A bout with Hasim Rahman Jr was also set up, but that also fell through due to a problem making weight on the heavyweight fighter’s side.

Jake Paul and Anderson Silva’s bet
Jake Paul agreed to rematch Anderson Silva under kickboxing rules if he loses their fight after making a bet live on stage.
But Paul wants the Brazilian to help launch a fighter’s union if he is victorious in Glendale.
He said: “If I win, me and you come together to create a united fighters association to help UFC fighters get better pay and better health care.
“You come become the interim president and we united to help these fighters once and for all.”

Paul could get chance for world title
Jake Paul is set to be considered for a world ranking by the WBC -which would pave the way for him to challenge for a world title.
WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman announced Paul would earn himself a top 15 rating had he beaten heavyweight Hasim Rahman Jr in August.
And Sulaiman revealed, with new rankings set to be unveiled soon, a win for Paul over the weekend could see him placed in the top 15.
He told Fight Hype: “Jake Paul has a record in professional boxing and he has been improving the level of opposition.
“Of course the WBC ratings committee is open to consider fighters for rankings considering all of the different variables which are activity, level of opposition, results and so on.”
Paul vs Silva tale of the tape

Paul says he’ll challenge Tyson Fury…in WWE?
Jake Paul is ready to challenge Tyson Fury in the WWE… but first wants to settle his “unfinished business” with brother Tommy.
Paul’s older sibling Logan recently crossed over to professional wrestling and challenges for the WWE title on November 5.
The YouTube sensation, 25, is open to starring alongside the Gypsy King but only after fighting his brother Tommy, 23, in the boxing ring.
He told Sky Sports: “Maybe a wrestling event, maybe we go WWE.
“I definitely want to take out his little brother though, Tommy. I think that’s still a big fight and there’s unfinished business.”

    How hard does Paul punch?
Jake Paul’s sparring partners have been left all saying the same thing ahead of his fight with Anderson Silva, according to his coach.
Paul’s head trainer BJ Flores claimed the feedback from the sessions have all been on the YouTuber-turned-boxer’s power.
Flores told Yahoo Sports: “I’d say he is a prospect and someone to definitely watch out for.
“One thing you have to do with Jake is really be conscious of both hands.
“People have seen the right hand, but the left hand is also strong and has been developing.
“Everybody says the same thing: ‘He can really, really punch.'”

    Anderson Silva speaks
What MMA legend Anderson Silva said in the build up to tonight’s huge fight, which is FINALLY here.
Silva said: “Listen, everything is possible. Jake and [his] brother are training hard [to become] boxers. [They] try to [show] respect for the community. The kids have good potential and the people need to respect that.
“I don’t feel pressure any more because everything I do in this sport and MMA I do with my heart.
“I think now is the next step for me. I try to enjoy my life, and when people think that’s too much pressure because I need to prove that I represent the MMA Community – no, I represent myself and represent my fans.”

    Jake Paul’s glove tonight
Jake Paul will wear specially-made “snooze” boxing gloves after predicting a knockout victory over UFC legend Anderson Silva.
And he vowed to make up for lost time with a career-best victory over Brazilian icon Silva.
He said: “Knock him out before round five – that’s my prediction and I strong, strongly believe in that.
“Respectfully knock him out. With love and grace and a kiss.”
Paul is set to play up to his words by wearing a pair of custom-made Grant gloves with “ZZZ” written on them.

Why Dana White is the real reason for fight
Jake Paul revealed Dana White is the reason he is fighting UFC legend Anderson Silva.
Paul said: “I think it’s because I’m the No1 figurehead that is exposing his business model and how much of a shark he is and how poorly he treats his fighters.
“He said I wouldn’t fight Anderson Silva, who is one of UFC’s greats, and now here I am fighting him.
“And he largely, in part, promoted that. He’s the reason why I took this fight… it’s to prove him wrong and shut him the hell up.”

