Liverpool 2 Wolves 0: Stalwarts Van Dijk and Salah score to see Klopp’s men clinch vital win

YOU could forgive Liverpool’s fans for not exactly relishing their trips to Anfield these days.Despite a deserved win over Wolves, there will still be a few nagging fears over what lies in store when Manchester United rock onto Merseyside on Sunday.
Mo Salah celebrates his goal v WolvesCredit: Reuters
Yet just a week after the Reds suffered a famous European night at home but for all the wrong reasons – a 5-2 humiliation by Real Madrid – Jurgen Klopp’s team kept alive those hopes of a top four spot.
Like so many occasions since he arrived at the club five years ago, just when they needed him, Virgil van Dijk came to the rescue although this was at the other end.
Just when you got the feeling it was not going to be the club’s night, with Darwin Nunez having seen a goal ruled out for a foul, van Dijk broke Wolves’ resistance with Mo Salah getting the second four minutes later.
Liverpool still have a chance of gatecrashing the top four like two years ago, when they needed a header from Alisson against West Brom to keep them on course.
    READ MORE FOOTBALL NEWS
There is still plenty of time to go and they have narrowed the gap with Spurs to six points and they have a game in hand.
But for large periods last night, Liverpool still looked like the team without any fizz.
Little wonder they had managed just 25 goals in their previous 11 Premier League games at home with nine of those coming against Bournemouth.
Compare that to last season when Liverpool had the most ferocious record at home, with 14 wins, five draws and 49 goals scored.

After a really dodgy couple of results, the most important thing here is that they found a way to win.
Wolves, who beat Liverpool 3-0 at Molineux just 25 days earlier, will have fancied their chances of getting a point at half-time but in the second half, they simply did not create enough.
Darwin Nunez returned after missing the awful goalless draw with Palace due to a shoulder injury and he does improve the team, despite also being a frustrating player.
Equally, Liverpool still looked dodgy at the back and Alisson had to be on his toes to keep out a decent effort by Joao Moutinho

Stefan Bajcetic, who had already been applauded by the home crowd on a few occasions with some mature play beyond his 18 years, continues to look a real player.
Yet he found himself booked for a late challenge on Matheus Nunes and that put the brakes on the teenager’s game..
A lively-looking Salah provided Liverpool’s greatest attacking threat and he gave left-back Hugo Bueno the runaround.
In one Salah raid down the right, Bueno suffered an injury and he had to be replaced by  Rayan Ait-Nouri.
The comedy moment of the first half came when Salah and Moutinho had a tussle with each other ahead of a home corner. Salah then gave Moutinho such a barge that he fell backwards, bounced into team-mate Sa and ended up on his backside.
Harvey Elliott, rewarded with a start after a positive impact against Palace, wasted the best chance but steered Nunez’s cross comfortably wide.
And in first half stoppage time, Elliott’s bobbling, awkwards shot looked set to bounce into the bottom corner until Sa got a big left hand to the effort.
Nunez missed a free header from the resulting corner with Wolves’ fans singing: “you’re just a sh*t Andy Carroll”.
Liverpool, who had 60 per cent possession in the first half, were not given too many problems by Wolves who unleashed Adama Traore and his oiled-up arms.
Elliott had another chance and Liverpoll created nothing until the midway point of the second half.
Nunez thought he had put Liverpool ahead but after that VAR check, ref Tierney agreed that Diogo Jota had fouled Kilman.
But Liverpol were rewarded for their persistence and Wolves could not really complain.
It was a case of second time lucky for van Dijk who saw his initial effort saved by Sa but Jota was first to the loose ball and pulled the ball across the face of goal to give the Dutchman an easy header..
And just four minutes later, Salah, sealed the three points,
Alisson hammered the ball up , Kostas Tsimikas tore down the left and his cross was turned into the goal by the thigh of Salah.

