How Man Utd star Cristiano Ronaldo’s partner Georgina Rodriguez went from £250-a-week shop girl to Insta & Netflix star

SHE’S one of the most famous Wags on the planet – but Cristiano Ronaldo’s partner Georgina Rodriguez hasn’t always lived a life of riches and luxury. The 28-year-old Spanish model lived in a cramped, shared house and worked as a £250-a-week shop girl before a chance encounter with football legend Ronaldo transformed her life.

Now she is enjoying life on our shores, and on the big screen wit her hit Netflix documentary, after the five-time Ballon d’Or winner agreed to rejoin Manchester United in a blockbuster move.
In a candid interview with ITV in 2019, Ronaldo, now 37, described finding “true love” with Georgina after the pair met for the first time at a Gucci store, where she was a sales assistant.
The Juventus star told Piers Morgan: “She helped me so much. Of course, I’m in love with her.”
Ronaldo, thought to be worth around £300million, added that it would be his mum Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro’s dream to see him and Georgina walk down the aisle.
“We’ll be [married] one day, for sure,” he said.
“It’s my mum’s dream as well. So, one day. Why not? It’s great. She’s my friend. We have conversations. I open the heart for her and she opens the heart for me.”

    Luxury holidays with four kids
Georgina now raises Ronaldo’s four children –  their three-year-old daughter Alana Martina, surrogate twins Eva and Mateo, four, and 11-year-old Cristiano Jr – in Turin, Italy.
And soon there will be two more after the couple announced they are expecting twins in April.
She lives a life most of us can only dream of – holidaying in Ibiza and Iceland, wearing head-to-foot Chanel and Gucci, and enjoying her boyfriend’s mega yacht and fleet of luxury cars.
She has also stood by Ronaldo after he was accused of raping a model in a Las Vegas hotel room – claims he has emphatically denied and which he will not face any criminal charges over.
But while Georgina could soon become Mrs Ronaldo, the Wag’s life used to be very different…

    Grafting for goals
The beauty hails from a very humble background, growing up in the tiny village of Jaca, northern Spain, with her Argentine former footballer father, Jorge, and Spanish mother, Ana.
As a child, she longed to be a ballet dancer. But because her parents couldn’t afford to send her to dance school, Georgina set her sights on a career in fashion retail instead.
It was clear from a young age that she was ambitious and like Ronaldo – who grew up in a tin-roofed house in Madeira – she did everything in her power to chase her dreams.

Living in a cramped house share
As soon as she was old enough, Georgina moved to Huesca, a small town an hour away, where she got her first job as a waitress.
However, she soon got bored of the town, and became fed up of living in a tiny home with several other young people.
Tired of her impoverished lifestyle,  Georgina moved again – this time three hours away to the seaside town of San Sebastian, where she got a job in mid-range shop, Massimo Dutti.
But despite earning more money, the draw of living the high life saw her make her next big move.
“I wanted to work in luxury and I understood that for that I had to speak English,” Georgina told XLSemanal.

    Nanny in Bristol
In 2012, aged just 17, Georgina flew to England and got a job as an au pair for a family in Bristol.
Here, she focused on learning English, earning around £9.50 an hour.
Once her language skills were up to scratch, she headed back to Spain to pursue her dreams of working in high-end retail in Madrid.

    “Love at first sight”
Georgina finally got her dream job as a saleswoman at Gucci in 2016 – and it was while she was working here that she caught former Real Madrid star Ronaldo’s eye.
Days later, the pair met again at another brand’s event, where they were able to “talk in a relaxed atmosphere”, outside of a work environment.
“It was love at first sight for both,” Georgina previously told the Sun on Sunday.

    Hounded by fans
The couple kept their relationship under wraps for the first few months, but once people found out they were dating, football fans started turning up at Georgina’s shop.
Bosses feared the fans, who were trying to take pictures, would put off their rich clientele, and Georgina was dismissed from her dream job in December 2016 after just eight months.
Ronaldo’s contacts got her another job in Prada in El Corte Ingles, the famous Spanish department store, where she earned about £1,000 a month plus commission.

But once again, her relationship cost her a job. Customers kept coming into the shop in the hope of spotting Ronaldo – and begged Georgina for selfies.
It wasn’t long before management and Georgina mutually agreed it was best if she left and stopped working for good.
Speaking about her experience, she told Spanish outlet, XLSemanal: “I was hiding, but fans were looking for me at the store. They used to call up and ask about me, pretending to be clients.
“There were always photographers waiting for me. The director told me to go down to the basement because he did not want to see me in the store. I started to be very uncomfortable and then I left.”

