That’s all from the Emirates Stadium
Both teams will certainly feel disappointed to come away from tonight’s game with just a point given the circumstances.
But, it’s still all to play for at both ends of the table.
Arsenal still have the Premier League title firmly within their reach while Southampton remain in touching distance from safety.
Thank you for reading, and goodnight!
    Ruben Selles reacts
When speaking to Sky Sports, the Southampton boss said: “I think from the very beginning we showed we are going to press high and sometimes it is hard to play against teams such as Arsenal and City as they have quality.
“We showed character and we showed what we can do we are proud of the work ethic and that is the way we need to follow from now.
“That’s two points dropped, but from me we showed something. For me it also two points dropped, but it is very hard here. I told them they did a fantastic job and we need to continue.”
“We have been feeling that it is there we didn’t get what we wanted in the game and last three games we have done really good I think we need that to show what we can do it. We need the momentum.”
    Credit: Reuters
    James Ward-Prowse reacts
When speaking to Sky Sports, the Southampton midfielder said: “A great game to play and incredible atmosphere and you can definitely feel the positive feeling here.
“We took our chances really well and we knew they’d come on in the second-half. It’s a good point to come here, but we are disappointed not to take all three.
“It’s a massive blow, but we have to take a lot of positives from it and I was surprised to see eight minutes at the end, a strange amount to be added on. But we have to defend better.
“We lost our identity a bit and Ruben has definitely got that back on track with the high aggressive press. I think we tired towards the end and we came up against a world-class side.”
“We need to follow it up with good performance and good results. We always get good points against the so called good teams but need to follow it up in following games.”
“There here is still a lot of football. We’ve got to keep believing.”

    Mikel Arteta reacts
When speaking to Sky Sports, the Arsenal boss said: “Obviously unhappy with the result.
“We made it very difficult again for ourselves but mistakes are part of football but the way we reacted I love my players more than ever.
“It is incredible, we were on the way back, we conceded again with a sloppy goal but in the end we should have won the game. We created enough chances and opportunities but it didn’t happen and we are disappointed.
“You can’t concede three goals in this league, if you concede three like we did in a sloppy way it is very difficult to win matches.
“This young team reacts in a way that is incredible, when it is against the odds but the chances they created and the spirit they had it was a joy to watch. The message is clear that I love them.
“We are down and they are more willing than anybody to win it. You can see that spirit and fight in the dressing room but it is clear we have to do defensively things better.”

    Gabriel Jesus reacts
When speaking to Sky Sports, the Arsenal striker said: “A lot of things is going on now.
“We don’t want to come here and talk negative because we are very positive, what we are doing this season is amazing. The Premier League is tough.
“Now is the difficult moment. It is time now to stick together until the end. We still have a lot of things to do this season, it is not over, we are still five points clear.
“Manchester City have two games in hand but if we want to be champions we have to go there to win the game – that is all.
“We are the youngest team in the league, not making excuses. Sometimes we do right and sometimes we do wrong, everyone can make mistakes that is why it is so important to stick together.
“Everything can happen. Obviously we are not happy with the last three games, we dropped points and we know this is true, no one has to tell us.
“We dropped a little bit of our level and focus, this is the Premier League, it is so difficult to win this competition.
“We are still there, we are still fighting and we will fight until the end.”

