EXCLUSIVE: Young reflects on 2018 heartache
Ashley Young admits it still “kills” him discussing Croatia’s comeback win in Russia four years ago.
He said: “I cannot watch it. We should have won it. We should have got to the final.
“Even now, it kills me trying to talk about it. I don’t like hearing about the game, either.
“I know how good an opportunity we had as a group. We were naive in the second half.”
    This time lads, this time.
EXCLUSIVE: Maguire booing is ‘borderline bullying’, says Young
Ashley Young, who has 39 caps, has also backed under-fire former United team-mate Maguire to star despite his torrid time at Old Trafford.
He said: “You are going to be criticised because you are captain at one of the biggest clubs in the world. But the criticism he is  getting has gone too far.
“He can play well for England and gets booed. He can play well for United and he gets booed. It is borderline bullying.
“But he is a  strong character and can deal with it.”
EXCLUSIVE: Southgate has changed culture, says Young
Gareth Southgate has changed what it means to play for England, says Ashley Young.
He added: “The criticism Gareth Southgate is getting is absolutely ridiculous. It  is bulls**t.
“Because he has not taken a team into the latest final of the Nations League, people think that he should be criticised.
“Of course, going into a  tournament you want to be winning games. But Gareth has totally changed what it is like to be with England.
“In previous years, under other managers when I was there,  players were pulling out because they did not enjoy it.
“They were not injured. Gareth has managed to get the nation together.”
EXCLUSIVE: ‘Special’ England team can win it all, says Young
Ashley Young is convinced England can win the World Cup — and has urged the country to get behind manager Gareth Southgate and the players.
The Aston Villa veteran, included in the provisional 55-man squad for Qatar, has told the nation’s fans to prepare for an incredibly successful tournament run, which starts with Monday’s opener against Iran.
Young, 37, told SunSport: “There is something special coming from this England team. The country has to get behind them.
“Get behind every single player. Don’t single them out. Get behind all of them to go out and win this tournament.
“From the time Gareth has taken over, he has made a difference. These players will be more than ready.
“With the way the Euros went, I give us every chance of going to the tournament and winning it.”
BREAKING: Nkunku to miss World Cup
Christopher Nkunku’s World Cup hopes are reportedly over after he sustained an injury in France training.
The RB Leipzig star limped out of Les Bleus’ session at their Clairefontaine base after being on the end of a late challenge.
Training footage obtained by French outlet RMC Sport appears to show Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga inadvertently catching Nkunku late in a 50-50 tackle.
The attacker immediately shows his discomfort, sitting on the ground and shaking his hand at the pain.

Nkunku appeared to be caught on the ankle – putting his hopes of playing in Qatar in jeopardy.
Fabrizio Romano then tweeted: “Christopher Nkunku will miss the World Cup due to injury in today’s training session.”
    Football crazy
Paul has travelled tens of thousands of miles to tournaments including Italia 90, France 98, and Brazil 2014.
He jetted to USA 1994 despite England not even qualifying – and travelled to Japan and South Korea in 2002 by bus, train and boat.
The 7,000 mile journey – via Iran, Pakistan and China – took two months and raised £5,000 for charity.

    Paul the other one
A footie-mad dad is set to share a world record – by attending TEN World Cups in a row.
West Brom fan Paul Dubberley, 63, first watched England crash out to Maradona’s Hand of God in Mexico.
When he lands in Qatar this month he will have visited every tournament since 1986 – across all corners of the globe.
And he will match the Guinness World Record for the number of consecutive contests – set by a Venezuelan businessman at Russia 2018.

    England’s fixtures
A reminder of England’s World Cup fixtures over the next couple of weeks.
Southgate’s Three Lions will look to finish top of the group and start with a healthy win on Monday against Iran.

    You can’t do that Bud!
Budweiser has been told to hide its beer stalls at World Cup stadiums after Qatar’s royal family wanted alcohol to be less visible.
The Muslim-majority nation agreed to sponsorship from Budweiser when it launched its bid for the World Cup, which kicks off on Sunday.
Alcohol is allowed in hotel bars, restaurants and other places that are away from public view but these restrictions have been relaxed for tournament.
The installation of beer stations outside eight stadiums has been underway for most of the last month.
But late last week a senior Qatari royal asked for the beer concessions to be moved to less visible sites, the New York Times reports.