    Proud parents
In November 2017, Georgina gave birth to their first daughter, Alana Martina – and revealed that the football star had spoiled her rotten.
She told Hola!: “When we got home from hospital, he’d organised a surprise dinner, with all our nearest and dearest. I felt like the luckiest woman in the world.”
Little Alana Martina joined Ronaldo’s adorable clan – with twins Eva and Mateo having been previously carried by a surrogate mother and Cristiano Jn being born to a mystery mother.

“I have always been mature and for me to have four children is not a burden,” she said.
“I wear it very well and, in fact, I no longer imagine my life without my children. It has definitely brought us closer. We’re happier together than ever. The children are our joy.”
Ronaldo has famously talked about wanting seven children.
However, Georgina has different ideas. When previously asked where she saw herself in 10 years, she said: “I do not see myself with more children.”

From selling Gucci to wearing it
While Georgina used to sell designer clothes to the rich and famous, she’s now wearing them herself – from £1,400 Balmain jackets and £5,000 Chanel handbags to a priceless vintage fur coat.
They were living in a gated mansion in Turin – similar to the £5 million mansion she and Ronaldo used to share in Madrid (but a far cry from the flat she once lived in with pals).
Now, they will mostly likely be house-hunting in Cheshire’s Golden Triangle for an abode fit for a king and queen.
Of course, Georgina is used to travelling in style too – jetting off in an £18 million private plane, sailing on a luxury yacht and driving sports cars like Ronaldo’s flashy Bugatti Veyron.
Since she began dating Ronaldo, Georgina has become a star in her own right, gracing the cover of various fashion magazinez while amassing 27 million Instagram followers.

    A lavish wedding
If Ronaldo does fulfil his dream to wed Georgina “one day”, it will likely be a very grand affair.
Wedding expert and founder of Wedding Ideas Magazine Rachel Southwood told Sun Online: “She’ll probably wear a fit and flare dress that hugs her curves and kicks out at the bottom.
“It will be slinky and sexy but demure all at the same time – probably in lace, but possibly with some extra bling.

“I think she will wear a long lace, scallop-edged veil. Something by a designer like Riki Dalal although I suspect it will be completely bespoke, from the head designer at one of the design houses she has worked with.
“Their wedding will be lavish and include a church service and a huge feast. It will be family-focused with a few big names thrown in for good measure.”
Rodriguez sparked engagement rumours last year when she showed off a huge ring in an Instagram post.
They have so far remain tight-lipped over plans but are expected to tie the knot in the near future.

    Running Ronaldo’s empire
But Georgina is very keen not to be perceived as a typical WAG.
She has previously said she has no interest in just shopping and spending Ronaldo’s money – in fact she might take a more active role in managing his vast fortune.

While most women spend their pregnancies decorating the nursery, Georgina spent hers studying financial accounting at the Centre for Financial Studies in Madrid.
Her course, which started in October 2017 and finished the following March, cost her £780 and saw her attend three-hour long classes twice a week.
According to El Mundo, it included modules on tax matters, legal obligations and wealth management.
“I loved earning money for myself and I never let myself be helped when someone offered to lend me a hand,” Georgina previously said.
“I am realistic and if I see that I can buy something not too expensive I do. If I can’t wear a Chanel, I buy a Zara. Why brag about something that does not belong to you?”
Ronaldo and his family were living in Turin, northern Italy before returning to Manchester United
Tens of millions in a divorce
When Georgina and Ronaldo eventually tie the knot, it’s unlikely the model will ever have to return to her shop girl job – even if they divorce.
Experts say all her financial worries would be taken care of in a pre-nup.
Head of Family Law in leading Manchester firm, JMW, Elspeth Kinder told Sun Online: “A prenup would make sure it provides fairly for Georgina’s needs and that of their child in the event of a divorce. It would be tens of millions – but it won’t be a half share of everything he’s got- that’s the point of the pre-nup.
“The Spanish jurisdiction in divorce is very different to here and tends to be less favourable to somebody like Georgina who comes to a marriage with less money than the other.”
Yet there’s no sign of trouble on the horizon for Ronaldo and Georgina.
“Being the partner of someone so famous is not easy but I wouldn’t change it for the world,” Georgina said. “What I feel for him is stronger than anything, any kind of pressure.”

“I hope lives will be positively changes, the aims and goals of the orphanage fully met and the children who are the leaders of tomorrow preserved.”

Inside Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke’s luxury £20m Malibu beach home that was set to be Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed’s pad

WITH a net worth of around £8.2billion, Stan Kroenke is literally laughing all the way to the bank. The Arsenal and Los Angeles Rams owner collects properties like he’s playing a game of Monopoly, once splashing £500million on a ranch in Texas that’s so big it could fit New York and Los Angeles inside it.

