is Spurs who are dominating the game so far…
Son has had four attempts on goal, with three of them coming from outside the box, but the other one he really should have scored.
As for Newcastle, they have looked good in spells, but have failed to create any real chances so far.
Dier puts a bit too much on a pass back to Lloris, and it goes out for a Newcastle corner.
    18. Tottenham 0-0 Newcastle.
Newcastle get a break as they venture forward with a long ball from Burn to Willock.
The attack breaks down, and Spurs will resume control…
    16. Tottenham 0-0 Newcastle.
Emerson gets a lovely nutmeg on the right hand side, that’s one for the Premier League’s skills of the week compilation.
He sprays a ball out to Sessegnon, who picks out Bissouma.
Bissouma goes for a spectacular volley, but it is over the bar.
    14. Tottenham 0-0 Newcastle.
Eddie Howe has got his notepad out and looks to be taking some tactical notes, one of them could be to get closer to Heung Min-Son, who has missed a host of close chances already in this one.
Spurs are starting to control the game a bit more now…
    12. Tottenham 0-0 Newcastle.
Son has missed a sitter!Great football from Spurs, and that really should be a goal for the Korean who is usually so clinical!
Kane plays him through, and he tries to dink Nick Pope, but the keeper gets a hand on it, and Newcastle live to die another day!
    0/4 for Son now…
    10. Tottenham 0-0 Newcastle.
Newcastle put a long ball into the box, which is relatively unlike them this season, it is nicely collected by Hugo Lloris.
    8. Tottenham 0-0 Newcastle.
Newcastle win a corner after Kieran Trippier picks out Longstaff who had made a brilliant run.
Son has another go from distance, and makes it 0/3 so far…
    6. Tottenham 0-0 Newcastle.
Both teams have started brightly here and had a few chances each, this looks like it is going to be an open one, and there could be a few goals!
    4. Tottenham 0-0 Newcastle.
Two quick counter attacks from Spurs already in this one!
Newcastle have a chance now, as Schar plays a wonderful ball into Joelinton.
He is seemingly baring down on goal, but is bundled over by Emerson, VAR take a look at it, but no foul.
    2. Tottenham 0-0 Newcastle.
Newcastle start moving the ball nicely, but Guimaraes is caught out under pressure from Bentancur.
Kane plays a beautiful pass through to Emerson Royal, who picks out Son.
His effort from the edge of the box is just short of the top right hand corner.
    0. Tottenham 0-0 Newcastle.
Son has a go from distance early on, Trippier is caught out in possession and HMS Son goes steaming through a number of players.
His shot is hit hard and on target, but it is collected easily by Nick Pope in goal.
    Here we go…
The teams are out at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, rainbow armbands on, and we are ready to go!
This is going to be big, huge game!
    Ten minute warning
There are just ten minutes until kick-off at The Tottenham Hotspur stadium!
Grab your snacks, maybe a cold one, and settle down for 90 minutes of watching some brilliant football on show…
    Predictions?
At SunSport we are going for a home victory in this one, Newcastle have proved a tough task for almost any opponent, but Spurs might just have too much firepower for them.
    What do you think?

    Laced up for a cause!
Inequality has no place in football, which is undoubtedly a game for everyone, and there is no room for hatred of any form in the beautiful game.
Today’s game between Spurs and Newcastle United will see both teams show their support for @stonewalluk‘s efforts to promote equality in football, on and off the pitch.
It seems that certain players will lace up with rainbow laces in their boots, and Hugo Lloris will be wearing a rainbow captains armband, as Cesar Azpilicueta was for Chelsea yesterday.

    Newcastle team reaction.
Newcastle fans seem happy with the lineup, which sees Bruno Guimaraes in from the beginning.
More good news, as Joelinton is back in the side for the Magpies amid injury concerns.
Many fans however are confused at the shape that they are playing, which sees four midfielders in the side, this means Joe Willock or Joelinton could be playing out wide.