    More on World Cup boozing
Those who want the alcohol-free version of the beer will have to splash out £6.91, with water at £2.30.
World Cup chiefs have wrestled with the demands from Fifa for drink to be available for fans with the customs of the Gulf State and the desire for supporters to stay under control and not booze to excess.
Budweiser stated that fans will be limited to a “maximum purchase of four Budweiser units per person.”
This is to prevent binge-buying and anyone must prove they are over 21 to be able to buy alcohol.
    How much?
England World Cup fans must cough up nearly £12 for LESS than a pint as pre-tournament promises proved a Doha desert mirage.
Qatar 2022 organisers had indicated that the country’s strict drink laws and sky-high prices would be relaxed for fans coming from across the world.
While hotel bars were expected to be expensive, suggested prices for beer in the fan zones and at stadiums had been in the range of £7-£8 per pint.
But now official beer suppliers Budweiser – the only company allowed to sell alcohol in any official site at the World Cup – have unveiled the shock booze news.

In an advertising flyer posted by the American brewing giant, the price list makes clever that hopes of normal-priced beer for travelling fans have disappeared.
Urging fans to “Drink Wiser, Cheer Better, Hydrate Between Buds”, a half-litre of Budweiser – equal to seven eighths of a pint – will cost 50 Qatari Rials, or £11.61 at today’s exchange rate.
    Saka’s smooth response
Arsenal fans were left beaming after Bukayo Saka gave a confident response to Man City star Kyle Walker over this season’s title race.
England stars have now headed to Qatar for the winter World Cup.
It saw Arsenal and Man City stars collide for the first time since September’s international break.
And Etihad icon Walker couldn’t resist asking Gunners favourite Saka a cheeky question as they greeted each other.
Walker asked: “When are you guys going to stop winning?”
But Saka was cool as a cucumber as he instantly replied: “Don’t worry about that bro!”

Three Lions jet makes a statement
England flew on a Gay Pride jet — to show a red card to host nation Qatar’s intolerance.
Boss Gareth Southgate and skipper Harry Kane led the 26-strong squad on board “Rain Bow”, a Virgin Atlantic A350 Airbus.
It features a motif of Oscar — the airline’s LGBTQ+ Union Jack-trailing flying icon — beneath the cabin.
The gesture was proposed by FA chiefs keen to register concern about gay rights in the strict Muslim state where homosexuality can still carry the death penalty.
Southgate has vowed to make a stand.
He said: “We’re very strong on inclusivity. We understand the challenges that this tournament brings . . . the human rights challenges.”

    More on England flight
The Three Lions flight, scheduled for 10am, eventually departed Birmingham Airport at 10:41 this morning – landing in Qatar at 4:57pm UK time

England are set to get their tournament underway against Iran next Monday.
They will then face the USA on Friday, 25 November – before completing Group B with a home nations clash against Wales on Tuesday, 29 November.
England are staying at the Souq Al Wakra Hotel in Qatar, with the Three Lions having booked all 101 rooms.

    Today’s journey
Some England stars were in Premier League action as recently as Sunday, before linking up at the national training base at St George’s Park yesterday.
Earlier today Southgate and Co were given an incredible send-off as they departed St George’s Park.

The England manager was greeted by a sea of screaming kids waving flags and cheering him on.
Many reached out to Southgate and he began high-fiving the children, leaving them ecstatic by doing so.
With the crowd stretched out so far he had to wave to the others before boarding the coach to the airport.
BREAKING: Three Lions arrive in Qatar
Skipper Harry Kane led England stars off the plane as the Three Lions arrived in Qatar.
Gareth Southgate’s men have touched down in the Middle East tasked with ending 56 years of hurt – having come so close to winning Euro 2020 last year.

    Prince of the pack
The Prince, who is the President of the FA, also shared a message with the Three Lions squad.
He said: “What you and Gareth have built here is something special, that’s clear to see.
“Play for each other, support each other, enjoy it, and I’m sure you’ll go far.
“I’m really here to point out the rest of the country is behind you, we’re all rooting for you. Enjoy it.”
    ‘Pride in the shirt’
The boxes also contained a message from manager Gareth Southgate, which Maguire shared on social media.
It read: “Qatar 2022 will only be the 16th time England have appeared at a World Cup.
“As we represent over 55 million people, of all ages from every community, you will also remember everyone who has helped you reach this point.
“Wear your shirt with pride and embrace the opportunity to make history.”
Kane also shared a photo on Instagram of the moment he received his package from Prince William, which he captioned: “Pride in the shirt 🦁🦁🦁.”

