    Barcelona 3-0 Real Madrid
Barca may have ended up with the win, but it was nowhere near as clean-cut as the scoreline would suggest.
Real put up a fight, and clattered the woodwork on what felt like countless occasions, but simply couldn’t find that clinical finish needed to get past the brick wall that was Ter Stegen.
Fittingly, the German was handed the man of the match honours following the game.
    Fulltime: Barcelona 3-0 Real Madrid
And that’s all she wrote as Barcelona walk away with the bragging rights.

    86. Vinicius hits the woodwork yet again!
The Brazilian has been extremely unlucky tonight not to have found the back of the net after a series of narrow misses.
    GOAL BARCELONA
    84. Femin Lopez scores an absolute STUNNER with just six minutes to go to give Barca a 2-0 lead.
Some Real fans may take issue with that as Kroos had been left on the deck following a tackle just prior to the shot.
    Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid.
    82. Vinicius shoots just wide before Rodrygo is taken off for Abdelkader.
Some fans have slowly begun to make their way to the exits as this one draws to a close.
    Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid
    80. Garcia is booked for Barca as the game enters the final ten minutes.
Time is running out for Ancelotti’s men if they’re to even things up and force a penalty shootout.
    Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid
    75. Xavi makes multiple changes as De Jong, Lewandowski, Romeu, and Balde make way for Dest, Alonso, Fati, and Torres.
They’ll be hoping these fresh legs can inject some life into a game that has quietened down this half.
    Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid
    74. The official attendance is 82,026.
This marks the highest for a football game in AT&T Stadium’s history and marks the highest attended El Clasico in U.S. history.
    Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid
    72. Substitution for Real Madrid as Bellingham is replaced by Joselu.
The England international’s first El Classico had its moments but was ultimately relatively quiet on the whole.

The crowd have been notably quiet for much of this second half as tension grips AT&T.

More changes look imminent with further substitutes warming up for both sides.

Shortly after, Madrid are awarded a free kick on the edge of the penalty area.
    Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid
    57. The old guard has arrived as Kroos and Modric take to the pitch in place of Valverde and Camavinga.
Let’s see if these veterans of many an El Classico can be the difference here in Texas.
    Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid
    55. Barca shows off some lovely passing as they charge their way down the field.
Unfortunately for Xavi and Co. it ultimately leads to nothing more than a goalkick.
The second half has seemed a little tense so far with both sides struggling to penetrate their opponents’ back lines.
    Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid
    50. Early chances for Barca as they try and find a way through a stout Real back line.
Meanwhile, it looks like Modric is warming up on the sideline.
    Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid

Real keep a hold of the ball early on as they continue their search for an equaliser.
    Halftime: Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid
    And breathe…
It’s been a captivating half of football here in Texas, with the two sides separated only by an early goal from Dembele, via a Gundogan free kick.
Tempers have flared on numerous occasions, most notably resulting in a De Jong yellow card as both teams clashed in the center of the park.
Both sides have already made changes, but this hasn’t done much to quell the fiery nature of this game so far.
Heading into the second half, keep an eye on who Ancelotti and Xavi look to bring on with the likes of Kroos, Modric, Fati, and Torres all still available as both sides fight for a win they clearly want – friendly or not.

Carvajal is subsequently booked as tempers continue to flare up between these two old rivals.
    DIVING SAVE!
Now down at the other end, Courtois is sent diving to save Dembele from scoring a second.
Shortly after De Jong is booked as it all begins to boil over in the middle of the park with players clashing around the center circle.
    REAL HIT THE WOODWORK!
Real Madrid hit the woodwork TWICE as they continue to pile on the pressure.
First a shot from Vinicius narrowly misses out before Bellingham tries his luck.
    Applause rolls around AT&T
The crowd applauds Araujo as he returns to his feet to continue.
This game remains on a knife-edge after 36 minutes with Barca leading 1-0.
    Yellow card Camavinga
A yellow card is handed to Camavinga after a foul on Araujo.
The Barca defender remains on the deck as trainers come over to tend to what appears to be a lower leg issue.
    SAVE!
After a foul on Vinicius, Real Madrid are handed a free kick just yards outside of the penalty box.
Rodrygo fires a dart towards the top corner but at full stretch, Ter Stegen manages to keep it out.
    Managers watch on closely
Both Xavi and Ancelotti are standing on the very edge of their boxes watching on as Real continue to press.
Half an hour gone and Barca continue to hold onto their 1-0 lead.