Manchester City are through to the semi-finals of the Champions League and will play Real Madrid.
Pep Guardiola’s side were dominant and put in a controlled performance against Bayern Munich tonight.
Read more on tonight’s game via SunSport as Thomas Tuchel was sent off and s***housery led to Erling Haaland missing a penalty.
    Credit: PA
    Tuchel’s tough start
Life at Bayern Munich has not been easy since Thomas Tuchel took over from Julian Nagelsmann.
He has took charge of six matches, winning just two, his first against Borussia Dortmund and clash with Freiburg.
Since then, he has overseen Bayern being knocked out of the Champions League to Man City and the DFB Pokal to Freiburg.
They also failed to beat Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga.
    “We are exhausted”
Pep Guardiola has claimed that his players are “exhausted” and he is unsure how fit they will be for the FA Cup clash against Sheffield United on Saturday.
Guardiola said: “Of course, three years in a row in the semi finals of the Champions League.
“We struggled in the first half. Upamecano broke all the lines down our left side and we struggled with Coman. We were fortunate before the penalty miss, they had one or two chances and anything could happen but we defended really well.
“The finishing from Erling was really, really good. He is so young. The experience that we have in this competition, the players feel it a lot, they want to do it really well. The second half was much, much better since minute one.
“We are exhausted. I don’t know how we recover to play against Sheffield United.”
    Silva’s post-match thoughts
Bernardo Silva has spoken to BT Sport on City’s Champions League hopes, Erling Haaland and Real Madrid.
Silva said: “We struggled until February because we couldn’t get in that usual run we had before of winning 10-15 games in a row but now we are very consistent, we feel we have a chance in every competition and we are going for them.
“We are at that point of the season where if you drop your performance in one game you are out of a competition. It is going to be tough but we are going to work very hard to bring some titles home.
“Building win after win, that confidence, it is very important and we need to keep it that way.”
On Haaland, Silva said: “Erling is a special player, a different player to what we had in the past. He doesn’t need many touches. He is like a shadow for 85 minutes and touches the ball once it is a goal.
“When we have that special player in attack it makes us feel more comfortable at the back.”
On Real Madrid in the next round after losing to them at that stage last year: “Revenge? Hopefully yes.
“We will go for it definitely. We always go for it but we feel the team is very, very confident at the minute. I think we are going through.”
    Elsewhere… Milan derby ahead
Inter Milan have beat Benfica 5-3 on aggregate to set up a Milan derby in the semi-final.
Simone Inzaghi’s side beat the Portuguese outfit 2-0 in Lisbon then got a 3-3 draw at the San Siro tonight.
AC Milan beat Napoli yesterday and it sets up a highly-anticipated tie in the next round.
Semi-Final draw – ties to be played on 9th/10th and 16th/17th May:

    AC Milan vs Inter
    Real Madrid vs Man City

City to go all the way?
Man City dominated at home and produced a controlled display away and deservedly go through to the semi-finals.
Bayern got out off the blocks fast and created chances in the opening stages.
But City weathered the storm and stood strong, then after they looked more than assured and they did not look fazed by the occasion.
With Haaland up top and the flair of De Bruyne behind him, they will always score goals.
Yet, it is the defensive that will get the plaudits tonight. Dias and Stones were exceptional at the back and nobody could get past Rodri in the heart of midfield.
City have comfortably beaten one of the best sides in Europe over two legs and are playing with such confidence.
They look unstoppable in this competition. However, in Real Madrid they face the most experienced side in the world when it comes to performing on the biggest stage.

Full Time: Bayern Munich 1-1 Man City (1-4)
Man City are through to the semi-finals and will meet Real Madrid.
Haaland may have missed a penalty before he eventually did get his goal with a clinical finish.
Kimmich added a late equaliser but it was not enough.
The third year in a row City make the last four in the Champions League and they look more than capable of lifting the trophy this year. An incredible performance.