Prince William showers England squad with personal gifts
Prince William presented every England player with their own personalised package before the World Cup.
The Prince of Wales met the squad on Monday before they flew out to Qatar today.
He spoke to the whole group and was seen laughing with Harry Kane, Jack Grealish and Kieran Trippier after handing out his gifts.
Each member of the squad was presented with their shirt number and the history behind it.
The box told the stars how many England players have worn their number before and at which World Cup.

‘Truly an honour’ to play for England, says Wilson
England hot shot Callum Wilson claimed he knew in 2017, that he’d return to Qatar as part of his nation’s World Cup squad.
He said: “Back in 2017 I was in Qatar doing rehab work on my ACL injury when I said to myself ‘I’ll be back here in 2022 to play in the World Cup’.
“So to now be on the verge of flying to Qatar with England for the tournament is truly an honour and I’m determined to grasp this opportunity with both hands.
“I 100 per cent believed what I was saying at that time. Anyone that knows will know exactly what I was doing when I said that to myself back in 2017.
“I set my mind to a target I wanted to achieve and whilst it has been a long and whirlwind five years, it’s one that I’ve enjoyed and has gotten me to the point where my hard work can continue on the World Cup stage.”
Will ‘Super Jacky Grealish’ be a No1 hit?
All profits from the album will help fund Stonewall’s work to combat LGBTQ+ oppression in Qatar and across the world.
Other noteworthy tracks on the album include England favourites ‘Super Jacky Grealish’ and ‘England till I Die’ as well as a World Cup take on ’12 Days of Christmas’.
The new rendition cheers on the squad, name-checking Gareth Southgate, Harry Kane, Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham.
The album of World Cup terrace anthems has been available to stream on Spotify and to buy on iTunes since Tuesday, November 15.

What is on Crouchy World Cup CD?
Eight-track charity album ‘Crouchy Conducts The Classics’ also features orchestral versions of ‘Who Ate All The Pies’ and ‘We Love You England’.
Ex-Tottenham and Liverpool striker Crouch makes his conductorial debut in the concept album which has been created in partnership with bookmaker Paddy Power, who have launched a record label to support the new release.
The Stoke legend, 41, leads a 20-piece orchestra through a canon of terrace anthems, supported by a full gospel and chamber choir and three world class operatic soloists, including Potts, who mesmerises with his stirring rendition of ‘You’re Not Singing Anymore’.
Crouch said: “I’ve always dreamed of releasing my own album – so what better time than during a World Cup at Christmas?”
    Crouchy’s Christmas album
Former England hero Peter Crouch has released a Christmas album with opera star Paul Potts – mashing football terrace chants with classical music.
The unlikely collaboration in time for the World Cup sees the duo deliver a unique twist on popular fan songs such as ‘Enger-land, Enger-land Enger-land’ and ‘V.A.R My Lord. V.A.R’.

    Back to business for Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo returned to the training pitch for the first time since his interview with Piers Morgan as he linked up with his Portugal teammates.
The 37-year-old missed Manchester United’s last two games through illness, but he was back on the grass today.

    Lahm slams FIFA’s Qatar decision
World Cup winner and Germany legend Phillipp Lahm has slammed FIFA for allowing Qatar to host the World Cup.
He said: “FIFA has damaged football and it’s credibility as a western organisation.
“Football isn’t a popular sport in Qatar and there is practically no opportunity for girls to play”
    Ronaldo blasts Glazers
Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has slammed controversial US owners the Glazer family — saying: “They don’t care about the club”.
Ronaldo revealed he has never exchanged a single word with any of the family since his return to the club, despite being one of the world’s biggest football stars.
The star forward accused them of being more interested in United being a “marketing club” rather than a football club so they can pocket more cash.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner told Piers Morgan he believes the Glazers “don’t care” about the club and only see it as a cash cow.
Ronaldo said: “The owners of the club they, listen they don’t . . .”
He added: “The Glazers, they don’t — they don’t care about, about the club. I mean, professional sport.
“As you know this, Manchester is a marketing club. They will get its money from the marketing, the sport, it’s . . . they don’t really care, in my opinion.”
Asked: “Do you ever talk to them, the Glazers?”, Ronaldo replied “Never. No. They give all the power to the president, sport director”