So, unlike seven days earlier and that embarrassment to Real, Klop was all smiles.
Equally, he knows some much tougher tests are around the corner – starting with their biggest game of the season in three days’ time. More

    More on Kane
Tottenham assistant coach Cristian Stellini revealed Harry Kane was dealing with an illness before the FA Cup clash with Sheffield United.
Stellini added: “He was ill one week ago and he didn’t train on some days because he was very ill.
“After he played a game with a fever he was very ill, so he didn’t.
“For that reason we decided to keep him on the bench and maybe play a part of the match. A player like this also needs to work not only to play”
    Why Kane didn’t start
Tottenham assistant head coach Cristian Stellini revealed Harry Kane didn’t start at Sheffield United because he had to “take care” of his best player.
Stellini said: “It is not a regret. We need to look in the medium period, we have many games.
“Harry Kane played in the last six games, one time with fever, one time with a problem, we have to take care of our best player.
“It’s not about Harry because we played with Richarlison, Lucas Moura and Sonny [Son Heung-min].
“I think it is good enough to play in this competition and against this sort of team”
    Trophy drought continues
Tottenham are on course to miss out on a trophy for yet another season.
Spurs have just been eliminated from the FA Cup’s fifth round after losing 1-0 at Sheffield United.
The North Londoners were also knocked out of the Carabao Cup in the third round last November.
Antonio Conte’s men are still in the Champions League, but are not among the favourites and will have to overturn a 1-0 deficit from AC Milan at home in the Last 16.
Tottenham are also fourth in the Premier League table with 15 points away from the top.
Therefore, it looks like the trophy drought will be extended to 15 years
    Ten Hag scolding
Manchester United skipper Harry Maguire revealed manager Erik ten Hag gave the players a scolding at half-time when the score was goalless.
Maguire told MUTV: “He [Ten Hag] went fairly strong, to be honest, he knew we had to up it.
“We knew it, or we’d lose the game. To come out as well and for them to score a great goal, although we thought it was out. I know you have to play to the whistle and I’m sure we’ll get a telling-off from the manager, but the last 30 minutes we found something.
“The crowd sucked the ball into the back of the net at the Stretford End. It was a tough game. The first half we weren’t at our best, a bit slow, I don’t know why. Maybe Sunday, with the celebrations, as we lacked a little bit of tempo.
“We spoke about the game, tonight was all about winning and progressing. I must say the last 30 minutes were really good, relentless from the lads and great fight. After having the goal disallowed, we could have dropped out heads and sulked.
“The second one is a stand-out from [Alejandro] Garnacho, so really pleased for him and I’m sure he’s going to score more matchwinners in front of the Stretford End”

    United have that winning mentality
Erik ten Hag has manage to instil a confidence within his squad where they fight until the final whistle.
They have managed to grind out results even when they are not at their best.
Keeping their winning run going, it breeds a mentality where they will feel they can beat anyone as they showed against Barcelona.
Next stop, Anfield and their bitter rivals on Sunday.
Big month ahead for Red Devils
Man Utd have five games coming up that will really decide the course their season takes.
They travel to Anfield on Sunday to play Jurgen Klopp’s underperforming Liverpool side where the form guide is torn up for such a game.
Add to that European ties against Real Betis before a league game against a Newcastle side looking to exact revenge for an EFL Cup final defeat.

    Bruno provides sucker punch
Bruno Fernandes turned on the style in the second half with some pinpoint crossing that really stretched West Ham.
Supplying Casemiro for a goal that was chalked off for offside, it was his corner that led to the equaliser and Aguerd’s own goal.
He was a constant danger with his passing and eventually managed to provide the crosses that allowed Man Utd to win the game.

    It’s all gone Pete Tong
1-0 up with fifteen minutes left to play, David Moyes must have fancied his chances of a place in the quarter finals of this season’s FA Cup.
It went pear-shaped for The Hammers as Nayef Aguerd heads it passed his keeper who is in no-man’s land as the ball nestles in the back of the net.
Alejandro Garnacho then scores a pearler in the 90th minute to give ten Hag’s side the lead, before Fred made it three deep into added time.
    Credit: PA
FT: Man Utd 3-1 West Ham
Erik ten Hag’s side head into the quarter finals of the FA Cup after leaving it late here at Old Trafford.
He will be pleased how they came back with three goals in the last thirteen minutes of the game.
The quadruple is still on for the Red Devils.