That’s all from the Sydney Football Stadium
England have almost confirmed their spot in the knockout stages with a 1-0 win over Denmark.
The Lionesses will now have to wait for this afternoon’s match between China and Haiti to conclude before they find out where they stand in Group D.
It wasn’t England’s best performance, but they showed glimpses of excellence during the first half before a devastating injury to Keira Walsh killed all momentum.
Nevertheless, the Lionesses are still undefeated in this year’s tournament and they are yet to concede a goal.
The race for the World Cup is still well and truly alive.
    Thanks for reading!
    Rachel Daly on Walsh’s injury
Speaking to BBC Sport, Day said: “It’s not nice to see anyone go off injured but Keira is Keira and she is an integral part of the team.
“I am really really hoping with everything that it isn’t anything too serious. She is a special player an special person.
“Let’s hope it isn’t as bad as it looked and it was only a precaution.”

It did look serious so if you can’t walk off the pitch it’s serious. I don’t know, we’ve just finished the game.Sarina WiegmanReacting to Walsh’s injury on BBC Sport
    Worry for Walsh
Keira Walsh was spotted on crutches and with her right knee in a brace during the second half.
England lost all momentum after the midfielder was forced off shortly before half time.
Walsh will now likely miss the rest of the tournament with what could potentially be an ACL injury.
Her absence will be a devastating blow for the Lionesses.
Walsh is irreplaceable in the England squad, so Wiegman may have to switch the structure of the team around to compensate for her absence.

    Sarina Wiegman reacts
Speaking to BBC Sport, the England manager said: “We started well, we played well and scored the goal and then we had a little stage in the first half [where] we lost balls we didn’t have to lose.
“Then we had the horrible moment with Keira. Second half was a fight and the team showed we adapted to the new situation and we had to fight to win. I am very proud of the team.”
On James’ goal, she added: “For me it doesn’t matter who scores the goals. They played well, they started well and yes, LJ scored a beautiful goal.”
    Lauren James reacts
Speaking to BBC Sport, the England winger said: “Yeah definitely [it was a great feeling to score]. It was a dream and something I’ve been thinking about but most importantly I’m happy to help us win.
“I kind of had a thought and then as soon as it hit the net it was just relief.”
“They [teammates] were just really happy for me and they said it before the game they had a good feeling about me. I am happy to have good people around me.”
“I am calm all around the pitch. I am happy to bring that on the pitch.”

Full Time – England 1-0 Denmark
Lauren James’ world-class early strike was overshadowed by the devastating injury to Keira Walsh.
Walsh has played more minutes for England than anyone else since Euro 2022, meaning she is one of the most important players in the heart of the team.
The Lionesses fell flat after the midfielder went off, and their intensity dropped significantly which allowed Denmark to get back into the game.

    A knock for Nathan Ake?
It looked as though there could be trouble for Manchester City after 20 minutes when Nathan Ake went down injured.
He ended up having to be substituted, perhaps as a precaution, and was replaced by Manuel Akanji.
We are yet to learn the extent of his injury, but hopefully he will be back and ready to play against Atletico next week.