Paul vs Silva in net worth
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Jake Paul is valued at £52m ($60m) compared to Silva’s £16m ($18m).
The Brazilian was one of the UFC’s highest-paid PPV stars during his iconic career, before departing in 2020.
His biggest guaranteed purse was $800,000 the night he faced Nick Diaz, although he would have earned more through box office bonuses.
Paul claimed he would be giving Silva’s his highest ever payday, something the old icon denied.
What Paul did say to Silva?
Jake Paul and Anderson Silva’s friendly rivalry turned sour during their face off after the weigh in.
And Paul could be seen whispering far from sweet nothings towards Silva.
Paul said roared: “I said to him ‘it’s my generation, it’s my time’. To be a legend you’ve got to beat a legend.
“It’s time for war, I asked him if he’s ready. It’s been nice nice nice, it’s been swet sweet sweet.
“I respect that man but he’s trying to take the food off of my plate, he’s trying to stop my run.”
What happened at the weigh in?
Jake Paul weighed a career-lowest for his fight with Anderson Silva.
One the day before the toughest test of his boxing career, Paul hit the scales at 186.5lb, under the agreed upon catchweight with Silva.
He said: “Let’s go. Biggest fight of year, Paul-Silva, Showtime get it right now.”
The American’s five prior wins all came around the 190lb mark, and he wanted to return at 185lb.
But UFC legend Silva negotiated a compromise of 187lb, with the Brazilian also coming in under the limit at 186.1lb.

Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva undercard
The undercard here is getting underway in mere hours around 1am UK time.
NFL star Le’Veon Bell is also in action as he takes retired UFC fighter Uriah Hall.
And lightweight prospect Ashton Sylve also takes to the ring to face Braulio Rodriguez.
Elsewhere on the card, heavyweight Jeremiah Milton, Chris Avila and Adrian Rodriguez are in action.

Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva tale of the tape
How Jake Paul and Anderson Silva compare ahead of the HUGE fight between the pair tonight.
The atmosphere is heating up in Arizona, and the main event is scheduled for around 4am UK time, which is 11pm ET.
    Here. We. Go!

Welcome to Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva
Jake Paul warned Anderson Silva that it is his time to shine ahead of the biggest fight of his life.
The YouTuber-turned boxer returns TONIGHT in Arizona, in his first bout in ten months.
And he has enjoyed a pleasant build up with Silva – the man he once looked up to – but it has been a story of idol-turned rival for Paul.
He roared: “I said to him ‘it’s my generation, it’s my time’. To be a legend you’ve got to beat a legend.
“It’s time for war, I asked him if he’s ready. It’s been nice nice nice, it’s been swet sweet sweet.
“I respect that man but he’s trying to take the food off of my plate, he’s trying to stop my run.
“Guess what? I’m f****ng him up, I’m f****ng him up!” Silva said:
“I’m so happy to be here and I’m going to do my best to make a good show for everyone. “Of course I’m going to win, I’m training for that fight.”

Liverpool 1 Leeds 2: Summerville bags late winner as Whites rise out of drop zone and Reds’ Prem plight continues

THIS WAS trick or treat night at Anfeld and Crysencio Summerville walked away with all the goodiesAnd his 90th minute strike left Jurgen Klopp horror-stricken a couple of days before Halloween.

Liverpool keeper Alisson watches in despair as Crysencio Summerville (not seen) bags a late winner for struggling LeedsCredit: AFP
The German’s side gifted a lifeline to opposite number Jesse Marsch and his struggling Leeds United side.
First thanks to a howler from Joe Gomez.
Then with seconds ticking into time added on diminutive Dutchman Summerville stole in to plunder victory as Liverpool’s season.
Anfield boss Klopp Was looking for a win that would  announce Kop problems were easing, instead they only got worse after the defeat that followed the 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest a week earlier.
    READ MORE IN FOOTBALL
Marsch tried to laugh off comparisons between him and the tactically useless American manager Ted Lasso in the build- up to this clash.
Lasso somehow succeeded in the TV show that depicted his success with fictional Prem side AFC Richmond.
He thinks such jibes are unfair yet the defending of his side just 41 seconds in was a true joke.
Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson fired forward a long ball for Mo Salah to chase although he had little hope of catching it.