Leeds 2 Fulham 3: Jesse Marsch fighting for his job as his lacklustre side beaten as Mitrovic and Willian grab the win

FULHAM did for Steven Gerrard in midweek – and they could have just put the final nail in Jesse Marsch’s Leeds coffin. The miserable Whites plunge into the bottom three for the first time this season following their fourth straight defeat.

Pressure is mounting on struggling Jesse MarschCredit: Getty
Winless in eight, furious Leeds fans once again turned on Marsch.
After Bobby Decordova-Reid put the Cottagers 2-1 up, the locals yelled “You’re getting sacked in the morning” at the American.
And boos were ringing around all four corners of Elland Road when Willian bagged Fulham’s third after Alexander Mitrovic had earlier cancelled out Rodrigo’s opener.
Before this latest chastening defeat, United chiefs insisted Marsch had enough credit in the back and would not be axed if beaten by Fulham.

But owner Andrea Radrizzani – also heckled by angry home supporters – now faces a huge decision.
With trips to Liverpool and Tottenham two of their three games before the World Cup break, things could get worse yet.
On the other hand, Marco Silva’s West Londoners are motoring.
Having seen off Aston Villa 3-0 on Thursday, this was their fifth win of the season – the same as they managed across 38 games when relegated two seasons ago.

Marsch made six changes following Thursday’s shocking 2-0 defeat at rock-bottom Leicester, drafting in Liam Cooper, Pascal Struijk, Luke Ayling, Jack Harrison, Sam Greenwood and Rodrigo.
For what the underfire American described as a “big, big game” in his programme notes, Patrick Bamford was benched.
Battered by the mutinous travelling fans at the King Power, Marsch pleaded: “We have to stick together.
“We all need your support now more than ever, as being unified is what makes this club so special”.
Starting the day in 16th, only outside of the bottom three on goal difference, a fast start was imperative to keep Elland Road onside.
United duly delivered but there were moans and groans just 14 minutes in when Harrison Reed was only denied by an incredible goal-line clearance by Marc Roca.
The grand old stadium was bouncing six minutes later though when Rodrigo put them ahead.
Jack Harrison was through on goal following Antonee Robinson’s horribly mistimed interception, but Tim Ream scarpered across to block.

Aleksandar Mitrovic headed in the equaliserCredit: Getty
Ballooned up in the air, Rodrigo was on hand to nod home his fifth of the campaign at the back post.
Yet the relief was short-lived, with Leeds keeper Illan Meslier – making his 100th Whites appearance – gifting red-hot Mitrovic the equaliser.
The Serbian got in front of Ayling at the near post to meet Andreas Pereira’s cross but his flick-on was straight at the Frenchman, only for it to spill through his hands and in.
On fire this season, this was the Serbian’s ninth Prem goal in 11 games – tripling his tally of three when Fulham were relegated in 2020-21.
Leeds were all over the shop now and Meslier went someway to making amends when denying Pereira to his left after the Brazilian raced in unchecked on a rapid counter.
The Cottagers had the better of a back-and-forth first half but Leeds were inches away from taking the lead again at the start of the second when Brenden Aaronson scooped one just over.
Elland Road were doing their best to roar their lads on but all four corners were silent when Pereira slipped Joao Palinha in on the break, only for the Portuguese to make a right hash of it and spoon out under pressure from Ayling.
Marsch called for Bamford 63 minutes in and the striker had a huge chance moments later, but Bernd Leno was out in a flash to deny him when played through by Aaronson.

Crysencio Summerville got one back in injury time but it was too little too lateCredit: Reuters
The American has bemoaned their lack of ruthlessness in front of goal all season.
And, not for the first time, they were made to pay when the defence switched off again and Fulham took the lead.
A corner from the right found its way back to Andreas Pereira, who whipped it into the Bobby De Cordova-Reid at the near post.
In an embarrassing amount of space 12 yards out, his glancing header into the far post prompted further fury directed at Marsch.
Then came the chants telling the home manager he will be unemployed by Monday morning.
Yet it’s not just Marsch the Leeds supporters are fed up with, as they also let rip at owner Andrea Radrizzani.
And things went from bad to worse when Willian made it 3-1 with six minutes remaining.
Harrison Reed waltzed through two weak challenges in the box and teed up the Brazilian.