    Up next…
Manchester City’s next opponents are Atletico Madrid in Seoul.
They have two wins from two in pre-season now, and will look to make it three from three when they face off against Joao Felix and co.
    New threads
I think we need to take a moment to appreciate Manchester City’s new third kit.
They wore it for the first time today, in their 2-1 win over Bayern Munich, and it looks absolutely stunning.
The nameset on the back is in a Japanese-style typeface too, and looks sensational.
Here are some stunning shots of the players rocking it…

    Man of the match
There were a number of good performers out there today, for both sides.
Jamal Musiala was excellent in the first half, and caused no end of problems for Manchester City.
As for the winners, Kyle Walker and Bernardo Silva were brilliant, but man of the match has to go to Rico Lewis.
The natural defender was playing in a midfield role today, and played absolutely sensationally.
He set up the first goal, and caused no end of problems going forward for the Bayern Munich defence.

    Manchester City 2-1 Bayern Munich
FT. The referee blows the whistle for full time, and the game ends 2-1 in favour of Manchester City on this occasion.
They are victorious, just as they were in the Champions League last season.
That makes it two wins from two in pre-season for the Cityzens, as they look to set themselves up for another stellar campaign.
    Manchester City 2-1 Bayern Munich
    90. A further two minutes of added time at the end of the second half here.
    Manchester City 2-1 Bayern Munich
    87. Laporte gives City the lead again!
A sly through pass from Maximo Perrone finds Phil Foden on the right hand side, he takes a shot that is saved well by Ulreich.
This time the rebound falls in favour of Aymeric Laporte, who finishes with aplomb.
    Manchester City 1-1 Bayern Munich
    84. What a save by Ulreich!
The ball comes in from a corner and Aymeric Laporte is the man who meets it with a header.
It is sent towards the top corner, but a beautiful diving save by Ulreich denies City re-taking the lead.
    Manchester City 1-1 Bayern Munich
    82. Bayern level the scoring through Mathys Tel!
The Germans get down the left side and the ball is crossed in, the first shot is blasted at Ederson, and the rebound falls at the feet of Mathys Tel who taps home.
The 18-year-old is one of the hottest prospects in European football, and is showing us all why.
    Manchester City 1-0 Bayern Munich
    79. City are keeping the ball in their own half here, and just making Bayern do all the hard work.
All of a sudden they break through a long ball over the top towards Haaland, and they remind Bayern of just how dangerous they can be.
    Manchester City 1-0 Bayern Munich
    77. City are controlling the game here.
Every player is getting on the ball, Cancelo, Perrone, Foden and Gomez are all involved in this move that eventually breaks down.
It would have been a hell of a goal if it came off.
    Manchester City 1-0 Bayern Munich
    74. There hasn’t been too much goalmouth action for me to describe for you in the second half so far.
Often in these pre-season friendlies we see this, where there are so many changes at half-time that the life is almost sucked out of the game.
Each and every one of those players has to adapt to the pace of the game as quickly as possible.
Superb defending by Leon Goretzka allows Bayern to escape the pressure of Oscar Bobb.
    Manchester City 1-0 Bayern Munich
    71. Fine footwork by Oscar Bobb again to find Bernardo Silva on the right hand side of the pitch again.
Every time those two combine, it looks as though there could be trouble for Bayern Munich.
Ending his fine performance with a ball into Joao Cancelo, Bernardo Silva is replaced by Maximo Perrone for Man City.
Ten substitutes are on the pitch for City now, and the only player left in from the start is Ederson.
    Manchester City 1-0 Bayern Munich
    69. Oscar Bobb pulls the trigger from the edge of the box just before the second water break of the day.
His shot is blazed over, but he is applauded by Bernardo Silva nonetheless, it looks like they have a great relationship.
    Manchester City 1-0 Bayern Munich
    67. Erling Haaland hasn’t really had a sniff in the game just yet, with only really a half-chance to his name.
Don’t be surprised to see him pop up on the score sheet before you know it.
Erling Haaland is set for another big season with Manchester CityCredit: Reuters
    Manchester City 1-0 Bayern Munich
    65. Bayern are struggling to get out of their own final third here, and Bernardo Silva is continuing to cause problems whenever he combines with Oscar Bobb on the right-hand-side.
    Manchester City 1-0 Bayern Munich
    62. Manchester City switch the ball to the left hand side with Joao Cancelo, and they are starting to look really comfortable in this second half.
It looks like they are going to have too much strength for Bayern Munich from here on out…
    Manchester City 1-0 Bayern Munich
    58. So close for Manchester City!
    How is it still 1-0?
Oscar Bobb does really well down the right hand side of the pitch to slot Bernardo Silva in.
He crosses the ball low and hard into the middle of the box and causes chaos in the box as Rodri’s touch is cleared off the line.
    Manchester City 1-0 Bayern Munich
    56. Brilliant work from Bernardo Silva who is battling down the right-hand-side with Sadio Mane.
Mane eventually does tackle him and wins a throw.
    Manchester City 1-0 Bayern Munich
    53. Really lovely intricate play by Erling Haaland and Oscar Bobb through the middle of the park.
Haaland can’t quite get the better of the Bayern Munich centre back to set himself for a shot.
    Manchester City 1-0 Bayern Munich
    51. Sadio Mane has caused Manchester City plenty of problems over the years, and is on the pitch for Bayern now, trying to get down the left hand side.
He tries to play a through ball, but it goes to no one.
    Manchester City 1-0 Bayern Munich
    49. Some big names are on the pitch for Manchester City now, including the likes of Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, Rodri, AYmeric Laporte and more.
Also on the pitch is Oscar Bobb, keep an eye on him.
    Manchester City 1-0 Bayern Munich
    46. Wholesale changes at the break for both sides! There are nine changes for Manchester City, and eleven for Bayern Munich.
    Half-time | Manchester City 1-0 Bayern Munich
You would actually say that Bayern Munich were probably the better side in the first half, but the scoreline doesn’t reflect that.
Jamal Musiala looked really dangerous, as did Leroy Sane, but the star of the first half was definitely Rico Lewis for Manchester City.
It was an end-to-end, action packed first half, and we will be bringing you the second half shortly!