Yet for no reason anyone at Anfield can have imagined Alisson’s opposite number Illan Meslier charged 30 yards from his goal just as Liam Cooper sent back what should have been a simple header to clear the danger.
Meslier was caught in no-man’s land and Salah was able to deliver the shot that a relieved Pascal Struijk just managed to hook off his line.
So, all a bit of a laugh, then.
Except that crazy moment, no doubt based on tension and nerves, had nothing on what happened next with Gomez taking kamikaze defending to a new, surreal level.
Less than three minutes after Meslier’s moment of madness the Liverpool centre back neatly robbed midfielder Brendan Aaronson on his side’s right touchline.
Then, without looking, he sent the ball backwards towards Alisson, who was so stunned by the blunder that he slipped trying to get to the mis – placed pass.
Enter into the pantomime Rodrigo, centre stage, who could have done a lap around the Kop before touching the ball home to put Leeds in front after four defeats in a row.
Hollywood scriptwriters would have been laughed out of the studios had they tried to make up that bizarre start.
Yet the fun had only just begun.

Mo Salah pounced on poor defending to nick an early leveller for LiverpoolCredit: Reuters
Salah forced a ball right across the Leeds box and Andy Robertson just managed to connect with a running cross.
Marsch’s defenders reacted like stuffed dummies, mere extras in the plot as Salah was allowed to hook a 14th minute equaliser home – even he looked surprised that he was able to do so without any challenge.
That should have been the cue for stability within Klopp’s ranks.
    Not a bit of it.
A side struggling desperately for some sort of foothold in a season that had seen them winless in eight with Marsch’s position as manager under growing threat simply walked through the Anfield defence.
Klopp’s men got lucky as Aaronson got on the end of a cross from Rasmus Kristensen but volleyed against the bar.
Seconds after that 21st minute surge through Liverpool’s non-combative midfield, Alisson dropped in desperation to touch away a fierce low drive from Jack Harrison.
Liverpool legend and TV pundit Graeme Souness called it all a “great advert” for the Premier League.
But in his managerial days including a stint at Anfield, he would have been spitting blood.
And Klopp, stunned on the touchline as one of his predecessors looked like he was doing exactly that.
Meslier made up for his earlier nightmare with a series of late saves yet nobody could deny Marsch and his men deserved the points as Summerville celebrated on the eve of his 21st birthday.
It was Leeds’ first win since the start of August – and this game might be the first that suggests Klopp now needs to make major changes going forward.
    HERE’S HOW THE ACTION UNFOLDED

Bournemouth 2 Tottenham 3: Bentancur hero as Spurs fight from two down to snatch last-gasp win and keep title bid alive

ANTONIO CONTE avoided an embarrassing defeat on the south coast as his Tottenham super-subs produced a stunning comeback.Kieffer Moore put Bournemouth into a shock 2-0 lead at the Vitality Stadium with a brace either side of the break.

Spurs boss Conte had made six changes for this clash, including dropping Eric Dier, Rodrigo Bentancur and Ivan Perisic to the bench, with a crucial week of their season around the corner.
A trip to France to face Marseille in a Champions League Last 16 showdown clash is followed by the welcoming of Liverpool to north London.
Conte was forced to bring that trio on to help rescue something as Ryan Sessegnon and Ben Davies each scored to ensure they did not suffer a third successive Premier League loss.
And in injury time, Bentancur smashed home the winner after a six-yard box scramble from a poorly defended corner.
    READ MORE IN FOOTBALL
In a game that would have seen more painful ground lost, Spurs maintain their third-place spot and edge to within two points of rivals Arsenal having played two games more.
Nothing should be taken away from the Cherries, who appear to be going from strength to strength under interim Gary O’Neil – a man deserving of this job full-time.
As each game goes by, you wonder what is going through the mind of Scott Parker, their ex-boss who convinced the outside world and his own squad that they were not good enough to compete in this division. How wrong he is turning out to be.
O’Neil really went for it with his team selection, bringing in Moore to partner Solanke up top, the latter recovering from a previous ankle knock to start.