    Ronaldo slams Neville
Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has accused former team-mate Gary Neville of criticising him to get more fame — and declared the TV pundit is no friend of his.
Neville recently said after the Tottenham game that saw Ronaldo refusing to come on as a substitute: “We know him, we love him but he can’t accept not being the star man. He’s going to have to leave, that’s it.”
Ronaldo said: “To listen as ex-colleagues or team-mates criticise you, when they only see one point of view. It’s easy.
“It’s easy to criticise, I don’t know if you have a job in television that they must criticise to be more famous. I really don’t understand it.
“It’s hard when you see people who was in the dressing room with you criticising that way.”
When asked if Neville had used his name to get attention, Ronaldo responded: “I think they take advantage of that because they are not stupid.
“I’m the number one followed guy in the world. It’s not by coincidence”
    Jesus’ Spurs snub
Arsenal star and Brazil international Gabriel Jesus didn’t mention rivals Tottenham among his team’s Premier League title threats this season.
Jesus said: “We cannot look to others.
“We know Man City , obviously I know them more than most of the people. But we have to do our job. We know the Premier League is not easy, it is the toughest league in the world.
“It is not only Man City – it is Liverpool, Man United, Chelsea. What can we do? Just focus on ourselves that is all”
    More from Ronaldo
Manchester United superstar and Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo claims the club’s hierarchy didn’t believe his newborn daughter was ill and that’s why he didn’t attend pre-season.
Ronaldo told piers Morgan: Uncensored: “The executives at Manchester United didn’t seem to 100% believe my newborn daughter was ill.
“It’s painful because they didn’t take my word for it.
“That’s why I didn’t attend the pre-season preparation camp. I had to be there for my family”
    Ronaldo speaks out
Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has broken his silence following his explosive interview.
Ronaldo hit out at United for “betraying” him and making him feel like a “black sheep”, blamed for everything going wrong at Old Trafford.
The star forward has fled the drama by linking up with Portugal ahead of the 2022 World Cup.
And the five-time Ballon d’Or winner shared a photo of himself alongside several of his international team-mates.
Ronaldo issued the following caption: “Total and absolute focus on the work of the National Team. A united group, towards a single objective: to fulfill the dream of all Portuguese people!”

    Not done yet
Wales do not expect the 2022 World Cup to be a last hurrah for Los Angeles FC star Gareth Bale.
Manager Rob Page said: “He will carry on. I expect him to be there. I do.
“I will tell you why, irrespective of what is going on in his career, he is always there for Wales. Whether he is playing or not at club level he just loves playing for Wales.
“If we have two games back-to-back, I’ll say to him, ‘You’re not starting the second game, I’ll see how it goes and might need you late on’.
“But he will be the one going to me on the bench, ‘Get me on. I want minutes. I can affect the game.’ I am having to pull the reins on him. He just loves playing for Wales, especially in Cardiff”
    Tears and jeers
Arsenal ace Gabriel Martinelli revealed how he sobbed at being called up for Brazil’s 2022 World Cup squad.
Martinelli said: “I’m very happy, it’s one of the most important moments in my life and in my family’s life as well – I’m buzzing. I’m so excited to go there and be part of this team.
“I cried a lot, I couldn’t even talk and I was with my family and on the phone but I needed to turn the phone off and call them later because I couldn’t even talk.
“I think it will be good for my career and to play in the World Cup will be amazing. I’m so excited to go there and I’m prepared for the challenge and and I hope we will win it”
    Lionel’s Mess-tiny against England
Paris Saint-Germain superstar Lionel Messi could face England in his 1,000th career match at the 2022 World Cup.
Messi will captain Argentina in Qatar and could reach the milestone should his side make it to the quarter-finals.
The Albiceleste will face Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Poland in their group, which they are favourites to finish top.
However, if the Three Lions finish second in their group alongside the likes of USA, Iran and Wales, then there could be a potential meeting between the two sides.
The Copa America winners would have to win their group and beat the second-placed side from Group D, which will be one of Denmark, France, Australia and Tunisia.
While England would have to beat the top-placed side from Group A, which will be between the Netherlands, Senegal, Ecuador or Qatar