Prompting further boos from all four corners of Elland Road, disgruntled fans walked out en masse to end another miserable day at the office for Jesse Marsch.
Sub Crysencio Summerville pulled one back in injury time but it was too late as Fulham held out for victory.Ends.

Wolves 0 Leicester 4: Brendan Rodgers side storm to thumping away win to move out of Premier League drop zone

LEICESTER gave Wolves a lesson in the art of clinical finishing as Brendan Rodgers side won for the first time on the road this season.Incredibly Leicester scored four goals from just five shots – compared to Wolves’ 21 as they underlined why the Molineux side are the nation’s most feeble finishers with just three home goals to celebrate this season!
Jamie Vardy came off the bench in lethal fashionCredit: Reuters
No wonder their fans turned toxic long before the end as they vented their fury at Technical Director Scott Sellars, rather than chairman Jeff Shi.
“Scott Sellars, get out of our club,” they demanded, followed by “We want Sellars out,” as they booed their side off after their fifth defeat in six games.
Wolves emergency signing Diego Costa worked his tail off but has yet to get off the mark for a club which has managed a mere five goals in 12 games.
This could have billed this as the stick or twist derby between two of the Prem’s basement dwellers.
    READ MORE IN FOOTBALL
Leicester City decided to stick with Brendan Rodgers in spite of pressure from a vocal section of their disgruntled support.
Wolves opted to twist again – like they did last year!
Their idea of stability has been to install Steve Davis as a semi-permanent interim boss until 2023.
But that didn’t make Davis immune to a bit of sledging from opposition fans – rather than his own who were too busy on Sellars’ case.

With Leicester 2-0 up inside 20 minutes through Youri Tielemans’ wonder strike and Harvey Barnes’ clinical finish, the travelling Foxes fans targeted Davis.
“Sacked in the morning, you’re getting sacked in the morning,” they taunted towards a club with no manager!
That completed Wolves Under-18 coach’s initiation as a modern-day Premier League boss, even if it wasn’t a very accurate summary of his role.
In fairness: “You’re returning to your former duties in the morning,” doesn’t have the same ring to it!
Davis must have been scratching his head and wondering how his side were trailing, yet alone two goals down, after having Leicester on the ropes in a whirlwind start.
But Rodgers’ men look far more resilient now and having kept three clean sheets in their last three home games, they refused to buckle despite Wolves’ blitz.

In-form goalie Danny Ward tipped Costa’s fierce shot over while Daniel Podence had a couple of attempts blocked and Joao Moutinho fired wide as Leicester clung on grimly.
However, Jonny was booked for conceding a daft free kick for a tug at James Maddison and how the visitors made him pay.
Maddison, fresh following a one-match suspension, delivered deep into the box and when it was headed out Tielemans allowed the ball one bounce before volleying a screamer beyond Jose Sa.
The keeper could only watch as the ball cannoned in off his far post from 25 yards for a quite outrageous finish.
Costa earned a cheer from Wolves fans for removing a blue flare which had been chucked onto the pitch by celebrating Leicester fans.
But like the missile, the veteran striker was handled safely and failed to do any damage.