FT: Man Utd 3-1 West Ham
The referee brings the game to a close.
What an ending to the game, United turning the game on its head as we seemed to be heading to extra-time.
Confidence at Old Trafford is sky-high at the moment.
    Man Utd 3-1 West Ham
90+5. As West Ham throw numbers forward, United work the ball into the box again.
Fred finds himself unmarked on the penalty spot and sidefoots a shot towards goal.
It seems to take a deflection, wrong-footing the keeper and ending in the back of the net.
    Goal – Fred (Man Utd)
    Man Utd 2-1 West Ham
90+4. This is heartbreak for the visitors.
To give away a lead and then concede a second so late on will really hurt them.
This Man Utd side do not seem to know when they are beaten.
    Man Utd 2-1 West Ham
90+2. With four minutes of added time remaining.
West Ham are on the attack but it breaks down and United immediately come away on the break.
The ball is played to Rashford who tries to bury it in the far corner but it goes agonisingly wide.
    Man Utd 2-1 West Ham
    90. Fernandes finds Weghorst whose shot is blocked by the defender.
The ball ricochets out to Garnacho who takes one touch and bends it into the top corner.
    Areola does not even move.
    What a time to score.
    Credit: AFP
Goal – Alejandro Garnacho (Man Utd)
    Man Utd 1-1 West Ham
    88. It remains to see if either side can create one more chance here to win this game.
The last thing Man Utd will want is another 30 minutes with two big games coming up in the next 7 days.
Both sides would probably take penalties right now.
    Man Utd 1-1 West Ham
    86. Bruno Fernandes has put some great crosses into the box in this second half.
Pinpoint accuracy from the Portuguese midfielder.
    Sabitzer makes way for Fred.
    Antonio comes off for Scamacca.
    Man Utd 1-1 West Ham
    84. Fernandes puts another ball straight onto the head of Casemiro in the box.
This time he cannot divert it passed Areola.
Fred is about to come on for Man Utd.
    Man Utd 1-1 West Ham
    82. Garnacho cuts into the box and goes down in a heap screaming for a penalty.
The referee is not interested at all.
As the replay proves him right, the United youngster tripped over his own feet.
    Man Utd 1-1 West Ham
    80. The hosts are piling on the pressure now.
United feel they can get another goal to save themselves having go to extra-time.
What a moment that was when Antonio shot instead of squaring it for a tap in.
    Credit: Alamy
    Man Utd 1-1 West Ham
    78. What a comedy of errors from the West Ham defence.
Fernandes’ corner comes in, Areola comes out to punch and Aguerd heads passed his keeper into his own net.
Old Trafford erupts as Weghorst runs away acting like he had scored the goal.
If only there was no cameras here Wout.
Goal – Nayef Aguerd (own goal)
    Man Utd 0-1 West Ham
    76. Strange decision from ten Hag to going 1-0 down, bringing on a centre back in Martinez.
He tries to thread a pass through from the halfway line but it runs straight out for a goal kick.
Big fifteen minutes for United to keep their quadruple dreams alive.
    Man Utd 0-1 West Ham
    74. Jarrod Bowen comes on for Pablo Fornals.
What a time it would be for him to get a goal off the bench.
West Ham have had a reprieve with that VAR decision.
    Man Utd 0-1 West Ham
    72. VAR is taking an age to check this one.
It is crazy how long these take.
The goal has been disallowed, Casemiro began his run too soon and was offside.
Big cheer from the away end.
    VAR is checking the goal
    Goal – Casemiro (Man Utd)
    Man Utd 0-1 West Ham
    70. It is West Ham on the attack again.
They seem to believe that their best way to protect this lead is to get a second goal.
It is getting a little untidy from both teams as they both give away possession far too easily.

The full-time match stats between Arsenal and Everton
    Everton rue their mistakes
It was poor from Everton tonight, and they were ultimately outclassed.
They had their chances in the first half, but failed to capitalise before being torn apart by Arsenal’s attack.
They find themselves in the relegation zone tonight now, but they have the opportunity to turn it around against Nottingham Forest up next.