    Ron for us

Morgan believes Ronaldo would lead the Gunners to the Premier League championship alongside Gabriel Jesus.
Asked on Twitter if he hoped the North Londoners would sign the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, the journalist responded: “Yes, actually.
“He’s exactly what we need. Ronaldo and Gabriel Jesus would take us to the title”
    Benzema’s Ronaldo statement
Real Madrid star Karim Benzema has revealed that he has not received a message from former team-mate and Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo after winning the Ballon d’Or.
Benzema was asked if Ronaldo had contacted him after he won the award, and he said: “No, not yet.”
The Portugal captain has won the Ballon d’Or five times but was not in the running for it last year even though he was United’s top scorer last season.
France star Benzema is now looking forward to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and is hopeful of helping his country lift the trophy, especially as the day after the final is his 35th birthday

    Eriksson’s Ronaldo advice
Former England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson has advised Manchester United to offload Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo after his explosive interview.
Eriksson told Saxo: “The manager will try to put out the best eleven and make changes during the game in order to win as many games as possible for the club as big as Manchester United.
“If you don’t play well, if United lose too many games, who will get the blame? Ten Hag. You have to play the best players you think will win the game for you even if it means dropping a big name player like Ronaldo.
“We are talking about one of the best players in the world for many, many, years, scoring goals for fun. I think personally, it’s very important that you sell Ronaldo because he cannot stay.
“I don’t think he should stay at Manchester United if he doesn’t play. He’s too big of a name and it will always create these discussions”

    Ronaldo bombshell interview recap
Manchester United superstar and Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo says he feels betrayed at Old Trafford in an exclusive interview with The Sun columnist Piers Morgan.
Ronaldo made several explosive claims as his career at United looks all but over.

LA Galaxy star Hernandez is going strong at 34-years-old, currently playing in America, and is still one of the more high-profile names among the country’s footballers.
But Mexico manager Gerardo Martino has left the striker out of his squad – and even opted for Wolves’ Raul Jimenez, who has been out for much of the season due to injury.

The Copa America winners are among the favourites to win the competition
    Kimpembe OUT of World Cup
Paris Saint-Germain and France star Presnel Kimpembe has been ruled out of the 2022 World Cup due to injury.
Kimpembe has played less than 90 minutes of football since mid September and has since withdrawn from the squad due to a lack of match fitness after consulting with the national team’s doctor.
The centre-back will be replaced by Monaco ace Axel Disasi ahead of the Qatar tournament.
The Frenchman was part of the squad that won the 2018 World Cup in Russia

Maddison gave the nation some good news when he took to Twitter after the game.

Fulham were without main man Alexander Mitrovic at the weekend as he missed out due to injury.
He is expected to lead the line for Serbia in Qatar but his injury has led to many Serbians worried about his fitness.
But manager Dragan Stojkovic has confirmed that Mitrovic is going to the tournament.
He comically said: “Mitrovic will go to the World Cup without a leg, we can also cut his head off – he will still go.”
    USA show solidarity

The Americans face Wales first before playing Iran and England.

    Mexico release World Cup squad
Mexico have announced their squad for the World Cup.
They are in a group with Argentina, Poland and Saudi Arabia.
Former Man Utd and West Ham striker Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez has not made the cut.
He scored 18 goals in the MLS season as LA Galaxy finished fourth in the Western Conference but it is not enough for the 34-year-old who burst onto the scene at the 2010 tournament in South Africa.
Raul Jimenez has been included despite struggling with injuries.

While Paul retorted: “Come down here and fight me bro.”

    Floyd speaks on Deji’s shot
Deji landed a peach of a shot on Floyd Mayweather in the fifth round.
And this was very much noted by Floyd in his post-fight interview.
The Money man said: “I’m glad that Deji landed a good shot. This is part of fighting, this is part of entertaining.”

Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul AGREED – latest
Jake Paul and Tommy Fury have an agreement in place to reschedule their grudge fight once again.
Paul was a ringside guest for Fury’s boxing return on Floyd Mayweather’s undercard in Dubai.
Fury’s dad John ripped off his shirt and called out the YouTuber-turned boxer, before security intervened.
John later told press after the fight that he shook hands with Paul’s manager Nakisa Bidarian over a rescheduled date for February.
    Here we go February!
    Mayweather vs Deji result
Mayweather is FULL of praise for Deji and his brother KSI at the end.
Deji did land a belter of a punch there in the fifth!