    RAM ROD
Ramirez was cold and calculated until the perfect opening presented itself.
The moment he saw an opening he pounced and pummelled Shimizu to the floor with a range of power punches.
Shimizu climbed off the Koto-Ku canvas but his nose was leaking blood and Ramirez smelled it.
Another attack unravelled Shimizu and the ref saved him.
    RAMIREZ VS SHIMIZU R4
Ramirez is catching every punch Shimizu throws on his tight mint-green glove guard.
The little Cuban master is always fighting on the inside to nullify Shimizu’s height and reach.
Ramirez unloads with Shimizu pinned on the ropes and drives blows into his guard and body.
The gangly challenger survives the assault and lasts another session.
    RAMIREZ VS SHIMIZU R3
Ramirez dips and feints and grins when Shimizu falls for his trickery.
A right hook from the Cuban lands but Shimizu is tough than his lean body looks.
Southpaw Ramirez scythes in a couple of left hooks but Shimizu’s high guard catches them.
Ramirez scores with an uppercut and a right hook to end the stanza.
    RAMIREZ VS SHIMIZU R2
Three straight Ramirez shots pepper the Shimizu guard then the bent shocks drive the Japan Olympian backwards.
Shimizu’s jabs don’t have any malice and Ramirez wants him to throw to allow openings for him to exploit.
Shimizu accidentally lands a low blow and apologises with a touch of the gloves.
Ramirez ends the round with right hooks to head and body.
    RAMIREZ VS SHIMIZU R1
Shimizu is taller and longer but looks frail already.
Ramirez is tipped for greatness in the pro ranks so needs to look tasty here.
Ramirez whips in a right to the ribs and then tries an uppercut but they are testing the water more than splashing it.
Shimizu does not look like a power puncher, despite 10 KOs on his record.
    RAMIREZ VS SHIMIZU R1
Veteran Shimizu is up against it here, despite being the home fighter.
The Japan southpaw is 37 but has only had 11 pro wins and one loss.
Ramirez was rocked in his very first pro fight, suffering a shock loss.
But he is an amateur legend and now has the WBO featherweight world title around his narrow waist.
    DON’T DONAIRE MISS IT
The ruthless and brilliant Naoya Inoue performance in the rematch win over the icon Nonito Donaire was just replayed in Japan.
In less than two rounds Inoue slashed and smacked the the same man who had taken him 12 hard rounds three years earlier.
If there were any doubts around Inoue before then, they were viciously erased last June when he battered the brilliant Filipino Flash.
    CAST OF THOUSANDS
But Japan’s three-weight legend hit back with a solid defence and a crisp counter.
He said: “Japan has its own local rules. Even in the U.S. there are local rules in each state, and the wrapping methods are different.
“Our fight will be held in Japan on the 25th, so of course I will follow the Japanese rules.
“Don’t suck it up. Just fight.”
    NO GLOVE LOST
Fulton’s trainer Wahid Rahim claimed Inoue was cheating with his hand wrapping.
He said: “In previous fights, Inoue and his team have wrapped his hands with an excessive amount of tape, and then applied more tape to the gauze, which creates a cast.
“We can wrap our hands in the same fashion but then where is the level of safety for our fighters?”
    WRAP ROW
Stephen Fulton’s trainer accused Team Inoue of illegal hand wrapping in the build-up.
Right now Inoue is getting his sledgehammer hands wrapped with tape and gauze and a Team Fulton member is in the dressing room watching and filming the procedure.
There does not appear to be any issues with the way the THREE WEIGHT world champ is having his tools wrapped right now.
    CUBAN FLASH
Robeisy Ramirez defends his WBO feather crown against Shatoshi Shimizu next up.
The Cuba sensation is an Olympic legend with two gold medals.
But he lost his first pro fight with a split decision over just four rounds.
The recovery was rapid, though, and he won his first world title in his last bout against tough Isaac Dogboe.
    SAKAMA SLAMMER
Horikawa suffered a right straught and then a hook, he lost his gumshield and his footing.