‘Silent Stan’ also owns properties in Colorado and Montana, as well as an £11m penthouse inside the five-star Montage hotel in Beverly Hills.
But his most high-profile purchase came in 1998, when the 74-year-old splashed around £8m on this incredible home in Malibu.
The beach side property was originally owned by Dodi Fayed, and was set to be home for the movie producer and Princess Diana before their tragic deaths in a car accident.
    WHAT £20M GETS YOU
Found on the Pacific Coast Highway, the property sits above the beautiful Paradise Cove.
While the vast five-acre piece of land it sits on stretches from the road all the way through to the sand and sea.
The home, also previously owned by Julie Andrews, includes a contemporary mansion, as well as a Mediterranean-style residence which acts as a guest home.
The main house features five bedrooms, six bathrooms, has a stunning swimming pool and boasts a tennis court.
There are three reception rooms, while the kitchen opens into a pool deck, and the living room has a limestone fireplace and pine beams.
An incredible glass domed dining room with views on all sides can also be found on the ground floor.

High-profile neighbours include Friends actress Courteney Cox, U2 guitarist The Edge, former supermodel Cindy Crawford and pop star Lady Gaga.FIT FOR A PRINCESS
Before Kroenke bought the compound, Princess Diana had her heart set on living there.
Dodi, the son of the former Harrods owner Mohamed Al-Fayed, bought the home for around £7m – just months before he and Lady Di were tragically killed in Paris.
And Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell revealed that it was set to be the pair’s secluded pad.

Footballers who were ball boys, from Man City star Phil Foden to Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi

EVERY kid dreams of watching a game close to the action and being just yards away from their heroes. So these lads must’ve been delighted to have been ball boys for their local clubs and witnessed the pro’s skills in close quarters.

But, going one better is actually being the star on the pitch – which these former ball boys achieved.
Here are the ball boys who became footballers.
    PHIL FODEN
As Stevan Jovetic celebrates scoring for Manchester City against Swansea, a boy in the background looks on.
And it’s fair to say he hasn’t changed one bit!
It is, of course, Phil Foden – who shared the image on social media next to a photo of him scoring against Liverpool.
He captioned the snap: “How it started… how it’s going.”

    CALLUM HUDSON-ODOI
Every now and again a ball boy becomes a star of the show.
And that’s exactly what happened to a 13-year-old Callum Hudson-Odoi when Samuel Eto’o scored the third goal of his hat-trick against Manchester United in 2014.
The Cameroon star celebrated his strike with a smiling Hudson-Odoi as they held each other’s hands.

    WESLEY SNEIJDER
The mercurial Dutch playmaker joined Ajax as a youth in 1991 – four years before they won the Champions League.
It was a team that boasted the best players of their generation, including the likes of Clarence Seedorf, Marc Overmars, Edgar Davids and Patrick Kluivert.
The old head keeping the youngsters on the right path was the experienced Frank Rijkaard, who Sneijder grabbed a snap with when he was on ball boy duty.

    CARLOS TEVEZ
Tevez is instantly recognisable as a young lad in this brilliant photo with Boca Junior legends Juan Roman Riquelme.
He came through the ranks of the Argentinian club before making his debut aged just 16.
Carlos would return to La Bombonera in his elderly years and become a cult hero, just like Riquelme and the club’s greatest icon Diego Maradona.

    BERNARDO SILVA
Before he became a Manchester City star, Portuguese international Bernardo Silva had Benfica in his blood.
He was a graduate from their famed academy, where the likes of Ederson and Renato Sanches played at around the same time.
And before that, in 2008, he was reportedly a ball boy in a Europa League tie against Napoli.

    DONNY VAN DE BEEK
At Ajax, being a ball boy is all part of the graduation progress and designed to teach you responsibilty.
You also get to meet your heroes, as a keen Donny van de Beek was happy to share on social media in this throwback snap.
And Luiz Suarez was happy to oblige for the quick photo with the aspiring youngster.

    MATTHIJS DE LIGT
Like van de Beek, de Ligt rose through the ranks at Ajax to become a superstar at Juventus.
And he also got his obligatory snap with Luis Suarez before a game for the Dutch giants.
The pair could even face off against each other in this season’s Champions League.

    BRAHIM DIAZ
The Real Madrid forward was a ball boy at Malaga in 2012, where he can be seen in the background watching Santi Cazorla and Isco celebrating a goal.