    Mayweather vs Deji (Round 6)
Mayweather starts to spray Deji with punches.
Catching him with an uppercut, then jab, then headshot.
The referee steps in after seeing how the uppercut rocked him and stops the fight.
    Mayweather vs Deji (Round 5)
Mayweather teases his opponent dancing around his jabs.
Catching him off guard with jabs.
Then once caught himself he gives him a hardish bodyshot.
    Mayweather vs Deji (Round 4)
If this happened in your school, you would tell a teacher that Floyd is bullying people again.
Mayweather looks like he’s let himself go after hitting hard times.
Shadow boxing drunks in liquor store car parks with his top off.
Mumbling as he dances around ‘I’m Floyd Mayweather!’
    Mayweather vs Deji (Round 3)
Why do these commentators all keep talking over each other at once like it is interference.
    This is bizarre.
It is like Mayweather is play fighting with his kids at home.
    Mayweather vs Deji (Round 2)
If anyone has ever seen a boxer by the name of Prince Naseem that is pretty much what we are watching here with Floyd.
    Showboating to the extreme.
Toying with Deji, like a cat that lets a mouse loose to just trap its tail with its paw again.
    Complete mismatch.
    Mayweather vs Deji (Round 1)
Nothing of much note apart from lots of showboating by Mayweather.
It does look crazy to see him now with what looks like a dad-bod.
This is all one-way traffic, Deji has not laid a glove on him yet.
    King of the hype
Mayweather dances around the ring as music plays.
People can feel themselves aging in the crowd as they wait for this exhibition match to start.
Children who came here today for this bout are now adults.
    Mayweather heads towards the ring
The audio is well out of sync as Floyd walks in led by a rapper whose lips are not moving at the same speed as the audio being played.
    Classy start for Mayweather.
Deji is already in the ring, let battle commence.
Apparently we are minutes away from some boxing
    TMT: The Milking-it Team
This production really do drag these events out.
It’s about 2am in Dubai and if this exhibition match is anything like the Tommy Fury fight we may have a riot on our hands.
You can still hear a pin drop apart from the pundits ringside with their mics, everyone else may be asleep.
    Delay to the ring-walk
Rumours circulate that a dispute over the gloves they wear has slowed things down backstage.
Mayweather wants 10oz gloves worn for the exhibition bout.
As a result the ring-walk has been delayed.
    It’s all about the money
Floyd Mayweather had a professional career which saw him fight 50 times and claim 50 wins.
He fought 397 rounds of boxing in this time.
Mayweather also had a 54% KO record.
    Feeling the full Fury
Jake Paul has spoken about the incident with John Fury tonight:
He had the high ground. Anyone that knows about war knows the high ground. That was madness. Honestly, I thought damn…he should start an OnlyFans.Jake PaulInfluencer/Boxer
    Party atmosphere continues in Dubai
The noise within the venue is deafening, you can hardly hear the commentators.
It is all the tension building from that boxing showpiece from Tommy Fury in that exhibition bout.
We are still waiting for Mayweather to come out
    My dad’s bigger than yours
John Fury summoned his inner Hulkamania as he tore of his t-shirt and called out Jake Paul.
Demanding the YouTuber turned boxer fight him there and then.
Paul backed away seemed interested more in a war of words than firsts.
    True WWE vibes here.

    Double Fury at Jake Paul
Tommy Fury called out Jake Paul, demanding he get into the ring there and then.
After his dad tore his t-shirt off and declared himself the bareknuckle king, his son them starts trying to get him, held back by his minders.
    Welcome to……Made in Dubai.

    Building to the main event
We wait for the big fight with Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather and Deji.
The one we have all been waiting for.
Hopefully more punches thrown than the last fight.
    The entertainment ramps up
John Fury tears his t-shirt off like something from WrestleMania and demands Jake Paul jump in the ring now and fight him.
Declaring himself the bare-knuckle champion and to fight him now.
Both Tommy and John shout down from the ring to Jake Paul.
This has now gone full ‘Snatch’.
    Now for something completely different
Rolly Lambert vs Tommy Fury (Round 6)
It is questionable as to whether bouncers would break this up in a nightclub or not.
You most definitely wouldn’t be getting thrown out.
The boxers dance and hug and jab.
Six rounds of exhibition boxing ends, that was not a ‘must see’.
Rolly Lambert vs Tommy Fury (Round 5)
There is no danger of this breaking out into a fight anytime soon.
A series of jabs with no weight behind the punches at all.
The boxers hug it out for most of that round and tap gloves as they walk to their corners.
Rolly Lambert vs Tommy Fury (Round 4)
The crowd to continue to boo which Lambert takes offence to.
He holds both of his arms in the air in gesture to the crowd.
I think both boxers may have agreed ‘not the face’ before the contracts were signed for this one.