    Bayern Munich 1-1 Man City
90+4. The cameras pan to a disapointed Tuchel.
His Bayern team have thrown everything at City tonight.
But Guardiola’s men are working so hard and have been defensively and tactically fantastic tonight.
    Bayern Munich 1-1 Man City
    90+2. What a chance.
The ball is spread wide to Davies and he fires it towards the front post.
Mane is there and he smashed it just wide.
    Bayern Munich 1-1 Man City
    90. Five minutes added.
Bayern fans have seen enough and are heading to the exit.
Upamecano wishes he was following them as his nightmare tie gets worse as he gives the ball away again.
    Bayern Munich 1-1 Man City
    88. Let the chaos continue. Stanisic gets a yellow card. That is the eleventh of the game including those for Tuchel.
He has one bite at Grealish, doesn’t foul him.
So, he decided to go in for him again and it’s a certain yellow card.
    Bayern Munich 1-1 Man City
    86. Tuchel sent off, second yellow. He has completely lost his cool, not for the first time tonight.
Grealish instigated the latest issue by pulling back Coman after getting him in a headlock.
    Bayern Munich 1-1 Man City
    85. Davies does brilliantly, charging down the left at a rapid speed.
He pulls it back to Tel on the edge of the box and he fires it over.
    Bayern Munich 1-1 Man City
    84. Haaland goes off and Alvarez comes on.
Bayern fans boo off the ex-Borussia Dortmund star.
GOAL: Bayern Munich 1-1 Man City
    83. Kimmich scores.
He goes down the middle and Ederson dives to his left.
It will be nothing more than a consolation.
    Bayern Munich 0-1 Man City
    81. VAR are checking for a Bayern penalty… and it has been given.
Mane booted the ball at Akanji’s arm from point blank range.
It’s a terrible decision, there is nothing that Akanji can do to get out of the way.
    Bayern Munich 0-1 Man City
    78. Pavard is off and Stanisic comes on.
Bayern are left frustrated as Ederson easily claims a corner.
    Bayern Munich 0-1 Man City
    76. Goal for Bayern, but no it won’t count.
Coman is adjudged to be offside, he picked up the ball and had the curling shot that was saved by Ederson and then tapped in by Tel.
It won’t stand and it remains 0-1.
    Bayern Munich 0-1 Man City
    74. Again City defend brilliantly.
The ball is fizzed into Tel and Dias steps in the way so he cannot control it.
    Bayern Munich 0-1 Man City
    72. Muller and the youngster Tel are on.
    Replacing Musiala and Choupo-Moting.
    Bayern Munich 0-1 Man City
    70. Bayern cannot break down City, who are showing how good they are out of possession.
Musiala shows close control to combine with Kimmich.
But he is crowded out and is left with no choice but to try an ambitious and scooped ball forward that is calmly dealt with by Laporte.
    Bayern Munich 0-1 Man City
    67. Laporte comes on for the injured Ake.
Tuchel is growing more and more angry at the slow passing from his Bayern side.
Choupo-Moting has a weak shot into Ederson’s arms.
    Bayern Munich 0-1 Man City
    65. More boos from the home fans as Ake goes down with an injury.
However, it does not look like time-wasting.
Ake is holding his hamstring and he will probably have to be taken off.
    Bayern Munich 0-1 Man City
    63. Davies on and Cancelo off.
Then it’s the two that had the fight after last week’s loss – Mane on for Sane.
The two do shake hands as the substitution is made.
    Bayern Munich 0-1 Man City
    62. The belief has been sucked out of Bayern Munich and Man City are loving it.
The confidence is now showing as Grealish makes a number of defenders squirm with his trickery.
And De Bruyne strolls over to take a corner.

Real Madrid will find out their semi-final opponent tomorrow when Manchester City face Bayern Munich.
Read more reaction to Chelsea’s loss via SunSport’s player ratings.
And check out the major blunder before kick-off at Stamford Bridge.
    “We were much improved”
After the game, Frank Lampard told BT Sport: “We played really well for 60 minutes. We created chances but you have to take them.
“You don’t want to praise the performance too much when you lose at this level but we were much improved.
“This club has been further in this competition and the players can take this feeling forward with them for the future.”
On the rest of the season, Lampard says: “You’re playing for Chelsea. So regardless, every game you play you have to give everything.
“I won’t let anyone off the hook and we have to show. That standard cannot drop.”
    Lampard’s horror run
Frank Lampard has won just one of his last 18 games as a manager, losing 15 of them, in a run that dates back to his time at Everton earlier this season.
He has also lost all eight of the games he has took charge of in 2021.
Lampard also becomes the first manager in Chelsea history to lose his first four games as manager of the club.
The Blues have lost four consecutive games for the first time since 1993.
    Gallagher’s post-match thoughts
Conor Gallagher spoke to BT Sport after Chelsea suffered their fourth defeat in a row.
He said: “I feel like we played well and had a lot of chances. But football is all about taking your chances which we didn’t do today.
“Of course we are going to be gutted. We haven’t got that [cutting edge] at the minute but that was definitely a big improvement on recent performances.
“We pushed players forward and Real Madrid were able to catch us a couple of times. We take it one game at a time. Hopefully we can build on the performance because I feel it was positive in a way.”
    Match Stats
    The stats highlight Chelsea’s problem.
Loads of shot, lots of pressure, but they again can’t find the back of the net.
    Meanwhile, Real Madrid were clinical.

    Goalscoring problems hurt Chelsea again
Frank Lampard and Thiago Silva clap their fans home but both will be frustrated with the way the game panned out.
The manager was criticised by fans before the game begun due to his team selection that saw Chelsea start with four central midfielders.
However, Lampard’s plan worked perfectly in the first-half as the Blues were comfortably the better team and had two big chances to score.
Yet, it was perhaps his team selection that led to the chances being missed.
N’Golo Kante is not the man you want on the end of a bouncing ball and Marc Cucurella also doesn’t have much goalscoring history.
Chelsea put many balls into the box but there were rarely any takers or any player ready to pounce on a loose ball or dart into the box.
It is crazy how Todd Boehly has spent over £600m in two transfer windows but they still lack a striker and in-form attackers.