    Arsenal go five points clear
It’s five points now that separate Arsenal and Manchester City, having both played 25 Premier League games.
Arsenal were worthy winners in the end tonight, and grew to dominate the game after a shaky start.
Everton had two big chances before The Gunners even registered a shot on target, but the inability to convert came back to bite them when Bukayo Saka opened the scoring.
Once they were in the lead, they never looked like losing it.
Gabriel Martinelli added a second, before Odegaard made it three 20 minutes before the end.
At the death it was Martinelli who made it four, following some great work by substitute Eddie Nketiah, who was unfortunate not to have a goal of his own.

    90. Arsenal 4-0 Everton
Nearly all over at the Emirates, and they have a corner at the death as they look to make it five.

Tierney and Emile Smith Rowe are the players who come on.
    82. Arsenal 4-0 Everton
    It’s four for Arsenal!Champagne futbol.
After that huge miss from Nketiah he does brilliantly this time to ghost in behind and lay the ball off to Martinelli.
Martinelli makes no mistake, and taps home.
    80. Arsenal 3-0 Everton
That would have been an unbelievable goal if Arsenal got the ball in the back of the net there! That was so, so slick.
Textbook Arsenal as they glide around the pitch, it falls to Saka in the end, who misses the target this time.
Nketiah then misses a glaring opportunity in a 1v1 with Jordan Pickford. Poor.
    77. Arsenal 3-0 Everton
Arsenal are enjoying themselves, and exuding confidence here now.
They are spraying the ball about the pitch at their will, and have been brilliant in the second half.

Eddie Nketiah and Fabio Vieira are on for Arsenal, they come on in replacement of Granit Xhaka and Leandro Trossard.
    73. Arsenal 3-0 Everton
It was a lovely finish from Martin Odegaard, following some great work by Leandro Trossard.
He got down the left hand side, and cut it back perfectly for the Norweigan attacker on the penalty spot.
He arrived perfectly, and rifled it home.
    71. Arsenal 3-0 Everton
Odegaard makes it three for Arsenal!
It is Trossard who gets the assist for The Gunners!
    68. Arsenal 2-0 Everton
Yellow card for Ben Godfrey for a foul on Trossard.
He is too worried about getting his body in the way, rather than taking the ball away from the Belgian.
Slightly too aggressive from Everton as of late…
    66. Arsenal 2-0 Everton
A chance for Arsenal again, but this one is squandered by Martinelli following the corner.
    64. Arsenal 2-0 Everton
So neat and tidy from Arsenal here.
Partey has injected that calmness into this Arsenal side.
Xhaka underlaps Martinelli, and wins a corner for The Gunners, Trossard to take.
    62. Arsenal 2-0 Everton
    Double change for Everton…
Demarai Gray is coming on for Neal Maupay here, and Ben Godfrey is on for Seamus Coleman.
    60. Arsenal 2-0 Everton
Chance for Trossard! It is lashed at by the Belgian after a teasing cross from Ben White.
The ball sails over the crossbar, but Seamus Coleman has done so well there to put him off.
    57. Arsenal 2-0 Everton
All the Arsenal songs coming out now at the Emirates.
    “SALIBA! Dudududududududu”

James Tarkowski gets the first yellow card of the evening.
He has been aggressive all evening, but this one is a stretch too far for him and he gets a booking.
    50. Arsenal 2-0 Everton
Mykolenko tries to make a challenge on Saka, but the Arsenal winger stands on him in the process.
The Ukrainian needs some medical attention so the ball goes out of play.
It is given back to Pickford to play on…
    46. Arsenal 2-0 Everton
Back underway in the second half, and there is one change for each team.
Mason Holgate has come on for Idrissa Gueye for Everton.
Thomas Partey is on in place of Jorginho for Arsenal.
    HT. Arsenal 2-0 Everton
This game could have been so different, as Everton missed two chances before Arsenal even registered a shot on target.
However, The Gunners soon turned the game on it’s head before half-time.
Saka firstly with a brilliant turn inside the box, which was matched by the finish.
Then it was Martinelli’s turn to get on the score-sheet, as Saka played him through after pouncing on an Idrissa Gueye mistake.