The wise and caring referee dived in and only then did Sakama hit the deck out of exhaustion.
Horikawa stayed on the floor to recover but is now up and embracing Sakama.
Both boys impressed and Sakama moves on toward a light-fly world title crack.
    SAKAMA WINS R8 TKO
Sakama lands another meaty heat shot and Horikawa goes down but the ref rules it a slip.
Horikawa starts shipping blows and is chased around tghe ring.
Sakama lands too many shots as Horikawa tries to hold.
The ref jumps in and saves Horikawa with just 10 seconds left.
    SAKAMA VS HORIKAWA – R8
Horikawa is throwing it all at the final minutes and Sakama needs to hang on.
Sakama throws four straight shots that will impress the judges and then hits the body again.
Sakama lands a flush left hook to the face and then chases Horikawa around the ring hurling more.
    SAKAMA VS HORIKAWA – R8
The final round in a close and thrilling fight.
These brave and dangerous fellas are just 108lbs – not even 8st.
Horikawa is bleeding from his nose but leaps back into the action.
Horikawa makes a great start with a long right hand that rocks Sakama’s head back.
    SAKAMA VS HORIKAWA – R6
Excellent 108lbs action in the centre of the ring as these two Japanese fighters meet in the middle and thrash it out.
A well made 50-50 fight here with Sakama just starting to show his schooling and class.
Horikawa never stops slashing away and lands a left to the body.
This looks destined for the full eight rounds.
    SAKAMA VS HORIKAWA – R5
Horikawa gets a warning from the left over a low blow but Sakama isn’t hurt and the action resumes.
Superb left-hook-left-uppercut combo from Sakawa, elite stuff.
Sakama backs his prey into a corner and drives a right to his gut but Horikawa is a tough cookie.
    SAKAMA VS HORIKAWA – R4
Sakama lands a left hook to the body but Horikawa doesn’t even flinch.
The red-gloved KO artist aims a right to the ribs too and that scores with the judges.
A clever close-range right hook from Sakama lands but Horikawa always replies with a dig of his own.
    SAKAMA VS HORIKAWA – R3
Sakama starts to show his power and precision.
Horikawa is vulnerable when pinned on the ropes.
Sakama’s lead left hook to the head is a honey punch but he targets the body well too.
Sakama switches stance to southpaw just before the bell as he aims to cut the ring down.
    SAKAMA VS HORIKAWA – R2
Both of these Japanese light-flys are technically sound and tough.
Horikawa looks far better than his record suggests, maybe his two draws were harsh.
But a good stiff jab from Sakawa lands like a backhand and rocks his opponent’s head back again.
    SAKAMA VS HORIKAWA – R1
Lots of clever faints and footwork movements early on.
Stiff jabs from both pocket rockets.
Horikawa gets his head rocked back by a Sakama jab.
Sakama starts to target the body and lands with a right to the ribs.
    SAKAMA VS HORIKAWA – R1
Favourite backers will lump on undefeated 7-0 Sakama who is dangerous with 6 KOs.
Underdog Horikawa is 3-1-2 and will do well to hear the final bell.
Sakama lands a loud right hand to start but Horikawa jabs back sharply.
    MONSTER MORNING
A monster morning of boxing on the breakfast menu.
How man Cool Boys will be sneaking out of work to watch the match up.
Naoya ‘The Monster’ Inoue vs Stephen ‘Cool Boy’ Fulton is the mouthwatering main event.
But first we have a handful of undercard crackers coming live from Japan.
    Let’s eat.
    SAKAMA VS HORIKAWA – R7
Peach of a long uppercut from Sakama but Horikawa was on a roll seconds before.
Horikawa seems to be upping the ante in the final two rounds, knowing he needs something special.
Sakama’s defence is impressive but Horikawa breaches it with a right hand to the cheek.
Sakama lands another right hand to the face but Horikawa is a live dog in this fight and eats the abuse before firing back.
    RAMIREZ WINS TKO R5
A vicious and precise attack drops Shimizu.
The brave challenger beats the count but is bleeding from the nose and struggling.
Another volley is thrown and the ref dives in to save the battered Japan man.
    Classy from Ramirez.