Vardy bared his fangs off the bench with a goal and an assist to complete the routCredit: Getty
It wasn’t for the lack of trying as Ward raced off his line to block Matheus Nunes, Daniel Amartey threw himself in front of another Costa shot, before Bueno suffered a similar fate.
As Wolves frustration grew Max Kilman headed over from a Moutinho corner before Leicester added insult to injury by adding a second with their second attempt on goal.
Maddsion’s crossfield pass picked out Barnes who played a give and go with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall before drilling low beyond Sa for his fourth goal of the season.
When Costa then had a back-post tap-in brilliantly blocked by James Justin and Ward saved spectacularly to deny Podence, Wolves must have realised this wasn’t to be their day.
After an hour their fans turned toxic and directed their fury at Sellars – before Leicester added a third!
Maddison took a Jamie Vardy pass and held off Adama Traore and Nathan Collins before slamming home his sixth goal of the season.
    Read More on The Sun
Incredibly it was the Foxes third shot which resulted in their third goal – in contrast to Wolves 20 attempts!
And it got worse for the home side when Timothy Castagne set up substitute Vardy to open his account for the season from close range to complete a rare away day victory for the visitors.

    Premier League tighter than ever
Southampton move into 15th place with the point they gained from today’s game, leaving them two points clear of the bottom three.
With Leicester, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest all winning this weekend there is only six points between Brighton in 9th place and the relegation places.
Arsenal meanwhile have a two point gap from Man City in 2nd place.
    Saint wins plaudits for performance
Elyounoussi was awarded the man of the match award today.
He gave Tomiyasu a torrid time down the right wing.
Brilliant attacking play to lay it into the path of Armstrong to get that all important equaliser today.
    A game of two halves
Arsenal dominated the first half and Southampton didn’t seem capable of breaking down the visitor’s attacks let alone getting forward themselves.
Whatever Ralph Hasenhuttl said at half time did the trick and The Saints looked a completely different side in the second half.
Their tactics and approach play seemed to neutralise Arsenal and they were unlucky not to find a second goal to take all three points.

The referee brings the game to an end.
Huge cheer from the home crowd.

Great spot to see the ball was out of play before Tierney crossed.
    Southampton 1-1 Arsenal
    78. One of Arteta’s backroom staff is shown a yellow card by the referee.
He threw a bottle in dissent after giving the fourth official a tirade of abuse.
Not sure how that works as he returns to his seat on the bench.
Pretty sure he should be in the stands right now.
    Southampton 1-1 Arsenal
    76. Lyanco does well to deal with the threat of Nketiah down the left.

He neatly tucks the ball passed Ramsdale.
    Goal – Stuart Armstrong (Southampton)
    Southampton 0-1 Arsenal
    64. Jesus is looking for the referee to protect him more.
He has spent more time on the turf than his feet in this second half.
Neither keeper has really been tested in this half so far.
    Southampton 0-1 Arsenal
    62. Southampton are passing the ball around with more confidence.
Hasenhuttl is barking orders from the touchline.
They are still in this game, they just need to find a goal.
    Southampton 0-1 Arsenal
    60. Arsenal break on the counter.
Odegaard plays it into the path of Jesus.

Nottingham Forest 1 Liverpool 0: Jurgen Klopp’s side flop again after Dean Henderson heroics gives his side huge win

TAIWO Awoniyi came back to haunt Jurgen Klopp as he inspired a shock win for Nottingham Forest. The Nigerian spent six years at Anfield and was loaned out seven times.

And he never made a senior appearance for Liverpool.
But he led Forest to a memorable victory at the City Ground to show Klopp what he was missing.
Forest may have started the day bottom of the table, but they used a rocking Trentside atmosphere to produce their performance of the season.
But Forest needed an incredible late save from Dean Henderson who got down one handed to keep out Virgil van Dijk’s stoppage time header.

And then he did it AGAIN to keep out Mo Salah.
Boss Steve Cooper said Forest would have to be “near perfect” to beat Liverpool – and they were.
They created a string of chances but had to wait to the 65th minute before opening the scoring.
And it was Awoniyi – who had frustrated Liverpool all day – who was in the right place at the right time.

His first effort hit the post, but he made of netting the rebound.
But the player remembered his Premier League roots – and there was a muted celebration from the man who Cooper knew from his days at the Anfield Academy.
Forest paid what was a club record £17million for Awoniyi in the summer – and he showed why Cooper wanted him.
Liverpool – without an away win this season – looked strangely off the pace as they searched for a third successive win to rekindle their title bid.