    Still to come…
There is much more action still to come in the FA Cup fifth round, and these are the games we are still yet to see:

    Southampton vs Grimsby
    Burnley vs Fleetwood
    Manchester United vs West Ham
    Sheffield United vs Tottenham

The best game of the round is expected to be Manchester United against West Ham, as David Moyes looks to provide a glimpse of hope for The Hammers otherwise gloomy season.
He will have to get the better of his old club if he is to do that…
    Game of the night?
We were treated to a brilliant night of FA Cup football tonight, with nine goals, and no bore-draws.
We are going to go with Leicester vs Blackburn, because who doesn’t love an underdog?
Which of the games was your favourite?

    Fulham win the PL clash
The only all Premier League match-up of the night involved Fulham and Leeds, and it was the hosts that came out victorious at Craven Cottage.
A Joao Palhinha rocket on the 21st minute meant that Fulham took the lead relatively early on, and that settled them into the game nicely.
Sometimes in football, things just don’t go your way, and that’s how Fulham would have felt, when Georginio Rutter’s header caressed the inside of the post just before half-time.
Half-time came and went, and before they knew it Fulham had a 2-0 lead, with Israeli winger Manor Soloman continuing his impressive goal scoring form, which made it four in as many games for him.
Another win for Fulham this season, and they find themselves in the hat for the FA Cup quarter-finals, dark horses – perhaps?
Manor Soloman made it four in four for himself this seasonCredit: Getty
    Blackburn shock Leicester
The upset of the round definitely came at the King Power Stadium…
It was a goal either side of half-time that secured the victory for the Championship side.
They got the win and qualification to the next round, but it didn’t come easy, as Leicester were attacking hard in the second half.
They thought they had a way back into the game when Kelechi Iheanacho scored from the bench, and then thought they had an equaliser when Amartey hit the post after the 90th minute.
Ultimately, it wasn’t meant to be for The Foxes…
    Manchester City strut their stuff
While Bristol City put on a great showing at Ashton Gate for the home fans, it was the visitors who were strutting their stuff by the end of the game.
Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden were the treacherous twins tonight, with the ginger magician scoring a bending effort from outside the box to capitalise on the Englishman’s brace.
Having both spent a bit of time away from the starting XI recently, the duo were brilliant tonight, and proved why they are world-class players.

    Into the hat
This is a round-up of tonight’s results, with all winning teams progressing into the quarter-finals of this season’s FA Cup…

    Stoke City 0-1 Brighton
    Leicester 1-2 Blackburn
    Fulham 2-0 Leeds
    Bristol City 0-3 Manchester City

Full-time: Bristol City 0-3 Manchester City
It’s all over in Bristol, with Manchester City progressing to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
It wasn’t as easy as the scoreline may suggest, with the visitors getting two goals in the second half.
Bristol City gave a very good account of themselves, but it wasn’t enough to stop the force that is Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
    Bust up in Bristol
    88.
Plenty of commotion kicking off at Ashton Gate, with a clash between Williams and Bernardo Silva leading to tempers boiling over.
All the players come running over to back their boys, before being separated by the referee and we get on with the game.
Goal! Bristol City 0-3 Manchester City
    81.
Kevin De Bruyne gets his goal!
It is a curling effort from outside the box, and that wraps up the game for Manchester City.
Great finish from a fantastic player.
    Full-time: Fulham 2-0 Leeds
Fulham are the third team to be welcomed into the FA Cup quarter-finals, as they have defeated Leeds at home.
Two screamers, one from Joao Palhinha, and one from Manor Soloman were enough to see the Londoners into the next round.
They join Blackburn Rovers and Brighton in the hat so far.