    AC Milan knock out Napoli
AC Milan have beaten Napoli 2-1 on aggregate.
Stefano Pioli’s side drew 1-1 tonight in Naples with Olivier Giroud and Victor Osimhen scoring the goals tonight.
Napoli are miles ahead in the Serie A table, with Milan 22 points behind them in the league, yet they go through to the semi-finals to play either Inter Milan or Benfica.
Full Time: Chelsea 0-2 Real Madrid
Chelsea are out of the Champions League, losing 4-0 to Real Madrid on aggregate.
The Blues had plenty of chances to get themselves back in the tie as Kante and Cucurella missed glorious opportunities in the first-half.
In the end, they are left to rue those chances not taken as Real Madrid showed their quality and experience to net twice via Rodrygo.

    Chelsea 0-2 Real Madrid
90+1. Two minutes before Chelsea get put out their misery.
Pockets of empty seats are beginning to form as Fofana gives away a free-kick.
Real Madrid are seeing the game out, keeping control of the ball.
Chelsea are set to lose four successive games for the first time since 1993.
    Chelsea 0-2 Real Madrid
    89. Mudryk gets a yellow card for catching Modric late.
A sliding tackle that is full of frustration about the result.
Felix then has a shot from 30 yards that flies into row Z.
    Chelsea 0-2 Real Madrid
    88. Chelsea’s season summarised.
Mudryk is offside and the flag saves some embrassment.
The Ukrainian winger is in, Courtois narrows down the angle well, but somehow Mudryk fails to even get his shot on target. Disappointing.
    Chelsea 0-2 Real Madrid
    86. Real Madrid are trying to walk it home now, showing off their class.
Vinicius has a chance to shoot but he instead opts for a cheeky pass to Ceballos.
Chalobah is there to intercept it and drive forward out the defence, yet there is a lack of movement up front. Belief that Lampard spoke about before the game is now all gone.
    Chelsea 0-2 Real Madrid
    84. Chelsea look demoralised, Real Madrid are cruising.
Valverde has been exceptional all evening and he is pulling the strings in midfield with his energy and great passing.
The intensity has completely gone from the Chelsea performance.
    Chelsea 0-2 Real Madrid
    81. Asensio and Nacho come on for Rodrygo and Carvajal.
Ancelotti resting his key players now.
    GOAL: Chelsea 0-2 Real Madrid
    79. A goal that oozes class and it sends Chelsea fans to the exit.
    Rodrygo with another tap-in.
Vinicius pulls it back to Valverde as he skips past Mudryk and Silva with silky touches.
The Uruguayan then passes it across the face of the goal for Rodrygo to smash it in.
Bayern Munich or Man City will play Real Madrid in the semi-final.
    Chelsea 0-1 Real Madrid
    77. Subs for both.
    Mount is on for Havertz.
And for Real Madrid, Kroos comes off for Ceballos.
    Chelsea 0-1 Real Madrid
    75. Vinicius Jr is away and through on goal – everyone expects it to go 2-0.
However, Mudryk uses all his speed to zoom back.
He and Chalobah do enough to prevent Vinicius getting a clear shot away.
    Chelsea 0-1 Real Madrid
    73. Felix does so well, dribbling the ball out of the defence into the attack, nutmegging an opponent on the way.
But he tries to release Sterling and his pass is intercepted by Camavinga.
Chelsea frustration grows. The cutting edge and confidence in attack just is not there.
    Chelsea 0-1 Real Madrid
    71. Benzema hands the captain’s armband to Modric.
He trudges off the pitch after a very poor performance from his standards – he has not really touched the ball much in threatening areas and given it away far too often.
    Tchouameni comes on.
    Chelsea 0-1 Real Madrid
    70. Havertz throws himself to the floor after being lightly tapped by Modric.
The referee and VAR tell him to get up.
    Chelsea 0-1 Real Madrid
    69. That man again with the block, Militao.
Kante shifts it wide to James, who opts to pull it back to the edge of the box to Sterling, only for his shot to hit the centre-back and fo out for a corner.
    Chelsea 0-1 Real Madrid
    67. Here comes the three changes.
    Felix for Gallagher.
    Sterling for Fernandez.
    And Mudryk for Cucurella.
    Chelsea 0-1 Real Madrid
    66. Incredible skill from Vinicius Jr, dancing around multiple Chelsea defenders.
The ball drops to Benzema and his first time shot is straight at Kepa.
    Chelsea 0-1 Real Madrid
    65. Fernandez has a go, his shot is powerful but Courtois is down quickly to make a good save.
    Chelsea 0-1 Real Madrid
    63. It is the travelling Real Madrid supporters that can be heard singing for the first time tonight.
Mudryk, Sterling and Felix are going to come on.
Maybe too late with the scoreline as it is now.

