      SPAIN have beaten Sweden to book their place at the Women’s World Cup final in Sydney.It was a dramatic last ten minutes in New Zealand with La Roja scoring late on to snatch the win.
      Sweden equalised late on and the tie looked to be heading for extra time before Olga Carmona netted to put Spain in the final.

      A heartbreaking end to the match for Sweden.
      The Yellow and Blues thought they got themselves back into the game following Blomqvist’s 88th-minute goal.
      But just a matter of seconds later, Carmona delivered an almighty blow with an excellent strike.
      The Spaniards leave the pitch in tears of joy, while Peter Gerhardsson and his players are left in disbelief.

      Joshua has managed to bloody the nose of Helenius with a series of jabs.
      Whenever he gets a good punch through it really leaves Helenius looking stunned.
      You have to wonder why he is not following up these punches with combos to send him to the canvas.
      It is like somebody has told Joshua that Wilder lent Helenius his punching ability and he is fearing getting caught with one.

      Robert Helenius seems willing to have a go more when Anthony Joshua comes inside now, throwing uppercuts.
      Fortunately for Joshua they are airshots.
      Joshua lands a right hook which rocks Helenius but Joshua seems to hold back, not wanting to go in for the kill.
      With this style of attack, he would make a terrible vet, loads of terminally ill animals knocking around the joint on their last legs.

      Anthony Joshua has to prove something to the boxing fraternity here.
      While there is pacing yourself and going the distance, he really should be on the offensive against an opponent like this.
      Helenius is happy to dance around and land the occasional jab.
      He wasn’t planning on this fight, he thought he was going on holiday to Lapland with his family this week.
      Joshua lands a heavy jab to the face which sends Helenius back onto the ropes but he doesn’t follow it up.
      He obviously has never played Mortal Kombat………finish him!!!!

      Slow start by Joshua and you feel the more rounds this goes, the more confident Helenius will get.
      He has taken this fight at 7 days notice compared to the training camp his opponent has been in.
      Joshua comes inside and goes with a big hook that grazes the beard of Helenius.
      The Nordic boxer continues with his jabs which do land through the guard of Joshua but he absorbs them.

      As Anthony Joshua goes through his final warm up routines, we are readying ourselves for the big fight.
      He has had to alter his preparations with his opponent changing so late in the day.
      It is vital that he wins this fight tonight to leave the path for him to fight Deontay Wilder around December/January time.
      Derek Chisora wins by unanimous decision

      We make it to the final round, with two weary fighters.
      Washington’s corner told him there is still a fight here to be won and to take advantage of how slow Chisora is.
      Chisora lands a good jab that rocks his opponent slightly.
      He looks to work the body as he comes inside.
      Derek Chisora is looking very tired heading into the final minute, looking to hold Washington more.

      Neither boxer seems to have anything in the tank now to finish this fight with a knockout.
      Both fighters are looking like they are feeling the pace, Chisora still throwing haymakers hoping one will win this fight.
      They just seem so wild, like they are thrown with his eyes closed.
      Washington is finding it all too easy to stay out of the way of them while continuing to work him with his jab.
      This one looks destined to go to the scorecards now.

      Chisora is still trying to get behind that jab of his.
      Washington is looking out for it and trying to dodge it.
      The wild over the top punches from Chisora have not been landing all night and all too often take him off balance.
      Another even round, tricky to pick a boxer who took that round.

      As the fight goes on now, Chisora seems to be improving.
      Rather than just going in like a bar brawl he is boxing in a more considered fashion.
      It is working to his advantage as he is making Washington think more.
      Looking out for Chisora’s right hand than worrying about landing his own.
      Washington finishes the round strong as he lands a right and follows it up with a series of punches as the first one put Chisora on the back foot.

      Occasionally when Chisora walks in, Washington manages to lands uppercuts but he is able to absorb them.
      Credit where it is due, Chisora can take a barrage of punches.
      This is a much better round by Chisora as he following up his fabs with big hits over the top.
      He is making it more difficult for Washington to land punches on him.

      Derek Chisora seems more comfortable throwing body shots due to the height difference between the two fighters.
      He has to punch upwards to land any head shots.
      When he does get one through you can see Washington feels the hard hits of Chisora.
      An even round both fighters getting some good combos in.
      Derek Chisora vs Gerald Washington (Round 4)
      As the taller man, Washington is able to work his reach more.
      At times, Chisora cannot get inside him to land punches.
      Washington lands a good two punch combo which rattles Chisora.
      His legs seem tired, Chisora needs to reset.
      Chisora is throwing more air-shots, Washington is picking his punches and landing more.

      It seems the cut was from a coming together of heads.
      The referee has decided if that cut causes the fight to be stopped it will go to the scorecards.
      Both fighters are willing to land scoring punches when they can.
      Chisora is on the front foot more, seeming to burn more energy.
      Washington is the older boxer at 41 years old, but seems to be playing the long game more.

      Washington lands a good right and cuts the eye of Chisora.
      There is blood streaming from it as the Brit tries to change styles.
      He is still coming forward, he does not seem bothered by the cut.
      Washington is looking lighter on his feet and sends Chisora to the canvas right on the bell but the referee signals no knockout.

      Washington doesn’t appear to have a high guard.
      That leaves him open to Chisora’s punch.
      Whenever Chisora comes forward to throw one, Washington steps back away from it.