Goal! Bristol City 0-2 Manchester City
    74.
Phil Foden doubles his tally, and doubles Manchester City’s lead in the process! It looks as though it is going to be plain sailing for the visitors from here on out.
It was during Bristol City’s best spell in the game too, but like we said, that is what City are capable of.
Full-time: Leicester City 1-2 Blackburn Rovers
Blackburn Rovers have beaten Premier League opposition in Leicester City to progress to the FA Cup quarter-finals.
Despite a late onslaught from The Foxes, they could not get the ball in the back of the net, and were beaten by goals from Tyrhys Dolan and Sammie Szmodics either side of half-time.
    Congratulations Blackburn, into the hat!
Leicester hit the post! (Leicester 1-2 Blackburn)
    90+3.
Leicester have hit the post in the dying moments of the game!
Castagne gets down the right hand side, and crosses to win his side a corner.
Amartey wins the header from the set-piece, but it is onto the post!
Blackburn clinging on (Leicester 1-2 Blackburn)
    88.
Just like an annoying ex-girlfriend, Blackburn Rovers are clinging on to what they have got in this game.
Just a few minutes to go in this one, and Leicester are going for the equaliser with a number of changes on the pitch.
Can Blackburn see this one out?
    Back underway in Bristol
    54.
We are back in the game at Ashton Gate, as these two teams continue to chase a place in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
It has been a cagey opening to the second half, but it must be said the visitors have looked fairly comfortable thus far.
    Full-time: Stoke City 0-1 Brighton
Brighton are the first team to get through the FA Cup fifth round unscathed, and it is Evan Ferguson who is the hero sending them into the quarter-finals.
It was no easy game for The Seagulls, but they have passed the old ‘cold night in Stoke’ test.
    Goal! Fulham 2-0 Leeds United
    56.
Another magnificent strike! This time it’s Manor Soloman!
That’s four goals in four games for the Israeli winger!
A one-two with Mitrovic inside the box, and he bends a strike into the far right hand corner.
Goal! Leicester City 1-2 Blackburn Rovers
    67.
    Foxes never quit!
And it is that man again, Kelechi Iheanacho!
The Nigerian international baller has been sensational this season, and has found the net once again for Leicester.
Only subbed on in the 58th minute, it took him nine minutes to get his side back in the game.
    Assisted by Harvey Barnes.
    Game on.
Kelechi Iheanacho is a man in form for Leicester CityCredit: Reuters
    As it stands
    Stoke City 0-1 Brighton (82′)
Leicester City 0-2 Blackburn Rovers (65′)
    Fulham 1-0 Leeds United (50′)
Bristol City 0-1 Manchester City (HT)
    Back underway in London
    46.
We are back underway at Craven Cottage, as Leeds go hunting an equaliser.
They came agonisingly close at the end of the first half with a header from Georginio Rutter, who hit the inside of the post with a header.
They do have some quality from the bench, should they need that.
Half-time: Bristol City 0-1 Manchester City
Half-time at Ashton Gate, and while the scoreline may give you the impression that this game has been quiet, it has been anything but.
Alex Scott looks fantastic in the middle for the home side, but his side are yet to find that finishing touch.
Don’t be surprised to see Bristol get a goal in the second half, but we know what Manchester City are like.
We wouldn’t be surprised if this ends up 0-5, despite the hosts deserving so much more…
    Goal! Leicester 0-2 Blackburn Rovers
    52.
Blackburn have doubled their lead at the King Power!
It seems we have our first cup-set!Sammie Szmodics doubles their lead!
Brighton still in front at Stoke
    66.
No more goals at the Bet365 stadium just yet, as we approach the final 20 minutes.
Stoke haven’t come close enough to really suggest they are going to turn this one round, but one chance is all it takes.
    Half-time: Fulham 1-0 Leeds
It is the hosts who go into half-time with the lead.
Leeds have had chances in the first half, and thought that they had opened the scoring before it was ruled out by the referee.
It is the visitors finishing that has let them down so far, and with Patrick Bamford on the bench, you would imagine we will see him in the second half.
Just before half-time Rutter hit the post with a brilliant header that just bounced out.
    Fulham have been somewhat fortunate.