    Nottingham Forest 0-0 Man Utd
    23. If VAR is going to add positives to the game, we need to get rid of this mindset that it is there for ‘clear and obvious errors’.
It should be there to apply the laws of the game, nothing else.
The constant Howard Webb apologies are tiresome and of no consequence to teams when it costing them points.
As it stands, VAR is about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike.
    Nottingham Forest 0-0 Man Utd
    21. Forest are appealing for a penalty for handball.
The replay shows Maguire handled with his arm in a very unnatural position.

Both are opting for a more direct attacking mode.
This seems to suit Forest more as they play this way all the time.
Antony tries a shot from outside of the box and it is high, wide and not very handsome.

    Nottingham Forest 0-0 Man Utd

    13. It is a packed-house at the City Ground today.
The home fans are making themselves heard and creating a cauldron of noise when they come forward.
United need to find a way to silence these fans.
    Nottingham Forest 0-0 Man Utd
    11. It has been a lively start by both teams.

He looks to stroke the ball home but it is blocked by Wan-Bissaka.
Both sides close to opening the scoring here.
    Nottingham Forest 0-0 Man Utd
    5. That gives Forest a chance to run at the United centre back now.
Any mistake from Maguire could see him get his marching orders.

    3. Navas did well to block that shot with his foot.
Maybe Fernandes needed to lift the effort more.
Big chance for the visitors to take the lead early on there.
Harry Maguire picks up a yellow card for hauling a player to ground.
    Nottingham Forest 0-0 Man Utd
    1. United look to press from the off.
Sancho overruns the ball and the hosts win the ball back.
They lose it again and United come forward, the keeper gets a hand to a cross but the ball drops to Fernandes.
His shot is blocked but that was a big chance for the midfielder.
Kick-off: Nottingham Forest vs Man Utd
We are underway at the City Ground.
It is an electric atmosphere in Nottingham.
Man Utd get the game started.
    First goal key to game
With both sides having suffered a dent to confidence and form of late, the first goal of the game today is even more important.
If the hosts get it, United’s reshuffled defence could crumble.
Should the visitors get it, the pressure mounts on both Nottingham Forest and their manager.
    United with potential injury concerns
Man Utd had a nightmare in the week with two key players falling foul to injuries.
It seems that goalscorer Marcel Sabitzer may have picked up an injury in the warm up today at the City Ground.
While this has yet to be confirmed, it would no doubt mean Christian Eriksen slotting into the starting line-up.
    Forest needing change of fortunes
Having lost four of their last five league games, Nottingham Forest currently occupy the third relegation place, although Everton are only above them on goal difference.
However, they have only lost one of their last eleven Premier League games at the City Ground.
They are looking to set a new club record of scoring in fourteen consecutive Premier League games at home.
    History favours Red Devils
Man Utd have won their last nine fixtures against Nottingham Forest in all competitions.
They have scored at least three goals in each of their last six league games against today’s opponents.
Forest are on a run of nine league games without victory, the last time they had such a run it was ended by a 1-0 victory against Liverpool.
ten Hag looking for cutting edge
As he arrives at the ground looking like the latest addition to the cast of Peaky Blinders, the Dutch manager will be looking for a clinical touch to his team today.
All too often they have invited sides back into games that they should have put to bed.
With a huge opportunity to all but guarantee Champions League football next season, three points are key.

    John says
“Boxing is different from wrestling and stunt choreo. I know how hard I worked, I know how hard Harley worked. I have all the respect in the world for that man.
“There are some influencer boxers I have zero respect for. Jake Paul, Logan Paul. They make me sick. Overnight tough guys. The entire Misfits boxings. Jake Paul got beat. Logan got beat by KSI, which is why I’m going to put KSI on blast right now. You hear me? Come on.”
    IT’S OVER!

Ethan Nestor lands a big right hand on the ear of Leonhart.
It rocks his opponent and as Ethan follows it up with punches it is plain to see that Leonhart is not responding as he should.
Smart move by the referee to stop it.