      Harry Kane must have thought he was certain to finally get his hands on a trophy for the first time.
      Hilariously, it would have come just over 12 hours after his departure from Spurs.
      Yet on the night when he made his debut for Bayern Munich as a 64th-minute substitute, the Bundesliga champions were on the wrong end of a 3-0 thumping by Leipzig in the German-DFL Supercup.
      With tongue firmly in cheek, maybe it was fitting that for his fourth loss in a final, Kane was wearing Bayern’s third strip which for this season is white, a colour he knows well.
      But seriously, we should remember that the Germans take their Super Cup as seriously as we do with the Community Shield.
      So this loss against the German Cup champion will not worry the £104million signing as he looks to help Bayern win a 12 successive Bundesliga title and a seventh Champions League.
      Although looking at this current Bayern team, even plenty of goals from Kane may not be enough to help them cause major damage in Europe this season.
      Nevertheless, to get a decent run-out at a packed Allianz Arena, was still the end of head-spinning 36 hours the England captain will never forget.

      Harry Kane’s trophyless streak has been extended on his Bayern Munich debut.
      Kane came on as a second-half substitute in the German Super Cup against RB Leipzig at the Allianz Arena.
      The star striker made his Bayern bow just a few hours after signing his contract.
      However, Leipzig picked up a comfortable 3-0 win thanks to a hat-trick by Dani Olmo.

      Kane struggled to get into the game against a superior RB Leipzig side.
      However, that made sense as the striker played for Bayern only after one trainign session.

      RB Leipzig have ruined Harry Kane’s Bayern Munich debut at the Allianz Arena.
      German Cup winners Leipzig won the Super Cup after beating Bundesliga champions Bayern.
      Marco Rose’ side prevailed with a score of 3-0 thanks to Dani Olmo’s hat-trick.

      Toothless from the start, this was far from the start of the season the Bavarians wanted.
      Dani Olmo set the game ablaze with his early strike, before doubling the lead just before half-time.
      He then rounded out the scoring with a well taken second half penalty.
      Kane came on with 30minutes to go but failed to get into the game, having just three touches of the ball.
      His trophyless career continues but their is a long season ahead.

      Bukayo Saka started the season where he left off the last – by being the standout performer on the pitch.
      The Arsenal star had the joint-most shots, the joint-most touches in the opposition penalty area and provided the most crosses of any player on the pitch.

      Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta held up Eddie Nketiah as a ‘great example’ following his exploits against Nottingham Forest, and suggested that there is more to come from his striker while Gabriel Jesus is out injured.

      Eddie Nketiah stepped in for the injured Gabriel Jesus this afternoon, and fired Arsenal on their way with their opening goal of the season.
      The 24-year-old has now has scored 14 goals in his last 16 starts at the Emirates Stadium in all competitions, and became the first English player to score the Gunners’ first Premier League goal of a season since Theo Walcott in 2016-17.
      Despite his attacking exploits, Nketiah afterwards praised his team’s defence for seeing the game out.

      Now, Sarina Wiegman’s side will face Australia in next week’s match, which is set to take place on Wednesday at 11am BST.

      “We’re all so excited. As a group we thrived off the amount of Colombian fans.
      “It just makes it so much more exciting so for me I can’t wait to get going against Australia. It’s going to be a packed out stadium with so many Australian fans but we know if we play at our best, we are unstoppable so hopefully we’ll be able to bring that.”

      “The aim was to play our game, we have two strong right-sided players in Lucy [Bronze] and Jess [Carter] who did well against [Linda] Caicedo, and we controlled large parts of the game tonight.
      “We were warming up as they were taking the shoot out in Brisbane so we were focused on this game.”

      Who will England face in the semi-finals?
      The Lionesses are set to face Women’s World Cup co-hosts Australia in the semi-finals of the tournament.
      Australia earned their place in the final four with a 7-6 win on penalties against France following a 0-0 draw.
      The two teams will now meet in the second semi-final next Wednesday at 11am BST.

      “A very tough challenge but we didn’t expect anything else. We showed resilience, in the first half we played very good. In moments we were sloppy on the ball and they were really dangerous on the counter.
      “We conceded but we came back. I actually thought their keeper had the ball for our goal.
      “Second half we pushed, we found a way to keep that score and win the final duals. I just hoped we would have finished the game off sooner because we could have.
      “We know they are dangerous but again I am so proud of the team, we find a way to score to win the duels. If we had kept the ball a bit better, we could have won it a little earlier.”

      Speaking to ITV, the England star said: “What an amazing feeling. I’m knackered, most of the team are but we put in a great performance.
      “You saw the resilience of the team. We controlled most of the game. They had a few counters and we knew what they would bring. The team were really special today.
      “We’ve changed formation a bit in recent games. As a group we’re really adaptable. This squad is special and we have so many characters.
      “I feel really free when I’m on the pitch. I love playing wing, don’t get me wrong, but I can go down the left or the right.
      “The first goal was scrappy, I didn’t expect the ball to come out to me. The link up with Alessia [Russo] is so strong and when she can finish like that.
      “We are all feeling really confident, Australia, bring it on. I’m absolutely over the moon, I can’t wait.
      “The atmosphere here was incredible, it’s going to be incredible again. That’s when you thrive, I feel like we will thrive once again.”

      “We have had to dig deep from the first game. Colombia have so many players who can cause you so much trouble but the backline was impressive for us.

      It was far from easy, but England dug deep during that second half and clinched the result in superb fashion.
      Alessia Russo and Lauren Hemp were excellent throughout and both thoroughly deserved to get on the scoresheet.
      The defensive trio of Millie Bright, Lauren Hemp and Jess Carter also put on a resilient display to keep Colombia at bay throughout the second half.