Terry and wife Toni’s former six-bed family home in Oxshott went back on the market for £5.5m, however he was forced to slash the price because of coronavirus.
Dad-of-two Terry reportedly bought the property for £2.2m in 2003 and sold it for £5m in 2013.
Keen golfer Terry installed a small Astro turf putting green in the one acre of sprawling gardens.

Situated on a private road on the prestigious Crown Estate, the home boasts one of Surrey’s most exclusive addresses.
The property was renovated by interior designer Louise Bradley, and has four huge bedrooms in the main house, with two additional rooms and a shower in the guest wing above the triple garage.

Features: Fishing lake, swimming pool and sauna
    Profit: £10m

Clearly a fan of the location, Terry bought his second mansion a stone’s throw from his former home for £1.8m in 2007, and spent £4m renovating the nine-bed property.
The white house dwarfed Terry’s neighbouring pile, and when building work began in 2011, it was believed to involve putting in a 33 x 40ft indoor pool, a steam room, sauna and a fishing lake.
The house was perfect for the footballer as it was only visible to the public from the air and boasted a separate wing for staff, and a visitor annexe in the opposite building.
He had planned to move his family into the property but when the Sultan of Oman made him “an offer he couldn’t refuse” in 2014, he sold it.
According to reports, Terry made at least £10m profit on the £16m sale.Colin Montgomerie’s £5m mansion
Features: half-acre of land, seven beds and staff accommodation
    Worth: £5m
John Terry and wife Toni have made some very clever property moves
In 2014 Terry bought the £4.35m former mansion owned by golfer Colin Montgomerie, downsizing from his ‘dream home’.
It was here that in 2017 the star was left shaken after robbers broke into the home, stealing £4m of loot.
The property is just down the road from Terry’s previous two properties and boasts a two-bed staff annex.
While smaller than his last place, the seven-bed property is still situated on a half-acre of land, and features six bathrooms and four reception rooms.
He reportedly spent £150k replacing the lawn with Astro turf, and the property’s value is thought to have risen to £5m.
Based on his track record of snapping up houses in the area, Terry’s neighbours will be keeping a very beady eye on his next move – waiting for the bulldozers to move in. More

And it would’ve been a bitter pill for the 55-year-old to swallow, looking at this mega mansion.
Boasting 52 rooms, including 21 bedrooms, as well as its own nightclub the property is as lavish as Tyson has ever owned.
But it was needs must for the heavyweight boxing legend and in came rapper 50 Cent who bought it from him for £3.3m the same year it was revealed he blew his fortune.
    PROPERTY DEETS
When the In Da Club singer bought the house from Tyson, it set a record for the most expensive home ever sold in the area of Farmington – and it’s easy to see why.
Along with those 21 bedrooms we mentioned earlier, the 50,000-square-foot abode has a 25 bathrooms, an indoor pool and hot tub, an indoor court, multiple game rooms, a green-screen room, and a recording studio.
And the opulence doesn’t end there.
Entering the property through a stately front gate, you’re greeted by a lion statue.
Walking into the home on the marble floor, a duelling wood-panelled staircase leads you to another level of the property.
As can be seen, the decor is as lavish as it gets throughout the property.

    THAT’S ENTERTAINMENT
The home is fit for someone who loves having friends round.
There are outdoor and indoor basketball courts that complete the recreational feel to the property.
There’s a room with pool tables, and another games room with poker and roulette tables – meaning you’ll never have to go to Las Vegas again.
Next to the outdoor basketball court is a pond that has an elaborate water feature spouting out and a guesthouse.

    TOO EXPENSIVE
Over the years, the property has dropped in value rapidly – mostly because of its running costs that 50 Cent complained cost him around £50,000 per month.
In fact, it was on the market for 12 years – starting at £14m before it was finally sold in 2019 for just £2.3m – an 84 per cent price drop.
“It’s just oversized for the market,” estate agent Jonathan Miller told Realtor.com.
“When you have a property that is well outside the norm, it takes a lot longer to sell.”
In the end, it was reportedly snapped up by US businessman Casey Askar, who owns several fast-food businesses.
Another of Mike Tyson’s amazing homes, complete with cages for his tigers, was left abandoned before it was converted into a church.

F1 legend Lewis Hamilton has an incredible £13m car collection, including £4m Shelby and £1.6m Pagani Zonda 760 LH

TO be Lewis Hamilton for a day.The F1 ace has amassed a £300million fortune that allows him to indulge in the best boys’ toys around.