In his post fight interview he says thanks to the fans before calling out Jake Paul…
” I wanna say one thing, there is a certain b***h I want in this ring right now, tell him to get in here, because he would never have the balls to step in and fight a man of this calibre on a few hours notice.
“Get him in this ring now, get in here now if you’re not a b***h.

And more criticism from Jake Paul on commentary.
“Other than sitting next to you (Wade) this is a waste of my damn time.”
We are heading into round six, and it is still a quiet one so far.
“He thinks he’s his brother, he’s an Instagram model, and I think I might actually kill him.”
Round four. Tommy Fury vs Rolly Lambert.
“Lets get it started” rings out between rounds…
Perhaps the DJ is the same as the crowd and wants to see this fight really get started.
    The crowd continue to boo.
“Molly you can do much better…”
Jake Paul has some more choice words for Tommy on commentary.
This certainly looks like an exhibition…
Round three. Tommy Fury vs Rolly Lambert.
Tommy calls Jake Paul a b***h, and takes the time out to address Jake Paul on the side of the ring.
The crowd start to BOO Tommy Fury, and they want to see some action instead of just good footwork…
Round two. Tommy Fury vs Rolly Lambert.
Jake Paul says he’s not sure if Tommy Fury even has power, says he is repetitive and predictable.
“He’s a model, and he needs to stick to that.”
“He got his girlfriend pregnant, the first time he’s not pulled out of something.”
    Fighting talk from Jake.
It’s a little hesitant from Tommy in that second round, as they continue to feel each other out.
Paul’s commentary is the most entertaining thing about this fight so far…
Round one. Tommy Fury vs Rolly Lambert.
Tommy starts to get going here, and working the jab on the first round.
It’s a quiet first one as they feel each other out.
    Here comes Tommy Fury…
Jake Paul says “I can’t believe he’s actually fighting somebody, this is amazing!”
Fury looks ready, but this will not be easy for the Love Island superstar!
    Jake Paul is here!
Jake Paul strolls out to ‘Party In The USA’
He is currently commentating as Rolly Lambert comes out to ‘Radioactive’ by Imagine Dragons.
    Fury up next
Tommy Fury’s return to the boxing ring is up NEXT.
He was due to face Paul Bamba but a weight disagreement saw the American withdrawn.
Instead, Fury will fight Rolly Lambert over six exhibition rounds. Due to the late notice nature of the bout, it’s not being professionally sanctioned.
    KSI is here!
KSI just walked in, and the crowd has gone crazy.
He will be here to watch his little brother, who is going to be in the ring with Floyd Mayweather later on tonight!
KSI, on the other hand, has already been called out tonight by Tyron Woodley, and we could see some business being done behind the scenes…
    Not much of an exhibition…
    That was a real fight!
J’hon Ingram and Kouzi were both impressive there, but it must be said that Ingram came out of it the better of the two of them.
Still full credit to Kouzi, and both fighters arms are raised after this exhibition.
    Round three. Ingram vs Kouzi.
Ingram is working a variety of shots in this third round, and these two are really going at it now.
Ingram gets some good uppercuts on Kouzi, and it must be said that he is still on top here.
Kouzi wears a big shot on the ropes, and credit to him for taking a few of those.

    Marcus Rashford
The Manchester United forward has returned to form this season after suffering a difficult 2021/22 campaign.
Rashford’s uptick in form has come at just the right time for him to be named in Gareth Southgate’s 26-man England squad for the World Cup.
Rashford was fantastic in his team’s victory over West Ham two weeks ago when he scored an Alan Shearer-esque header to earn Manchester United all three points.
He’ll be hoping for more of the same today.
    Familiar faces
There’s a couple of names on the Fulham team sheet that’ll look familiar to Manchester United fans.
Andreas Pereira and Dan James made 95 appearances for the Red Devils between them.
The narrative writes itself this afternoon…

    Craven Cottage
In an era where the majority of Premier League grounds have modern, shiny bowls for stadiums, Fulham’s Craven Cottage is reassuringly old-school.
But that newly-built Riverside stand is doing its best to bring the stadium into the 21st century.