The pair were involved in everything good the hosts pulled off as Moore headed just over from an early Lewis Cook corner before Marcus Tavernier forced Lloris into a smart stop.
Spurs simply could not get on the ball with their half-hearted press, and when they did they were poor, with Harry Kane dropping deep to play off scraps.
Bournemouth were creating heaps, and got their reward in the 22nd minute with Spurs’ backline a mess. Solanke’s flick around the corner set Tavernier away, who squared for Moore’s first Prem goal since the opening day.
The closest Spurs came was via Marcos Senesi’s header onto his own post before Emerson Royal cleared the ground with a woeful volley. The away end chanted: ‘What the f*****g hell was that?’.
Moura was chucked on at the break for Oliver Skipp to provide some much-needed zip, only for Moore to grab another in the 50th minute.
That could have been the killer blow had to not been for Spurs’ quick response through Sessegnon’s 57th minute deflected effort across goal and into the far corner.

Conte reacted, hauling off Sanchez and Yves Bissouma for Bentancur and Dier, as well as Perisic for Royal.
Perisic’s 73rd minute corner to the far post met an unmarked Ben Davies to head into an empty net, sparking a peppering of Bournemouth’s goal not seen since their 9-0 defeat to Liverpool back in August.
Mark Travers stood firm to keep out Heun-Min Son’s best chance of the match from Dier’s pull-back.
O’Neil’s men were tiring, and Conte could smell blood, springing into life on the sidelines.
And in the 92nd minute, that comeback was complete thanks to Bentancur’s improvised finish in the box.