Hamilton’s wealth means he can afford life’s greatest luxuries and has a £13m car collectionCredit: Instagram @LewisHamilton
And boy does the racing legend know how to spend it – splashing his cash on the best cars that could earn him the title of ultimate celebrity petrol head.
The eco-warrior is level with Michael Schumacher on seven world titles and missed out on a record-breaking eighth in the heartbreaking Abu Dhabi 2021 finale.
But away from the track, Hamilton, 37, has an equally impressive fleet of cars worth around – wait for it – £13MILLION.
Of course, being a driver, he’s a car fanatic and collects everything from supercars to vintage classics that he divides between two garages – one in Monaco and another in LA.
He said previously: “I don’t know anything about wine. I don’t know a huge amount about art. But what I do know is cars, and I’m very particular about them.”
Amusingly, so they keep their value, when Hamilton doesn’t want to drive them back home – he reportedly has a tow-truck that comes to pick them up from whatever restaurant or club he’s at. Here we take a look at just some of his extravagant collection:

    PAGANI ZONDA 760 LH
The rarest motor in Hamilton’s possession is a £1.6m Pagani Zonda that was made entirely for him.
The exterior and interiors are purple, and at the request of the sports star he opted for a manual gearbox instead of the usual sequential one.
His reasons? Because he hated getting behind the wheel of it initially.
He once said: “The Zonda is terrible to drive!
    “It’s the best-sounding car I own, but handling-wise it’s the worst.”
That could be why in 2015 Hamilton got in an accident that caused some significant damage to the cherished motor.

    1966 SHELBY 427 COBRA
The highest valued car in Hamilton’s collection is this stunning classic.
Believed to be worth around £4m, it’s a rare sight – unless you’ve seen the racer cruising along the Pacific Coast Highway in LA.
Hamilton was often spied taking his ex-missus Nicole Scherzinger for a spin in this beauty, which would have him standing out from the crowd.

    LAFERRARI
Every car aficionado worth their weight in salt owns this £1m Ferrari – another collector’s item that rises in value as the years go by.
Capable of reaching a top speed of 217 mph, the LaFerrari can hit 0-62 mph in just 2.4 seconds, meaning it’s the fastest car Hamilton owns.
Footballers including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Son Heung-min also drive this frighteningly fast motor that must be just like handling a racing car.

    MERCEDES-AMG PROJECT ONE
Lewis got his hands on a Project One last year, even though it is even supposed to be out until later in 2022.
He was heavily involved in the production of the plug-in hybrid sports car that’s capable of hitting a top speed of 217 mph.
Only 275 are going to be released at a cost of around £2m.
Make that 274 now, since Hamilton has one.

    MERCEDES-AMG SLS BLACK
He already owned a SL Black Series, so why not add the SLS, right?
Hamilton, who clearly has a need for speed, added this supercar to his garage probably because it’s the fastest Mercedes in production.
Powered by a 6.2-litre V8 engine that produces 622bhp – the SLS can reach a top speed of 196 mph.
It also hits 0-60 in just 3 seconds – making it the ideal car for Hamilton to get his thrills off the track with. For a price tag of £230k, it’s just what you’d expect really.

    MCLAREN P1
Despite splitting with McLaren’s racing team, Hamilton can’t have felt too aggrieved with his former employers because in 2015 he added a £2m P1 to his extensive list of rides.
The P1 has a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine, which is twinned with an electric motor that means the supercar has a total power and torque output of 903 bhp and 980 Nm of torque.
In real talk that means it’s fast and powerful, can hit a top of 217 mph and 0-60 mph in under 2.7 seconds.

    1967 FORD MUSTANG SHELBY GT500
The second classic car that’s part of his fleet, fans of the Hollywood movie Gone In 60 Seconds might recognise this motor as looking to similar to one of the Eleanor models from the film.
Hamilton had his customised by Oklahoma shop Classic Recreations for additional cost.
At auctions, these can fetch up to £750k, and you can bet Hamilton’s is in tip-top condition. That said, we doubt he’ll ever sell it.
    BEST OF THE REST
When the Mercedes-Maybach 6 came out in 2016, Hamilton made sure he got his hands on the concept car.
The 2×2 coupe is completely electric, and can run up to 200 miles before it’ll need recharging.
Hamilton also has another Mercedes – the Maybach S600, which is a luxurious chauffeur’s car with a partition separating the front seats from the back.
Both those motors have a combined worth of around £800k.
And Hamilton doesn’t mind swapping four wheels for two – sometimes taking his £6,500 Honda CRF450RX Motocross Bike around the dirt tracks of California.
Then there’s also his Maverick X3 dune buggy that would’ve set him back around £20k, that’s also electric in theme with his eco-warrior status.

Ronaldo must know a thing or two about fishing coming from Madeira.
The Portuguese city is the capital of sport fishing, where a keen fisher will look to catch marlin, wahoo and giant bluefin tuna.
That’ll make a lovely seafood stew, for sure.