    Drake curse strikes again
The curse of rapper Drake has struck again as Jake Paul failed to knock out Tommy Fury.
Drake was hoping to make a huge profit on the fight, putting down a whopping £350,000 on the result of the bout.
He would have profited £1.2million, but has instead lost his money.
This is not the first time the Canadian has put down a lump sum on a sporting result.
And unfortunately he is not often lucky and a notorious ‘Drake curse’ has begun.
He has supposedly bet nearly £1BILLION on sport via crypto casino Stake.
The ‘Drake curse’ stems from him posing with stars like Conor McGregor and Paul Pogba just before they lost crucial matches.
In terms of betting he has dabbled in plenty of sports, he recently put thousands on Barcelona to beat Real Madrid and even sponsored Barca’s shirt for the game but they lost.
He also joined billions from around the world in watching last November-December’s World Cup.
Drake bet £837,000 on Argentina to win the World Cup in the final against France – but lost on a technicality.
The global sensation would’ve seen a return north of £2.26m had Argentina beaten France in regular time.
In F1, He tipped Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc to win the 2022 Spain Grand Prix with the Monegasques starting the race on pole position.
Drake placed £251,000 on Leclerc to win – but the Ferrari ace retired on lap 27 with a turbo and MGH-U failure.
He did win big on the Super Bowl though winning over £1.25m after the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles in Arizona.

    Cris-take
Man Utd fans were all left saying the same thing about Cristiano Ronaldo after he was pictured at the Jake Paul v Tommy Fury fight.
The 38-year-old, now playing his football in Saudi Arabia, was snapped only hours after United lifted the Carabao Cup.
The club have gone from strength to strength this season – even after Ronaldo’s explosive exit from the club at the end of last year.
And some United fans had little time for for the Al-Nassr star.
One said: “Looool the fall from grace, could’ve been lifting a trophy but sat watching a Jake Paul boxing match.”

    KSI trolls Paul fans
KSI revelled in the moment as Jake Paul lost to Tommy Fury, deciding to troll his fans.
He surprisingly jumped into a Twitter space conversation about the fight that was full of sad Paul supporters.
KSI said while bursting into laughter: “I just wanted to hear the tears.”
He was accused by rattled Americans of not fighting a ‘real boxer yet’.
KSI continued to laugh down the microphone and replied to comments suggesting he is going to face Joe Fournier: “I will destroy him and he is a boxer haha.”
He was then called a b***h multiple times but continued to laugh in their faces saying they’re crying enough to “quench the thirst of children in Africa.”
    John Fury praises Paul
After their long bitter feud, John Fury has graciously praised Jake Paul for his talent and desire.
Speaking post-win for his son, John said: “Jake Paul is a lot better than I thought he was.
“He has the right to say he is a professional boxer because he impressed the hell out of me.
“He took great shots, he gave great shots and he served up a fight that was a lot better than some British champions and high level boxers.
“But don’t forget they are raw novices. He [Tommy] made his father very proud and you know what, Paul’s family can be equally as proud as him because he showed determination, grit and steel and they both wanted to win that bad.”

    Froch delighted by result
Carl Froch has named Tommy Fury’s win as good for boxing purists as the YouTuber was defeated via a split decision.
Jake Paul and Froch have had their differences before and the American has called out the 45-year-old before.
Froch told BT Sport after the fight last night: “He’s done professional boxing purists a massive favour by shutting up Jake Paul.
“He can’t call himself a professional boxer because he’s gone in against a novice pro and got absolutely whooped. He got obliterated.”

“Get home to us our champ.”
Tyson loses bet despite Tommy win
Tyson Fury has lost a £100,000 bet, even though Tommy defeated Jake Paul last night.
With the stakes high, Tommy did not crack under the pressure and managed to seal a split decision victory.
But it was not good enough to save his older brother considerable cash as Tyson had bet that Tommy would stop Paul inside the distance.
Pre-fight, Tyson told iFL TV: “Tommy knocks out 90 per cent of people that he spars with or drops them at least, so he’s a very hard puncher and Jake Paul will find that out tomorrow.
“I’ve got 100 racks on it for an inside-the-distance stoppage, so if he loses, then I’ll lose 100 bags as well. I’ve got him at 3-1.”
    Fighting Talk
One of Jake Paul’s arch rivals KSI, has seemingly called out both the American and Tommy Fury on Twitter.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer celebrated gleefully as Paul lost to Fury and he confidently said he believes he could beat both.
KSI wrote: “Honestly I would destroy both Jake Paul and Tommy Fury.”