    That’s all from us
Thank you all for joining SunSport’s coverage of Manchester United vs Sheriff.
Goals from Dalot, Rashford and Ronaldo saw United comfortably run out 3-0 winners at Old Trafford.
They are now seven unbeaten and go into the game against Sociedad next week needing to win by two goals in order to avoid a potential death draw against Champions League drop-outs which could mean a game against Juventus or Barcelona.
But up next United have to deal with the visit of West Ham on Sunday.
We hope you will join us for the coverage of that game.
Good night all and take care.
Ten Hag on confidence ahead of final group game
He added: “We are confident (ahead of final group game).
“It was a crazy penalty in the first game, we have to deal with and that means we have to win with a two-goal difference.”
    On Antony sub
Ten Hag added: “No (was the sub down to the spin), it was more or less planned that if we are up then I wanted to see Ronaldo and Rashford close together.
“That was one of the reasons – the dynamic of the right side.
“On the left side I thought Garnacho was playing quite well. He was really intent in his actions really good tempo dribbling so that was good to see so was more of less planned.”
    Ten Hag on Ronaldo
On Ronaldo’s goal, Ten Hag said: “It’s great.
“The team creates for him and we know he has the capability to finish.
“He needs a goal to get over a dead point I will say and then he will get more goals.”
    More from Ten Hag
On his half-time changes, Ten Hag said: “It was to bring more numbers in (the subs) and to get behind the defending line of the opponent.
“And especially about occupation in the box and that is what we can do better.
“I think the examples are the second and third goal – we were more in the box we occupied the positions and it is what we have to do more to improve.”
    Ten Hag quotes
Speaking to BT Sport after the game, Erik ten Hag said: “It was ok (the performance).
“You hope to score in the first half hour and the second just after half-time but I think we deserve that goal and from the set play – perfect.
“Second half we score two more goals – good goals – also with the clean sheet.
“So we give nothing and focus to win.”
    “Functional” Ten Hag
Erik ten Hag has said he has no problem with Antony’s fancy tricks on one condition: that it is “functional”.
Whether that was why Antony was hooked at half-time is something only Ten Hag will know for certain.
    Expected Goals
As expected United dominated the Expected Goals of the game.
And in fact, it appears they dominated so much that Sheriff did not muster any Expected Goals to their performance, with the 69th-minute cross-cum-shot evidently not being registered as a shot at goal.
    Man Utd (3.10) 3-0 (0.00) Sheriff
    Rashford this year vs last
With his goal tonight Rashford has now overtaken his tally of goals from last season.
He had five goals in 32 games as he returned mid-way through the season from a big injury.
But after a proper pre-season and a new system role for him he appears to look sharp and most certainly knocking on the door for a return to the England set-up.
He has six goals and three assists from 14 games, though three of the games he has played in saw him come off the bench.
    Unbeaten in seven
With United now unbeaten in seven games, Rashford reflected: “Yeah, it’s took a lot of hard work and time as well to adapt and change.
“But we’re understanding it more and more now.
“We’re keeping more and more clean sheets and defending better.
“We still need to score more goals going forward but three goals tonight is good for us.”
    Rashford one off 100 goals
Rashford is now one off 100 goals for United, and asked whether that played a part in his mind, he said: “Nah, it’s about getting the job done.
“It will be nice when it does happen. You know it will be a great achievement for myself and for my family, but yeah, focus on the next game now.”
On the importance of the final group game: “Yeah (we have the motivation to win) we have to go there and score two goals so we’ll do what we always do; we’ll try and create goals and score goals and also try and defend well.
“It’s going to be a tough game but we’re looking forward to the challenge.”
    More from Rashford
Asked if the team were frustrated to have not killed the game in the first half, Rashford said: “It’s a mixture between frustration and calmness to keep creating the chances and be clinical and take the chances that you create.
“The fact we scored just before half-time helped.
“We came out in the second half looking for more goals and more spaces and we managed to get some goals.”
    Rashford post-match
Speaking to BT Sport after the game Rashford said: “Yeah definitely (happy to win).
“They (Sheriff) set up to defend and play on the counter-attack.
“It took us a while in the first half and we actually got the goal from a set piece and its good to score from set pieces as well so we’re happy with that.
“When we got one nil up the game opened up a little more in the second half and we created a lot more chances and got more goals as well.”
    Group outlook
Man United’s win allows them to keep pace with group leaders Real Sociedad.
It means United can still achieve top spot in the group and avoid a risky draw in the Europa League round of 32 against one of the Champions League drop-outs – with some titanic clashes in the frame for those who come second.
However, they must beat Real Sociedad by at least two goals in San Sebastian after their controversial 1-0 win at Old Trafford.
    United in comfortable 3-0 win
Goals from Dalot, Rashford and Ronaldo have given United an easy 3-0 victory over Sheriff.
Ronaldo got a goal on his return from exile, but he could have easily had a hat-trick.
Garnacho looked very bright and as given Ten Hag a timely reminder that he can be very useful player to him going forward.
Harry Maguire’s return also provides a boost for United in defence following the loss of Raphael Varane.
Rashford’s header sees him get back among the goals after a five-game drought which will give Gareth Southgate a strong reason to consider him for the World Cup.
FULL TIME: Man Utd 3-0 Sheriff
    Man Utd 3-0 Sheriff
    90+1. Stupendous save from Koval.
Despite conceding three goals Koval can consider himself to have had a good game.
This time he climbs highest to make an unorthodox save against a Ronaldo header.
Those familiar with Volleyball might see the similarities in the save to that of a block on front of spike at the net.
    Man Utd 3-0 Sheriff
    90. United are looking for a fourth now as the game heads into injury time.
    Man Utd 3-0 Sheriff
    88. Van de Beek almost with a dream goal return.
He finds himself free at the back post and is played the ball into the dangerous area where he is situated.
But he is unable to latch onto the cross fully and sees his stretching shot sail wide instead of into the net.
    Man Utd 3-0 Sheriff
    85. It should be noted that there is audibly division in the ranks among the United fans.
While most fans seemed to cheer the goal and celebrate it, there were some jeers heard from a large portion of the crowd.
The old saying goes that football fans are fickle, but it seems some have not yet forgiven Ronaldo for his actions last week.
Ronaldo finally on the score sheet
    81. The Portuguese forward has been begging for that.
He finds some space between two defenders and heads a Rashford cross towards goal.
Koval is able to save it but Ronaldo is first to the rebound and smashes it home.
He then opts for the celebration he did at Everton rather than his signature Siiiiiuuuu.
    Man Utd 3-0 Sheriff
    GOOOOOALLLLL
RONALDO GETS HIS GOAL AT LAST
    Man Utd 2-0 Sheriff
    79. Donny van de Beek makes his return to the United pitch by replacing Garnacho.
The Argentine leaves the pitch to a resounding ovation.
    Man Utd 2-0 Sheriff
    77. Rashford almost grabs his second.