    Ronaldo’s absence
Have we already seen Cristiano Ronaldo’s final appearance for Manchester United?
Speculation linking him with a move away from Old Trafford in January has been circling around for a long time now.
The Portuguese is missing today’s game through illness.
Erik Ten Hag could have done with him today as he’s been forced to name only eight substitutes – and two of those are goalkeepers.
    Roy Hodgson
    Look who it is!
The former Fulham and England boss will be in attendance for this afternoon’s game.

    Carlos Vinicius
The Brazilian has big shoes to fill at Craven Cottage this afternoon.
Vinicius is still searching for his first Fulham goal after joining the club in the summer.
Vinicius was on loan at Spurs two seasons ago and scored one league goal in nine appearances.
Marco Silva will need him to contribute more than that this season.
    World Cup influence
It may be cynical of me but it’s hard to not feel as though the imminent start of the Wold Cup has affected Erik Ten Hag’s team this afternoon.
That being said, the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo and Antony does give players such as Elanga and Martial a chance to prove their worth to the United boss.
    Fulham substitutes
Could we see Dan James come off the bench to haunt his former team later on?
Fulham subs: Rodak, Adarabioyo, Duffy, Chalobah, James, Onomah, Mbabu, Harris, Sekularac.
    Man Utd susbtitutes
Erik Ten Hag doesn’t seem to have a lot of attacking options on the bench if his team needs a late goal today.
Man Utd subs: Bishop, Dubravka, Maguire, Fred, Van de Beek, McTominay, Garnacho, Izbal.
    Fulham starting XI
Vinicius leads the line for the Cottagers in Mitrovic’s absence.
Fulham XI: Leno, De Cordova-Reid, Diop, Ream, Robinson, Palhinha, Cairney, Pereira, Wilson, Willian, Vinicius.

    Man United starting XI
Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo both miss today’s game with illness and Antony hasn’t recovered from his injury in time.
Man Utd XI: De Gea, Shaw, Lindelof, Martinez, Malacia, Eriksen, Casemiro, Fernandes, Elanga, Rashford, Martial.

    World Cup
We’ll find out whether the upcoming World Cup in Qatar has an effect on proceedings this afternoon as players, somewhat understandably, try to avoid injury before joining up with their respective international squads.
Fulham have six players heading out to Qatar in the days following this match, while Manchester United have 15, including the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Luke Shaw and Lisandro Martinez.
    Manchester United injury news
Cristiano Ronaldo has been suffering from illness in the week so is a doubt for this one.
Raphael Varane, Brandon Williams and Axel Tuanzebe are all ruled out for Erik Ten Hag’s side, but Antony could be in line to return after recovering from a hip injury.
We’ll have the official teams news in around 15 minutes’ time.
    Fulham injury news
The big news for Fulham is that Aleksandar Mitrovic has been ruled out of today’s match after picking up a foot injury.
Marco Silva is also unable to call upon Neeskens Kebano and Manor Solomon due to injury.
Kenny Tate and Harrison Reed both miss out through suspension.
    Hello from Craven Cottage
Good afternoon and welcome to our coverage of the Premier League fixture between Fulham and Manchester United.
Today’s game is the final Premier League fixture before the domestic season takes a break for the World Cup in Qatar.
Fulham have surprised many onlookers with their performances in this campaign and could leapfrog Chelsea and possibly even Brighton (depending on the result of their game against Aston Villa) with a win today.
The Red Devils are currently fifth in the Premier League table, six points behind Tottenham and the pressure is on Erik Ten Hag’s team to close that gap to the top four.
Fulham were unfortunate to lose away at the Etihad last weekend when Erling Haaland’s 95th minute penalty decided the game in Manchester City’s favour.
Manchester United, meanwhile, were comprehensively beaten at Villa Park in a match that was reminiscent of the Red Devils’ early season form.
The result was certainly a surprising one, especially considering that Erik Ten Hag’s team were on a nine-match unbeaten run heading into the game.
Fulham have to look back to December 2009 for the last time they beat Manchester United in the league, so a win for the home team here would certainly be a turn up for the books.
Who are you backing for this one?