Ocon has broken his silence after heading to the medical centre following his early retirement from the race.
Taking to Twitter, the 2021 race winner said: “Unlucky. Frustrating. Big impact on the crash but glad we are both ok.
“We regroup and come back next week.”
The Alpine driver was forced to retire after his seat cracked IN TWO as a result of the impact of the crash with Zhou.

    Ricciardo solid on return
Ricciardo went largely under the radar in Hungary but claimed a P13 finish on his return.
It also saw him beat team-mate Tsunoda by two spots.
    Verstappen trophy falls into pieces
Verstappen may have won the race but it seems he will need a replacement trophy after his broke into pieces.
Fan footage appeared to show Norris smashing his champagne bottle onto the top step of the podium, causing Verstappen’s trophy to fall off and smash into multiple pieces.

    Verstappen on his race
Yeah, we had finally a really good start. Very happy with that we’ve been working on it a bit. then I knew of course when I had the inside that corner was mine [vs Hamilton]. It was just late on the brakes, heavy car, luckily it all worked out well and basically from there I could do my race and today the car was really, really quick.
I think over one lap this weekend it was a bit of a struggle but maybe it was probably a good thing for today. We could look after the tyre wear and that’s why we could create such a gap.
For the team, 12 wins in a row is just incredible. Hopefully we can keep this momentum going for a long time. It’s always good to look into yesterday for example to keep pushing and always wanting to do better.Max VerstappenFormula One

    Sargeant late spin

But it won’t impact the race a whole lot.
Hamilton cuts lead by over half second
    Lap 68/70

Meanwhile, Russell is within the five-second penalty time of Leclerc to effectively give him P6.

The gap now stands at 3.2 seconds. Could we be on for the another Verstappen-Norris-Hamilton podium?
    Russell into P7

He may yet gain a P6 by the end of the race.

It’s been a routine race for Verstappen, while Perez is on course to make a Red Bull 1-2 unless Norris can miraculously hold him off.

    Norris agitated on radio
